Commonly asked questions about the channel and its characters

⚜️I want to listen to the channel but I don't know where to start?

I always recommend starting with Beth's playlist, then Claire, Genevieve, Rachelle, Celine then anyone else that catches your eye! Of course, if you want to hear everybody in order so you get the whole plot, check out my Glenwood playlist!

⚜️All your audios are labeled F4A, will you ever make F4M/F4F content?

I want my content to be enjoyed by any and everyone! Making F4A content is the easiest way for me to do that.

⚜️The trauma... The drama... The conflict... Why must you do this?

What good is a story without conflict? I do promise that I'm not just some angst train, I'll always strive to balance out the bad with the good. I'm a sucker for happy endings!

⚜️Who is CW?

CW (Or Camille W. as she is credited in my video descriptions) is my partner and the visual director for the channel! Almost all the character icons were created by her and she frequently does mini channel takeovers in order to share lore and (affectionately) bully me. We've also begun sharing her live reactions to my audios, so you can enjoy some content from her on the channel at well!

⚜️A lot of your listener characters have more than one name, why?

Listeners usually have about two names, one for their romantic partners and the name that others call or refer to them by

Claire's listener: Ranger / Hotshot

Beth's listener: Seer / Beautiful

Genevieve's listener: Knight / Sweetheart

Abby and Rose's shared listener: Open Wielder / Bud / Dear

Rachelle's listener: Mage / Doll

⚜️What does __Insert Listener Character__ look like/dress like/do/ and what's their backstory?

Unless specifically referenced to in the audios for the sake of plot, any information about any listener character is strictly up to your interpretation! I love hearing what you guys think for each of the listeners and all your theories so I wouldn't want to hinder that with one "right" interpretation. I won't be answering any submissions along the lines of this question.

Don't be! I made these social media pages so that I could interact and engage with my audience, so please don't be worried if I see your posts about the channel! I love all of it, truly. ⚜️Can I make fanart/fanfiction/fanedits of your channel?

I'm gonna be honest, I cried when I first got this question. YES!! Please make whatever you like and please share it with me! You are all so creative and wonderful, I want to see your work! If you make any content that is inspired by my work or make anything within the Glenwood universe, I only ask that you credit me in the description.

⚜️Will Celine get her own listener/romantic route?

Celine will not be getting her own listener. She pops up sporadically in other character's playlists as well as the mega episodes where all the characters are bunched up into one audio. She will be interacting with multiple characters and listeners so she'll never be away for too long. She is a married woman and has a loving wife, so there won't be any romancing on Celine's part. That being said, she has two hands, so go wild.

⚜️Where is Glenwood located?

Glenwood is located on the Southern East coast. Not too specific, since I don’t wanna base it off of any real towns!

⚜️I've noticed hints to Abby/Rose/Wielder becoming a canon poly couple, is this true or should I not get my hopes up?

It is canon that the Library Trio will be endgame, we just need to be patient while we get there!

⚜️What is the Endax Chronicles?

The Endax Chronicles will be a prequel series to Glenwood starting in March 2023! It takes place nearly 600 years in the past and will deal with the war between Vampires and Blood Mages. It will be more of a High Fantasy series compared to Glenwood's contemporary style. We've been given hints to this conflict in Rachelle and Celine's audios, but this will reveal the truth.

⚜️Do I need to listen to Endax Chronicles to understand Glenwood or vice versa?

Nope! You can listen to one without needing the other, they should be able to be enjoyed separately.

⚜️Exactly how big do shifters get in their wolf form?

They're considerably bigger than normal wolves, thought not exactly as big as horses. When a shifter is fully transformed, they stand at about the same height as an average person. Certainly not something you want to be on the biting end of, but just about the best cuddle buddy you would ask for.

⚜️Will we ever get Claire/Celine or any other pairing aside from the endgame couples?

Unfortunately not in the canon storyline! But who knows? Some non-canon audios could always be a possibility!

⚜️Will you ever make merch?

Honestly, we haven't seriously considered making merch for the channel since we're still pretty new to the whole content creation business, but if that's something people would want, we can make it a reality!

⚜️Where else can I get your content?

As of right now, I am only on YouTube, Tumblr, Twitter, and Tik Tok with various degrees of activity on each platform. However, later this year we will be launching the CastleAudios Discord server as well as a Patreon!

Happy Audiodrama Sunday everyone (we are ignoring the fact that it isn't Sunday here anymore even though I posted this on twitter hours ago ☠️)!

Spent my weekend selling at a book fair & had some flyers for THP with me and I got to explain to a bunch of people what audio dramas are 👀 maybe there'll be some new fans out there now

Big congrats to The Love Talker for their launch! Listened to the first 2 episodes and I'm truly intrigued. Great characters, strong premise, just make sure to check out the CWs before listening since it can get pretty heavy. If you love TSV's Carpenter as much as I do, I think you'll also appreciate Rin. Very similar no-bullshit vibes.

Bit late, but also a big congrats to @thewyrdsidepodcast for their season finale! I can't wait to know how it all unfolds in the next season! If you're into folk horror and podcast-in-a-podcast formats and spooky folklore investigations absolutely give them a listen!

Also, there's a new Shadows at the Door episode out 👀 this one started out genuinely cute (with a great rap performance by David hehe) and then turned into the squelchiest nightmare you can imagine. Great episode once again 👌

And I finally finished Peadar O'Guilín's Creepycast where he narrates his short stories! (6 months after I started it. I'm so sorry, Peadar) If you like spooky or strange short stories, definitely give it a try! There's some episodes that tend towards dark fairytales and a lot of stuff set in Ireland and I really enjoyed all of them!

I'll take a tiny little break from audio dramas next week to listen to Publisher Rodeo and get really depressed about the publishing industry 🫠 (jokes aside, it's really informative for anyone who wants to be a writer. A bunch of interviews with published writers explaining their journey before and after publication with a focus on the industry itself.)

Hello, Drewds! It’s been a while since Nancy Drew filming wrapped. Am I the only one who couldn’t have imagined being almost two full weeks into January and still not knowing when Season 4 of Nancy Drew was premiering? Me either.

In the meantime, some happenings:

The big headline is of course Kennedy McMann is starring in ABC’s massively popular ‘Good Doctor’ series’ spinoff The Good Lawyer as a young lawyer, Joni DeGroot, with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) - which Kennedy herself suffers from - opposite Felicity Huffman.

In the backdoor pilot airing March 13, we meet the “brilliant, funny and self-aware” young lawyer living with OCD, whose “attention to detail allows her to see cases through a different lens.” Sound familiar? Here’s to hoping Joni likes checked blazers and patterned scarves. If only her law firm also had a quirky tech guy…Congrats, Kennedy!

Speaking of Kennedy, she along with the writers and Riley came on Twitter to commiserate in solidarity with us on the lack of a premiere date, and to confirm that those fake episode titles (e.g. “The Whispers of the Grim” 😂) were bogus.

We also got SEASON 4 EMOJIS, her favorite scenes (in Ep. 3 and 13 after some clarification), and assurance that we will cry hard at the end of the finale.

Besides Cupid’s arrow (hopefully NACE and not some alternate love interests we have to suffer through), looking forward to the Hardy Family Hannukah Dinner, Game Night! (see below), camping out in that cool Airstream, road trip (PLEASE LET IT BE NANCY AND ACE), BABY (Carson and Jean’s perhaps?), curse breaking via a spell book Bess finds perhaps, and FIRE (oh no). Also Nancy’s gonna give some more blood, but we knew that already. I wonder if Ace is the latest blood donor….

Speaking of Game Night, here’s a little seen BTS photo from DP Nick Thomas I never posted from back in late September - Game Night is ON at Icarus Hall, and probably in the same episode with the earth shattering Nace photo Kennedy posted the same week. Does anyone recognize what game they’re going to be playing?

Next, the hit horror film M3GAN with the creepy life sized American Girl doll killer helped the CW pay the bills with a cross promo with ND that gave us a tiny bit of S4 footage.

We got to see Bess performing some kind of ritual? on Nancy with a weird contraption (mask? Ghost goggle type lens?) and Nancy vomiting black ick. They’re doing this in the in the Drew house, which is strange since Nancy seems to have moved into Icarus Hall. Ace’s voiceover where he questions Nancy’s eating habits has been debated to death of whether he’s actually in the scene or if it’s audio from the Tom Swift episode (inconclusive).

Based on Nancy and Nick’s (who’s behind Bess) wardrobe, and Kennedy’s mention of filming an episode with a ‘Burning Bride’ comedy vibe back in an early August podcast, I believe this scene is from Episode 2, and related to the cause of whatever humorous curse is going on in that episode. Anyway, Ew. But still nice to see actual S4 footage.

We also saw some of our actors on much deserved vacations, with Maddison and Leah both enjoying tropical vacations with their bfs (in Mexico and Costa Rica respectively).

This will probably be my last marathon post for a while. I do still owe a breakdown of Riley’s post from the last day of filming in the Claw set with baby shower props (!). Also, I finally reached 100+ notes with a short post of just fantastic cast BTS photos.

I’ve been hard at work on Part 2 of No One Mourns the Wicked, my Secret Sleuth fic with a Season 1 AU where the crew put on a summer stock production of Wicked. It’s almost done and it’s a doozy. I will probably split it into multiple parts to make it easier to consume, as it sort of turned into a multi-chapter extravaganza. Whoops. Speaking of which, I’ll be jumping right back into The Space Between (S4 spec fic) as soon as I’m done - there’s still a lot of insanity planned for the crew post curse breaking. They still have a mystery to solve…

O7/Olivia x reader stuff i writed while i was out of wifi based on a silly 009 AU i made a long time ago

You sat normally at the "chair", yet you felt like you were up. You stared at the "table", yet it slightly itched your eye as if you were staring at the sun itself. You felt hungry staring at whatever was the thing in the "table", but it makes you want you to force your own hungry to vanish. After all, was... Whatever this is, food? It smelled like it, like a turkey and... Some grape juice at the side? Yet, even if the turkey look like what its supposed to be sometimes it just changes. The shapes is the same but yet it changes it's image, sometimes the face of a cat, other times a human heart bleeding, and then a dice, finally a normal turkey, and then it changes again and again.

You wanted to scratch your face and feet but your body felt paralyzed, yet, your hands trembled at the table. And then, you looked at the gigantic shape at your front. Olivia?

It didn't looked like Olivia, actually it looked like a shadown, and the only thing who isn't a deep dark, was her face, her green face. It was smirking, looking at your existence, as if it was some type of fun toy.

"Go on" Her voice appeared, it was huge, as if her presence is everywhere, almost like a audio from a cinema "Eat it. I know very well you deserve it"

For some whatever reason, when you looked back at the "turkey", you felt the urge to puke, your stomach didn't felt well, and you entirely wasn't well either. "Olivia" noticed it.

Her smile slowly faded, while staring at your sick state. She felt disappointed, no no, this wasn't supposed to happen...

"Oh dear..." Her voice echoed "I guess humans can't be at this layer of the existence. Poor, poor you. Please, do forgive me, casanova"

You would even question the context of this entire scenario, but your questions got even bigger when you blinked your eyes to see yourself in a fancy restaurant, a well made turkey in your front and grape juice at the side of the table.

Your sick state disappeared like a leaf in the wind. You looked around, checking if you weren't insane, but you didn't even noticed the ginger haired woman in your front.

"What's the matter, Y/N?" The woman questioned with a smug face. The lady had human details unlike the thing you just saw, human hands, human nose, human eyes, long ginger hair and very, very dark eyes without any sight of light. "Go on dear, you were hungry, weren't you? I prepared all this for you only"

You could and should question everything right now, but your stomach commanded to use the mouth to eat instead.

You could eat a human right now.
