If I were forced to sing those same stupid songs for twenty years and I never got a bath? I'd probably be a bit irritable at night too. So, remember, these characters hold a special place in the hearts of children and we need to show them a little respect, right? Okay. So, just be aware, the characters do tend to wander a bit. Uh, they're left in some kind of free roaming mode at night. Uh... Something about their servos locking up if they get turned off for too long.

Uh, they used to be allowed to walk around during the day too. But then there was The Bite of '87. Yeah. I-It's amazing that the human body can live without the frontal lobe, you know? Uh, now concerning your safety, the only real risk to you as a night watchman here, if any, is the fact that these characters, uh, if they happen to see you after hours probably won't recognize you as a person. They'll pr- they'll most likely see you as a metal endoskeleton

without its costume on. Now since that's against the rules here at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, they'll probably try to...forcefully stuff you inside a Freddy Fazbear suit."

This feels like every "WE LEARNED A GOOD LESSON!" scene in a toodler show, except it's a fetishized gay men who of course only mentions the sexual part of the situation and how much he wants to bang a couple, a man and a woman as well (the only true romance cause the gay marriage is a forced one! /s) while they're clearly uncomfortable. Also, it's so on the nose it might as well be a toddler show. This exists, this was actually a show that exists, right now, that was intentionally written for people over seventeen years old.

This was obviously rushed so fucking hard. Wow...

This is a real "adult" show that actually exists.

This entire scene is literally just:

"HEY! I fucked the guy who you were about to be forced to marry! Lol we have daddy issues how quirky! (Who the fuck tells someone that are they were just traumatized? Huh?!) another wolf359 relisten

bc ive relistened to this podcast maybe four times now and im coming back to it for a fifth time (in 2 years) and i think i could genuinely listen to it 59 times and still enjoy it just as much as the first time

bc holy shit this is such an incredible podcast and i love noticing the tiny details i missed in the previous listens and just absorbing the dynamics again

anyways here's my totally normal feelings and thoughts dumped out, completely unsolicited and without order:

the sound design and production are everything to me; wolf 359 is the only podcast that I dont have to do another to in order to listen lmao I can, have, and do listen to the podcast at the table with my hands folded or eating dinner like I can still be engrossed in the story just by being still too

hearing hera's voice in episode 1 DFHSDKJG she's so...customer servicey and just the sharp contrast between her in the very first episodes and later on in the series; hilberts voice is changed too for the first episodes -- he sounds high-pitched like he's really trying to sell the character of Alexander Hilbert, quirky and unassuming scientist. listening to them when we're first introduced to them, with the knowledge of who they become and what they do, it hits-- all the nuances in voice is just wow. Like Hilbert's mask slipping briefly, the crack in the character, the facade, as indicted by his voice deepening into his real voice sometimes (I think in the empty man episode)

the Empty Man still creeps me out like it did the first time. The Empty Man always gives me chills.

minkowski holding a gun to fiffel's like how lovelace holds a gun to everyone on board with her bomb like how cutter holds a gun to humanity with the decima virus. how eiffel is humanity and humanity was the only thing hilbert cared about

when minkowski says she's never seen eiffel as happy as he looked in the picture he taped under his desk, the one where he's with anne; eiffel's voice when he first talks about what happened with anne to minkowski, flat and forcibly casual, then raw and bitter...oof

minkowski says in mini episode 6 that "my husbands going to kill me" ....gurl..ur husbands going to witness u get killed on tv..and his company covers the story..

episode 38 "happy endings" was very satisfying and I love the dynamic between hilbert and lovelace. and also:

hilbert is such A Character; everything is for progress, for the big picture. he has morals and boundaries but he'll willing to cross them, he has principles and he's willing to compromise; he wanted so badly for everyone under his care to live but they didnt and he started again. there's no humiliation he won't endure for the big picture. lovelace constantly kept getting outraged on his behalf because he couldn't muster up anything besides determination (resignation) -- which I think is the best part of their dynamic, hes cold, dead steel and she's a blazing, dangerous inferno. they hate each other, they're the only ones who know each other, who remembers the first Hephaestus crew. hilbert did care for the og crew, and he cares for the new Hephaestus crew too, but he cares about decima, the progress of humanity, and the big picture most of all

in ep34 when kepler asks eiffel "what's going on, what's the problem?" in that voice, and i-

I had many conflicted feelings about si5. still do and probably always will with every listen. si5 is...recruiting people at dead ends and rock bottoms because they have no where else to go, no one else to turn to, and its all they have to dedicate themselves to Goddard. si5 are people who have nothing else, so they dedicate themselves to each other. si5 have complexes upon compartmentalizations upon complexes and they're callous, objectively bad people but they're bonded stronger than most families. they're trained, loyal and without hesitation, they trust each other and only each other. they were set up to be invincible, and when they fell, it was spectacularly hard.

what's that one post thats like "what makes w359 incredible is that every character is written like a main character" yeah

when "we try not to be monsters. when we can help it" goes to "the hell do you think we are, ups?" and to "*maxwell collars hera*" [insert tearing teeth out noises]

I think about Kepler's pig joke.

I think about someone saying Kepler's laughter is his cry.

I think part of why Kepler hates Hilbert so much is because when si5 kills, its with a purpose and a plan, and Kepler knows decima will go nowhere further than this so to him, the murders are disgusting because they're purposeless

si5's divide and conquer approach from the very beginning was ruthlessly effective holy shit; but at the same time, I cant help but think about how nice it must feel to have someone who understands, to have an advocate for the first time; Hera with Maxwell, and Eiffel with Kepler

on that note, I never understood why, really; every time, I just cant help but think its hypocritical for any of them to feel distress and anger over murder when theyre responsible for the same crime. but thats human, simply put. jacobi has blood on his hands, he killed hilbert remorselessly, but he's in pain and grief over Maxwell's death--and ig the act of murder doesn't protect u from the fallout of death.

god I fucking love Renee Minkowski so much, so MUCH. and the little things too -- refusing to back down from Kepler in that first bit when he interrupts her solitary confinement for help (satisfying, go girl); and also calling out Jacobi for his shit every time, including the fact that he had a choice to disobey orders, not kill Hilbert, and save Maxwell and he didnt make that call. just - I love her

Jacobi once said something like "Kepler doesnt push people past breaking point" and then kepler realizing hes pushed too far when Jacobi tries to force minkowski to shoot him dead. "please tell me you have a plan" said in a shaky voice, ah

truly I dont know where id be without the "Memoria" episode where Hera uncovers her subconscious saying "I cant do this, im not good enough," and then every single time afterwards she does it anyways. always. that episode impacted me..somuch.

this isn't even close to capturing everything, w359 is truly the chefs kiss. but I had to put this out somewhere.

Thank you for answering ! I really appreciate it. So yeah… I do remember feeling weird about Rory in later seasons, and the writers focusing more and more on upper class shit that i couldn’t care less about lmao

yeah of course. it definitely hits weird to watch two skinny white women whose main personality traits are how quirky they are and how much junk food they constantly eat despite never gaining weight, and how they literally never stop making fun of fat people. like i can't imagine how sookie must feel being lorelai's best friend and hearing how they talk all the time lol but according to the show it's ok bc she's just the funny fat friend whose problems are always treated as comedic. plus lane is a character i loved so much who was done so dirty as the show's only poc representation and who got so sidelined. the time she was being sent back to korea and didn't know if she'd ever get to come back and rory her best fucking friend was too busy being focused on like minor boyfriend issues? literally every time there was an episode a little bit focused on what lane was going thru i was like wow this is way more intense and compelling than rory's shit why is the show not about her.

none of this is stuff that gg was alone in and they were not notably worse about it than everything else that was popular at the time so im not trying to say like fuck these people in particular, but its still some truly yikes choices and makes it hard to engage with today.

i could talk so much probably about how rory's arc into a spoiled entitled rich girl makes so much sense and also still fuckin sucks to watch. she keeps pulling the "i grew up with nothing my mom worked so hard for everything we have" AND the "i'm a GILMORE my family has money who are you to look down on me" like girl you cannot have it both ways. the dropping out of yale and working for the D.A.R. my god the stealing a yacht. everyone was like "this isn't like rory at all!" like no it was 100% who she was. she was sweet and well-read and treated like an adult as a kid so everyone loved her and told her she was special and the narrative kept reaffirming that, the fact that she got into harvard when paris didnt was insane, the fact that she had never heard of extracurriculars at 16/17 despite wanting to go to ivy leagues since she was 5, the fact that she left yale and then came back and just waltzed right into being the editor of the paper bc no one else at fucking yale would apparently want that position and be better qualified lol. the i'm a good girl i'm the nice girl bullshit but i'm going to sleep with a married man bc he was MY boyfriend first and his wife stole him away from me even though i cheated on him and broke up with him years ago (this is about dean lol but yknow the same thing happened later with logan when she was like. in her late 20s/30s so you can't even say it was just her being young). ok. it comes to the point where it feels good to watch people yell at her but the show still wants you so bad to root for her. i can't.

anyway i wasn't expecting to rant like that lol but this comes from like, having loved it a lot as a kid.

so everyone knows im late to everything, but i recently started watching the new girl? because of tumblr, i already knew a bit about it. one of the main characters is indian, schmitt is beloved, nick is beloved, and jess is beloved. so i went in with high expectations? let’s just say that shit sank rly quickly.

so hands down, the only character that i ended up getting attached to was winston. hands down. i will probably die for winston. i’m only in s3 rn, but i’m sure my love for winston will not change.

ok, so explain to me tumblr? is this a white thing? lmao no im being srs and not trying to knock anyone down, but i don’t see the appeal? it’s-- a lot of problematic writing and i wanna understand why schmitt is the fan favorite when he’s OPENLY fucking racist and a huge republican??? dude??? how is he a fan favorite?

don’t get me start on the fetishization of indian culture, the turban, “all you indians are bad” in the convention episode, and just the overall cringiness of the episode where he is supposed to help winston find his blackness?? are yall serious??? what am i watching?? not only that, winston is sidelined in an episode about blackness so we can focus on schmitt??? excuse me?? not to mention the insane stereotypes that this buys into

nick -- i don’t see the appeal of nick. i love jake johnson so much, but nick?? if nick’s traits and personality were transferred to a woman character, yall would be coming for her. and don’t get me started on the weird dating ritual he had in s2 with all the young girls, one of whom just turned 18. yikes. noPE NO thanks. anyway, back to winston. we’re on s3 and he’s basically the funny black guy in the background and i hate it. like why?? winston has more personality and character and heart than the three mains combined so??? like where’s the winston stans at? where’s the winston storylines at? we focus so much on nick and schmitt’s character development, not once have we seen it focused on winston??? and cece, i.... as an indian woman have a lot of thoughts on cece. first and foremost with her casual ok’ness over schmitt’s racist comments?? kjdshfkjdh idk. i... imma leave cece alone from my critiques. i did like that she had a marriage arc in s2, but they ruined it by only showcasing stereotype indian dude characters lmao. like why?? cool. yall couldn’t have given her a non-stereotypical love interest.

favorite thing about the group

they just...have so much going for them as a group. lovely personalities and such a multitude of them... i'm never bored watching their stuff and everyone just seems like a person who genuinely wants good things for others and they're all so, they have lovely voices and vocal colors, and obviously they're known for their dancing and performance skills and, of course, i wouldn't be stupid about them if i didn't love their music. i do hope the next comeback is something more like hula hoop, or so what/why not bc ptt and & overall isn't a vibe i want them to get stuck with (there wasn't a vibe at all, to be fair, that mini really was just random songs stuck together, which, granted, most kpop minis are, but i at least think other loona minis ...make more sense?) but, uh, the most important factors are their personalities (i admire them all in different ways for what they've done) and ... the music.

something i’d like to see from them

i kinda want an elegant/ethereal concept again. not exactly like butterfly (but honestly i wouldn't mind that either) because the way they executed butterfly just felt really different from what anyone else was doing at the time. it could be smth like their love battery cover as well, which is more feminine/retro (but not 80s/90s i beg...even if they were ahead of the trend with edily i feel like they wouldn't go as quirky and fun as for example chocome or get a song as complex as beautiful beautiful by onf and it'd just get lost). my no.1 dream is that they get a less painful choreo than ptt next time. it was so difficult and they got so many injuries and didn't even get to wear clothes sufficiently protecting their wounds? it was horrible to see. they're so young, they don't need to kill their knees and backs this early.

they're singers! they sing! and i have to say that i really like how into every concept they do they go in, and i just think they have very well written and produced songs, overall? i'm very...different levels of familiar with the members. im the most familiar with chocome, and besides being extremely talented (i love that wjsn rlly is a group where everyone can sing ...underapprecited quality in a group sdhfdj) they're all so extra? which is something i find very entertaining. they seem like genuinely nice people but love how unafraid they are of being a little ridiculous. besides them im also more familiar with wjsn the black than yeonjung/dawon and c-line...they were never active with the group during the time i followed any of their activities so i really don't know that much about them or what they're like with the group :/ but overall they're such a stacked group talent and personality wise and very enjoyable to watch in what they do.

something i’d like to see from them

this feels like treason to say as an orbit but at the moment they're probably my favorite group, just concept wise, bc loona arent really using their concept fully rn imo because of how dedicated they are to the spacey/elegant aesthetics. idk! not every group can do lore like loona for example and there's no need for them to do anything besides what they do. i need that dawon&yeonjung subunit though. and they could try having two full group cbs a year again :|

Now I like carry on films AS A RELIC, a thing that can be funny but in no way something that needs to or should be recreated or revived. Love camp ate racism simple as.

It's incredible to me that they're citing 50 year old media that is no doubt beloved but not representative of britain at all in the modern day, as the image they want to export. Not suprising in the slightest, they see how well cutesy patriotism aren't we cute and quirky and not marred by imperialism and inequality at all content does internationally and want to promote this image moreso. I'm rambling here I'm struggling to articulate what it's making me think. There's just been so many more "british" shows from then to the present day, it's just they're not necessarily positive. god i hate Angela. she’s fickle in relationships, insensitive, and keeps saying shes Brennans best friend but their relationship is less friendly than ‘best friend’

wtf is up with Agent Perotta? she sucks. she had the Squints tailed when Booth was kidnapped?? wtff

im so confused, why does Bones show up to crime scenes when she just tells everyone to pack it up and ship it back to the Jeffersonian???

tbh the lab is an ianppropriate workplace: Clark is right

i like how Sweets is more involved in the show, it shows that Brennan is more open to psychology

i liked the intern rotation thing. i like all the interns, but the old guy with multiple careers was great, nice and knowledgeable. none of them are as fitting as Zack tho :( good news: Zack shows up a couple of times! :)

and its funny that both Bones and Booth are insensitive about cultures and people after traveling the world, especially Bones, peep her social skills

typical americans in britain episode. Angela's husband shows up and eventually agrees to sign the divorce papers. why do we have two britain episodes? the first one wasn't even good lol . also Hodgins x Angela break up bc they don't trust each other. hmm definitely not bc Angela kissed her husband like a day before the divorce papers were signed and she was engaged to Hodgins still . wow Angela really does pull this sht and expect Hodgins to deal with it. also british lady cop tells Bones to get with Booth . jealously stuff in relationships

04x04 The Finger in the Nest

i swear the opossum storyline is so worth the hours i spent watching this show 🤣🤣🤣 . i cant believe Brennan couldn't keep the dog, Ripley :'(

Hodgins putting money down and Booth picking it up was cute. omg they stole the deceased. i'm deceased ☠️☠️☠️. ngl i loved this episode. its probably my favorite episode to date. it's funny and quirky with everyone of the squints involved.

04x25 The Critic in the Cabernet

Brennan x Booth baby by artificial insemination?? this is soooo random and makes no sense in Brennan’s rational mindset. turns out the hallucinations are a result of a brain tumor. seen when Stewie from family guy makes a cameo!!! ahhh i love it. also his child and it's mother doesn't come to his surgery??? could've been a cliffhanger ending but again no...

04x26 The End in the Beginning

alternate universe episode . Booth x Brennan are married and owners of a bar (literally the lab) . Booth forgets Brennan after waking up from his coma/surgery??? wow the writers have no idea how to do cliffhangers

definitely hate bingewatching this show now. im trying to like it cause the premise is fun but omg the writing is terrible. theres so many inconsistencies and things that dont make sense. definitely not a bingeable show bc i feel like i wouldnt care about these things if i watched these episodes once a week.
