He was always watching from afar. He would watch the way you would always say you were tired, but you'd be paying full attention every class. He noticed how you would genuinely be interested in class when you enjoyed the subject, but when you didn’t you’d subconsciously frown at the work given.
When he was practicing afterschool, sometimes he’d see you walk out of school a little too late and he’d realize you were studying in the library again. He would usually just watch, but today he just really wanted to talk to you. Maybe he was feeling particularly lonely that day after you had a seating change and you sat even further away from him than before. Whatever it was, he was feeling rather impulsive today.
“Sorry, I’m going to go ride outside for a bit,” he told his teammates and rolled his road racer outside. Little did he know, most members of the team knew about his little crush, especially the third years. It was a little too obvious to not notice, because every time you were in his line of vision, he was looking at you. They had hardly ever seen the two of you talk, but all they could hope for was all the best for their vice-captain— he was always looking at you with the sweetest gaze ever.
And for the first time ever, he was stepping forward
“Okay, take your time,” Izumida said.
“Hm? Oh, thanks,” Kuroda said, unaware of what Izumida had meant.
Oh, would he just end up just walking past you again? He wanted to talk to you, but what would he say? Immediately, he knew he would probably end up just watching you from afar, unable to say anything. He sighed at the thought of that.
But to his surprise, you turned to look at him. Okay, now what does he do? What does he say?
“Oh, Kuroda!” you said, taking your earbuds out. Gosh, he loved that about you. You were probably only going to talk for a bit, there was no reason for you to put them away. Yet, at the same time, he was somewhat surprised you knew his name— you were in the same class, of course you did. Maybe he was surprised to hear you say it, rather. “Are you off to practice now?”
“Oh, yes. I’m in the road racing club... which is probably obvious now,” he said, frantically. Gosh, he was making a fool of himself, you didn’t even ask! He was just so flustered, the words weren’t coming out right.
“Of course, I know!” you said. “How would I not know Mr. Vice-Captain of our school’s pride and joy road race team! Do you have a race soon?”
“I do. Quite soon actually... on Saturday,” he said, mind blank. He was just going to answer your questions now he wasn’t capable of much more, he realized.
“Saturday! I really shouldn’t hold you up then,” you said and he scolded himself for saying that. He would’ve rather talked to you for a little longer and practiced all through the night if he had to. “Where and when is it?”
“Just up the Hakone mountain,” he said, surprised. It’s one thing to ask where, but to ask when? He was going to start having some false hope. “In the morning, at around 9.”
“Would it be weird if I show up?” you asked, a little less energetic than before, almost as though you were afraid he’d tell you not to come.
“No, not at all,” he said, a little too quickly. “...Please do.”
Immediately, your face glowed up the way he loved to see it. He could not believe you were talking to him right now.
“Then, I will definitely be there,” you said. “I’ll let you go for real now, I want to see you win that race.”
“Oh, crap, I forgot my water I’ll need to go back to get it. I’ll see you,” he said. “Thank you.”
“See you!” you said and walked off, putting your earbuds back in.
He didn’t lie, he only had one bottle when he usually carried two, but usually he’d just go on and buy something at a vending machine. However, he knew his ears were red and the last thing he wanted was for you to see. He walked back in and no one questioned how quickly he was back, (because they were all watching) which he found weird, but that was the least of his worries.
“How did it go?” Izumida asked.
“Oh, I haven’t gone yet,” Kuroda said. “I realized I forgot a water bottle.”
“No, not that,” Izumida said, finally tired of playing dumb.
“What?” he asked, then looked around and saw that quite a few more people were looking at him, eagerly waiting for him to go on. “Were you all watching??” He felt even more embarrassed than before if that was possible.
“(L/n)’s coming... on Saturday,” he said quietly, covering his face with his hand, hoping they wouldn’t see how red it was.
“Oh, you really have to win now~” Manami said, and that made Kuroda smile.
“Yeah, I really do.”

whenever i hear Shut Up and Dance i automatically manifest a PMV with Sans/MC FHGSD HEAR ME OUT--
it’s honestly such a perfect song for them, like imagine. Sans just hates dancing in general; like whether it’s slow dancing or even just dancing for the HECK of it, you name it but Reader/MC is one of those people who is just, you’ll see her probably dancing to literally any and every song that’s playing. Me: Hmmmm I think I need to start watching/reading/listening to more silly lighthearted media. I've been consuming too much heavy stuff lately and I don't think this is good for my overall mental wellbeing without something to balance it out

ive had many Thoughts about tmagp but i feel reluctant to share any of them since i feel silly trying to speculate about a show that barely even has any episodes and tbh i think im justified in this bc last week i was gonna post like "i wonder if the fears only started manifesting in the protocol universe around/after 2018 since all the incidents so far happened in 2022 👀" and then this week we immediately got an incident from 2009 -_-
#kinda had a feeling that was the case anyway (which is why i Didnt post it) since only having a span of like 5ish yrs#that incidents could possibly take place could be super limiting but like....i still am wondering when manifestations started#my bet is that is was probably when/around the time the magnus institute burned down (why the fears went into The Past of this universe#also has me 🤔) which tbh im hoping for bc i feel like if its much earlier than that then its just sort of. stupid#like i think whats really interesting about the fears being in a new universe is that theres no real history attached to them yet#the oldest avatars have only been around for like a couple of decades at this point. what few cults/groups there might be are very new#nobody knows shit about fuck yet and theres so much potential for how things go. and thats just so much more#compelling imo than 'oops! all established groups and people and frameworks!' again#blathering#got on a bit of a ramble sorry. like i said i have a Lot of thoughts. none coherent of course lol

How do you use map icons in totk cause mine are:
Leaf: foraging area for rare/useful materials (fun fact you can get hearty bass at that low gravity island with the mirror puzzle, the water never refills but the fish still spawn and just around on the floor. It’s part of my “post blood moon rotation” of foraging points and enemy spawns.
Skull: enemy I can’t reliably defeat yet (I finally got all mine off my map! TAJE that silver lynels you fucking suck ass)
Sword: mini boss/tough enemy I can reliably defeat
person looking one: Addison sign or backpack korok to return to later
Crystal tower thing: depths ascend point
Cooking pots: overworld cooking pots in useful locations so I don’t have to rely on portable ones all the time
Hearts: korok puzzles or areas I think are going to be used fir a side quest later
stars: anything else, usually related to whatever I’m working on at that moment
Bonus content: my material grinding routine for every blood moon as a paranoid newbie to this franchise who is not going into the final fight until I’m considerably over prepared.
Immediately go to the Lanayru Promenade and teleport to the O-ogim shrine, ascend up and defeat the three lynels that spawn in a line heading northwest from that point. This is both farming for weapons and fuse parts AND practice with dodging and flurry rushes (it took me a Long Time to figure them out and I’m not going to stop until I can get 5 in a row)
Then I open my map again and teleport to two locations where Gibdo’s spawn (gibdo bones my beloved) generally the underground cemetery then the ancient altar ruins, it’s generally worth putting a travel medallion down in a Gerudo cave of your choice cause desert travel is awful and most of the caves for some reason don’t have shrines
Then I teleport to several sky islands rapidly:
Ga-ahisas shrine in the North Tabantha Sky for aforementioned fish
Josiu shrine in north Necluda sky (then to the island north of it with the pond) for a big radish + everything else those islands grow
And finally the water temple, as it’s my preferred location for farming Construct parts. I like combat in low gravity im a sniper at heart just let me have infinite bullet time
(my current plan for Ganondorf is a full inventory of rocket shields + multi shot bows + gibdo bones. everything else is a backup plan. I hope I don’t need the backup plans cause they’re not very good. One is literally to look up on YouTube how to build an indestructible car and just run him over till he dies)
Then I stop off at Sturnida Springs Cave (north + a little west of Rito Village) aka the crazy mushroom cave. Also a decent place for a travel medallion tbh, it’s fairly far from any travel points.
Then its Hateno to harvest from the school field and set the new crop (I’m usually rotating between endura carrots and hearty radishes) and buy out anything useful at the store, mostly pumpkins. And arrows. I consider anything under 150 to be running low.
If I’m running low in cash I track down a rare stone talus or two, there’s two fairly close to the Gerudo Canyon tower.
Then I spend the remaining time either defeating gloom spawn/boss rematches in the depths/more Lynels depending on what I’m running low on, or farming parts from a dragon (I try to rotate but. It’s usually Dinraal cause she’s my favorite dragon)
And when I inevitably get bored of this I switch to collecting poes in the depths to buy bomb flowers.
And yes. My link does have a severe addiction to speed elixers. That’s none of your business. It gets the job done. Gan won’t know what fucking hit him (it’s bones and bombs. He’s getting hit by bones and bombs)
And anyway I don’t want to do the final boss until I’ve done the majority of things to do in the game, it feels like the finale should be… final, yanno? I’m not gonna find every korok seed or anything but I do want to get all inventory upgrades, get every armor piece and upgrade most of them, do all the side quests, fill my compendium most of the way, etc.
but even then I’m still REALLY close. I’ve got like… three shrines, five quests, 4 wells, and maybe 2 armor pieces left and SURELY more m close to getting all the Addison signs I mean I never slacked on those. I already have plans lined up to get upgrades for the armor pieces I already have (fuck the goddamn star things I just want to upgrade my own damn canonical armor and you want falling stars AND dragon parts? Thinking about the news cycle and someone else said it but. The problem with living in an era with live television and social media updated every millisecond is that we, in one corner of the earth, are instantly (or nearly so) aware of trouble or joy happening in another corner. And then we move on.
We here in the US know about Ukraine and their fight, we know about Iran women and their fight. Those are really the only two I've seen, though, recently.
They are historic events, but because the whole world can be aware of them and praying and hoping for one outcome or another, it doesn't really feel like it. Newscasters or reporters say "these are historic times" and I say "its just thursday." That doesn't mean I'm less impacted or affected by these events- my heart hurts for them. But my heart can only hurt so much before even the most empathetic and sympathic people care too much and forget how much we're "supposed" to feel.
Before the intant-news of today, or i suppose the past 200~ years, (back to 1822, approx. When did they make the telegram? I suppose, though, this limits me in what I believe to be instantaneous. But I digress.) knowing what is going on in someone else's corner means we're all focused on it for some time, and then move on.
Or maybe, is that something only new?
When did we stop focusing on something horrible or amazing until it was done? When did we decide to shorten our attentions? When did we decide the right amount of time before we generally move on?
Is it something that came around during my generation, Gen Z?
I ask all this, really, because I see Ukraine signs or flags or the cool trident-like symbol as bumper stickers or signs in people's yards, declaring to their neighbors, "I stand with Ukraine!"
...ok, doesn't everyone?
This is different with the women (and other people, but women seem to have the spotlight because news channels want to focus on the right to or not to wear a hijab, when I have heard its more like everyone wants that government/regime? To be replaced ad gone?) in Iran. I see less support for them in ways of signs in yards or bumper stickers on cars. Do we support our sisters and family less? Why? Because its a country in the Middle East? Because they're Muslim? Because they're brown, and not European white? Because Russia has always been the big bad, so its easy to face against them, cheering on Ukraine (with just that? Cheers?), but Iran is more messy because... well... you're afraid? To support people wanting huge change?
On the one hand, I'm glad the US military (as far as I'm aware, and I'm not very, admittedly) is keeping their fingers out of Iran to help the people. On the other, I wish there was more sympathy for people rising up. Isn't that our (USA) thing? We couldn't help but keep our noses in the Middle East when it was relevant toooo.... *checks notes* suppressing terrorism (oh what was deemed as such) and keeping American Gas Prices Low (*stands all high-and-mighty such*), but when it comes to what seems to be, I guess, a civil, or peoples' right, we're not so keen.
My original point of this post was to point out how in ye olden days (that weren't really that long ago- 200~ years ago?), my history books point out things that happened in one place, and then another, and help me realize these two major events overlapped. Like a Chinese Dynasty falling and a middle-america indigenous nation rising, or something. And how the future history books will put, say, 9-11-2001 just a few pages before 2020 Pandemic, and then, oh, also This, This, and This happened. In two years.
Are we just going to get more close together in "historic" events? What's going to be big enough and affect (effect???) enough to be worth putting on the history book's page, because, well gee, the 2024 Irish Rebellion (Successful! Edition) is coming up and we can't exactly dedicate a history book to single 30 year period! But what if that much stuff happens? How do we know what is going to really make an impact in the long run?
I'm tired of "historic" events. I get that when I was younger, historic stuff was happening (maybe) and I just wasn't aware because I was 10, but this seems a little outrageous. Is it just because the world is more interconnected? Has it always been like this? Why are we getting more events like this? Is it just the season/part of the cycle? What cycle????
I'm tired.
