Subject Diaries #0.5 - Jockout the Subject, Part 2

(okay this is the last edging post of this series lol)

Last time I discussed my history/beliefs around masculinisation and erotic TF hypnosis, just to give a foundation of how I think about this stuff.

NOW to get into the slightly juicier details; what am I into, and what have I achieved so far with hypnosis?

WELL. What I'm into is an interesting question; and it's changed a lot in the last 2-3 years. If you'd asked me then what I was into, the answer was a fairly limited range of hypnosis: I was into "dumb jock" style brainwashing... and not much else. I didn't do a lot with either sub/dom-coded files, and had yet to discover several of my major kinks! It's kind of weird looking back at how little I used to be into, tbh. But I feel like that's often the way with kinks, they kinda spread over time.

For hypnosis, my current core interests are the following:

Masculinisation - specifically shit like changes in media consumption, physical mannerisms like manspreading or gait, and attitude adjustments. This blurs the line with the next point, but really just covers the whole gamut of a "bro" or "jock" type personality, and is the primary thing I've been into for years.

Dumbing Down - this was a kink I was very on again/off again with for a while before finding my balls and embracing it wholeheartedly. Like many subs, I used to really fear being "Permanently Dumbed Down" and losing skills and traits I need for work/my ambitions. But that's not a realistic fear and not really how hypnosis works, so now I embrace it pretty wholeheartedly. Nothing hotter than coming out of trance unable to spell or think straight. I love seeing the changes in my communication that come from it, and the actual feeling of hypnosis-induced brain fog. (And, being seen as a dumbass is a big kink too, and a nice ongoing goal.) Also included here is the whole subcategory of like, wanting to be malleable and easily hypnotisable, wanting to be someone who drops like a stone and is super impacted by suggestion. I've got some friends who come to mind when I talk about that, and it's always hot to see how easily they sink.

Corruption - this is sort of a broader, underpinning kink to the rest of the stuff I'm into; but it's a desire I have to want to be changed, to have someone coy and sly and sneaky manipulate me into changing in ways most would consider "for the worse." Making me dumber, more single-minded, more narcissistic, more self-indulgent. Fuck, bro. I get off on the idea of someone making me into their personal monster... especially if it goes a little too far from their POV and they can't walk it back. This underpinning desire for corruption is sort of what fuels my love of Dumbing Down and, in recent years, super Dom-coded Toxic Alpha type hypno generally. It's play I think you need to be careful with, but I've been having a good time so far and don't think I'd have ever started making files like Brute if I hadn't gone in that direction myself.

I listen to files outside these three themes, but generally they need to have at least one for me to be into them, and the best tick all three boxes.

I briefly listed a few files I'd listened to a bunch in my previous Diaries post; those being Jack Drago's Masculine Conditioning series, Avis' Sapiens general catalog, and Rigsby's Absolute Jock. I've probably listened to 100s of hours of both the MC-series and Avis' work. My time on Absolute Jock was a looot lower, but tis the best of the old guard of jock files on WarpMyMind. Overall, it's a lot of time to have dedicated to this kinda hypno! So you'd expect to see some results, right?

...Yeeeahhh, well, I'm still kind of a Work In Progress on that front. I have seen results, but I held myself back with anxiety and overthinking (about hypnosis) for years of this, so I've really only started to show change in the last year or so. That being said, the years of repeated conditioning have done a number on me lol.

EFFECTS I'VE SEEN

Successful Media Brainwashing - I did the unthinkable and successfully made myself a sports fan via hypnosis. It's kinda weird. For years I really struggled to even get through a game; then with hypnosis, I gradually started to just get suuper horny when I watched sports instead, which wasn't really any better because I'd just jerk off and lose interest. But sometime in the last two years, I kinda just got into it gradually and now watch for authentic, general interest. This was a real pipe dream at 17 when I envied how all the jock-types in my class could be totally absorbed and single-minded watching or playing a game, but I ended up getting there in the end! Not American so don't watch American Football/basketball/baseball or whatever, but I like rugby/hurling/F1 ✌️I credit this to Jack Drago's work, specifically Files 2 and 4 of the MC series; Manly Media Bubble and Male Oriented Interests.

General Personality Change - this is a WIP suggestion, but it's been interesting seeing myself change over the last 12 months especially. I've become a lot more dominant, confident, cocky, and even self-centered especially in online kink type contexts. IRL, I've just become more dominant and less willing to take shit; but that's only ever a good thing. It's interesting Because the nature of this kind of change, which happens so slowly over time, is that it can be difficult to look back and see the points where you used to behave differently. But sometimes like... especially since doing Douchebag-type files, sometimes I'll criticise someone or make fun of something and get a surprised reaction from a friend who wasn't expecting me to take it that far. And it always makes me feel a little good to surprise them in that way, to violate their expectations of how Nice I should be. I'm always Nice to them, and to anyone decent, but you've really gotta make me WANT to treat you well to get that now. Some people will read this and feel annoyed, or roll their eyes, but I kinda don't care. It's what I'm into. It's what I've GOTTEN into. (It's all Avis' fault really tbh.)

Libido Increase - this was a slow creeping change overtime, but went from getting off maybe 1x a day/5x a week or so to probably getting off 3x a day currently. Got a lot better at thinking with my dick and am super easy to make horny, which helps feed into the next suggestion on the list;

Dumbing Down - this is the suggestion I've had the MOST recent breakthrough with. For the month of January, I listened daily to @hyphyphurray's Muscle Boy file, interspersed with his Happy Horny Himbo and @avissapiens' Intellect Drain. Dumbing Down was always something I'd struggled to conceptualise hypnotically, but I had a perspective shift this month as to what dumbing FEELS LIKE on an ongoing basis. While under some mild post-trance haze, I wrote this snippet about it in preparation for the post a week ago:

The tl;dr of that message is that I realised "permanent" dumbing would feel less like brain fog/tipsiness, and more like apathy towards intellectual topics. It's a priority shift, or a behavioural change; not a magic finger plucking facts out of your brain so you forget the answers. It's sort of like it just fucks with your desire to know things/answer questions instead. The information might still be there, if you hunt; but why would you? Who cares, bro? Does it even matter?

Since making that perspective shift, it's like a few years of dumbing has crept in all at once, and it's been super interesting. I'm not going to over dramatise it (I'm desperate NOT to become an RP-type blog with this) because in contexts like writing, schoolwork, etc., I think just as clearly and easily. But in leisure contexts, in hypnosis, just in chatting with bros... I feel that intellectual apathy creep in allll the time. Trying to think of an answer to something and just giving up two seconds in, because "it's easier not to think about it." Trying to remember something and quitting because "if it was that important, I'd have remember." Letting my typos and message flubs sit because "they can figure it out lol" and not over analysing whether everything I say is totally coherent or rich.

I understand the irony of me speaking in huge depth about this here, when what I'm saying is that I'm thinking less. But like I said, it's kinda contextual. If anyone was interested, I'd consider writing a hornier post under the influence of trance sometime so the difference can be seen, but right now... I'm just taking this a little more formally, I guess? Idk, I'm torn between wanting it to be pseudo-educational and also just having made myself horny writing so much about dumbing, and when I'm horny I REALLY feel that haze start to creep in and I kinda wanna just stop this an edge or something and go do anything else that's more fun 🥴

So in the spirit of the post, I'm gonna go do that.

JANUARY WRAP-UP

For the month of January, most of what I listened to were Hyphyphurray's files listed above (the number in green = the number of times I listened to them). They are paid files, but they're well worth the price, and I recommend them to anyone into this shit. I also listened to Avis' Intellect Drain 5-6 times as a supplement because I love how that just makes my brain turn off for a while.

Not sure atm what I'm gonna listen to through February, I've bounced between Muscle Boy and Avis' Toxic Douchebag Alpha a few times so far but will likely commit to one track for the month.

Did she know from the start? I'm talking about her feelings and Hunter's feelings

I think on the day Willow met Hunter, she got a little baby crush on him nearly immediately but it was such a busy day and romance was like the last thing on her mind so she didn't really notice. She was all like "wow he's so cool!!" But that's a relatively normal way to think about somebody so it flew under her radar. Willow is pretty self aware but she just had a lot going on at the time. She was really REALLY impressed with his flying. Also he was really cute but that was hardly relevant. Point is he was gonna help them snag a victory.

Then he pulled that whole stunt near the end of the episode where he risked everything to save them. When he turned around and pleaded with her to leave and let him handle it, she definitely had this moment where she was like "Oh. Wow..." Because as it turns out, he's so much more than just a really cool, really cute guy. He's a whole world more.

I think once the two started texting, Willow started realizing that the little baby crush was there. Because there is no good reason for her to be squealing into a pillow just cuz he sends her a little tree emoji. No good reason whatsoever.

But at the same time, Willow proceeds with caution. She grips her safety rails tight and gives herself a good firm talking to. She's not going to forget that Hunter is the Golden Guard so, for the sake of her friends, she can't go trusting him wholeheartedly. So admittedly, having a little crush on him isn't the best idea. But so long as she maintains it, keeps it from overgrowing and doesn't let it influence her, it's fine. It's okay to indulge herself and become text buddies with Hunter so long as she doesn't forget the boundaries that exist between them.

Willow fails at preventing her crush from growing but she is stubbornly refusing to acknowledge that. Because that would be admitting that she can't control her own emotions. Which makes her uncomfortable to dwell on for too long. So she represses it. This is fine :)

Willow does a good job at remaining unbiased in spite of her crush. She doesn't immediately stand up for Hunter when he's being interrogated by Bump for possibly being linked with the scouts invading Hexside, until she can be sure that she can trust him. At this point her crush has been pushed down and ignored because now is not the time for dumb teenage stuff. Willow is preoccupied with important matters.

But man....when Hunter saved Gus, Willow's best friend Gus who means the absolute world to her, and she learns he apparently saved him not by fighting, but with kindness and understanding, oh she was gone. Completely gone. Though she didn't allow herself to think about it too much, this alone had Willow head over heels for that sweaty little weirdo.

It was safe and acceptable to befriend Hunter now without any opposing allegiances complicating it. Plus Gus really likes him, so no judgy looks from him either. So they become a little trio of friends. Just friends, Willow tells herself. He's still cool and he's still really cute and he's also so kind, but they are apparently drawing close to the end of the world. Willow can't get distracted. So she won't. And she didn't.

She opts not to think too hard about the time Kikimora got her hands on "him" and she went ballistic. It was reckless and stupid of her. People could have been hurt. She's starting to suspect that boy might have an alarming amount of power over her.

Scares her a little.

Or a lot. Maybe it scares her a lot. So she opts not to think too hard about that either.

Just a little baby crush. Not even worth talking about.

It's only after they've landed in the Human Realm and things somewhat stabilize that Willow starts noticing Hunter's feelings. She noticed he had become a little shy around her after the events of Labyrinth Runners but she didn't really think too deeply about it. He had been through a lot, so being a little reserved and jumpy was normal. I wanna say she was even a little jealous over how comfortable Hunter was with Gus compared to how nervous he got around her. But she tried not to let it bother her. It was a silly thing to get upset over and they were currently dealing with the end of the world.

But yeah, once they had settled in Camila's house and she had some time to relax and not much else going on to occupy her mind, Willow absolutely picked up on Hunter's crush on her. And she likes it. She really likes it. Being crushed on by somebody so cool makes her feel so cool and confident and pretty and worthy. It got her so giddy and excited. Flirting with him and making him all blushy made her go a little mad with power.

However, Willow is a very complicated person. I think that, while she was having the time of her life testing the waters and experimenting with flirting, she was also a bit scared deep down. She had terrible imposter syndrome. ("Why have I been trying to be someone different?" - Willow one episode later.) She's hiding a lot of herself. She's repressing her weaknesses and insecurities and overcompensating her "good" personality traits.

Willow is willing to admit to herself that she has a little crush on Hunter and she's maybe considering starting something with him after this is all over. If he still likes her by then, that is. And so long as he never sees too much of her, he will like her.

She's not in love with him. Because if she was in love with him, he would have the power to hurt her. So she's decided to not be.

She likes it like this. Chill, flirtatious, easy. But at the same time, she's keeping him at arm's length. She's afraid of being vulnerable with him. She's afraid of him knowing her too well.

But as the months go on, she's gradually realizing that he might mean more to her than she's willing to admit. But she can't stop getting closer and closer to him. She tends to slip up whenever she's around him. Stops thinking about consequences. It's really bad. And no matter how scared she is of this relationship she has with him, she can't stop herself from digging them into a hole. Like girl he's in love with you now??? Girl you're in love with HIM now???? If you're so scared why did you initiate this in the first place???

The simple answer is he turns her into a dumbass.

ace is one of the best people to be best friends with. even if he can come across as cocky and arrogant at first, as soon as you warm up to him, he would be the sweetest guy ever.

he's always supporting you and hyping you up. it doesn't matter what you want to do, as long as it doesn't harm you, ace will wholeheartedly adore the idea. you want to cut your hair? he already picked up the scissors. want to dye it but don't have the courage to do it? well, he could do some blonde highlights if you dye your hair too. do you feel like trying on a new style of clothing? give him a fashion show. he's down for anything and everything.

as seen in the anime, being best friends with ace means you basically have a older brother now. he will annoy you as much as he will protect you. his motto is "only i am allowed to bully them". he have a bunch of jokes and nicknames he uses with you, but as soon as anyone tries to say the nicknames or do the same jokes, ace almost throws a fit for the person to shut up – the whitebeard pirates learned that the nicknames were exclusive after they had to hear a two hour lecture from the young adult (he passed out from sleep at least three times during it).

he is a big cuddler, even in a platonic way. whenever you're getting ready to sleep, ace is already in your bed getting comfortable under the sheets. he can't sleep unless he have at least an leg thrown over your body. he snores softly from time to time, but sometimes a louder snore would leave his nose and it makes him move; that's when he pulls you even closer to him.

ace is very fond of all your memories together and cherishes anything that you give him. he keeps everything that you give him, from a random cool shell you found to a piece of clothing he took (stole) from your wardrobe, he hates to even think about losing any of those little things. he will also remember all things you tell him; even if he doesn't seem like he will remember, he absolutely will. ace will bring up something that you told him months ago as if it was normal for him to remember that and he won't understand when you show a surprised face at that.

Henry's been living rent free in my head since I read TSH like four months ago- I cannot stop thinking about him and your blog is single handedly fueling my obsession with him so thank you so much really.

Anyways- I know Henry is definitely not the soft type of guy, but I do believe he could get just a tiny little bit softer than he usually is (sparingly) were he to find a person he really liked?? This is probably just my guilty and mostly out of character pleasure, but imagining him being all cold and harsh as he is for the most part and then suddenly doing or saying that one unexpectedly tender thing out of nowhere (even in a nsfw context, that's even better) and then going back to his usual self in a heartbeat makes me go uughhh

i wholeheartedly agree with you. on so many levels. it's very easy to cross the utterly restrictive OOC boundaries when speaking/writing about him, since all we seem to know is how stoic and cool and constantly displeased he is (although i could impugn this very well — take the glass shard scene or his staying at the hospital with richard as an example).

us as readers, we cannot help but crave a little softness from him sometimes, and i understand that completely. i'm always willing to indulge us all in a scenario like that. in a better world, on slightly OOC premises, he would make an evidently detached, but caring partner. coincidentally, i have been thinking about just that for the past couple of days, despite formerly being convinced it would be entirely impossible to conduct a healthy relationship with that man (which, yeah, if we strictly stick to canon, it still would be, but that's the beauty about fiction — we get to brush past and alter some things to our enjoyment).

therefore, yes — with the opportunity to alter his character just a tiny bit, i believe he would let his soft side flash every now and again. i don't think it would be in any form of physical touch, however, as he certainly isn't one to put his feelings on display, especially in public (in private, however, that'd be a completely different story). it would mostly be symbolic with him. for instance, imagine it being your birthday. as your partner, he would know you inside and out — he is highly attentive and perceptive, especially when it comes to those closest to him, and he would absolutely be well-versed in anything that you might like, or mention liking. he would know. loving is knowing. therefore, for your birthday, he would not only think of and buy you the best and most thoughtful present imaginable, but he would also buy five more to give to the rest of the group under the pretense of "i know her/him/them better than all of you combined, which is why all of your gifts have already been taken care of".

that is how his affection would shine through — acts of service. being spoiled by him is another tremendous part of that. i have already approached this topic in two previous posts, but to summarize: he absolutely would be willing to spoil you in any way imaginable, as it would be the only plausible way for him to prove the depth of his feelings for you (along with kisses and other physical endeavors, which would exclusively be saved for private settings).

in addition, i feel like he would let himself be swayed more and more despite his dogmatic position, meaning he would be willing to comply or enter compromises, especially for you. orrr... to approach the aspect of him portraying the merest smidge of sweetness and immediately reverting to his stoic self — imagine a strand of hair having fallen loose from your hairstyle, or it simply veiling your hair too much, to the point where he would press the book he might be holding under his arm mid-conversation and brush it aside for you with a light smile, only to immediately proceed with whatever it is he had been occupied by previously.

from a nsfw standpoint, his care would mostly show in his being very forthcoming and reassuring to you (asking for consent, asking if you're in any discomfort during a position, checking up on you during rougher activity), and aftercare (bringing you towels/water/a cigarette (lol), proposing to go pee, holding you on occasion if matters had been overly rough and you might still be trembling).

he would also totally be the type to run his fingers through your hair and even play with it. i don't care how OOC some people believe this to be — i need it. sometimes a girl just needs something of the sort.

So I feel like a lot of the fic writers I currently admire are in this circle.

@aliasrocket has the ability to blend absolute crudeness with this undercurrent of yearning that is peak Rocket, and literally everything I've read by them is like...too hot. I also think they're a goddamn pillar of the community

@elegant-fleuret writes a perfect Rocket. if i didn't know better i'd think he got stuck at her place for like the first six months of quarantine and now she knows exactly how his brain works whether she likes it or not (either way i benefit because the writing is so good and hot). her writing is also so CLEAN (not like - i mean it's filthy as hell but i don't think i've ever seen a typo or an error and it's always so polished and i??? always?? have a misplaced punctuation mark or a bad autocorrect SOMEWHERE)

@evolvingchaoswitch writes with incredible vulnerability and (again) everything is so fuckin sexy.

One of the fic writers outside of this community (she writes mostly hellcheer for Stranger Things) is @staceymcgillicuddy and in addition to writing just the smoothest content I've ever read (seriously, every word goes down easy), she's like...so consistent. I'm so impressed by her ability to write and share REGULARLY.

i think my very favorite from this fandom (so far) is probably A Very Basic Instinct by @elegant-fleuret. you've all absolutely read this because it's like - such a perfect bite of rocketsmut. and i mean if you haven't then leave this post immediately and go read it stat. ugh

I love last (friday) night by @aliasrocket/(subject) 89P13 . it's just such a good beginning. there's heat, humor, angst. love it.

i also love and need more of @lazarel-3000's The All of You. the oc Juno is so interesting and I really want to dig into her backstory and learn everything about her, and i cannot WAIT to see how things unfold between her and my best raccoon boy

outside of the erocketa community I read a lot of hellcheer (stranger things) and some other fandoms. currently topping the list of faves is a very smutty oneshot called throw your jacket on the floor and a very sexy little fic called In a Sentimental Mood. oh and i wanna be your sin, i wanna be your preacher. and PURE bubblegum fluff i have reread like 27 times because it's just so cute: Poprocks.

15. Your guilty writing pleasure?

what is a guilty writing pleasure? is that like - something i do while writing that i feel like i shouldn't (like stay up writing on my phone till 3am when I gotta wake up at 6am, or forgetting to drink water? because i assure you neither of those are pleasures) or something i write about that i feel like i shouldn't?

look life is too short to have guilty pleasures. i embrace my pleasures wholeheartedly. if anyone tries to make you feel guilty for indulging in a pleasure that harms no-one, set yourself free of them.

my adoration for writing (and reading) light d/s rocketsmut with a big ol' dash of praise-kink is probably the thing i am most selective about sharing with other people but it's less about guilt and more about, like, not needing to subject everyone to my kinks + also not knowing who might be a repressed judgy weirdo.

okay i came back to this after thinking about it more, because i didn't want to feel like i was copping out on you. the only thing that i'm a little self-conscious about sometimes is how much of myself i put into OCs. so, a little personal: the first five visits of sweatshirt girl was 100000% about me dealing with like, the very traumatic loss of my first (very young) kitten to a deadly disease that wasn't responding to medication + my second (very young) kitten developing major health issues all in the course of the preceding 10 months. jolie's got a lot of hang-ups that make up my core personality and once i get around to writing Other Duties As Assigned, that OC will also get a nice little dollop of my 2023 work-related trauma. yo it's been a rough fuckin year and what better way to work that out than through erocketa amirite. just some healthy mutual consolation & absolute filth shared with a sad raccoon

(and therapy. i'm also in therapy. and medicated. both are great and you should try them if you're thinking about it and have the means)

Summary: Kaito had no intention of interfering with the main characters, even if he seems to have landed in this world a year or two after the canon storyline ended. So of course he hops into bed with an Arcobaleno (unknowingly!) and gains his interest, which leads him into many an uncomfortable talk with the other Arcobaleno, into Vongola’s crosshairs, and into a cross-country courtship with Skull fucking de Mort.

Notes: Title is from "Female Robbery" by The Neighbourhood.

This is an extremely self-indulgent SI/OC/Skull fanfic (that takes place after the canon storyline, so Skull and the rest of the Arcobaleno are in their adult forms.) Like y'all, I gave my SI/OC Hiraishin!! Just because I could!!!! I am absolutely never continuing this, at least not as is, because Kaito is way too OP, but I might eventually cannibalize parts of it for a fic that won't make me cringe myself out of existence. Anyway, AO3 is down, so here's something to entertain yourself for a little bit.

It starts with a dark and dingy bar, full of criminals and low lifes and the dirty underbelly of society. It’s the kind of place where brawls are nonexistent, and no one cares what your name is. It’s perfect for Kaito, coming off a botched job, one where the client lied about his motivations for the hit, and Kaito ended up fighting off a small army trying to escape after he offed the guy.

He’s pissed and disgruntled, and he nurses a single glass of whiskey in a dingy corner for a while as he works out a way to make future clients wary of double-crossing him. Just killing the fuckers apparently isn’t enough of a message, so maybe he has to be more brutal. Torture? Or some public display?

He hasn't quite decided yet when someone new enters the bar, instantly catching his attention. The guy's got brown hair and vibrant green eyes, and he looks really good in that weathered leather jacket and tight jeans. God, but he's got piercings. And those boots. Why does he have a chain hanging off pf his pants? That's so goddamn stupid and weirdly hot, and he might be the prettiest man Kaito's ever seen.

It takes all of ten seconds for Kaito to decide he's going to go for it. It wouldn't be the first time he's hit on a stranger in a bar, and it certainly won't be the last. Because he's not a complete moron, he does wait and watch for another ten minutes, looking for signs the guy is waiting on someone or for said someone to show up.

But no one shows. At the ten minute mark, Kaito goes right on over there, making sure to make some noise, even though he doubts the guy is a civilian. This bar serves a certain clientele, after all, and besides, he's met enough dangerous individuals in his line of work to recognize one, even if he can't quite tell how dangerous. As the literally only being in this dimension to possess chakra, he can hardly use that as a measure of strength, even though it would be so convenient.

Few things in this world are, for a displaced faux ninja.

He slips onto the seat next to the guy, ready with a flirtatious smile when he turns to look. "Hi, I'm Kaito, and you're really pretty. Want to get to know me?"

It's a stupid, cheesy line, but Kaito's normal prospects usually find it just this side of endearing. It's all about the delivery.

Pretty Guy startles, just a little, then he smiles back, stupidly charming and visibly flattered. "Hearing that from someone as pretty as you-" he laughs, and it's so cute, what the fuck- "I'm Yulian, and I'd love to."

This, right here, is definitely, undoubtedly, wholeheartedly, and unquestionably the moment Kaito really fucked up.

But it's not where it really started.

It starts with a dreamlike video game or perhaps a video game-like dream. Nevertheless, there is a character creation screen and a character carefully created after hours and hours (maybe an hour and a half) of deliberating and contemplating and self-indulging.

The character is a ninja in a world full of them. Short, black hair that curls over his ears. Ruby red eyes with visible rings in them. Fair skin, high cheekbones, dimples. Tall, lean, muscular, nimble.

Yuuhi Kaito, age 22, stands before him, mouth pulled into an easy smile, a hint of mischief in his eyes, a deceptive ease to his stance. He’s perfect.

After that, skill slots are quickly filled up. Gear is equipped. An elemental affinity is chosen. He hovers between two Special Skills for a while, but eventually, he goes with his heart. Also, the coolest choice with the most potential for badassery.

The generated backstory is skimmed over. Kaito is the older brother to Yuhi Kurenai, and in canon, he died during the Third War. In this world, he survives, becomes a tokubetsu jounin, joins ANBU, gets handpicked to join the Yondaime’s guard, and like the others, he is taught the Hiraishin Jutsu. Unlike them, however, he figures out how to use it on his own. As one can imagine, this changes things.

Eager to get into this strange, new world and discover those changes, he doesn’t hesitate to save and then select Game Start.

He probably should have hesitated.

He almost can't believe he'd do something so idiotic, but he did, so clearly, there's some string of DNA inside of him dedicated to dumbassery and other stupid stunts, some gene that forces him to make the worst decision possible in any given situation, even when he's not aware it's possible.

How the fuck was he supposed to know Pretty Bar Guy was a canon character?? How on earth was he supposed to know that Yulian was actually Skull de fucking Mort??? How was he to know this random dude he picked up at a bar was a fucking disguised Arcobaleno???

And!!! Worse!!!! How was he to know that this dude would fall in love with him after a random fling??

dynamic: cg! donna beneviento headcanons

a/c: our beloved dollmaker is one of my top comfort characters (i think about her 24/7), so this list is gonna be much longer than my usual ones. also, each item in the moodboard is going to correspond to these headcanons, though in no particular order. as a disclaimer most of these are based off of my own regression/daydreams so its very self indulgent in nature. there may be some things that won’t be based on canon but instead my own interpretation of the character (especially since what we know in canon of donna is very little unfortunately ( ╥ω╥ ))

i hope you enjoy!

warming up to people outside of her own family would be difficult for the introverted lord, however once she’s made up her mind about someone/considers them one of her own, there’s nothing she wouldn’t do for you

out of the four of them she was the fastest to understand what your regression is and its benefit to your mental health. i mean she is the village dollmaker, she’d understand more than anyone what its like to find joy in things meant for children.

and who’s to say that she isn’t a regressor herself? i believe wholeheartedly she’d be a flip, she may not have understood the terminology at first but her tendency to go non-verbal and have angie speak for her is my main evidence

the moment she comes to understand what she needs to do to help you, you’ll find her one of the sweetest caregivers ever

and she’s so. observant.

if she finds you taking a liking to anything in particular (whether it be a food, a show, or even a material of clothing) she’ll be taking notes of it to either get you more of it or as a reward for your good behavior (gotta make sure she’s raising a respectful little one, y’know?)

her leather bound book would have all of her observations: your schedule, your likes and dislikes, and her ideas for gifts months in advance

there’s absolutely no way that you’d be able to hide anything from her, there’s eyes everywhere in the beneviento house!

it’s mostly for your safety of course, she respects your autonomy and your privacy of things that you’d like to keep to yourself

though i can’t say the same for angie, she’s one of the biggest tattletales the village had ever known

donna would chuckle to herself if she were to find a “surprise gift” under your bed while cleaning, remarking to herself how good of a little one she has for thinking of her

as a creative soul herself she would absolutely encourage it, you would have a separate room right next to her office to let your creativity run wild (though supervised if she noticed you in a smaller mindset)

if you like sewing, she’d have an entire suitcase of child-safe needles and scissors for you. if you like to paint she’d always make sure that you have sufficient amounts of each mediums

she loves anything that involves the use of her skilled hands, one of her favorite pastimes being knitting. you could always find her humming near the fire, seamlessly switching the yarn in between each row

it would only take you to silently sit in front of her with your back turned for her to put everything down and begin brushing and braiding your hair, you were almost convinced it was a superpower in itself how perfectly even each of the braids would come out without fail

though she can get completely lost in her work she’d always make sure to set time aside for her little one, as though you two weren’t already attached at the hip. neither of you mind, silent company is something that you both greatly enjoy

if there is ever a need for her to not have you near her, angie is your assigned babysitter for any occasion, though she’d take the role of being your superior to heart, and voila you have a mischievous older sibling

though she wouldn’t admit it there isn’t anything that angie wouldn’t do for you either. of course she has moments of getting jealous that you take donna’s attention away from her, but if she notices even one wrong look from the other dolls towards you they’d be having a word with her or donna soon after

storytimes are an absolute must before bed, they were already something that donna would do for the other residents of the house when she felt like it, but now it had become routine. most of the genres would be the old folk tales and gothic literature that she was raised on

you can bet that she’d be using her powers of hallucination to let you see the world around you as the set of whichever story of your choosing

your desire to want to mimic her in everything she does is something that she finds so endearing about you. she’d be in the kitchen cooking a meal for the two of you and then look down to find you tugging on the bottom of her dress, ushering you instead to your play kitchen to “help”.

“perdonami, piccola ombra, the oven is too dangerous.” followed closely by angie tugging you away to a safer area of the house

piccola ombra= little shadow, a name given to you by donna when she found you following her around the house with a blanket over your body and a stuffy clutched close to your chest with a veil over their head to mimic her and angie

besides piccola ombra, she would have many petnames that she would shower you with throughout the day, though her favorite of all would be either tesoro (treasure) or bambolina (little doll), but especially coniglietta (bunny)

because of that you will find bunny items everywhere, from your plushies to your lotion to the items engraved around your room

the two other ways that she notices you copying her is gardening and baking. any of the produce that you both procure would be used in your meals and treats.

donna always thought it best to work for the things that you want rather than to depend on others. her status as lord always guaranteed she were given things on a silver platter, and for that she always found gardening to make her less reliant on help.

after finally clearing off the brush and snow, the two of you would find yourselves enjoying the afternoon picnicking outside with the other dolls with two different tea sets: one silverware and another wooden set to play with. you two would watch the sun set over the courtyard, and if you grew sleepy she’d be happy to carry you back to bed

you would never find a more loving, attentive, and dedicated caregiver than donna beneviento ˚ʚ♡ɞ˚

I have so many things running through my head right now (all about Barbatos 🫶) but I feel weird sending multiple asks so I hope you don't mind if I put them all in one!

Firstly, owl Barbatos has been flying around my thoughts for DAYS. As a long-time bird lover, I can wholeheartedly say that he's very owl like in general! But this is less about him being a cutie patootie little bird and more about his onesie thing. I NEED TO HUG HIM. He looks so soft and comfy and squeezable EEEEE! I just need to spot him from across the room and then rush up to him and envelope him in the biggest embrace ever! Place several little kisses all over his beautiful face before he's had enough and just kisses me... 🙏 He actually looks like a dream to cuddle with in his onesie I cannot stand it.

Next, I am terrified of butterflies. This current even had me thinking all about how Barbayos would deal with this. Like, I am so scared of them that when I was a child, I was kicked out of the butterfly sanctuary for screaming and crying and scaring the other kids. Anyways, LMAO, I think he'd think I'm silly (I am) but still never make fun of me. That's what's so wonderful about him, he'll never judge!

I just realized these are all completely self-indulgent, and I apologize for that, but I have one more djmsjdwnwkow. So, I had left over chain from a previous DIY project, so I made Barbatos' collar chain that he has in his demon form!! I think it's super cool, and I think he'd think it is, too. I wouldn't even tell him about it, I'd just wear it one random day and see if he notices. (He will. He notices everything. More evidence towards owl Barbatos propaganda.) But, yeah, we'd match. I was wondering if you had any silly things you'd like to match Barbatos with! Personally, matching pajamas and keychains are SO cute.

Final thought, Barbatos would make you his home screen. Anyone can see a lockscreen if you look at their phone, but only he gets to see your face on his home screen <3

Ahh, owl!Barb is truly excellent. Like I definitely think that's a good choice for him. Owls have a reputation for being wise, right? And while I think in reality they're probably just as dumb as any other animal, I still like the association of wisdom for Barb, you know?

I actually have an owl that lives behind my house. I've never seen it because it gets dark here at night, but I've heard it hooting. It's actually pretty loud lol. But wouldn't it be cute if that was something Barbatos could do to like check in on MC in the human world? I think something similar whenever I see the crow gang that lives across the street from me, except I imagine it's Mammon. That's probably pretty silly, but I can't help but think about them, you know?

I think there are a lot of bird associations with the characters, I mean we also got peacocks for Luci. Though I have never seen or heard a peacock around my house lol. If I ever see a cow in the street, I'll blame Belphie.

Anyway, getting off topic here, which is that Barbatos in his onesie is absolutely adorable and I love him. He would be a delight to cuddle with.

OH suffering from lepidopterophobia?? LOL yes okay I looked that up because I was curious. I was like there has be a word for being afraid of butterflies. Anyway, I don't think Barbatos would judge you at all. The fact is, most phobias like this are irrational, it doesn't matter if they don't make sense. For you the fear is real and Barb cares a lot more about your comfort than anything else. He wouldn't want you to be scared or anxious about it!

Yo, no worries about self indulgence. I have so many self indulgent fics it's not even funny, this is what we're here for. I think Barbatos would be flattered that you would want to match with him. I especially like that it's something from his demon form, which he isn't in all the time, so it's like you're matching with him in a subtle sort of way. As for me, I don't know if I'd want something that's exactly matching, but I like the idea of something that's like clearly about him, you know? Like wearing a ring with a teal stone or something like that. I initially thought about wearing a teal septum ring, but then I realized I would like to be able to see it without a mirror so a regular ring would probably be my choice. I do like matching pajamas, though, that sounds adorable!

Oh yes, I like him being possessive. He's like, only I get to see this picture of MC, so it must be home screen. We'd kinda match that, too because this man is already on both my lock screen and my home screen yes I have a problem.

LMAO believe me this is so funny istg. Why? Because that is exactly how I feel about the title.

- First, I’m gonna be perfectly honest here, I’m NOT comfortable with the Adventure part.

Because the same as @gods-nico, I don’t like how it downplays Nico’s physical and mental trauma as a… field trip. Yeah let’s just go with that.

I’m aware of my enthusiasm for angst materials, but this is just a little too much for me. I have always seen Tartarus as a forever deep, unfixable, indelible scar to Nico’s body and mind (i came up with a disable Nico AU based on that. like, srsly). He suffers from it and never manages to fully escape. It’s terrible. It’s nightmarish. We’ve all seen how difficult it was for Percy and Annabeth to trek through it. Tartarus is not, by any mean, someplace one would wish to explore in a freaking adventure.

It’s like saying all the horrors they’ve gone through down there are actually magical wanders. Or tourist attractions. Something along that line. Please, just. No. Don’t do that to me.

In fact, the sole reason Nico wants to come back to Tartarus is because he loves his friend Bob too much to leave him. It’s a rescue mission. They’re jumping head first in a hellhole to save Nico’s friend, not go sightseeing and definitely not a picnic. 😦😦💀💀

I’m saying this with utmost respect: the fact that the title practically sugarcoats Tartarus and dismisses Nico’s dedication to his friend upsets me.

- However, as much as I ‘value’ Nico’s trauma, I’m also amazed by his strength and ofc, eager to see more of it. That’s to say, I wholeheartedly wish to see Nico conquer Tartarus.

I’ve said it once and I’d say it again: I love both Nico’s sufferings and toughness.

Nico would be powerfully beautiful standing up against one of his deepest trauma, all resilient, unafraid and unrelenting. He manages to overcome his fears and thus, is finally able to heal fully. (Nico di Angelo deserves to goddamned heal)

This is the only scenario in which I indulge a less terrible Tartarus, not because the hellhole itself is any more lenient, but that Nico has become much, much stronger. And with the help of his boyfriend, they’re enough to fight it and win.

It’d be absolutely splendid. And I’m nothing if not a powerful Nico enthusiast.

It’s many things coming at once. Nico’s resolve. His resilience. Will’s support. His love. Their love. All of them get Nico another step closer to his happy ending. And what kind of Nico’s self-proclaimed mother would I be if I’m not forever grateful for that?

When I see Nico win over Tartarus, it’d be thanks to his inner strength and everything he’d managed to gain by himself, NOT because the hell itself is ridiculously nerfed weak.

That’d be the true prove to Nico’s astounding character development.

- Regarding the Sun vs Star part, we’re probably talking pretty lively about it so I’ll just skip it lolol it’s 1:30am.

Moving to the plot.

- I’m genuinely excited to see Bob again, not only because I adore his and Nico’s friendship but also I want to see how his character development would progress, provided that Iedeptus’ memories show signs of coming back. And ofc, how that would affect the friendships he’s made with the demigods.

This is the closest, most detailed I get to see of Nico interacting with a side-character. Exactly what I’ve been harboring a special liking for.

Bob isn’t a popular character. And when some beloved unpopular character of mine gets the spotlight, I’m more than thrilled.

- But again, the title “Adventure” does dump a bucket of cold water on it. I’d be extremely disappointed if Nico’s rescue mission turns out to be a children’s walk in the wild park. Hopefully not.

- Ofc, Will Solace. How a healer like him is gonna fend for himself and keeps Nico from physically/ mentally deteriorating at the same time really intrigues me.

I don’t have specific expectations for Will like plague abilities etc, but still I’m genuinely looking forward to see how Rick and Mark would work it out for him. A well-built background for him would be nice, too - I’m aware a lot of us love Will on a spiritual level - but I’d have no problem to be sufficed by a Nico-centric story.

It’d be lovely if through Will, we have the connection to Apollo/ Lester as the protagonist of the previous series, as well.

- Frankly, Will Solace and Solangelo practically have the most potentials LOL. They are both unexplored/ poorly-portrayed fields that hold a lot of materials to work on. And I know for a fact that a large number of loyal fans would want to feast in it.

I only hope they’re well-written and logical. If Solangelo turns out to be forced and poorly-written I might just bury myself.

That’s all I’ve got to say at the moment, I guess.

For the outro, just let me establish that, while I may have some qualms with the title, I’d refrain from commenting on and spreading information about the book itself - as long as it isn’t published yet.

A title doesn’t say everything about a book, so I’d like to keep the expectations/ worries in check while everything is still veiled. What I rant about the title does not stand for how I judge the book. We’ll get to it when I’ve actually read the final work itself.

While I'm waiting for that platonic yandere poll to pan out, I just want to say that it's hilarious how little I have to stretch to get the Whitebeard Pirates to be yanderes.

The literal first thing they do is pick Ace up by the scruff and just go "New son!" Until Ace stops biting and joins. And if that isn't some sketch shit lmao

Of course, it's fuzzed out with layers of daddy issues, self loathing, and discussions about what it means to be family but still...

Kinda makes it challenging to turn them into overt yanderes because the impulse is just to have their canon personas be the base rather than the mask as most other series have it. All those good intentions have a more sincere edge whereas good yanderes are horrific and scary as hell with very little good intentions for their victim.

You actually kind of believe they mean the best and are convinced that whatever fucked shit they're doing is right. Or at least that they believe that wholeheartedly.

Like, Marco is pretty chill. He's relaxed over the years but doesn't mind a challenge so him as a yandere is willing to play the long con. He gets that honey works better than vinegar and what better way to keep you than ensuring you never think you have to leave? I don't see him as physically violent, especially not in any permanent way cause it'd remind him that he can't heal everything. But certainly not afraid to knock you on your ass. Indulgent but never far. You likely wouldn't realize anything was wrong--which is exactly how he likes it. You, never afraid to be at his side and uninterested in leaving for any reason.

Whitebeard wants to see you grow as a person, so he's not liable to lock you in a room forever. And while he isn't afraid to match your violence he doesn't want you to be severely injured either. He believes in character growth through some (carefully watched) trails. But more than anything he wants you to depend on him for guidance and safety. If the world ever gets too much, he wants your first instinct to be running back to him. Preferably quickly because you didn't go far to begin with.

Ace is probably the most unhinged about it but he mostly gets by with unending support and charm. He only really raises his hand in training, wanting you to be strong enough he won't worry--which is never btw--otherwise he's eager to soak up all your attention. To say he doesn't like sharing is an understatement. And he would never lock you away forever... But on a short term basis for safety or a lesson? Absolutely. Does not like you leaving his sight. At all.

And for the last WBP I'm familiar enough with to declare traits, Thatch. A lot like Marco but more charm and less patience. Not as happy to do a long con but skilled enough with people he doesn't usually need to. You'll be besties in no time with no idea how closely you're being watched. Prepare for unusually healthy food and portions with dessert waived unless you eat all of it. Slightly more mother hen as well but passes it off as his profession. Any issue you have, he wants you to go to him for. Yeah. All of them. And you likely won't even notice how dependent you are. Even your suspicion or concern for any slips in his mask you end up telling him and he flawlessly distracts you from them until you just... Stop questioning him. Not because he knows everything but because he's just looking out for you... Don't think too hard about how regular your sleep schedule has gotten despite your best efforts. Thatch will just say it's a combination of good diet and great company.

Honestly, that's not even super stretching canon. I know shonen tends to be a bit... Closer to yandere level attachment than reality but this show makes it laughably easy.

cuddling headcanons part AGAIN this time with more details now in order of whatever i felt like

this is chronically self indulgent

Beffloofty (wow)

Like I said last time, they’re both plus sized and can’t fit in either of their average twin beds together, so I made the statement of them cuddling mostly while sitting. I am stupid and I need to put a scene in your head.

Take these two bitches. And take the way I interpret them (a raccoon and a bunny who are both plus size) and then cover them in sand. Raccoons and bunnies sunbathe (raccoons are nocturnal and do it in treetops during the day while they sleep.) These bitches sunbathe together on a big ass towel. How did I not think of this before.

Also Beffica’s got those fucky little raccoon hand claws that give her a more scratchy touch. Give your partner a back scratch while you’re sunbathing. Hit ‘em behind the floppy ol bunny ears. Let both of you be sensitive with each other since you’re both so secluded compared to everyone else.

Lizegg

Again a ship with one of those plus sized bitches, this time being Eggabell (a round ol chinchilla) and Lizbert (a muscular, somewhat bulky walrus.) Now I need you to envision chinchilla Eggabell and I need you to realize how fuCKING FLUFFY THOSE THINGS ARE.

All i’m saying is that the fluff is plentiful. I need Lizbert to come up behind her wife like “hehe im gonna spoon my wife >:)” only to suffocate in all that fluff. Eggabell is a mass of both just generally being fat and also being bountifully fluffy.

Aaaand Liz uses her like a pillow. Wrap your arms around your Egg, get your head in the crook of her neck, and relax. She’ll hold her back and be happy hearing Liz just… purr and relax. Liz’s hold is also incredibly strong, very firm, very nice. I love these two

Snorplo

For this interpretation, Snorpy is a skinny-fat bunny, and Chandlo is a bulkily muscular walrus. By skinny-fat, I mean he’s mostly lanky, but he’s got a bit of a belly with it too for lack of better phrasing.

Now let me tell you as someone with a skinny-fat-ish body myself that being squeezed and pinched a little is honestly really comforting. I need Chandlo to do that while simultaneously doing the Walrus Grump trademark of putting his face in all that goddamn collar fluff and havin a nibble. Thanks

Wigglefunny

Okay hello. Tall, skinny, very fluffy big-chested ferret. Small, plump, scoopable mouse. She is so able to just surround him. Lean down to that man when he’s having one of the harder times, stroke his cheeks a few times, calm him down. Scoop him up, take him upstairs, there’s no blanket. Be the blanket. You are 7’7” and have no reason not to just swaddle this man.

Hold him close and hold him tight. Make him feel secure. For a while, she feels like she has someone there who trusts her wholeheartedly, who trusts her to be there and hold him. She trusts him too. She knows no matter what, he’ll support her. She holds him closer. Nothing comes between them.

Eventually grab a blanket. Her breast fluff may be plentiful but he is a mouse and those things aren’t exactly known for fur.

Filbuddy (or in my case, Filscarla)

Filbo, deer guy. Square body type, kinda scrawny, and antlers that make it impossible for him to sleep on his side. Scarla, black furred horned person. Inverted triangle body type, a little muscular, and horns that face forward and either block out the sun or send it right into their eyes.

These two cuddling is absolutely hilarious because no matter what they do they’re gonna get into a horn lock. Somehow, in some position, Scarla will get their horns stuck in the branches of Filbo’s antlers and it can’t be prevented. Think of this. A tender moment. Filbo’s been having nightmares recently because he just does and Scarla’s there to support him.

They’re stroking the side of his body, near his hip. Like most deer, he’s got a little scut, and it’s doing a happy dance because they’re here with him. They lean their head closer to his, humming, smiling. Filbo smiles too, he feels… safe.

They try to pull away because their thick fur is overheating. Filbo screams because his antlers just got rugged on. Insert the next two minutes being spent escaping a horn lock and then sleeping facing away from each other.

Lottaham

Bull with side facing horns and raptor with nothing but fluff and feathers everywhere. Both have more square body types, with Triffany leaning towards a pear, but that becomes hard to distinguish because her legs are digitigrade. She’s also got a long fuckin tail and that is important.

Wambus is generally always the big spoon, that’s the easiest way when the height difference is 7’9” on 6’8”. But that ain’t gonna stop Triffany from being a goddamn hoot, she is gonna put her tail behind them and hold him closer, kinda just. keep him there. there is no escaping your pseudo-reptilian-bird-ish wife, especially not when she’s had a rough day.

Accept it. Put those hands around her, squeeze that little bit of fat that people have between their hips and the bottom of their abdomen that i can’t remember the name of right now, and enjoy the night. You are cuddling so fucking well.

Taskforce 141 + Los Vaqueros as D&D Classes

i am indulging myself wholeheartedly in this post i hope u understand. if u disagree let me know im curious to see what u think >:D might make a separate post for people like laswell, farah, etc

Simon "Ghost" Riley - he'd be drawn to warlock. not only does it fit his edgy dynamic, i think he'd really enjoy the duel nature of the patron giving the powers. he's probably spent a lot of his life not quite feeling in control, so it gives him a good way to experience that through dnd. might go down the pact breaker path and end up switching classes, probably to something like fighter/barbarian for the simplicity of it. could see him going down the gunslinger route, too, if given the opportunity. he gets super into the roleplay part of it, but he's very quiet to begin with. takes him a while to get into it. he would be such a dice hoarder, too. he's a crow.

John "Soap" MacTavish - this man is 100% an artificer, are you kidding me? the ability to make his own weapons/bombs is something he'd absolutely love. ka-freaking-boom baby, he would play a chaotic character who enjoys being an absolute menace during battles. hes the one who puts the dm through the most strife /aff but hes such a fun player nonetheless. is a little sillier during roleplay interactions, but he gets into it, too. he'd end up playing a smaller race like a gnome, and he would absolutely love it. where this man goes, explosions follow. this applies to dnd, too! he's tempted by bards, though, too, but hasn't had the opportunity to play one yet.

Kyle "Gaz" Garrick - i think he'd actually really enjoy playing as a rogue. hes good in game as a sniper, and i think he might end up playing a robin hood type rogue, rather than the edgy rogue trope. he would absolutely love things like stealthing around and sneak attacking during fights. his character would end up being pretty lawful good. it would take him a little while to get into the swing of roleplaying, as towards the start, when he begins to roleplay, he gets all laugh-y about it, he actually gets really into it the more he goes on. he's like ghost, ends up taking the roleplaying really seriously - commits to his characters morals well.

John Price - probably ends up going with fighter, most likely to play human fighter - but he'd be interesting with it! to begin with, he just wanted to play something simple so it didn't take much to learn, but he ends up also taking a leadership role in the game, too. would take him a while to get into roleplay, but towards the end, he gets really into giving big old speeches before they finish up the BBEG. i think his fighter would have the backstory of a veteran fighter, a man who's constantly known fighting, just like himself. the leader of the party.

Alejandro Vargas - barbarian, without a DOUBT. this man is a protector through and through, and it shines through even in dnd. he enjoys being the one at the forefront of battles, tanking damage and also hitting hard, at the same time. his character is the most like him out of everybody else's, gruff and gritty, but incredibly protective and loving. he's the one that's most likely to sacrifice himself for the others characters - and god damn, it would be emotional!

Rodolfo Parra - cleric/druid. this is a 50/50 for me. i think rudy likes to be a protector in a different way to alejandro, the ability to heal being something he loves. i could see him playing a super strong cleric, one with plenty of healing spells, but one that can also do massive amounts of damage if needed. he might also enjoy playing druid simply because i think he'd be interested in druid's magic, turning into animals and such. he's a shyer player, but he gets into it eventually - just like his irl self, his character is linked with alejandro's, inseparable.
