The newest BlazBlue merch is luggage tags featuring the Central Fiction character select art. Available for preorder here, the website seems to list these as going for 50 USD per five tags? On SALE? 13 USD per single tag, also on sale.

I don't like being negative on this blog, or about things I'm just not the audience for in general... but I really wish ArcSys would stop reselling Central Fiction artwork to us in lazier and lazier sets. Please make something new. Old jpegs on a solid color background? I could print these for myself for basically nothing. I could make them in Powerpoint. Not even gonna add some glitter? Some fun patterns?

To be fair, Under Night In-Birth and Guilty Gear Strive are also getting the same kind of luggage tags, so this is just. Something they're deciding to sell right now I guess.

Hmm I want to get tour merch cause I usually do but I'm not crazy about any of what they're selling so idk

#i like the eras squares design but it's been so overused (not just in promo but in memes and stuff) that i dont really want it on a shirt #and merch is pricey so a shirt is prob the only thing id buy #ive seen people out and about in a sweatshirt that just says taylor Swift the eras tour and has dates on back. and thats kinda nice #but probably like $100

Recent/Unpopular Idol!Reader X Loser!König meeting at a fan meet and greet?

Konig chooses you because you're unpopular. It's literally that easy. He sees the social media posts of your idol group. You're part of a small band - tiny, even. Another group of yet another pretty face, nothing spectacular about your singing or dancing or your costumes. There are at least 4 other groups that act exactly like you - but there is something about the way you always look sad on promotional posts that gets him. Usually, idols aren't allowed real emotions - it would make stamping fans like him angry that another pretty girl allows herself to feel real emotions, but you're already unpopular enough that managers don't really go through your social media as carefully. He loves watching your stories, this tiny bit of unprofessionalism mixed with everything. You're not really popular, collectible carts with you are usually going in exchange for doubles or as a gift - Konig has every piece of merch that has you on it. Buying in triples and doubles in hopes that you would get at least a piece of the money - he hopes that you somehow would feel him supporting you. Horangi was the one to introduce the concept of idols to Konig - and honestly, pretty girl in skimpy clothes are not exactly his type of music, but he switched from hard rock to love ballads once he sees your demeanor, just a bit too shy and broken. He buys exclusive opportunities for meet and greet. Your agency is getting desperate, trying to promote you before the tax season ends - hoping to get the most out of you before another wave of pretty faces brings you into irrelevance. Your shelf life is just a few months, and your agents are fuming over being the only ones without other promo opportunities. Selling a date with you was just about the only thing they could do - hoping that the media backlash would bring you enough attention to get you through. Konig has enough money to buy your date in triple amount - but he still spends the whole night awake, not daring to close his eyes as his finger hovers over the booking option. You might not be the most important idol in the country, but he still wants to be the only one to get with you. This is an opportunity for the lifetime - meeting you, touching you. Sharing a dinner with you, even though your agent would be hovering over like a hawk. They can be persuaded - or threatened. Horangi has a bit of connection from his time of gambling, and Konig has enough guns and money to make a small, irrelevant idol like you disappear. Fans would probably think it was just a promotional scandal - maybe, you got a boyfriend or were caught doing something illegal. Definitely not kidnapped by a deranged fan who is certain that you're his perfect little wifey. You didn't even had fans, after all.

OMGOMGOMGKFMSGSKB IM FREAKING OUT IT'S HERE!!! MURDER DRONES EPISODE 7 TEASER!! EEEEEE!!! I went frame by frame and picked out some cool scenes I wanted to scream about, so get ready for a bunch of crazed ramblings and some theories !! (Long post ahead, folks)

Okay first of all- just- the lighting in these shots ✨ simply gorgeous... Also that "poster" thing in the background of the first image is very interesting.. obviously it says HELP (though that looks scrawled-on afterward with probably blood), and it looks like there could be possibly eyes? EDIT: it's not eyes it's two drones standing !!!

Also can we appreciate how creepy cool that hole in the ground is :00

THEIR ROOMS! THE SILLIES' ROOMS!!! WHAT SECRETS DO THEY HOLD?? I hope we find out

OKAY NEXT-

This thing. What is this thing. Probably part of the Solver, as it's all organic and eldritch-y, and it has veins. It looks lit from behind, almost like we're looking out from the inside of something? I think it's possible somebody gets dragged into one of those physical manifestations of the Solver, and this could be their perspective from inside it! Oooor we're looking at it from the outside, and there's something glowing inside the mass.

Next up, these guys??? So many possibilities here... They look like humans, but they aren't necessarily so, just like the "Tessa Isn't Human" theory. And from what little you can see in the teaser, they are moving in an odd way- suspicious. I originally thought they could be manifestation of the Solver or something, created to confuse, but after considering it for a bit, I realized it's more likely this scene is a flashback to when the core collapsed.

Okay. This shot is a bit confusing; can't really make out what's going on- To me, it looks like something is possibly exploding? And the red string things are lasers or something? Also the blobs in the foreground definitely look like Solver hands, but- that's all I've got for this one

Oh my gosh I just KNOW it's going to be an emotional response to something horrible happening- something to do with Uzi getting fully possessed, or almost dying, or N THINKING she's dead, or just all the stress of EVERYTHING, along with V's (hopefully not actually) death, and it just pushes him to his breaking point OH AND all the repressing he's been doing this whole time WILL NOT BE HELPING WITH THAT !!! I'm SO EXCITED TO FIND OUT AAAA-

Oh it could also be that N gets factory-reset, causing him to actually lose his memories or something, which is AN ENTIRELY DIFFERENT PILE OF ANGST, but personally I hope/think it'll be closer to the first one... It seems very likely to me that all of the stuff N's been going through (and how he's just been pretending everything's fine) would catch up to him, and it would lead to an "outburst" of everything he's been bottling up. PLUS do y'all remember that merch ad?? I know it was just a promo, but merch stuff has been shown to be kind of relevant to the plot in the past soo... yeah I'm feeling very good about this theory-

Okay so this is the same guy from the earlier image with all the humans- That feels notable, like they're going to be important. And is it just me and my poor video quality or does the Sentinel hand look glitchy?? Could it have turned on the humans like the one that turned on "Tessa" in Cabin Fever??

Oh dear, that's oil (or blood; they whole thing's too red to tell) coming from Uzi's eye... Feeling like the same thing that happened to Doll happens to Uzi... agh the ANGST hdfbsjsb

okay, so… here it is: a larger post of most of the treasure planet merch i’ve received but haven’t shared here. this stuff gets more and more niche/rare the further you scroll, so check it all out! let’s start from the top:

first up— we’ve got my complete collection of all the loungefly products. each one has jim on it so it was a must <3 personally the first release (middle) is my favorite but i think the pink backpack is prettier

second up— my 20th anniversary pin as well as my cursed concepts pin. such lovely grabs <3 then we have the pin i bought off the artist Dean Grayson from his “Heroic Rides” series on etsy. it’s fricken huge!

third— probably one of my favorites, my hallmark treasure planet cups. i got these off ebay and i have absolutely no idea what year they’re from. aren’t they so cool?! i got so many and they’re brand new. the print of jim on the cup is just top tier. “honey, we’ve got guests. bring out the fine china!” 10/10.

number four— my jim & silver keychain toys. these are olddd! if you know me though, you know i don’t keep stuff in the packages. silver could stay, but jim definitely had to come out. he zooms forward like a toy car when you pull him back and then let him go!

item number five— treasure planet for the playstation 2. i’m especially fond of this one considering the ps2 was my first ever gaming console that i owned myself. so many fun memories!

number six— my japanese art promo book featuring some of the japanese voice casting! as an anime fan, collecting japanese promotional material for american media is something that i’ve always wanted to do. i haven’t gotten my hands on a japanese movie poster yet, but it’s on my list for sure. this is a pretty close runner up though! i love all the pngs used for this booklet! (sorry for my weird hand placement in some of these, as the pages folded out and it was hard to photograph with one hand)

number seven— last one for now! i think i saved the best for last personally, but this is my disney adventures collector’s edition magazine for treasure planet back from 2002, the movie’s release year. let me tell you, this thing is such a throwback from the events of the year to the ads that come in the thing.

…AND THERE’S A WHOLE CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE COMIC IN HERE?! i had no idea! it was like striking gold! this is also one of my favorites of all the things i own. can we get a load of how cute he looks on the cover? he almost looks like he’s aware he’s posing for a magazine cover. so adorable!

okay so finished product. here's the blue beetle jacket (blue beetacket) inspired by the design by @drempen in their fanart. ill ramble a bit about making it under the cut but overall this was super fun and im excited to wear it to theaters!

basically i wanted a blue beetle varsity style jacket more then life and when it became clear this movie was getting very little promo and probably merch i realized i’d have to do it myself.

the design itself is heavily inspired by these pieces of fanart which i rotated around in my brain for So Long before deciding to make this.

it was actually easier to make than i thought it'd be. but honestly that's just cuz im lucky and know someone with a cricut machine who is much craftier than i am. the scarabs on the back and sleeves i used the cricut machine for. i just got some htv online and then cut and pressed those on.

the letters and numbers are iron on patches. i honestly kinda wanted a "class of 06" patch as a nod to the varsity style and jaimes 06 debut, but unfortunately thought of it too late to get one in time for sdcc (which is where it obtained the slight wear you might see in the first picture)

the "reyes" i embroidered by hand. its super messy cuz i'd only embroidered like two things previously, but i'm pretty proud of how it turned out.

Thinking about Angry's band and I keep thinking that Koko would make a helluva manager for them... like bringing them in a limousine? Check. Recording? Yep, he's got them sharing studios with the big-time bands in Japan.

Making sure to go all out in the promos? He's booked a concert hall in advance.

Merch? T-shirts and mugs are being printed and designed as we speak. Smiley already has a first look at the individual uchiwa fans and has distributed them out to the rest of Toman.

He'll already be arranging all of this stuff for them, practically setting up his own agency for them. He says it's because of all the money they can make, but he actually really loves how they sound.

He definitely does! He probably listens to them play once and then immediately offers himself to manage them. The others are a bit confused at first, especially when Koko feels too awkward to just say he likes them so instead says he likes the work of this stuff. But they agree and of course Koko goes overboard in helping them out, he does everything he can (including saying no to Chifuyu when he offered to design the shirts). He basically becomes another member of the band and nearly cries when they all make him come up on stage after playing so he can get the audiences appreciation too. Inui better delete that recording because Koko doesn't want anyone to see that!

MNCR merch...

It has a clean, minimalist aesthetic. Gender neutral. Functional. As one person said: it's merch for grownups.

You can even kind of assign members' aesthetics to the items: candle is Jungkook, that bar necklace is Jimin, lotion and lip balm to Hobi, rings to Yoongi, etc.

The prices listed on the preview are most likely the price tags in the Seoul pop-up. They are very reasonable, like the necklace is about $22 USD. And fyi, it only comes with the rectangular bar pendant and does not include the ring. It's interesting they added the ring just for a promo pic.

Anyway.

The sweatshirt is about $65 USD. The candle is about $26 which is what those 3-wick candles at Bath and Body Works cost at regular price. About $20 for the crate and it seems large enough to be very useful.

If this merch makes it to Weverse Shop, which we expect it will, I'm not expecting the prices to remain low. And then add in shipping... ugh.

Personally, I'm not a huge merch buyer. We'll see what the prices are when it all hits Weverse Shop.

Some are underwhelmed by the designs and the fact all of that decoding/puzzle solving we had to do only culminated in this pile of good.

Some are trying to reconcile the fact the photocard images appear to have been taken back in 2021 and none of the members look like that anymore. That is the case in any set of photocards. All of that collateral material must be produced way ahead of time.

That's ok. Not everything will please everyone. It was still fun while it lasted and seemed to clear out the negativity for a while.

The locations run concurrently for the most part. It's not a traveling show. They all close by the end of June, some open for longer periods than others. Some open longer than a month, one barely ten days. That's a long time just to sell merch. Unless there's something else to push while these shops are open. I guess we'll see.

Jin will be back while these shops are still open.

I just gotta say that there was some planning that went into this. And they started a long time ago. They probably had gotten a lot done (photocards) and then had to pause and regroup when things went somewhat off the rails in 2022.

Who knows, maybe Namjoonie's puzzling delay in enlisting (and perhaps the others) was because they were working on something else that goes along with this Monochrome project...

We wait™️.

does anyone remember when team salvato had that “for fans by fans” fanart merch contest, but like it had a backstory that monika “wasn’t allowed to participate” cause “she always wins and it would be unfair :(” but like all images of her and mentions of her name were glitched out, and in the background of the promo art there was a piece of paper with her poem “Hole in Wall” mostly erased (and not even in her font asset, just in the neutral/MC handwriting font) so all signs pointed to monika’s file being deleted

but then literally none of that was ever directly acknowledged in the posts or the merch for the contest, or in ddlc+ lore, or on other posts from team salvato’s twitter or monika’s twitter account? so, though it probably wasn’t intended to be lore to begin with, we never got any context for it, even within the constraints of the “backstory” for this specific contest?

Here's the entire My Little Pony 2024 Franchise Overview presentation. This was originally distributed online in mid-June 2023, and we reported on it then, but there are a couple of details that didn't make it into the post.

Slides 2–4. Various random stats which are mostly not important or not properly contextualized. I have just a slight feeling that the stat on slide 3 implying that MLP is bigger than Barbie at the moment is cherrypicked.

Slides 5–6. Slide 6 is the first slide with specific data about Tell Your Tale viewers. It tells us that Tell Your Tale outperformed Make Your Mark on audience approval and toy purchase basket size, and that it outperformed other franchises on repeat toy purchase rate. There are a few more of these stats on slide 20.

Slides 7–9. Tell Your Tale Season 2 will be real, and will have four specials (the accompanying visuals don't seem to be related, other than the beach stuff for special 2). They didn't really explain what "hair play in every episode" or "more magical moments" will mean, although maybe the former is intended to encourage the purchase of toys.

Slides 10–12. This is basically a summary of things that have already been done within the MLP brand over the last few years. "LBE" means "location-based entertainment".

Slide 10 seems to indicate that there are about 7 songs left to be released in Tell Your Tale Season 1.

On slide 12, from left to right, the featured things are the VR book My Little Pony: Virtual Magic; the Sofia Carson-narrated Calm "sleep story"; the I Can Read Comics Level 1 book Sister Switch; the first issue of the G5 IDW comics; the MLP mascots at the Galaxyland theme park in Edmonton, Canada; a render of the lobby of the My Little Pony & Transformers Playlodge in Shanghai; and the "Flight to Equestria" ferris wheel at Galaxyland.

Slides 13–14. Mostly licensed merch, although the Izzy brushable on slide 14 still hasn't been seen anywhere other than this presentation.

Slide 15. Another indication that Make Your Mark won't get anything in 2024: the best they can say about it is that it will "live on Netflix" (i.e. won't be removed from Netflix), which was probably going to happen anyway.

Given the "new episodes weekly" statement, 328 minutes can be neatly divided into 4 22-minute episodes and 48 5-minute episodes, all for Tell Your Tale. Consistent episode lengths make sense for Hasbro, since they intend to license their shows out to TV networks with standard half-hour programming blocks.

"Linear and AVOD" probably refers to traditional TV channels and ad-supported free streaming sites. Some past MLP content is already available on "AVOD" sites such as Pluto TV.

It seems like G5 music will continue to have that generic pop sound.

It's implied that some of the video games shown will be updated in 2024. Maybe not all of them, though, since the MLP Roblox game (Visit Maretime Bay) was shut down in February 2023.

Slides 16–17. They want to grow viewership a lot and convert it to toy purchases. They call Tell Your Tale their "one & only ponable content series"; obviously, maintaining two ongoing animated shows would directly contradict this statement.

The Pipp, Misty, Sunny and Izzy brushables shown all seem to be new, as is the concept art for the accessories of the former three. The Izzy brushable is probably the same one as on slide 14.

Slide 18. They will do a bunch of promo stuff, including releasing a licensed console video game in Q3 2024. The first and third Tell Your Tale specials are to be the tentpole moments (i.e. big marketing focal points) of 2024.

Slides 19–20. Slide 20 features some more new stats on how well Tell Your Tale is performing; it has 177 million cumulative YouTube views, good repeat viewership and better repeat purchase rate than Make Your Mark.

This image is from a different presentation, "2023 Marketing Plans". This slide reveals the Secrets of Starlight logo for the fourth and final My Little Pony: Make Your Mark special.

The "album launch" could be referring to the My Little Pony Theme Song (Sped Up + lofi remixes) EP that was released today. Or maybe something else?

This slide is from the other presentation that was revealed, "Hasbro Brands Overview". It doesn't really reveal anything that wasn't previously known, although it does suggest that Bridlewoodstock will feature in more marketing content through the rest of the year.

Notes

Almost all of the text in the 2024 Franchise Overview presentation is shown in the Calibri font. It doesn't seem like it was originally intended to be that way, and I think it might be due to custom fonts not being loaded properly by whoever converted the presentation to PDF. In spite of this issue, the presentation is likely genuine, evidenced by the high quality images embedded in it, including a shot from a future Tell Your Tale episode on slide 8.

Slides 15 and 18 both note that future plans are subject to change. However, it's probably somewhat unlikely that Hasbro could return to Make Your Mark in 2024. Even if they were to commission more Make Your Mark episodes right now, and could justify the budget for it, it would probably still take more than a year before the first episodes could be completed. I could be wrong about this, but there's nothing to suggest that it would be in the interest of Hasbro, Netflix, Atomic Cartoons or anyone else (except maybe the fans) for Make Your Mark to be renewed after 2023.

While the TYT Audience Report and MLP Shopper Analysis by AIM & We Are Family both seem to be focused on 2- to 8-year-old girls, it's not necessarily an indication that Hasbro is focused solely on this demographic – they might just be the most lucrative demographic, or the one whose analysis produced the best numbers to show to Hasbro's investors and partners.

so, i haven't really been here for a while because life happened but I found myself wondering recently, how is everything going here? from what I've seen louis looks really good and happy these days and he's joining a bunch of festivals? exciting things!

Hi there!

In terms of Louis’ trajectory— the general direction of his career— 2023 has been the best year for him ever. Including in 1D.

Louis released FITF, an album that went to Official Charts #1 in the UK, Billboard #5, and many top tens internationally.

After the 80-show world tour last year (2022), Louis then booked the biggest solo tour he’s done so far. FITFWT 2023 had 79 shows + AFHF. Louis played some of the same venues that 1D played at the height of popularity, and sold out the O2 Arena in London.

28 Clothing began selling products this year. The choice to partner with Hype Beast for the limited runs is on brand and very smart marketing. Using a separate marketing firm for 28 was also a great idea.

Louis will probably have one of the largest merch sales this year, all while keeping his prices average (for tour merch). At Matt Vines’ estimate of $38 per person on tour, he will have sold about (conservatively) $10 million in tour merch this year, not counting 28 Clothing. I estimate revenue for tour tickets to be around $14 million (assuming about 250k tickets for FITFWT 2023 at $55 per).

Even if these aren’t the biggest numbers, Louis’ cumulative achievement comes from many years of stop-and-start disruptions, much hard work and heartache, and— initially— some very hopeful, loyal, diehard fans who kept waiting for him and encouraging him.

The achievements also feel authentically won, as the biggest radio stations in the UK and USA are still blacklisting Louis from the airwaves. He might come on Jimmy Fallon and iHeart, but it’s rare to hear his music on radio— which translates to few streaming playlists. BMG UK also treats Louis like a catalogue artist and relies on fans’ word-of-mouth for promo. So for so many fans to show up for him at the concerts really means genuine interest, real love.

In addition, Louis is being nominated by some mainstream music media, like Rolling Stone UK and Billboard, for legitimate awards (Best Tour Act for RSUK, Best Music Documentary for Billboard). It reminds me of the start of his solo career in 2017-18, when Louis was up for awards like iHeart’s Breakout Solo Artist, Best UK/ Ireland solo act, and other awards, instead of simply being shut out as in 2019-22.

My opinion is that RSUK and Billboard have nominated Louis to harness the social media power of his fans and draw more attention to their awards (once again, free PR), especially since the Billboard award is fan-voted. However, attention to the awards also keeps Louis’ name in their publications.

Finally, yes!!! Festivals!

So far Louis has been booked in festivals only in Mexico, the UK, and Europe, but this is also where his audience has the highest concentration. The choice to do festivals with rock and indie acts makes sense, because Louis is already friends with many current acts (and has toured with several) and there’s potential for the audience to cross over. Listening to Faith In The Future, I would say that Louis can still go further in an indie sound. He loves his big pop choruses — bless— but he can convert them to rock, not just in instrumental arrangement but in spirit. To me, Back To You isn’t really a rock song and it doesn’t sound like a rock song no matter what, but it is fun. The festivals are a good way to test his music and go further. All around him are inspirations.

(It’s also inspirational to see people like The Snuts going out on their own label. Much food for thought.)

Also in terms of business structure, Louis and Matt Vines invested in OpenStage, a business that taps into direct-to-consumer marketing for artists via social media and texting. It’s too early to know whether this company is the “pirate” that bypasses big music labels, radio, and streaming services to sell to and connect to fans directly, or whether it will get bought out by a big PR firm or killed by competition. However, Louis has been doing independent festivals, playing at independent music venues, promoting smaller and indie artists, thinking about managing these artists and starting an indie label for years. These are early steps for Louis to establish a presence outside of traditional music industry.

With this event's prompts, I reallyyy want to challenge myself and write things I typically wouldn't/haven't so far. I'm sorry for starting out a week late with a no-happy-ending fic, I didn't mean for it to work out this way 😭😅 Thanks to both Lex and Lex for creating and hosting this event 💖💖💖

Since he was a boy, listening to a healthy combination of his mother's records and any and every radio station his dad could tune into, Eddie dreamed of being a rockstar.

When he was six, his grandma gifted him a battery-operated plastic microphone with sound effects. Later when he first moved in with his uncle and the Munson family had dwindled down to just the two of them, Wayne brought home an acoustic guitar from Goodwill.

Eddie practised and played away, sometimes for hours too long until underdeveloped callouses stung and bled. Wayne helped him paint 'This Machine Slays Dragons' on it so he could be just like Woody Guthrie, one of his mom's favourites.

He soon found his fellow bandmates in Jeff, Gareth and George. Gareth offered up his garage and Jeff came up with the name Corroded Coffin. Eddie and George made merch and drew up posters.

They practised and played until Gareth's mother kicked them out of the garage, complaining about what the neighbours might think of their noisy metal thrashing. They entered the Battle of the Bands contest in middle school, then started playing at The Hideout perhaps a few years too early for a handful of drunks who probably weren't listening anyway.

Then they spent the next few years scrimping and saving between jobs, travelling to other towns in his shitty van until they found an even shittier (but bigger) van and a studio that was willing to give them a booking to record a demo.

They shopped it around for a good long while as Eddie turned on his charm.

And one day they got a chance.

George called Eddie, frantically talking about a producer who wanted to re-record the demo with an expert on hand, all the while promising more music and a meeting with a potential manager.

And if all that wasn't enough, Eddie found himself with none other than Steve Harrington by his side.

After a good few years of pining and failed dates and the temporary comfort of other people, they finally got their act together. It was Christmas, just a few months after the demo got picked up. They kissed out on Claudia Henderson's front porch with snow falling around them as they promised each other more.

Then Corroded Coffin made it.

The perks came fast. Money – oh-so-much fucking money! Private cars and drivers to take them anywhere they wanted. Touring around the world and sightseeing between gigs. Adoring fans. Photoshoots. Magazine covers, interviews and TV spots.

Eddie always maintained it was about the music, though. The rush, the confidence and power it gave him to be performing on stage. Whether it be The Hideout or a goddamn stadium. It filled his soul from the moment he stepped on stage until the band finished their encore.

But most of all, he had Steve by his side. Always.

Until he didn't.

Until the night he got back to their hotel room, a swanky penthouse overlooking New York City that they always stayed in. They were barely a night out from returning back to the States from a quick promo tour in Europe for the new album.

Steve had left a note scrawled in his messy handwriting on the hotel's branded notepad.

'Going to Robin's' is all it said.

Eddie was angry at the time. He balled the note up in his fist and hurled it across the room.

At the time he was pissed because Steve was acting all bitchy pouty at the airport after barely speaking a word to him the whole flight. Then he was tapping away incessantly on the limo's middle armrest the whole car ride, looking at the window with his stupid Tom Cruise sunglasses on.

At the time he guessed it had something to do with the last night in Amsterdam. The band had a gig, the last one and Eddie just wanted some quiet so he skipped out on dinner, telling their security to pass the message on to Steve.

But it was just a tiff, right? Steve knew what it was like – how exhausting being on the road could get sometimes.

He thought Steve knew what the deal was, that he didn't mean anything by not going to dinner. Hell, Steve was used to a last-minute change of plans after years of this, right?

At least that's what Eddie told himself until Steve didn't call.

Or come back.

So, Eddie called Robin's number. No answer.

Then he asked Jeff to call, even their manager. Still nothing.

A call to Wayne made it real though.

"Eddie," his uncle had sighed, voice low and impossibly disappointed.

And then everything he had gained came to mean nothing.

As Eddie now stands at the door to Robin's apartment in Chicago, he knows he fucked up. Knows that it won't be easily forgiven.

Knows that Robin will probably cut his dick off if she arrives home from... Which gallery had she moved to, again? Steve told him. Weeks ago... months? He thinks...

He should have asked his publicist to look up the name of the gallery along with Buckley's address.

His stomach drops and tears begin to fall as Steve opens the door.

"Oh," his boyfr – Steve – mutters as his brows quickly knit together.

Eddie slaps his hand onto the doorframe, chancing the guy slamming the door shut and thus smooshing his guitar-wielding digits.

But then Steve rips off his wire-framed glasses and presses the heels of his palms into his reddening eyes.

"How could you just forget about me?" he sobs, his whole body shaking.

And Eddie is confident the sound of Steve choking on his own breath as he cries will haunt him for the rest of his life.

how to navigate archived mcr sites and content

so i accidentally deleted an ask that asked how to find and navigate archived mcr sites and content through the wayback machine. i'm so sorry to whoever that was, i'll reblog this multiple times so hopefullyy they see it.

here are a some recommendations, as well as a guide and some tips i put together. it's kinda long so i put it below the cut.

first of all, i wanted to mention that you can find archived stuff anywhere online, not just through the wayback machine. there's some cool archived content on the general archive.org site, or videos on vimeo. also just anywhere online. you can also find a lot of cool stuff on here through blogs that organize stuff by archive, history, or year tags. i've found a lot by searching for archives in the tumblr search bar (i recommend this mcr merch archive.) if you set out searching for stuff, you'll eventually find something.

now, here's tips on the wayback machine:

sites i recommend: - www.mychemicalromance.com (of course. go through the dif looks thru the years) - www.imnotokay.net (you don't really need the wayback machine for this because it's still up, but it's fun to see what it was like back in 06-07. there are hundreds of pages of message boards, and tons of photos, there's endless exploring on here because you can find old photos, interviews, avatars, and more in posts) - http://www.mychemicalromance.com:80/gimage/ (photos from their official site in 04. **tips on how to navigate below.) - http://www.chimehosting.com/prod4ever/mcr/gallery/fanfotos/ (fan submitted photos from their official site in 06. **tips on how to navigate below.)

STARTING OUT: vague searches: - you can just put "my chemical romance" or whatever you're looking for in the search bar and look through the results. this'll give you a lot of results, but the stuff at the top of the page will probably work best. - when looking through these search results, when you select one don't click the URL link, click the option below that says "[number] capture(s)". this'll send you to a calendar which is much easier to navigate. if you do click the URL link, it just goes to the most recent capture. this is annoying on the official mcr site because it currently redirects you to a promo for foundations. just use the calendar, it's so much easier. - also in the search results, under the URL it'll have a picture icon and says how many pictures are on the site. if you click that, it'll give you a list of URLs of pictures. most of them will be from the website design, but you can find other photos on there as well. there are also results for audio and video, but those are more uncommon. URL searches: - you can also paste a URL into the search bar and look through more specific results. - when pasting a link that just ends with .com or .net with no add ons, it'll take you to a calendar. there you select a year, hover over the date, and select a snapshot you want to visit. - **if you go through photos on the official site, most of them won't work. the URLs i added above make it so the only results are the ones that work. - **paste the photo links into the search bar, make sure it's on the "URL's" tab, then just go through them. it might tell you that site isn't archived, if it does, just click the link it gives you to search for all archived pages under the URL. - **the first photo URL gives you about 20 results, the second around 60. - **when clicking through those photos, i usually right click, open in new tab, then when it opens up a calendar i just click the earliest date.

!!!if a site isn't working, just select different snapshots along the timeline at the top of the page, or use the arrows by the date to click through them!!!

OTHER NAVIGATION TIPS: - some sites will have a picture you have to click on which will then take you to the actual site. it's like this on the mcr official site in its earlier years (i didn't realize this and thought the site wasn't working lol). - unless you have an archived version of flash installed on your computer, flash sites won't work. if a website gives you an option between flash and HTML, choose HTML. it does this on the mcr official site from like 04-07.

MCR OFFICIAL SITE TIPS: - if you go through photos on the official site, most of them won't work. the URLs i added above make it so the only results are the ones that work. - on the home page from like 02-04 there's a feed of updates written by the band that you can read through. it's really interesting and you can find stuff like scrapped song titles from three cheers. there are also downloads for audio recordings made by the band as updates, which i unfortunately can't get to work. if anyone knows how to, please let me know!

i'd say start with the official site, then go through fansites and stuff. also, if you share things, link the source! i can get lost in this for days, but it can be a pain in the ass to navigate. it's a lot of going through snapshots until one works, and it can take a while to load, but the wayback machine is very easy to navigate so it's not too bad. i think it's worth it, i've found a lot of cool stuff. i can't think of anything else, so let me know if you have any questions!! i hope this helps!
