Heavy JJK spoilers ahead (post ch 221). Some thoughts on our favorite OP sorcerer’s fate.

I know everyone out here is saying that Gojo will die on December 24th. I get it. It makes sense, especially knowing Gege the way we do (god that would be horrible and I would not be okay at all lmao). But like… if he dies? I feel like that’s such cheap storytelling lmao.

Killing Gojo is frustrating and not enough for me. We all know Gege hates him and wants to kill him. And I get the parallels between Gojo killing Geto and Kenjaku using Geto’s body to kill Gojo (even though this wouldn’t make sense since Kenjaku canonically has been destroyed by Six Eyes users in the past). I get it. But why not do something worse? Instead of killing him why not take his eyes?

“Are you the strongest because you’re Gojo Satoru? Or are you Gojo Satoru because you’re the strongest?”

He’s the strongest because of his Six Eyes. Why not just… take that away? Blind him. Destroy his identity that way.

Y’all know I love Gojo and I don’t want him to suffer, but I think that’s a more interesting narrative. Because having Kenjaku kill Gojo for the Geto parallels feels like a waste after JJK 0. We’ve already seen Gojo and Geto clash. We’ve already seen their past together. We've seen this twice now. I don’t need it a third time. And if Sukuna does it? That’s so fucking boring and stupid and so goddamn predictable. If Sukuna kills Gojo, I will be done with JJK. Gege would have spent the whole story hyping up Gojo saying how powerful he is, only to have fucking boring ass Sukuna kill him? Gojo literally says to Yuji in the first couple of chapters that he could win against Sukuna. (I know. I know. "BuT aT wHaT cOst." I don't care. I stand by it.) Sukuna has also already done the unthinkable and taken Megumi. He's already killed dozens of people. He killed Tsumiki. Whatever. We get it. Sukuna is big bad guy. WHATEVER. I would be so bored if this happened. Sukuna is a BORING villain right now. Having this boring villain take out Gojo? It's lazy, Guys. It's predictable. I want more than that. Gege is capable of more than that. I said what I said. I think it would be a waste of both characters' potential.

(Edit: I also know that it’s been foreshadowed that past users of the Six Eyes and Ten Shadows have killed each other. I get that. I still think it’s boring because Megumi is possessed by Sukuna and Sukuna is fucking boring without Yuji. So idc about the foreshadowing. It wouldn’t be Megumi—the ACTUAL holder of the Ten Shadows—killing Gojo. It would Sukuna killing him. Fucking boring and lazy.)

Blind Gojo instead. Take his eyes. Take the one thing he’s cloaked himself with his entire life—his power. Make it mean something. He is nothing without those eyes. He literally changed the world of JJK by being born because of those eyes.

So take them. Make him be just like everyone else. Make him be just another guy in the story who isn’t special.

Gojo is a tragic character who is too powerful. Make it mean something. Take away the only thing he’s worth.

Take the Six Eyes.

Soap knows Ghost is beautiful. He doesn’t need to see his real face to know. It’s in the way he carries himself, his thick British accent, the arrogant quirk of his eyebrow that shifted under his mask. He never had any urge to take a peek at his face under that mask, always respected his boundaries, always stayed fairly within line.

But during the mission in Las Almas, where Ghost had so unwaveringly pulled off his mask, Johnny felt like his whole world had been shaken. Maybe it was because Ghost was his whole world Soap had been obsessed ever since. The crooked curve of his nose, his clipped and messy dirty blonde hair, the slight curve of his Cupid’s bow on his upper lip, the jagged scar that had been carved into pale, almost sickly skin. It was all so utterly Simon. Soap felt unhealthily obsessed. Genuinely, he thought that he could not be any more head over heels, and he goes and does this.

It was stupid how eager Soap was to draw his face. It was like he was a puppet on a string, pulled by his untethered compulsiveness. He had to be cautious. He yearned rip off the mask Ghost has just put on again to kiss him stupid in front of everyone. 141, maybe. But not the Los Vaqueros. He does have that sliver of sanity to hold himself back. But god, if that doesn’t just open up a door of opportunities for him behind closed doors. The extra areas of skin that were now not so unreachable was like dangling a candy in front of a child and expecting them to not take it.

Simon is beautiful. Simon is so pretty. Simon is stunning. Pure Bonnie.

Soap wills himself to shut the fuck up and focus on the mission. He wants to see Simon again. Preferably, in a setting with more light. Soap feels like he’s rediscovering ghost all over again, he wants to see his smile, his annoyed expression, his huffs and grunts, everything on his face. Good lord, does he have dimples? Soap thinks he might just die.

The act of seeing ghost’s skin lights something in soap. He doesn’t know what it is, but he feels the impatience and desperation to find out what it is. He grapples and tries to identify it, but like his callsign, it slips away and he’s left with a frustratingly empty feeling he knows only ghost can fill. I’ll find out. I swear, I’ll find it out.

Soap has never been a patient man.

It’s a bit fcked up that 2012! Mikey has consistently been the one to take on his mind controlled brothers. “Pizza Face” and “Parasitica” we’re basically two whole episodes where Mikey had to fight off his family alone while avoiding being mind controlled himself. I mean, it makes sense a bit. He’s likely the hardest to catch since he’s the most agile of his brothers and he has the most raw talent but still it’s a bit fcked.

He probably felt so much relief when Leo managed to avoid being bitten and turned into a vampire when they fought Dracula. Because he was finally not alone while trying to fight off the rest of his family. Though he was still the one that ultimately saved them from mind control in that episode as well. After all he plunged a steak right through Dracula’s heart. Which means he’s basically saved his whole family from mind control three separate times.

And don’t even get me started one rat king episode where Master Splinter attacked Mikey first. Which must have been so confusing and out of the blue for him.

remember dear writers,

write what makes you happy + not what everybody else claims they want because their minds change like the wind. That fic is still just as perfect with or without smut and thousands of notes.

I just think there’s something incredibly special about being a mage Hawke romancing Anders. All of the other companions find the mage plight annoying at the best of times and WRONG in the worst of times. Hearing their banter HURTS me sometime because hey… you’re saying all mages deserve to have Meredith imprison them because they’re all weak?? IM one of those mages you’re talking about! You think tranquility is fine? That’s ME you’re talking about??

The only one consistently fighting, consistently seeing mages as good and PEOPLE is Anders.

He’ll fight by putting his very life on the line for our freedom. Hawke is willing to throw away his home and be on the run again for their freedom.

I just think that’s really beautiful and really special.

So.... on the topic of those new charles photos, how like it is that one day engineer charles is so tired from looking at all the data and his eyes are hurting that he forgoes the contact lenses and goes for the glasses. And like once max sees him he just HAS to make the executive decision to never let charles wear contact lenses ever again so they keep disappering somehow from then on??? Maybe im projecting.....

The new Charles photos are now my Roman Empire.

No lie, one of the very first bits of the fic I wrote (to be posted in a later chapter) was Charles in bed going over a data report from the earlier free practices.

He’s wearing his glasses and not thinking much of it, till max gets out of the shower and comes into the room and just…stops. Because he’s seen Charles in Ferrari red, and a Red Bull polo. He’s seen him in hoodies and a suit and in absolutely nothing at all, but he hasn’t seen him with his glasses on yet.

“What?” Charles asks, looking up from the report.

Max has a towel wrapped around his waist and he’s dripping water onto the hotel carpet, the beige material darkening under his feet.

“You wear glasses?” Max chokes out, hands tightening their grip around the material of the towel.

“Yes?” Charles says, still not sure why Max is behaving weirdly. He doesn’t piece it together until Max swallows, adams apple bobbing visibly. Until his eyes darken with an all too familiar expression of want.

He makes sure to forget the contacts more frequently after that.

Also! Max has like an entire photo album of Charles photos and this is definitely one of his most absolute faves:

I’m rattling my brain for a vessel au version of Kieran because there’s no real legendary Pokémon who would need a vessel

Unless I used pecharunt since the toxic chain is what made the loyal three so grumpy and nasty

Kieran experiences extreme jealousy because of the player getting to be strong, getting to be the one the mythical Pokémon chooses.

A vessel in this au isn’t always a bad time if you look at the Ingo and Emmet stuff I’ve written/drawn, it can be symbiotic.

So maybe Pecharunt seeks Kieran out and makes a deal, that in exchange for greater strength and will, Kieran let’s Pecharunt hitch a ride back to Unova in the form of Kieran hair band or something of the sort

And meanwhile Kieran’s training, Pecharunt strikes more bargains with the Pokémon in the academy and spreads the toxic chain. And it spreads itself so thin it begins sapping Kieran’s life, he gets paler, more tired, he starts having nightmares about losing.

His jealousy and need to be the strongest trainer bleeds into Pechraunt’s desire for control and to feel grand, to the point the two have maybe messed together, Kieran unknowingly fusing to Pecharunt.

Sometimes he says stuff he would never say, not even on his path to being the best would he speak so weirdly. He’s become gluttonous, impatient, even more so. It’s like it’s not even him in there, it’s like something has infected his mind.

XO, Kitty spoilers kinda !!!

Sosososo many thoughts on XO, Kitty, but mainly I’m loving that, while yes there’s loads of unnecessary drama (like any tv show tbh), they let the teens be teens, and not sex obsessed, way-to-old-to-actually-be-in-high-school, party animals. Like, I feel like I’m watching a show about people younger than me finally, and not some 17 year olds with adult problems. And also ??? Love the queerness. Yes. Idk. And the drama is messy and I’m all here for it. Kitty and Yuri should be together, yes definitely, but also Kitty and Dae are so good for each other, but also ??? Kitty and Min Ho satisfy that enmities to lovers itch that I so adore. And all of the Kitty-centric pairings are still so wholesome and such. Idk. And don’t get me started on how the show draws from kdrama tropes. The pacing, the shots, the music, AHHGG it’s just so good. As far as teen dramas go, I was actually really pleasantly surprised. Solid 9/10 would watch a second season
