ACE in Nancy Drew S04E07: The Reaping of Hollow Oak

the way ace is searching her face at the lover's vigil because he does not understand any of what's happening because one minute this woman (the love of his life, mind you) is telling him she does not love him and does not share his feelings which okay it's fine it happens but then!!! he is alone with her for one fucking minute and he feels something there and he knows that that kind of something cannot possibly be platonic at all and god you can feel how confused he is and that's why he stands there and she closes up the space because my boy is afraid of doing anything wrong because he doesn't want to loose her friendship and when she tells him it's her fault and he can't even formulate an actual response because!! confused as fuck!! poor baby.

and then (yes i'm still going strong) the final scene he has HAD IT and you can tell my boy RAN to her office because he is out of breath when he gets there (and that's such a sweet little detail to add) and he confronts her because no Nancy you are not lying to him because he knows you better than anyone and guess what he knows your fucking handwriting too and then to test out his theory he leans into her and bam the fucking flashlight breaks and oh it's even more sad now because knowing you can't be with the one you love because they don't love you is one thing but knowing you can't because of some higher force (let's call the curse that) it's a whole other thing and yes bring me Ace trying to figure this curse out and bring me A LOT MORE of these almost kisses and heavily charged moments that only these two can give me because it is going to be fucking amazing. this season is definitely going to off me.

tldr.: chemistry lessons going strong for these two and i am incapable of dealing with it

It's so funny to me that both Ace and Nancy picked people to "fall" for that are absolutely not long-term material. And it's immediate too.

Our love can't happen because of a stupid, deadly curse Nancy's relative put on them, so who should we move on to? Supernatural individuals who are going to die or move on anyway.

They're gluttons for heartache, seriously.

I also think, subconsciously, they're punishing themselves for not doing better at defeating the curse because they could have easily gone their friends' route.

George, Ned, and Bess are all dating normal people (with no suspicious background), and it's healthy and stable. Why can't these two?

Because they don't want to. They're still holding out hope for each other whether they want to admit it or not.

so tell me how am I supposed to hear Ace say "I'm a hacker. I get it done with my fingers." while looking like that in that blue shirt with that earring and then be normal after???

Okay so I usually don't have theories, but this time I do.

I think Tristan will consume all the sins of the past 200 years and die.

Chief lovette will arrest Kelly for endangering the community.

Bess will get the historical society back. Once everything that Kelly has done comes to light.

George will move to northern Seattle to study law and after completing it, she will come back to HB and take over Carson's practice.

Nick will get a vacation and then he will come back to the community.

Carson will have the baby, and a second chance at fatherhood.

Ryan will stay in town and be close to the new family he has created.

For Ace I think one possible ending is he becomes the chief coroner and takes over the morgue after Connor retires.

I feel that the last episode is going to be rushed. But they are going to try and resolve everything quickly.

As for Nancy and Ace I have no clue, what is going to happen to them. With the way writers are going, I am super confused as to what their ending could possibly be.

So this is all the possible things I can think of..... I just want nace to be happy in the end.

As someone who binged season 3 in 3 days to be ready for season 4 I need my man Ace to catch a break. It's becoming ridiculous. His life is like disaster after disaster sprinkled with jail time.

Also I need nace to take half the season to break the curse and get together and the other half to be the greatest thing about this season. We've suffered enough! No relationship drama after getting together. I will allow 1 episode of ajustment.

Not to complain, but Nancy Drew went on an indefinite hiatus 4 months ago and I still see Ace slander everyday. Being an Ace Hardy Stan first and a Human Second is tough work.

"how could you try to change me like that" hits hard when we know Ace never saw himself worthy of Nancy and thought he had to change his own life to have a chance to be with her (getting a job at the morgue, getting an apartment)

i would love it if in the last episode they confirm ace's birth name as Joe Hardy because what are they gonna do about it? it's the last episode and the show is over fuck them legal rights ✌️

If we finally find out Ace’s last name this season and it’s not Hardy I’m gonna riot
