Castanopsis at Nagaizaka slope, Kumano Kodo Ohechi
Nagaizaka slope is a part of Kumano kodo Ohechi pass road from the Wabukagawa village to the Nagai village in Susami-cho. It is a promenade of beautiful natural forest, and azaleas bloom from mid-April to mid-May.
The view of the Pacific Ocean (Kareki Nada) is good there. The fresh green was shining beautifully in the sunlight reflected in the sea.

瀧神社の杉
三重県熊野市の瀧神社の本殿の前に大きな杉があり、御神木として祀られています。この神社ではバイカオウレンの群生を見ることができ、大杉の足元にもたくさんのバイカオウレンが咲いていました。

嫉妬深い山の神 A Jealous Mountain God
熊野古道・発心門(ほっしんもん)王子の近くの山中に異形のヒノキがあります。千十檜（せんじゅうひのき）といい、幹はまっすぐ伸びずに、たくさんの枝が暴れるように生えています。
この木は山の神として祀られています。山の神は女性の神で、地域の祭りの時は魚を供えるのですが、きれいな魚だと山の神が嫉妬してしまうので、醜いオコゼを供えていたそうです。

a goddess. People offer fish at the time of festival. It will be jealous if offering is a beautiful fish, so they offer an ugly stonefish.

樹齢３０００年の造形美 3000 Year Old Beautiful Texture
奈良県十津川村南部、標高1,076mの玉置山の九合目にある玉置神社の境内には、多くの巨杉が立ち並んでいます。
その中でもこの神代杉は樹齢3000年の古木で、その老齢が作り出す樹形美のため、他の杉を圧倒しています。
There are many large Japanese cedars at Tamaki Shrine in Nara, but this tree stands out from other trees due to the beautiful shape of old age.
