It’s been a busy few months for me, but I’m finally feeling in a good place to start doing these again! Note that I only accept payment through PayPal at the moment, and my prices are in USD.

I offer characters illustrations in four styles and three sizes. The images above are not the only possibilities of how a commission could be inked or rendered, as I’m open to using different brushes or techniques on request. If there’s a particular piece of mine you like the style of, let me know and I can refer you to the pricing that applies.
OPTIONS AND RATES
Sketch: a rough sketch with a textured or untextured brush. Sketch commissions will include an under-sketch to determine pose and composition. Some of these prices are intended mostly for inclusion as part of a character sheet. I will add base colors to a sketch for double the original price.
Head/Bust: $5 ($10 with color)
Half Body: $10 ($20 with color)
Full Body: $15 ($30 with color)
Style A: Thick or medium lines with basic colors underneath. Includes simple details and gradients, but not full shading.

Chibis: I've finally found a style I like for drawing chibi characters, so I'll be including this as a new commission option! Chibis will all be done in the same style, with thick lines and basic coloring.

Character Sheet: A series of drawings of a single character, provided they are commissioned at the same time, will cost 10% less than the sum of all components. This includes characters dressed in different outfits, but normal rates apply to a commission of multiple distinct characters.
Complex Design: Since the level of the detail of a design will impact the time it takes me to draw, I am now including an additional charge of 5-10% of the original cost for especially complex designs (very detailed clothing, elaborate anatomy, complicated color/shading situations). As complexity may vary, the additional cost will vary as well (although it literally can't exceed $10 for a single drawing based on my current prices). I appreciate it if clients are understanding when I decide a drawing will cost extra, because this charge helps ensure I am earning a decent rate for my time.
PAYMENT PROCESS
As I mentioned above, I accept payment through PayPal in USD. You can send money directly to my account, @viciousmocked, or if it’s more convenient for you/you would like a more specific record of the transaction, I can also send an invoice directly to your PayPal account.
For commissions of $30 or more, I require at least 50% of the cost to be paid upfront (although clients are welcome to pay more than that, or pay in full upfront). The remaining cost can be paid upon completion, and may be paid in installments if necessary. Bear in mind that if you fail to fully pay for a commission, you cannot purchase another until you have done so, and I may be hesitant to accept a commission if you are unreliable with payment.
I always welcome tips! If you're able and willing to toss me a little extra on a comm, I greatly appreciate it (but no stress if you can't--I don't expect to be paid any more than the agreed upon price, anything extra is up to you).

here' a comprehensive list as to every problem I have with the current *unecessary characters known as 'Glitz and Glam'
Do they expand the story/worldbuilding in any meaningful way? Do they explore a new hidden dynamic/past conjunction with a differing character and is that explored meaningfully? What was the point of having them animated when Mammon can portray the same level of humiliation/degrading/on stage lack of positive reinforcements. 😐
I'm so sorry but I view these characters as necessary garbage that caused some animators arthritis via too many patterns, not enough screen time to have meat and potatoes worth of dialogue, or really any pretense within the story whatsoever and yes this extends towards every female character on screen but let's not worry about that !!! Even if they are IMPLIED to be from the ring of envy-a color or ring we haven't seen nor meaningfully conveyed to the audience that it even is possible to go in/exists- it isn't conveyed to the audience well enough besides the visual implication of colors???? Instead of having shitty b-plots that go nowhere via Stolas and Blitz goofing off in seeing stars, Moxxie and Millie getting C-plots for no reason, or loona getting a rabies shot- all of that time could have been exploring hell, going to different rings, focusing on other characters besides the main 5, literally I would prefer a quiet episode like BoJack Horsemans 'Fish out of Water'where we can actually see the personalities of the main characters be appreciated and shown to us but that's never gonna happen :/
What I've been worried about is not even the on screen racism/out of touch 'rap/hip-hop parody' leaves a terrible taste in my mouth, if that isn't enough then the sexualization/implication of an incest type dynamic and nothing else besides fetish bait with these characters constantly grabbing one another and not really acting like siblings moreso someone who has never had siblings attempting to write sibling banter and failing terribly :/

synopsis: one date with abby for each letter of the alphabet, filled with pure fluff and drabbles about each one.
a/n: this has been so much fun to write omg, but it’s taken a lotttt longer than i’d expected, so i’m posting part one now while i continue to write part two. this part contains letters A-L !!! i hope everyone likes it :-)
A = arcade
abby isn’t much of a video game / arcade game person, but once she gets into it, she gets into it. she can’t even decide which machine to go to first; she wants to try everything. you can’t help but giggle as you watch her excitedly bounce from game to game, winning a surprisingly large amount of tickets. some friendly competition arises between the two of you, as she -of course- wants to win, but she’d never let that cause her to act mean to you in any way. after testing out each game, she decides that her favorite is the boxing one, the one where you simply punch the machine to see who can hit it the hardest. she plays this one over and over again, loving to impress you with her strength. after combining all of you tickets, she lets you pick out whichever shitty arcade prizes you want, her face lighting up as she watches you pick out different types of candy and plushies.
B = beach
abby simply doesn’t understand why you’re packing so much in your bag for just a simple day trip to the beach, but she doesn’t complain. arriving at the sandy beach, you can’t help but stare at your beautiful girlfriend, dressed in a tight white tank top and swimming trunks. her hair is tied up loosely in her signature braid, blowing carelessly in the wind. your day on the beach begins! abby ends up being glad that you overpacked, and she happily uses up the sunscreen you brought. even still, the sun tints her cheeks a soft pink color, making her freckles stand out even more. you kiss each one of them before carefully rubbing another blob of sunscreen onto her face. abby prefers to stay in the sand under the umbrella instead of going into the water, but she gladly inspects all the seashells you show her, marveling over your eye for finding the best ones. you stay at the beach all day, soaking up the warmth and the salt air. at the end of the day, you sit together on the blanket, sandy legs intertwined as you watch the sun set over the ocean.
C = camping
abby is a WHORE for camping. she eats up every minute of it, loving the outdoor time and a chance to show off her strength while also spending quality time with the love of her life. she makes sure to do everything for you; carrying all the equipment, setting up the tent, starting the fire… absolutely everything. even with your rebuttal, it’s always, “relax, baby. i’ve got this.” she’s quick to comfort you if you express any fears of being in the middle of the woods at night or getting eaten alive by a bear, and she holds you close to her as the sun goes down. the two of you sit on the ground by the fire and make s’mores, and abby keeps giggling about how sticky her hands are getting from the marshmallows. once the nighttime air becomes cooler, she wraps her jacket around you, making sure you never become cold. you stay up all night with her by the fire, listening to her corny jokes, having deep conversations about the world, and stuffing yourselves full with s’mores. when you finally decide to go to sleep, she pulls you into her sleeping bag, insisting that it’s simply “to keep warm.” she holds you tight as you drift off to sleep, wrapped in her strong arms and lulled to sleep by the gentle beating of her heart and the crickets chirping outside the tent.
D = dinner and dessert
after a loooong day of working, abby wants to treat you to a nice little surprise. she watches as you get all dolled up, literal heart eyes as you apply makeup and style your hair. once you’re both ready, she takes you to a fancy dinner at your favorite restaurant. “pick out whatever you want,” she tells you. you glance at the menu, not wanting to spend her money. “are you sure?” “you deserve it. you spoil me so much, let me do the same now.” she insists. you order your favorite food, and you enjoy your meal together in the romantic candlelight. it takes you forever to finish your meal since the two of you can’t stop talking, discussing things going on in your lives. after dinner, she takes you out for dessert, bringing you to an adorable cafe with so many options to choose from. abby orders a coffee and a slice of cake, and you get your favorite sweet treat. she gushes over how beautiful you look and won’t stop staring at you to eat her dessert. finally, you both finish, and abby insists on order another slice of cake togo so she can eat it later.
E = escape room
abby is so. good. at escape rooms. she’s incredibly smart and always solves them so quickly, but she pretends to be confused just so she can have more time with you on the date. “yeah, i really have no idea what to do here,” she’ll say, meanwhile she’s already two steps ahead of you. still, she loves watching you figure it out, the way your brow furrows as you think and the way you talk out your thoughts as they come to you. of course, there’s been a few instances where the two of you have gotten in trouble at an escape room for making out when you were supposed to be solving the puzzle, which you both laugh about any time you go back to one.
F = fair
abby is pretty nervous about a fair date. there’s huge crowds, long lines, and you can’t forget about her fear of heights. she absolutely refuses to go on any rides that leave the ground, but she’s more than happy to play rigged carnival games with you and try all the different types of fair food. you beg her to ride the ferris wheel with you so you can kiss her at the top of it, but she won’t give in. her compromise is to give you as many kisses as you want - as long as her feet don’t leave the ground. of course, you take her up on this, smothering her with kisses any chance you can get. she blushes as this draws the eye of a few people, but neither of you really care. abby is somehow a master at the fair games, especially the darts or shooting ones. she has no use for any of the prizes, so she gives them all to you. by the end of the day, your stomachs are full from excessive amounts of fried food, and abby’s hands are full of huge plushies that she won for you. “that wasn’t horrible, hmm?” you tease her. “absolutely terrible,” she replies sarcastically, earning a kiss on her nose before you leave the fair.
G = gym
it’s no secret that abby loves the gym. she’s so happy that you finally agreed to go with her, and she gets you the cutest athletic set to wear. you have no idea what half the machines in the gym are, but abby quickly gets you accustomed to everything. you end up having a pretty good time, racing abby for who can run the fastest mile (she wins. obviously) and who can lift the heaviest weights (again, she wins) the exercise is done in a fun way, and abby is soooo supportive. “hell yeah!” she’ll exclaim after you complete and exercise, and she makes sure to reward you with tons of kisses and praise. she’s become your own personal cheerleader, and you return the favor as she works out. you can’t help but stare at her muscles as she flexes them, earning playful smirks from your girl while she continues to show off her skills.
H = horror movies
abby looooves watching horror movies with you. not so much for the actual movie aspect, but mainly just because she loves to hold you during the really scary parts and run her hands through your hair as you bury your face into her chest. before the movie, she insists on preparing a plethora of snacks, because “that’s just part of the movie watching experience.” you finally get everything ready and you curl up in bed with abby, flicking off the lights and starting the movie. she pretends to not be scared, but you still catch her flinching at the jump scares and you can feel her heart beating faster. you snuggle close to her, loving the feeling of her protective arms around you as the movie goes on. you absentmindedly trace over her skin with your fingers while you watch, and abby occasionally leans down to kiss the top of your head. halfway through, the two of you become way more interested in making out than watching the movie, which leads to the entire last half of the movie being forgotten. as the credits begin to roll, abby pulls away from your lips, leaning over to check the time. “over already?” she grins, reconnecting her lips with yours once more.

after finding an old karaoke disc stored away in an abandoned building, abby is insistent upon trying it out with you. you’re pretty embarrassed to sing in front of her, but abby promises you that she won’t judge you. after lots of begging, you give in, and abby pops the dvd into the player and sits you down next to her on the couch. she’s gathered two hairbrushes to use as microphones, persistent on the idea that this has to be “as realistic as possible.” however, as soon as the dvd starts playing, you know you’re in for a mess. all of the songs are ancient, and you have no idea how any of them sound. this results in you and abby guessing the melodies, singing painfully out of tune while making up how you think the song would go. “ooh, i got this one!” she exclaims before breaking into the chorus of one song, tripping over her words and laughing more than actually singing. “yeah, you really do,” you tease her, even though you’re no better. all of your fears about singing in front of abby are gone, replaced by the sheer happiness of the two of you laughing and playing around together. even though neither of you know any of the old songs, you still play the dvd until its very end, dramatically improving to all the songs. by the time it’s done, you’re both sore from smiling so hard and worn out from all the laughing.

abby looooves reading. huge book nerd. she flies through novels, always wanting to talk to you about what she just read. one day, she takes you with her to the library to pick out some new books. as soon as you enter the building, she’s off, on her way to find her newest selection. you follow cluelessly behind her, pointing out books with interesting covers, or marveling over how long some of them are. “this one is so good,” she’ll say to you, pointing out a book on the shelf that you’re passing. you pick up a few books, reading the synopsis and flipping through the pages. abby continues to wind through the shelves, curiously hunting for a new book. after searching the entire library, her hands are full of books of different lengths. “okay, which one should i get?” she asks you. you look through each one, wanting to make the best decision. finally, you’ve made your pick, and abby heads to the counter to check it out. you follow behind her, gazing at your beautiful girlfriend. she looks so happy, so excited. she hasn’t stopped smiling since you set foot in the building, and you just love watching her do things that she loves.

A/N: Request from an Anon! I wear glasses myself so this gave me a reason to go on Warby Parker's site to get some inspiration for frames. Also having your glasses fog up when you talk to someone is the most embarrassing and obnoxious thing I've ever had happen to me with glasses.

One of Buggy’s favorite things about you was the fact that you wore glasses. He knew it was something that some people were embarrassed by, not wanting something on their face that would draw attention to them (a topic he knew a lot about), but you didn’t care. One thing he loved was the fact that you didn’t have one pair of glasses, you actually had seven pairs, all different colors and styles depending on your mood and how you were feeling that day.
Your thick black rimmed ones were the ones you did wear the most when you were working. He invited you onto the crew to do carpentry, and while he knew you wore those black rimmed glasses the most, he often saw you working in a pair of safety glasses that protected your eyes from splinters and other dangerous things. Your regular pair would be kept in a case for safety and in your tool box, away from curious pirate captains who just wanted to try them on and see how they felt on his face with his nose.
When you had down time you loved cooking and baking, recipe books stacked everywhere while you stumbled about the kitchen. You had a pair of thin frames in rose gold that when you cooked they would sit on the edge of your nose so you could see over the top of them while you read the recipes. Buggy saw that once and was confused. Didn’t you need them to see? Why did it look like you weren’t using them?
“I’m nearsighted, Captain.” You told him after he called you out on it. “I can’t see things far away but up close I’m fine.”
“So why do you wear them all the time then?” He asked as he looked over your shoulder to see what you were making. It looked like chocolate frosting. Without warning, he reached down and dipped his finger into the bowl, scooping up some to pop into his mouth. “Betcha didn’t see that comin’ and it was right in front of you.”
You grinned at him and pointed to a small bowl on the counter. “Maybe you need glasses. I set that bowl aside for sneaky pirates looking to taste test.”
Well, he didn’t like being called sneaky or you insinuating he couldn’t see, so he poked your cheek gently with his chocolatey finger before grabbing the small bowl and retreating to the table, leaving you to bake in peace for a little bit.
And it was always a nice little surprise when he got to see what pair you chose for the day. Sometimes he tried guessing before he saw you in the morning, wondering if you’d wear green frames or maybe those blue frames that matched his hair color. You had another pair of wired rim glasses in black, but those were probably his least favorite of the bunch because he didn’t think they were flashy enough for you, and when you took them off your face when you did some tasks, he wondered if he could hide them away so you would go get a different pair to put on.
He actually attempted it once when you set your glasses on your tool box, but you caught him so he pretended he was cleaning the lenses for you. While you appreciated the gesture, his dirty shirt just left smudge marks all over the lenses. He didn’t try again after that.
The cat-eyed frames were a shape he was definitely intrigued by, but when he compared them to Richie’s eyes, he wasn’t sure which was correct (they looked nothing like the lion’s large eyes). He liked them on you when you would dress up, like when he took you out drinking one night and your cheeks were pink from the alcohol, and he definitely noticed how your lenses fogged up when you were talking to him, asking questions and getting to know your captain. They were a pair that when he knocked them off your face when he kissed you, he wasn’t sorry if they got a little crooked.
However, one of his favorite things was when the two of you would be in bed and relaxing. Buggy would be laying across the bed, using your lap as a pillow while you read a book and played with his hair, your glasses sitting on top of your head and pushing your hair back out of your face. It was something simple, not very flashy, and he liked to see it because he thought maybe you felt safe enough to do it around him.
The rest of the crew rarely saw you without glasses on your face, but he was blessed with it, that you trusted him to keep your frames safe, like when you’d fall asleep wearing them after a long day, he’d remove them from your face and set them aside with the lenses up, knowing they could be scratched if he wasn’t careful. Or how you’d hand them to him to set aside before you’d start making out with him on his throne or in bed or anywhere where he could use his Chop Chop ability to get them out of harm’s way when you’d start kissing him.
And once you showed him how to properly clean the lenses, he would do it in the morning for you after you picked out the ones you would wear for the day. It was a sweet gesture, one you weren’t expecting, but you appreciated it.
It also took a few months before he felt brave to ask that one simple question of, “Can I try a pair on? I want to see what they look like on my face.”
He thought maybe you were insulted by the way you looked at him, but then you bounced off the bed to where you kept them, bringing six pairs back for him to choose from. Honestly, you were waiting for him to ask, and you appreciated that he didn’t just take them off your face to see, though there were times it was obvious he wanted to with the way he’d reach up to touch your face, only to pull his hand back at the last second.
“Pick one!” You said as you set them down in front of him. “Or do you want to try the ones I’m wearing now?”
“Eager to see me wear’em, aren’t you?” He grinned as he picked up the blue pair. You took them out of his hands, carefully unfolding the arms of the frames before placing them on his face. You were mindful of his nose, making sure the bridge didn’t bump it, pleased that they seemed to sit just fine. “Holy shit, this is how you see the world? It’s…weird.”
“Well, they will be weird for you because they are made for my eyes, not yours.” You chuckled as you leaned over to adjust them on his face just a bit. “Don’t look through them for too long or you may get a headache, Buggy.”
He squinted at you through the lenses for a moment, trying to get you into focus, but it was no use. You appeared distorted to him as he looked through them, but he didn’t mind because when he pushed the frames down a bit to look over the top of them as he had seen you do many times, he was surprised by how you were looking at him.
It was the same way you looked at him every time you started to take your clothes off, and well, this time was no different, except you were removing the glasses from his face to keep them safe, setting them aside with the rest before you kissed him.
“Maybe we see about getting you a pair, Buggy.” You murmured against his lips as you started to unbutton his shirt. He fumbled with your shirt, cursing that you wore a pullover top today instead of something with buttons. He didn’t want to stop kissing you. “A pair with fake lenses.”
“They make those?” Was his muffled response as you finally slipped your shirt off, tossing it aside. “Won’t it be weird?”
“It’s our little secret.” You promised him as you started to take your glasses off, but he stopped you, pushing your hands away from your face.
“No, no, leave them on.” He told you with a smirk. “Need to be sure you’ll see everything I’m gonna do to ya, y’know.”

On sock puppets, pen names and Freydis Moon
First, lets talk about the difference between a pen name and a sock puppet becauese lots of authors use pen names. This includes me.
I use two names- Uncle Vlad is for my games and erotic short stories on itch. I do not intend to take this name off of itch or Tumblr. I will publish Sword of the Voivode under T.G. Joye. This is mostly because my legal name is used by several entities to publish other work already, and I don't want to be mixed up with unrelated works that are not my own.
Sock puppets are almost exclusively online handles used to harass and manipulate people. Freydis used both- sock puppet accounts often tended to also be pen names for other styles of writing.
While neither of these things is a crime per se, some of those alternate personas engaged in digital brown face. While also not a crime per se, it is in very poor taste.
Here's where things get absolutely FUCKED-
Freydis is an award winning latinex author who is; by all accounts, not a latinex person. Freydis also engaged heavily in multiple forms of bullying, which I have been on the recieving end myself. This bullying largely targeted minorities who are underrepresented in fiction- allowing Freydis to boost themselves as a supposedly marginalized author as they harrassed many trans, non binary, and people of color out of publishing own ownvoices work.
I've seen the effects of Freydis's predatory behavior first hand on transmasculine writers- many were afraid to leave their sphere of influence after becoming attached to Freydis, in spite of the bad behavior. Many more were harrassed off of various platforms- like Discord and Twitter- cutting them off from a small but tight knit community.
I am one of those people who was harassed off of Twitter, and have not made any inroads into the digital writing community b/c I feared backlash from Freydis. I've spent the last two years trying to figure out what I was going to do once I released Sword of the Voivode. While not erotica, I still felt fear to publish on Amazon due to Freydis's past harassment. It is a miracle the book has come this far in the process and I will be publishing it later this year.
Many, many more people were manipulated into believing Freydis with an unwavering, cult-like fervor, making it impossible to even have a conversation about years of abuse and manipulation going on behind the scenes.
The Takeaway-
We need to be better to one another, both by being more supportive of those within our own communities and by questioning our loyalty to any one person. We talk about believing victims, but never in the context of bullying and I think that has to change here and now.
We also need to boost each other like there's no tomorrow. Many ownvoices works have been left languishing in obscurity because Freydis took up so much space in multiple minority communties. Boost those books you felt unsafe to do so before. Boost your own. We need to lift each other up and engage with one another more readily to really undo the hurt done to us.

-Inside you saw a party going on, recognizing the last human fighter, Sasaki Kojiro, who had just beaten Poseidon, he looked to be the guest of honor around this party that looked to be nothing but sumo wrestlers!
-Raiden noticed you as you hopped in and he bent over a bit from where he was sitting on his rear, “Hmm~ what’s this?”

-You weren’t known to turn down food, so you didn’t enjoying the delicious food provided to you, jumping on the plates and absorbing the food but not the dishware, which was shocking for everyone in the room before Kojiro spoke, “Oi Y/N-chan, can you taste food like we do?”
-You beamed again, “I can! I can also eat like a normal looking human too!” with this you transformed into your human form, wearing a black outfit, shorts with a tank top, unattached sleeves that went from your mid upper arm to your wrists, thigh high stockings, and black ankle boots and a flowing black scarf around your back.
-Your human form caused a lot of instant yelling, “You’re just a kid?! They want to make a child fight?! Where’s Brunnhilde?!” you were quick to calm them down, reminding them that you were reincarnated upon your death and when you were alive you were Y/A, plus five years that you’ve spent building your own little patch of paradise with other monster type beings such as yourself.
-This calmed them a bit and you went back to eating, quickly bringing smiles to everyone’s faces as you were so tiny but you were eating enough to challenge Raiden.
-You were quickly a favorite of the women, who all thought you looked adorable, finding yourself surrounded by them, but you were more focused on the food, but you answered their questions.
-Raiden, who enjoyed having someone to rival him, with eating at least, was quick to dub himself as your big brother, and that he would help look out for you and the other rikishi cheered loudly, calling themselves your big brothers or uncles while Kojiro laughed warmly, adopting you as your new grandfather.
-It was a bit sudden, but you couldn’t help but cheer alongside them before another round of food came out and the whole room cheered again, causing a ruckus.
-Brunnhilde entered, looking for you and the room lifted their cups in a toast to her, everyone cheering out her name which made a small smile appear on her lips before she entered, her eyes scanning everyone until she spotted you sitting with Kojiro.
-You beamed brightly at her when she spoke, “YN, it is your turn to fight. Are you ready?” You let out a loud ‘whoo-hoo’ transforming back into your slime form and leaping up at her. She wasn’t bothered, catching you easily before everyone told you to kick some ass and you agreed, wanting to come back and party some more with them.
-You were amazing in your fight, you bounced around in your slime form, toying with your opponent before you decided to get series, sending out razor sharp water blades, acid bullets, and took every blow your opponent gave to you before you leaped atop of them and enveloped their body, dissolving them.
-When you went backstage you took your human form and heard Raiden, “Y/N!! I knew you could do it!” you beamed, running to Raiden and allowing him to pick you up and spin you around as you celebrated your win before you headed back to his room as they had just ordered more food, including desserts to celebrate your victory which made you cheer again.

OUAHFSHD THANK YOU SO MUCH I’M REALLY HAPPY YOU LIKE MY ART!! Also I’m sure your art is better than you think it is (we generally tend to view our own creations as worse than others because we’re the ones that made them, don’t worry I’m the same as well ajdbsjd) but yeah I’ll be happy to give you some tips and stuff! (and yeah I never colour traditionally either I just leave everything in plain biro because I don’t want to mess it up lol)
(I haven’t seen your art so these will probably be more general tips but hopefully they’ll help a bit, also keep in mind that I’m not a professional so this will be more about what has worked for me but I hope it might help you a bit)
So for stuff like lineart, avoid using chicken-scratches—it might seem easier or less daunting to do shorter overlapping lines like that but it will give your sketches and drawings that overall fuzzy look, the trick is to have longer confident strokes. It might seem a bit tricky at first if you haven’t done it before so don’t worry it happens but if you keep practicing they’ll eventually look smoother and less shaky. For the longer lines it better to draw from either your elbow or shoulder, and by that I mean keeping your wrist still and letting the larger parts of your arm do most of the work—this will also help your wrist in the long run. For things like shorter lines and smaller details then absolutely use your hand to move the pen, but generally try to use your elbow and shoulder as it will help you get those longer smoother lines. Also this is just a personal preference of mine but I generally use brushes that have a bit of pressure sensitivity which helps add some line weight. If you don’t have pressure sensitivity another way you can get line weight is by taking an eraser to some of the edges and narrowing some parts.
For colours it mainly depends on the lighting—lighting is everything and will affect how the rest of the colours will look, so it’s important to have an idea of the brightness and colour of your lighting. The background also plays an important role in picking colours for me as well as it helps provide colour context and makes it easier to pick colours by eye if you want a certain mood. If you want a more dependable way on getting colours to match up then I’d recommend having a layer that’s just colour on top of the rest of your piece—you can play around with the blending modes and opacity, I mainly use either an overlay layer with a medium colour that’s slightly desaturated or a colour burn layer with a light saturated colour; most of the time I use colour burn because if you put it over your lineart then it will also tint the parts of your lineart or sketch that’s at a lower opacity too. But with figuring out colours I’d highly recommend researching some stuff about colour theory, there are a lot of good and easy to understand explanations and art tutorials on YouTube so I would recommend starting there (unfortunately I can’t link recommend specific videos because my playlists are a mess ajdbsjdbsj but some good channels to learn from are Sinix Design, Marc Brunet and Marco Bucci).
In terms of general digital art tips, ALWAYS FLIP YOUR CANVAS. You will not believe the amount of times I’ve looked at a drawing and thought it looked pretty good, flipped the canvas and found that everything’s wonky. In cases like these the liquify tool is your best friend, as well as the lasso tool and transform tools, as well as just manually fixing them by redrawing some parts. Also use as many layers as you need, and by this I mean if you’re working on your sketch, lineart or colouring or whatever and you want to do something you’re not sure you’ll like, duplicate the layers so you have a backup in case it goes wrong and you want to go back. When I say use as many layers as you need I mean use as many as you need, these are some of mine and they’re all from just one sketch because I get really anxious about messing stuff up lol, also don’t be afraid of drawing separate parts on separate layers and merging them afterwards if you want.
Also take your time, unless you have a deadline don’t feel like you have to complete a drawing within a certain timeframe, if you want to get faster at drawing then that’s great but don’t feel like you need to push yourself, especially if you’re just starting. Practice takes time and patience is your best friend, and you probably hear lots of other artists saying this but trust the process. You might get to a bit you’re struggling with and not like it and want to abandon the drawing, but I found that rather than saying “this is bad” or “this is wrong” start asking “how can I make this work” because a change in mindset can help you a lot with art. Also don’t feel like you have to reach certain milestones with your art by certain points either, like with the age thing and comparing your progress with other artists of either the same or different ages, because it can make you feel worse about your art. Trust me there are some artists younger than me who are like 14 or 15 who’s art I envy and—again with the mindset thing—instead of getting down that your art isn’t similar to their’s or worrying that you’re “behind” in your artistic development (there is no such thing btw everyone learns at different ages and speeds so don’t feel bad if you haven’t progressed as much as you would have liked to) it helps to ask what you like about their art and what you would like to incorporate into your own—this has helped me learn and improve a lot faster.
I don’t know if I have any more tips at the moment, but I hope that answered some of your questions! (also sorry it’s a bit long or some bits don’t make a lot of sense I like to ramble a bit lol) (also also thank you for the little fact as well!)

Things To Do If You Have Writers Block
A: Read that book you've wanted to get to or reread one of your favorites! Maybe you'll find some inspiration from the words. Yet even if you don't, analyze what about the book's writing style you like and don't like, then try to apply that to your own and see if anything flows better.
B: Plan the beginning, middle, and end of a story, and nothing more. Get as nonsensical as you want to! (EX: Start: A man finds a tree. Middle: The man brings the tree to life. End: The man becomes a bird so he can live in the tree.)
C: Change up your writing style to see if something new would help. Do you usually write in first person? Try writing in second. Do you usually write in second person? Try writing in first.
D: Come up with new small facts about your OC's or headcanons about your favorite character! (EX: What's their least favorite color? Do they believe in luck? What's their favorite soda?)
E: Write a few paragraphs about what your favorite character would be up to after the end of their story.
F: Think about your favorite media. Then, think about the thing you dislike most about that media. Write a ten step plan about how you would personally fix this problem if you were in charge.
More Undercut
G: Write a very non serious shitpost. Like…something so stupid that it isn't even worth putting real effort into.
H: Go engage with that one media that always makes you want to write something for it.
I: Focus on something for your story that isn't writing. Do you want to research something for your story to be more accurate? Focus on that for a bit and then come back to your writing.
J: Play the paragraph game with a friend! The paragraph game is when you write one paragraph of a story and your friend writes another.
K: Write a paragraph and then do something else. (EX: Write a paragraph and then read a chapter/page of a book. Write a paragraph and then walk a lap around your room. Write a paragraph and then doodle something on a sticky note.)
L: Think about your favorite lyric of all time. Then write a scene based on them.
M: Write about a day from your pets perspective. If you don't have a pet, write about a day from your favorite animals perspective.
N: Write something so embarrassingly self-indulgent that you'd never post it. That way, you won't feel the pressure of showing other people your writing, while also trying to write something you really enjoy.
O: Have a competition with yourself! See how many words you can write in the span of ten minutes over a week! You might surprise yourself.
P: Try a different medium of creativity and see if focusing on something else will get you unstuck. (Like editing, drawing, singing, knitting, etc.)
Q: Start on a new project and see if that gets you unstuck. You can always come back to the old one later.
R: Write something that's NOT from the main characters perspective. How would that one side character you really love react to something the main character has gone through? Or what were they up to while the main character was going through something.
S: Make random characters on Picrew, The Sims, BG3, literally anything with any kind of character customization. Maybe making a really cool design will make you inspired to write a really cool backstory to go with them.
T: Journal your day so you're writing something even if it isn't taking up creative energy. (Because the lack of creative energy is real.)
U: Read anything you write out loud, sometimes it helps things flow better.
V: Rewrite some of your old work. See if you find new wording for that one sentence that bothered you back then.
W: Meet your needs. It's much easier to write after a snack, a drink, and a nap if you feel like you need one.
X: Write about how an interaction would go between two characters who have never met in canon.
Y: Daydream! Not everything has to be written using pen or paper or an internet document. Just daydream about a story you'd like to tell and maybe get inspired. Or maybe you won't, but you will have kept the creative juices flowing!
Z: Release yourself from the pressure of writing. You will get something done when you get something done, and sometimes you just need a break. Even from things you love.

There's a lot of fandoms I don't leave – World of Darkness and Warhammer 40k predominantly as settings I always have another angle I want to see explored in!
I do however have the Magic the Gathering bug, even though I haven't really played in years and years now – but card interaction as a generation for narrative has always kind of captivated me? Like there's a couple big mean Ogre cards that make Rats more dangerous, but due to the way the systems work they also empower the Ratfolk of Kamigawa, the Nezumi, as they count as 'Rat' cards still. So big Ogre spellcasters improving Rat people as part of a contained bit of narrative kind of fascinates me as a concept.
Plus each deck presupposes a Planeswalker character who's casting those spells – and I was always intrigued by that notion and so most of my OCs are representative of decks I played (or wanted to :P) and then in turn each Planeswalker needs a Plane to come from, probably from a still existing culture on that Plane too, and so it can kind of wonderfully reverberate inspiration.
Like how every VTM Kindred OC presupposes a Sire!

A novel! Cyberpunk Vampires! If we're mutuals you can come ask about this but I'm not ready to share things too publicly for this one yet, but the outlining has gone beautifully in my opinion, and the worldbuilding is singing.

I'm making a TTRPG!! It's a Powered by the Apocalypse engine game, about serving as the primary field agents of a faction of people who need your support and protection. Because if you're going to be a hero, who are you doing it for if not your kin?
Setting agnostic as hell, excluding some implicit need for magic in the class moves – I'm prepping to playtest this in sci-fi and fantasy settings to see how well my mechanics hold up in both swords and firearms based stories. Plus I'm going to explore a variety of perspectives of what the faction can be – from ethnic groups, to gangs, to guilds, to neighbourhoods.

Okay this is going to be a long ramble because I have a lot to say. This was another of my very early twst oc ideas that I never did anything with at first. I think around a year ago, I saw that an artist that I admire draw their version of the white queen in twst and I had to try to make a character from the same inspiration. The reason that I'm still not happy with his name is just that I put a lot of thought and meaning / symbolism into my characters' names. I wanted his initials to be "V" and "C" because of the vorpal sword and because of Lewis Carroll. This was the best combination that I've come up with so far, but I'll almost definitely change it if I think of something better. The vorpal sword is also the inspiration behind Victor enjoying collecting knives, and the scene in the 2010 movie where the white queen makes a potion to return Alice to normal size is the inspiration behind the random potion making and testing. Except Victor has no method behind the madness. He just throws whatever he has into a caldron and so be whatever happens. He lost his right arm in an accident when he was very little and has a prosthetic arm that looks like blue and white porcelain (I'm going to add an image of what I mean at the end). Victor is also albino. I have a hair style that I think suits him, but I have no idea what it's called. I'll put this first in the images, and I'd be grateful if someone could tell me what it's called. I'm trying to learn about black hair and hairstyles so I can properly draw some of my characters, but I'm still far from knowledgeable. As far as clothing ideas go, I really want to lean in to the impractical doll clothes vibe with his dorm leader outfit, there's also a little bit of a carnival vibe but Idk how to properly express what I mean. I found an image of doll shoes on Pinterest while looking for inspiration and I love them so much and I'm definitely making the part of his outfit. The heel of the shoe is an hourglass and I'm so obsessed with that design. Well I though that I'd have more time to talk, but I don't so I'm cutting myself off here.

Hello, once again part 2 is finally out! You might of notice that the art style or mostly coloring style has changed, again still trying to figure out how I want this comic to look and all. Overall hope you enjoy part 2. c:

Overall still trying to figure out how I want the story to go and so on but never the less it has been fun to work on so far.
Random fun fact: This took around 5 months to be made I finished the first page on the 17th of April and finished the last page on the 17th of August. Kinda funny how they both ended on both the letter A and the number 17. xD

Hyunjin Hairstyle Tier list
I made a Tier list of Hyunjin's hairstyles because I'm bored <3
My unwanted opinions on these rankings are below the cut😙❤
S Tier
#1 - I freaking LOVE when he ties his hair like that😍 Its so Hwang Hyunjin. I'm also generally a sucker for when he does black hair so-
#2 - All of y'all that said Hyunjin looks bad with short hair should compete in a contest to see who can swallow the biggest cactus🤗 LOOK AT HIM. LOOK. AT. HIM. If you think he doesn't look absolutely gorgeous you're blind as fuck and that's coming from someone who can't read a sheet of paper that's more than a foot away from their face.
#3 - Mother. Need I say more?
#4 - I'm a sucker for long blonde haired Hyunjin and as I said before, when he ties his hair up like that? I'M GONE😵 (If Mother didn't exist it would've been in the #3 spot)
#5 - Can we have shiny brown mullet Hyunjin back?🙏🏼 Please JYP?😃 I'm asking nicely😁🔪 No because this was a one hit wonder- GIVE HIM BACK TO ME PLEASE!! I NEED HIM BACK😭😭😭
#6 - They need to stop letting him wear headbands. To Hyunjin it might be a simple "Tsk, hairband" but to me it's "Oh no, hairband"🤕 My health is put in jeopardy every time he wears one.
A Tier
#1 - Controversial opinion, Red Hair isn't Hyunjin's best hairstyle😶 He looks absolutely fantastic, in that picture and all other variants of styles he's worn the red hair in but personally, it just doesn't hit like some of the others do for me. Not S Tier but definitely at the top of A Tier because those concert pics and clips of him with the messy red hair? [The rest of this message has been redacted for the safety of this users image]
#2 - The plaites on one side and then letting the rest fall wavy and its blonde? Someone save me from the Skater boy!Hyunjin thoughts because they are not healthy thoughts to be having😔
#3 - Venom Skz are something else to discuss another time on a very different blog but for now, the wavy curls? Its blonde? Its long? I've begun to see a pattern here🤔
#4 - The long blonde with the red streak? This hairstyle was also a one hit wonder and we passed over it WAY TO FREAKING FAST. Look at him😍 I- Are we sure this guy didn't get isekai-ed into the wrong fucking universe?
#5 - Ah yes, Thunderous Hyunjin. The one that had my mouth on the floor when he appeared on screen with those hair clips. Time has pushed it this far down in A tier but it still holds a precious place in my heart💝 He looks like a historical Princess be so fucking for real
#6 - Once again, I say this with the most sincerity I can muster, all of you that said Hyunjin looks bad with short hair should really try cactus swallowing! You guys could make the record books! Because who looks at his short blue hair and goes "Mmm, he doesn't look good" like are we looking at the same person here? Get outta here with that total bullshit thank you very much😘
#7 - Honestly what an iconic way to end 2023 and start 2024. I really like Berry Flavored Hyunjin💜 Its just iconic lol I don't have much explanation for this one it just fit right here
#8 - Whenever he did the short jellyfish hairstyles I always cave😩 He does it in a fee different colors I think and he looks so damn boyfriend with that hairstyle😭 If we were ranking these of straight boyfriendism then it'd definitely be in S Tier
B Tier
A lot of these from now on are ranked solely on the fact they don't make me wanna [Redacted] liked those in S Tier make me wanna do or how [Redacted] those in A tier make me feel but rather on the fact they look great, they don't hit pack the same punch yk?
#1 - Look at him and his cute little pigtails😍 I was gonna put it in C tier which ironically houses a few of his goofy ass hairstyles BUT this one specifically activated my cuteness aggression❤❤❤
#2 - Short black hair Hyunjin is a gem but it doesn't hit as hard as all I've previously mentioned
#3 - Wavy platinum blonde?😩 Ugh truly a treat❤
#4 - Pink haired Hyunjin isn't necessarily behind platinum blonde, I'd say they're more equal grounds for me. Unique and gorgeous styles that I think sit comfortably in B Tier but that's just for me
#5 - I really liked this hairstyle and needed it on the list but I was having trouble figuring out where to out it😅 I think its in the right place, its a very cozy? hairstyle. I think cozy is the right word for it, yeah
#6 - Look at baby Hyunnie😭💔💔💔 He's so freaking cute stop it!💘 I love the waves over his forehead and I just love his wavy hair in general, that's why I included it
[Edit: It just now occurred to me as I'm writing this, despite saying I love his wavy hair I completely forgot to add 5-Star album Hyunjin with the black wavy hair, yk the one that performs S-class? Y'all know what I'm talking about. Anyway, that style would most definitely be in A Tier for me between #3 & #4]
C Tier
#1 & #2 - Hehehe he's so goofy I love him😭💕
D Tier
#1 - Hyunjin and his Geto cosplay😂 Personally, not among my favorite styles from him but it's definitely a look you had to be there to appreciate fully and boy am I glad I was here when he surprised us with it😭
#2 - It isn't my favorite hairstyle of his nor do I think it's his best BUT 1. That's my personal take & 2. It's literally RULE that no one looks good with a bowl cut and yet here Hyunjin is still somehow managing to not look as ass as this hairstyle usually has its wearers looking😭 Like I agree it's not his best but my man does NOT look as bad as some of y'all were saying. So stop being jerks and go take a walk <3
[Note: Was the yellow bowl cut his best look? No. Did he deserve to be absolutely dragged on the internet to the point he became self-conscious about wearing his hair short because of it? Absolutely fucking not. Y'all are jerks and Hyunjin deserves a thousand apologies from each and every one of you. There's a difference between critiquing someone's hairstyle and just being an asshole. Y'all are just assholes.
