because we like angst, sometimes I think about my alt timeline about Vito in chapter 12. I know hes the protagonist but what if he died during one of the shoot outs.
it's the weight of the guilt on Henry that does it for me. I remember making a note in my sketchbook once about, what if Joe told Henry Vito was short for money after the night of the fire or so, and even if Henry had been planning the drug deal for awhile this just solidified it, because this is such a great deal is it not? here Henry is being able to give his friends over twenty grand each. Add on Henry lying a little to Vito about who they were giving the drugs to, add on that Henry knew Vito was desperate for money and add on the fact that Vito loves Henry and Joe with his life, with his whole heart and they're all he has left because Leo had to leave and Frankie doesn't wanna be around Vito anymore, she chooses to stay away because of what Vito has become / is becoming. Add on Henry was one of the wiseguys Vito looked up to, and teaching an abusive, cheating husband a lesson, this is what a real man would do to protect his sister would it not? at least in his mind.
What else could he do other than do the deal with his best friends to earn money because not only does he need it, he craves and chases it too. Add on Henry reassuring Vito that it'll be a quick job and they won't need to worry about distribution. Add on that Henry knew Vito wouldn't do it if Henry didn't simplify the whole thing. And Vito wouldn't want to hurt their feelings by saying no even if he hates it.
Just thinking about Henry holding Vito and realising if he didn't set this deal up Vito wouldn't be dead and would still be alive and smiling because it's as simple as he has Joe and Henry. But now because of Henry's decisions, neither of them have Vito anymore, Joe doesn't have Vito anymore and maybe Joe doesn't see Henry the same way he used to. And this is the moment pre-slash that he realises his ideas are absolutely fucking stupid and look at what you've done Henry as he holds the corpse of a twenty-six year old young man, who just barely lived over half of Henry's life. Remember all the things Vito and Joe have done for you and this is how you repay them.

Maria and the whole broken heart thing, I guess it is a bit like Frankie. What Vito has become has driven them away either physically or through death.
Vito dying in Henry's arms, that could be the first time he's ever seen Henry cry. And what if Vito apologised to Henry- he's sorry about doubting you Henry, he's sorry about getting mad at you for not seeing him in prison because he should've known you would've had your own things to do wouldn't you. I mean you are a wiseguy after all. He's sorry for being slack in the shoot out, he's better than this and it was his fault, it wasn't yours. And then Henry cutting him off and apologising to Vito and Joe, this was his fault and he's sorry. He's sorry for not thinking it through, sorry about practically ruining their lives.
Emphasising how painful it would be for Henry, Vito was doing this job for Henry, he was doing it because he believed in him, he did it not because he would like it but because he wants to support his friends to the very end. Henry knew Vito wouldn't have done it if Henry didn't lie. Henry is aware that Vito wouldn't like this job no matter what, so holding his dying body in his arms while realising about how he knew Vito wouldn't like it. Even if there was a chance this deal could've gone smoothly, as Henry assumed, something bad still happened, and Henry realised too late that he didn't think through the possibilities, or that shit happens. Something he warned Vito and Joe about but something they didn't warn him back about, probably because they love him too much and he's an idol, one of the men they most likely grew up watching and admiring and thinking he's quite smart.
Henry you dumb fuck istg, ily.
Actually, what if in this timeline, I mean I don't know how rich the Falcone family is, they could be richer in this one. But what if when Henry gets found out and they have a conversation about it. Eddie pays off most of their remaining debt.

An - just a heads up as I said in my Korra fic this will probably be my last clarisse fic For a while. The hyperfixation and excitement to write for her is slowly going away, I will be writing most all of the request that I do have for her eventually but other than that I will be taking a short break I hope you all understand!
The sky had a thick layer of grey over it. The destruction to manhattan causing cement and other forms of pollution to take over the air.
Swinging your weapon aimlessly you tried to fight off the growing hoard of monsters. It was hard, fighting for gods know how many hours, seeing people you loved and care for die in-front of you and slowly loosing your siblings.
What hurt the most was seeing kids you grew up and laughed with fighting against you. Fighting for a cause that would benefit no one, fighting for what seemed like a dream that was never going to be real.
Trudging into a hidden alley way you lifted up your shirt. Looking down you saw the poisoned arrow shot wound becoming purple; throbbing harder and harder by the second.
Muffling your scream you pulled the dirty bandages off your body, tossing them into a dumpster. Rummaging through the bag at your side you quickly tried to change the dressings.
In the middle of war a second of peace was rare, a moment to asses your injuries was non existent, a chance to mentally reflect on your surroundings ended in death.
Death that forever followed you.
Standing stiff you were almost to scared to look down. If you gas lighted yourself enough you couldn’t feel it, it wouldn’t be true. It was foolish to think that you could of hidden from war.
“Checkmate” a raspy voice behind you whispered. Tyla.. s a daughter of Tyche and a friend who you had always competed with. Simple childish competion that eventually ended in celestial bronze piercing through your gut.
You’ve never been the best fighter but receiving deadly wounds twice in one day was setting the bar low. Pulling her sword out you fell to your knees, a metallic sound swinging in the air and hitting you in the back of your throat.
Tylas rough combat boot pressed your face into the gravel, tears quickly falling out of your face. “See You in hell” sliding the rubber bottom off your cheek she spat on you. Walking away with the intent to kill another.
Laying in the dirty alley way your thoughts went from the pain slowly leaving your body to memories of her. Of clarisse.
Sitting on the doc together where you shared your first kiss at sun down.
The first argument which ended with you both apologizing and laying together.
Sneaking into the ares cabin just to get caught the following day because you accidentally grew dead roses outside her window.
The awkward confession and her asking you on a date.
… the promise you made to clarisse that you would come back alive.
You woke up laying on a mat, a few medics crowded around you and the crying face of the woman you loved above. You couldn’t help but smile, even in her worst clarisse still looked beautiful.
Will reached over and grabbed her arm squeezing it. “She doesn’t have long” he mumbled closing his eyes. “Be quick” he softly spoke, standing up and walking to another kid.
You tried to move but she quickly took your body into her arms. “Hey, hey don’t.. just rest” clarisse tried to stay strong but right now she couldn’t help but loose it all. “You gonna be fine” her voice broke.
Tears began falling from her eyes and hitting your face. Her weak expression destroyed your heart.
Grabbing her shirt as it was the closest you could Get to touching her. “I’m ok… everything’s ok” you whispered. Clafisse just shook her head, the color was quickly leaving your face. “I just have to visit my mom for a little while, it’ll just be for a few weeks ok”
Clarisse brought your body to hers, hiding her face in your neck. Your arms went lip and around you both dead flowers and weeds appeared. As a daughter of Persephone death followed you every where, even in your final moments.
It felt as though the world stopped. That the outside wasn’t real and this all was a bad dream but even the strongest warriors had to accept when the sun came up.

i had to reread what my initial thoughts about it bc it was months ago??? and after rereading im just like, huh what was i on— (just that feeling when you just cringe at your old posts ;; but idk i think the insanity/cringe sometimes can loop back into being a genius and the cycle just continues)
anyways i’ve been on and off writing yuusha’s bio and overblot yuu was just at the back of my mind chilling but i didn’t really do anything with it.
but now that i have the opportunity,,,, im gonna go on the magicless route this time bc i feel like I've said all what i thought if it was an overblot due to her own magic.
so uh from what i gather overblots are a mix of overuse of magic + intense negative emotion.
since it’s magicless yuu, i guess the one of the general headcanons around the fandom is that they’ve been too exposed to overblots and then intense negative emotions suddenly just triggered their overblot.
uh anyways onto the elsa parts

THE LYRICS ARE SO GOOD ;;; i really love how some broadway interpretations expand on the source material
and yeah you're right 🤧🤧🤧— yuusha would try to hide and escape, especially as she overblots bc she would try to avoid hurting people (and like elsa, it'd only hurt others more trying to escape bc of probably how she leaves destruction in her wake trying to make others stay away from her 😔)
(this is a small tangent but i remember thinking about an overblot kalim and i imagine him to be similar, like he would not hurt anyone intentionally in his overblot.)
anyways so the way it would go is that i imagine her friends got fatally injured either because a) she feels that she’s too “useless” without magic to help and wasn’t able to do anything OR b) her attempts at helping to try and prove that she can help without magic made everything worse.
and then she just goes into a guilty spiral then boom — overblot.
ALSO in the song, the way elsa briefly contemplated taking her own life but then realizing there’s no guarantee that would solve anything hnghgh (<- another unintentional parallel to my yuusha lore because that’s actually how she ended up in twst except she did NOT have the latter realization)
there’s this “yuu is dead” theory i’m just using and that the black carriage actually just caught yuusha’s soul after she took her own life from all the burden.
also some bonus angst context for that violin post :3
yuusha back in her homeworld is raised and known to be a gifted musician. people can feel the life and soul in her music but when people interact with her, they are usually met with an ice-cold (heh) personality.
the dead family member was the one who taught her music and the only one who was kind to her.
there’s always an expectation from her family to perform well and to keep up appearances as to not be a humiliation since anything she does can reflect on her entire family. (also hi, slight yuusha/jamil parallels maybe???)
the way she presents herself also stemmed from an incident as a child when she went apeshit on another kid bc she was defending a friend.
so from then on she was taught taught to conceal don’t feel those emotions — which just unfortunately extended to any positive ones, not just negative ones like rage.
so when she is brought to twst, there’s no memory of her being forced to hold back her emotions so she’s just unapologetically affectionate and open with everyone bc that’s how she really is.
but every now and then, memories of her breaking down haunt her in her dreams or as subtle reminders in the waking world.
then yuusha just goes on her day like she just wasn't reminded of her past.
(unnecessarily tragic lore my beloved, but anyway—)

Yes Im working on a Beta Riddle fic-
I swear I have scour the whole entirety of social media and have only found TWO fics of Beta Riddle and about five fanarts at best. IM DESPERATELY CRAVING FOR SOME BETA RIDDLE EVEN IF HIS NOT CANON- I WANT HIM AS LIKE A SIDE CHARAC OR SMTHG T^T
On that note, i have decided the best way is to just feed myself. Dont get me wrong I love the strawberry ant boi we have now but like-
The concept of Riddle? Being spoiled and bratty???
Can no one see how unhinge he couldve been? How even more satisfying it will be to defeat him when he OB?
Sadly my fic wont include any OB (unless I think of an idea to shove it in) but I'll give a brief— I always wondered how we would have to sympathize with Riddle even if he is a spoiled brat. Cuz keep in mind the whole goal of Twst is to litterally tame all these rowdy hormonial teens with i s s u e s.
Beta Riddle out of all them— if we replace him with canon Riddle into the canon universe, seems like the most well off dorm leader compare to the rest. Until when you realize, sometimes even the most brattiest person, the one who has been given alot since childhood can be neglected.
Aksjaksjaksk ALLOW ME TO BRAINROT RANT— I see Beta Riddle as touch starved- (as he should be lmao cuz twst is a 'non otome game' right ?) He was given everything as a child. He had a choice to not study, he got all the most expensive luxuries, all the toys, got a tart for his birthday, etc etc. What every child dream off- hell I wont be surprise beta Riddle's mom lets him eat ice cream before dinner.
But the one thing Riddle has never been given all throughout his life, was genuine care.
Cheesy ik- but heres what I hced/imagined:
Ever since young, beta Riddle is just as isolated as canon Riddle. Only the reason his so isolated is because his homeschooled by a hired teacher. His mother is always away busy with work so she never had much time for him. She spoils him with toys and gifts he wants to keep him happy but never bothered making time to give him what he needs. I imagined beta Riddle as a child used to be as hardworking at canon Riddle but overtime when he realized his efforts were only glossed over by his mom, he slowly starts to despise studying. Its like Leona's case where, he knows his mom wont even celebrate with him no matter how many A's he filled up his exams.
Might as well stop trying and seek attention elsewhere which is why when he came to NRC, the first time he ever get a chance to be in a crowd or what was considered public. He probs took the role as dorm leader of Heartslabyul because the old leader was a sticker for rules which is why it was so easy to grab that position when you can just cheat. Besides.. it doesnt seem the dorm members care much for these rules. Just break them all and call it a day.
Yes he has a chance to be with Trey and Chen'ya but they feel more like servants to him then friends. Especially Trey. But what can they do? They cant tell if Riddle cares for them enough to listen to them. And besides, Chen'ya probably gets a kick in making Riddle mad and flustered while Trey is just the 'I dont get paid enough for this shit—' babysitter. We already know Trey didnt bother stepping up to Riddle and smack some sense into him til he OB, tf is my baker boi gonna do with this bratty boi? Just let the man bake his tarts and be a malewife. All that problem solving goes to the one darling Riddle falls for and is desperately seeking their attention even if it were an act of defiance or looks of disgust >;3
This fic will take me a couple of weeks or more to complete cuz I only have the planning on board but how I will execute this writing will be slightly difficult.

Hi, I'm the anon who shared that thing about Jude and Laura Celia in Italy, I saw these rumors in the Jude fan bubble on Twitter, so I'll try to give a quick explanation about what I remember about that story
( And I want to apologize too if my English seems strange because this is not my first language and I'm not fluent yet <3 )
These people on Twitter had already noticed that Jude and Laura were together, they say until the trip she took to Spain was to see him, then she took a trip to Italy and they started to assume that he could also be there too.
So a photo came out of Jude and Rodrygo together and Rodrygo was in Italy at the time, so they put the pieces together and came to the conclusion that Jude really could only have gone to Italy with him

I'm not sure if this was ever stated in canon but I'll have to guess that Jack's greatest fear is probably to become completely helpless; To be in a situation where he's unable to use his strenght to protect the ones he loves and himself. He trains religiously because he's building fortitude not only to his muscles but to his spirit as well.
Since Jack is also a mentally strong person, I don't think he would overblot over problems that are temporary or fixable; So in situations in which time would heal the wounds (either physical or emotional), he knows that as long as he stays by his s/o's side everything is going to turn out fine in the end.
So if he were to overblot, I think the situation would have to be of a much higher magnitude; It'd be something that would leave deep scars in both Jack and his s/o, ones that could not be easily repaired. His s/o would be deeply hurt or negatively affected either by the forces of nature or the will of fate... Possibly either in an accident or in a self-sacrifice act. Also there'd have to be heavy consequences, such as for example s/o's body condition being incurable, having amnesia and losing their memories of Jack, getting a curse that would last forever... And of course, the trigger factor for Jack to OB is the stricking realization that the situation could be avoidable. It could be avoidable if only he knew better, if only he noticed it sooner, if only he were fast enough, if only he were stronger enough... He'd keep blaming himself for not being able to protect them and for being so weak, which is the two things he's most deeply afraid of. And thus... boom, overblot.

first shot we can see not just the people sitting at the help getting spaghettified but the floor and controls themselves?? which means it's not just everyone who works at the tva (who are all variants) getting sent back to the sacred timeline but presumably all matter that exists outside of the timelines. idk if this includes he who remains' lair/space rock/final resting place whatever but basically the sacred timeline is taking every single atom at the tva with it as we can see on the screen showing the timeline states.
this is small but i noticed that in the first ss the lights in the pie room aren't on but what i'm assuming are emergency lights are on in the hallway and around the entrance?? and im comparing this to the second ss which we've obv already seen. i would've thought that any backup would be in red but yk whatever it's just a show

i saw another post on twt that was like "omg loki talking mobius through the walk <33" like no these are clearly different scenes. loki is holding the mic in the scene where mobius is right there in the room with him, it's much more likely that it's (another?) he who remains variant (who is absent in the middle ss with the group). my theory for this scene is that after loki went around the sacred timeline finding everyone and restoring their memories they went back to a time in the tva before he who remains got spaghettied and do pretty much exactly the same thing again. which thinking about it now wouldn't really be a great narrative choice but fuck it it's marvel

rant sbout tofsy bc it kinda sucked
today was so fucking long abd it was mostly because if literature and ela class we were supposed to work ob our essays then but I bssically didnt and I was just sad all day today which sucked ass and I just wanna stay home tomorrow but theres a motherfucking latin test 😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀 its been like three days how sm I supposed to memorize a bunch if numbers i dont care about it sounds like im angry about today in general but im not just tired im angry abiut my latin teahcer making us do a test first thing in the morning. Im back from school (i have been here at least half an hour)

honestly surprised that the floppy drive in this s-330 still works. v good shit. after downloading disk images of the official sound library, burning 1 to a 2dd floppy with sdisk, using the s-330 utility disk to convert the disk to s-330 format (the archived images are s-50 format apparently), i can now use any archived s-50/s-330 samples i find. using the official RSB/L library is kinda goofy tho cuz those sounds are recycled in the roland pcm synths and romplers, but im sure theres some wacky stuff made by random people out there.
i am ofc also gonna put my own sounds in here. im super curious about the whole "12-bit sampler with a 16-bit output stage" thing. saw a forum thread about the interpolation method used and it sounds (words) cool but i also wanna hear how it sounds (sound). after i juryrig an enclosure for the msx-to-ps2 mouse adapter and my cheap 5" monochrome crt campers tv comes in im gonna go all out on this thing. for now im just getting used to the menus using OBS to capture the video output
