Emergency Commissions are OPEN!
Wow, this sucks. Sorry for the rant ahead.
MY COMMISSION LINK: http://ko-fi.com/montyhorror/commissions (so you can skip my rant lol)
Commissions will be done in this style:
Tumblr media
Uh oh, incoming rant:
I’m opening commissions earlier than expected because I just found out today that I have to re-take an exam from my college, otherwise I will NOT be able to graduate. The problem is:
1. I can only retake the exam AT CAMPUS. Which is in another state, in a city where none of my family members are even remotely close to. So I have to buy a plane ticket, to and back, for only a SINGLE day for ONE exam, AND get a hotel room or some shit because the house I was renting before isn’t ours anymore so I can’t exactly just go back there and chill.
2. The re-sit exam is in 10 days, which means I have to somehow finance a ticket AND accommodations by myself. For the record, I could borrow money from relatives (so it’s not like I would be completely out of luck if I can’t make enough money soon) but I would still have to pay them back, which is why I need the money.
I am beyond frustrated and honestly just tired, but no amount of telling them “hey, this isn’t financially viable and there’s no good reason why I can’t just take this shit online” will convince me college, so I guess I’m just fucked.

Tumblr media Tumblr media
IT was about 11 pm on a Sunday night, usually you’d be in bed, ready to sleep— but you had an important exam tomorrow so you used all the extra time you had to study for it.
You sigh at the thought of taking your exam tomorrow, it was infact a math exam and to your luck you were horrible at the subject.
Your roommate, shin ryujin aka the nerd of the house, promised to help you with studying today which was another reason you were still awake, waiting for her to return to your apartment even though it was late as hell.
You sat in silence, thinking about the answer to the 4th question on the study guide ryujin made you before she left, she made sure it was as difficult as the exam because damn, you were struggling on it too.
Your thoughts were interrupted by a loud thud coming from the front of the apartment, this freaked you out because usually, ryujin messages you 5 minutes before she arrives home. You quickly grab the bat sitting in the corner of your room before slowly opening your room door to go check what the thud was.
The only source of light was coming from your room since you earlier turned off any light you werent using to help the light bill a little. Rushing to turn on the living room light, the front door was still unlocked but the light to ryujins room was on.
Okay, what the fuck.
“Ryu, is that you? Are you home?” you call out, making sure it was her in her own room and not a intruder. You let out a sigh of relief after hearing her swear under her breath. You discard the bat somewhere on the sofas in the living room before walking towards ryujins bedroom.
You tried just walking into her room as you always do but the door was locked. weird. “ryu what was that thud about? are you okay in there?”
“Im fine yn, just dropped my dumbell on the floor.” she responds almost out of breath. weird x2.
“dumbell? since when did you have dumbells?” You question putting your ear to the door so you could hear her better, instead you hear her unlocking the door so you quickly moved away waiting for her to open it.
She opens the door standing in the door frame with a smirk on her face, yes you said she was a nerd, but she was still popular in school, played sports, basically your local f-boy with an actual big brain. “What do you mean since when did i have dumbells? do you think i just have these abs through genetics?” She taunts motioning her hand up and down her body. your eyes follows her hands eyeing her body, your eyes widened, “Like what you see? well you can always—”
“SHIN RYUJIN WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO YOU, SERIOUSLY WHY ARE YOU BLEEDING SO MUCH!!! OH MY GOD I NEED TO GET THE FIRST AID KIT.” You panic after seeing the large bloody cut on the side of ryujins torso, running to find a first aid kit. Ryujin eyes widened and looked down.
Ryujin curses to herself in her head for forgetting to heal that spot, she expected You to be sleeping by this time, what she wasn’t expecting was her roommate finding the large cut a villain left on her, that she forgot to heal.
She slowly stops the bleeding on the wound, enough that you wont notice its stopped completely. She could hear your footsteps becoming louder.
Standing up straight placing her hand on her cut, she watched as you guided her to the dining table, sitting her down in the chair, placing the first aid kit onto the table.
“Seriously ryu are you an idiot? How the hell did u even get a cut this big?” You scold patting the cut down with alcohol wipes.
“Ahaha, its no big deal babe, i didnt even feel a thing.” Ryujin replies smiling down at the girl whose glaring at her through her reading glasses. “So, whyre you still up at this time, yn?”
“I was..waiting for you.” You say shyly , wrapping the wound in a bandage. “And all done, youre welcome.”
Ryujin ruffles her hair before standing up, secretly healing the wound in the process. “Awww, you were waiting for me?” She grabs yn’s cheeks.
Your cheeks heat up immediately, ryujin was always a flirt so why is this effecting you right now? “N..No! I was waiting for you to help me study ryujin. You promised..”
“Oh shit I did, im sorry ill help you study now.” Ryujin says grabbing your hand, leading you to her room to help you study. Letting out a sigh of relief that you didn’t bombard her with questions about why she was home so late.
“Oh by the way.. why were you home so late? its nearly 1 am.”
Shit.

Today had really taken its toll. Three exams, breaking up a fight between Satan and Lucifer, and in the middle of cooking dinner for everyone Beel kept trying to eat my ingredients! All of it was adding up and you were dead tired. So why couldn’t you fall asleep? It’s been two and a half hours and nothing. You could cry at how frustrated you were.
You decided that if you can’t sleep you might as well go annoy your favorite demon. You don’t even bother to knock on Mammon’s door. At this point you are both so used to each other just barging in. When you opened the door you noticed a lump on the bed. As you got closer you saw the white hair you’re so familiar with. He was asleep. Perfect opportunity to fuck with him. His face does look really peaceful… Do you really want to ruin that? Hehe fuck yeah i do.
You slowly reach towards his shoulder, ready to shake the ever-living hell out of him. As soon as you make contact Mammon grabs your hand and quickly fling you onto his bed and straddles you and holds your wrists tightly against the mattress. *What the fuck just happened* you thought.
His furious eyes take a moment before realizing who is underneath him. He smirked. “Well well well. Look who we have here. Does the little human think she can sneak up on me that easily?”
You were breathing hard. This is not how you expected this to go at all. But you weren’t mad at this situation. Or the position.
“You okay princess? You’re breathing real heavy.” Mammon said with slight concern, slightly lifting his weight off your legs but still holding your wrists tight.
You liked this. You didn’t want it to stop. Instead of responding you decided to try something. Slowly but carefully, you lift your knee and press it between his legs, rubbing it back and forth slightly. Mammon moaned. Hard. So devilishly sweet.
“Oh, you want to play like that huh?” Mammon flew off of you and started digging through his dresser drawer. Did he not like it? You worried that you upset him and went too far. That is, until he turned around and you saw the rope and cuffs.
Before you even had a second to think you were being tied up to the demon’s bed frame. You pull at the restraints with no luck at getting out.
“Too tight?”
“They’re fine but…”
The demon raised a brow. He gently grabbed your chin and slowly lifted your face until you were forced to look at him. “What is it darling? Use your words.”
Damn demon. You didn’t want to admit how badly you wanted him but you conceded. “I want to touch you. Make you feel good.”
He chuckled, low and rumbly. It made you squirm. “You came to me. I make the rules. You’re lucky I didn’t use my gag.”
“Well there’s already one flaw in your plan, genius. You forgot to take my clothes off before tying me up.”
“Oh, that won’t be a problem sweetheart.” Suddenly he uses his strength to rip your clothes off. It was so easy for him. Like taking a tissue out of the box.
“So wet for me already and we’ve barely even started.”
He was staring at your figure, eyes full of lust. They were hungry eyes, intimidating. You couldn’t help but shift under him, suddenly feeling self conscious. Before you had too much more time to think about it, Mammon dove in and kissed you hard. You didn’t reciprocate at first, taking a moment to register what was happening, but quickly enough you came to your senses and kissed back. Mammon place one hand on the back of your head, slightly pulling at your hair, his other hand at your breast, lightly teasing your nipple.
He started moving his lips lower. Down your neck biting and sucking hard, almost like he was trying to leave the most obvious marks he could so everyone would know you belonged to him, even if just for this one time. He is the demon of greed after all.
You were a moaning mess. You wanted to touch him. Feel the closeness between you too. It was so FRUSTRATING. It didn’t take long for your moans to turn to impatient whines.
“What’s the matter, princess?”
“I- I want to feel you” you were a panting mess.
“Not yet, baby.”
“Can’t you at least strip too? I want to see you. All of you.”
He seemed to contemplate this for a moment, stroking his chin in the most dramatic way like the idiot he is. He was drawing this out. After a minute he got close to your face and whispered “I’ll see what I can do”
He straddled you and started taking his shirt off. You’ve seen him shirtless before but this time was different. You’ve never wanted to feel up to someone more than you did right now. You try to reach for him but don’t get very far due to the cuffs.
“You’re cute” He continues stripping, your eyes watching hungrily. As he takes off his underwear you can’t help but wonder how the fuck that thing is going to fit inside of you. But you didn’t care. You want him and you want him now.
“Fuck me please! I need it now!” You were practically begging at this point. You could see Mammon wanted to tease you some more but even he was getting to his breaking point. He lines up with your entrance and slowly starts pushing in.
“F-fuuuuucking hell!”
He stops half way through. “Need a sec?”
You nod, struggling a bit to get any words out. After a moment you tell him to continue. He eventually bottoms out inside of you and you have never felt so full in you life. You Loved it, but you needed more.
“Move please!”
“As you wish my princess.”
He starts thrusting and immediately hitting all the right spots. Mammon leaned down and started lapping and sucking one breast while teasing the other with his hand. Feeling the heat between your bodies and all of the sensations he was making you feel, it was pure bliss.
“Mammon faster! Break me!”
Without any hesitation he started going faster and harder, your hips meeting his as best they could considering the restraints. The bed was creaking like crazy. Any other day you’d be worried that this much noise would get you in trouble with Lucifer but you could deal with the consequences later. Mammon moved off your breast and up to your neck, creating more love bites. You were getting close and he could tell. Mammon reached down between you and started rubbing your clit in circles, turning you into a blubbering mess. You couldn’t even form words and more. The only sounds filling the room at this point was just the sound of skin and both of your grunts and moans.
Feeling himself getting closer to the edge, Mammon angled himself a bit differently and was hitting your g-spot perfectly. Only a few more thrusts and you were cumming hard. You went to grab Mammon as you came but were stopped by your cuffs so you were just squirming as you came.
You lay there, still bound by the handcuffs and ropes as Mammon kept pounding into you. You were so sensitive. It felt great. Each thrust into you had you whimpering. He just kept hitting your g-spot. After a minute, it was like you had gained a second wind and you could feel yourself getting close again. Mammon, realizing this, started thrusting even harder into you. You could swear the bed was going to break. Soon you both came, screaming each other's names. You were in such a trance after that you didn’t even know your own name. Mammon collapsed on top of you, panting like crazy. After catching his breath and regaining some strength, Mammon released you from your restraints. You immediately grabbed onto him like a koala to a tree. He chuckled and held you close.
After a few minutes of cuddling, you finally broke the silence. “You know, I just came in here to annoy you but if the thanks I get for barging in here, I think I need to do it more often”
The demon smirked “From here on out you can expect a lot more, princess.” You both cuddled up as close as you could to each other and eventually drifted off into the deepest most refreshing sleep you’ve ever had.

Would You Have Me?- Sirius Black.
Pairing: Sirius Black x fem!reader
Summary: Y/N is the only person in Sirius’ life he truly cares about, he wouldn’t mind if it was only them
Warnings: modern high school au!, written in third person (she/her pronouns) (1.6k words)
Author's note: this is a reupload, I wrote this a while ago!
Reblogs and comments are greatly appreciated<3
⟡ ⟡ ⟡ ⟡ ⟡ ⟡ ⟡ ⟡ ⟡ ⟡ ⟡ ⟡ ⟡ ⟡ ⟡ ⟡ ⟡ ⟡ ⟡ ⟡ ⟡ ⟡ ⟡ ⟡ ⟡
The final bell rang, it was Friday hundreds of students poured out of the school doors ready for the weekend. Y/N was among the swarm of kids, headed toward her bus. Thankful it was the weekend, this week had been a lot on her. Off in the distance, she could hear her name over the loud voices. Looking around shielding her eyes from the sun, she could see a tall boy headed her way.
It was Sirius
"There you are," he said when he reached her, throwing his arm around her shoulder "Where are you off to?" he asked
"My bus" she pointed to the big yellow vehicle
"C'mon, I'll take you home" he offered
"Really?" she asked
"Yeah, you can tell me all about your day"
They walked to the student parking lot, Sirius drove a black '89 Dodge charger. It was a little squeaky, but he loves that car.
He opens the passenger door for Y/N, closing it once she was in. Sirius Drove the long way to her house so they could talk longer.
"How was your day, dear?" he asks pulling out of the campus
"It was fine, I'm glad the week is over. Everything has been a lot lately"
It was their junior year, everyone is starting to worry about their futures. Their career, college, exams, everything stressful.
"I know what you mean, it feels like we have to know everything about the future before it happens" he replies
They continue their conversation all the way to Y/N's house. They've always been able to tell each other everything without feeling judged. Nowadays, it feels like you have to make sure everything is perfect because the whole world is watching, waiting for you to fall.
He was her safe place, and she was his.
Sirius pulls up in front of her house, parking the car.
"Thanks for the ride, Sirius" she says opening the car door
"Of course, love. Hey, do you wanna hang out tomorrow?" he asks
"Yeah, sure I'll ask my parents. I'll text you" she answers
"Great, I'll see you soon then" He smiles
"Bye" she says closing the door.
He waits for her to go inside before driving off like he does every time. He sees her almost every day, but he still gets excited when they hang out. It's like a new experience every time, even when they've done it one hundred times before.
-
When he got home, he waited anxiously for her text. Her parents have never said no before, but it still made him a little nervous. He's made sure over the years that her parents liked him, he didn't want them to think he was just some guy who was only hanging out with their daughter to get in her pants.
He started his homework that probably won't get finished till Monday morning, checking his phone every few minutes.
Finally, after what felt like an hour, she texted him
parents said it's cool What did you have in mind?
 Movie? Wonka is still showing. Stay at my place after?
Timothee Chalamet? HELL YEAH! Definitely down for a sleepover
 Great! I'll pick u up at 4
See you then! <3
He was happy that she could come, he liked being able to get out of the house and escape with her. Everyone has family issues, his family was distant from each other. It was almost like they were roommates, not a family. His parents didn't care if he was gone or if he had someone over.
His brother stayed in his room most of the day when he got home from school. Their bond was limited to short interactions in the dining room on special occasions.
Y/N was his real family, she was always there for him whenever he needed her. At school, many people claimed to be his friend, they'd say hey in the hallway or talk about some game that happened the night before. None of them would actually have a real meaningful conversation with him.
He didn't get why he was so popular, he was sociable and easy on the eyes sure, but nobody knew the real him. It seemed like they had all made a false version of him in their heads. A mysterious ladies' man who could have anyone he wanted.
That wasn't true at all, he wasn't a mystery at all. He was very open once you got to know him, only Y/N had ever made the effort to do so. The whole 'ladies' man' thing was really funny to him. He'd never had a serious girlfriend, a few dates here and there but nothing real.
Many of those girls thought that him and Y/N had a thing going on so they would stop talking to him completely. At first he didn't know why they would think that, he thought their friendship seemed very platonic. Then he realized some of the things they would do seemed a little too friendly.
That didn't stop him. If he was honest, he didn't care about those girls at school. If there was only one girl in the world and he had to pick her. It would be Y/N. Always Y/N.
-
Saturday came around, Sirius waited all day for 4 o'clock. He didn't like to be late, he pulled up in front of her house a few minutes early so he could greet her parents.
Turning off his car, walking up to the front door. He rings the doorbell that has a little camera on it. A few seconds later, her mother opens the door
"Sirius, how are you, dear?" she asks bringing him in for a hug
'I'm great, Mrs. L/N. How's everything?"
"Everything's fine, Y/N should be ready by now." she told the boy "Y/N, Sirius is here!" she yelled up the stairs
She came down the stairs, a small bag in her hand.
"Sorry, had to make sure I had everything, are you ready?" she asks Sirius
"Yeah, I'll see you later, Mrs. L/N"
He and Y/N get in his car, driving to the local movie theater.
That movie was almost 3 hours long, but that's okay. They didn't mind sitting in a dark room together in silence. It was much later, the sun was starting to set when they headed towards Sirius' house.
His parent's car wasn't in the driveway thankfully, awkward hellos are never fun. They realize they're starving and order take out.
Once it finally arrives, he takes her up to his room. Passing by Regulus' room, she could hear gunfire from some video game.
"Don't mind him, it's like he's married to the game. Hardly comes out the room" Sirius explains opening his bedroom door.
It was relatively clean, only because he knew she was coming over. His walls were lined with movie posters from the 80s and now, some of his favorite vinyls, and photo booth pictures of him and Y/N from various locations.
He made sure his space represented him. The real him.
They spend the next couple of hours eating and watching random videos on youtube until they got bored of it. Putting on Evermore on as background music as they talked.
Both of them are sitting on the floor, Sirius leaning against the wall, Y/N against his bed
They jumped from topic to topic as the night progressed, getting into the more personal topics. A few weeks ago, Y/N started talking to a boy named Kevin. She seemed to have liked him until she stopped talking about him.
Sirius had been curious about that for a while, he thought it was a good time to ask
"Whatever happened to that Kevin guy? I thought you two were getting serious" he asks
"Oh him? That's long gone" she shrugged, "He said he just didn't feel anything for me" she explained, she didn't show it but she was a little hurt by the boy's words.
"Oh my god, he sucks. Anyone would be more than lucky to have you" He was mad that anyone would treat her like this. "Fuck that guy"
"It's alright, I didn't need him in my life" she wanted to get the topic off her "What about you? Anyone new in your life?"
"Nah" he smiles "I don't want anyone new, honestly"
"What do you mean?" she asks
"I'm happy just having you in my life, sometimes I wish it could always just be you and me" he says in a low voice
"That would be great, honestly. Just us against the world" she agrees
"Y/N?" his voice barely above a whisper, fidgeting with a ring on his hand
"Yeah?"
He swallowed before replying, "I think I'm in love with you"
"What?" she laughed nervously, he got up and sat next to her
"When I think of my future, having a family and owning a house, you're there right next to me. I've tried to convince myself that it's only because there isn't anyone else in my life" He pauses searching her face for any sort of bad emotion "I know now, it's because I don't want anyone else in my life but you"
Y/N's brain was all over the place, trying to figure out what to say. Sirius has been her rock for so long, she had a small crush on him. She didn't think he would ever reciprocate it
"I don't know what to say" she admits
"That's alright, you don't have to say anything. If you're willing, maybe we could see if this goes anywhere?"
She reaches down grabbing his hand, lacing her fingers with his. "I think we can make it work" she smiles "After all, we're still getting married at 30 right?" she laughed
"Right Right. A pact is a pact, dear" he smiles
She gives him a small kiss on the cheek, slowly pulling away. Their faces were dangerously close together, warm breath fanning against their skin. Y/N closes the distance. Their lips perfectly fitting each other, just like they were made for each other.
Sirius pulled away, not wanting things to get carried away. Y/N rest her head on his shoulder
"So, what color should our invitations be?"

“Baby? Do you have some paper for me?”
With an annoyed eye roll you ripped a page from your new notebook, smoothing over the edges of the torn binder. You pushed the single page over towards him with reluctance.
“You forgot your notebook on the first day already?”
And to think notebooks and pens were the main reason you had gone to the store yesterday.
“Don’t blame me. You know I’m not a morning person. And you didn’t want to wake me up with sex, so...” The smugness in his voice made you wonder if he actually thought he had won this discussion. You raised your eyebrows at him, hinting at the thinness the metaphorical ice on which he was walking.
You usually didn’t get annoyed that easy. If you had, your relationship sure as hell wouldn’t have lasted this long. The reason: Jisung and his lack of understanding social cues. To take the hint and not bother you any further when you were already frustrated, all it took was a look.
Although he wasn’t the reason for your irritation today. Or at least not the sole one.
It was the first day of university, so naturally, you were a little on edge. Whatever happened from this day on would decide over the paths your life took in the future. It was a step you had waited so long to take but dreaded all the same. Jisung, as your loving boyfriend, should have known how much this meant to you.
Sometimes, you speculated if he did it on purpose. Rile you up when you were anxious to give you something to put your focus on instead. His intentions might have been sweet, but this wasn’t taking any tension off your shoulders. Jisung forgetting his notebook and blaming you for it, even as a joke, could have likely been the last straw.
“Baby?” As you looked back at him, you noticed his cute pout. It was almost cute enough to make you forget what you had been so annoyed about a minute earlier. “Do you also have a spare pen? And some highlighters would be nice, too.”
Shaking your head at Jisung, you let out a snort. So he hadn’t forgotten just his notebook, but his pen and highlighter too? Got it. Very unwillingly, you handed him the items. You thankfully always had a spear set in case of emergency. Or, in this case, your boyfriend’s scatterbrain you had been dealing with for many years already.
“You have got to be kidding me.” He blew you a playful kiss, thanking you for your service. “Don’t let this become a habit. I’m not piggybacking you through university as I did in High School. Understood?”
As much as you loved him, Jisung had his fair share of annoyances. Like his living-in-the-moment type of attitude. A contrast to your thoroughly organised persona, you usually appreciated your differences. Without his Yin, your Yang wouldn’t shine as bright and vice versa.
That still didn’t change that you wouldn’t be his personal secretary this time around.
Jisung was old enough to care for himself and not rely on his girlfriend for every one of his needs. Whether it was some paper and pens, your skillfully crafted cue cards, or an all-nighter before one of his final exams. How ever you had talked him into studying for that one anyways.
“I love you, too.”
If he only weren’t so damn cute.
Out of pure principle you ignored his comment with an unintentional snicker. You continued your draft outline on your first notebook page—your attempt of getting a head start on future lecture notes—thus almost missing the voice chatting up Jisung.
“I’m taking you won’t be sleeping in the dorm a lot, will you?”
The depth of the second voice made you look up from your notebook. As the light shone into the room from behind the boy, it almost blinded you. Once your eyes got used to the brightness, you could finally make out a lean figure. He set a reusable coffee cup on the desk next to Jisung before sliding onto the wooden chair.
The boy was clad in comfortable attire, loose hanging jeans paired with a simple t-shirt. His long, blonde hair messily framed his face, a green beanie rounding off his skater-boy look. Something told you he had more to himself than what his cover showed. The several silver rings on his fingers could have been the reason for your suspicion. Or it was how he carried himself—a perfect line leading from his soles to the tip of his head. In exact contradiction to your boyfriend’s slouching posture.
“Morning to you too, sunshine.” The smirk in Jisung’s tone indicated his playfulness and a sense of closeness. “Why do you care? You’re not in love with me, are you?”
“No,” the boy scoffed, his bag placed neatly under the table. “I just wondered if I can stop waiting up for you or if I will have to identify your corpse at some point.”
Looking past Jisung, the boy noticed your presence, sending you a heart-warming smile. The freckles all over his nose and cheeks juxtaposed the darkness of his voice and over-all looks. Something about his aura relaxed you, his company drenching his atmosphere in happiness.
“Hi, I’m Felix!”
“I’m Y/N. I’m Jisung’s-”
“Girlfriend. Yeah, I know. He talks about you a lot.”
Jisung leaned in closer to you, though he kept his voice at the same volume, “Be careful, baby. He’s very much in love with me already. I might leave you for him.”
“You can have him.” You leaned past your boyfriend, directly addressing Felix. “But make sure to always have a spare pen and paper. And also a spare pair of pants.” The scene from earlier this morning came back to mind, a teasing look creeping onto your face. “He might say he can care for himself, but he will wear your leggings and pink baby-girl crop top when there’s no alternative.”
“Good to know,” Felix replied with a deep chuckle, amused by the picture you had painted. He ran his hands through his blonde hair, showing off his ears and all the piercings. Okay, so, definitely not a skater-boy-type.
“You might be joking now.” Jisung threw a know-all look in your direction. “But you won’t be laughing when I wear your fishnets to your grandpa’s next birthday.”
“Don’t you dare put on my fishnets! They were expensive.”
“That’s alright. We’re about the same size, so he can wear mine.” Felix’s words came unexpected and not even Jisung couldn’t conceal his amusement.
“Great, there’s two of you now. Is it too late to drop out?”
In all the years you had known him, Jisung rarely ever made friends this easy. Not even a week on campus, and he had gotten close enough to Felix to joke in his usual manner. How they had even gotten this close when Jisung had spent most of the day at your place was a mystery to you. Still, the little time they had spent together was enough to have discovered a mutual hobby—catching Pokémon. As they argued over who had found the rarest creature, you picked up your previous task. Though that didn’t stop your joy in finding that Jisung had made a friend. And a nice one at that.
You felt guilty for even thinking it, but Jisung had never been particularly good at making friends. Not before meeting you and not afterwards either.
Most of all, you blamed the lack of a ‘do not say’-filter in his conversational skills. His openness posed an obstacle to making new acquaintances—or at least it had many times before. After years of getting side-eyed or complained about, he had stopped talking to new people all together. Like he already expected the sole attempt to make connection to backfire. The few relationships he had formed despite his shyness had been pure luck. And your very own relationship only existed due to your perseverance.
That Jisung had already befriended Felix, at least as much as possible in three days, put you in a bright mood. One of your biggest fears about moving was your boyfriend rooming with someone he didn’t get along with. With someone as talkative and easily compatible as Felix, Jisung would likely not be clinging to you as much. Which wouldn’t have been the worst scenario, but still.
With every passing minute the lecture hall filled more. When something sharp scratched your shin, your head finally snapped towards one of the new-comers. A blonde girl had sat down next to you, and you found the culprit when you noticed her pink heels.
“Oh my God. Did I hit you? I’m so sorry.” Her hand came to her mouth in shock as she apologised a couple of times. You rubbed over the sensitive skin which was already bruising from when you had hit that crate of boxes yesterday. Talk about unfortunate accidents. You pushed the urge to groan at the pain down, forcing a smile onto your face instead. “It’s those dang heels. I knew I should have worn the sneakers today.”
“It’s fine. Surprised me, that’s all.” Embarrassment reached over her cheeks to her ears, a frown painting her face. “No worries.”
For a few seconds she hesitated but finally accepted your willingness to let it go. Out of the corner of your eye, you followed her as she unloaded the contents of her purse. She pulled out a torn notepad and a vintage-leather pencil case, which must have seen better days. She reached back into her designer bag, face distraught as her search came up empty.
She tried grabbing the attention of two boys on her right side, tied deep into their conversation. When she eventually realised she had no other option, her gaze tiptoed towards you. “Sorry to bother you again.” Teeth nibbling at her lip, she forced herself to get over her embarrassing mistake seconds earlier. “Do you have a pen I can borrow?”
Even if your shin had hurt worse, you would have still helped her out. With a genuine smile, you nodded, searching your pencil case and then your bag.
“I wanted to grab one before leaving my room, but I noticed a stain on my shirt and needed to change it. So, I forgot about the pen,” the girl recounted her morning ventures. “I’m so sorry for bothering you.”
“You’re not bothering me,” you assured her. Your smile turned to an apologetic scowl once you realised you couldn’t help her out after all. “I’m sorry. I always carry at least one extra pen, but scatterbrain next to me left his head in bed this morning.”
“You talking ‘bout me?”
Jisung, who you hadn’t expected to react to the mention of his unflattering nickname, turned to you.
“Hey, Felix,” you called the boy two seats from yours, ignoring your boyfriend. “Do you happen to have a spare pen?”
“Sure. I always carry an extra one in case.”
“Interesting. So, some people do use their heads before leaving the house.” It was a reproachful remark addressed to Jisung and his forgetfulness, and he caught the meaning.
“Some people do use their heads before leaving the house,” he scrunched his nose, teasing you by mimicking your voice and repeating your previous words as you snickered. Your perfect boyfriend, everyone.
Felix handed the pen from his jacket past you, the girl accepting it with a thankful smile.
“You’re a lifesaver.”
“I usually go by Felix. But lifesaver is good, too.”
The girl giggled, before introducing herself, “I’m Yuqi. I live in the student housing off campus. You know, the ones next to that coffee shop with the green doors. It’s open 24/7. Genius marketing move, right?” Biting her lip after that info dump, you noticed her nose doing a little scrunch. “Sorry. I talk a lot.”
“I haven’t noticed,” Jisung joked, your elbow gracing his rib at his sarcasm. You wondered if there would ever come a day you didn’t have to act as his personalised filter.
“Don’t listen to the idiot next to me,” you declared, “I find it charming.”
“Me, too,” Felix agreed, and Yuqi relaxed. It told you that she usually didn’t get that reaction when spraying words like a waterfall.
“I live in the same building.”
Excitement took over her features. “What? No way! Which room?”
“B4.”
Yuqi shrieked, her hand touching your arm, “I’m B12! That makes us floormates.”
“I guess it does.” Yuqi was the first person you met who lived in the same building that wasn’t your roommate or her girlfriend. “I’m Y/N. And this,” you thumbed back at your boyfriend, “this is Jisung.”
“Hi,” he greeted her with an awkward wave.
“Nice to meet you all.”
With that, Yuqi picked up her purse, pulling out an old folder. Well, it appeared to be rather new, but the edges were already torn, some of the plastic cover coming off the corners. The latter especially gave you an ick, and you forcefully pushed down the urge to smooth over them. You could handle some chaos, even if this was a lot.
Good thing, Yuqi spoke up again, giving something different to concentrate on.
“What’s your major?”
“I’m doing Business Admin.” Before you could return the question, Yuqi already reacted, hand touching your biceps in excitement.
“No freakin’ way! I’m in Marketing.” The delight in her voice was addictive as you couldn’t help a grin pulling on your lips. “See, I even wore the perfect outfit for our first lecture later today.”
Yuqi leaned back, giving you a better look at her clothing.
She was in a pair of white jeans, a rosé-coloured blouse adorning the upper half of her lean figure. A single, thin gold necklace decorated her neckline, fitting the two golden earrings. The one thing that stood out in that well-rounded outfit was her other earrings. About a dozen of them decorated both ears from the dainty top to the slim bottom. To round the fit off, she wore a pair of light-pink high heels. The very same that had already made acquaintance with your shin.
“Pretty, right?”
“Very girlboss,” you agreed in earnest. Your own clothes contrasted her colourful optics, made up of mostly black items.
“I’m so glad I’m not the only girl in the classes.” There was a hint of playful disgust in her statement, making you chuckle. “All the other people I met who are in Business were boys. Not that boys are bad or anything. I love boys. But they can be—a lot.”
“I get it. I lived with three boys back home. Well, technically, my dad is a man,” you air-quoted, “but where’s the difference, right?” Yuqi chuckled. “It’s nice to have a girl around every once in a while.”
Yuqi reached for her coffee cup as her gaze wandered to the grey haired middle-aged man who entered the room. He walked up to the desk at the end of the hall, his briefcase landing on the table with a loud thud.
With that, you straightened up, pen in hand and ready to take notes the second your prof opened his mouth.

I wouldn’t want to intrude—Y/N 05:29 PM: I told you I’d be taking you out one of these days—Hwasa 05:30 PM: Texting you the address right now!—Hwasa
Stepping through the dark wooden doors, a wall of warmth hit you like a thick blanket.
It had gotten colder the past few days, fall beginning to hit the city. You took off your scarf, looking around the place in search of the familiar, pretty face.
This place seemed to be the city’s hotspot, every table packed to full capacity. Red velveteen clad the round tables right by the entrance, the seating options becoming wider once you reached the back. Couches fanned out in random patterns all over the dark oak floor. The furniture’s vintage finish further accented the brown parquet.
You felt like you had stepped straight into a movie scene.
The wave of a dainty hand over the crowd’s heads caught your attention as you spotted your roommate in the back. You grabbed Yuqi by the hem of her sleeve, dragging her behind you as you made your way to the group of girls with a smile.
“Hello,” you greeted the table once you had gotten close enough for them to see you.
Hwasa hugged you in bliss, almost tipping over the drink in front of her, “Hi! I’m so glad you could make it.” As she noticed Yuqi, she pulled her in for another warm embrace, “Nice to meet you! I’m Hwasa.”
“Yuqi,” your friend replied, joy written on her face at the enthusiastic welcome.
Knowing Hwasa and her usual calm persona, you knew she must have already taken full advantage of Happy Hour.
“Nice to meet you.” You introduced yourself to the two unfamiliar faces, sending Wheein a quick nod as she met it with a smile.
The two girls with your roommate and her girlfriend couldn’t have been much older than them. The first had straight black hair reaching the bottom of her back, at least from what you could tell. The other sported a short grey bob. It highlighted her sharp jaw in what you could only describe as a tomboy-ish look. Like Wheein and Hwasa, they were beautiful and made you somewhat self-conscious. You shouldn’t have come here unprepared, or put on mascara, at least.
First to introduce herself was the black-haired girl, her smile almost blinding you. “Hi, I’m Solar.”
An extraordinary name for an extraordinary beautiful person. Fitting. In your mind, there was no doubt she made people of any gender fall in love with her the moment she stepped into a room. Her calm, almost carefree aura was truly something else.
“And I’m Byul.” She was just as pretty, though in a less traditional sense. A boyish charm surrounded her, though her blazer hinted at a seriousness to her person. She looked—important.
You introduced yourself and Yuqi, pulling out the two remaining chairs. They must have fought off several people to reserve these. “Are you students, too?”
“We used to be,” Solar explained as she emptied her tulip-coloured drink.
The girls seemed to have stocked up on various drinks; more glasses than people were at the table. If the drinks were half as good as they looked, you’d be in for a long night.
“We graduated last year,” the black-haired beauty continued, bumping shoulders with Hwasa. “I used to be Hwasa’s roommate, actually.”
“I didn’t even notice!” Hwasa giggled, thus proving your assumption about the amount of alcohol consumed before your arrival. “She’s my ex, and you’re my next.”
You chuckled in amusement, reaching for the menu at the edge of the table. The faux leather was soft beneath your fingertips as you skimmed over the Happy Hour options. When your eyes landed on your favourite drink, a smile spread on your lips as you handed the menu over to Yuqi.
“They have Long Island Ice Tea in three different flavours?” Yuqi exclaimed, the scenic buzz of this place rubbing off on her. Not that she wasn’t this emotional about almost anything. “Would it be very immature to try them all tonight?”
“Not at all. I am browsing through the new offers myself. We can get drunk together.”
Not a fair fight. Hwasa had already gotten a head start.
You called over the waiter by raising your hand, and he headed for your table not a minute later. He raised an unintentional eyebrow at the consumption level—One Mojito, three Long Island Ice Teas and another Piña Colada and Gin Tonic. Even so, the boy sent you a smile, spinning around and wandering back to the bar.
Once he was gone, Hwasa swiftly emptied her previous drink. All it took was one strong sip through her straw, and the Tonic and ice was gone. The coldness reached her brain soon after, prompting her eyes to grow wider—like those of a comic-book figure.
“Babe, you should slow down,” Wheein suggested with a chuckle. But her girlfriend waved her off.
“I’m fine. Also, I don’t have any courses tomorrow, so I have the whole day to sleep off that hangover I’ll be having.”
“Great. I’ll remind you when you’re hugging the toilet seat later.”
“I’ll be fine, I promise.”
“Mhm.” Wheein didn’t seem uber-convinced Hwasa would keep her promise but let it go anyways.
As the girls went back to their previous conversation, you tried your best to follow them.
You understood that Solar was passed over for a big promotion at her job and that she was convinced, her boss was sleeping with her opponent.
“What do you do for work?” Yuqi’s question took the words right out of your mouth.
“I am an assistant buyer at a small fashion label,” Solar explained, making you look at Hwasa in surprise.
“Don’t you also study fashion?” Taking a sip from her already empty glass, she nodded in silence. You frowned when you noticed her uncomfortable look at Wheein following your words. There must have been some form of backstory, and the last thing you wanted was to make things awkward. Instead you attempted correcting your mistake. “I’m sorry. Did I say something wrong?”
Passing a few glances around the table, Byul finally spoke up. “Our cutie Hwasa here used to study Chemistry full-time. She developed a small crush on Solar in her second year, so, she changed majors to spend more time with her.”
It took a moment to dawn on you why Wheein and Hwasa had reacted the way they did.
“Yes, but I hadn’t met my love then.” Hwasa bobbed her girlfriend’s nose, pouting to cheer her up. After a few seconds, Wheein couldn’t stop her frown from turning into a giggle. They were just the cutest.
“You’re a little drunk, aren’t you?”
“Drunk of love!”
“I stand corrected. You’re absolutely hammered.”
Playfully nudging her girlfriend, Wheein relaxed, emptying her own drink. Non-alcoholic, from what you had gathered.
“Anyways, since Solar is into boys only—”
“Men,” Solar interrupted her friend with a sigh. “I stopped dating boys a long time ago. They never know where to put things.”
“Sorry, since Solar is into men only,” Byul corrected, her eyes meeting yours again, “that didn’t work out. Now Hwasa is stuck with fashion. She met Wheein not too long after.”
“That’s right!”
The enthusiasm in her reaction made Hwasa finally tip over her glass. The melted ice cubes went all over the table, the cool liquid running down the sides. Some of it landed on your jeans, so while Hwasa apologised profusely, you called over the waiter a second time in five minutes.
A moment later, the young man rushed over with your drinks, handing you a towel to dry yourself. It didn’t go by you that his gaze focused on you for a few extra beats, but you ignored it. Your returned the now moist towel with kindness and he left with a light blush.
“Don’t tell me you didn’t notice that.” Solar’s caught your attention by the touch of her hand as she nodded towards the waiter.
“Notice what?”
“That the waiter was flirting with you,” she explained, looking around the table. “You noticed too, didn’t you?”
Byul agreed, “Sure did.”
“You’re not one of those girls who are, like, super slow on cues, right?” You chuckled at her question, shaking your head.
“No, I noticed, too.”
The confusion on the beauty’s face made you chuckle a little. “So what, then? He’s cute. Get his number.”
“Nah, I’m good.” You waived her off, taking a sip from your fresh drink. The rum burned down your throat, the lime juice and sugar adding a bittersweet taste to it. “Also, I don’t think my boyfriend would be particularly happy with me asking other men for their number.”
If everyone’s focus hadn’t been on you already, it sure was now.
“You have a boyfriend?”
“Very much so, yes.”
Solar seemed surprised by the information.
“Is it serious? I mean, you obviously shouldn’t cheat on him. But you are at university. If you don’t explore and get to know yourself now, when will you get another chance?”
You took another sip to ease the discomfort from being the center of attention. Not exactly where you usually were. “We’ve been together for five years. I’d say that’s pretty serious.” That did the trick, her mouth now agape in shock. She leaned in closer to you, cradling her chin in her palm.
“Five years? So, you’re High School Sweet Hearts?”
“Middle School, actually.”
“Is he any hot?” Yuqi interrupted, also leaning in further. How your relationship had become the talk of the whole table had gone right by you.
“What do you mean? You met him at orientation. He sat right next to me.”
“No way! That’s your boyfriend?” You hummed, agreeing. “But you called him dumbass like 5 times in one hour.”
“I did, but it’s more a term of endearment. I call Jisung dumbass; he calls me stupid. It’s a whole thing.”
As soon as you had cleared that up, Solar was back at it, hitting you with question after question.
“Wait, but like, for real. You’ve never been with anyone else since Middle School?”
You shook your head, correcting her statement. “I’ve never been with anyone else ever.”
Usually, you never talked about yourself and your relationship this much. You were rather private in that sense, though, you also understood their curiosity. It wasn’t every day that you met someone who had been with the same person since they were 14. You understood the length of your relationship was uncommon for someone your age.
“So, he’s your first boyfriend?”
“Yup.”
“So, you never kissed anyone else? Had sex with anyone else?” Byul further interrogated, now also fully invested in your love life. That you had only met the girls maybe 20 minutes ago seemed irrelevant. Not like you hadn’t seen that question coming sooner or later.
You agreed with a nod. “I never wanted anyone else.”
“How do you even maintain a relationship for that long?” Yuqi budded in again, her focus different from the older women’s. “My longest relationship lasted 4 months, and then I got tired of him.” For some reason, her statement made so much sense to you. Yuqi definitely needed constant excitement to fill her heart. “What’s your secret.”
You thought about it before answering shortly, “Shared trauma, maybe?” When no one laughed at your words, you backtracked. Your honesty might have been too much for them after all. “That was a joke. Obviously. We have a lot in common and went through similar stuff in life.”
It became quiet for a few seconds, though you sensed that Solar was holding back. Whatever she might have had dancing on the tip of her tongue, she took her sweet time wording it in her pretty head.
“Please, don’t take this the wrong way.” Always a great way to start a sentence. “If the shoe fits, tie that bitch up. But you’re in college now. This is your time to explore your interests—your options. No one comes out of college the way they go in. It’s a life-changing experience.”
“So, I should cheat on my boyfriend, is what you’re saying?” You started getting a little defensive now that your love life appeared to be under attack. All the attention got uncomfortable as much as you understood where it was coming from.
“That’s not what I was saying at all.” Some of the tension fell from your shoulders. “I’m saying people change. So, don’t be surprised if your boyfriend and you don’t work out.” Still not the direction you wanted this conversation to go. But Solar continued anyway. “Take Byul, for example.”
Solar leaned back, her hand coming to her friend’s shoulder.
“Byul started college, wanting to become a lawyer.” Byul nodded, agreeing. Her blazer somehow made more sense now. “She finished her degree and opened her own music production studio not two months later. And Hwasa—” With that, Solar went on to your roommate, who threw her a playful wink. “The first year of college, she cycled between so many partners, we were certain, she’d end up pregnant or with an STD. And look at her now.”
From how lovingly Hwasa was gazing at Wheein, there was no doubt in your mind that she had happily moved on from those days.
“And when Wheein started college,” Solar continued her list, “she was straight as a ruler. Do you see what I’m saying?”
“I do.”
And it was the truth. You understood that most people used college to find their path in life. The women around you were the best example for it. All four of them had found their place in the world, who they wanted to be, through university. You didn’t doubt that whatever had happened to them was necessary for them to grow into the women they were today.
At the same time, you knew your life better than anyone else at this table. You remembered every little thing you had gone through together, with Jisung. You understood how his mind worked. What he struggled with and how to get him through it emotionally—you had witnessed most of it with your own eyes.
And there was nothing one-sided about it either. There was no doubt in your mind that the same went for Jisung. He knew you like the palm of his hand—and you wouldn’t have it any other way.
“I’m still very sure we are not gonna break up.”
“I hope you don’t.” Yuqi finally came to your rescue, cutting the tensive atmosphere. “He’s adorable.”
Thankfully, Solar accepted it as the end of story. She sat back as Yuqi diverted the conversation from you to Byul, asking her about her work at the studio. You calmed down as the centre of attention drew from you and towards the ins and outs of the music industry. When Hwasa playfully bumped her shoulder into yours, you looked up at her. A teasing wink showcased her support and affection. And probably her drunkenness.
“Sorry about her. Solar can be very straightforward, but she has a good soul. She’s a realist, and very openly so.”
“It’s alright,” you told her, taking your glass and a huge sip of your Mojito. “I know most relationships at our age don’t last. But we’re solid as a rock. It’d need a tsunami to separate us.”
You hoped the rest of the night would go a little less awkward than this. Though, as the alcohol ultimately entered your system, you soon forgot about the whole conversation.
Tumblr media
“I’m gonna be sick.”
A second later Hwasa bent over the nearest bush.
“What happened?”
“She got sick,” you explained the situation as you used your hair tie to fixate Hwasa’s long locks behind her neck. “You good?”
Hwasa wiped her mouth with the back of her hand and nodded as she stumbled towards the housing entrance. Wheein supported her other side, the two of you exchanging concerned looks.
“Is she gonna be alright?”
“I think so. It usually takes a glass of water and an aspirin, and she’ll be back to her old self.” You didn’t doubt Wheein knew how her girlfriend usually handled alcohol. “I’m gonna take her to my room to make sure. It’s closer to the bathroom, and I don’t have a roommate she could disturb.”
“You have a single room?” Yuqi questioned in surprise. Her enthusiasm after midnight was still higher than yours had been all evening. “Man, I should become dorm supervisor next year.”
“It has its perks.”
Yuqi took over once you had reached your room, holding up Hwasa so they could lead her to her girlfriend’s room.
“Good night. Call me if you need help,” you told Wheein, who nodded thankfully.
“I’ll see you tomorrow.” After Yuqi had bidden her goodbye, you turned to your door, entering the four-digit code to unlock it.
Once inside, you rid yourself of your shoes, turning the lights on as you set your bag down by your dresser.
A groan came from your bed, making you jump and stumble back against the wooden cupboard. Your blanket moved at the disturbance, a bulge the size of a grown person appearing underneath it. It took a mop of familiar brown hair to calm you as you realise that not an intruder had overtaken your bed.
“Dang it! Jisung, you creep! You almost gave me a heart attack.”
Noticing the tired haze in his eyes, you strolled over to him. You slid next to his torso as your hand reached for his chubby cheek, grazing his skin. It woke him up, your action met with a sigh and his head leaning comfortably against your palm.
Under the blanket, you noticed his shirt, which didn’t even begin to cover his bulging biceps. It took you a moment to recognise why it didn’t fit him like his other clothes usually did.
“Are you wearing my crop top again?” Amusement laced your tone.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” You almost didn’t understand him, his vague mumbling blurrier than typical. He must have been asleep for a while.
“What are you doing here? I thought you wanted to hang out with Felix tonight.” You took out your earrings, neatly placing them on the small nightstand by your bed. “What happened to bonding with your roomie?”
“We hung out for four hours,” he explained with a yawn. “Then I came over because I missed you.”
Running your hand down the side of his face, he grabbed it as soon as he could reach it. He brought it to his lips to give your skin a quick peck.
“Now, come to bed, so we can sleep.”
“I need to get changed and brush my teeth first.”
“I can help you get out of your clothes. And I don’t care if your breath stinks.”
“I care.” You got off your bed to rush through your evening routine so you could fall into your love’s arms already. Yet, your intentions were rudely interrupted. “What the heck!”
Before you could take a step, Jisung’s arm snapped out from beneath your blanket, pulling you back. You couldn’t react fast enough as he dragged you into a lying position next to him, still fully clothed.
“See? I don’t care.”
“What about the light?”
Lifting his head off your pillow, he grabbed the tissue box from your nightstand and tossed it at the light switch. You didn’t know when he had suddenly learned to aim, but it hit smack-bang in the middle, shutting off all the light in your room.
“I gotta admit, that was impressive.”
“Now, let’s get you out of those clothes.”
You giggled as he effortlessly opened the button and zipper of your pants and dragged them down your legs. He tossed them towards the end of the bed, to be dealt with tomorrow. Next was your top, which he swiftly brought over your head, throwing it to join the rest of your clothes.
“If you only cleaned as quick as you undress me.”
“Everybody has their own forté.” You snickered at his words, closing the gap between you. “I could also be way quicker than that. We haven’t had sex in a week. Right now, your clothes are my nemesis.”
The heat of his body caught you in a warm hug, “A week already, huh?”
“8 days and 7 hours, to be exact. But who’s counting?” His arm came around you, scooting you closer so your back pressed flat against his chest.
“You wanna reset that clock?”
“Nah,” he brushed your suggestion off. “I’m way too tired to have sex right now.”
“Tomorrow then?”
“About that.” His hot breath fanned over your neck. “I know it’s date night, but there’s this party I was invited to. I thought we could go to that instead.”
“A party?” It was the first week of university. How had your introverted boyfriend already been invited to a party? You should have probably seen the answer coming. “Whose?”
“I think you know.”
Of course, you knew. How could you not when his parties had been legendary even back in the day? Though, until now, you had suppressed his present at this campus all together. His being the one who shalln’t be named.
You thought about Jisung’s suggestion for a second.
Sure, a party would intervene with your bi-weekly date night. And, on top of that, it was organised by someone, you didn’t know how to approach after everything that had gone down. But this was university, after all. And, as Solar had said before: University is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. So, why the heck shouldn’t you go to a party?
“So? What do you say?”
“Fine.” Jisung’s previously unbothered expression turned into a smile as he grazed his lips to your neck. “Just... Don’t tell your sister we’re going. I’m not sure she would appreciate us hanging out with her ex.”
“Lying to my sister? Who are you, and what did you do to my girlfriend?” A yawn hit your ear, your face scrunching at the unwanted ASMR session. “I love you.”
“Love you, too.”
As Jisung slipped into a deep slumber, your mind raced through the events of your day. It usually did at the end of the day, your mind too tired to do anything productive but too awake to rest. The silence around you allowed you to remember an earlier text message you never got to answer.
Pulling your arm out of your boyfriend’s iron hold on your body, you reached for your phone on the nightstand.
Your dad had sent you a voice message about three hours earlier when you had still been at the bar. You pushed the play button and brought the phone to your ear to not disturb Jisung’s beauty sleep. By all means, he needed it. Or so he said.
“Hi, honey. It’s dad. I hope you had a lovely day and aren’t studying too hard already.” You smiled at his words, knowing it was one of his biggest hopes for you to get some time to yourself. “Remember what I told you when you left? Live a little!” A pause as he was seemingly picking up something from the ground. “I just wanted to ask when you were coming home Friday. I’m planning brunch with you two and Jia, so if you could be here by noon, that’d be great.”
Friday was the day after tomorrow. You hadn’t forgotten you’d be going back home for the weekend, but you sure hoped the party tomorrow wouldn’t keep you up all night. If you had to be home by noon, you’d have to leave campus by ten. And after a party, like you expected this one to be, you prayed you and a certain someone wouldn’t be too hungover.
“Anyways, sleep tight, and have a lovely night. We miss you!”
A second voice appeared in the background, not too far from your father’s, and your heart skipped a happy beat. The words were harder to make out as he was munching on an apple, cereal, or something else crunchy.
Still, there wouldn’t come a day you wouldn’t understand his babbling.
“Come home soon, please! Mhpf—I miss you, mommy.”
With a loving smile plastered on your face, you replied with a heart emoji. After such a perfect goodnight-messaged, you’d be sleeping like a stone tonight.

So, I believe Brennan went into the Last Stand exam with full expectations that the players were going to womp him in a pure combat scenario. There were almost certainly versions of this fight that turned out worse, but it's not an accident that they womped him, either. Gorgug got an absurd number of crits, but he was constantly rolling with advantage, which makes crits the most likely rolls on the dice. They had set up time, which let them load up their engines and get their shit running at full speed (it's why Adaine didn't take a hit until like...three hours into the fight, it seems like). He's played with them before; he might be surprised by individual moves, but I doubt he's ever surprised by their skill, you know?
The fight itself? That was never the real focus, aside from letting them all feel like true badasses who knew how to fight. It's almost a reward. The real focus here was the Rat Grinders and their machinations, and...well, above the table, I wonder what the scenario looks like where Kristen doesn't eat the eye. That's the closest he comes to getting truly surprised...but given the number of characters here who can get true sight equivalents (and how paranoid they all are about the Rat Grinders), I think he had to plan for the possibility for them to see her.
Either way: really great twist on the combat, puts everything in an interesting spot, and I also think that we're probably at a stage where...maybe the Rat Grinders are a bit on the run? They're so paranoid about making sure they've got everything covered that most attempts to dig the Rat Grinders out from under their rock could feel cheap
I'm ready to know more about the Rat Grinders' deal, anyways. They've been an important part of the story so far, but they're so peripheral to it that I'm ready to just...find out what the hell their deal is.

“I missed you.” Wanda said to Natasha after they broke the kiss, “You’ve been so busy these past few days, we don’t even get to go out anymore.”
“Yeah well, the company won’t run itself you know?” Natasha said as she sat back down and started to work on her computer once again, leaving Wanda standing beside her.
“You should take a break from work baby, you might overwork yourself.”
Natasha sighed deeply, they just made up this morning after fighting for what seems to be the third time this week but she really is busy, “I can’t, I still have a lot of things to do.”
“I know that you’re busy, you always are, but can we please just go out for lunch or something?” Wanda asked her wife.
“I’m really sorry Wanda, but I really can’t.” Natasha replied which made Wanda huff out in annoyance, “You know what, fine. I’ve always been your second priority after all.” Wanda lastly said as she walked out of Natasha’s office and slammed the door shut. Natasha groaned and pinched the bridge of her nose trying to keep her composure.
You were working on your desk when you suddenly saw your boss’ wife walking very quickly out of the room with a look that seemed to be like she’s angry but she was also about to cry. You sighed, realizing that they probably fought again, it wasn’t new to you though, almost everytime when Wanda would visit they would end up fighting.
Your phone suddenly rang making you snap out of your deep thoughts, you looked at the caller ID and saw that it was your cousin Meg who was calling, “Hey Y/N! Wanna go to the bar later?” Meg immediately said when you picked up the phone.
“Don’t you have final exams to study for?” You asked.
“Yeah but I just finished studying for all of them and I decided that I could go for a drink before taking my exams you know?”
You went silent for a few moments. You thought that you could use a drink or two, since it’s been a while since you last had one. You could also use a distraction from your attraction towards your married boss by flirting with other girls at the bar, “Alright, sure, I’d love to.” you replied which made Meg squeal in joy, “Great! I’ll see you later.” she said then she ended the call.
~~~
“Hey Meg!” you greeted as you saw your cousin rushing up to you and then hugging you.
“Hi Y/n, ready to get wasted?” Meg said as she wiggled her eyebrows at you.
“Hell yeah, but not so much, I have to go to work tomorrow since you won’t be able to.” You said.
Meg rolled her eyes and said, “You’re such a workaholic, can’t you at least have some fun tonight?”
You sighed in defeat, “Fine, just don’t get too wasted, I'm not going to drag your ass back to your apartment.” you replied then Meg smiled at you, “Alright, let’s go.”
A few moments later, you and Meg were hanging out by the bar since Meg thought that the bartender was kind of cute. The three of you continued to chat until you saw a familiar figure across the bar, red hair that was curled at the end (think of her hair in Civil War) plump lips, sharp yet somehow round jawline- oh no, it couldn’t be her right? You shook your head and looked at the same redhead who was now looking at you, you held eye contact for a good 5 seconds until you immediately looked away.
It was definitely her.
You would steal a few glances every now and then and when you do, your eyes would meet hers everytime, like her eyes never leave your body even just for a second. It made you feel uneasy since she is your boss and you’re seeing her outside of work, but at the same time, it turned you on.
“Do you know her?” her sister, Yelena asked as they were sitting at a soft chair while drinking some beer and champagne.
Natasha asked her sister out to have a drink with her because she just wanted to loosen up a little from all the stress that she was having from her work and her broken marriage but also the feelings that she has for you that are buried deep down within her.
Natasha drank from her glass, “W-what? Who?” she asked.
“That chick over there by the bar, you have been staring at her for a good few minutes.”
“N-no, I just thought she looked like someone I know.” Natasha lied to hopefully stop the topic at that.
“Shame, cause if you did I would ask you to introduce me to her.” Yelena said which made Natasha grip her wine glass a bit tighter, feeling her jealousy starting to rise.
Yelena cleared her throat after she finished her bottle of beer, “So, marriage problems again?” she asked and Natasha nodded in response then replied, “We have been fighting constantly these past few weeks.”
“About what?” Yelena asked again.
Natasha leaned back to her seat and sighed, “It’s just always been two things, it’s either we fight about how we don’t spend time together anymore or she accuses me of having an affair.”
Yelena hummed in response, “But do you?” she asked hesitantly.
Natasha raised a brow at her sister, “Do I what?”
“Have an affair.” Yelena simply replied.
Natasha scoffed, “Of course not, Lena. I’m loyal to my wife through the ups and downs of our relationship and I love her.” She hesitantly said the last part because of her growing feelings for you.
“Hey, care for a drink?” You suddenly heard a woman speak as you were busy scrolling through your phone. You made eye contact with the woman then looked at her from head to toe, she had brunette colored hair that was until her shoulders, brown eyes and a slender figure, she’s gorgeous but not as gorgeous as your boss- No, you shouldn’t be thinking of her right now, think of the woman in front of you. You shook your head trying to clear your thoughts of the redheaded woman.
“Sure.” you replied to her then the woman ordered two shots of vodka, she handed you a shot glass then you clinked your shot glasses together and drank it.
“I’m Maria by the way, just in case you might scream it later.” she said with a wink.
“Oh, I wouldn’t be so sure about that,” You flirted back, “The name’s Y/n by the way since it might be you who will be screaming later.” You said to her with a smirk on your face. You honestly don’t know where your boldness came from but it could be from the alcohol.
Maria started caressing your thigh and said, “How about we test that theory now? I live nearby.” her lips were now close to your ear, “You might want to take care of your friend first, I’ll wait for you outside.” she lastly said then started to walk out of the club.
Once Maria was out of sight, your eyes immediately searched for the redheaded woman but she was nowhere in sight, she must’ve headed home since there was work the next morning.
You faced Meg who looks a bit tipsy but not drunk she’s still busy flirting with the bartender so you nudged her arm making her look at you. “Hey, I gotta go, someone’s waiting for me.“ you said to her in a bit of a hurry.
“Okay then, I’ll be staying here for a while longer.” Meg replied
“I should call you a cab-” The bartender suddenly chimed in, “Don’t worry about her, I can drive her home.”
As much as you wanted to trust the guy, your trust issues kicked in, “Why should I trust you?” You ask him.
“You can trust me ma’am, in fact, I can give you my calling card if that’s what it takes for you to trust me.” The bartender replied then he handed you his calling card, “Sam Wilson, bodyguard and a part-time bartender.” you read out loud.
You eyed him head to toe, he does seem like a bodyguard because of his bodybuild and you just hope to God that he’s saying the truth, “Alright, Sam I trust you, not fully but you get the point. If something happens to my cousin you’re dead to me, got it?” you said to him threateningly.
“Yes ma’am,” Sam simply replied, then you nodded and walked out of the club.
“Took you long enough.” Maria said to you the moment she saw you step out of the club, she was lightly seated on a black motorcycle which is probably hers
“Sorry about that,” you said to her but then you felt eyes on you, it gave you chills but you ignored it.
Maria got onto her motorcycle then you followed suit, sitting behind her. Your arms were wrapped around her waist and speeded off.
Little did you know, a certain redhead saw the whole scene unfold in front of her. Even back at the club when the woman approached you and got all flirty with you, she hated seeing it, it made her jealousy boil. But what made her jealous even more was when she saw you leave with the same woman who approached you at the bar.
Natasha has to make her move sooner or later if she wants to claim you and she’s going to do whatever it takes for her to fully have you.
Karma Sutra | Sam Kiszka X Reader | Part 1
Tumblr media
Warnings: In this chapter-slut shaming, objectifying women, use of alcohol. This series will include 18+ content. Minors DNI.
Word Count: 2.2K
A/N: This series is one of the first that I put out. It has been left incomplete for quite a while. I felt that it needed some updating and reworking, but it is one of my favorite plot archs...so get ready. There will be fluff, smut, and a WHOLE lot of angst, so pull up your panties and get ready.
Summary: Chasing after the boy who is easily known as one of the sexiest and cockiest on campus...what could go wrong?
You felt eyes on you as you walked across the quad between classes. For what reason, you couldn’t place, but you knew that you were being watched. Peering across the quad, eyes flitting in all directions, you attempted to find the source of your insecurity. Nothing. You bundled yourself tighter within the thickness of your peacoat, shielding yourself from the blustery December cold. Making your way under an awning, you smelled the familiar odor of cigarette smoke. It wafted in your direction, beckoning for you to turn your gaze upward. Ugh. Of-fucking-course. Sam douche-bag-extraordinaire Kiszka. “Cold as fuck out here,” he said, puffing out O-rings of smoke from the side of his mouth.
“Mm, so you decide to step out in twenty-four degree weather to smoke a ciggy?” You spat sarcastically.
 “Bad habit, sweetheart. You know what they say…they die hard.” You couldn’t help but roll your eyes and kept walking away from him. “There’s a party on the row tonight–you coming?” your eyebrows furrow instantly, turning to meet his gaze.
“I haven’t been to a frat party in over a year, Sam. Why would I?” He threw his hands in the air, shrugging. His cigarette remained burning between two fingers, dropping ashes every few seconds to the ground. “Just thought it might be nice to see a refreshing face for once.”
What the fuck? Why was Sam taking sudden interest in me? “I gotta make it to class. See you around.” You waved him off and continued walking to class.
“Hey, Y/N, for old-time’s-sake, it really would be nice to see you there.” His eyes were the color of chocolate, which was ironic. His beauty could melt any girl on campus just like the confection–except for you. You would always be the exception.
“Bye, Samuel.”
Samuel. He liked that. He bit at the corner of his lip, his eyes following you as you disappeared within the halls. Mm, I’ll save her for later. Blowing out the last puff of smoke, he stubbed out his cigarette against the brick wall, dropping it carelessly to the ground before strolling away to the next entertaining encounter.
***
Philosophy class soon turned into Philo-so-fucking-boring class extremely fast. Your mind wandered from the lecture, unable to focus. Why the fuck was he watching me? The truth that you wouldn’t even admit to yourself was that you had feelings for Sam, and had since freshman year. They had remained in the recesses of your mind ever since. For one, he was an asshole. You and almost every girl on campus knew it; however, some part of you would always have a soft spot for him, no matter how cocky he was. He just didn’t know it, and you sure as hell wouldn’t show it either. Fuck that red turtleneck sweater. Why did he have to look so good in it? You caught yourself doodling random hearts and sparkles in the margins of your notes as you thought about him.
“Pssst, hey.” Your best friend, Paige jabbed you from behind with the top of her pen. “Pay attention, there’s going to be an exam tomorrow.” Your hands flew to cover your notebook from her view. “What are you hiding?” She whispered, curious as to why you were being so secretive.
“It’s nothing, just drawings.” You realized a little bit too late that mere drawings wouldn’t have elicited such a reaction.
 “Doesn’t seem like it’s just a few drawings.”
 “Ladies, would you like to share your conversation with the class? Is it more important than the material that will be on tomorrow’s exam? Would you like to take it today after class since you don’t seem invested in the review?” You fell silent and averted eye contact, heat creeping up your necks to your faces. The remainder of class passed excruciatingly slow. When three o’clock finally arrived, you filtered out of the classroom to meet up with Paige.
“So I was thinking…how would you feel about going to the Row tonight.” Meeting your expectations, she recoiled instantly.
“Uh, who are you and where is Y/N? You never go to parties.” You turn away from her and begin to walk down the hallway.
“I just thought it might be nice to do something different for a change.” Your cheeks were flaming again.
“You’re such a liar. Who is it?” You bit your lip.
“What do you mean?” you stalled. Paige stopped you mid-gait, grabbing at your arm.
“Who is it, Y/N?” You had no choice but to look at her.
“Ryan McClean.” Another Lie. It was a good replacement though. He was sweet, good looking and respectful. At least as much as could be expected for a frat boy. Paige stepped back with a hand on her hip.
“You’ve never mentioned him, let alone told me you have a crush on him.” You continued to walk, ushering her forward.
 “Well, it kinda happened fast. I don’t know–I was hoping to see him tonight. I wanted to look cute.” You saved face by putting on an extra air of confidence.
“Okay, okay I see you!” Paige grinned, snapping her fingers left and right as she walked.
“Unfortunately, I have a date with Mark tonight–so I won’t be able to go.” You nodded, secretly relieved that she wouldn’t have to see you lose what little humility you had left.
“Stay connected to the phone, don’t drink too much, play safe, get home safe,” she counted off on her fingers.
“Thank you, Mom. Would you like to dress me, too?” you asked, grinning. Paige rolled her eyes playfully.
“Actually, now that you ask, let’s go pick out an outfit that doesn’t scream…pilgrim lost in the twenty-first century.” You eyed her for a silent moment, challenging each other not to laugh, but you were the first one to lose, throwing your head back and cackling at her.
“You are such a bitch!” You said, elbowing her. “Let’s go." Paige wouldn’t let you go to that party without looking your best.
***
“Lacy Monroe.” “Total babe, 13/10. Would fuck her any day,” Wyatt Sellars interjected, a massive grin pasted on his face.
“Okay, how about Holly?” Matthew asked the question from the ping-pong table, tapping balls back to Wyatt. Christian Hearst entered the room next, a towel wrapped around his waist, applying deodorant to his armpits.
“Wilson? She’s a bit of a bitch, but I'd chase her for a little while until I got bored.” He chuckled, walking to the fridge for a beer.
“How about Y/N?” The room falls silent, save for the fast bounce of the forfeited ping pong ball that was previously in play. Samuel Francis Kiszka. He sits cross-legged on a lounge chair in the corner, knocking back the rest of his IPA.
“You mean the sexiest girl at school?” Wyatt offered. “Is she Mormon or something? She could have easily made her way through the entire football team by now.”
“Jesus, you dumb fuck, she’s not Mormon.” Christian came behind Wyatt, thumping him on the back of his head.
“Well-I didn’t know, I–”
“I think she’s stunning,” Sam says, leaning forward to place his elbows on his knees. His grin was obvious. His cunning expression cut through the room.
“Okay, asshole. What’s with the look?” Christian moved to the couch, taking a seat across from sam.
“I saw her today. Walking to class.” He licked his lips as he talked. Christian rubbed his hands together, prepared to hear about some salacious romp.
“And?”
Sam’s eyes grow wider. “Oh, n-nothing happened, I just saw her.” A chorus of disappointed scoffs filled the room.
 “You suck, man. You literally had us going, just for fucking nothing,” Wyatt whined.
“It’s not like anything would happen– I’m pretty sure she’s a virgin anyway,” Sam continued.
“Oh, so she’s the pick of the litter. Nice!” Matthew interjected. Sam looked at him with a minor look of disgust, shaking his head.
“So why are you being a pussy, Sam? I Bet–” Christian pointed his finger at Sam in a telling gesture. “I bet you…I bet you that she won’t let you take her virginity before the month is over.” Rising from his seat, Sam padded to the kitchen tossing his beer bottle across the room, where it clattered into the trash can.
“I bet you I can make it happen. Six hundred dollars and open supply of weed for one month–split evenly.” His grin emanated throughout the room.
“Aha, bet!” Matthew said, coming around Sam to slap him on the back in approval. “Paying up like a man.” Sam took a long gulp of his beer before retreating to his bedroom, shutting the door behind him.
***
Just as you finished your makeup, your hand slipped and your eyeliner streaked messily through the eyeshadow that you had just applied so effortlessly. “Fuck!” An exasperated sigh escaped your parted lips as you wiped at your eyelid to salvage the look. After several minutes, you emerged from the bathroom, fully dressed except for your top–you didn’t want to ruin it with makeup stains. Just as you pulled your head through the sparkly black crop top, your phone chimes. Paige.
Show Ryan what he’s missing, bitch! Shake that ass in my absence, too. Stay safe, I love you. Call me if you need me.
Right. Ryan. My little secret. You sent her a quick text wishing her well on her date. Pulling a pair of gold hoops through your ears, you got a notification that Carlos, your Uber driver, was waiting outside of your apartment. Grabbing a few last minute items, you made your way downstairs. Pulling up to campus, you noticed one thing first. It was loud. So loud in fact, that your head  was pounding by the time you made it to the Row. The identical houses were arranged in a perfect square with a patch of green lawn in the middle. Adirondack chairs littered the grass, loosely thrown around a glowing brick fire-pit. Girls looped themselves around boys, chattering aimlessly with beverages that sloppily poured over the sides of their cups and onto their laps and into the grass. They giggled and slurred–their heels dug into the earth, causing several unfortunate partygoers to trip and lurch, earning themselves yet another spilled drink or bitchy laughs from gaggles of jealous and judgemental girls.
You rolled your eyes, debating on going after all, but your feet were already moving underneath you, carrying you along the sidewalk that led to each house. Who were you to think that it was smart to come here alone, especially when it was the first party you had attended in God-knows-how long?
“Y/N!” Your eyes darted upward, trying to place the voice that was calling your name. You found him. Your eyes met his and you instantly felt like you were drowning. A vignette seemed to filter out the unnecessary material around you; the blaring music muted, the giggles and shouts subsided into soft static. He was impeccably dressed in navy silk. A tailored blazer skimmed his bare chest, provided as a mere accessory rather than a true piece of clothing. His bottoms hugged at his frame, falling just above a perfectly shined pair of leather loafers. His hands were casually tucked into his pockets as he looked directly at you–with that fucking smile.
He strode towards you, knocking you out of the trance. Your breath hitched, sending bolts of panic through your system as he approached. Oh shit, what do I do? You thought, averting eye contact as you made every attempt to not look as awkward and helpless as you really were.
“You’re not a hologram, right? If I remember correctly, you acted like you would rather be caught dead than come to the Row.” His feet landed in front of you as he arrived. You met his eyes, crossing your arms defensively.
“Well, I wanted to see what I was missing–by the looks of it, it just looks like it’ll lead to meaningless sex and a bitch of a hangover.” He readjusted in his spot, cocking an eyebrow upward. He likes your sass. He likes it a lot.
“Well, it is a party, Y/N, what better to do than get drunk and fuck, hmm?” You scoffed at him, stepping off to the side, making your way to the first house. You heard his shoes tapping the pavement as he walked. Good. You wanted him to follow you.
“What is your drink of choice?” He asked, trying to change the subject to something more playful. “I usually stick with tequila–the citrus notes are just–” You heard him kiss the tips of his fingers in a “chef’s kiss” gesture from behind you. You couldn’t help but grin, careful to maintain your guarded disposition.
“Got any Pappy?”  You asked, turning over your shoulder with a grin. “I’m an expensive lay.”
Sammy snorts. “Two thousand dollar bourbon? You know the fucking answer, sweetheart.” That earned him a smile. You turned to face him and were immediately tossed upside down at the sight of his dimples.
“Well, we do have some lovely white claw reserve that was bought at this very upscale store. Maybe you know it–Target?” You couldn’t help but chuckle at him.
“Shut up, Sam!” He smiled warmly, coming beside you, pulling an arm around your shoulder.
 “Let’s go find something worth drinking, hmm?” You hadn’t processed what was happening, but you didn’t want to, either. You let it happen, weighing risk versus reward.  You stepped forward into the party with him at your side, forgetting the lie you had told paige. So much for finding Ryan. Instead, you found Sam.
End of Part.
Hi! I hope you are doing well!! How about a blurb where Rafe's girlfriend is really stressed about exams and wants to give up but Rafe says she can't and he bribes her with sex? Maybe something new she's been wanting to try out? Thank you so much!!!! 💕💕💕
word count- 900+ WARNING- SMUT! Sorry for posting now <3
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Finals were coming in strong.. I mean 3 classes wants you to do a 5 page essay in a week?? You haven’t really had time for Rafe and friends more so yourself and you have been stressing yourself out. Rafe had let it be knowing how you get when people bother you when you are working but he’s had enough. Seeing his baby so stressed out made him stressed out and he needed to do something about it FAST!!
“Hey baby.” His soft voice relaxed the tension in your brain as you put your pencil down and looks towards him. “Hm?” You hum with tired eyes and smile. “How about you come and relax. Hm? Maybe run you a bath?” He tells me. Knowing him he’s gonna try to get me out from this bubble I’ve trapped myself in. “No it’s okay. I’m just… almost done. One more paper!” I say trying to convinced not only him but myself that I’m okay.
“Baby, you are tired. I can see that. Come over please” he tries again but I shake my head a blow him a kiss before getting straight back to work. I can feel him staring at me but I pay no attention to him, knowing that if I look I would fall for whatever trap he’s trying to put me in.
“Please” he whispers. I close my eyes at the way he said it. So soft and beautiful i almost fall for it. “I love you. But I really really need to get this done” I say before I get more distracted I leaned in the table and took my laptop out and finished half of it on there. After an hour I sigh.
“Rafe this is- so fucking exhausting. Can I just give up-” I try to say but he’s already up and walking to me. “Not an option. Baby come on you made me realize that you need to get this done. You have a dream and goals so to make that happen you have to work for it. I know how brutal that sounds but it’s true.” I smile up at him and agree.
“I just- been doing this for so so long I’m just tired of it. Tired of being this way.” I wipe a tear from my eye and he gets down on his knees. “How about you take a break now and let me work you and those muscles of yours, let you try something you’ve always wanted to Try. How’s that sound?”
You're Not Sure if he noticed how your eyes got big and he smiles widely. “Really?” My voice was small and he chuckles. “Hell yeah what you wanna try?” you and Rafe had sex many times but he has NEVER given you head. it's not because he doesn't want to.. he really does, like really really does but you wasn’t ready… now since he mentioned things you’ve always wanted to try in your both sex lives.
"Can you baby.. give me head?" you say in a small voice. his eyes almost came out. "my baby wants me to eat her out? you're so dirty" he groans and picks you up, laying you flat on our bed and kissing your stomach as lowers your shorts and panties. he smirks and opens your legs to see a wet mess between them. "look at you" he stares in awe like he’s never seen anything like this before. “You ready baby?” He asks looking up at you, leaning his chin on your thighs. You let out a breath and nod. “Words” he raises his brow and smirks. You moan out at that and mumble a “please” he kisses your pussy and you watch closely. “Rafe,” she says already out of breath. “Do your worst” his eyes grew darker and he licks a long swipe up your pussy, you let out a ruin moaned and he smirked. glad that he can finally taste you, he's been wanting to for so long! "Rafe baby, that feels so good."
He sucks her clit Into his mouth and moans which sends vibrations all over her body. making her hips thrust up. "daddy's got you" he says Calmly. you clench around his fingers and he laughs, making your cheeks turn red. "looks like someone has a daddy kink" he smirks. he's so cocky you love and hate it. he pulls back and looks into your eyes, his dark blue. "you trust me?" he asked softly, rubbing his hands up and down your thighs. "always" you say without hesitation. he nods and looks down at your wet pussy and licks his lips before spitting on it and kissing your clit softly before devouring you.
A choke-up moan escaped your mouth as you wrap your legs around his shoulders, he pulls you closer and smirks when he hears your moans, knowing that you are about to cum. "cum for me baby, I can feel it" and you did, you cum so hard you see white and your moans are so loud you're sure the whole block can hear you. "shit Rafe" he pulls away after cleaning you up and smirks. "how'd I do?" you roll your eyes and pulls your underwear up before crawling to him and sitting on his lap. "please do that to me every night for the rest of our lives Rafe Cameron" you say with a smirk. "hell yeah" he kisses your lips and you begin to grind on him. "my turn" you smirk.
"Could he make you feel as good as I could" - Al Haitham
So gender neutral reader, believe it or not I went the non nsfw route with it. Now, it does mention a toxic spouse the reader has, so be warned! Angst to fluff here
You were born and raised in Port Ormos, your parents being respectful businesspeople who ran a small shop. You didn't have the same passion, and they seemed to think it was a different kind of shop you wanted to work in. They introduced you to all of their friends, and none of them especially appealed to you work wise. All of the shops felt so... Boring to you. You wanted to study, and you knew you had to do it in private. Over time, you figured out the best ways to obtain books without family finding out, studying when everyone was asleep.
You had some friends who enjoyed working in a shop, none interested in academics. One of your friends in particular grew to have a crush on you, and when he asked you out, you decided to give it a shot. You were teenagers then, and you were just about ready to settle down.
...is what you brought people to believe. You couldn't just get rid of the study materials you had, you enjoyed the art of studying! It gave you something to look forward to. Your partner doesn't find out about this closet hobby you have until the both of you move in, and he finds you reading and writing notes from a textbook.
You two have arguments about it, and you only apologise after he threatens to tell your parents all about it.
One day, you receive a letter that invited you to apply for a short course. It detailed that, if successful, you could consider other areas to study. You take it without asking your partner, and somehow he doesn't find out about it.
It's only after he's there when you aren't, and a letter details an upcoming exam. He opens it, and he's absolutely fuming. You finally got home after a day of work, only to realise he had found you out.
"What is this?" He huffs, looking at you with angry eyes.
"Maybe it's the wrong house?" You reply, hoping he'd give you the benefit of the doubt.
"Nice try. It is addressed to you, and it's definitely the correct details." He continues, walking towards you. "Now, you better go to your tutor, teacher, whatever the hell they like to be called, and you tell them that you realised you're too stupid for this course."
That was the straw that broke the camel's back.
You yell back at him, giving him a piece of your mind, and he just takes it. You furrow your brows, following his line of sight only to realise a crowd of people heard your outburst.
"Listen, we can chalk this down to you being misled by the Akedemiya. You were convinced wrongly that it was right to do this, that going straight into work wasn't good enough. And that's okay." He pats your shoulder. "Now, say you're sorry."
You can't find the words, angered at the outburst. You want to begin shouting again, but those pitiful looks were enough. You see your family there as well, solemnly shaking their heads before walking away.
You didn't want to lose your family, but you didn't want to lose your chance at something different.
So, you pick up the textbooks you got from the library, beginning to walk towards the city to think of what to do.
A man seems to follow you, and you mentally prepare yourself to get scolded for stepping out of the norm. You turn around, knowing he was definitely following you after a while, and you look to him to hear his insults.
"I heard what happened there." The man starts, a deep voice almost soothing you. "If you are willing to accept my terms, I'm sure I could find a way for you to study without your partner finding out about it."
You stop yourself from nodding, asking him of the terms.
"You are to be an informant of sorts. Any interesting details regarding Akedemiya, you report to me." Easy enough, you could easily blend in and find out anything suspicious due to being thought of as an ex student. "Secondly, you are to study in a discrete location. The address is here." He hands you a card. You take note of it, realising it was a discrete place. "I would advise you change the address to this location as well. I will vouch for you." The man finishes.
You agree, smiling out of relief.
"Sorry, I forgot to ask you your name." You realise. The man tells you that you won't need to know his name, explaining that you would find out in due course.
--
Months later, and your partner seems rather pleased. You had adjusted rather well to the change, and he didn't suspect you had an ace up your sleeve. You finally think back on those arguments, and you realise this man never loved you. He loved the idea of you.
You have an argument with him as he starts talking about your silly past, and he breaks things off. Thankful you didn't have to do so, you decide to walk in a different direction from the address of your study. You knew he was looking for where you went off to, and you knew after a while he'd assume you were just salty that he was 'correct'.
Al Haitham waits at the address. He spots you, waving you in before closing the door.
"Are you no longer together?" He asks. You nod, not allowing a verbal response, and he continues. "Please don't tell me you intend on trying to make it work."
"He's the only person who's told me they liked me." You admit.
Al Haitham shakes his head, and he sits you down.
"You're staying here." He starts. "Do not return to his place, nor should you return to your parents."
"But where else can I go?" You pout, looking down at the desk.
"Did he ever make you feel loved?" The man asks, seeming to know the answer.
"...He didn't like me. He liked the idea of me." You reply.
"Did he ever make you feel happy?"
Now that he asked it, no. You realise you were only settling because, in your eyes, he was all you could have. He brought you to believe you couldn't do better than him.
"Then the man isn't worth the tears."
--
You manage to pass your first year of studies, and Al Haitham takes you to his place to cook for you. You expected a decent dish, nothing too much, but you're surprised to see he tried to make the dish look as appetising as possible.
In the months of knowing he, he saw the determination in your eyes to succeed. He found himself attracted to it, especially considering what you were up against. He tries his best to court you, only to get shot down when you would have that look in your eyes.
The man you were with ruined your self esteem, it appears. You were smart, but you couldn't see the lies that man told you.
"Could he make you feel as good as I could?" Al Haitham asks, you perking up at the question.
"I don't know... Maybe I need to give him-"
"That man had years to see you for who you were." Al Haitham stops you. "I have only known you personally for a few months, however I have never seen you as happy as when I'm with you, and that does bring me pleasure."
"Is this a confession?" You ask, the man across from you nodding as he awaits a response.
gaeul sunbae (kge x f!reader)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
genre: gen? fuck if i know tbh || word count: 1.1k
author’s note: i’m not kidding btw this is not fluff neither is it angst, hope y’all enjoy nonetheless 🫶🫶
1.
“how the hell did they do this…”
wednesdays were your least favorite day of the week for one reason only: your industrial arts class.
i mean, who’d enjoy getting drenched in their own sweat while trying to play around with rulers every week?
i’m not even gonna be an architect, why do i have to learn this? you thought to yourself as you were hunched over your armchair, trying to replicate what your seatmate had done before he triumphantly got up and walked to the teacher’s table for checking.
you erased your circle…thing for what felt like the millionth time, your eraser shavings and crumpled-up bond paper being the only thing you could show for yourself after almost an hour. you stared at it for a second before swiping the eraser shavings off from your desk (along with your insecurities) and hunched over, ready to try again before a shadow loomed over you.
everything passed by and all you could do was stare in awe at the girl who took one look at your paper, hummed, and pulled up a chair beside you to finish the job. you were frozen; not even processing how softly she took the compass from your hand.
you snapped back to reality just in time to see her finish your plate activity with a flick of her wrist. literally.
she took one more look at it and hummed before putting your compass down and getting up to fall in line and have her work checked.
you all but stared as she leans against the board nonchalantly, not knowing if and how you should thank her for saving your grades -- only for the five-minute warning bell to remind you that her effort would be fruitless if you didn't go up beside her to line up.
in a rush, you haphazardly grabbed your paper and rushed to take the spot beside her, leaning against the board alongside her. your eyes travelled the room, observing the whole scene.
soon enough, you met the gaze of your savior.
surprised, you broke eye contact and suddenly found the wooden flooring much more interesting — an amusing sight to said savior.
you mustered up the courage to thank her while she was close, but you must’ve missed how the line had been moving since the next thing you knew, she was walking away from the teacher’s desk.
2.
“oh, i’m screwed…”
sitting at your assigned desk for your final exams, what was running through your mind wasn't the math formulas you had to memorize, no. instead, it was about how you could've -- should've -- reviewed your math lessons last night instead of napping the whole day.
what was that you kept saying, y/n? it’s all common sense?
noting the mini study group that formed behind you, you moved your chair closer to their circle, hoping that whatever they were talking about would stick around long enough to get you through the exam. you took a peak at the notes that were sprawled across the desk — and your future crumbling before your eyes.
you leaned back in your chair. just smile and laugh, folks, you thought as a defeated chuckle spilled out. you heaved out a deep sigh and looked up at the ceiling, resigning to your fate and deciding that napping would be a much better way to spend your time. you dragged your chair back to your seat and rested your head on your desk, ready to go off to dreamland before you felt a tap on your shoulder.
you let out a groan loud enough to make sure the perp was aware that you were not pleased by the interruption. with furrowed brows, you got up and looked around for whoever wanted to be on top of your kill list.
instead, you found a stack of well-organized notes on your desk; hope this helps - g.e, the sticky note on top read.
needless to say, that test was a piece of cake -- considering how you breezed through it with 30 minutes left to spare.
so did your savior, apparently.
when you turned your test over, you sat up and looked around at the rest of your classmates who were still hunched over and struggling through the test. all except one who met your gaze.
you gave her a small smile and nodded in acknowledgment. she returned the greeting before facing forward at the proctor's insistence, playing around with her pen to pass the time.
3.
"what the hell?!"
a lot of things made you go, "what the hell?!" but you'd never "what the hell?!"-ed more than you had today.
the project that your pe teacher just sprung on you guys about making a dance routine, the fact that your friends ditched you to pair up with each other, and the sight of gaeul-sunbae approaching you--wait what?
"hey, you wanna pair up for this?" she asked casually. all you could do was stare at her dumbfoundedly.
and let out a single syllable.
"huh?"
"well, i just noticed that all your other friends paired up with each other, so why not?"
"i mean...i don't see why not?"
"okay, so i'll make the choreo and send you the video. just follow it, and then i'll edit the whole thing together. shouldn't take that long," she said with finality before walking off to the bleachers, leaving you to think about what the hell just happened.
wait, that's it? am i really going to get hard-carried by gaeul-sunbae for a whole project without talking to her at all?!
exasperated at the realization, you huffed and puffed your way across the gymnasium, eyes locked on your target while everyone else's eyes were locked on you. the whispers were as good as white noise to you because your ears were fuming with steam at your sunbae.
why?
you were about to find out as well.
"yah!"
surprised at the intrusion, gaeul looked up at you with wide eyes. "um, yes?"
"what the hell is your deal?! why do you keep helping me?"
she calmly stood up, making sure to avoid your flailing arms. "well--"
"does this stroke your ego or something?!"
"wait, what? that--"
"oh, of course it does! i'm like your damsel in distress, huh? well newsflash, sunbae," you emphasized the title by pointing at her chest so hard she sat back down, "i can help myself."
with an annoyed eye roll, gaeul stood back up, holding your wrists together and bringing them down, making your resolve falter.
"that's no way to treat your sunbae, is it? especially one who's been so nice to you," she scoffed.
under her scrutinizing gaze, you were left speechless.
"you're lucky you're cute. now close that pretty mouth of yours, would you? wouldn't want any flies flying in.
unless you need my help there, too?" she asked while gently holding your chin between her index finger and thumb, closing your mouth and making you look up at her.
with a tut, she tapped your chin one more time. "now, if you excuse me, i'll get working on our project."
Blood Moon
Marc Spector/Moon Knight x Fem!Reader
TW/CW: Mentions of murder, spouse death, child death, betrayal, blood, violence, guilt, depression, manhunt
MINORS DNI I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR CONTENT YOU CONSUME
A/N: Yeah remember what I said about trying to finish this before Halloween? Yeah I'm a fucking liar don't ever take me for my word I am a monster.
This is where I decided to merge a tiny bit of lore from comics/MCU Moon Knight here in regards to his powers.
But anyways... Have this little tidbit into Marc's backstory! Marc and Randall are only about two years apart in age. So that means Marc is 36 at the time of this story. Forgive a few discrepancies here and there as I better establish a timeline.
Pt. 5
Living with Marc was certainly a hell of an experience. But, at the same time, you two were becoming a well-oiled machine. Barring the awkward slip-ups that had you two avoiding each other like the plague for hours, anyways.
It was nice, you found, to not be alone in your house anymore. You never realized it before, but you were always so... gray. Lifeless almost when you were alone. You didn't like to be left alone with your thoughts of yourself, of your inadequacies you'd never voice with anyone except your therapist.
But having Marc around eased that loneliness you actually hadn't realized you'd been feeling. Hell, it wasn't until he moved in and you got used to having another body in your house that you realized you were lonely in the first place.
Despite this, you'd realized that while yes, you had read his file and learned about his background, you'd yet to actually ask him about his past.
You haven't heard it directly from the horse's mouth, as it were.
But you decided not to broach the subject, yet. You still felt that it was too soon for that after your fight and make-up as a team to risk being at the throat of your new roommate.
Because, you realized, it was nice having one again. You hadn't had a roommate since you had been in foster care.
And you weren't ready to lose that just yet.
Marc had odd habits, to say the least. More often than not, you'd catch him actually sleeping in the basement on the old plush couch you kept down there, instead of his bedroom.
His bedroom was always kept immaculate, but the basement was his workspace and god, was it a mess.
Papers and tech strewn about, gear scattered on worktables as he took them apart to fix them or run maintenance; plus the cases containing your hero gear as well.
It looked like a college student crammed for their exam two hours before their finals almost every time you went down there...
🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸
Tonight, you'd found Marc fast asleep, snoring softly as he sprawled out on the worn, suede couch, his body sinking into the ridiculously squishy cushions as he dreamt.
He had one arm draped over his face, one knee raised, and the other arm hanging off the edge of the cushions, a datapad clutched tightly in his hand.
It was almost cute.
You pulled out a quilt you nabbed at a yard sale, once and carefully draped it over him, as the basement could get rather chilly at times and poor Marc was passed out in nothing but his sweats and a t-shirt.
You put your hands on your hips and looked at the mess scattered on the surface of the coffee table in front of him, plus the few on the floor. A few SHIELD-issue tablets, and some paper files (yeesh, who even used those anymore?).
You chewed your bottom lip hesitantly, sparing the unconscious Marc a small glance before you felt a nagging in your gut. Curiosity was always one of your less... qualities at times.
How did that story about curiosity and the cat go, again?
Anyways...
You simply couldn't help yourself. What exactly was Marc always researching all the time?
You had to know. Even if it was just a tiny nugget of knowledge.
You sat in a squat next to Marc, looking at him as he breathed softly, showing no signs of stirring.
You slowly and as gently as possible, pulled the tablet in Marc's hand free of his calloused fingers, and stepped away from him to turn it on, so the light wouldn't stir him.
And you were glad you did, it almost blinded you when you hit the power button.
How the fuck did Marc see with shit this bright?
You had to fumble until you turned the brightness down, and let your eyes re-adjust.
The thing that immediately struck you was one line.
A name.
It made your blood chill, turning into icy sludge as it crawled through your veins; you felt your mouth go dry.
Randall Spector.
Age: 34
Race: Caucasian
Last known confirmed location: Paris, France.
The rest of the page had a list of crimes he was the main suspect of. Murder, theft, espionage, assassination...
You looked up, dumbfounded at Marc's sleeping body.
There was no way they could be related. It had to be common name, right?
You looked back down and scrolled to another page.
And your hopes that it was a common last name were dashed.
The picture of the man was this Randall, younger obviously, he looked to be in his early 20s in his Illinois ID.
But the resemblance to Marc was sickeningly uncanny. Randall had messy curly hair that was slicked back as best he could, and a charming smile that could no doubt put a heart attack at ease, his brown eyes glowing with humor in their depths as he grinned for the camera.
You swallowed hard at the lump in your throat and continued scrolling. The file contained grainy and blurry security footage of possible sightings over the years in various places across the globe.
The most shocking picture at the end, however... Was a picture of Marc with a group of people, Randall included.
They were, judging by the looks of it, in a desert of some kind. Randall hung on Marc, appearing to be laughing as the photo had been taken, meanwhile Marc stood, unusually clean-shaven and stoic, his arms crossed over his chest as he gave a small, ghost of a smile.
A young woman stood to Marc's left, holding onto his forearm as she smiled widely, her dark black, curly hair pulled back into a tight braid, her thick-rimmed glasses perched all the way up her nose.
Marc and that woman wore matching bands on their left ring fingers.
You brought your hand to your mouth in revulsion at the revelation, feeling your stomach roil in protest. It was either guilt, or horror because you knew... Marc had no family. You knew about his daughter being dead. But not her mother. Nothing about a brother.
You were in too deep now, and you just couldn't stop yourself.
You scrolled to a new page, detailing a small bit of information on that woman.
Erica Spector.
Age (deceased): 26
Race: Hispanic.
Cause of death: Vehicular Accident (Attributed to brake failure)
The picture of her ID broke your heart. She beamed at the camera, her slightly crooked teeth showing as she smiled proudly, a slight glare in her glasses as the flash hit the lenses.
The next photo, was her and Marc. At their wedding. She wore a gorgeous mermaid gown with a floral lace neckline, her sleeves ending in almost a bell-shape. Her hair hung down in gorgeous waves with violets pinned to the strands, framing her face and sun-kissed skin illuminated with highlighter as she smiled at the camera. Marc had been looking at the ground for whatever reason as they both stood at the altar, his arm around her waist and his hand adjusting the waistline of his dress pants.
But he was smiling. And it was such a gorgeous smile, teeth out, dimples in his cheeks and his eyes practically closed from how wide his lips were stretched.
The next photo broke your heart.
It appeared to be a maybe a year or so later (at most) after the photo of them in the desert.
Erica was pregnant, her belly sticking out far in the baby blue sundress she wore, holding up a cute pink onesie in her hands that simply read "Daddy's Princess" on the front in purple cursive font.
The photo after that one was of them in the hospital, Marc standing by the window of the hospital room, holding his newborn daughter in his arms, a soft, glowing smile on his face as her tiny fingers gripped his hand.
You felt your chest burn as you felt the gravity start to kick in, but you turned another page in the file.
Diatrice Spector
Age (deceased): 5
Race: Hispanic-Caucasian
Cause of death: Homicide (Found to be caused by gunshot wounds to the chest.)
You felt like your heart would give out at that word.
Homicide.
You assumed Marc lost his daughter in some horrible, tragic accident, like you'd lost your family.
But no. Three years ago, someone murdered his baby. And her babysitter.
The photos of the crime scene unfolded next, bloody boot prints everywhere, the babysitter's head partially caved in from a beating, and Diatrice--
"What the hell are you doing?!"
You jumped and almost dropped the tablet in your fright, spinning on your heels to see Marc staring at you from the couch, the quilt hastily tossed off of him.
You expected him to be angry, to look absolutely pissed at you.
Instead he looked... Terrified. Scared.
Heartbroken.
His gorgeous brown eyes were big, heavy dark circles hanging like curtains over his cheeks as he stared at you, mouth agape.
"I... I... I'm sorry, I... I didn't--" You stammer, swallowing hard, clutching the tablet against your chest.
"I was just..."
God, there was no excuse for this. You were curious. Curious and nosey, and you didn't have the guts to ask him anything about his past to his face yet, afraid for the repercussions that might cause; of the ripples it would trigger in the glass-like surface of the water of teamwork you two strove for.
Marc looks at you, your eyes locked in a tense, silent stare.
Then, he runs his hand through his air as he lets out a slow exhale, shoulders dropping.
He looks away and waves you over to sit next to him, and he scoots to the side.
The moment you sat down, you immediately thrust the tablet into his lap, your palms spreading over your knees as you bounced your feet.
"L-Look, I was just--"
"Stop." Marc sighed, setting the tablet on the coffee table. His voice was still heavy with sleep, that slightly gravelly tone you may or may not have fantasized about once or twice.
He looked at you, his lips pressed into a thin line before he spoke.
"How far did you get?"
Your nails dug into the fabric of your pajama pants as your legs bounced aimlessly, trying to alleviate the embarrassment, guilt, and shame of you snooping through his things.
"I..." You say, chewing the inside of your cheek.
God, you felt terrible.
Your body stopped cold when his heavy hand slid over your knee, stopping your movements in their place.
You felt his fingers squeeze you softly, before his palm rubbed the bones he could feel beneath your skin and muscle in a soothing gesture.
"I guess it's only fair I tell you about me, huh?" Marc sighed dejectedly, taking his hand off of you and wiping his face, as if that gesture alone could erase his fatigue.
"To answer the first few questions I know you have bouncing around in your head..." He added, leaning forward with his elbows on his knees as he stared at the paperwork and tablets on the table in front of you two.
"Yes. Randall is my brother. My little brother. And yes. I'm looking for him." Marc looked at you.
You were sitting patiently, your brows pinched and your expression pensive.
"Nobody would listen to me, but I know he caused the accident that killed Erica." You saw his throat bob hard as his expression darkened. "The investigation said she veered off the road due to bad conditions. But I'm not stupid. I looked into it myself, and bribed someone to let me look at the wreckage. The brake lines weren't torn during the crash, they were cut before the crash. Nobody would listen to me and I almost got arrested for interfering with an investigation. Yeah, right."
He snorted, a humorless and cold sound.
"They closed the case as an accident, wouldn't listen to me. Said I was "too hung up on the loss of my wife"." He made finger quotes. "So I investigated myself. God, fuck, I knew it was Randall... If they'd just listened to me... He..."
His voice broke up as he clenched his eyes shut.
"Diatrice wouldn't have been... I would still have her."
"Marc...." You say, reaching out to touch his shoulder. "Why... why would Randall do this?"
He sighs deeply, a heavy sound coming from him like the air was just vacuumed out of his lungs.
"It... Fuck. Randall is the one who introduced me to Erica. I had just gotten out of the Marines. It just... They weren't a good fit for me, so I returned to Chicago. Home." Marc leaned back, looking up at the ceiling. "Randall had gotten a job in some security firm for archeological digs, which is where he met Erica. It was good money, he told me. They were friends. She just got her degree and was trying to get the spot on a dig site somewhere. We... hit it off fast. Within a year, we got married, Randall got me a job in his firm. A year after that, we went to Egypt with Erica on a dig."
"Your file said you got your powers on a dig in Egypt..." You say softly.
"Yeah. That same dig. It was a pain in the ass, we still don't know what exactly happened. I touched something, a statue, and... Poof. Powers." Marc lets out a slow hiss of air, his eyes closing, dark lashes touching his cheeks. "We finished the dig, everyone swore into secrecy. SHIELD found out about it anyways, and offered me a position. It's where I built my ankh and my tech."
"But... Peter said you got your powers from the ankh." You say, brows knit together in confusion.
"He's wrong. My file was put down incorrectly, but it's been fixed since I noticed the discrepancy after Peter mentioned that when he wanted my help during the Symbiote Invasion." Marc looked at you, his eyes tired and strained.
"But still. Something pissed Randall off. Randall and I weren't ever really friends, even as siblings. We tolerated each other. When I got those powers and he didn't? He just... he fucking snapped. After we returned from the dig, members of the team started turning up dead. Then, we found out we were expecting our first child. It turns out that Erica either got pregnant during the dig or shortly after."
You couldn't help but smile softly, your expression a bit pained. "During the dig? Marc..."
"Let's just say we were happy I wasn't dead after touching that statue." Marc said, closing his eyes with a nostalgic, yet sad smile.
"But anyways... with our baby on the way, we focused on that instead. When Diatrice was born, it was the happiest day of my life. She was a happy, bubbly little thing."
You sensed the shift from affectionate pride as he spoke about his daughter, to the grief you knew was coming as he spoke:
"Two years later, Erica had her "accident". Three years after that... Randall murdered Dee and Sandra. God. That poor girl. She was still so young. She tried so hard to keep him from hurting Dee."
He gritted his teeth and rested his arm over his face, most likely to hide the tears that wanted to roll free from the dam of his eyelids. Marc's voice was a weak tremble.
"After that, I started hunting, I moved my base of ops to the sewers. I went digging after he vanished. He became a hitman, a no-good killer for hire. Then I went to ground six months before the Symbiotes invaded. After that is when Peter found me, or well, I found him."
"And here we are, a year later..." You said softly.
"Yeah." He croaked out weakly.
You both sat in a long, pregnant silence. You weren't even sure how long it was, all you could hear was the sound of the water heater making noises now and again, and the buzzing fluorescent lights illuminating your basement.
"Marc?" You finally asked.
"Yeah?" He answered.
You swallowed the lump in your throat and lean back and over, until your head rested on Marc's shoulder.
You could feel him hold his breath and tense, and you waited until he breathed again to speak.
"...I'm sorry for snooping." You apologized.
"You were curious about me. It's not like I've been forthcoming about this shit." Marc sighed softly, his body softening slightly.
"But still. It was wrong." You say to him, closing your eyes as you take a deep breath.
The smokey, pine scent of his choice of cologne and body wash filled your nose, filtering around in your lungs as you take in the essence that is Marc Spector.
"Marc."
"Still here."
"Thank you... for telling me all of this." You whisper.
"It was about time I get it all out. I guess it just took the right battering ram to knock the door down."
You can't help but chuckle, and Marc joins in with you.
It was good to hear him laugh.
Nemesis (Vergil x Reader) - Chapter 3
Nemesis
Pairing: Vergil x Reader
Summary: The Abyss opening is a rare occurrence. In his youth, Vergil wanted to harness its power, but never thought he would meet his greatest adversary along the way. Years later, the Abyss is once again open and that might call for some rather unlikely alliances.
Chapter 1 (Prologue) | Chapter 2 | Chapter 3 (you are here!)
Age restriction: 18+ - there’s a lot of blood, violence, cursing and all those things people want to forbid younger audiences of seeing. Also, cosmic horror is a thing here. Procceed with caution.
TRIGGER WARNINGS: Deals with trickster entities and death omens :)
Special Thanks and Credits: @furyeclipse is the wonderful creator of a very main character in all this plot, Ovid - the trickster being the reader will be dealing with and who will have many interactions with the crew. Fury helped me to write some of Ovid's key moments, their realm, their appearance and their mannerisms - after all, it was all Fury's creation and I'm just honored to be able to share such a rich character and worldbuilding!
Thank you so so much for allowing me to add your character to Nemesis and for being such a wonderful friend!
You can check Fury's work on their Ao3, which you can find here: FuryEclipse Ao3
Strongly suggest you guys reading Devoid of Purpose, where you can understand Ovid better ;)
Author's Notes: It took me a little while for this one and I do apologize, but my health isn't the best currently. I will have to go through some medical exams in the upcoming weeks and I'll start taking some meds, so I might have some delays/disappearances from writing. But I will ALWAYS come back to post Nemesis!!
This was a very fun chapter to write. I do enjoy Ovid a lot and their interactions with the reader are 10/10 based on knowledge seeking. Get ready for fighting (and annoying) Vergil on the next chapter, though ;)
Chapter 3
The city reeked of blood and destruction.
After so many years from your city’s incident, you never expected your memories to feel so alive. But there they were, haunting every corner of a new disaster – ghosts of a past you longed to forget, back to cling to your slivers of sanity like demons burying their claws in human flesh.
That city had fallen into chaos. People were crying, screaming, running around in despair looking for solace – for something or someone to save them from whatever the Abyss had attracted.
They first looked at you with hope and admiration – only to change to fear and horror when they realized that, even if your victims were demons, you were a killer after all.
And a very skilled one. Behind your footsteps, no demons were allowed. To fall into your protection meant to be safe; to find salvation amidst all that hell. Even if people feared you and your bloodstained hands, they were grateful for being their only hope of survival.
“Is everyone out of the city already?” You cleaned the blood that spilled on your face while walking towards the captain of the city’s guard, in charge of the evacuation.
Even the soldiers looked at you with a certain unease in their eyes. No one would want to get into a fight against you.
“The last two safe buses are just ready to go.” The captain, though, was the only one able to look into your eyes without hesitation. He could use a soldier like you. “Next one is for me, my crew, and you, y/n.”
“Thank you, but I’m not going with you.”
Your comment sent a wave of whispers among the soldiers. Before the captain could answer, you explained yourself.
“The Abyss is far more dangerous than we know. Someone has to stay behind and make sure it’s going to close without anything going in or coming out.”
Of course, you’d never say it was the only place you would certainly find the blue coated devil who almost killed you back in your city. You were certain he would be there but, so far, no blue demons crossed your view.
And you were especially aware of it.
“Well. You have a good point there. Just make sure to come back alive, alright?”
“Will do. I have to help a friend with laundry next week.”
No one understood your comment, but they also wouldn’t ask. You swinged your silver blade to get it rid of the blood and paced back into the city.
It was time to meet an old enemy.
*
As your steps echoed through the streets of the abandoned city, you had this uncomfortable feeling at the base of your stomach. It seemed like eyes were fixed on the back of your head and hands rested heavily on your shoulders.
But no one walked those streets except you.
Keeping your silver sword in hand, you didn’t stray from your path. The Abyss was close: you had learned to discern between how demons and the Abyss felt like as you started working as a devil hunter. While demons were certainly unnerving, the Abyss had something of… Uncertain. A sense of unknown – and the knowledge of what that was could be worse than fatal; probably better left in the realms of shadows.
But there was a… Third energy. Something else you couldn’t quite pinpoint its origin. It was unnerving, yes, but it felt… Old. Older than whatever demons you could’ve met.
Your steps approached an ancient building – probably a public school; you couldn’t exactly tell what it was. And you would’ve remained focused on your main objective if you hadn’t glimpsed inside the building.
A pair of eyes observed you from the shadows. It stared at you before disappearing deeper into the darkness, but you could swear those eyes were yours.
“What gives…?” You murmured to yourself, barely feeling your feet unconsciously following those eyes, as you crossed the derelict entrance.
You should be going towards the Abyss. That was the reason why you were there, it was the main purpose of you being hired that day. But… How come you saw a being with your eyes inside that building? As you entered the main hall, you found nothing but a reception desk and paper tossed around, ripped and burnt as people fled. Observing into the darkness, that place was a library.
Infinite rows of old mahogany seemed to go deep inside the shadows – until your eyes could barely make out any shapes. It was all probably in your head: dealing with demons made one prone to hallucinations, sooner or later.
As you prepared your feet to leave, you heard a scratchy metallic noise – faint, in the distance, but still there. Turning around, you stared into the shadow and you could swear your eyes picked up something moving.
You couldn’t tell what it was – if it was a demon, a creature or a human. But it was someone. If it was a human, it needed your help. If it was a demon, it deserved to die.
You decided to let your steps follow the sound.
Upon entering the rows of destroyed bookcases and rotting books, you kept on following that light metallic noise – like gentle knifes scratching at the floor, wood or any surface it could touch. Your eyes caught glimpses of a shadow, but never its full form. You turned your head around, your feet followed with precision – your curiosity leading you further and further into the labyrinth of old pages and decaying wood.
When you reached what it seemed to be the center – a round open space, surrounded by aisles and aisles of mahogany bookcases – your white rabbit seemed to have disappeared. There was no other indication of which path you should follow to find it, and you couldn’t deny you were certainly lost inside the library.
Your steps circled the room, slowly, trying to find your way out or the creature leading you further inside. Perhaps… Perhaps it was him. The devil who defeated you that fateful day, the one you longed to rematch. Maybe it was his way of leading you into a trap – and, if it was, you would be ready. Holding your silver sword with certainty, you wouldn’t be caught by surprise.
That library certainly looked like a proper place to defeat him and hold your sword to his neck, while one of your feet held his chest down on the floor, keeping him in his place. No demon was superior to a human, and you would prove him that.
The metallic tapping brought you back from your thoughts, dissipating the image of you finally subduing the blue coated demon. Turning around, you found your eyes again at the end of a long, dark aisle. With resolute steps, you plunged into the darkness, without flinching or thinking twice.
The eyes disappeared as soon as you started to follow them – but, upon reaching the end of the aisle, you found a great wooden door with an old plaque by its side. Cleaning the dust to see it better, you read what it was: “Forbidden Session – Entry allowed only upon authorization”.
Indeed, the door had an old black iron lock, probably requiring an iron key to enter. You tried to force it open a few times, but it was to no avail. With a deep, slightly frustrated sigh, you turned around to look for a way to open it – but your search wasn’t needed: as soon as you rotated on your feet, you found a great, heavy iron key waiting for you in one of the shelves filled with dust.
It didn’t escape your eyes the key was clean despite how abandoned the place looked.
Without questioning, you took it on your hands and finally opened the heavy door. Its hinges complained as you pushed it open and your steps entered the room.
Your heart slightly jumped inside your chest for a couple of quick seconds. It seemed like your eyes got used to the darkness, but soon you realized that session of the library was lit in a procession of warm candles that seemed to never really burn out. The door behind you was closed, and the reception desk had an old, heavy guestbook ominously waiting for you between two candles lit with purple flames.
You didn’t let go of your weapons. Strengthening your grip around the silver, you walked over the guestbook – finally noticing your steps weren’t the only sound to be heard: a faint, albeit calm, piano song filled the air. You didn’t know where it came from, but it was weirdly… Soothing.
“Traveler from afar, if you wish to drink upon the knowledge of forbidden and forgotten books, you must let go of your protections and sign your name. Only then, the library will welcome you among its pages and endless words. Beware, though, not to get lost in other worlds: some writings are tricky and the search for knowledge might claim your soul.”
Those were the words written on a blank, old page of the book waiting for you at the reception. Let go of protections and sign your name. Both conditions were tricky and asked too much of you: the protections were your weapons, and your name could be used in ancient spells for many purposes. The book asked you to be completely vulnerable and you weren’t comfortable with that.
“Hmmm…” You wiggled your nose while thinking, murmuring to yourself. That presence remained around you, but there was no reason to believe someone was really watching you. And, if there was indeed a being following you, they could at least try to answer any questions. “I wonder if this place has information about the Abyss…”
As you muttered, something seemed to fall in the inner part of the round reception desk. There was no one to receive you, so you took the liberty to inspect what made that noise. You found another book on the floor – this time bigger, older, and seemingly infinite: clearly a product of magic. There were no doubts you had crossed into another realm and, even if you didn’t know how to go back, your curiosity was bigger than your fear.
Taking the leather cover into your hands, you leaned the book in one of your arms, opening it with your free hand. Your eyebrows raised in delight as you realized you were staring into a library Index: all books and their subjects were noted down in beautifully crafted calligraphy, with a note on their location inside the library.
You turned page after page in what it seemed like an endless passing of time – as if Time itself didn’t exist in that wonderful realm of books and knowledge you had found yourself into. That presence seemed to keep watching you; intently, carefully… Curiously. As curious as your eyes running on the pages searching for more knowledge on the Abyss.
“Aha…” You finally found what you were looking for. The Abyss and other Ancient Realms – that was the only title on that theme. It was in the Restricted Session, and that could only indicate you would have a price to pay for that knowledge. “Alright. Let’s find the Restricted Session then.”
As you murmured those words, a path of purple flames lit the way to said Restricted Session. You wouldn’t have to worry about becoming trapped or never finding your way back: the library would show where the knowledge you needed was – your will would have to bring you back.
With a deep breath, you let go of your silver sword, leaning it on the reception desk. You placed your guns by the side of the guestbook, taking an inking pen and, after dipping it in the deep purple ink, you signed your name in the old, yellowish pages.
You were completely vulnerable, but you could use your arcane knowledge to your advantage. You had tested it before in several situations: the blood spell you did on your silver sword was very efficient in bringing it back to you in dire need. The blood inside it felt the calling of the blood in your veins, it didn’t matter the distance. It could take some time, but your trusted sword would be there to protect you – and that gave you some peace of mind.
The Restricted Session was less ominous than you thought it would look like. Behind the black iron bars of the gate that kept curious hands at bay, lied an obsidian box that could keep just one book inside, framed by the light of many sparkling purple candleflames.
“You who search the oldest of secrets must leave something in return.”
An old, golden altar stood beside the bars of the Restricted Session, keeping you between the knowledge of the Abyss. It was at your hand’s reach, so close and yet, so far away. You wanted it with your whole heart, but that altar was a warning and a deal: you had to sacrifice something if you wanted to learn something new.
No small offering would be enough for that book – no, it had to be a big one. Something beloved, something cherished. Something your heart would break to part.
Your guardian angel’s deep blue shawl.
You touched the soft fabric, your heart jumping inside your chest. Of everything you were willing to part of, that was your most prized belonging. It was the only thing that reminded you of some protection, of some gentleness. You didn’t want to let go – you wanted to keep the memory of your guardian angel close to your heart forever.
But you could never attain the knowledge you needed without making sacrifices.
You closed your eyes, taking a deep and slow breath. It was stupid to cry over a piece of fabric, so you wouldn’t – even if your heart wanted to weep. Unwrapping it from your neck, you once again opened your eyes, carefully placing your beloved shawl in the ancient golden altar. The purple flames reflected a beautiful dance in the only memory you had of your guardian angel… Of you being cared for and remembered, at least by someone.
With your heart sinking in your chest, a heavy click opened the gates of the Restricted Session, allowing you to go in.
The obsidian box was open, revealing a big, ominous book with a deep blue leather cover. The Abyss and Other Ancient Realms – the letters were in silver, slowly fading with time, but beautifully crafted inside a gothic frame of vines. You took it into your hands, the weight almost heavier than your sword. It shouldn’t be, but some books held more knowledge than others. Some enchanted books, with infinite pages, impossible to run out of space in its binding.
You left the Restricted Session, looking over your shoulders one last time to catch a glimpse of your cherished blue shawl. It seemed like leaving a piece of your heart behind, but you took a deep breath and kept on your path back to the reception desk – you wouldn’t cry, at least not with your eyes, and you wouldn’t turn back once more either.
What was done was done. You had made your choice, and you wouldn’t go back.
As you approached the reception desk once more, though, a dark figured towered around it – and the eyes. It had your eyes.
It looked like a Eurasian Eagle-Owl, feathers in deep purple and black, glistening with the trembling candle flames. Its chest carried a blood red glow, faintly able to see under its jet-black wings. It stood tall, far taller than you, smart eyes mimicking yours as it followed your every move with interest and mischievous curiosity. Only when your careful steps got close enough you were able to see it had two sets of wings – one close to its body, another resembling the mannerisms of human arms.
You had your eyes in it – carefully drinking its every move. You didn’t know if it was friend or foe; if it tried to attack you, your sword, peacefully laying behind it, would have to make its way to your hand.
“If you’re looking for that white rabbit, he’s not here.” Its voice reverberated through walls and the floor, catching your ears and your heart. You’d say it was a demon, but something about its energy was… Different. Ancient. “But I sense that you seek a knowledge that is worth pursuing to the darkest depth of the Underworld to find it.” As it finished speaking, a small laugh followed the words, clearly enjoying your curiosity that led you to that realm. “How will curious little Alice accomplish such a dangerous feat?”
“With courage. You have to be curious in order to be brave.” Your answer was certain albeit careful. Never before you had encountered a demon that resembled the creature standing before you – and the Codex Daemonica had no information about that. “I wonder. If I was led here but there’s no white rabbit to be seen, who am I talking to? The Cheshire Cat?”
Once again, that laugh reverberated through your chest, while its feathers shook with delight. Of all creatures you had met, that was the first who made you unsure. As far as your knowledge went, you could be talking to a trickster, like the ancient Norse deity, Loki.
“Alice should know better that names are not to be given so lightly.”
You just stared back into your own eyes, a small unsatisfied smile coloring your lips. You had signed your name; you had given it already. But words have power, especially the ones voiced by one’s own lips. If you wanted its name, you had to give yours – you had to voice it so it could voice its own. An eye for an eye, a hand for a hand, a name for a name.
“Y/n. My name is y/n, as I signed in the guestbook already.” You said after a deep breath. You could be making a huge mistake, but the book in your arms was worth whatever price. You had already left your guardian angel’s shawl – there was no going back now.
“It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance, little Alice.” The creature bowed its head slightly, making you mirror its chivalry. “You can call me Ovid, master of this realm.”
“You certainly have a wonderful library, Ovid.” You couldn’t keep secret the fact that you had a Restricted Session book in your arms: Ovid probably knew what you had given up for it already and you had every intention to check that book out. For good or for bad. “With knowledge that even the best arcane libraries in the human realm only dream of.”
“Indeed, y/n, indeed… How far would you go fur such knowledge, little Alice?”
“As far as necessary, dear Cheshire Cat.”
Its eyes reflected the same fire that burned in yours – but you didn’t look down. You had already met that stare before: years ago, when fighting the blue coated devil, it was that sort of glance that commanded you to give up and made you only ignore it and remain stronger in your own will.
It was rare for Ovid meeting such a strong-willed human. A journey alongside you could be quite interesting, after all.
“I see you have already accessed the Restricted Session…” Ovid murmured back, glancing quickly at the book in your hands. “To check out such knowledge, in the other hand, there are a few conditions.”
“As I said before, I’m willing to go as far as necessary. I already gave up something dear to me.” It was rare for you to put yourself in such a vulnerable position, but there you were. That book was worth much more than you could ever dream of and, if you needed to, you would fight that creature for it – even if you didn’t know what it was.
“And you can read it in my realm whenever you see fit, as long as your offering remains in the altar.” Once again, it bowed its head slightly, only to turn those bright, cunning eyes back to you right after. “But in order to return constantly, I shall need something in return.”
You smiled. There was always a catch. That’s how it was when dealing with demons.
“What is it?”
“For which purpose does little Alice needs such a book so desperately…?” You could hear it in its voice: they knew you had a goal, that you needed that book not only for curiosity, but for something else.
You had to be honest and vulnerable – something you avoided with all your strength. There were no cards left up your sleeve and the only thing you had in your advantage was that you could summon your silver sword at any moment – unless Ovid had sensed that spell already.
“There are no books in the human realm with knowledge on the Abyss. Whatever it is, I need to know more about it to keep it from destroying entire cities like it did to mine.” You took a deep breath, never lowering your eyes from Ovid’s cunning stare. “I will write a Codex Abyssae, just like there is a Codex Daemonica, so other hunters may be able to protect other people. This…” You looked down at the book in your arms, furrowing your brows. “This is the best source I found to this day. I can’t let it go.”
As your eyes went back to Ovid’s, you could swear it was smiling – after all, you knew how your eyes looked when you were doing so.
“Well, well, little Alice…” There was a tinge of delight in its voice, and you couldn’t refrain your heart from being wary. “It seems that the Fates brought our paths together, then. This book can only be read on my realm, however you might be able to come and go as you please for your research as long as you keep its information updated.” Those eyes, your eyes, glinted with a smart burst of energy of something that hadn’t had that much fun in centuries. “You see, my collection, sometimes, gets obsolete. Inside this book, you will find everything you need to know on the Abyss, but I’m afraid there is so much more yet to be discovered. It will be an honor harboring a copy of your Codex Abyssae along my many pages and oceans of words.”
One of their wings pointed back at the book. As you observed the cover, The Abyss and other ancient realms title disappeared, only to give room to the carefully crafted, gothic silver words of Codex Abyssae.
That was your book. That was your research. If you accepted it, all that knowledge, all that power would be yours – and you would get to update it, as well as write your own version for the human realm. It was really a lot more than you could have wished for, even if it bounded you to that creature you knew so little about.
“What happens when I am done?”
“You cannot return.” Ovid’s voice was calm, acting as if it was just another day in their eternity. Their eyes, though, glinted with delight. “The Codex will return to its safety in the Restricted Session. Your shawl will be returned. You will have your knowledge, and I will have mine. Our deal will be over.”
Of course, it was a deal. Something like that always had a price.
And you were willing to pay it.
“How do I access the library to read the Codex when I need to?”
“You can always summon me with one of my feathers, dear Alice.”
It seemed like you hadn’t noticed it before, but right by the guest book, there was a golden dish with a silky, long black feather in it. Like you imagined before, you would be bound to that creature to a certain extent, as long as you kept your part of the bargain. They would give you knowledge if you delivered knowledge in return.
It was a small price to pay, in your point of view.
“Well, then. You have yourself a deal, Cheshire.” You took a deep breath, declaring your will out loud. “I will keep the Codex Abyssae updated as long as I can come and go from the library and read it for my research, Ovid. Deal.”
That laugh reverberated through the library once more as you reached for the feather. You could finally leave the Codex on the reception desk, knowing you could come back any time and spend hours and hours reading it to your heart’s desire.
“I have to finish the job I was hired to do, but when I want to come back…”
“I will be there to guide you into my realm, little Alice.” Ovid made a small signal with their head, making you slightly bow in return.
“Thank you for allowing me to have access to your library, Ovid.”
“Thank you, little Alice, for giving me such knowledge to build upon, but do be careful on the road ahead.” Their warning caught you off guard, making you stop as you were ready to get your weapons once more. “You have been close to death once before, I can see that.” As those words filled your mind, you furrowed your brows. “Before you go, I shall give you a piece of advice to mull over. The next time you end up on death’s doorstep, it will take you without hesitation. So, live a fruitful and fulfilling human life, with the time you’ve got left. Death does not give second chances lightly.”
That warning placed a heavy weight on your heart, taking your breath away for a few seconds. You had defied death once but, as it seemed, you wouldn’t be able to do it twice.
With so much left to do, you kept that warning in a place you could think about later. You struck a deal. It was done. You couldn’t turn back now.
*
As soon as your feet left the door that got you inside the library, you found yourself back into the derelict building that led you there. You glanced back, hoping to see the purple flames and the reception desk once more – now with your weapons back to your grip and the feel of your trusted sword hilt calming your heart – but you only found an old empty room, with books and paper scattered all over the dusty floor.
You were back – and it all seemed like a lifelong dream. You would consider it all to have been just your imagination, if Ovid’s feather didn’t weight inside your coat’s pocket. Checking once more, your fingers found the silky touch of the feather and you knew; it was all true. You had struck a deal with a trickster, maybe a demon, maybe something older – you weren’t sure. But you had done it for a knowledge and a power the strongest demons could only dream of.
Your steps quickly led you back to the round hall surrounded by the labyrinth of mahogany aisles, lit only by a sheer light that entered through the cracks in the walls. Soon, you would find your steps away from that building, back to your job, to make sure the Abyss would close, and nothing would be able to go in – or get out.
“This time, I will not allow you to go any further… Little human.”
That voice. It was his voice. You were certain of it.
Turning around, you smiled as you saw a very well-known silhouette lit only by the stray rays of light, framing his shoulders and his conceited head held high in the air – the sword on his hand, ready to attack; the smirk framing his arrogance… His eyes, defying yours with a fire burning in silver. The blue coat gracing him as a frame.
You smirked back, holding your head high and staring back with your burning eyes.
“Long time no see… Demon.”
Dont Touch My Hair
An Eddie munson X Black! Punk! Male reader
Tumblr media
You and eddie had been friends for over a year. And this was the day that changed everything
You had ended up sleeping at eddies trailer after a long night of performances at The Hideout. This was a normal occurrence however, it was almost routine that you ended up staying at eddies for the night. hell, the band started encouraging it. For a week straight you had been sneaking back into your room just as it cracked dawn. The sun beamed through a slit in a curtain, disturbing your sleep as you stirred in the dense beanbag. Scratching…your hair? Oh shit. You must've been so tired you forget to put a bonnet on! You jumped up. Almost tripping over loose junk on the floor running towards the bathroom mirror to see how bad it was. And it was bad. Flat-on-the-side-you-slept-on bad. You opened up the sink cabinets hoping to find some sort of moisturizer but alas eddies hair care was barren. All the commotion must've woken him up because when you whipped around there he was. Standing there leaning on the side of the door
“..Whatre you doing (Y/N)?” he groaned in his sleepy, groggy voice. Rubbing the sleep out of his eyes
“Ugh my fucking..afro get messed up” you said, reaching into the crevass of the sink cabinet, but alas your search ended up empty handed
“You dont have anything in here Eddie how the fuck do you do your hair?”you grumbled in frustration. You guys were already running late and this was not the time for a bad hair day
“Hmn..what do you need? I can go out and get it” he said, combing his fingers through his bangs, bastard only had to do one thing to his hair and it was ready
“You wouldn't know what to get ed i-“ you started before being interrupted by Eddie
“Oh i bet i do. Cmon give me the address ill he back in 5!” He beamed rather confidently, doubt filled your mind. But, you were feeling humorous, so you entertained it. “fine, here it is” you handed him a slip of paper, he snatched it from your hands, running to the door while getting dressed. You waited for the bumbling punk to fall but he managed to exit without fail. To your dismay . You smiled; would..just anybody do this for you?
“What if he..no..but that smile..” you said yourself, brain racking around with thoughts. Eddie always seemed more chipper around you. And lately, more eager to spend time. When you went to the arcade…You..sensed his hand hovering over your waist. Almost like he wanted to hold you but something was holding him back..his own conscious maybe? What if-
Your spiraling thoughts were interrupted with the loud smack of the door snapping shut . Looking at the clock in the hallway, about 10 minutes had passed while you were wallowing, He had brought back a decent sized bag a long recipt dangling out of his pocket
“Hey uhhh i got your stuff! I didnt expect it to cost this much, christ” he said dropping the bag onto the counter.
“Well color me impressed” you muttered smiling at Eddie he had actually done decent,..oil moisturizer…sheen..pomade it actually flustered you that he knew at least a little bit about your hair..and what you needed to take care of it.
“So uh..what am I supposed to do?” He questioned picking up a pic and examing your hair, Almost like it was some sort of sculpture
“What you finna do is watch ME do MY hair, you're gonna go and do…whatever “ you smirked washing your hands before getting ready to start your routine when you felt a pair of rough hands holding your waist, a finger slapping the elastic of your boxers onto your skin, which made you flinch
“You're not..gonna let me treat you?” He whispered into your ear, his breath grazing the side of your ear
“E-Eddie what's gotten into-“ you couldn’t get a sentence out before being spun around to face Eddie. Now looking at him straight into his big brown eyes.
“(Y/N), have you really not been noticing the hints I’ve been dropping? The arcade, the sleeping. you..haven’t noticed?” He said, his eyebrows furrowing as he squeezed your shoulders.
You stared at him for a while..processing it all. It almost felt like a fantasy that Eddie was confessing to you..you had dreamed for a moment like this.
“Eddie i-“ before you could get a word out, he cupped your face into his hands. His cold rings sending a shiver down your spine before his warm lips connected to yours. The sensation was magical, he tasted like what you had imaged. Cheap mints and a slight hint of beer. You loved the taste. Wrapping your arms around eddies neck. The kiss had lasted around 6 or 7 seconds before you pulled away, when you opened your eyes you noticed that Eddie had to step on his tiptoes to kiss you, god he was so adorable..and short.
“I've been waiting to do to that” he sighed holding your chin with his finger, obviously wanting more than just one little kiss but you still had to do your hair.
“Wait I got an idea” Eddie exclaimed, we went for your hair again before you grabbed his wrist.
“I….wash your hands first..” you muttered. You let nobody touch your hair. At all. It was precious to you. And you were about to let Eddie Fucking Munson touch it. If your mother saw what you were doing, she would yank you out that trailer and drag you home. But she wasn't here. nor would she ever know.
The sensation of Eddie placing his hands on your (H/C) coils was startling, He looked at you for reassurance and you just nodded, allowing him to continue. He took a water bottle sprayer. spritzing a little bit onto your hair and massaging some moisturizer in.
The sensation of his hands was nice, and the rhythm he had was mesmerizing, and it soothed you.
He picked up a pick, making sure to carefully undo any tangles, rounding out the back.
“You sure I'm doing good?” He asked, he seemed more than eager to do a good job, he wanted to impress you.
“You’re doing great Eddie” you smiled at him, a stifled laughter could be heard at your remark
He started morphing your afro into liberty spikes, he was so focused on getting it symmetrical. Once he was pleased he spritzed sheen on, smiling at his work .
“Aaand done! What do you think of my masterpiece (Y/N)?” He beamed radiantly, handing you a mirror but holding it like it was some sort of magical weapon, which made you giggle
Once you saw it, you almost teared up. It was amazing. Other punks always said you couldn’t do liberty spikes but yours looked better than most of theirs.
“Oh my fucking god Eddie this looks great!” You jumped into his arms, it surprised him but he welcomed it with open arms, swinging you around
“Only the best for my prince~”
DAY 31 ━ J. POTTER, S. BLACK, R. LUPIN, L. EVANS, & M. MCKINNON
SYNOPSIS → in which you weren't meant to be studying.
WORD COUNT → 768 words
WARNINGS → not really smutty
Tumblr media
You were exhausted. Stupid exams.
You will be glad when your exams are over. You've been studying forever. And you hadn't even had your first exam.
You trudged up the lengthy stairs, your arms filled with text books, and your sack laid over your shoulder limply. Your tired eyes stared ahead, seeing everything but seeing nothing.
You felt a harsh bump to your shoulder, sending your sack and books onto the floor. "Shit," you whispered, immediately dropping to your knees. Overwhelmed tears flooded your eyes, on the edge of spilling.
You grunt, hardly able to push yourself up off the floor. It should be illegal to assign so much homework. Exams should be illegal.
It's like professors never want their students to sleep.
Once you finished climbing up the stairs leading to your dorm, - you had almost tipped back at least three times - you used your elbow to push open your door. A small sigh escaping your lips when you toss your things onto your bed.
The dorm was empty; the girls were spending the nice day outside. Your girlfriends - Marlene, and Lily - had told you that they - along with Mary, Alice and Dorcas - were going after classes.
You had probably two hours before they came back to get ready for dinner. That was enough time to get at least two assignments done.
Another sigh, and you were pulling your textbook, and quill towards you. You'll go from smallest to biggest. That way you might be able to get half of the assignments done.
"Stupid OWLS," you grumble.
You were bent over your paper, your quill clutched tightly in your hands. Ink was splotched on your hands, and every once in a while you had to stop writing so that your hand didn't cramp.
You were on your second assignment. Your first one - History of Magic - had taken longer than you had expected. Now you're on Transfiguration. This stupid essay is insane. What the hell is McGonagall thinking?
This is almost as bad as math.
You were so focused on your work, that you didn't notice the door opening.
"Shit, how the hell does that even work?" you mumble. "Transfiguration should not be this hard." You jumped nearly out of your skin when a hand landed on your shoulder, "Holy shit." You spun around, your hand flying to your chest. Lily looked down at you with her hands on her hips, her beautiful red hair pulled up in a tight bun. "Oh my god, don't scare me like that Lil's!"
"This is what you've been doing instead of meeting us at the Great Lake?" she asked, her voice stern.
"I had to study!" you defend yourself. You were in no mood for a punishment just because you didn't want to go outside. Sure, you had said you would meet them and your boyfriends down there, but you had really needed to get these assignments done. "I have like three more essays to do! I couldn't just go outside and ignore them! You know how I am, if I don't do it when I have time to, I won't do it at all. And we have OWLS, and I can't slack–"
"Woah," Marlene interrupted, placing her hands on your shoulders and pulling you back to rest against her chest. "Chill, m'love, you're fine."
You closed your eyes as Marls ran her fingers down your head, petting you. A small sigh left your lips and let yourself relax against her. You didn't pay any attention to anything else.
"What do we have here?" your boyfriend, Sirius Black, said his voice laced with amusement.
Your eyes shot open, and you jolted forward slightly. What is with these assholes scaring you?
In front of you, stood all of your boyfriends, and Lily. Each of them had their hands on their hips, all sporting scolding scowls. (Except for Sirius and James since they could never take anything seriously.)
"Our puppy," started Lily, "has been studying all day when she knows that we have a specific time set for that."
You lightly scoff, "What's wrong with studying?"
"Hey," snapped Remus, your eyes flying over to him, "Watch the attitude."
"What's wrong with it," said Lily, "is that you get overwhelmed with it easily, and don't do as well as usual."
Before you could say anything, Marlene used her grip on you to lock you into place as Lily crawled towards you. Lily grabbed your chin, and forced you to look up at her, "And I think that a pretty puppy like you shouldn't have to think at all."
Magnus was just supposed to go out for a quick run. He thought listening to some music and being out in the fresh air could help get him out of his bad headspace. Oh, he couldn't have been more wrong.
"I will give you 50$ if you pretend to me my boyfriend." The words were out before Magnus could even give them any more thought.
The guy he was talking to looked at him, confused, before he took his AirPods out and that is when Magnus realized he hadn't even heard him. "I'm sorry?" the man asked, panting from his running session.
Magnus almost didn't want to repeat it. He almost wanted to dismiss it and lie and ask what the time was or something like that because this was insane. He couldn't just ask a random guy running in the park to be his fake boyfriend. But then his eyes darted towards the direction of his distress and he saw Camille walking toward them and panicked.
"I know this sounds very weird, but I will give you any amount of money you want if you pretend to be my boyfriend," he said and he realized how desperate that sounded but couldn't bring himself to care in that moment. He would rather sound desperate than let Camille get to him.
The guy's eyes widened as his breathing started settling. "What?" he asked, his voice going up an octave.
Before Magnus could repeat his request, Camille was next to them already. "Hello, Magnus," she said in a sweet tone that Magnus knew was all a load of crap.
He looked away from the guy to look at his ex and as soon as he saw her face all his confidence left him. He was right back in that moment where she broke up with him and told him no one would ever love him, that he was too much and too difficult to love.
"Aw...cat got your tongue?" She asked, her voice grating. "You look just as pathetic as you did a week ago, I guess you haven't moved on..." she added and then her eyes darted to the stranger, as if just noticing he was there.
That is when Magnus found it within himself to answer to answer. "I have," he said, tiltong his head toward the stranger. He couldn't see the man's face but considering the fact he hadn't walked away, Magnus decided to take a chance.
Camille seemed to take in the guy, looking him up and down and laughing. "Him? Please, I am not buying it. He looks confused to be here."
And Magnus felt small in that moment because Camille always knew how to make him feel that way. He was ready to admit his defeat and to just leave when the other guy spoke. "Actually," he said in a serious tone. "I am just confused about where you got the damn audacity to talk to Magnus like that from," he said and that made Magnus turn his face towards him as well. That is when he saw the determined look on the guy's face.
"Who the hell do you think you are?" Camille asked, her sardonic smile gone.
"I am Alec, Magnus’s boyfriend. Who are you?" he said and at that he put am arm around Magnus’s waist protectively.
"I'm Camille, I'm sure Magnus has mentioned me."
Alec looked at her blankly and Magnus couldn't help but snicker at the offended look on Camille's face. "I can't say I've heard of you. Guess we just have more important stuff to do than talk about you," he said non-chalantly and damn he knew this was his fake boyfriend but Magnus was ready to kiss Alec then and this attitude was hot.
So I couldn't get this out of my head since I got the idea for it last night. Full fic coming after my exams 👀
