The older I get the more I admire people who are earnestly, genuinely into whatever their thing is. I know it sounds like an annoying cliche but unless you're being cruel or hurtful there is really no need to be normal about things. The dude with the bad fake accent at the renaissance faire is having the time of his life. The people having photoshoots with their fashion dolls are loving it. Comic book historian here. No death sticks in the long run. I mean unless you go to Z list Spidey villains who made one appearance everyone gets brought back, from Batroc the leaper to the Whizzer. Morb had a major death already in the Midnight Sons and was immediately brought back by a page of the Darkhold (but with no soul) so we've established that if he comes back he's most likely still alive and not undead. BUT... Big but here. There's two things that essentially could happen that are just as bad as death. The first is a media rendition takes over and replaces all that came before. Looking at you movie Blade. Given Morb's movie I don't think we're at risk of that. The second is they go in the fridge for a looooong time. This has actually already happened to Morb once in the 80's when between Savage She-Hulk and his remission (1981) and Doctor Strange (1989) he had only seven extremely minor appearances. (Seriously one was flashback, three were cameos. He got to speak in West coast Avengers but he was a slight aside character for a few panels. To me this is more likely as he's not been a steady steady character for a while and they might want to shelve him for a bit after the memes. That said I am middle-aged and have no urge to wait 5+ more years for Marvel to put my boy in something. I will still be pissssssed. TLDR No death won't stick but they could shelve him for a while and I hate it.

Immigration crackdowns were pretty lax until the 80's so there's that, but also I'm pretty sure by the sheer amount of crimes he committed in the US meant he very much got to be tried and incarcerated there, and he mentioned having a job when he got out so at that point probably had a work visa.

Am I stupid or should Morbius have been deported that one time he became human and got arrested, considering that "trying to kill yourself by jumping out of a boat and washing up on American soul" is not a valid method of immigration in the United States
