Flying Low
A magical AU where Law is a raven shapeshifter, but has had his wings torn off, so he is always using a cane to balance himself and he lives in seclusion in the forest. He absolutely doesn't trust, well, anyone. Whether humans or other shapeshifters or any other race, he doesn't approach anyone and does everything he can to not let them approach his home either. But that changes when one day a guy just falls from the sky. It literally falls from the sky. Right in the middle of Law's herb garden and although he really wants to get rid of this invader, he can't get rid of his curiosity because Law's house is in the middle of the forest, far from peaks or mountains, so where the hell is this guy came from and, even better, how did he survive the fall? Curiosity (and his sense of duty as a healer) causes Law to drag the guy inside and nurse him back to health. 'The guy' soon wakes up and gets a name, Luffy, who reveals himself to be a priest of the Sun God's temple, which makes sense to Law, since Luffy's magic seems totally opposite to his, a raven whose species is constantly attributed to the Goddess of Darkness, Nika's enemy. All this, however, does not explain how Luffy fell out of nowhere from the sky and it only gets worse when not even Luffy knows how it happens. Unfortunately for Law, meeting Luffy is a path of no return and in the blink of an eye his isolated and peaceful life is disturbed by the priest who, after returning to full health, becomes a noisy guest in Law's small cabin. Things get weird when Law's wings start to grow back, white instead of black, at the same time that Luffy also starts to change. For worse. His health simply declines and his magic grows and becomes out of control, becoming a danger to everything around him, excluding, in some way, Law. Desperate to understand and help Luffy, Law begins his journey out of seclusion toward the capital's temple, where Luffy is said to serve as a priest. But dragging a time bomb in the shape of a man all the way to the capital is not simple when you are alone and Law has no option but to accept the growing number of people who seem to be drawn into Luffy's orbit and who decide to accompany them on the journey

could you write something about the crew saving sanji from captivity, like maybe he was caught by marines or somthing, and they hadnt been feeding him, and the crew gets to cook for sanji for once or something like that?
x
It made sense that they would run into a halfway intelligent Marine grunt sooner or later.
“You don’t fight with your hands much,” he said, opening the file on the table in between them. “Weak arms? Nah, I’ve never heard of a sailor with weak arms. There must be another reason.”
He wasn’t anyone special. Sanji was familiar enough with the uniforms by now to tell at a glance that he wasn’t decorated the way the real heavy hitters were. Chief Petty Officer, maybe. Warrant Officer at best.
Sanji was a Straw Hat. He wasn’t going to break a sweat for anyone less than a Vice-Admiral. He made sure to say as much, to clear up any misunderstandings. The officer didn’t appreciate hearing it for some reason.
He put out a hand without looking up from the file. A guard by the door stepped forward and placed something in his palm.
It was a ball-peen hammer.
“You’re the cook. That’s why you protect your hands. You wouldn’t have a place in that famous crew of yours if you lost those.”
“Well, you’re partly right, at least,” Sanji admitted. “For someone stupid enough to spectacularly piss my captain off, that’s far more than I expected.”
The extraction team arrived in the form of an unhinged skeleton and a six-foot-tall reindeer that tossed his knife-point antlers hard enough to put a decent-sized hole in the doorframe, but only after two fingers were mangled on Sanji’s right hand and one was freshly broken on his left.
The officer whirled around at the sudden appearance of uninvited company—surprised for just a moment, and then gray-faced with fear.
“About time,” Sanji snarked, and wrenched his shackled hands hard enough that the chain links binding him to the floor snapped. He stood, stretched his spine, and flicked a disinterested look at the Marine officer, who went melting towards the back of the room on legs that wobbled like jelly. Disregarding him, Sanji added, “Did Robin have time to get those files she wanted? I stalled for ages.”
For a beat, neither of his nakama answered him. Then Brook’s jaw made a cracking noise like a gunshot, the way it does when he’s grinding his teeth, and Chopper shrieked, “Your hands!!”
Sanji glanced down at them. “Oh, yeah. Our mutual friend over there wasn’t very creative.”
It hurt like a bitch, but it was far from the worst thing he’d ever felt. If it had gone much further, he might have seriously considered deviating from the plan, but a few broken bones? His brothers used to do that just for fun.
Brook tossed his guitar over his shoulder, where it hung against his back by the strap looped across his chest, and withdrew his sword instead.
“I can be very creative,” he said, sing-song.
“We’re leaving!” Chopper proclaimed, and herded Sanji toward the door with his antlers. Sanji went, amused by the pushiness.
It’s much less amusing an hour later, when his fingers are splinted and wrapped carefully, and Chopper tells him in no uncertain terms that he’s banned from work until Chopper’s satisfied with how they’ve healed.
Sanji agrees easily, because Chopper is equal parts adorable and terrifying when it comes to the health and safety of their family. But when he slips into the galley to begin preparing supper, the reindeer is right on his heels, scolding, “Sanji! That’s work!”
“Hardly,” he scoffs. Then, “Wait, are you serious?”
Chopper throws up his little hooves, as exasperated as any healthcare professional four times his age. “Why would I joke? Your bones are broken. Put down that spatula or I’ll scream!”
Sanji puts down the spatula. He’s never felt this wrong-footed before in his life. What does one do in a kitchen they aren’t allowed to cook in? He shifts his weight and looks sideways at the pantry.
“Oh my god,” Nami says. She points at the table. “Sit.”
“This feels kind of absurd,” he says.
“So it’s completely on-brand, then,” Usopp says, frog-marching him to a chair. “Good to know.”
Sanji lets himself be bullied with a scowl, and tucks his hands under the table where they can’t get him into any more trouble. Zoro, from the other side of the table, snorts into his tankard. Carrot drapes herself over Sanji’s shoulders, faux-sympathetic, but her chest rumbles with subvocal animal laughter. Franky and Jimbei are grinning openly.
It’s not funny. It’s time to eat. After all that action, their bodies need to replenish nutrients. They need carbs and proteins. He could at least be making smoothies while everyone argues with him—he can multitask!
Luffy, whose face has been a thundercloud ever since they returned to Sunny, leaving the Marine base actively on fire in their wake, brightens suddenly.
“I got it!” he announces, and that’s his trainwreck tone of voice. The very familiar, always inevitable, ‘you can try to stop me but it’ll just end in tears if you do’ tone of voice. Sanji braces himself, but nothing could have prepared him for Luffy cheerfully declaring, “We’ll make dinner!”
“Uh, no,” Sanji says quickly.
“Captain’s orders,” Robin says peacefully.
She was angry with him before—in that careful, soft-spoken way she gets angry with her nakama that always leaves them feeling lower than dirt—for letting himself get hurt in even this unremarkable capacity. But now she meets his eyes with a smile that only the people aboard this ship are privileged to see, and he fumbles his half of the argument before he even has a chance to make it.
Within that time, half his crew have migrated to the kitchen proper, and Nami is heaving open the huge recipe book that lives in place of pride on the counter.
“Hey, hey, Sanji!” Luffy yells. “What do you want to eat?”
“This is really unnecessary,” he says, shifting to stand. Carrot becomes deadweight on his back, dangling there like the world’s weirdest scarf.
“We’ll survive without five star food for a few days,” Jimbei says dryly. “If I were you, I’d answer their question before they take matters into their own hands and decide for you.”
In the kitchen, things are already rapidly devolving. There’s a lot of clamoring around and shoving of shoulders. This crew would never agree on anything they couldn’t argue about for hours first. Luffy clambers up onto Yamato’s back to get a bird’s-eye view of the recipe book, stretching an arm over Nami’s own shoulder to point out every dish that catches his eye. Yamato is a cheerful, agreeable jungle-gym, not even batting an eye when Luffy’s grip on one of his horns causes his head to tilt slowly to the left.
If Sanji had known letting that measly little officer play his shitty power games would end like this, he would have kicked the creep in the mouth hard enough to shut him up permanently.
He taps his bandaged fingers against his knees, frustrated and restless. Normally his friends’ stubbornness is weaponized against other people. He doesn’t like being on this end and he doesn’t understand why it’s happening.
“They want it to be special for you,” Zoro says suddenly, interjecting for the first time all night with that infallible wisdom he likes to pull out of thin air when it suits him. Then he takes another drink and adds, “God knows why.”
There’s nothing Sanji can do for a moment but stare at him. From the corner of his eye, he can see Robin and Jimbei’s knowing smiles, Franky looking as though he’s about to laugh. Carrot is still purring, tickled pink by the whole thing. All around them, Sunny shifts and groans as she bears them across the sea, and somehow it sounds like she’s in on it, too.
Sanji, who can’t remember the last time anyone cooked for him, refuses to feel touched. Honestly. This isn’t touching, it’s goddamn annoying—but he might as well let them have their fun, right?
“French toast,” he finally says. Not very loud, all things considered. But the anarchy in the kitchen comes to a sudden halt, and Luffy’s smile is bright enough to put that sun god lurking inside him to shame.
“With strawberries and cream,” he says importantly. “I remember! Sanji’s favorite!”
“Oh, that sounds good,” Yamato exclaims, still standing at a weird angle and unbothered by it. Next to him, Brook is imitating the pose, for no immediately apparent reason. “Do we have strawberries?”
“Strawberries!” Chopper yells, in what is either accord or a demand, and Usopp opens the fridge to investigate.
Sanji lets his chin sink into one of his hands, overseeing the chaos from his seat at the table. That itchy, uneasy feeling in his chest settles down. Now he just feels reluctantly fond.
He can’t help thinking about what the officer said to him back on the base.
Sanji is a cook, and he does protect his hands, but that’s the extent of what the self-important stranger got correct. Luffy would drag him back from hell if he died, so the idea of being cut free because his usefulness has expired is outright laughable. Sanji doesn’t need to secure his place here.
The reality is much simpler—providing food for the people that he loves is a privilege, one he doesn’t take lightly. It just honestly hadn’t occurred to him until now that the street goes both ways.
Dinner preparation takes twice as long as it should that night.
Somehow, it tastes twice as sweet.

You know what I need? Strawhats raising a child, could be shippy or not, but I need them finding a baby and Luffy being like "I WANNA KEEP IT! How hard can it be to raise a child?" (Famous last words) This is less about wanting to be a father and more about thinking about this as another great adventure and experience for Luffy (besides if its a situation like finding a baby in a treasure chest they cant exactly leave it... tho I imagine Nami seeing Luffy with a baby in arms and being like "wtf, where did you get that???" Luffy: "I found it in a treasure chest :)" Nami: "WELL PUT IT BACK ITS NOT YOURS!")
Of course raising a baby in a pirate ship is bound to be dangerous, so most of the crew is like "lets find it a good family in the next island" so maybe it's more of a Tokyo Godfathers situation.
Who are the better parents? Who absolutely suck at parenting but want to help regardless? Are any of them like "I absolutely don't want any part in this" but end up being roped in regardless and end up getting attached to the child? Does the child end up being raised by Strawhats or they get them to a nice family somewhere safe?
If you know of any fanfics that are like this (if they're gen/Nakamaship the better) please reccomend them to me I'm in desperate need to see that, child raised by a village trope my beloved
Pffttt a baby should definitely NOT be aboard the Sunny but if it happened I can imagine that yes, Luffy found a baby in a treasure chest and by the time they realized what happened, they were already on the open water headed to the next island.
However, the first thought that came to my head was that Zoro was sleeping while guarding the ship and someone managed to dump the baby onboard. He wakes up and there’s a baby—just under a year old—sitting across from him, fist in their mouth and a note on their forehead that says, “YOUR PROBLEM NOW”. There’s nothing left for him to do other than wait and pray that the kid doesn't start crying or pooping.
The rest of the crew comes back like Uhhhh Zoro???? When did you give birth????? To which he yells that he didn't, you idiots!
Now they don't know what to do because they can't bring a baby on the seas in the New World, but the island they're docked at wasn't very welcoming and likely wouldn't care about an orphaned child.
Luffy makes the decision easily--they'll bring the baby with them and they'll be an honourary Straw Hat! If they get their adventure started now, the baby will be at a huge advantage when they become a pirate when they grow up. Raising a baby must be easy if so many people do it! But it doesn't take long for the others to convince him that keeping a baby abroad for an extended period isn't a good idea, so they decide to keep the baby until they can find them a good home.
Luffy is not so surprisingly great with the kid, although he's not allowed to be left alone with them. The crew freaked out when they found him and the baby asleep on the head of the Sunny. It would've been a sweet scene if they both weren't at risk of falling and drowning to death. If the baby starts crying and Luffy can't get them to stop in 2 seconds, he dumps them off to the nearest crewmate--he usually deals with crying kids by beating them up, but the baby's too young for that. Plus, the noise really hurts his ears!
Nami canonically loves kids and babies!! She doesn’t mind taking care of the baby until they can find somewhere safe for them. Except this baby is getting on her damn nerves because, for some reason, they don’t like Nami. At all. Every time she tries to hold them, they cry bloody murder. To add insult to injury, the baby absolutely loves Zoro, who still wants nothing to do with the baby. But she is nothing if not stubborn, and eventually, she and the baby are thick as thieves.
The baby loves Usopp because he’s so silly! He makes the baby laugh by playing peekaboo and he even whips up little toys for them to play with. He flails dramatically when the baby grabs his nose or pulls his hair, both of them laughing without a care in the world.
The baby is too young to be scared of Brook, so they just laugh as he dances and sings nursery rhymes from all over the four seas. His lullabies are very effective in calming the baby's crying fits or getting them to sleep.
Sanji prefers dealing with children when they’re old enough to speak, but he’s not immune to the effects of an adorable baby. If it’s a girl she gets the absolute princess treatment, complete with baby talk and compliments of how cute she is. A boy baby gets his hair gently ruffled. Either way, Sanji happily admires Robin sitting with a baby in her lap before he’s off to puree some fruits and veggies.
Chopper loves babies and thinks this one is so cute!! But he’s embarrassed by how jealous he is of all the attention the baby is getting. He can’t help it! He’s used to being the one taking naps in Zoro’s lap and being fawned over by Robin. He’s happy to have the baby with them, but he wishes he got some more attention, too.
Jimbei and Franky don’t dislike babies per se, but they’re just so small and fragile compared to them. They mostly watch the other crewmates interact with the baby from the sidelines.
Franky’s nerves aren’t helped as Robin keeps coming up to him while holding the baby and talking about how cute they are and how parenthood is such a privilege, don't you think, Franky? She manages to convince Franky to hold the baby and when he does, he bursts into tears. Overwhelmed, he passes the baby off to the closest person, who happens to be Jimbei, whose eyes also fill with happy tears when the baby snuggles up to him. Both of them stop keeping their distance after that.
Robin reads the baby bedtime stories! But the crew have also walked by and overheard her reading books about death, disease, and war. She speaks to the baby in all of the languages she knows and tells them all the secrets she's learned. It's too bad the baby is too young to retain all that knowledge, but she's more than happy to share anyway.
Zoro doesn't like kids in general, but kids love him, including this baby. The rest of the crew find it hilarious how awkward he is with the baby. You'd think he'd be used to holding a small being considering how often he carries Chopper around, but no, he's hopeless. Zoro is teased relentlessly for the way he talks to the baby. He talks to them like a grown adult and it's both endearing and ridiculous.
Absolutely nobody wants to change dirty diapers. There are physical altercations, manipulation tactics, and an abundance of tricks used as each Straw Hat tries to avoid diaper duty. (Usopp uses dirty diapers as canon fodder and ammo when they run into trouble on the water.)
Most, if not all, of the Straw Hats have mommy and/or daddy issues, so raising this baby gives them all a chance to heal, whether they realize it or not. It also gives the crew an excuse for group cuddles, not that they ever needed it.
The crew have all grown very attached to the baby by the time they reach a safe place with people they trust to raise them. A few crewmates (Usopp, Nami, Robin, Brook) want to keep the baby around--it's too cruel to leave them, now! But Luffy has made his decision. It's too dangerous for the baby out on the seas of the New World. But once they've found the One Piece they'll be back to visit.
Usopp made the baby a teddy bear and dressed it as Luffy, complete with a straw hat. Sewn to the red fabric of the hat is a note written by the crew, a photo of them all, and a piece of Luffy's vivre card. If the baby grows up and ever wants to come sailing with them, all they have to do is ask.
--
AAAHHH this was so fun omg!! I love babies sm and there'd be so many antics if a baby was on the Sunny. I doubt I'd ever write a fic myself though, but I'd be happy to think up more hcs in another ask :)
I don't know of any nakamaship fics like this, so if anyone does please link it in the comments. But! KazimaKuwabara has this FANTASTIC fic feat. the Straw Hats taking care of their de-aged nakama. I've read it so many times, it's great.
Thank you for the ask! Keep em coming y'all, I live for this.

LSL Week Day 1: Food
Sanji takes pride in the food he serves. He knows how precious food is and how a good meal can be the difference between life and death. Not even necessarily from the view of starvation but also from the view of someone caring for another. It’s why he makes the food to his crew’s preferences, because his words are coarse and untrained for friendship or nakamaship or even real, genuine love.
But Sanji knows food, so he cooks. He’ll spend all his time in the galley, only stepping out to get the bitter taste of poisonous smoke in his lungs. He feels like he’s making food for a crew of thirty most of the time, with the way Zoro and Luffy eat, not that he complains, it keeps him busy. Keeps his mind from wandering to a place it doesn’t belong in. Someplace Luffy would try to dig him out of.
Because Luffy cared. He cared in a different way from others in his life. He touches Sanji with kindness, nothing competitive or harsh, just soft kindness that chokes Sanji by drawing the air out of his lungs and makes his brain feel like it’s being dropped into a pool of sparkling water. It feels good, great even! So Sanji thanks him by providing meat seasoned and cooked perfectly to his captain’s liking. So imagine his surprise when he walks into the kitchen to start making lunch after finishing dishes from the morning to find said captain in the galley with a tangerine at the table.
“What are you doing?” Sanji asks as he begins to collect things he needs for lunch.
“You need a snack.” Luffy answers as he grips the fruit a little too hard and some juice drips onto his fingers and the table.
“I appreciate the thought, but I’m getting ready for lunch. If you want a snack I can have one ready in a few minutes.” Sanji bristles as he feels Luffy’s eyes stare at his back. He can feel the annoyance Luffy huffs like a chill in the breeze. Sanji spares a glance at the younger man and gives him a hefty stare down. “What is it?”
“You need a snack.” Luffy says more forcefully. Sanji pauses and turns to properly look at him. Luffy isn’t mad, he is rarely ever mad at his crew, frustrated though he does get frustrated when his crew is being dumb. Although Sanji can’t see why a snack is making him frustrated.
“I’m the cook, my job is to make food for everyone, if I want a snack I can make myself one.” Sanji points out quizzically and that seems to soften Luffy a tad.
“Yeah, but someone should make you a snack.” Luffy argues.
“So you took it upon yourself to steal a tangerine from one of Nami-swan’s trees and peel it so I could have a snack?” Sanji asks and Luffy frowns as he mulls over the words in his head.
“She said I could.” Luffy says.
“I appreciate the sentiment but I can make myself a snack, Luffy.” Sanji shrugs as he goes back to starting lunch.
“How come you don’t let people do nice things for you?” Luffy asks.
“A cook's job is to care for others.” Sanji shrugs.
“But I want to take care of you.” Luffy pouts.
“You’re a captain, they are very similar roles.” Sanji responds.
“No, not like I want to take care of Robin, or Chopper, or Brook or anyone else. I want to give you snacks and help you find the All Blue and all that other stuff.” Luffy says with dejection in his voice. Sanji keeps doing his prep work as mulls over what he wants to say. Luffy wanting to give or make someone snacks was new. Not something he expected to hear from the younger who could eat and never be satiated for long. Sanji grabs the towel from the edge of the sink and wipes his hands and sits across from Luffy.
“Alright, I’ll eat your shitty tangerine.” Sanji says. Luffy smiles and hands him half crushed sections of the fruit to eat. “It means that much to you?” Sanji asks.
“You give me food almost any time I ask and you never ask for anything.” Luffy answers. “It’s okay to want things, to be selfish. Nami says so, so does Robin.”
“Do they now?” Sanji chuckles lightly and Luffy laughs and nods.
“Food is how you show your love, I thought I would give it a try.” Luffy replies as he gives Sanji the last section.
“Are you asking for cooking lessons?” Sanji asks.
“Are you offering?” Luffy shoots back.
“Come on, I’ll show you how to knead bread, I think you’ll like that. We have to wash our hands.” Sanji says as he wipes the table and then goes to the sink. Luffy follows easily. Food is how Sanji shows his love and care, Luffy taking a step to do something new, to give someone as lowly as Sanji food makes the blond’s heart flutter. His captain was always something else, nothing should surprise him anymore, but here Luffy is: kneading dough with utter delight as he smiles and laughs to Sanji.

Rambling about Fairies - Manga Chapter 200
Tumblr media
One thing that's similar between Fairy Tail and One Piece, and a big part about why these two manga do nakamaship so well, is probably the post-battle banquet. While in One Piece the trend is that it gets bigger and bigger, in Fairy Tail it's always similarly wild, and sometimes it's less "yay we made it through hell" and more "oh hey, welcome home". Both are good.
I love the spirit of "let's find any excuse to drink and dance and be idiots!" it's just the spirit of how we can always just forget everything and have fun celebrating the present.
Also, this Raijinshuu reintroduction. I wish we did more. I kinda wonder what would've happened if these three decided to adopt Lisanna into their tribe instead. Sure it's more story coherent that she formed a team with her siblings, but just for narrative advancements it'd be fun because these three are some of the ones we don't see any interactions of them with Lisanna, because they're not in the kid era. Wouldn't it be funny if Mirajane and Elfman, overprotective and all, were like 'how about you go on missions with the raijinshuu from now on? Safer that way. And that's just. A thing from now on. Gives the thunder legion development while giving Lisanna a fun new experience rather than just going off her experiences in Edolas.
Like, would it be funny if Laxus came back and Lisanna was like hah! they bodyguard me now! And laxus, who never really cared that the tribe were technically guards, would just be like didn't you die, and then he would be completely on board with the protect Lisanna agenda. It'd be funny

The strawhats come across the vinsmokes one more time and luffy thinks it's the perfect opportunity to get revenge in sanji's name
Except, while he's fighting the brothers he realizes how broken they all are. It doesn't feel right, they're not fighting to save themselves, they're laughing but they don't seem to be enjoying the fight, they follow what judge screams at them even if it means they'll get in the path of one of luffy's punches
Luffy gets some distance and stops, arms stretched backwards mid attack, and looks at sanji. The blond bites his lips and that's when luffy decides it's time to teach three human killing machines a thing or two about nakamaship
He kicks judge's ass and tosses him in the ocean after that, and tells the three he'll allow them on his ship if they behave
(Reiju gets a loud greeting and overexcited pat on the back from luffy for being a cool sister)
(I can imagine the crew trying to teach them good manners like they'd do with a little child 🤭)

I can't make out my mind- for 1 Lunami has been hinted by Oda in the colors-spreads but then it's known he said there won't be any romance btw the strawhats. That's his no 1 rule.. LIKE ARGH, how am I supposed to feel? I've hopes but also accept that they won't happend *sniff*
*hands you a tissue*
Okay, first of all: Oda never said there won't be romance between the crew. What he said was, in a playful manner, "All the Straw Hats are in love... with adventure!".
And I'm not correcting this to tell you to be hopeful, I'm correcting this because people are misquoting Oda, putting words in his mouth, and that drives me crazy.
Now, about Lunami, if I can give you a tip: don't worry about canon.
Just don't, don't fret about it.
Enjoy the LuNa fanfics and fanarts, daydream about them, and yes go nuts about their interactions and about the color-spreads.
But in the end of the day, none of us knows what goes through Oda's head and what he's planning.
Would it be nice if they're canon? Sure, I'd love it, I do ship them after all. But it's not that important. I'm here for the whole story, not just for this couple.
Stressing over if a ship will be canon or not does nothing, it amounts to nothing, it only gets you stressed and makes the shipping wars worse.
So yeah. Don't lose sleep over that. Enjoy the nakamaship and all the other beautiful aspects One Piece has to offer right now in canon, and just enjoy the ship you love in fanon.
That's my advice.

Baron Omatsuri is such a a good movie, even if the animation was kind of jarring at first, and it made me want to watch nakamaship post-movie fics because wow :)
I've actually watched some clips and the animation seems like something I would like. I don't really know why? I guess it just fits the movie? Idk. And seriously, I am SO watching the movie soon. I am desperate for some angst and character-driven stuff and this thing sounds exactly what I'm looking for.

Going through all my follows rn, what's your favourite character/ship (platonic or otherwise) dynamics?
(also I know I've just randomly shown up in your asks, your time travel au has been an absolute joy to read, keep it up friendo!!!)
Thank you so much :DDD!!! I'm so glad that you've enjoyed reading my time travel au and I super appreciate the ask cause I LOVE TALKING ABOUT MY ONE PIECE OPINIONS >:DDD!!!! I'll put it under read more ouo
Anyways my OTP,,,, is,,, NAKAMASHIP!!!! There's nothing more that I love than the strawhat crew ; - ; I have literally shed tears over all of my strawhats and I love that they all love eachother deeply... On my one piece reread- I made sure to pay extra attention to all the character interactions and jokes. And can I just say, I see so many people talk about how the strawhats barely interact post time skip, or that some characters are basically strangers to each other (I saw someone say this about Franky and Zoro), but THEY DO TALK!!! THEY HAVE SO MANY FUN INTERACTIONS!!!
Oda is SO good at balancing these funny little character moments between important story beats >:O I think Zou in particular had a bunch of nakamaship moments that I really loved. One of my favourite lesser loved dynamics in the crew is usopp and robin (which you would know if you looked at my art of them XD) because they have a bunch of funny bits between them :3
My romantic OTP of all time is ZOLU THOUGH. And I tried really hard to not ship it immediately when i first started reading one piece, because I do this kind of thing alot when I get into media where I latch onto the protag and the guy close to the protag and ship em together??? Like I was so obsessed with JohnDave that DaveKat just hurt me,,, And I liked bakudeku so much that I couldn't get into kiribaku... AND I DIDNT WANT THE TREND TO CONTINUE TO ONE PIECE T - T And it SOMEWHAT did, but it also somewhat didnt. When I first heard Zosan was the most popular ship, like leagues above zolu, I was in physical pain,,, But REMEMBER; nakamaship is my first otp, so I still really enjoyed the idea of zoro and sanji because I enjoy the dynamics between ALL of my strawhats >:(!!!
I'm super duper obsessed with one piece and it sucks that there's all this great fanfiction out there that is effectively barred against me because there's a ship that I don't like >:/ So what I did to become more accepting of Zosan is,,, I drew them making out a ton XD If you look at my early one piece doodle piles, you'll see one of them with a couple of zosan things HAHAHA. Honestly it vaguely worked, but I'm super picky about the zosan fics I read, cause I feel like people can wildly mischaracterize zoro pretty easily.
Anyways I don't think I really answered ur question properly, I really love the king/knight loyalty but also just good bros dynamic that's happening with luffy and zoro :) But in general I just love a good sunshine person/grumpy person ship! (geraskier, bakudeku, megamenace, kagehina, hitomi and shousuke <<< quite upset that the ship sank, Fakir and Ahiru, wrightworth, etc)
Thanks again for the question <3

Luffy’s body doesn’t scar easily. It’s one of the many facets of a frankly unhinged healing factor; his body shuffles micronutrients and vitamins around like a circus clown juggling pins, wounds healing so quickly and completely that there is rarely a trace left behind.
There are, of course, exceptions to every rule. The smiling pencil-mark curve beneath his eye is one of them. The cruel, gaping burn across his chest is another.
Sanji and Chopper have spent hours going over dietary needs and goals for everyone aboard Sunny, not just their captain. But it’s their captain whose food works like a miracle in his stomach.
If Sanji thinks too long and too hard about Totto Land—about Luffy’s trembling, emaciated limbs when he handed over a disgusting, ruined bento, the way his skin plumped up and shone with good health within minutes of a meal—there are very good odds that he’ll spiral into a fit of grief or guilt or panic no matter where he is or what he’s doing at the time. So he tries not to think about it, and instead loads his captain with carbs and protein and fiber at every opportunity instead.
Suffice to say, Luffy’s skin is largely whole and undamaged, only a few faint scars scattered here and there that you wouldn’t notice if you weren’t really looking. His rubber body is a marvel, but it burns like a starving furnace, and sometimes it does him a disservice no one could have possibly seen coming.
“You don’t feel that?” Usopp says with a frown.
“Nuh-uh,” Luffy confirms blithely, watching the feather move back and forth across his arm. “If you pinch me or poke me with something sharp I will, but if it’s soft it’s like it’s not there at all.”
For a moment, everyone sits there and absorbs that information. Sanji can feel it settling over his nakama like a blanket of snow; cold and promising to pack in and be a pain in the ass to shovel through. Sanji has to readjust his understanding of the world, too. It takes him a minute.
The only touches that Luffy feels easily are the ones that hurt. That’s true for everyone, in a sense—but just because a slap might register louder and faster than a gentle touch doesn’t mean the latter doesn’t carry a weight of its own.
Sanji wonders, abruptly, if the last thing Luffy felt from him was the fight they had on Whole Cake when Sanji was desperate to free his captain of his obligations to a pathetic, useless cook—when he did everything in his power to drive him away.
Nami and Brook have joined Usopp in the game of poking Luffy’s arms and legs and squishy sides in the name of proving him wrong, finding a spot where he isn’t so thick-skinned. Brook’s phalanges drumming against his ribs make him giggle a bit, but how much of that is real feeling and how much is simply delight at all the attention and affection pointed his way?
It should be cute, but Sanji can see—and feel—it cutting everyone to the quick. Robin has closed her book, watching the scene without a smile on her face. Franky’s hands are unmoving around the great feathered monstrosity he and Usopp have been building at the table together up until this point, as if he’s forgotten he’s holding tools in the first place.
Enough is enough, Sanji decides, and sets aside his pride along with his bowl of red velvet cupcake batter and maryse spatula, moving around the counter with purpose.
“Got an idea,” he says at length and Nami scoots gamely to the side. Sanji keeps moving before he can get in his own way and takes Luffy’s round face in one work-hardened hand.
Luffy, who has been known to use his actual skull as a battering ram, usually fights with his whole chest and carries most of his injuries there, too. His face, aside from an unfortunate unsupervised incident with a knife when he was little more than a toddler with a highly questionable and often day-drunk role model, is unscarred.
Sanji brushes his thumb against Luffy’s cheek, where the skin lays very thin over sensitive nerve endings. His captain blinks up at him, brown eyes wide and trusting, every bit as if he’s looking at someone who has never hurt him before.
The crew present is watching raptly, their disquiet transforming into absurd, single-minded scrutiny. There’s a reason they’re not only living in the New World but thriving there—they’re good at adapting, at assimilating new information, at smacking the curveballs right out of the park on their second swing.
“Feel that?” Sanji asks.
Luffy tips his head curiously, just enough not to dislodge Sanji’s hand. Perfectly willing to sit still and be held when it’s his cook doing the holding.
“Kinda,” the boy says, the barest hint of a furrow forming between his brows. It’s the beginning of an epic spoiled sulk that everyone who loves him is intimately familiar with—because his nakama belong to him, and so Sanji does, and so his hand on Luffy’s face does, and it is rapidly occurring to Luffy that it’s not fair for all of those things to be true and for him not to be able to feel it.
Sanji can’t help but smile, always equal parts charmed and exasperated by the future king in a pout. He leans in and presses his mouth to the same place his thumb was, kissing the soft cheek firmly. He can almost see it when Luffy zings to attention, his overwhelming focus zeroed into that singular point of contact.
By the time Sanji straightens, Luffy is already beaming ear-to-ear.
“I felt that!”
Sanji returns to his dessert prep, perfectly satisfied with the changed world he leaves in his wake. Chopper is already clambering over the top of the table, scattering the bits and bobs of the engineers' project into an irremediable mess in his haste to bury his favorite human in fuzzy reindeer kisses, and similarly everyone else’s eyes are gleaming with promise.
Luffy’s rubber body is both a wonder and a menace, much like the golden soul it houses. But where it falls short and fails him, his friends will pick up the slack. Luffy is probably going to get his cheeks and forehead pinched and poked a lot more when he’s whining or complaining or elsewise being his annoying, incorrigible self.
But he’s also going to get kissed a lot more there, too.

Helping their s/o with someone uncomfortable (Law)
part 2 of anon’s request for corazon and law reacting to their s/o dealing with unwanted advances part one can be found HERE
gn reader, hurt/comfort, a little heart pirate nakamaship tw: creepy behavior (nothing explicit), implications of slutshaming, violence (to the aggressor), aggressor gets shot by reader if anyone wants me to tag anything else please dm me to lmk word count: 1.4k
Law is vigilant - he always has been, it’s just who he is as a person.
So it doesn’t take long for him to notice that you haven’t been swinging by his office lately to pester him around bedtime or how often you’ve been spacing out lately even when you were alone with him.
Even sleeping in the same bed, with you curled up against him closer than ever, he feels like there’s a unspoken rift. Initially he asks you outright if anything’s been bothering you lately but when you brush it off with a stiff smile Law definitely knows something isn’t right.
He briefly wonders if it’s a medical thing, worrying that it’s something you might feel too ashamed to tell him, a doctor but more importantly your partner, though after some careful consideration he deduces that if it was something like that, then the worst thing he could do was force an answer.
Law stews in his office, near-motionlessly weighing all the possible options and driving himself closer up the wall with every tap of his own pen against the hard wood of his desk.
The brewing storm of his thoughts are interrupted by a soft knock on the door, Shachi hesitantly peeks in to call his captain’s attention. Law arrives at the doorway to his room in an instant, you’re crying into Bepo’s shoulder as the polar bear holds you close and Penguin rubs your back from his crouched position on the floor - the space on your other side clearly left open for him.
He takes it, trying to gleam any information from his fellow founders while you try to compose yourself, Bepo slowly releases you and Law places a hand on your shoulder - you put it around you instead.
Slowly, as you had told the others, you explained that one of the new recruits had been verbally harassing you these past few weeks; your captain’s blood immediately ran cold and you could feel the twitch in his arm when you continued.
It started out as just ‘jokes’, supposedly light-hearted gestures when the two of you were alone that didn’t mean anything but still made you feel uncomfortable so you avoided them - but it didn’t stop there, every other day they’d find some way to corner you and continue these advances long after you’d made it clear that you weren’t interested
You were glad that the boys had made their leave as you begun to shake again recalling the next part, when the new recruit had retorted when you told them you were dating Law that what kind of captain would want a partner who’d just let this happen, that if you truly weren’t interested you’d simply reject them from the start--
He cuts you off before you can relive those horrible memories any further, holding you close against his chest as sobs wrack your entire body.
Law tries to search for the right words, for something to comfort you in your time of need - for all the supposed ‘genius’ he had, Law curses the fact that he keeps drawing blanks, only being able to offer his presence and his arms around you.
As your whimpers die down and the shake in your shoulders slow to only the occasional hiccup or cough every now and again, he pushes your hair out of your face and kisses your forehead, tear-streaked cheeks, then your lips, waiting for permission as you lean in.
He tells you you’ve did nothing wrong, and that he’s sorry for not providing an environment where you’d feel safe enough to tell him when it happened, you immediately sit up to say that there’s no way he could’ve known, and--
Law cups your cheeks- his gaze soft, tender and understanding, and, okay, shit- you’ll concede this time.
You spend the rest of the night with your arms locked around him and Law’s fingers gently combing through your hair; he doesn’t leave your side except for once to bring you a glass of water and a damp towel for your face, and two more times when you need to use the bathroom.
You awaken to your captain’s slumbering face - the compression around your chest from yesterday’s upset hasn’t left just yet, but you certainly feel a lot more at ease after letting it out; Law stirs when your fingers brush against his cheek, smiling at the feeling of day-old stubble already scratching against the pads of your hands.
“Thank you,” You whisper.
Law cracks an eye open to look at you, the other one not quite lifting yet since his pretty lashes are still partially joined together with sleep sand - phenomenal. God, you’re so in love with this dweeb.
He grumbles low, pressing a kiss to your forehead before Law rolls over to clear his throat and you snicker something about morning breath that he doesn’t dignify with a response.
The two of you have a private, quiet breakfast in his room, his free hand resting on your thigh as you simply enjoy your meal in the ambience of the sub. The Tang’s resurfaced at an island to restock, crew members bustling about with the occasional one (usually Penguin), checking in on the Den Den Mushi to run some things over with Law.
Every now and again, you’ll chime in to say hi or Law will ask if you need them to get you anything. Eventually, you cave and ask Shachi to grab you some snacks on the way back. You can see the twitch in his mouth and the look in his eyes that wants to reprimand you in the usual way for bringing too much junk onto the ship, but he refrains.
You’re appreciative of the lengths your partner’s taking to make you comfortable, but you assure Law with a nuzzle into his shoulder that you’re fine. You don’t need to see his face to know the look of disapproval that paints it.
By noon, yesterday’s events are just a faraway glimmer in the back of your mind, an ugly spot from previous tenants that gets covered up by the furniture as new ones move in to cover a home with newer, happier feelings and memories. You’ve spent a wonderful day with your captain - cuddling, studying, letting him geek out about the latest Sora issue while you played with his hair in your lap, brushing your thumb over his earrings as a soft reminder to yourself that he’s let you into his space willingly.
You are safe here.
The peace doesn’t last entirely, though.
It’s dusk when you step out onto the desk for some fresh air, but your breath catches short when you make eye contact with the person that’d made your life hell over the course of three weeks, chained. They snarl at you, but can do nothing more than bark at a distance from Uni’s grip on their shirt collar, no longer wearing Law’s uniform that all crew members don with pride.
They’re worse for wear, it seemed, your nakama must have done a number on them while you were out cold or painting Law’s nails.
Your captain steps out from behind you, protective hand immediately on your shoulder as he explains the situation. The crew had wanted to throw them overboard in an instant, perhaps toss them to the pressures of the deep sea. Law’s plans were much less merciful. But ultimately, everyone decided to leave the decision to you. You were the one enduring it all this time, after all.
You hesitate, center stage, not everyone’s here but you can feel enough of their presences, milling around in the ship’s interior below the nakama you see on deck. You make eye contact with your aggressor once more. They’re staring at Law, petrified, only briefly glancing your way among all the other pirates around them. Bepo in particular looked as if he were on the cusp of going Sulong.
You reminded yourself that there would be no full moon this week and take a deep breath - your choice is made.
You gesture to Clione and he hands you a silencer. Your gun is fixed. You take aim, fire. You feel your partner flinch, still, even with the reduced impact of noise. Your shoulders slump, there’s a lull as the body tips over the railing and falls off. You give the Heart Pirates on deck a sheepish smile and say you’re tired for the night, so you’ll be turning in early; no one questions your decision.
Law follows you back to the room, neither of you say anything - he simply presses a kiss to your forehead and crawls back into bed with you.
