Flying Low

A magical AU where Law is a raven shapeshifter, but has had his wings torn off, so he is always using a cane to balance himself and he lives in seclusion in the forest. He absolutely doesn't trust, well, anyone. Whether humans or other shapeshifters or any other race, he doesn't approach anyone and does everything he can to not let them approach his home either. But that changes when one day a guy just falls from the sky. It literally falls from the sky. Right in the middle of Law's herb garden and although he really wants to get rid of this invader, he can't get rid of his curiosity because Law's house is in the middle of the forest, far from peaks or mountains, so where the hell is this guy came from and, even better, how did he survive the fall? Curiosity (and his sense of duty as a healer) causes Law to drag the guy inside and nurse him back to health. 'The guy' soon wakes up and gets a name, Luffy, who reveals himself to be a priest of the Sun God's temple, which makes sense to Law, since Luffy's magic seems totally opposite to his, a raven whose species is constantly attributed to the Goddess of Darkness, Nika's enemy. All this, however, does not explain how Luffy fell out of nowhere from the sky and it only gets worse when not even Luffy knows how it happens. Unfortunately for Law, meeting Luffy is a path of no return and in the blink of an eye his isolated and peaceful life is disturbed by the priest who, after returning to full health, becomes a noisy guest in Law's small cabin. Things get weird when Law's wings start to grow back, white instead of black, at the same time that Luffy also starts to change. For worse. His health simply declines and his magic grows and becomes out of control, becoming a danger to everything around him, excluding, in some way, Law. Desperate to understand and help Luffy, Law begins his journey out of seclusion toward the capital's temple, where Luffy is said to serve as a priest. But dragging a time bomb in the shape of a man all the way to the capital is not simple when you are alone and Law has no option but to accept the growing number of people who seem to be drawn into Luffy's orbit and who decide to accompany them on the journey

Zoro as a New Parent

• When Zoro learns about his son, He is both nervous and pleased to start as a father.

• He had experience with children had been a bit limited in truth but he had babysitted children around this young before so he figured the knowledge would be useful.

• A newborn baby was very different from a fully up and mobile one Zoro realized- but was fortunate to be able to experience this.

• It really wasnt-

• "You support the back of his head gently" You instruct as you watch Zoro awkwardly hold his 4 day old son with both hands. Clearly worried about hurting him or doing something wrong

"He's so small-" He whispered softly as if unsure if his voice could wake the child. It was too adorable.

He watched as Koro yawned softly and rubbed his little face with his little hands and snuggled hack for warmth- you practically saw Zoro's heart melt

• Koro is kuckily a very easy baby, maybe it was him being a newborn or just being Zoro's son but he wasn't a difficult boy.

• He rarely cried or fussed, would eat very well and slept often- Very Often.

• Koro and Zoro have a lot of similarities- but the one most prominent was that sleeping one-

• After a few days Zoro would introduce Koro to his crew with your blessing. You agree to two at a time of course and allowed it-

• Since Koro at this point had his eyes open he was looking around everywhere- Clearly wanting to see what was going on at all times.

• Zoro had Luffy and Chopper meet First. Luffy surprised and shocked to see that his First Mate had a son. You finding it really sweet to see the wonderment in the infamous Captian and a talking reindeer.

• "Woah! He looks just like you" Luffy says almost in shock as he holds Koro- The newborn staring confused at the smiling man

•Chopper also holding Koro and giggling excitedly as well as starting to tear up. "H-He's so cute!" Chopper said now fully crying while holding Koro who's bottom lip was starting to quiver as well.

• After this it went Nami and Usopp- Nami of course voicing how weird it was Zoro had a kid while Usopp promoted himself to the baby his status and making up stories to entertain. Koro however seemed to not be amused by any of them.

• Koro was starting to get irritated by being held when Robin and Franky came in. He did not like the cold hands of the robot and just stared at Zoro when Robin held him- Zoro already able to read his sons face which clearly said 'Make them leave me the hell alone-'

• And last was Sanji- Zoro was of course snide and rude to Sanji who happily returned the favor before letting the man hold his son. Much to your surprise however Koro seemed to just be staring hard at Sanji

• "Why is he looking at me that way?" Sanji questioned as Zoro scoffed-

"Cause he's a baby wai-" He sported as he heard a noise- you all did and everyone stared at Koro who was making a series of different cooing noises and squirming around as he stared at Sanji. He didn't seemed distressed at all only curious as he continued his gurgles and coos.

• "...I hate you-" Zoro said as he looked right at a very cocky Sanji, clearly Koro liking Sanji quite a bit.

• After this Zoro stayed in your village for a few weeks, letting his crew go ahead and come back for him later.

• With this Zoro takes time to help you raise your guys son. Allowing time for you to sleep inbetween feedings- helping with diapers and also helping you post partum.

• Truthfully he had been a God-Sent.. Calling doctors for you and talking you through your depressions and anxiety-

• The moment that damn near made you want to kiss him in joy was when he found out you had a clogged milk duct and he came in with a warm container of water with some Epsom salt.

• "You're a life saver-" You say when you see the container- Even though this should hurt your pride your tit hurt way worse-

• Zoro would stay by Koros side fir hours, Holding him and playing with the newborn. However does freak the fuck out when the embelical cord fell off.

• "It just falls off!?" He yells when he sees you set it to the side.

• Zoro adores his son and treats him as the most precious being on earth-

• It couldn't make you happier

Bonus!-

• Zoro will send a letter and a photo of his son to Mihawk. Truthfully he found what he did impulsive and didn't know why he did such a thing-

• When Mihawk gets the letter of the arrival of the new Roronoa he feels both surprised and a sense of pride. Keeping both and even showing Perona who squeals and jumps at seeing the cute baby.

• In less then a week a large crate filled with very expensive baby items arrives along with some stuffed toys that creep the hell out of you.

• The legendary Mihawk will even arrive himself to meet Koro- Zoro surprised that his teacher came and you terrified that a former Warlord was holding your son-

• Mihawk stares at Koro, holding the baby like an expert and silently staring. Koro doing the exact same and even scrunching his eyebrows as if mildly irritated that Mihawk was looking at him that way.

• The Warlord cracks a smile at this and nods in approval. Koro reaching for the Cross necklace to try and chew on which Mihawk easily slips away from the baby. "When you are older-" He stated calmly.

• "You have a strong son, I can see he will grow into someone great" Mihawk says calmly.

• "Sensei... I wanted to name you Godfather of my Son" Zoro said calmly, Mihawk looking surprised by this but nods non the less.

• "I will accept" He stated calmly and smiled softly at the boy. Clearly pleased to have a god-grandson to spoil.

More for the au!

The basics, Gods, Demigods, Devil Fruits, all exist.

World Gov + Marines try and keep the whole concept of gods and demigods under wraps. Because I'm working with "D's" carry divinity. And having a good chunk of them outright despise the government isn't a great look.

Luffy is a god while Garp and Dragon are demigods. Luffy can shift between physical and 'divine' form whereas demigods don't have that ability.

Luffy is the successor/inheritor of his predecessor's will and own divinity. But not through reincarnation necessarily. One in the same but they are very much so different. His devil fruit and promise to Shanks cemented his place as the successor to the sun and freedom. When gods and demigods start out, there isn't a wholly set future for what will they will have, or the ideals they will embody. Luffy has always had his cloudy/intangible form.

Imagine Garp's surprise when his grandson, who was supposed to join him in the marines, is set to embody freedom and the sun. He was pissed for a solid week about that. Garp also had to deal with questioning where Dragon had even gotten Luffy from, he still doesn't know.

Ace and Sabo were very adamant that Luffy not show off his divine form to everyone, especially if he wanted to become a pirate. He can't be a pirate if the government tracks him down and hides him away at the ripe age of like, 8. Also because having a full god is pretty uncommon, Sabo has heard horror story after horror story of what nobles and those in higher society would do to a god. Sabo is the most vocal about Luffy being careful about that.

Luffy meets Koby, and does an absolutely terrible job at keeping his form hidden. It's harder to control which form he's in when he's excited. Koby was a human with no divinity and big dreams that Luffy adored. So, already excited with a new friend, and the two on their way to Shells town, Luffy sneezed and immediately sold himself out. Koby is a terrible liar and so just elects to never speak on this topic ever. If anyone asks why he has so much knowledge on gods, specifically sun gods, he just doesn't answer. Helmeppo thinks it's funny and immediately pieced together why, because Koby cannot keep anything from him. And Garp has to respect how hard that kid is trying to not completely sell out his grandson, even if the brat kind of deserves it for being a pirate.

Luffy is going to be the Pirate King, divine or not. His crew quickly find out about his side quirk/form in varying ways. Zoro woke up one day with a cloudy demon from hell cutting off his airways. Nami was trying to explain clouds to Luffy and that 'no, they cannot just spawn on your person, that's stupid,' and so Luffy shows her that he is in fact, correct.

Usopp got jumpscared early in the morning, before the sun had risen, when Luffy just appeared behind him and asked if he wanted to watch the sunrise. Sanji was cooking dinner and Luffy got so excited he phased out of his physical body.

Chopper found out while asking Luffy if he had any medical conditions he should know about, he thought it was kinda cool that Luffy can change forms. And is only a little jealous that Luffy has a fully human form. Luffy always makes sure to tell Chopper he's exactly who he needs to be.

Robin found out after talking about 'Nika,' who is thought to be long dead, but is not. And is the captain of the crew she is now apart of. Luffy knows the name is important and it has a certain weight when it's said. He physically feels when someone says his name around him. Robin thinks this is very fascinating. (Also can add some context into poneglyphs, that there is a lot to it, even if Robin doesn't yet know and Luffy wasn't alive/doesn't have that knowledge)

Franky was showing off cool shit he could do with his robotic body, and Luffy was like 'me too!!!'

Brook found out when Luffy fell asleep listening to him play a song, and Luffy slipped back into his resting form of cloudiness.

While both forms have their uses and limitations, Luffy is most comfortable in his intangible form, even if his physical one is the default. He cannot access his divine form after a certain point of exhaustion hits.

Im going to end that there before I have an entire novel in this. But that's the general thought throw up I'm smacking down right now.

Sorry if this is incoherent and not easy to understand lol. I will flesh it out more later and when I have actually thought more about it. Might change things later too. Then I'll probably make a good post about it with actual wellish made context and lore.

─Summary: why it's spicy?

─Warnings: none

─ No one really questions your desire to make your taste buds burn, although some of them can't stand spicy food, sometimes they try your favorite foods just to see how much they can handle it.

─ Chopper and Jinbe are definitely not in that boat, the doctor can't stand spicy food because it makes his body overheat and he can't stand the heat either, it's a no-no for him, Jinbe prefers more refreshing things, being a fishman he doesn't like very spicy food although he can tolerate it.

─ Franky and Brook are the ones who can tolerate the most spicy things next to you, although one is a robot and the other a living corpse… you don't consider them real competition.

─ Nami and Robin will prefer to try less spicy things if you offer them, they prefer to watch you win extremely spicy food competitions, it's entertaining for Robin, you can eat things you like and Nami earns money if you win the competition, it's a win-win for all.

─ Usopp and Zoro underestimated you and ended up breathing fire after trying one of your favorite spicy treats, how the hell do you stand the spice? Are you a dragon or something? Usopp really thinks so.

─ Luffy has quite a tolerance for many things, although he is not a big fan of spicy food, he won't mind continuing to steal from your food if he has the opportunity, although if what you are eating is extremely spicy he will reconsider stealing or not.

─ Sanji is your favorite person on the ship, no matter what the food is, be it sweet, salty, sour… he always makes the dish he cooks for you have that spicy touch that you like so much, it doesn't matter if the spiciness doesn't match the food, he will do it and for your palate it will be a culinary marvel.

─ It's not bread so Law doesn't really care that you like making your mouth burn from eating that kind of stuff, as long as you don't hurt your mouth or stomatch, then if necessary he will cut you into pieces so you don't eat.

─ A little curious about your tolerance for spiciness, he will do some tests to see your limits and compare them with Bepo, the poor polar bear does not tolerate spiciness in the slightest, he doesn't even like to be near you when it's time to eat because just looking at your plate makes his eyes burn.

─ However, whenever it's his turn to go shopping and he sees a new spicy snack, Bepo will get it for you because he knows how much you like it.

─ They don't always let you in with spicy condiments to season your dishes because Ikkaku almost made everyone spit fire once by making a mistake and making all portions of food extra spicy.

─ Jean Bart your only real one, he will be the only one who accompanies you and has endurance competitions with you because the others don't dare, Shachi and Penguin tried it once but they ended up with their eyes and lips as if they had been injected with botox very badly.

─ And speaking of these two devils… they will encourage you to try super spicy things, like if they see a food stand on a random island that claims to sell the spiciest hot dogs and they pay for you to eat to see how spicy they are.

─ Probably the crew that best adapts to your taste for spicy, not because they especially like it too, but because they don't give a shit what you put in the kitchen, as long as it's edible.

─ This doesn't mean that everyone will eat that spicy food that you helped prepare, but they will be more tolerable, the positive side is that if they don't like the dish you prepare you will have more portions of food for yourself.

─ Heat your favorite boy, you are the perfect couple for meals, he can handle all kinds of spice perfectly, this boy breathes fire and is a great competitor for you.

─ Unlike Wire, he likes spicy food, but he is not so good at tolerating it, he will accompany you two when you go to eat in case the situation gets complicated (you love spicy food, but you are not made of steel, sometimes you need an emergency exit)

─ Killer at this point thinks that your taste buds don't exist due to the amount of spicy food you eat daily, seriously, he cares about your health, you need to eat other types of things or your taste will become obsolete.

─ On the other side is Kid, who encourages you to try all kinds of spicy garbage he finds out there, so don't be surprised if he ever asks you to open your mouth so he can spray you with pepper spray, this isn't the worst idea that he has had.

It’s all about the maturity!

A wholesome ship of a woman who feels the need to be constantly on edge trying to relax and a man who is a 110% himself from the moment we see him. the joy of frobin is the causal domesticity, in many color spreads and especially post timeskip we can see them casually enjoying the others company.

Remember when Franky was in Chopper's body in Punk Hazard and every time he spoke Robin was like "Franky. Stop talking. Do not talk while you're in Chopper's body."

Imagine a strawhats family brunch where they go to a normal restaurant and show up with like 6 normal people, a tiny raccoon (sorry chopper), a giant robot man, and a skeleton. All the staff have to rush to put a shit ton of tables together.

Nami makes Chopper pretend to be a child so he can order off the kids menu for less money. He agrees to it until they try to make him sit in a high chair and then he gets pissed. He ends up sitting on Zoro’s lap until he picks a fight with Sanji, at which point he moves to Robin’s.

Franky breaks the chair he tries to sit on and ends up having to sit on the floor. He has to explain to the waiters that he only wants cola 3 separate times.

Luffy orders about 20 meals for just himself and they have to bring over another table just to set down all the food.

Zoro argues with the waitstaff about there being a no weapon rule. Robin adds fuel to the fire by claiming that her body is a weapon. The restaurant ends up allowing it.

Sanji tries to keep everyone in line at first and is pretty calm for most of the meal, although he does ask a few too many questions about the recipes for the chef’s liking. He also ends up ordering for several member of the crew (Chopper who can’t decide, Nami who makes him pick what she would like best between the two she’s having trouble deciding between, and Zoro who will only grunt at the waiter in annoyance after they tried to tell him his swords weren’t allowed inside).

Zoro casually tries to get Sanji to fight with him by messing with the food insulting him throughout the meal.

Brook starts playing the restaurants piano, which all the patrons find quite lovely until Franky starts playing guitar with him and then it’s just a touch too loud.

Robin uses her limbs to casually switch around peoples meals so they end up eating something different every bite. She tries to gaslight Ussop that’s she’s not doing anything when he calls her on it.

Towards the end of the meal and tired of not being able to rule Sanji up, Zoro decides to claim he’s done with his food despite there still being a large chunk of rice left. This prompts Sanji to start yelling a him about not leaving any food uneaten and culminates in Sanji trying to force the food down Zoro’s throat.

Chopper panics thinking that Zoro is going to choke and ends up physically separating the two by throwing them across the room from eachother. He gets mad at Zoro when he realizes that he is fine and just wanted to start a fight. Luffy ends up finishing Zoro’s remaining food during the scuffle.

Eventually, they scare away all the other patrons and Nami tells the restaurant owner that they will leave if they pay her the cost of the meal. She ends up leaving with double the amount she came in with.

They are banned from that restaurant and most others in the area after this incident.

-They weren’t sure of what to make of you the first time you all met, after you underestimated the control over your powers and you shot from the sky, landing hard on Sunny in a smoldering pile with swirly eyes as you had knocked yourself silly.

-Chopper had panicked, seeing a child there as you were quickly taken to the infirmary and patched up.

-When you woke up you were in awe to find yourself on a ship in the middle of the ocean with the humans, your eyes were big and sparkly, realizing that these guys were pirates!!

-You introduced yourself as Y/N, child of Zeus! Many of them knew who Zeus was and they were stunned to meet you, before some, Usopp and Nami, panicked about you being there, not wanting to incur Zeus’ wrath.

-You were a little sheepish, telling them that you had been practicing with your powers, lightning abilities just like your dad, but since you were still so young, you had a hard time controlling it, and you had basically shot yourself out of Valhalla and were lucky enough to land with them.

-Luffy was in awe of your tale, he thought it was so cool to have a demi-god on his crew, as he was quick to invite you to join, and much to the shock of the others, you agreed, thinking it was a cool adventure!

-Luffy was the best person for you to practice with, as he was rubber, so he didn’t get hurt if you zapped him, and you were able to learn how to have fun, being a normal child, as your dad wanted you to learn how to become a warrior as soon as possible.

-Nami was another good teacher, using her abilities with her Clima Tact, to show you how to control your powers, starting off small before moving on to bigger displays of power.

-Robin adored you, as you loved learning about history and she was willing to teach you- she had never had such an attentive student before, and you were warm and refreshing.

-Sanji made sure you were never hungry and when you told him you wanted to learn how to cook too, he agreed, willing to teach you (in a nicer way compared to Zeff) and while you did make mistakes, you were a quick learner.

-You adored Chopper, as you had never met a talking reindeer before, and you were stunned to learn that he was a doctor, and you would gush on how, “I’ve never met a talking doctor reindeer before!!” and he would just blush, getting all flustered as he tried to pretend he wasn’t happy.

-Zoro was a good teacher, helping you build your strength and endurance, he was rather harsh, running you ragged almost every day, but you liked it- because you felt yourself getting stronger each day.

-Usopp was a great person for stories, even if they weren’t true, but you loved hearing them and Usopp was the one to teach you how to aim, to use your abilities to hit small targets across the ship. This was pretty hard, as you had gotten frustrated a few times, but Usopp was patient with you, willing to take you step by step until you were getting better at it.

-You loved Franky, he was so cool looking, and you loved learning about his machines and inventions, wanting to learn more and more about them and he couldn’t help but beam, like he was proud of you, for wanting to learn everything you could about robotics, as he claimed you were going to be his apprentice, which made you cheer.

-You had initially been afraid of Brook, as you had never seen a talking skeleton before, but you soon found that he was funny and he was very nice to you, as you were a young child, and he would play his violin or his guitar for you, teaching you all about music.

-Jinbei was one that you had a lot of fun with, as he would jump into the ocean with you, swimming around and teaching you how to swim and showing you the life beneath the waves, which you had never seen before.

-When Zeus sought you out, wondering where you were, he wasn’t prepared to see that you had joined a pirate crew, and he was fully ready to take you back, but he paused, seeing you having fun, even while training, you looked like a normal kid.

-He knew you would live a long life, and if these humans were training you, helping you grow stronger, then he didn’t mind leaving you there so you could grow and learn from them.

-You were unaware of your father’s decision, but at the moment you didn’t care, you were enjoying life and having fun!

did the strawhats find out abt amputee!sanji's prosthetic from the newscoo? or did they just think sanji got injured but was generally whole until sabaody came around? maybe sanji thought they knew and didnt mention it (nobody noticed cause the man always wears long slacks) and luffy followed suit. all comes to a head when during a spar zoro accidentally hits it wrong and it falls off. usopp faints. chopper thinks he has to amputate ("somebody already did that, doc"). franky is mostly offended that sanji didnt ask him to build the prosthetic and proceeds to make a SUUUPER robotic leg. sanji and luffy hold it over zoros head forever.

So Ace and Luffy found out during/after marineford that Sanji lost his leg, he left them without his right leg to go train, comes back with two legs, gotta imagine Luffy is probably confused but kicks his leg lightly and nods. As for the other Strawhats I think the newscoo said outside of Luffy's 3D->2Y picture. So outside of Sanji, Luffy, and Ace I doubt the crew knows and think Sanji has two normal legs.

Love the spar idea where there was no way to block this one particular hit from Zoro so he armaments his prosthetic and it flies off. If it goes into the ocean Luffy yeets Zoro to go get it as Nami and Chopper scream and Sanji is just standing there with one leg. Usopp is laying on the ground and Brook has stopped playing and is also murmuring about Zoro committing a great sin. Franky is rushing to Sanji as Robin points out the lack of blood. When Zoro resurfaces and gets back onto the Sunny with the leg and he looks freaked out too.

Luffy has to be laughing as Sanji just sits on the deck and is trying to dry out the inner socket and moan about the sea water hopefully not rusting his leg. Franky offers to fix it and Sanji takes it up on him and tells Luffy to call Ace. Chopper is freaking out and pulling on Sanji still and crying about his leg and Sanji is like "Well if I can get to the kitchen I can make snacks? Would you like some cotton candy?" Chopper wails that that won't make him happy even though Sanji is pretty sure it would but with how upset it is kind of hard to tell if he is being serious or not. Sanji lets Chopper look him over to calm him down.

When Sanji gets his new leg from Franky he is staring at it as Franky shows him everything it can do and Sanji, who just wants to kick people and have a waterproof/fireproof leg that won't just fall off if it gets hit too hard. Franky is sad to have to redo it again and take out the super modifications to it. Luffy tells Ace and Sabo all about it in Dressrosa and they're laughing their asses off about it. Sanji uses it for making Zoro his pack mule every time they have to reup on supplies. Zoro does not ask for forgiveness and threatens to send it to the depths quite often.

Usopp getting his t-shots officially after Chopper joins the crew, but he's afraid of needles so he asks Nami to hold his hand during them. Luffy wasn't an option because he'd get bored or be annoying about it. Zoro told him to close his eyes if it's so scary, but Nami acquiesced since it's like 10 seconds at the most. HOWEVER, Sanji volunteers himself to hold Usopp's hand because Nami is delicate and what if the brute squeezes her hand too tightly or worse!!! What if she falls in love with that guy instead of Sanji??!? Can't risk it. Sanji holds Usopp's hand during his t-shots and at first Usopp is more nervous of Sanji than the needle because...come on man, Stop Glaring At Him. YOU VOLUNTEERED FOR THIS!

Chopper sometimes takes a little time to prep the needle or mix the formula, so Usopp and Sanji start to talk a bit while they wait before the needle is officially posed and Usopp grips Sanji's hand. Initially Sanji feels vindicated from saving Nami from this fate, but he also doesn't need sore hands so he starts talking to Usopp during the injection part too. Over time, Usopp's eyes go from squeezed shut as tightly as possible until Chopper gives the "okay" to making sure he's only looking at Sanji while they talk.

He gets more relaxed during the shots as a result, but he and Sanji still have to hold hands or else he'll focus on the needle going in and not another point of pressure. Soon Usopp only notices Sanji's hand when the shots are done. Meanwhile, Sanji has become completely comfortable talking with Usopp that he often forgets to let go of Usopp's hand first. Usopp never points this out by the way.

When Sanji finally notices that Usopp seems fine getting his shots, he commends his bravery and says he probably doesn't need a hand holder anymore. Usopp argues the only reason he's so relaxed getting the shots is because he has the hand holder. But he can always ask Nami or Robin or Franky if Sanji's getting bored and- Sanji's brain cuts off the sentence after Robin's name is mentioned. Absolutely not. Sanji will continue to hold Usopp's hand. This is not optional. You can't just trade him out for one of the ladies- or Franky- or that pervert robot like that??? Bored?? Ha! In your dreams long nose. Hey, how long does Usopp need to take these shots anyway? Forever? Idk, man. There has to be a shortcut or something for it right? Anyways, in the meantime, Sanji will continue holding Usopp's hand for every shot.

And then they get separated.

Usopp has to administer the shot himself lest he risk de-transitioning while on an island that wants to eat him alive. So when they all come back and Sanji catches Usopp in the doctor's office administering his own shot, he pauses. Usopp assures Sanji not to worry. That during their time apart he became really brave and needles don't bother him anymore. Sanji's like aaayy that's cool, but if Usopp ever wants to stop taking shots Sanji says he knows someone. Usopp thanks him.

Sanji remains awkwardly standing in the doorway before asking if Usopp needs both hands to do that. Usopp says yeah, one to hold his thigh and the other to hold the syringe. Sanji asks what'll happen if Usopp messes up. They're not on land. The ship sways, and he could hurt himself. Usopp is confused at this point. He'd been giving himself t-shots for two years now, so he clearly knows what he's doing. Sanji is panicking internally because he's realized his fear of Nami falling for that guy was prevented. Instead HE fell for that guy, but there's absolutely no need to get into that right now.

Yet, Usopp is not stupid. He's gotten pretty good at being not stupid for the most part, so he agrees with Sanji that it might be dangerous. Who knows when Usopp will get his sea legs back! Better let Chopper start administering the shots again, but ah, Chopper's hooves are freezing cold. Would Sanji hold his hand to distract him? Sanji puffs up his chest because of course Usopp, stupid long nose, what do you think he's been doing before the whole thing on Sabaody? This is his job until Usopp doesn't need the shots anymore. Whenever that is. Who knows. There's probably no shortcuts they can take. Okay Sanji please stop talking and call for Chopper or something so Usopp can get his shot done. They are holding hands and talking like no time has passed. Sanji is forming a 30 step plan to ask Usopp out. Usopp probably gets annoyed by step 5 and just kisses Sanji full on the mouth before a fight. It's all good.

there's a severe lack of Fobin on this app and I need to fix this wtf

(going through my files of au ideas)

Ah, there we go: suburbs au

Where Robin moves into a sweet little neighborhood and is quickly welcomed by all the neighbors. She's pleasantly surprised because she moved out of a big city where everyone was so cold and hostile.

They make her a welcome party and gets chatting with the local besties and gossip-havers (Usopp and Nami). They introduced themselves - Usopp the graphic designer who married his childhood best friend Kaya and Nami - an accountant.

They also tell her about the residents: Luffy is a firefighter and has two older brothers, Sanji is a hairdresser and a volunteer at the local homeless shelter, Zoro is a policeman who adopted a little boy named Chopper (even though it feels like he's all their kid), Brook is a retired musician who won't tell anyone where he played (though they suspect he was the big shot who faked his death "the king of soul") and then there was Franky - a mechanic, who also came from the big city and now foes house repairs and sometimes pluming.

He seemed familiar to her but she decided to ignore it for now.

Robin lives right across from Franky so she keeps seeing him building various gadgets, little robots and even a whole motorcycle out of scrap metal.

One night there's a storm that breaks a tree and falls on her house. After the insurance company tells her they can't fix it, Nami's takes her in. However, Robin starts noticing little by little the house is getting repaired. She wanted to ask Nami but she was already so busy trying to find a loophole in the insurance contract and arguing with them, that Robin didn't want to bother her.

So she stays up one night to see who it is.

She notices Franky coming home late after a his shift. Which wasn't odd. But what was odd, was that ten minutes later he walked over to her house with his building tools and a bunch of material. She watched him almost all night as he built back up almost one forth of her house and furniture in one go. The before sunrise he went back to his house and came out on his lawn with a cola can to watch the sunrise.

The next night she waits in her house to see if he'll come back again. And he does.

The conversation all leads to one question "why?"

And the answer Franky gives her shocks her a bit. He says that he knows what it's like to lose a home and be left alone. She sees two star-shaped tattoos on his forearms and she remembers where he looked so familiar from.

Turns out he used to lead a gang in the same city as Robin but he got in trouble with the law and his entire "family" was locked up for a few years. Their house was raided and practically demolished. They made a deal with the authorities that if they confess to all the theft and dealings they've been doing, Franky's criminal record would be erased.

She didn't recognize him from there though. He doesn't remember her, but a little after the plea deal was made he walked past her on a bridge and talked her off the ledge. She couldn't see him very well from the pills she had taken and the tears welling up in her eyes, but she clearly remembered his voice and arm tattoos.
