So hang on, hang on, lemme make sure I’m getting this right. So she’s in a psych ward. In a wedding gown. And she takes the “miracle move on drug” the “forget him” pill of which the effects are temporary. Right, right. And then she’s set free, and immediately walks into a sterile office in a VICTORIAN MOURNING gown! And sits down to start working away on her typewriter. She’s writing, and she loves her muse, and it’s ruining her life. Okay. And then she and the muse are laying on the papers, in love. The pages of her work, her diary, her songs, THE FILES!! And they’re together, and the pages are flying around them, blocking them from the camera, okay? You still with me? She reaches for the muse and then she’s getting electric shock therapy?? With curly hair?? Okay. Okay. And again, loving the muse is ruining her life. And all the doctors, the people closest to her, run away scared when the electricity short circuits or whatever, and the muse is the only one who notices and stops it from killing her!!! The muse is in a (glass) phone booth, and Taylor is sitting right on top, but out of view from the muse. And they are in the middle of NOWHERE. The rust that grew between telephones??? And then we’re back in the office, and she’s pulling all the files out of the drawers!! In the mourning gown again!!! And she’s letting them out, ruining the sterility, and she’s freaking out, sobbing. And then she’s facing the camera, stone cold, letting the files swirl around her, now out in the open ON FIRE I MIGHT ADD. And back in the psych ward in the wedding dress, she breaks the glass to escape, to bolt?? And then, once the files are free, once the glass is broken, once the muse steps out of the glass!! Then she can touch the muse. Then she can touch the muse. Somebody give me an oxygen mask, holy shit

I think Fortnight is also talking about the pandemic.
Fortnight is two weeks, remember they kept pushing back quarantine by 2 weeks. And 14 days was the isolation period.
“Another Fortnight lost in America.”
“Move to Florida” because they opened up early.
I think the pandemic delayed her re-recording of the masters and her coming out. She says in the beginning “no one is to blame but what about your quiet treason?” The pandemic was no one’s fault but because so much was stripped away from her in 2019, she had to keep waiting to get everything else in order and when the world was seemingly ending it probably felt like that moment was gone.
“All my mornings are Mondays stuck in an endless February.” Quarantine started in March. So last time we lived a “normal” life was in February.
It’s a universal feeling, that we all lost time to the pandemic.
“And for a fortnight there we were together” I think this can be taken as politically too. In the beginning we all were ready to keep each other safe and then it turned into a left vs. right anti-science battle.
And the reference to ME! At the end
“Buy the car you want but it won’t start up till you touch me”
She can be with Kar down in Florida but she can’t move forward with her publicly until that “ME!” moment is taken care of… coming out

A Wrinkle in Time - The Story of Us and the Met Gala 2024
I don't want to raise any undue kaylor hopes but I have to dump my observations here, so enter at your own risk 😉
Since Midnights Taylor has told us that the love blackout is a glitch, or a wrinkle in time, something that interrupted the intended state of being, but will eventually end.
Glitch - The system's breaking down
Midnight Rain - So I peered through a window
A deep portal, time travel
All the love we unravel
And the life I gave away
Hits Different - A wrinkle in time, like the crease by your eyes
Side note: 'A Wrinkle in Time' is actually a book by Madeleine L'Engle and it's a science fiction story about a girl who gets sucked into an alternate universe run by an evil entity called IT that forces people into conformity (heteronormativity much...?). She eventually triumphs over the evil by facing her own fears and insecurities and becomes the hero in a 'love beats all evil' kind of way. 👀
Now that we have TTPD there is an even stronger narrative of coming home to the person who's been waiting for you all this time (I'm still in shock about that tbh).
MBOBHFT - Just say when, I'd play again
FOTS - Now, pretty baby, I'm runnin' back home to you,
To the house where you still wait up and that porch light gleams
To the one who says I'm the girl of his American dreams
The Alchemy - But I'm coming back so strong,
So when I touch down, call the amateurs and cut 'em from the team

And in addition, in The Albatross the villain (Anti-Hero?) eventually becomes the hero, much like the heroine in A Wrinkle in Time:

I swept in at the rescue
The devil that you know
Looks now more like an angel
So, it might be foolish, but I'm tentatively optimistic that a Kaylor revival is on the cards. And our Anti-Hero seems to be preparing for her act of heroism.
This is where the guesswork starts so leave now if you're not up for a bit of clowning 🤡 Ok, so I noticed this today:
In So High School, Taylor places her bearding show with 🏈 at a time 'at the brink of a wrinkle in time'. At the brink means the wrinkle in time is imminent. Are we about to time travel back to when the glitch began in 2016? And have we not already said that Taylor's recent overexposure, Bahamas trip and Coachella are all very 2016-coded? And do you remember what else she last attended in 2016? Oh yes, the Met Gala. Which brings us to....The Garden of Time.
The theme of the 2024 Met Gala is 'The Garden of Time', based on a short story by JG Ballard. I've put a summary above, but basically, it's about a man who can reverse time by cutting flowers from his garden, each time buying him and his wife a bit more time in their little paradise before they eventually pack up all their treasures and brace the invasion. Firstly, that really reminds me of the🎃 7th message that's about picking daisies and dandelions in the garden of the house that is their safe haven behind the tall fence. But you can't keep a paradise hidden forever, every move to keep away the invasion also takes a sacrifice from the beauty of the garden itself.
Secondly, this year also just so happens to be 13 years since Taylor and Karlie first met at the 2011 Met Gala (yes, they'd been introduced before then but that's the first time we know they spoke and started their in joke about 'baking cookies together'). So...13 years of the story of us, so to speak. And the Story of Us came out as a single on April 19th 2011 and was recently referenced in both the Fortnight music video and the Spotify pop-up library in LA.
So.....is it time to tell the story of us 13 years later?
