i use paint.net and my mouse! my brushes are just the pencil tool and like a 10px aliased paintbrush tool, usually around 70/255 opacity.

for my textures, it's usually just some texture i found either on twitter or google images on a multiply/additive layer.

A friend of mine has played through CHRYSALIS and cited multiple instances of using mechanics/ideas that are evidently from NEW (initiating combat with the action key/a timer after escaping from battles (foes become transparent and spin, too)/boss battle start graphic that appears very similar to NEW's/etc), but I'm not cited as an inspiration for such. It's flattering that you enjoy my works so much! I kindly ask to be credited for inspiration as these ideas don't come from thin air.

gotcha! entirely my bad for blanking on that -- i made the demo credits in like 15 minutes after pulling an all-nighter, so i figured there was something i missed. i'll have a rectified version up on the itch.io page ASAP!
