No. 21. — Toilette de dîner en velours gros bleu. Jupe entièrement plate et unie. Corsage plat, à petite pointe devant et derrière, légèrement ouvert en rond et rehaussé de mousseline de soie bleu ciel terminée par un galon de paillettes d'acier bleui. Un collier de perles bleues retenues par des cabochons de saphir encadre le décolleté. Col pailleté avec chou de mousseline de soie bleu ciel 3 boutons fantaisie garnissent le corsage. Manches plates et unies.

No. 21. — Dinner ensemble in large blue velvet. Completely flat and plain skirt. Flat bodice, with a small point at the front and back, slightly open in the round and enhanced with sky blue silk chiffon finished with a braid of blued steel sequins. A necklace of blue pearls held by sapphire cabochons frames the neckline. Sequined collar with sky blue silk chiffon collar. 3 fancy buttons garnish the bodice. Flat, plain sleeves.

Matériaux: 15 mètres velours.

No. 23. — Toilette de jeune femme, en taffetas vert d'eau. Jupe toute plate et sans garniture. Corsage blouse en taffetas, garni d'entre-deux de dentelle blanche reliés par des motifs de jais. Nœud papillon en dentelle blanche. Manches à plis garnies dans le bas d'un parement de dentelle. Ceinture de taffetas avec nœud devant dans lequel on place un boucle byzantine en filigrane d'or avec pierres de couleur.

No. 23. — Young woman's ensemble, in sea green taffeta. Very flat skirt without trim. Taffeta blouse bodice, trimmed with white lace inserts connected by jet motifs. White lace bow tie. Pleated sleeves trimmed at the bottom with a lace trim. Taffeta belt with bow in front in which a Byzantine buckle in gold filigree with colored stones is placed.

Matériaux: 15 mètres taffetas.

Prompt 12 - Fireside

They had their plan. Dumbledore had agreed with it as had Moody. Sirius had run out of the room and refused to talk to any of them. He’d gotten on his motorbike and flown away. Remus said he knew where he’d be and would find him once the meeting was over. 

Regulus had one day to prepare himself. One day to get the story straight. One day to say a proper goodbye. He didn’t expect to get out of this alive. 

When the meeting was over, Dumbledore, Moody and Frank went their separate ways to do whatever it was they did when they were not annoying Regulus, and Remus went to find Sirius. 

James stayed, though. He hadn’t been home all week. Regulus wasn’t sure if he was happy or sad over this. He relished every extra second he got to spend with James, but he also knew how insanely hard it was going to be to say goodbye.

They stood awkwardly in the kitchen. That was how it had been more often than not since Regulus came here. Awkward. And he was fucking sick of it. He wanted just one moment where they weren’t treading on eggshells. 

James cleared his throat readying himself to say something and Regulus strode across the room to him and kissed him. They fit back together as though they’d never been apart. James’s arms wrapped around him, encasing him in warmth. Regulus lifted his arms up around James’s neck and leapt into his arms not breaking the kiss. James moved his hands so he was supporting Regulus’s thighs and walked him out of the kitchen and up into the light airy bedroom. 

Regulus replayed the last night in his mind while he waited by the fireside. Over and over. He wanted to cry at how hard it had been to leave that room, that house. That house where he’d been imprisoned, tortured, healed, loved. He hated being back in Grimmauld Place, he hated that he’d had to leave James again, he hated that he’d hurt and upset Sirius one more and he hated how much his fucking face hurt where Remus had punched him. 

He stared into the flames as he carefully boxed and filed away the memories from that house all but those alone with Moody. Those he kept at the forefront of his mind, ready for the guest that would soon be arriving at his family home. 

He stared into the flames as they turned emerald green and a tall snakelike figure emerged from the fireplace. 

“Why Regulus my dear servant what ever have those damned Phoenix’s done to you?” Lord Voldemort hissed through his lipless mouth.

No. 14. — Robe princesse en drap gros vert. Le côté droit formant revers, est garni de fourrure descendant jusqu'en bas de la jupe. Le côté gauche est garni en diagonale de bandes de même étoffe brodée de soie et de chenille. Boutons de style au corsage avec brandebourgs de ganse verte.

No. 14. — Princess dress in coarse green cloth. The right side, forming a lapel, is trimmed with fur going down to the bottom of the skirt. The left side is trimmed diagonally with strips of the same fabric embroidered with silk and chenille. Stylish buttons on the bodice with green braid frogs.

No. 20. — Reception ensemble, in sky blue liberty satin. Very flat skirt, trimmed with white silk embroidery framed with fur and forming a space between the two. Sky blue silk chiffon bodice trimmed with the same embroidery as the skirt and also trimmed with fur. Pink velvet collar and belt, fully pleated sleeves.

This black and white photograph that is pasted on a card shows African American soldiers sitting on the deck of a ship.  They hold musical instruments like tubas, clarinets, and saxophones.  Several appear to be playing the instruments.  On the left side a few soldiers stand with drums.  A large bass drum gives the name of the regiment.

Great Spotted Kiwi (Apteryx haastii)

Conservation Status- Vulnerable

Habitat- Northern South Island of New Zealand

Size (Weight/Length)- 3 kg; 50 cm

Diet- Insects; Worms; Crayfish

Cool Facts- Kiwi’s got the shortest evolutionary stick. The great spotted kiwi is the largest kiwi species. These flightless birds are nocturnal and spend their days sleeping in burrows. Monogamous pairs are aggressive to other kiwi’s and humans alike, attempting to chase them away from burrows. If you thought human pregnancy was difficult, a female great spotted kiwi would laugh in your face. The egg makes up a fourth of a female’s body weight. The female has to survive on fat reserves as she does not eat the entire five month gestation period. As soon as the egg is laid, the male takes over the incubation process. Once the chick hatches, the parents leave it to fend for itself with no regrets. Invasive predators in a mix with habitat destruction have dropped the great spotted kiwi population by 45% in half a century.
