Good Morning, or Night as I think it is for you!
Happy to hear you enjoyed my very weird agents setup story dream thing.
The game of snake portion of that dream had killed me with laughter and was the main reason why I wanted to share the dream so it's nice to know you liked it too!
However, it looks like the dream did to you what it did to the 'agents' in it: misdirection.
The dream is about two people: an animatronic and human. Field Agent and person in the chair. (well i guess it still is an animatronic sona, there's just two new agents not one)
In the dream, the Agency had thought them being one and the same.
Remember when I mentioned wanting to add Neon Eclipse? Thats the animatronic.
To avoid confusion on saying Neon I'm taking my sister's nickname for him and now he is Agent Glowstick. (wont stop me from maybe doing a silly doodle later) Viper is still Viper.
I am still so very tired from having just woken up so I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day!
*relooks at your tags real quick and sees* #very lighthearted but the anime joker in the yt vid took me out
pfft this tag took me out. brain didn't even process that was what the background image was so thank you for that.
also imagining when Viper and Glowstick work for the Agency all the other agents are like "so this is the slippery fuck we never found- wait wait why are there two of them oh dear god"
: )
- Viper
I AM THE AGENCY CONFIRMED IM STUPID AND FORGOT ABOUT YOUR ECLIPSE!! head in hands I am. SO scattered GFHDJ I have no excuse I am simply all the distractable brain and none of the attention
BUT HELL YEAH ACTUALLY Oh my god a tag team - Glowstick and Viper give me serious "Someone will die." "Of fun!" vibes from their codenames alone hfjdks (tho Viper seems to enjoy those games very much also <3 So perhaps "Someone will die >:3c")
Funny thought of Robin only hearing about the Viper incidents, and upon successful recruitment heard through the grapevine it was a team, actually, so they go "wow how come no one noticed they worked in a team, smh so careless" while Sun/ Moon just look at them like. really. you of all people. you of all people make fun of agents thinking a tag team is one person.
Robin feels their gaze, and just goes "Shut up" because they realize the hypocrisy just a second later.
Also also also blue Eclipse blue Eclipse!!! Hell yeah hell yeah hell yeah he sure gonna look like a glowstick then hehehe
It's 6PM now - time for dinner for me! I have a bigger reply to an ask scenario in the works that I'll finish after, so not quite night yet (because I'm a weenie responsible adult who goes to sleep before 11PM) <3

Okay, a few thoughts on the trailer now that I’ve collected my thoughts a bit:
1. Between the shots of the crashed ship and Omega in the cockpit, it’s looking like a self-rescue on Omega’s part. At this point I’m thinking she gets herself and Crosshair out, and then, based on the shots of Cross with the batch, gets separated from him at some point. He rejoins the batch, and she is…somewhere else. Though I don’t know if that means she goes back to Tantiss.
2. It’s entirely possible that she gets got by one of the bounty Hunters in the trailer, and that’s what separates her from Crosshair.
3. I do think that it is Crosshair in the armor, but other possibilities include: one, Tech, who may not have his own armor anymore and needed to wear something protective on short notice, and; two, Hunter’s having a real bad time and is actually hallucinating Crosshair being with them. I don’t think that’s the case though—I think it really is Crosshair.
4. It’s also possible that those shots with Crosshair are from a little later on in the season.
5. Poor Omega’s going to be in Tantiss for months.
6. I swear Hunter looks like he’s lost weight. Like. I know a lot of the fandom is deep in the Crosshair and Tech are twins sauce (and honestly, I am too, I adore that head-canon and basically think if it as canon), but darn it if Hunter isn’t getting so drawn he’s starting to look a little like Crosshair.
7. I find it weirdly amusing that the half the trailer in which the bad batch actually features is mostly taken up by Hunter and Wrecker doing Adventure Man things. I get the sense they were scrounging to find shots of the batchers that weren’t massively spoilery (and they still put those shots of Crosshair in. Which, admittedly, is one of the things that makes me slightly suspicious of that being Crosshair at all, because that could be a misdirect, but only slightly).
8. I’m going to laugh if it turns out that Cid hired all of the bounty hunters we see to find Omega. Like, if that’s what she uses the money she got from Hemlock for, and she’s basically trying to get Omega out of the situation she got Omega into and goes a little overboard on the means.
9. Ventress! I’ll be honest, Ventress has never been at the top of my favorite character list, though I’ve warmed up to her quite a bit (I used to like the idea of her more than the execution), but I always love Nika Futterman’s performance, and I’m intrigued to see Ventress here at the very least. Because. How. She was very dead. Very, very dead. Not “fell into The Mists” dead—she had a funeral after being dead for months. My only thoughts are that were either seeing her in a flashback sequence that takes place before Dark Disciple, or it turns out that nightsisters can use their force magic to do some weird shit after getting hit by lightning. Either way, I don’t think she’s fighting Wrecker and Hunter here—that’s just some misleading editing.
10. Man, I hope Hemlock dies a lot.
11. Anyway, speaking of the dead and those back from it, Tech is so alive and I’m trying to not be the Smuggest of Gremlins until we for sure see him, but jeez are they making that difficult. (I checked the trailer release blurb on the Star Wars dot com page—it doesn’t mention Tech being dead. It just says the team is “scattered” after the events of season two. Like. Guys, you’re not even trying anymore.)
12. And more on Tech, I do think it’s possible—possible, mind you—that Tech is the guy we see in the clone X armor in front of what looks like the Archium. There are some small differences between that armor and both the armor we see on Clone X in season two, and the Clone X we see speaking later in the trailer—namely, the shoulder straps, what looks like a glass visor covering the two eyeholes, and *sigh* the pouches. And it’s the straps and the pouches that are giving him a bit more of a Tech-ish silhouette—especially the pouches, and especially from behind. If it is Tech, though, I don’t think it’s a brainwashed Tech at all (and honestly, it’s the pouches that make me lean towards not brainwashed if it is Tech in there, because a shin pouch is just a very Tech-and-not-blank-slate thing to wear).
I actually think it’s more likely that it’s Tech in disguise and having taken the armor from the Clone X we see later in the trailer (with some adjustments of his own), and that that’s what’s being referred to by the titles “Infiltration” and “Extraction;” Tech infiltrating imperial forces, and then the others having to get him (and probably the people of Pabu) out. And, if that’s the case, I’m banking on these shots being from the midseason. (I know I said I wasn’t going to speculate on the episode titles. That was aspirational.)
Basically, I could be persuaded that it’s Tech in there or that it’s not. I’m less likely to be persuaded that it’s a brainwashed Tech in there—I still don’t think that’s happening.
12. Whether that is Tech in that armor or not, I do think that the clone X we see speaking in the trailer isn’t the same guy in the armor in the Archium shot.
13. I am SO HAPPY to see Phee back THANK GOODNESS. I was a little worried they’d drop her like a rock, but nope! She’s here! She’s got her cool jacket! We see her ship!
14. There is a criminally small amount of Echo in the trailer, but I’m not giving up on seeing more of him. It’s possible that he’s either a walking spoiler, or that he features a little more heavily in the back half of the season.
15. “The Cavalry Has Arrived” is the most optimistic episode title in the whole damn show and, yes, I will die on this hill.
16. Crosshair. Oh, Crosshair. Someone please save him immediately.
17. There’s a lot of early doom panic around, well, everyone and everyone (especially Hunter) dying that I’m honestly going to ignore going forward. For reasons.

Beat the Champ-inspired fic prompts
Mostly wrestling-related cause duh, but can probably work outside of it maybe! Special thanks to @shes-a-voodoo-child because it only takes one person to motivate me apparently.
Send me a number and name/s to get a ficlet about...
1.) A red-eye flight or a long journey (Flew home from Texas last night // Slept on the flight) 2.) That moment before they rush forward from behind the curtain or preparing for something (Wait for your name to get called // Burn like hillsides on fire // In the squall of the ringside choir) 3.) Living up to their family legacy or a scene from their childhood (Born down in El Paso where the tumbleweeds blow // To the middleweight champ of all of Mexico) 4.) An experience that transcends language barrier/s (With the telecast in Spanish, I can understand some // And I need justice in my life, here it comes) 5.) Fight scene misdirection or “playing possum” in general (Strike funny poses, keep my weapon hand low) 6.) First team-up or first meeting (That was when we were young and green // In the dawning hours of our team) 7.) Falling unconscious (I stretch and strain with all my might // Drift off into the velvety arms of the night) 8.) A time when they got betrayed (Get stomped like a snake // Lie down in the dirt // Cling to my convictions // Even when I get hurt) 9.) A heel turn or turning your back on previous convictions (Throw my better self overboard // Shoot at him when he comes up for air // Come unhinged // Get revenge) 10.) Their reaction to fan reaction or meeting someone who’s heard of them but has never met them (Stay good under pressure // For years and years and years and years // President of the fan club // Up there choking on his tears) 11.) A reprimand (Two blinded in Detroit! // Something must be done) 12.) Overhearing a rumor, whether about themselves or someone else (Sometimes you get some heat, sometimes it follows you around) 13.) An injury (All that racket out there in the arena // I’m on a stretcher, here come the cleaners) 14.) A situation that blurs kayfabe and reality or losing control (Get told to maybe dial it back backstage later on // Everyone still in this building right now: dead before the dawn) 15.) A great loss (All gone, all gone // Watching it go up out front on the lawn // Stay on my feet somehow // I’m strong now) 16.) Figuratively/literally unmasking someone or discovering something new about someone (Crowd's half-gone, just a few hangers-on // Come to see me finally tear through the stitching at last) 17.) Figuratively/literally being unmasked or revealing a secret (And you don't care, you look almost relieved down there // Like you're free, like you can breathe now) 18.) Introspection in front of a mirror (But we were the real two // And when I'm alone // Before a mirror late at night // I will reveal you) 19.) How they feel about aging or a retrospective/future fic (Sit on my porch in Houston // Let the good times dance across my mind) 20.) A sacrifice they made for their career or a humiliation (Cheap electric razor from the Thrifty down the street // Two guys down around your ankles so you'll stay put in your seat) 21.) A love confession (I loved you before I even ever knew what love was like) 22.) Post-show conversations or a show of support (Some people leave before it's over, but most of them stay) 23.) A dream, whether or not it will be or even can be realized (Out in the parking lot you look up at the stars // And all the cheap cars)

reasons I think Tommy joining the Eggpire would be Neat
1. Gives cc!Tommy the chance to play a villain, which I think he’d fucking kill it at
2. I’ve said in a couple of posts how I think the Egg, and more specifically characters’ reactions to it, works pretty well as a metaphor for ignoring one’s own trauma, and well... *gestures to c!Tommy*
3. Look me in the eyes and tell me Tommy being on the same team as Antfrost, Punz, Ponk, and freaking BadBoyHalo would not be the funniest shit in the world
4. The Angst of c!Sam having to watch another person he cares about fall under the Egg’s control :)
5. The Angst of c!Puffy having to watch another person she cares about fall under the Egg’s control
6. Depending on whether or not c!Wilbur would be revived at that point I would be fascinated to see his reaction to c!Tommy getting possessed. Will he take it as a confirmation to his self-loathing fueled belief that he and c!Tommy were never good for the server? Will he dismiss the Eggpire entirely since he quite literally knows its not the end of the world? Will seeing his former friends and loved ones fall under the control of an eldritch parasite be the thing that motivates him to start Giving A Shit again after a decade of apathy in the void? Will said apathy and self-loathing cause him to fall victim to the Egg as well?
7. Puts c!Tubbo and c!Tommy on opposite sides of a conflict for arguably the first time. Yes they’ve had falling outs, but they’ve also always had a common enemy (usually c!Dream). How will c!Tubbo react to one of the enemies he’s fighting being c!Tommy, especially after having just gotten him back after grieving for him for the second time? Also, if c!Tommy is part of the Eggpire and its vines start spreading to Snowchester, that would put c!Tubbo’s loyalty to c!Tommy and his loyalty to his family in direct conflict
8. Maybe c!Tommy being involved will get c!Technoblade to actually start taking the Egg seriously as a threat lol. Seriously though I think Syndicate vs. Eggpire would be very fun I’d Like To See It
9. Speaking of the Syndicate, c!Niki’s reaction. She’s only just started to realize that her anger at c!Tommy was misdirected, how would she react to him being possessed? How would c!Jack react, given his reignited anger at c!Tommy following their fight at the hotel?
10. While writing this I remembered c!Tommy’s line in one of his most recent streams where he talked about how he missed the days when he just got to follow someone else’s leadership because it was so much easier than what he’s going through now and uhhhhhhh... Yeah. Lot To Think About There.
11. Seriously though can y’all imagine the flavor. The drama. Official unofficial "hero” of the SMP (whether he likes it or not) gets possessed and starts working with the season’s big bads (no pun(z) intended) to take over the server. For all of the conflicts he’s been a part of over his time on the server, c!Tommy is also the one who got everyone to team up to take down c!Dream. Like c!Ranboo said in his stream after c!Tommy’s death, c!Tommy made people think. He makes people care about things, because he never stops caring. c!Tommy doesn’t have the charisma or intimidation skills of other characters, but he’s good at bringing people together. Would that give him a leg up in pulling more people over to the Egg’s side? Or would we see c!Tommy unite the server once again, this time to take him and the rest of the Eggpire down?
TL;DR: Egg!Tommy when

MHA x Haikyuu!! brainrot, Men's VBC edition
@imnotafan-art you asked, I braindump!
1) Bakugo - wing spiker/Ace, because he's literally a cannon. Tremendous offensive abilities, and w while he's a good tactician I don't personally see him as patient enough for the delayed-gratification of setting.
2) Midoriya, on the other hand, is both crazy aware of all his team's capabilities and patient. Prodigy starting setter, sometimes needs work on confidence. (Bonus round for Midoriya and Bakugo having Junior High Issues, inverting Kageyama and Hinata's relationship on the court. No necessary shipper implications there, I am ship agnostic)
3) Todoroki - four words: Heaven Piercing Ice Wall (3 more: Older Sibling Issues, to extend the parallel). Strong with defense, has to be pushed into aggression but once he's there can produce. Middle blocker.
4) Sero - backup setter. Makes connections (hah) with everybody, cheerful trickster energy good for misdirection.
5) Tokoyami - a unique individual with tremendous powers behind the scenes/in the shadows. Libero.
6) Shoji - Probably a middle blocker, man's an Iron Wall all by himself. Could also see him as a wing spiker/outside hitter, he gives me that Asahi gentle-bear kind of awkwardness until he gets fired up.
7) Iida - wing spiker/opposite hitter. this guy's all about teamwork, making sure everybody's OK and good fundamentals. Workhorse/team captain.
8) Kirishima - wing spiker/opposite hitter. Steady, warm, everybody's solid rock, nobody knows he's falling apart inside but him. (Ennoshita, is that you? - well, ok, you maybe hit the books a leetle harder than our favorite Crimson Riot fanboy.)
9) Shinsou - pinch server. Smart, not the strongest or most coordinated, but full of surprises and determined to kick ass with what he's got.
10) Sato - wing spiker/outside hitter, lots of heart, loyalty and BALL SMASH, maybe not so much of the common sense.
11) Denki - backup libero. most likely to try to make ROLLING THUNDER! happen.
12) Ojiro - wing spiker/opposite hitter. Not a super strong sense of him, but get more jock vibes from him than Koda, hence, 12th man roster spot.
Bonus round: Teacher/Coach Edition
1) Hear me out - All Might is Ukai Sr, not Ukai Jr. Passionate verging on pathological love of the game, connects with the determined underdog in a way nobody else does.
2) Ukai Jr. is Aizawa, who has a Complicated (tm) relationship with volleyball because of his perfectionist and unhealthy - well, let's say mentor in this iteration.
3) Takeda is clearly Present Mic. Not open to debate.
4) I feel like you could make a case for either Momo or Jirou as Shimizu, but I'm inclined to go Jirou because Momo's more anxious than I get from Shimizu.
5) Ochako is not as shy as Yachi, but she is somewhat self-effacing and part of her journey is to start seeing herself as a badass and fighting for herself, so that maps to me.

Predictions
So as the movie approaches and things start to ramp up with Spider-Man NWH coming out tonight at Midnight. (and this being a fan blog) I have to set out my normal list of predictions for the Morbius movie. 1: Martine is definitely going to die. I’m willing to put money down on this. I just feel like it’s something they’d do
2: Morbius will not be in the Sinister Six. It just makes no sense for the character and feels like a misdirection. Even PG13 Morb is too bloody for Disney to want him in. I just can’t see it.
3: We might see Venom though. Personal thoughts about them teaming up as they work pretty well in the comics and I’m almost positive this whole multiverse angle will be used by Disney to bring over Venom maybe for future MCU projects.
4: They’re going to make him pretty neurotypical. He’s not in the comics, and no, I don’t take criticism. Morb shows heavy disassociation, hyperfixation, and a mess of other signs in the comics. Thinking about doing a slog through and post about it later.
5: He won’t be cured at the end. Sony wants him available do work into other projects so Morb is going to stay uncured.
6. Matt Smith’s character will be turned vampire like Morb but by the end he’ll be cured or deceased. 7. Tyrese Gibson’s version of Stroud will still be kicking to use in other projects. Also another prediction I feel like he’s going to be under utilized.
8: We’re going to get SOME kind of costume. No way do they keep him in street clothes for the whole dang movie. This is a comic book movie, it would be a massive oversight to not give him a costume.
9: This is not going to pass the Bechdel test. I don’t know why I’m saying this out loud. I guess just annoyed that in the year of our lord 2022 we can’t have more than one important female character.
10: We’re going to get at least one surprise. I am guessing A Spider-Man. Maybe this will take place during the havoc of No Way Home? Could be.
11: Things will end with the status quo being restored. Any major destruction or deaths will have minor impact on the world as a whole. 12: Post credit scene will feature a different villain. My best guesses are Black Cat, or Kraven. Blade will not be seen, Blade crossover with Morb I can’t see happening. I’d love for them to prove me wrong. Please.

Controversial take, but vol. 6 is the worst season bc its built entirely around fan service. Qrow's letter (IQ was popular), Ruby's proactivity, backstory at last, Ozpin's awful treatment, Bees, killing Adam, adults suck(tm), even Penny's return... just saving throws to keep RWBY alive. So everything failed in 7/8 bc fans thought they had been shown beats that mattered, but CRWBY never added those into their actual plan. Since vol. 6 began its all been misdirect, no one knows what to look at.
Putting aside my own very personal desire to not treat Ozpin and Oscar like that (because that’s where the bulk of my criticism stems from), I think Volume 6 is only a bad season retroactively. The concept of fan service isn’t inherently a problem, especially if the desire for certain things stems from the fans recognizing why that would be good for the show. People tend to reduce fan service to a purely negative thing, produced to appease the “rabid” fanbase, but fans aren’t pulling things they want out of a hat. They’re recognizing what things the story has lost (can our main character make decisions again?), what the story has intentionally or even unintentionally set up (these characters have great chemistry!), and what things might keep the story feeling fresh moving forward (maybe we need new combat ideas, like semblance upgrades). And that’s largely what Volume 6 is made up of, following the highly criticized Volume 5: a whole bunch of changes that were meant to both reintroduce what made RWBY great before and breathe some new life into a six year show.
Our title protagonist should have agency again, so Ruby starts making decisions. We really should know more about this world and the quest they’re on, so we get an entire episode devoted to lore. We need to make the grimm a threat again, so we introduce the Apathy. Penny, as an android, always had a good chance of coming back, so let’s do that in Volume 7, originally meant to appear in Volume 6. It’s not fans’ love of a character demanding that the story sacrifice something (like logic) to meet that desire, it’s fans picking up on the internal logic of the story (androids can be rebuilt) and extrapolating possibilities. Now, we’re seeing the same work going into Volume 9. The frustration that Jaune fell into the void in part stems from recognizing that our main team hasn’t had much development lately and has been separated a lot since Volume 3/sharing time with JNOR, resulting in few Team RWBY moments. A desire to make Sun a significant part of the Vacuo arc stems from the knowledge that he’s there, he was formerly an important character, he’s friends with our other characters, and it would overall make sense to incorporate him into this part of the story. Hoping that Qrow and Robyn get their own adventure stems from a desire to keep the story internally consistent (please don’t have them arrive in Vacuo within a day when the Atlas citizens supposedly couldn’t just fly off to safety) while the hope that they’ll be set aside entirely until Volume 10 comes from recognizing that our cast is bloated and we need to pare things down.
So much in Volume 6--giving us lore, introducing a SEW mentor, even acknowledging their headmaster’s mistakes to try and forward the protagonists’ growth--wasn’t bad on its own, but the execution failed horribly for some parts during the volume (Ozpin) and, more importantly, everything else petered out. As you say, the fans, myself included, had all assumed that this was going somewhere, but across two volumes we realized that RT didn’t actually know what to do with these plot points, they just threw them out and then... nothing. Things were either dropped or changed because they never had a real chance to begin with. How many times were we reassured that the group was going to reconsider their position with Ozpin and there would be a whole arc of growth, ending in heartfelt apologies on both sides? Just wait! Two years later, there was no development, no mention of it, and only one, quick apology to scoot that plot point off screen. How many times were we reassured that Penny was coming into her own and that resurrecting her/making her the Maiden was the beginning of a long, fulfilling journey? Just wait! Two years later, she had the powers for two days in-world, had her android identity stripped away, and then died again. The concept of new grimm didn’t have an impact because our group wasn’t fighting them in the Battle of Atlas/they killed the Hound in an episode, Maria as a mentor means nothing because she’s forgotten by the group and then literally forgotten by the story, Qrow’s relationship with Ironwood is tossed out for a kill threat that was then also tossed out for him to fight Harriet instead. It doesn’t feel like they planned any of this. The vast majority of what’s introduced in Volume 6 has no meaning or payoff. In reality, most things are actively contradicted by what comes next. What’s the point of establishing the horror of keeping the Salem secret if Ruby’s just going to turn around and keep it herself? What’s the point of establishing that the Lamp attracts grimm if that’s not going to impact Oscar carrying it around? What’s the point of spending a whole volume with Ironwood trusting them only to make him a cartoon villain at the start of the next? What’s the point of spending a volume emphasizing how much Nora cares for Mantle only for her to go start up Amity instead? What’s the point of Ren questioning their choices and supporting Ironwood if he’s just going to reverse course once his semblance upgrades? And on and on and on. Ideas don’t just disappear, the cast frequently does the opposite of what they should if those ideas had ever mattered.
The worst part is, I’m still seeing so many fans pushing the “You just have to wait” argument. The conversation surrounding Emerald is nearly beat for beat the conversation surrounding Ozpin. Sure, things were pretty rushed and the emotion of the scenes was all one note… but that won’t last! Just wait until next season when Emerald’s redemption takes center stage. And then if that doesn’t happen there will be lots of excuses—this was the spirit world volume, we’re not supposed to be focusing on Vacuo yet—with further confidence that it will all come to a head in Volume 10. And then when Emerald either dies or is left behind by the plot, those fans will realize across Volumes 8-10 that RT isn’t writing a planned, cohesive story, the same way we realized that across Volumes 6-8. The fan service itself isn’t the problem, it’s that RT introduced a ton of ideas—ideas the fans obviously wanted—and then didn’t have any idea what to do with them.

These new Dipp articles rolling out are fun. FunDipp, if I may. Love how the writer tries her best to say J/bitha was the obvious route, but, now...what’s this? Bughead? What do they mean by that! Betty and Archie forever! Veronica loves Pop! How dare you! But seriously, the “maybe” is the most groan-worthy part. This ain’t season 2, baby. Endgames are coming in hot.
honestly, anyone who is like b/a or j/t is the obvious anything is either trying to misdirect, a b/a shipper (most likely), or is like, buzz words, woo! because not even all of these writers are unaware of where it’s headed. the obvious direction is bugvarchie because any other combo leaves one of the mains to find a new character and erases 4 years of history.
at this point, they’d have to kill off one of the core 4 to even try to sell new pairings to the general audience.
these dipp articles are always weird because they slant whichever way the author does—excluding obvious soundbites to get clicks—and they contrast almost garishly with whatever the writer or whoever from the show is saying.
okay off topic but how petty am i allowed to be about this jacket thing? like, level 3 petty because i should be nice or level 10 because i got harassed by b/as and j/abithas about betty “not caring about jughead anymore”?
i just want to know where the line is? can i, perhaps, make a joke about betty wearing it to feel close to jughead while she couldn’t even feel close to archie while he was 3 inches inside her or nah?
(i am v sorry to the archie fans, he’s gotta take one for the team so i can be petty about being harassed, okay? okay. love you)
anyways, yeah. 5b is looking like it’s gonna be a bughead summer.

My wildest WandaVision Theory
SPOILERS for WandaVision..thoughout season 1 + several MCU films
This is the wildes theory I have had, I think. And I am 99% ertain this cannot be correct. But then again, I expect some surprise twists, so...
In this theory I focus on some things/details/facts from the MCU (and coming films) & some comics details & ignore others. And even though they like to use the comics as the building blocks for their films & shows, they do also change things up, so I do not expect them to follow the “comics canon” hence I’m prepared for surprises:
What we know of the MCU:
Infinity War events takes place in 2018. Wanda & Vision have had a secret relationship for two years by this time. And though many are wondering “when did he/they buy the property & how does that fit into all of their story”, I personally found that those “flashback” memory scenes filled the missing pieces from the puzzle grom past films. And it fits perfectly. With the “what if I don’t go back” scene, etc. I suspect that Vision bought that plot before the events of Infinity War. And Wanda was given the envelope along with other of his belongings after she returned from the Blip. The “love persevering” scene showed us how they connected & fell in love...while watching TV (he learned to be human also through the sitcoms & though her & she learned to not be so afraid of her “weirdness” thanks to him).
Wanda had to kill Vision in 2018, then see Thanos reverse time & bring back Vision only to kill him again...”for good”. Then she got Snapped (dusted).
When she returned “10 seconds later” she learned that 5 years had passed, and it was 2023. She didn’t find Vision next to her. But she had no time to process the Snap, Blip & losing Vision, because she was immediately thrown into the Endgame fight. (where she almost killed Thanos...until Tony used the ultimate “misdirection” trick and helped them defeat Thanos & his army for good.) Then shortly after she went to Tony’s funeral, where she had that lakeside talk with Hawkeye about those they lost (I still say that they were talking about Nat & Vision, because those are the losses that affected them the deepest personally, cause they were the closest to them)
Then a few days/weeks after that (just a few weeks after the Blip/she returned), and after she had been caught up on the 5 years she missed, and she was given his belongings, she went to SWORD to get him back/so that she could bury him (give him a goodbye ceremony). Then she created the hex out of her grief, when she was denied a proper goodbye to her soulmate (that whole things was, no doubt, a show put on by Hayward...that was made obvious in ep 8: and I’m still unsure about the colours: The “just died” Vision in IW turned basically gray, the “taken into parts” Vision on the disply tables was almost normal tone purple”, & the “brought back online” White Vision a week later was all white...with a “Tony’s triangle-shaped arc reactor element” instead of the Mind Stone in his head. The colours & small timeframe confuse me a bit).
Then she has been living in this “fantasy reality” for the past week or so...in real-world-time. Everything we’ve seen in WV has happened during a week or so in real world time. And for her everything from Scotland to WestView has happened in less than a month.
While creating the hex (from her red magic), she also created a Vision 2.0 (we have now been explained that she can create things “out of nothing”, not just transform them as Jimmy-Darcy-Monica suspected) from  her “yellow magic” I might be wrong, but I think the IW blast (and possibly the Sokovia experiment blast) not only awakened & heightened the superpowers in her, but that she was also blasted with the energy of the Mind Stone...the same one that gave vision life originally. So that mindstone energy has been “inside her” ever since & she “transformed it” into the new Vision. The Vision from her memories. and I think that just like her kids, Vision is “real” (how else can Hayward track the vibranium decay signature)...aka she created both Vibranium, and possibly a new Mind Stone even (though it is possibly he is powered by her magic alone & the stone is just accessory), but this Vision in this form cannot survive outside the hex.
We know that they brought up (via Darcy & Visions talk) that Vision is a mixture of many things. Part Jarvis. Part Ultron. Part Mind Stone. Part Tony & Bruce, and not only... We know that Vision has evolved thoughout his existance. And he wants to be/do good, and wants to be more human. But this Vision does not remember anything prior the hex because he was “rebooted”, so he does not have real memories of their time prior this really. And while he acts like her Vision, the hex Vision is not her old Vision either, really. Just one part of what made him him, and that made them connect.
We know that Shuri was able to download some of Vision’s conciousness/memories & would have been able to remove the Time Stone and still have had him live..if she’d had more time.
We know that Hayward has had Vision’s body (physical form) for a while, and he’s been trying to bring him back to life...for the purpose of using him as  weapon against “threats”. We saw that thanks to getting access to Wanda’s magic powers he was able to bring his re-assambled White Vision (colourless, soulless, empty shell...without a soul) back online...to life. What I want to know from finale is how did SWORD got  hold of The Visions body & what is that “iron man” arch reactor (triangle) in his forehead? Cause they have changed the design, a bit.
Why wasn’t he still in Wakanda (the vibranium he's made of belongs to them), or with Avengers (Tony was gone when he died, but he returned 3 months later & though the team has been busy lately, why was it not with them? I guess V. was transported there sometime during first two years after Snap, when Maria was still running SWORD, cause Tony/Avengers kinda trusted her. And he stayed there even after... Tony was one of the few who saw Vision as “human”, he was kind of one of his “kids”, so I think this is one of the reasons he didn’t want to hold onto the body himself. But he also understood that Vision had evolved, and that Wanda was the his “next of kin”, not him, so he was holding onto the body until she returned, cause I think he was sure/had hope they’d undo the snap. And I guess he trusted Sword/Maria, because he “trusted” Fury, hence he probably decided to let them hold onto the body. Unless Hayward used tricks to get a hold of it once he took over, since Avengers/others were probably focused on “Thanos”, so no time to deal with government baddies. Also, maybe based on the Sokovia accords the vibranium in Vision’s body belongs to the government, not Tony, hence he let them keep the shell? Cause based in Haywards comments they've had the body longer than past weeks... after Tony died. )
And we can be 100% certain that in the Finale the two Visions will fight each other. [sidenote: Paul Bettany is the best! I love his “inside joke” of getting to act with an actor he’s always wanted to have a scene with...himself...as Two different versions of Vision. It’s the best!] The questions remain: will both die...from Wanda’s hands and/or due to the hex collapsing? Will one die (hex-vision) leaving us with just the empty body without the soul (until in some future film they are able to unite the two). Or will they both kinda surive aka will they merge into one, and we will get our old Vision kinda back already?
I am also almost certain that White Vision in WV finale will be voiced by the same man, who voiced Ultron...that would be such a “shock” to hear. (only RDJ being the voice would be as worthy of an inside joke...cause originaly Paul voiced his/Tony’s AI, Jarvis & now he’d voice Paul’s/Vision’s AI...so opposite, but not as “shocking”)
I do not think both the Twins & Vision will survive. I doubt they’ll give Wanda a happy ending... like the sircoms she watched as a kid. So one has to “die”. Since they made it a big deal to show the twins manifest their powers...at age 10 (10 = X), just like their mom, Wanda did first...at age 10 (X = X gene), and there will definitely be X-men & mutants in the future of MCU, I don’t think they'd get rid of the kids after laying the groundwork (Billy & Tommy will definitely get access to their powers & help mom & dad fight the bad guys), so I’m leaning towards the kids surviving. Because she did not just create them, she gave birth to them, so I’d say they can/will survive outside the hex. As Monica put it: Wanda’s kids are real. And even if the sitcom reality looks fake, everything there is real (as real as possible...she actually created the materials & all)
One possible happy, but sad ending would be that both survive: Twins, who stay with her & Vision, who will not be her Vision anymore, but the empty shell. And since she “can’t feel him” in the new form anymore, that’s the sad part. That even though he, too, survives, he’s not hers anymore.
But there is another possibility...that the Twins won’t make it (and they’ll be reborn somehere later... or Wanda doesn’t know they survived, and re-united with their parents...just like in Parent Trap...). But Vision will survive..either as his old self or as just a shell. And that’s the unhappy ending... she gets Vision back, but not her Vision, not The Vision. And she has to help him evolve... it’ll take time for him to “have emotions”. But the twist will be that Wanda was and is pregnant IRL actually.
I am basing this on the timeline we have.
Because the events of WandaVision take place in 2023 (sometime in summer-autumn) & Spiderman 2: Far From Home takes place 8 months after the Blip & 7-8 months after WandaVision. Now...since it’s literally been just a few weeks since Infinity War for Wanda....what if she is actually pregnant? What if she was prior to the Snap? That would make her story here even more heartbreaking - sad, but also happy. Cause based on FFH we know the world is slowly healing from the events, but it’s not in full chaos, so there has to be a “pause” between now & then. Otherwise...Peter/SpiderMan would probably have been more sure about multiverse & there would be more chaos or something than we see in FFH?
And... the events of Spiderman 3 & Dr. Strange 2 will most likely take place right after FFH, so about 8 months from now, and we saw how everything “glitched” when she was giving birth inside the hex. So what if all hell breaks free when she does that in real reality then? And that’s what sets the multiverse events rolling in the upcoming films? Cause why is it happening 8+ months from the Blip/WV/now, not right away. It seems that she won’t be ripping open the multiverse just yet. If she were, wouldn’t Peter/Spiderman have had inside info of it being certain [he seems to not be in FFH, when he talks to the Fake Mysterio] Why will it happen only about 8 months from now? What’s the delay?
I know...crazy wild theory. But I’m just trying to look at the timeline here. Cause either she’ll just spend the next months recovering and/or practicing her new-found skills (her mom did not teach Agatha, but Dr. Strange will guide Wanda on her journey to learn to understand & use & control her powerful abilities) and hence the “calm before the storm” time. Or there’s another reason. And the timeline would fit. Though it could be 8 months simply because the FFH events had to take place during summr vacation... But the kinda calm state of the universe & the specific 8 months “timejump” in FFH makes me suspicious.
FFH also tells us that to the knowledge of general public the fallen Avengers include Tony, Nat, and Vision. But also Cap. So... either Old Cap dies soon of old age/somehow OR the informtion released to the public is not completely accurate. If it’s the first, then Vision cannot make it alive from WV (but could be resurrected at some future time, cause Wanda can create the soul, SWORD has the original body, and Shuri has some of his old database, so...) If it’s the latter then either it’s not the same Vision anymore, but a different one or they’ll just keep him a secret so that other Hayward’s won’t come after him to use him as a weapon. Until the show started I presumed that Vision is gone, for certain.
But...he’s not a regualar human, he’s part machine, so he is one of those characters they can bring back...even if in a different form. (question is: will they & would they.. would Wanda/Avengers do that...if it goes against The Visions living will? They could & would, I think..if the fate of the universe depended on it..if they needed him on their team)
Because...as they said in WV...it’s all for/because of the children...
And I know... he is a synthezoid (essentially a robot/machine). But... that’s the thing. In this magical universe the laws of our regular world don’t seem to appy (or rather: tech is so advanced it seems like magic?) at times. The thing is...he is not juyst a robot, an android. He is part machine, part human. And weve seen he’s evolved...beound what “parents” (Tony & co) thought was possible & what Vision himself thought was possible. He got distracted during a missio, because he developed feelings (at age 2 years or so). He’s been shown to be able to feel, cry (produce tears). So..who knows... maybe he can also procreate... with the help of Wandas magic (who can make anything she wants happen...). Even though logic tells me it’s not possible, and his tears etc are synthetic, and he’s kind of a  different species...then I’ve decided that the laws of the world as I know don’t have to apply exactly...in this world.
I mean...the MCU has a character whose mother is a human woman & father is a planet (in human form). Hence I’ve accepted that what I know to be impossible could be possible in this MCU fantasy universe. Hence I don’t question how or why could Wanda & Vision have offspring...for real.
THE END
PS. Once again...this does not fit the comics. This is not the simplest route. But it’s one of the wild theories I’ve had. And I wanted to share it. Even if I don’t think that it could become canon. If it were based on comics, then Billy & Tommy would be reclaimed by Agatha’s master & we’d know how & why all this...

Agents of Shield Rewatch 7x09 As I Have Always Been
First of all, we’re not going to discuss how many times I’ve seen this episode because...welll...the number is pretty high. But this is legit my #1 favorite episode of all time. This episode is an example of this show firing on all cylinders and just at it’s absolute best. And it’s really one of the last times we get to see our family all working together, and that’s where I think this show gets its strength.
Anyway, this may get super long idk I just have a lot of feelings about this ep.
The number of times Chloe must have had to film waking up in this thing is probably pretty high
Ok first things first, my very favorite thing is Sousa using that box of gloves as a pillow because having spent a good portion of my lower to mid-20s in labs I will not pretend like I haven’t considered doing that
“I was so much happier asleep” MY MOOD EVERY SINGLE DAY
94 km away...I’m going to try and keep track of these numbers
Sousa’s face at the smell of Deke’s 80′s cologne hahahaha
And now we’re in our loop #2 (but who knows the real number)
Ok, since I used to be a med tech (aka I worked in a hospital lab), I have questions about why they have so many green and blue tubes there. I mean...green tops are heparin tubes so I guess you can use those for basic chemistry tests, so that might be usable for multiple things. But those blue tops? That’s sodium citrate and the only thing I know of we used those for were coagulation tests. Which require some specific equipment. Does Jemma plan to run that many PT/PTTs?? And on what???
LOOK I HAVE A LOT OF QUESTIONS ABOUT THAT OK
And yes I remember those anticoagulants by heart still
The repeating title card is :chef’s kiss:
Daisy very quickly realizes she’s looping
91 km now
I’m wondering if there was something cut here by the way Sousa says, “See?” to Simmons as if we are missing some part of a conversation they had
My guess would be Jemma was all “You can go rest in your bunk you know Agent Sousa” and he’s like “Nope, gotta make sure Daisy rests” and Jemma’s like “...do you though?” and Sousa’s all “Yep. She will not do it on her own. Trust me.”
Maybe there’s enough for a fic plot in there
Ok, we’re now on loop #3
Daisy also very quickly realizes that she’s waking Sousa up with her boots and is very quiet so he can get some sleep
Awwww
I kind of wish I knew what May was sensing from Daisy right about now
I love love that Robo Coulson is so over this
The way he says “This guy” KILLS ME
So Coulson knows of 87 loops, but we know in this case Daisy didn’t wake him for 2 loops this time...we’re going to be doing some mathing soon lads
Also we just covered loops #4 and #5 since the ep started
Coulson says this is loop #90 which matches up still
And loop #6 for us now
Daisy was kind of loud there but didn’t wake up Sousa sooo...idk
79 km now
I love that Daisy realizes that to solve faster she needs the entire team
This must be loop #7 because Deke now says they are 65 km from the vortex
“It’s kind of hard to access” YOU DON’T SAY
And now people know about Jemma’s implant which...FINALLY
Phlebotinum is an amazing word bless
Making yourself cough like that seems like a rough day of filming
And directing
Deke’s face when Nana is dead though :(
Loop #8
It was sabotage!!!
But also Daisy died so we’re starting over memory-wise
Loop #9
48 km
Daisy legit forgot about her boots waking Sousa up too ha
Loop #10
And this time we wake up Coulson again
41 km
Enoch, Deke, and Jemma standing there is so freaking hilarious
Jemma is so done even though she doesn’t remember any of this hahaha
Loop #11
This is the one where we try to get Elena out and helping
Loop #12
Phlebotinum!
Sousa finally woke up on his own I guess
That smile when he says, “Reminds me of my SSR days” like
He lives for this chaos he just doesn’t want to admit it
Also look at him being a smart agent here
And let’s talk about the trust Sousa has in Daisy for a sec
He not just immediately believes her about the time loops, but he immediately understands what she is saying about what is happening. Thus he knows this isn’t really a sacrifice play because he’ll come back AND he’ll have saved her the trouble of forgetting. But also, he trusts her so implicitly that he’s willing to risk his life for her.
It’s beautiful y’all
And poor Daisy has to add watching Sousa die to her list of traumas cool cool cool
Although that does give me writing ideas...
Loop #13
Daisy immediately pops up to ensure herself that Sousa is still there napping away and like
I legit thought this was going to be the peak Dousy moment in this episode when she stops and just watches him breathing for a bit hahaha
She does not want to leave him there either and then the way she says, “We’re making progress” then adds a kind of soft “thanks to Sousa” like
Daisy is going through some stuff here
Coulson is going through some stuff too
Clark Gregg is killllllling this
And Coulson realizes that Enoch is the problem
“Oh dear” ENOCH HAHAHAHA
Loop #14
“Why do you care?” “Because you don’t”
Ummmmm MY HEART
But Daisy is not just accepting that he’s willing to die for her, she wants to know why now
Which obviously we will circle back to in a few loops or so
See, Jemma says she has to be awake to remove them implant...I guess the difference before was that Enoch wasn’t removing it?
Idk that makes no sense
Loop #15
Send in Sousa to distract Enoch
That “Hello!!” omg Sousa no
Sousa is surprisingly bad at this
Sousa’s muffled “Sorry” KILLS ME
As does Daisy’s face
Loop #16
Appeal to Enoch’s sense of irony
Loop #17
Have Jemma countermand her previous order
Loop #18
Bring in the whole gang
EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS KILLS ME
“Where’d he get all those weapons?”
Poor dead Deke
Them realizing it doesn’t matter because they’ll all come back
The way May looks like she’s relaxing
Sousa’s feet framing Daisy’s face
Legit this is amazing and I love it
Loop #19
“Actually, I can take a loop”
WE LOVE TO SEE IT
“It all phases me, just maybe not my face”
Ummmmm sir
Your face
While lovely it definitely gives you away
The saddest thing to me about this is that Daisy can’t seem to understand why he’s always willing to help and wants to watch over her. It’s like she still doesn’t think she’s worthy of being treated like this.
“Some of my favorite people are people like you” I CRY
Whew there’s a lot to parse here.
First of all, I think Daisy actually really likes that Sousa is seemingly not phased by anything (or at least, not super bothered by it) because her life is always going to be chaotic that’s just facts
Second, in this very short time of knowing her, Sousa definitely has her pegged. He knows that she craves other people, but is also probably a bit scared to want to be around other people. He knows she’s hopelessly stubborn, but that’s because she cares so much. And he knows that she needs someone to have her back no matter what, because she won’t have her own.
Of course, there’s also a personal element here as indicated by the next part of their conversation.
Also of note, when Daisy is pressing with the questions, wanting to know why he’s always there for her, she’s leaning forward while he sits back.
Now though, when the question is a bit more personal, she sits back in a very protective stance. I think she’s a little scared of what he’ll say to her question. Because she realizes that she likes him. A lot. And what if he’s just like a generally good guy and this has nothing to do with her?
But of course, it has everything to do with her as indicated by what Sousa says next. “Not for everyone. It helps if they’re fun to be around, and if they say what they mean, and if they have that super power where they can rock things around which is very impressive.”
And Daisy’s immediate response?? SHE SMILES. Like...this is what she needs and what she wants but what she’s been too afraid to go after. And here it is just falling in her lap.
Now that everything is out in the open, they are both leaning towards each other...
Also I love that she says, “That’s awfully specific” and he doesn’t shy away from her. He just agrees with her. They both know what that really means.
And they both like it
Legit here I was chanting KISS KISS KISS but I thought it was a missed moment
I am so happy I was wrong
So the new plan is to misdirect Enoch by having Sousa go in to take the implant out, but really Sousa is leading Enoch into a fight with him, Mack, May, and Elena and like what a squad
But also this was a super plan, and I wonder if Coulson was involved or if this was Daisy/Sousa original
Either option seems likely
“Next time, same thing but faster”
Daisy is really good at following instructions y’all
Loop #20
Daisy asks for help and Sousa immediately agrees to help and THAT IS WHAT DID IT FOR DAISY JOHNSON FRIENDS
Like...I know she’s feeling under the gun for time because Coulson said same thing but faster
But also, peak romance is someone just wanting to help her no questions asked which, given her history makes complete sense
She needs a constant, someone who will be there for her no matter what
I feel like this started in some ways with Lincoln. He was just so sweet and helpful to her. And granted he had his own demons to deal with, but in the end he was willing to give up everything to save the world and Daisy herself.
But he also showed Daisy that she could expect love and support and she was worthy of that (even if she doubted it later)
So here’s this guy, who’s just smart and kind and good and clearly into her
So, knowing that this could be one of her lasts chance to do this and realizing that at any rate he’ll totally forget about it anyway, she makes a move
And like this kiss?? It’s hot y’all
You can tell Daisy just like lol Imma kiss him, but then they are both caught in this moment and go back for me
But also he definitely led for that second kiss
“That was nice” like hahahaha amazing undersell Daisy
And then she traces his collarbone like whoa I need to fan myself for a bit
“Now we need to drop a space robot”
I can’t tell what Sousa is more confused by- that statement or the kiss itself
Imagine being Sousa though. You just got woken up by this beautiful woman who asks for you help then kisses you when you say “Sure thing.”
He’s truly living the dream
Oh also we’re 11 km from the vortex now
It turns out Enoch is the answer to all our problems
But also we have to kill him in the process :(
And then poor Simmons has a breakdown over leaving Alya presumably, but also she’s a better mom than me because after 3 years in space with one of my little super geniuses I’d be more than ready for a vacay idk
I love my kids but they are...a lot
And finally, Loop #21
I guess Daisy left Sousa to sleep for this loop
<1 km from the vortex too eek
Enoch immediately understands what is happening :(
I love that Enoch has reached the point where he feels like this entire crew is his family and would sacrifice themselves for him
Enoch didn’t feel lonely until he had friends :((
This whole thing is breaking my heart...not just Enoch in the process of dying, but Coulson actually talking about his deaths and Daisy having to try and process all this
“Yet, this is the nature of families. I have seen it countless times on countless worlds. People arrive so we celebrate, and people leave us, so we grieve. We do what we can with the time in between, but the cycle is always there. No one escapes it. Not even me.”
This really got to me. My family has changed a lot through the years. People have come and gone. Babies have been born. People have died. And nothing I do can change this cycle. Sometimes it makes me happy; sometimes it hurts. But nothing I do can change that process, and that’s not always easy for me to accept.
I think Daisy and Coulson are having a moment here too, where Daisy is telling both Coulson and Enoch that even though they are not human, that doesn’t make them any less alive to the people who love them
RIP Enoch, you were the bestest Chronicom to ever robot
And of course we get one last buzzkill with Nathaniel and Kora
Queen Kora you deserve better
Ok first some timeloop math. We saw 21 loops on screen, but loop #5 was loop #90 for Coulson. So if we figure Daisy died say...every 10-15 ish time loops and it took her 2 or 3 to wake Coulson up, we can probably add an additional 25 time loops or so. So we’re probably looking at around 130 loops roughly.
Of course this begs the question, did Daisy decide to kiss Sousa more than once? It’s possible. I kind of like to think she did.
First of all, mad props to Joel for nailing that death scene. He was absolutely incredible. And clearly this episode rates 1000000000/10 on the Dousy scale because like...everything. The talk, the kiss, the sacrifice...amazing. I was 95% sure I was getting ending Dousy after this. This episode also gets 50000/10 on the Teamwork! scale because our team did so well and were strongest when they worked together. And of course Enoch gets a 10000000000000000/10 on the Good Chronicom scale because he legit was the bestest Chronicom that could ever not-live.
Since we’re in a timeloop and not in a particular time period, I’m going with the Dousy-est of songs, “peace” by Taylor Swift.

so i just finished watching Boku No Hero Academia: Heroes Rising and i have Thoughts
this film was so good and so bad at the same time. i’m going to try to keep it as spoiler free as possible but i think if you have yet to watch it, just avoid this entire post completely.
what i liked about the film in no particular order:
1. the team work class A displayed throughout the film. i love, love, love the dynamics set out in the anime and continued through to the film. this class is special because although there are preferred combos of friends working together, for example kirishima is often seen with bakugo and froppy is often with uraraka, this film challenged those dynamics and the characters are versatile and are able to work well with any of their classmates
2. leadership shining through during different types of crisis/challenges. i enjoyed seeing Iida and Yaomomo leading the class. i realise i tend to forget that Iida is the class rep because often times it’s just emphasised in the school setting. he does take the lead during fights and the provisional exam but often overshadowed by deku. it is understandable but this film showed him actively leading the class to carry out hero work which is brilliant
3. the entire class definitely showed improvements and growth of their quirks. i enjoyed seeing kaminari using his quirk responsibly and efficiently. in contrast to his usual expansion of power for one killer shot and becoming useless almost immediately, he was shown time and again to effectively use his quirk and even being one of the key factors to deku and bakugo’s survival during the ultimate fight
4. deku’s leadership development. i think it’s very clear after countless fights that deku has inspired the rest of his classmates to do their very best and they even acknowledge his strength. in the past everyone was sort of on the same playing field because he was still struggling to cope from the side effects of his immense power. but i think this film really showed how they valued him as a classmate and as a leader. he has more confidence now and really i think the rest of class 1A is willing to follow him till the end of the line
5. teamwork during fights. ok i did list it as my first point but i’m going to go back to it again. there were many fronts of fighting in this film and my heart swells with happiness when i see how each and every one of them was so ready to respond to the crisis and just Get The Fuck To Safety.
In the early seasons of the anime everyone sort of had the mentality a hero’s job is to fight a villian. but from their experiences, top priority has now changed to saving everyone and getting Everyone to safety. by everyone, means even the heroes. the countless close saves and prompt misdirection to just Yeet The Fuck out of there to save their classmates was A plus. They have gotten it down to a T to save anyone and everyone out of harm’s way. Really endearing 10/10 character developments. Class 1A is really top hero quality
What i disliked about the film in no particular order:
1. the clear push and agenda for bakugo and midoriya friendship (comaraderie?) i know i’ve gushed about how all the students of class 1A had brilliant development but the amount of time and focus given to bakugo and midoriya was a bit much to the point of cringey. like i Get It that they are rivals and have to work together against a common enemy. but it was at the expense of really pushing everyone else away.
there’s somewhat of a dream team set up in the anime which was midoriya, bakugo, todoroki, Iida and maybe kirishima? like ok at least todoroki is part of this stronger dynamic. but he was Pushed Out of this dynamic leaving only the two most estranged pair to fight the main guy alone. which is a bit Much. i really don’t want to spoil it but if you watch the film, you’ll know what i’m talking about.
there’s just one point my friends and i literally went “WHAT IS THIS. WHY” In the theatre i kid you not.
2. the stamina of class 1A for some reason is very low??? physical stamina that is. also all of a sudden todoroki is very weak??? both physically and in terms of battle readiness/quick thinking?? it wasn’t as if the villains felt overpowered in any way. like i felt the nomus they had to face were far far worse but i don’t know why in this film they were painted to be exhausted very quickly???
3. too much/too forceful in the being a hero agenda. like i get it, midoriya inspires kids like kota-kun that hero’s aren’t so bad. idk why maybe cause i watched season 4 and saw how not so forced it is to be pushing the hero agenda when saving Eri. but seeing the older sister kick up a fuss about hating heroes and then midoriya apologising just feels a bit much. bakugo had every right to be annoyed.
i felt the characters can stay the same but a different dialogue perhaps or a different back story with their dad could make it seem less forced or awkward. like maybe give some basis and reason for the sister to actually hate heroes.
4. todoroki was very weak??? i’m repeating point 2 because i am Mad about this. How, tell me how on earth did he perform so badly? it’s like he’s just creating ice for fun instead of fighting. the director or animators didn’t do justice for him in this film considering how strong and smart he is in the anime. he really took a step back here.
5. poor resolution of the film and poor use of the small kid’s abilities throughout the film. when midoriya made the decision to do what he had to do, i was convinced the way to correct and resolve the conflict was with the help of the new quirk introduced of the small kid. but NO. by the power of plot armour and magical fairies in the anime world, the film was resolved Just Like That. The potential of the new quirk and the crazy move done by midoriya was just thrown in the wind like a random thought never to see the light again. at least for the previous film midoriya made full use of the gauntlet he was gifted. this he just used the quirk for recovery and that was it.
ok that’s all for now. maybe i’ll add more in future. if anyone has watched it i would like to read your Thoughts.

For the fav Characters ask post: thx!
(tbh, you didn’t even get half way through just the tv shows lol -- no books or movies for you!)
8. Ben 10
Hmmmm, this is very hard. There are so many different series to choose from, and a ridiculous amount of characters.
(Summary: 10 year old gets a watch from space and has to protect the earth (and later the universe) by turning into different aliens.)
Character:  I love the *idea* of professor paradox, but Ben in Alien Force and Ultimate Alien is probably my favorite.
Head-Cannon: May be cheating, because it’s not technically about Ben, but I love the idea of Big Chill’s little necrofriggian babies showing up again. I think it’s hilarious that Ben could just randomly run into one of his little alien children out in the universe, and he just has to accept that?? Plus they’re all super cute.
The Show: All of the aliens are so unique! My fav has to be Ultimate Big Chill but like XLR8 was so cool, and Ditto is such a useful alien. (Also: the fact that Rath’s species is supposed to wear clothes and Ben just never did because he thought they walked around naked just cracks me up.)
Tumblr media
14. Cells at Work!
I didn’t plan this I promise, but I’m so happy this show was picked! I just got into it and it’s awesome.
(Summary: Follow a red blood cell and a white cell as they complete their duties inside the human body.)
Character: The main white blood cell (U-1146) is by far my favorite. He’s such a sweetie pie and then immediately murders the thing next to him. I love him.
Head-Cannon: Other cells often stay out of wbc’s way because he’s scary/dangerous; they’re always shocked when sweet Red Blood Cell goes over and hangs out with him. They think she’s somehow not afraid of anything. But all of White Blood Cell’s buddies can see that he’s very much in love.
(Oh Geez the absolute worst one I came upon was based on the fact that red blood cells live so much longer than white blood cells. I’m still sad about that fic days later)
The Show: 1146 & 3803 are so cute together. Also, I think I learned more watching the show than I ever did in the 3 biology classes I’ve taken. Also!! Watch it in English, or at least listen to the English version of the theme song!! I’ve listened to it 30 times in the last week, no exaggeration.
Tumblr media
22. Dead Like Me
It has been forever since I saw this show, but the concept is great!
(Summary: Georgia (George) is killed when a toilet seat falls from space and kills her. She becomes a grim reaper.)
Character: Regina “Reggie” Lass. She’s George’s little sister and for a while became obsessed with toilet seats after George’s death, covering a tree with them in a shrine. She’s quite the little girl and certainly knows what she wants.
Head-Cannon: Reggie leaves letters for George when she comes to visit. She knows no one else can see her sister, and even she has trouble recognizing her. Reggie and George manage to become friends in her new life, even if neither of them ever acknowledge their true relationship.
The Show: This series is both interesting and makes you want to cry. It’s such a good way to explore death, and the depictions are beautiful. Particularly the little girl’s death towards the beginning of the series.
Tumblr media
37. Galavant
My housemate got me into this show, and while it’s not my *favorite*, it’s certainly worth a watch.
(Summary: A meta musical set in the age of castles. Follow a retired folk hero being dragged back into shenanigans.)
Character: As pretty as King Richard is, Sid’s my fav. The cliche sidekick who comes from the best town ever.
Head-Cannon: Sid could easily have done everything on this quest. He only dragged Galavant along because he wanted to see a “good” man back on his feet. Also, him and Isabella are best friends, don’t @ me.
The Show: Not gonna lie, the songs are great, but I love all the 4th wall breaks even more. Plus the thing between the Dwarves and the Giants was great.
Tumblr media
53. Kuroko’s Basket
As honestly terrible as this show is, I love it. I probably couldn’t rewatch it, and I almost didn’t finish it, but I just love the Miracles too much. (well, most of them)
(Summary: A team of overpowered basketball players gets split up when they go into highschool. We follow the phantom 6th member.)
Character: Kuroko, duh. Just look at his face. He has no idea how to make expressions and he’s adorable. Next question.
Head-Cannon: Kuroko *totally* knows how to turn off his power. He deliberately keeps up his misdirection to mess with Kagami. He’s aiming for getting him to scream like a little girl in public.
The Show: The ridiculously over dramatic *everything*. Now, Haikyuu!! Is a good sports anime, well-done and not too crazy. Kuroko’s Basket is not a good sports anime. Everyone’s got like superpowers and its as if they took a 90’s shonen anime and stuck everybody in a 20 ft square and wouldn’t let them leave. I didn’t learn anything about basketball, and I didn’t want too. I was there to watch Kuroko secretly be a jerk and that’s it. That said, it’s great to make fun of.

My theories proven/disproven/thoughts, and thoughts on the trailer.
1. Looking for Vera will be the season goal. Well...its seems to be a goal, but it all seems to be building up to stealing/trying to steal the crown jewels.
2.  Carmen’s love interest will me made clear: Julia, Graham, or no one. Well, since neither of them were in the trailer at all!!!!!!! I don’t know. Could, still, be misdirection (Again with the SPOP S5 observation I made)
3. Zack will get an episode where he saves the day. Well, we don’t see him alone in the trailer at all, only helping out with ground support and (possibly) finding Carmen or something? Unknown
4. Julia will take initiative over Devineaux. WELL SINCE SHE DIDN’T SHOW UP IN THE TRAILER and Devineaux did-! I don’t know. Could be misdirection..
5. More ACME-centric. Mmmmm. Seems like the same balance, VILE showing up maybe even a bit more.
6. VILE will take more of a backseat; however, the fewer attacks we’ll have will be more ferocious. Still yet to be seen, but I don’t think so.
7. VILE House Hunters. Maybe for a little bit, but it looks like they settle down in some unknown castle. You know. Discreetly.
8.  Roundabout content! We’ll see him in action. Yes yes yes! Totally more Roundabout in S3!
9. As much as I would love more info on Player, I don’t think we’re going to get much/any. Remains to be seen (we did get some info on his family in Secrets of the Silver Lion, though!)
10. Maybe some background on Chief? Unknown.
11. Based on the end of the Crackle Goes Kiwi Caper, ACME will interact with Graham. Again, unknown, but maybe this is why he wasn’t in the trailer...
12. Julia and Carmen will have a different sort of relationship after Stockholm/the hack. *Inhales* WELL
13. Hoping for some silly Shadowsan-Zack ninja training. Unknown again, but this season does seem more focused and serious.
14. Based on the flag teaser from Twitter, I’m hoping we’ll get an episode in Venice. (However, they already did have one in Milan..) Yes! Yes! Yes! Pretty sure that was Venice in the trailer! Yesssssss
15. Hoping for some more angst, as both VILE and ACME’s main directives are now taking Carmen down. *Glances at Carmen getting electrocuted into unconciousness and nearly getting hit by a car and gettig bola’d to a pole and fighting a bunch of people* so
16. Based on 15, maybe Carmen gets captured? This could also be Zack’s big moment, or a turning point for, perhaps, Julia or Graham (if he were to be recruited). So, maybe. Maelstrom says “Who will escort our little lost sheep back to VILE?”. Also, again, electrocuted into unconsciousness.
17. Counting on a small return/mention of the Duke, as he was mentioned in passing in the Need for Speed Caper. Unknown.
18. More. Fancy. Outfits. OH MY GOD I AM LIVING FOR THAT STAR OUTFIT JDJHHHHHH
19. El Topo and Le Chevre...doesn’t everyone want them to get together? weLL since they weren’t in the TRAILER
20. Vera Cruz...I don’t know if they will find her, or if she’ll be alive. To add such a potentially important character in S3, especially after Shadowsan, might be strange. Unknown again; though who is that buff lady who kicks the crap out of Brunt? Hmmmm
21. Building on 20, maybe Carmen will have a “my team is all the family I need” moment. Sounds like she’s still very adamant about finding her, from sneaking in to wherever to Ivy telling her they’ll find her
22. Hoping for some cool, deadly new operatives! Yeah!!!!!!!! Flytrap and Spinkick, plus electrocution lady, and perhaps a few others. (Also, lots of Neal, it seems!)
23.  Return of Mime Bomb. Yeppers yeppers yeppers!
24. Perhaps a stuck-together-for-survival situation (either Team Red-ACME, TR-VILE, or VILE-ACME). Didn’t see a hint of anything like that, but who knows.
25. I know we all want backstory for Ivy and Zack, but they got their little moment in S2, and their “family over career” moment. WELL- who was that lady? The one who sounds like Ivy, then Ivy-Julia, then Julia. You know the one. Maybe she’s family to them?
26. However, maybe Chase’s backstory? It seems to be quite a popular theory that he used to smoke (hence the mints). Maybe this will cause us to be more symathetic to him. Unknown again.
OKAY, MISC. THOUGHTS ON THE TRAILER!
-Again, yay glasses zack!
-Hideo! Hideo’s back and helping! It seems he was either wearing a mask or helping steal one.
-Pirate hat Carmen!
-I am in love with all the masks
-Wrestling lady!? Whomst!?
-The guy talking to Tigress was at C Cleo’s dinner party. The painter, I think.
-Spinkick and Flytrap seem pretty cool, actually.
-Carmen’s reflexes seem so slow? She couldn’t avoid the loud whistling bola that tied her arm to the pole or think to drop (if possible) the thing that was electrocuting her into unconsciousness
-WOW That car did not slow down or anything, just honked
-Again! The star outfit! Oh my goodness gracious!
-Hey! Tigress and Paper Star working together, that’s going to be really interesting!
-Mime Bomb finally learned how to run
-Suit Chase is not horrible. I’m not thrilled. But its not horrible.
-”You care too much.” WHO ARE THE ROSES FOR SCREAM
-Most impossible heist keeps coming up. Again, like many, I think its the crown jewels.
-Hahah Zari looks so done when Carmen just zooms past
-ACME Graham is totally something I want to see. Maybe thats why we don’t get many ACME clips. Maybe he’s partnered with Julia...
Very very excited!!!!!!!! Its not what I was expecting but I’m very anxious to see how it goes. October 1 can not come soon enough! That was a really long rant and lots of stuff but I’m reallly really excited really really

Top 10 Best Rwby Fights
Waiting for the new volume, thought I would rank the top 10 Best Rwby Fights so far.
Ranking under the cut.
5. Food Fight (Best Day Ever)
Tumblr media
This is absolutely delightful, just eight friends dicking around and playing with their food. It's the only time we ever see Rwby and Jnpr go head to head, and different team members with different styles are pitted against each other (Ren and Yang, Pyrrha and Blake) as well as people with similar styles (Ren and Weiss, Nora and Yang).
The ideas was very simple, 'let's just have a stereotypical food fight, but with warrior children' and everything about this episode conforms to it to create an amazing display. I mean, they even remake their weapons with food, and use their semblances to give themselves an edge!
It's fast paced, and keeps up it's rhythm throughout, never faltering. It's as fun to watch as I assume it was to write and animate.
4. Rwby vs. Paladin (Painting the Town)
Tumblr media
I have always been incredibly fond of team fights; of multiple people being so in sync that they just mesh together in battle, and Team Rwby vs the Paladin in Painting the Town is the very first example of this. While Yang is the one to bring Roman down in the end, it's the team's dynamics that severely weaken it.
Bumblb, Checkmate, Ladybug, Freezerburn, Ice Flower, all these attacks combine the two girls unique fighting styles to create something completely new, and it's great. It's a shame that these never come up again, because it would be interesting to see how they changed from then.
3. Pyrrha vs. Cinder (End of the Beginning)
Tumblr media
Pragmatic fighting is one of the best forms of fighting, of using the area around you to your advantage to try and win a fight, and holy hell, is it used here. Cinder is basically a demigod now, but Pyrrha is still ready and willing to throw down.
Cinder is stronger than Pyrrha but Pyrrha's prodigal combat training means she can keep up with Cinder as they both try and get an edge over their opponent.
Pyrrha using the clock pieces to try and kill Cinder on the tower is amazing, as is Cinder summoning the dragon to distract Pyrrha. Neither of them are fighting fair, and it's great, because that is what a fight to the death should look like. No wondering about playing fair, of hesitation, they are both trying to kill eachother.
2. Neo vs. Yang (No Brakes)
Tumblr media
Ah, Neo. When I first saw her, I thought her design was interesting, and then kind of put her out of my mind. I didn't even know who she was the first time around, it was only when I rewatched the series that I realised the girl from Painting the Town was the same from No Brakes.
Yang's style has always been pretty generic; just basic punches and kicks with some explosions thrown in between. Nothing wrong with that, it's always good to have a brawler, but that kind of ridiculously offensive fighting, trying to force a weakness in your opponent has it's downsides.
Enter Neo, who, in the span of three minutes, stole my heart. Her style is ridiculously simple, and the complete opposite to Yang's; she stays on the defensive until an opportunity presents itself, and she focuses on momentum, not brute force. Her method of dodging is usually just . . getting out of the way, usually by twisting and sidestepping. It’s as straightforward as you can possible get, but mixed in with Neo’s acrobatic fighting style, is very, very effective.
Yang is also amazing in this. There are several points where she changes her own style to try and catch Neo, only for it to fail, because Neo is just that good. She manages to actually grab Neo at one point, but Neo uses her momentum to escape unharmed.
The writers and animators had a blast doing this fight, from Neo using her umbrella to temporarily blind Yang with flames, to Neo sitting down in the middle of the fight on a crate. That last one is especially important as it shows that CRWBY were paying attention to the background during the fight. Neo is such a beloved character by the fandom for her incredibly graceful fighting style. Almost everyone else has this over the top, flashy style, and so nobody else in Rwby has a style like hers, which makes her, and all her fights, incredibly memorable.
1. Neo & Roman vs. Ruby (Heroes and Monsters)
Tumblr media
Remember how I said I loved Team Fights? Well, Neo and Roman put Rwby and the Paladin to shame.
Ruby has superspeed, a spinny scythe and plot armour, yet she still spends the entire fight getting her ass kicked. She doesn't even win by herself, a Grimm is the one to finally end it.
The choreography in this is absolutely incredible. When you get down to it, Ruby's fighting style isn't actually that special, she mainly relies on her speed to get her through it all. But Neo and Roman aren't having any of that shit; dodging and misdirecting blows easily.
The two criminals are so in-sync, unlike with Painting the Town, they don't have to call out their attacks for the other, they just  . . . do it. There's one part where Ruby lunges at Roman, only for him to duck and allow Neo to use him like a gymnastics horse. There's another where Roman slams his cane into the ground, fire off a shot to hit Ruby in the face, and then shoot her again.
This is how you choreograph a fight scene with more than one person. It's things like this that make other fight scenes so disappointing, because this shows you just how amazing Rwby can be if they really try.

Quick thoughts on Spider-Man: Far From Home:
CUT FOR SPOILERS
- 90% amazing. Had a great time at all the Teen Summer Vacation Comedy moments, it was a great genre blend for a Spider-Man film. So many great references and call-backs. I laughed a lot.
- The 10% is... hard to express without sounding like someone who is just disappointed their theories got busted, which could (in the movie’s defense) very well be the case.
- Let’s just start by quickly saying there was a similar sense of disorganization around the broader progression of the MCU via “Mysterio” that I felt in Captain Marvel, where now that the cinematic universe has gotten so big and could go in so many directions and have such heavy expectations placed upon each of them, sometimes it leads to jumbled motivations and story beats for the film.
(Like in Captain Marvel it felt like the film was trying to pull double duty telling a story in space and a story about Carol and even triple duty with a story that advanced the MCU. In this case it felt like we needed to mourn Iron Man, advance Spider-Man, introduce the next possible wave of villains (which turned out to be a fake-out with the multi-verse, which left a bit of a sour taste in my mouth but I’ll get to that later), etc etc. So many possibilities of what it could be and what is going to be teased that some scenes seem set up for Misdirecting Trailer Moments in a very distracting way.)
- To that point, one minor critique I have of Mysterio is he felt a bit split on how much he liked Peter Parker. I think, personally, when they found out how much chemistry Holland and Gyllenhaal had, they should have leaned into it more and done some re-writes (or more re-writes than they did). Obviously Gyllenhaal adored chewing the scenery during the Villain Reveal of Exposition in the middle, but it was at the cost of some of the later emotional beats between him and Peter because he came across as so cartoonishly villainous, in contrast to his earlier hero persona. As such, it was hard to get a finger on just how much he really regretted the prospect of killing Peter.
- Basically, it felt as if the script just planned Gyllenhaal’s character to be a Delightful Asshole, total evil dude who wants to be a bad guy to fill Iron Man’s shoes, very much in line with the Civil War ultimate “bad guy” of a person who is just obsessed with a hero and thus trying to bring him down or take his place, and as such had many of his flaws too.
- But because Gyllenaal seems genuinely distraught at the prospect of having to kill Peter, I feel they should have just gone with that sentiment a little more strongly? Maybe instead of him just seeming to crave becoming the next Iron Man for... idk, glory reasons? It’s not really made clear except that “being Iron Man” would be desirable and makes him Peter Parker’s foil with a similar goal gone about the wrong way? IDK, anyway, I think they could have given us a beat of him genuinely believing he could help people better than these, admittedly, rather damaged and/or immature heroes!
- Like, it’s not unreasonable to look at Tony Stark (given his issues) or hear Peter given his immaturity (I mean, it’s unkind to say, but Mysterio basically saw him do nothing but whine about how he just wants to go on a date with this girl) and think, “Holy shit, I can do better than this! The world is at stake!” Especially if you’ve got your own team of smart people to help you that you trust.
- Basically, his big cackling Villain Reveal scene was great! He had some legit, if unkind, critiques about the MCU heroes that leant weight to the moment and believability to his motivation! He seemed to genuinely like his team! Their plan was unorthodox but made a certain twisted sense!
- The scene after that, in the theater? Wasn’t so great. In that scene when he threatens his own team and his motivations go from wanting to “Be Iron Man”  to... what? Glory? Presumably they’ll make a lot of money, though how isn’t really clear and it’s sort of quickly dropped as a motivator. Given money was mentioned as a motivator, I’m a little surprised his team didn’t revolt when he started getting creepy about the whole thing. Also, helping people as a potential motivator kinda went away when he stopped caring about casualties.
- Anyway, that scene also kinda ruined a lot for me because it became a bit... masturbatory on Marvel’s part? A little too, “Look, we’re making a Marvel film about making a Marvel film because we’re such a big cultural touchstone now, aren’t we clever?” with how Mysterio’s suit is literally exactly what Marvel actors who do CGI wear behind the scenes? I loved the callback with the Iron Man 1 engineer being there, but overall that whole scene just took the magic out and reminded me this was a Marvel movie, because the movie itself wanted to remind me this was a Marvel (tm) movie.
- As they say in Inception, it’s dangerous to remind the dreamer that they’re in a dream while they’re in the dream. Sometimes it can be pulled off, but normally it just takes them out of the dream entirely. Such is the rule with 4th wall breaks, no matter how clever.
- Which gets me into my Big Issue with the film which maaay just be Disappointed Fan and less Artistic Critique.
- I wanted multi-verse. Failing multi-verse, I would have accepted magic over technology as an explanation for Mysterio’s power, which is rare for me because I usually prefer the tech explanation.  But there was a moment when Peter is on the run from Beck’s illusions where it just wasn’t working for me, why? Because it was all drones.
- This is a universe with Dr. Strange in it, there’s no actual reason Mysterio’s power couldn’t be magic instead of tech.
- THAT SAID, the use of the projector tech we last saw in Civil War and the critique of Tony’s use of it, was an excellent callback and meshed nicely with the larger message of the film which is, “what to do now that Tony’s gone?” Which is the question the Marvel universe creators are facing right now (and again, struck me as a bit masturbatory like, we know you’re struggling with this question but it takes me out of the film a bit when you make a film about not knowing what to do next with the MCU?)
- THAT SAID, having them be drones instead of illusions made me feel during the fight scenes like I was watching a highlight reel of moments that would be “really cool in the trailer!” because they’d misdirect what was really happening, making the audience think it was magic instead of tech in order to conceal the Big Reveal.
- Furthermore, the drone use raised a lot of questions like, uh, “spider senses” aside (which we’re apparently not saying for some reason?), what about sound, smell, touch, heat, taste? Is this drone wired into Peter’s nervous system? Why are they so convincing that he behaves as if he’s in a full sensory illusion (like if the illusions were magic) where we can never truly be sure if he’s awake, when this is all just Industrial Light and Magic technology at best?
- So yeah I get it, magic is so passé, drones are cooler I guess, even if how they work so effectively with just projectors and guns makes zero sense. Mysterio is calling the plot of a Marvel movie with elemental creatures attacking dumb, thus reminding me I’m here watching a dumb Marvel movie, which by extension feels like calling the audience dumb for being here.
- I dunno, am I crazy for wanting there to be a bit of magic? Or failing that, a bit of heart instead of a guy just villainously trying to get the perks of being a superhero by manufacturing the whole situation, never once asking if there’s good he could be doing or having deep second thoughts about the cost given a kid he genuinely likes will die if he continues with this plan?
- Many of the scenes even looked as if they were directed and shot to be magic instead of tech, that leads further to the schizophrenic “made for the trailer” feeling of a lot of scenes, as if they were designed to be taken out of context.
- I mean, it really was just the Iron Man 3 reveal all over again - there is no Mandarin, it’s just an actor with a guy behind him trying to become the next Iron Man. Except we’ve already had that reveal so this one felt repetitive. A more surprising reveal might have been, I dunno, Mysterio is a normal person who really does want to be Iron Man for altruistic reasons and just goes wrong along the way so he can have an honest emotional connection with Peter? Or actually from another universe but in fact a villain there and lying about it in order to become a hero in our universe? (Which was my first theory when I saw the trailer. Part of me actually wondered if Mysterio was Peter Parker from an alternate universe).
Overall, I had fun. I think I’ll even like it more on the re-watch because my brain won’t be in overdrive trying to figure out the plot and thus be disappointed. But there was definitely a moment where they’re smirking about how stupid people are for being willing to believe a made up story about magic where I thought, “Would that really have been so bad?”
