I desperately want to watch the movie The Goldfinch. But first I must wait for my Amazon order to arrive so that i may read the 1000+ pages book and enjoy the movie.
I hurried downstairs when I saw the Amazon truck pull up. I observed the delivery guy placing my mom's gift for her boss on the steps of the neighboring apartment. I considered calling out to him, but I couldn't bring myself to speak, so after he left, I braved the cold without a coat and walked barefoot on the rock salt to retrieve the packages from the other building. This is the second time an Amazon delivery person has left our items at the neighboring building.
My mom expressed her gratitude for my effort but scolded me for not wearing shoes. I explained that I went out because I was concerned that someone might have taken the packages inside the apartment. She insisted that my health is more important.
I hope that the person who stole my package today was a man who’s never in his life had allergies or congestion and I hope that he felt really REALLY stupid when he opened the package
I've heard something about it being easier for the delivery driver if there's no contact, so I can't really confirm they're friendly. I can't actually see them deliver unless I happen to be coming or going when they get there so idk about "delivered with care". I can't imagine a situation that would be "above and beyond" that applies to me. No special instructions. It's a pretty shitty/simple apartment building, so they'd have to really try to be disrespectful of the property. So I feel the only one I can really do is "on time".
BUT I have a hard time not giving 5 star ratings on things like this (because the people who design employee reward systems are shitty). I'm totally cool with lying to give an employee better scores. And I know driving for amazon sucks, so I want to do what I can since leaving something for them like snacks/water isn't feasible in my situation.
Hello Tumblr, welcome to "oh shit.... what is it now..." season
So, I've been waiting on my package very excitedly, but then when I checked the progress this morning I came across this screen.
I have never seen this before and now I'm worrying (I do worry a lot, I think too much) Like, did the mail truck break down? Did they lose my package? Did someone fucking steal my package?
I am really calling out here, has this happened to anyone else and if so did you get your package in the end or did you have to get a full refund because the package never showed up.
I really am hoping it was just a fool up or something instead of like- someone stealing my package while in transit.
EDIT: Package is here now, so no worries, must have been a miss imput in the end .w.
The True Cost Of Amazon's Push For Speed | True Cost | Business Insider
During my half a year I worked at Amazon while the pandemic was happening, I can relate to the hassle employees undergo. Took a long time for the pain in my wrist and shoulder to go away and to feel normal again.
We have a designated garbage bin for delivery drivers to leave packages in, and the 'delivered' update always make me laugh bc it looks like amazon just tossed my order in the trash and sent fuck you photographic evidence
