My Sapphic Princess

The enby brushed a lock out of Cammi's hair and stared up at her affectionately. It had been a while since they felt such peace and relaxation with another person. Their green eyes locked with her amber ones, her cheeks were still warm and flush from the activity they had finished.
"How are you feeling, princess?" Lily asked, watching her eyes as Cammi's cheeks flushed hotter.
"D-do you really like calling me that so much?" Cammi squeaked out, her face felt almost feverish at this point. Lilith laughed softly, resting their hand on her cheek.
"I do. To me you're my princess, a woman I'd praise til the end of my life. Your kisses feel like blessings and whenever you touch me I can feel my world coming together. You make me the happiest person alive, Cammi." They were speaking softly as she slowly covered her mouth. She was easily flustered, and with how poetic Lily's words were...
A few moments after Lilith finished speaking, Cammi leaned forward and hugged them tightly. She buried her face in their neck and quietly murmured her appreciations.
The raven haired person laughed softly, wrapping their arms around their lover and pulling her close.
"Do you like it when I tell you sweet things?" They asked.
"It... It makes me... Feel shy... I-I don't know how... To... Handle it." She replied, her hands trembling with her shyness. The enby laughed again and pressed a soft kiss to her cheek before cupping her face and pulling it from their neck to look at her.
"Cammi, I know it's difficult now... But I promise you that you deserve this much affection and more. One day you'll be used to compliments and kindness. I want to make sure you know how incredible you are, and that others see your radiance as well." Their eyes were soft as the words spilled from their lips. Another kiss was placed tenderly on her lips.
Lilith would spoil their princess with love. Always and forever.
That night Cammi fell asleep nuzzled into Lilith's chest as they hummed quietly to her. They'd protect this woman with their life, no matter what.
But...
They didn't realize that they would truly need to put their life on the line for her soon.
No one expected a killer to be among the group.

You wander through the city of love hand in hand, enjoying this well-deserved time together, sharing a coffee in a picturesque café, rummaging for old books at boooksellers' stands along the Seine or sitting on the quay for a picnic with a bottle of wine, cheese & a baguette
You are rather intrigued when Nanami pulls a padlock out of his pocket as you walk to a crowded bridge
But your eyes quickly light up when you realise both your names are engraved in the metal. Getting closer to the railing, you find a spot to attach your "love lock" & throw the key in the river
The romantic gesture got you emotional but Nanami helps you forget your tears with a tender kiss
You know you'll travel back home with fond memories, feeling closer to each other, but for now you revel in the wonderful hours you spend together without a care in the world

Harry James Potter deserves two mothers and two fathers. I stand by what I said, give me the polycule we all deserve, give me James x Regulus x Lily x Mary. He also deserves the doting of his grandparents and his various aunts and uncles.
When the war happens, Regulus and Sirius have already left their parents. Their at the Potter Manor under the care and protection of Euphemia and Fleamont. Remus is also there, along with Peter's family seeking refuge.
Voldemort dies because of their collective wit and will to live; and Harry will grow under a very loving family. He will never have to suffer under the Dursley's care ever again. He will never have to cram on a cupboard under the stairs, will never be forced to do chores that is not fit for his age and stature, he will never be shouted at with no reason.
Give me the fix-its; give me all the fix-its because this is what they deserve!

hi (again akdjfjd) after reading begin, i really want to write a angel fantasy au kind of thing too 👀 not for bts though, i have some assignments piled up which require creative writing and i thought you'll be the best person to ask about tips for those kind of stories! like, are there any websites or something to dig into angel things 🥴🥴
HI !! lol honestly, i did absolutely no research for begin, so i won't be of much help 😔 i'm also not that good with fantasy... this fic was a hard one – but u can def start by watching yt videos or googling religious facts if u want ur writing to be biblically correct! like research on arch or guardian angels etc
i can't say much since i'm hindu (tho not very religious), and i also wrote begin with my own universe in mind without insulting any aspect of catholicism... so yeah, perhaps videos/google/movies revolving around angels could help 🤔

👻 What is your wildest headcanon?
Oohhhh! This is such a spicy question! I have a fair few that I think could be considered quite wild, but the problem with my headcanons is that I'm a bit of a fair-weather friend to them. Sometimes they are non-negotiable headcanons that the characters must adhere to, and other times they're just "eh, wouldn't that be interesting; not gonna marry it or anything though."
Anyway, to actually answer your question it would be that James' parents were actually rather ignorant and borderline prejudice to muggleborns. In fact, one of my fav fic ideas, that I will absolutely come back to one day, is this one-shot where Euphemia is a champion for Muggleborn Rights, but then is actually really snooty and prejudice when James starts seeing Lily. Fleamont is less snooty but even more ignorant, in more of an Arthur Weasley sort of way. They aren't Death Eaters or anything nor would they ever say the 'M Word', but their ignorance shows in their everyday prejudice.
Why am I so stuck on this head canon? Well, because I think it is unfortunately more adherent to what real life is like. I also think it allows a lot more growth for the Wizarding World. In my fic, the Potters would learn a lot from Lily. They aren't these super hip people who know everything about Muggles and Muggleborns, and they're never perfect, but they overcome their prejudices and become better people. To me, that's a far more interesting story than people who have never thought an ignorant thought once in their lives.
On the other end of spicy, a friend of mine brought me around to the idea that Snape and Petunia once had hate sex and I find myself mildly obsessed with the implications of that.
✍️ What’s your ideal writing setup?
Ooh! Ok, so in a totally fictionally scenario it would be a sunny day without a cloud in the sky. I would have views of either the beach or a fun and interesting landmark. There would be unlimited Coca Cola with butter croissants and fresh sushi appearing out of thin air as and when I need them. The drinks would, of course, have lots of tiny ice cubes in them. Occasionally, I may have a FAB lolly. The room is not too hot nor too cold, and I have a fairly large desk and swivel chair that has good back support and occasionally massages me. The fairly large desk has upon it my MacBook Air, a tablet with a pencil and a keyboard, two notepads (one for writing; one for brainstorming) and a ball point pen. To splash out, I may have a second differently coloured ball point pen. The room has people in it and they are just going about doing their own thing, but they aren't too loud and they aren't close enough to see what I'm writing, yet crucially they will judge me if I procrastinate outside of the allocated procrastinating slots. I must attend this fictional place from 10am-2pm every weekday (unless I get the call to adventure in which case that absolutely comes first) and I would somehow get paid for this service.
In reality, I would say a busy cafe or office with lots of natural light, a decent amount of room (so I can comfortably write and type) my MacBook, still two notebooks and a single ball point pen, and my earphones playing brown noise so I can drown out anybody who is too loud. I don't really need dual screen or anything like that and have happily written out fics in 100 yen notebooks in the past.

I just had an idea about a Beauty and the Beast/Shrek VoldemortFem!Harry!! He's the beast and Harry is the beauty in town. James stole the rose and Vee confronts him. Harry came to trade herself instead of her father. Vee was so handsome before but curse to look like his snake face and everyone forgot about him. They bonded. In the end true love's kiss revived him but instead of turning into handsome Tom, he stays as snake Vee (like Fiona from Shrek). He was disappointed and confused but then Harry pulled a Shrek on him and said "but you're already beautiful.. you're beautiful to me"
I don't know who would play Gaston.. Cormac mayhaps? Hahaha
God, I had this exact idea Beauty/Beast for ages, I really want to write it. A big YES to Voldemort staying snake face, absolutely yes to that. Harry loves him just as he is and he’s already beautiful to her... Gahh, my heart! 😭😭😭
Yeah, Cormac can play Gaston for sure 🤣🤣
And we can make the Death Eaters be the talking dinnerware etc.
I wonder if we can stick with roses or do we change it to white lilies, because Harry loves them because they remind her of Lily?

Hello! I'm SO overdue to give you a big ol' rave review on the Vulnera Sanentur series, but I've been working my way through it this winter and spring, and I absolutely love it!! I admire your writing skills so much, and I'd love to pick your brain about writing inspo/strategy/etc.

✍️ What’s your ideal writing setup?
I'm not at all particular about where I write as long as it's reasonably quiet and comfy, but I love to write outside in the summer and as soon as I get a new laptop battery I intend to one of those coffee shop writers sipping gravely on a latte while I think about whether my characters should get it on in a library or the kitchen
🚀 Do you like to outline your fic first or create as you go?
Definitely outline, but creating as I go within that outline. Some of the best moments of writing are when the characters come to life and insist on wrecking all your plans for them. Which means the outlines keep evolving.
👓 What helps you focus when you write?
Definitely music! I nearly always listen when I write. It also helps set the emotional tone (sometimes too much and then I have to go back and tone it down)
🦋 Which character is your favorite to write?
Snape. Always Snape. Grey, ambiguous, complex, lonely, loyal, brave. Queer-coded, autistic-coded, masks in public, doesn't fit into anyone's box. And most importantly, someone who pickles slimy things in a laboratory and lines up the jars on his shelves.
Sometimes I wish I could get deep into some other fandom and character but he keeps calling me back.
🦈 Which character is the toughest to write?
Definitely Remus. Because at heart he is a genuinely kind and gentl person, but it's hard to disentangle from his passive-aggressive self-loathing and anxious avoidance. Which is so human and relateable but also really hard to pin down.
💭 What inspires you and your writing?
As someone who loves people and is fascinated by people but is socially quite anxious, writing is a lifeline. I *have* to write. It's all about the vulnerability and intimacy. I'm an absolute fiend for these scared, lonely, closed-up characters learning to let their guard down and be vulnerable with someone, whether a friend or a lover or something in between. And letting themselves love in the midst of their grief, knowing that they could lose again, knowing that grief is, as told by WandaVision, love persevering.
(And on the smuttier side of things, I've come to realize that I have something of a thing for extremely repressed characters having an awakening. Which is why you tend to see a lot of Virgin!Snape tags in my fics. I also love exploring all the awkwardness that comes with being physical and how that ties in to being vulnerable.)
🚦What sort of endings do you prefer to write: ambiguous, bad, happily ever after, etc.?
Happily ever after but with a touch of something to make them feel real, maybe? Everything is okay but the characters have scars or regrets or losses, or they love each other but still have conflict.
Bittersweet endings are so powerful and memorable and beautiful and I love them and hate them and they make me want to chew my arm off. I've only written one, a conclusion to one of the storylines in Vulnera Sanentur and The Bollan Cross. I think about it all the time.
💛 What is the most impactful lesson you’ve learned about writing?
Write what you love. Always. Because there's at least one person out there who will love it too, and it's a story you'll always be able to keep and take with you. And if you're not enjoying it, you don't have to do it! Take a break, switch to a new project, write that self-indulgent thing you've always wanted to.

✍️ hmmm i think i've been writing my whole life honestly. in the second grade i used to fold and staple pieces of printer paper together and make little books for my parents written AND illustrated in crayola and the only solid thing i can remember is one story i wrote about two best friends and their names were lily and tangelina that's it that's all but looking back they were probably more than best friends

I love your stories so much and you’ve been a consistent inspiration to get back into writing and trusting the process. If I may ask, do you have an advice for developing a story? How to give characters dimension? And just any writing advice in general?
Hi sweetheart! Thank you so much for your message. It means a lot to hear that I have inspired you to get back into writing and trusting the process of it. In all honesty, that is step one to writing in general.
I am not sure if I am qualified to give advice and I am fully aware, too, that any things I say could work very specifically for me and not so much for you. I hope, however, that there are some things you can use in your own writing practice.
(I also hope this makes sense!)
General Writing Advice
Write! ✍️ This sounds simplistic and straightforward, but you won’t get anywhere if you don’t. It is truly step one.
Be your own critical friend. 💕 When writing, reread what you have written and edit as you go. It will save you lots of time at the end.
Read your own writing out loud. 🎙️ This sounds odd, perhaps, but I find that reading my works out loud helps me find my own voice in the story as well as my characters’. When I read my writing out loud, I find it easier to detect flow and to also feel if a line works.
Don’t give up! 💪🏻 This can be very difficult at times, but when something doesn’t work… do not quit. Keep writing or - if you can’t write this particular part - skip ahead to another part you can write. Even if it is just one sentence a day that you add… it is progress!
Don’t put any pressure on yourself! ❤️ You are writing for you, for your own pleasure and well-being. Forcing yourself or setting unrealistic goals will not help you.
Plotting Advice
I don’t know how qualified I am to give advice here. I am not a person who writes everything down and creates intricate documents with a clear timeline, etc. I am one of those people who has it all “in her head”. I start and then I let the story flow. I always write chronologically, meaning that I will start with the first chapter and end with the final chapter, I write the story as you read it.
Having said this, I think you need to trust your instincts and trust your own creativity when it comes to plotting. Do what feels right for you, so if your story would benefit from a well-plotted Freytag’s Pyramid… go for it!
Characterization
By now, I feel like I have a pretty good grasp on who my version of James and Lily are. I know what they like, what they dislike. I know what makes them tick, what they care about, what frustrates or annoys them.
I think the most important part of characterization is that you need to know your characters almost as well as you know yourself. I don’t know if you used to have those friendship books? The ones in which your friends would write about their hobbies, their hopes and dreams, how they know you, etc. Being able to fill that in for your characters is a good place to start!
Also, don’t be afraid of your characters’ emotions. Show them! Let them really feel them! You get to know them better that way too.

basically james likes reader but remus also likes reader. remus knows that james only likes r to make lily jealous, rem being the sweetheart he is doesn't want your feelings to get hurt bc of this so he called you his girlfriend and started to fake-date r.

I had a dream last night that Mia, she’s about three or four in it and she loves books, James & Lily love books in my headcanon of them and one day they’re visiting F&B and she toddles off and sees a book with her big brother’s name on it and asks her Daddy or Mummy or both why Harry in a book? But they don’t or can’t tell or say what Harry went through with Voldemort because Mia is so young and innocent. But she finds out somehow a bit later on, maybe peewee quidditch and runs crying to her Daddy and James comforts his little girl and calms her fears but Mia still has recurring nightmares sadly

For our discussions, we’ll be focusing on two of the most beloved adaptations of the original 19th century novel: Gillian Armstrong’s 1994 film, starring Winona Ryder as Jo, and Greta Gerwig’s 2019 version starring Saoirse Ronan.
