Okay okay gx is the second series, and takes place at duel academy, which is basically school for learning how to duel. There's three classes, silfer red ,the bottom class. Osiris yellow, middle tier, and obelisk blue the top class. (Slifer, Osiris, and obelisk are all Egyptian god cards based off of ancient egyptian duel spirits. These cards were really dangerous and almost destoryed the world in dm and caused trauma to the duel monster card creator. The pharoah(yami) is the only one who can safely yield the power in these cards. That aside.)

This one follows jaden/judai yuki! He's my fav little protag of ygo. He's your typical happy go lucky guy, he's kinda, very stupid, however he knows how to duel, and he's REALLY good at it. He's in slifer red, the teacher hate him, he's called the slifer slacker by another character chazz(I'll get to him), but he always wins all his duels. His deck is basically super hero based. Jaden really cares about his friends and would do anything for them.

Imagine my 4 current fandoms I am addicted to went to a bar and just talked on how fucked up their stories are.

Izuku Midoriya: So when I was quirkless, my father left me and my mother and my best friend started torturing me for over a decade. And when I Got my quirk, I broke my body every time I used it. Not to mention I have to fight Villains that torture other people. What about you Tanjiro?

Tanjiro Kamado: *takes a drink and pours into a cup* When I 13 years old, couple of years after my dad died *everyone cringed* yeah, so anyway, after I delivered charcoal, I saw my family, other than Nezuko, Got killed by a demon. After that, I realized that she Got turned into one. After 2 years of training, I had to kill demons, get my sister back to a human and saw my mentora die in front of me. You, Jaden?

Jaden Yuki: *opens the lid and starts chugging it* In my 3 years of being in Duel Academy, I had to duel a monkey, Tarzan, Duel Giant, an evil Vampire, the Devil itself, a guy who treathened to kill all of my friends if I didn't duel him, a cosmic Ray that would have destroyed everything, my Spirit partner that would have destroyed the 12 dimmensions and an evil Spirit that killed everyone on the planet. Oh, and also I was dragged by the Darkness of my heart and caused genocide. You Ben?

Ben Tennyson: Evil Spirits, a racist race, a ghost that escaped the Omnitrix, saw my friends die twice, the Universe got erased so I had to recreate one, had to Save time itself and more. *Drinks more of the alcohol*

Day 1: “Hero Signal”

We’re kicking things off with everyone’s favorite hero Judai/Jaden Yuki’s birthday! Show the fluffy boi some love!

((Well I won’t but the others will show some long over due love))

Aster gasped for air before sighing in relief to see that everyone was ok “looks like we all survived our trials”

“Sure did…” Syrus muttered before looking around “where’s Dyspia and Jaden?!”

The woman in question cackled before emerging from the shadows with a very stunned Jaden in tow.

“Well done children... You’ve been very good... what did you think Jaden...?”

“You... you came to rescue me?”

Dyspia sighed “don’t you see Jaden... if your friends really hated you they would not have come running to your rescue... and as you can see, you don’t need to rely on Jaden for every little thing to help you... you’re all capable of helping yourselves...”

“H-how do you know about that?!” Jaden stammered.

Syrus was confused “Jaden... thought we hated him?”

“I-is this about the dark world?” Alexis finally caught on “w-we didn’t mean it!!”

“Look it doesn’t matter if you didn’t mean it or you were under Bronn’s influence. The bottom line is Jaden **believed** what you said. Why do you think he’s been avoiding you all this time. He thinks you want nothing to do with him”

They looked to see the Slifer Student’s face, hollow and empty with sorrow.

“J-Jaden!! I-I-“ Syrus stammered

“You’re the ones who trapped Jaden in this labyrinth of despair…” Dyspia smirked “I just made it visible for all to see…”

The shadows lingered around as the ominous voices turned into ones that were familiar.

Their own…

“You’re the reason I’m here in the first place!!”

“Guess we didn’t matter to you”

“I thought we were friends”

“You did this to me Jaden! It’s your fault!”

Everyone was so shocked, they barely noticed Jaden sinking into the floor of sludge in despair.

“My fault… it’s all my fault… I’m dangerous… I’m all alone…”

Syrus was crippled by guilt at first, but then he saw Jaden sinking. He had time to pity himself later, his dark self had slammed him for how much of a bad friend he was already.

Without a second thought he lunged for Jaden and held onto him. Trying to pull him out of the sludge.

“Jaden!! I can’t let you die like this but if you do take me with you!! It’s my fault that this happened!! You’ve done nothing but help me and raise me up but all I’ve ever done is drag you down or expect you to get over this… a-and when you went against Bronn and needed the me the most I wasn’t there for you!! All because I was wrapped up in my own cowardice and jealousy… I’m so sorry I let you down Jay… but I’m not going to do it any more… not matter what I’ll be here… by your side!!” He sobbed “so if this really is the end then I’ll be right here… holding on… by your side to the very end because that’s what true friends do…”

Syrus tried to pull Jaden out but despite his change of heart it wasn’t enough. He struggled, He tried, but Jaden’s heart was still so broken.

“Hang on Jay!!” Chumley appeared behind the Slifer slacker and tried to pull him up. “Come in Sy! On three!!… and three!!!” As they struggled to pull him out the koala man poured out his own heart.

“I’m so sorry I wasn’t there for you Jay! Distance and burying myself in my work is no excuse!! You helped me realise I’m worth so much more than I thought I was but I couldn’t help you when you were in the same position I was… depression hurts… it’s scary and you feel so alone and isolated… but you made me realise that it’s important to remember that friendship and bonds help you over come anything… so let me help you!! It’ll be hard and it’ll be long but I’m not giving up!! Just like you never gave up on me!!”

Suddenly another pair of arms joined the effort. “You better not die on me! You got that slacker!?”

Chazz teared up as the desperation broke his mask. “I know I’m terrible at opening up. But there were so many times when I was supposed to help you and I let you down!! Getting possessed by the light, becoming a duel ghoul, becoming Bronn’s sacrifice… and not once did you ever resent me for it!! So what makes you think some mind control would make me hate you!! You’re my best fucking friend Jaden!! Never forget that!! I can’t let you die!! You have to get out of this!! So I can be there for you like you always were for me!! I’m sorry I let you down!! I’m so so sorry!!!”

“Hang on Sarge!!” Hassleberry joined in, trying to pull Jaden out. “I need to apologise too!! Not just because of what I said at the duel with Bronn but because I always treated you weirdly about the duel spirits!! I thought you were crazy and that wasn’t fair!! I should’ve believed you from the beginning!! Before we went to the dark world!! I’m sorry for not being the friend you needed Sarge!!! But hang on!! We can get through this together!! Like we got through everything else!!”

Bastion wasn’t too far behind. “Jaden you can’t let this destroy you!! Please!!”

He held onto the other as tears ran down his cheeks “when I became the King of the Light I blamed you for it but that’s not fair!! It takes two to tango!! I’ve should’ve been stronger… I should’ve trusted you more instead of the light… you’re the first person who ever made me feel like I mattered and were so open to forgive me…. So of course I forgive you for the duel with Bronn!!! But I’m also sorry I wasn’t better support for you!! You needed me and I wasn’t there!!! I’m so sorry Jaden!! I won’t let you down again!!”

Alexis reached out as well “they’re right Jaden!! I’m so sorry I didn’t support you… I see how much my words affected you… even if I didn’t mean it that doesn’t matter, I hurt you and I can’t forgive that!! But you have to know we love you Jaden! All of us!! We love you so much and we want to help you… please believe in us”

Aster grabbed at Jaden’s jacket and tried to pull with the others “you better not die Jaden! We have been through too much to let you give in now!! I know I don’t show it but… thank you for always supporting me… you were there when I needed you and when I didn’t!! I’d be a terrible friend if I didn’t do the same for you…”

Zane and Atticus joined in too “it wasn’t fair for me to put the pressure of being the top duelist onto you Jaden, I cracked under the pressure so expecting you to handle it is just cruel!! But you’re so strong Jaden! Stronger than you know… I always believed in you so believe in yourself and us ok!?”

“Zanes right Jay! You’re so strong and because of that we relied on you too much but not anymore!! Now it’s your turn to rely on us! Got that Jay?”

Jim, Axel and Jesse watched on. Seeing these people pour their hearts out, showing how much they all loved this once person. How much those three loved him too.

They join in as well, The whole group working to pull Jaden out of the swamps of sadness. All telling this one person how much he meant to them… then… the floor stopped sinking….

Jaden snapped out of his stupor, looking at them all with tears in his eyes. “D-do I really mean that much to you?”

“Of course you do Jay…” Syrus sobbed, nuzzling his oldest friend with tears in his eyes. “We just didn’t show it until now… we thought it was obvious how much we loved you…”

“But now we’ll show it every day!” Alexis smiled softly and kissed his forehead in a maternal fashion. “We weren’t being fantastic friends before… but we’ll do better from here on out…”

“You’re a part of us Jaden” Axel nodded “always will be”

Jaden started shaking… and then a sob escaped his lips. The others let go only to hold onto him into a tight, loving group hug. Comforting him as best he could.

“I love you all too…” Jaden sobbed. “I love you all so much… I’m sorry… I’m sorry…”

“We’re sorry too Jaden…” Chazz mumbled, rubbing circles on Jaden’s back.

Dyspia watched the group reconcile, a smirk gracing her black lips.

Mission accomplished…. Her work here was done.

The definition of chaotic good and morally gray.

She inherited her mother's fiery spirit and her father's level head, and is tenacious in the pursuit of her goals. And just like her father, she is not afraid to fuck you up if you fuck with her family.

"It's only illegal if I get caught, right?"

Alexis and Jaden are 'aunt' and 'uncle' to her, and you know Jaden would spoil the snot out of his best friends' kid. She grows up well loved, looked after, protected, and rarely lonely.

She's the "leader" of the friend group most days but only as responsible as it takes to make sure no one dies.

She's the one who will randomly pull a random knife out and no one will be surprised that she had one.

Takehiko Yuki

son of Jaden and Alexis

attends Neo Domino's Duel Academy (same grade as Leo and Luna)

Hyperactive and excitable, Takehiko inherited his father's penchant for finding trouble, much to his mother's dismay.

Blood related or not, Sanna is his older sister whom he enjoys hanging out with and occasionally tormenting.

Sanna loves him, she does, but also wouldn't mind suffocating him with a pillow. "No killing Take." "He's not dead yet!" "No, almost killing Take." "Fiiiine."

Jaden's work sometimes keeps him away from home for weeks a time, and Takehiko will eagerly glue himself to his father's side upon return, demanding to hear about the other dimensions. He longs to go see them himself and definitely wants to follow in his father's footsteps.

He's not the instigator, usually, but he will eagerly follow along with any mayhem his friends cook up and gladly fan the flames of anarchy.

Nareshi and Chieko Marufuji

Would go to war for sister but also wishes she'd calm the frick down for once.

Has been friends with Sanna for as long as he can remember.

Has been made fun of for his unusual name.

Sanna constantly tries to teach him how to fight, so he can throw a punch but he will immediately recoil and apologize profusely.

Mana tried to teach him magic but he lacks an affinity for it.

Somehow got roped into attending Anderson-sensei's extra class despite being the most normal person he knows.

the product of a drunken one night stand between Chazz and a coworker. She didn't want a kid, so Chazz took custody and he and Aster raised the boy.

antisocial but Takehiko drags him into the friend group because "our dads our friends so we should be too!"

Grady

actually Slade's son, but the man is jerk with little love for his family. As a teen Grady noped out and showed up on Chazz's doorstep like "sign these custody papers please".

the ACTUAL responsible one of the friend group but he doesn't attend Duel Academy and isn't around to prevent most of the bullshit from happening. Got a job and all that.

Sanna and Nareshi are really careful to mind his triggers and keep the younger kids in check.

will often zone out around his friends. He wants to be there but is not always able to engage and just enjoys their presence.

might give him a different name because I ain't using Dick.

For #9 of more things to be written thing, Are Jaden and Yuma blood related or is it more of a found family kind of thing? Does Yubel and Astral exist as spirits partners?

I haven't really thought about it much yet as those lists are mostly little ideas to get out of my head once in a while.

But what the heck let's look over it!

Really it could be either-or, and we would have to figure out how it would differ between the two stories. If blood-related, would Yuma be old enough to remember Yubel? Would his memory be erased like Jaden's? How would the Emperor's Key get to Yuma? What about Akari? Is she still their older sister? If so what happened to her?

I go over the found family side later. But to tie these questions to the story idea:

Akari was both Jaden's and Yuma's older sister. Gran gran is no longer able to look after her grandkids which she did for a long while as her son and daughter-in-law were always away working.

But Akari, she took overlooking over her brothers. She had some jealousy due to Jaden getting Yubel from their father but she mainly put it aside due to how little Jaden actually got to see their dad. Yuma doesn't get the Emperor's Key until much later and it is not from their parents. So no jealousy from that. Instead, we have an overprotective sister who has two younger brothers to raise, and when Gran gran can't continue to help she is on her own...

And then Yubel starts acting up.

So people are falling into comas, straight up vanishing, and Jaden is freaking out. Because he doesn't know what is going on but the people he is friends with are getting hurt for no reason he can understand.

We are going with Akari being four years older than Jaden with Yuma two years younger than Jaden. So Yuma would not really remember these events or much of their parents, Gran gran, or even their sister because he was so young when she ended up in a coma thanks to Yubel not liking another person taking up Jaden's time from them.

So Jaden had already gone into the card drawing contest and by the time he was told he won there is a great weight on his shoulders. His parents are never home, Gran gran isn't able to look after them and now his older sister is hurt because his duel monster, who he got from his dad, didn't like her. (And didn’t that hurt. Dad was never home and the gift he did leave behind attacked one of the two people who has stayed.)

So he asks for Yubel to be sent to space, hoping that they would be able to get away and heal.

And to make sure they couldn't get to Yuma.

Something he wasn't planning on was his parents finding out something happened and having his memory erased. So now he doesn't have a clue, not a single clue, what happened to Akari and now he is very scared that something will happen to Yuma as well. But he can’t plan for it as he has no clue at all what happened!

So Yuma, the small sweet thing he is grew up with no parents, occasionally seeing his senile Gran gran who doesn't remember him at all between trips, only sees his sister in pictures or laying in a hospital bed in a coma, and an overprotective older brother trying his best to raise him.

Yuma wasn't able to keep his Key when it first popped up. Jaden took it to make sure it wouldn't hurt him, and eventually gave it back when he figured out that it helped Yuma stay calm when he wasn't there.

I will have to figure out how to get the key to him, but for now, it popped up.

Jaden will not be banning Yuma from dueling. He still duels so it would be hypocritical to do so. But that doesn't mean Yuma really gets the game. Jaden tries, oh how he tries to teach his little brother, but Yuma just cannot seem to get it. It is almost like something is stopping him from getting it.

Jaden’s overprotectiveness is not helped by the fact that Yuma having dreams of the future. Or the bullying problem at school. Which has been either been handled by Jaden getting into a fistfight or the bullies suddenly falling into some sort of problem. No one has fallen into a coma, but some have gone missing and others have gone mad.

No one knows what has been going on with the Yuki brothers but they do not have any friends because of it.

Thus the two only had each other for years and Yuma had to convince Jaden to try to get into Duel Academy. While Jaden wanted into the school he was worried about leaving his brother behind.

Then Yuma finds Yusaku and Shoichi. Laches onto them and will not let go. Poor Yusaku just started this alliance with Shoichi and is (poorly) trying to get over his trauma. Now, this little thirteen-year-old is following him around and asking him all sorts of questions about computers and duel monsters. (And asking about the strange figure in his shadow. But that just had to be a hyper imagination...right?)

Shoichi really does like the idea of Yuma opening Yusaku up and giving not only Yusaku a friend but Yuma one too. The kid, (Jaden too but saying anything to that teen would be a bad idea given how tense he is), is in desperate need of a friend.

So Jaden gets talked into letting this pair of hackers look after his little brother while he goes to Duel Academy.

And no he is not happy about it. He is even less happy when he comes home after his first year, (which was a headache and a half due to the Shadow Riders), and sees that his younger brother has a weird spirit following him around. (Jaden does not understand why he thinks this is so horrible after all Winged Kuriboh follows him around at times. But something in his gut screams that this is bad. Real bad.)

Astral does not have his memory and is looking for the Number Cards. So XYZ summoning is a brand new thing that has popped up. (Kinda like how Pendulum popped up in ArcV) And Yuma is doing his best to keep it on the down-low. Yusaku and Soichi have been pounding subtlety into this kid's head for about a year and while he is not great at it he tries so hard.

Astral appreciates Yuma's attempts to keep XYZ quiet and he is grateful for Jaden being able to see and hear him. Just having Yuma to talk to has been interesting and now he can learn more with another person to make observations on. Something Jaden is not amused about but is taking it with as much grace as he can right now.

And that is all I can think of right now I will get to the found family later.

@yugirl made a ship meme for connectionshipping and I wanted to make one for galileanshipping.

Galileanshipping is a GX/5Ds polyship created by @kitsunephantom09 and myself, involving Jaden/Judai Yuki x Bastion/Daichi Misawa x Yusei Fudo x Jack Atlas. “Galilean” comes from the Galilean moons of Jupiter for which there are four major ones: Io, Europa, Ganymede, and Callisto.

Io is a moon covered in active volcanoes. Much like Jack’s Burning Soul. Europa is a moon covered in ice, much like Yusei’s Stardust Dragon and his calming yet cool demeanor. Ganymede, though another icy moon, is the largest and has the greatest magnetic pull. Much like Jaden, it draws attention and has a surface that retains both cold and hot. Callisto is the second largest moon, and yet does not retain the magnetic pull from Jupiter. It is outside the connection and therefore is not affected by tidal heating. It, too, is the most heavily cratered moon. Much like Bastion, it is alone and apart, scarred from years of abandonment, yet it is the most helpful, considered to be the best habitable moon for human life.

With the Galilean moons, the ship was created, giving a tie to the movement of space and time.

But now, onto the ship meme part!

Who made the first move;

Technically it was an equal part from Jaden and Yusei. Jaden and Bastion were already in a relationship just as Yusei and Jack were. Yusei and Jaden met in BBT, and never forgot one another. Soon, they wanted to involve their current lovers, so Jaden and Yusei brought them all together and spoke honestly, telling the two they wanted to form a poly relationship.

Who said ‘I love you’ first;

Between Bastion and Jaden, Jaden said it first. Since returning from the Spirit World, he’s had a greater appreciation for people and those who stuck by his side, as well as those who suffer from their own darknesses. He learned to see Bastion and to learn from him, eventually forming into a deep love that couldn’t be contained.

  Between Yusei and Jack, Jack said it first in an annoyed rage. They ended up together soon after that.  Between Yusei and Jaden, Yusei said it first. After bending time to see each other once more, Yusei found himself just unable to let Jaden go. He told him in full earnest emotions that he loved him and wanted him to stay in his era.  

Between Yusei and Bastion, Yusei said it first. Yusei fell deeply in love with Bastion’s calculating thoughts, his need to write formulas, and his beauty and intelligence. It sort of just came out of his mouth, watching Bastion write his thoughts down upon the wall. And he just opened his mouth to compliment his ideas, but a ‘I love you’ came instead. Bastion didn’t talk to Yusei for a week, too flustered to even look him in the eye properly.  

Between Bastion and Jack, it was Bastion. Their relationship starts off rocky, not as committed as the others are. But after some time, Bastion and Jack find they have a mutual affection for each other. Jack doesn’t know how to label it. Bastion does, and after a heated fight, Bastion states that he doesn’t want bad blood between them because he loves Jack. And from there on out, their relationship got better.

Between Jaden and Jack, they don't remember who said it first. They just seem to have said they loved each other always.

How often do they fight;

They have petty fights, small things that irk them that cause annoyance and talks. Yusei and Bastion are ones who want to talk everything out while Jaden and Jack are much more inclined to physical relief. Their petty fights don’t amount to much, but their big ones are disastrous. Often, its between Bastion and Jack the most as they have opposite opinions on several matters that are important to them. Yusei and Jaden often run interference. Yusei rarely fights with anyone, and it is typically resolved quickly. Jaden rarely fights, and if he does, he usually settles it with a duel or a fist fight.

Who’s the big spoon/little spoon;

There are two constants and there are two that change depending on the sleeping cycle or habits. Yusei is always the big spoon. He enjoys holding his partners and making them feel safe. Bastion is always the little spoon. He never asks for it, but his shoulders often slump in a way that indicates he needs affection, and his partners are more than willing to provide.

Jaden and Jack are flexible. They cuddle as the dynamics need or what they want. But, in a percentage, Jaden is big spoon 75% of the time and little spoon 25%. Jack is big spoon 45% of the time and little spoon 55%.

What are their nicknames for each other;

Yusei: (to Bastion) Bas; (to Jaden) Jay; (to Jack) my King

Jaden: (to Yusei) babe, daddy, Yu; (to Bastion) Bas, Basy, babe, pretty boy; (to Jack): Jackie, babe, baby, my King[after hearing from Yusei]

Bastion: he doesn’t really do nicknames, mainly calling everyone but their full name, but he does at times call Jaden ‘Jay’ when he’s flustered or aroused.

Jack: doesn’t really call anyone nicknames other than shortening Bastion to Bas and Jaden to Jay.

Who’s the better cook;

Bastion and Jack. Jack is the best cook of them all, having taken time to learn while under Godwin’s custody as it was often a stress reliever. Bastion is a bit of a health nut, so he cooks and enjoy it to make healthy snacks while Jack is all about baking treats and cakes.

Who remembers their anniversaries;

Bastion the most. He’s very aware of holidays and birthdays as well as anniversaries as he wants his partners to feel loved and adored. Yusei is a close second as he often makes sure their anniversaries are directed toward Bastion the most. Jack and Jaden don’t really care and often forget. To them its just another day. Yusei understands that to Bastion, it’s an event of their love, lasting longer and longer, and he is the one who needs the reminder the most. So Yusei is always sure that Bastion knows they all know (even if he’s the one reminding Jack and Jaden).

Their favorite thing to do together (besides sex);

Jack and Jaden love dueling one another. Either in standing duels or riding duels, they get the greatest enjoyment in challenging one another and beating the ever-living crap out of one another.

Yusei and Bastion adore working on projects together. That could be deck building or bike updating or even house updates or plans. They plan it out and they figure out all the nuances of their projects and they absolutely lose themselves in each other.

Jaden and Bastion love to cuddle. Jaden always starts it, Bastion just letting him hold him or pull him into his lap or Jaden lying on his. They can be in bed sleeping or they can be relaxing on the couch reading/watching tv, but their favorite thing is to physically be near one another.

Jaden and Yusei are often training, Yusei learning to harness his Clear Mind and Jaden controlling his Darkness powers. The two powers work pretty well to repel each other as well as work together. Jaden loves using his powers and Yusei loves pushing their limits as well as experimenting (sometimes Jack joins using Burning Soul while Bastion helps keep track of their scores/health/stats/etc. but more often than not, its mainly just Yusei and Jaden's thing)

Jack and Bastion are also cuddlers, but often they have emotional chats. Bastion and Jack just lie beside one another in the semi darkness of Jack’s room, talking in quiet tones about all sorts of emotional stuff. Babies, families, traumas, sex, fights, parents, growing up, etc. All sorts of things where they are crying or smiling or laughing.

Who ‘wears the pants’ in the relationship;

Yusei always wears the pants.

Jaden always wears the pants for Bas and Jack, and will sometimes wear the pants for Yusei but mostly doesn’t for him.

Jack wears the pants for Bas, but does not for Yusei and Jaden.

Bastion never wears the pants.

How they would get engaged;

Everyone but Bas aren’t really into marriage. They see no need for it. Bastion follows in their thoughts and never proposes, but he does dream of the idea of getting married. They do, however, eventually get married but more for financial and medical reasons than for romantic ones. Yusei and Bastion marry as Yusei understand Bastions dream for it better, and they take it much more seriously. So Yusei proposes to Bastion in a small but simple way, walking around town and then getting on one knee with a ring in hand. Bastion, of course, flushes red and cries, mumbling a yes before Yusei is standing, slipping the ring on, and kissing the daylights out of Bastion. When they do finally marry, Bastion takes on Yusei’s name in a hyphenation so he becomes Bastion Misawa-Fudo.

Jaden and Jack marry for the financial/medical reasons. They don't particularly do a proposal, they just say 'we should do it for xyz.' They do not take on each other’s name, and they don’t make a big deal of it.

What would their wedding be like;

Though they don’t care for marriage, each married couple does have a wedding.

Bastion and Yusei have a calm wedding with family and close friends where the only media allowed is Carly. The media is allowed since Yusei is a figure for the people, but mostly it is just the enjoyment of each other. Yusei wears a black tuxedo. Bastion wears a white tuxedo (though I have thought of Bastion wearing a white wedding gown). Their rings would be simple, just silver bands. But on the inside would be all of their names etched.

Jack and Jaden have a much bigger wedding with all the press and all the bells and whistles. Jack makes it a big extravaganza, wearing his best tuxedo with the finest threads. Jaden would wear a red tuxedo. There would be talk that Jaden is similar to the famous ‘Jaden Yuki’ that disappeared years ago, but often it is thought he is just named after the same man. They don’t correct that thinking. They too have simple silver bands, much to the presses’ disappointment, but inside is also all of their names.

How many kids would they have;

This has been plotted between Kit and I for a long while, as well as a recent addition from Yugirl.

Jack Atlas (mommy) + Jaden Yuki (papa) = Shiloh Yuki (female)

Jack Atlas (mommy) + Yusei Fudo (daddy) = Lily Fudo (female)

Jaden Yuki (papa) + Bastion Misawa-Fudo (mama) = Yubel “Yubie” Yuki (male)

Pleasantly surprised to be in one of these, so let’s go

Favorite series: *Gestures to icon* Is it any surprise I’ll be picking GX? I love GX with all my heart and soul. The story’s pacing is very good and never feels like it’s dragging its feet to get to where it’s going, most duels are over in less than a full episode with the longest one being three, there are so many good characters to get invested in, and this boy right here is your protagonist.

Look at him blow kisses to the audience after beating Crowler, how could anyone not love Jaden Yuki? I care him so much. Even the filler episodes in GX are pretty fun to watch most of the time, and it’s the good kind of filler that may not advance the plot much or at all, but it’ll give you plenty of good memories to take with you. Who could possibly forget the eggwich thief? Not to mention the soundtrack fucking slaps.

Favorite protagonist: I mean...

Yeah it’s Jaden. GX hooked me immediately when I started watching it because of how much I loved this boy. He’s that perfect mix of cocky and sweet when it comes to dueling because he’s confident in his own abilities, but he never stops having fun and being amazed at what his opponent can do, he cares about all of his friends and does his best to help them with their problems, he’s kind to strangers, and he has exactly half a brain cell.

I feel the gif speaks for itself, but Jaden’s dialogue when he turns around here is “I’m such a sucker for things like this! I’ll help you, ma’am!” Dorothy says “No, you’ll be late... Don’t you have a test today?” And Jaden replies with “Who cares if I’m late? I couldn’t leave a lady in trouble!” Jaden Yuki is my absolute favorite protagonist.

Favorite rival: Oh man is that a tough one. Am I allowed to pick two? It’s a hard call to make between this dumb edgy bitch-

Honestly they’re tied for favorite rival in my book. I absolutely loved Chazz when I watched GX, and I thought his arc about breaking through his inferiority/superiority complex and learning to accept loss as a part of life without letting it define him was wonderfully written, and seeing him grow as a person throughout the show just made me feel happy for him. Shark... I really thought I wasn’t going to end up liking Shark at first, but god he just gets so much better as Zexal goes on, starting out as this mean spirited middle school bully in episode one, and slowly ending up as Yuma’s boyfriend closest friend. It’s incredible to look back at how Shark acts when he’s first introduced and compare it to... season 3, I think it was, where just hearing the words “Yuma’s in danger” is enough to send him running to his rival’s side. Chazz and Shark. They are my favorites.

Favorite BFF: Him

Crow Hogan is an absolute treasure and he was my favorite part about watching 5Ds. This little bird man first gets introduced by stealing cards for his kids and clowning on Sector Security, and he’s a source of so much good throughout the show. Excellent best friend (technically brother but I’m counting him), wonderful father, 10/10 person all around. Plus the fact that the only thing stopping him from berating his bitchass brother even more was Yusei having to literally pick him up and pull him away is definitely extra points in my book. What a powerful little bird. His only weakness is people that are taller than him, which is unfortunately most people.

Favorite GFF:

Yuzu. Have I actually watched Arc V yet? No, but I’m still picking Yuzu for my number one here. Tea and Tori are just awful characters, I’m neutral towards Alexis, and Akiza... Did have potential to be something interesting on her own, despite how uncomfortable she made me in seasons 1-2 of 5Ds, but her relevance is alllll downhill from there. I’ve seen one clip of Yuzu yelling at a man eating pie and calling him a 100th rate duelist, and that was all I needed to know she would be my favorite. (Clip here)

Favorite villain: Oh boy

The fuckin carrot is my favorite villain, and I say this as someone who fully believes he didn’t deserve to be in the last episode. Vector did some fucked up shit in his day, and he only continued to do fucked up shit in Yuma’s day, but I have to say he was pretty effective when it came down to his goals. He got things done and went right for what he wanted by taking direct action to seize Don Thousand’s power, and he manipulated Yuma perfectly by preying on his kind nature and love for Astral to use him to further his goals.

...Plus I mean just look at his subbed dialogue God he’s such a slut. Evil slutty alien.

Tl;dr Vector was a horrible horrible person, but he was a good villain, and he was so entertaining whenever he was on screen that it was impossible not to like him. Still kinda wish he got what he deserved though, and what he deserved definitely wasn’t another chance.

Speaking of Don Thousand though, can we talk about how unfairly pretty he is? If I had to pick a runner up villain in terms of looks alone, it would definitely be him.

God it was not fair how pretty the big bad of Zexal was. He’s fucking gorgeous, and in my opinion, the best looking villain at the very least.

Favorite card: *Sweats in Duel Links* Favorite? There’s so many cards out there to pick from, but since I’ve already broken the rules with my two favorite rivals, I’ll be picking two of each card type: Spells, traps, and monsters. One for the aesthetic, and one for how often I make use of it.

First up, the Aesthetics group

What can I say, Vampiric Koala is such a cutie, Dwimmered Path has some really pretty card art, and Rainbow Life is an eternal flex on any heteros I may encounter while playing Duel Links. Nothing better than a gay trap card.

Now for usability

Dragon Knight of Creation is suuuper helpful in any dragon themed deck and has a permanent slot in my decks for Mokuba and Kaiba, PoG is always a fun way to boost up weak monsters to ridiculous heights, and Dark Bribe just lets you block your opponent like “Okay I know you wanna hurt me but I will let you draw another card if you do not do that thing”, and they can’t refuse you.

Favorite episode: I’ll be copying cipher’s format here and picking one for each series, but this will still only total out to five for me since I’ve yet to watch past Zexal ^^; Soon I’ll get to Arc V! One day...

Season 0: Episode 16: Turnabout by a Hair's Breadth - The White-Robed Crisis I’m a sucker for my son Joey, and this was a good Joey episode about him and his sister, plus it was nice seeing that doctor get what he deserved :) Duel Monsters: Season 5, episode 12-14: The Deciding Match for Duel King - Yugi vs. Leon/Golden Castle of Stromberg/KC Grand Prix Ends Probably a weird batch of episodes to pick, I know, but a lot of DM was kinda forgettable to me, and these are some of the few episodes I do recall. I just... really felt for Leon’s situation, and I wanted good things for that boy. I care him. GX: Season 3, episode 34: Dark Fusion! Inferno Wing!! Jim. Jim Jim Jimmmmm. This was the episode that finally made me understand why saviorshipping was a thing because it hits you with all these memories Jim has of Jaden and shows how they bonded before all this Dark World shit happened, and the whole thing was very emotional. 5Ds: Season 4, episode 2-3: Recollections, Entrusted with a Friend's Dying Wish God Crow, my precious bird son. I really liked the backstory they gave him, despite how much it hurt. It was probably the best character development he got in the whole of 5Ds, and let you see a side to him you probably wouldn’t expect. I loved watching him get his justice. Zexal II: Season 2, episode 5-6: Alito the Silent Fighter - Reunion of the Passionate Duelists!/ Be Revived! The Duelist Soul That Transcends Life!! I picked these episodes for Nistro and Nistro alone. He was one of my absolute favorites in Zexal, and seeing how well he and Dextra were doing was good for the soul. Just look at this good lion man right here.

Favorite decks to use: Elemental Heroes, Aromages, Red Eyes, Six Samurai, and Crystal Beasts.

Fusion, Ritual, Synchro, Xyz, Pendulum, or Link: I’m a simple girl, I love fusion/tributes for how easy they are, but synchro can be pretty fun, too

Years in fandom: ??? Even I don’t know the answer to this one, friends. I used to be in the fandom when I was in middle school, wrote/read a few fanfics here and there, but then I fell out of it for... Well I’m 22 now and only got back into things 6 months ago? I started rewatching the abridged series of Duel Monsters in March, and from there I just wanted to consume actual Yugioh content and never went back.

Post gx fluff headcanons for Jaden?

Jaden Yuki is a hero.

He’s not quite able to acknowledge it to himself yet, but he’s finally grown into the hero he aspired to be as a child— he makes up for his lack of a home by providing warmth and safety to the people who need him. He’s especially good with kids; they’re more sensitive to spirits, so he loves showing off Winged Kuriboh and the rest of his heroes.

It does take him awhile before he’s able to visit his friends, but as he travels, he’s picking up trinkets and mailing them back home for everyone. He also keeps up with Chazz and Zane’s professional careers, catching their duels on television; if Alexis ends up teaching like she thought she would, Jaden is available to talk at all hours, listening to her good days and bad.

Y’know what traveler’s notebooks are? Jaden fills separate ones for each of his friends as he travels, sticking photographs to the pages and writing different pieces of his adventures for everyone. He fills up book after book after book, and is torn between mailing them to his friends with their other gifts, or holding onto them until he’s home and gifting them in person.

Since he’s doing so much traveling, Jaden begins picking up new recipes; he’s not much of a cook, but he’s at least learned to feed himself, and practicing local cuisine is a good way to improve. The first thing he does, though, is always find new and improved recipes for his favorite food, fried shrimp.

He also starts a collection of his favorite duel monsters cards in different languages! He’s got dozens of copies of Flame Wingman now— it’s a good thing he already knows its card text so well, because he can’t read any of the other copies.

Starshipping In Gx

So I am not the best writer, but @dissociativeyuugi asked for a fic based off of my headcanon. So I am going to make a one-shot of part one. I may make more, or I may not, I don't know.

Three teenagers were running down the street. One had a headband, a necklace with bones on it, and a yellow vest. He is named Tyranno Hassleberry. Another had wild blue hair, a cropped yellow jacket, and spectacle glasses; He has the name of Syrus Truesdale. The last one had a red cropped jacket as well as duel colored brown and orange hair. His name is Jaden Yuki.

The boys come to a conjunction and look back to their guide Solomon Muto only to not see him.

"Huh," said Jaden, "looks like we lost grandpa, game time, let's split up and look for him "

The boys split up to look for their lost guide.

All of a sudden, storm clouds move in and cast the city in a dark shadow. "That's weird it was just sunny," Jaden says.

Kuri

A fuzzball of brown hair, with white wings, and green clawed paws appeared in front of Jaden.

" What's up Winged Kuriboh"

Another being appeared a bird-like man with white wings. He said," can you not see them?"

Jaden asks," Can I not see what?"

"The source of this power. Look more closely."

There is a giant in the distance, the birdman points out even more giants, and explains to Jaden what they are that they are ancient duel monster spirits and that they are creating a spiritual barrier. And how if they are not removed no one could leave. That they are being controlled by someone.

"Well, I can't worry about that now. I need to find Yugi's Grandpa," Jaden said as he took off running.

"Okay, I'm officially lost," Jaden exclaimed with a sigh. "Maybe I can ask for some direction at this shop." He goes into a mechanic shop that is open.

It's not very well lit. Cluttered with motorbikes, parts, and of course, tools. There is only one man in the shop he is in a black tank top with a red symbol on it, black hair with yellow highlights, and a yellow mark on his right(correct me if I'm wrong) cheek.

"Hello, how can I help you?" the man asks.

"Hi, I am a little lost. I don't know my way around here." Jaden says.

"Lost where are you trying to get to? Maybe I could help."

Jaden ponders, if I can get to the game shop I could find out where to go from there. Then says," Kame Game do you know where it is?"

The man thinks for a minute, "No I don't sorry. If I may ask why are you going there?"

"It is where my friends decided to meet up after we went our separate ways."

"Why Kame Game out of every other place."

"well, we are here on a field trip from Duel Acadamy."

The man smiled and said, "Say no more."

At that, Jaden laughed, "do you know any way I can get some directions."

The man had to think for a moment before he said, "one of my co-workers may know you could stay around and wait for him to get back from his lunch break."

Jaden said in response, "Sure, why not, it beats running around trying to find it."

The man laughed, and Jaden realized this man was not too shabby in the looks department. He may have blushed, but who could tell with the storm clouds outside and the low lighting of the shop.

Jaden asks, "may I have your name?"

"It's Yusei Fudo" The man newly dubbed Yusei said.

As they waited for Yusei's co-worker to return, Jaden and Yusei had been talking for some time. About Yusei's life, and Jaden's school trip, and how his guide disappeared. That particular conversation leads to Jaden asking for Yusei's number and guess who got it.

Just after that, Yusei's co-worker, James, walked in. He was able to give Jaden the directions he needed.

After Jaden left Yusei looked to James and said, "well, I am screwed." James just laughed.

Can you tell me more about Jaden Yuki? What's his personality like? How did you two get together? Where do you two like to go on dates?

Yeah, absolutely! He's from Yu-Gi-Oh GX, so Duel Monsters is his favorite game, but he likes most any game, from base ball to uno to Legend Of Zelda. He's really sweet and he's a great friend, always going out of his way to help everyone even when it's a detriment to his own health(he could stand to be a little more selfish at times) and he's always encouraging everyone to do and be the best they can! He also has the power to see spirits, of all kinds, but mostly Duel Spirits and he has a few of them with him all the time, from his teacher Professor Banner, to his partners Winged Kuriboh and Yubel. We probably wouldn't have ever ended up together if it weren't for Yubel to be honest...Considering how protective she is of him, I'm surprised that she not only approves of me, but was a huge driving force in getting him to recognize and act on his feelings for me. Honestly, I didn't think we'd be as good of friends as we are, but she's an utter delight, she's like a big sister to be honest! Since covid and quarantine started before we officially got together(despite the pining for the last twelve years on both ends) we haven't really had the chance to go on any real dates. On the few chances we can go out, we generally wind up at Game Xchange(There's several within driving distance where we are) looking through second hand Duel Monsters cards, I actually got my own deck built this year! It's really exciting, I can't wait to get a chance to play....And immediately get my ass kicked into the dirt because I don't understand any of the newer tactics and they're really hard to defend against. Thanks so much for the distraction ^^

Day 26: “More Than Mere Cards”

As some duelists know, Duel Monster cards are more than just pieces of cardstock. Today we celebrate the spirits that live inside the cards!

((Ok, so this might be a little different to most entries but let’s focus on a less talked about duelist spirit relationship. And we make an epic return to the Dyspia arc! I listened to Karma by Anxhela Peristeri on loop for this))

Shepherd stared in horror as Cyber Ogre 2 attacked Cyber End Dragon. The card Zane grew up with and treasured more than anything

“What have you done!? You and that dragon held a special bond!”

“We still do!!” Zane hissed, “I can hear its spirit, screaming for mercy! And guess what!? I don’t really care!!”

That was over a year ago…

As Zane duelled with the Cyber Dark Underworld Deck, he continued to hear the spirit of the Cyber End Dragon. It cried out to him, begging him to see mercy, to remember what they went through together, to remember what he was taught about respecting the opponent. But over time, Zane grew numb to its cries, and soon he could no longer hear them.

He used Cyber End Dragon rarely. Even when he wasn’t as bloodthirsty as he used to be, he avoided using it when he could. He didn’t want to face it when he could help it,

However, there did come a time when he needed to play it against Yubel… as much as he wanted to fight, his heart couldn’t take it. As he fell, he could hear Cyber End Dragon call to him.

“It’s ok… you did your best….”

Zane never thought he’d duel again when he was revived, and he wasn’t even sure he wanted to. However, when he received the ominous message from Dyspia, he knew he had to leave the infirmary and find out what was going on.

“Good evening... If you see me, you're someone who claims to be close to Jaden Yuki... His soul is in my possession... Should you wish to rescue him, you may find him beneath the abandoned dorm... But take head... For the longer you take, the more painful his death will be... That I can promise.”

Zane joined the others at the abandoned dorm. He wanted to help get Jaden back by any means necessary.

He couldn’t pretend he wasn’t shaken up by what he saw there. The walls looked like they were dripping in blood, and the floors flooded with tears.

Then Ms Mutou, a teacher and friend to the group, was suddenly dragged by shadows and swallowed whole by the ground.

That was horrifying.

Zane was about to demand to know where Jaden was when suddenly he was swallowed by a portal to another world.

That’s when he met the other Zane, dressed in his Hell Kaiser attire, challenging him to a duel.

Thankfully for him, he had Syrus and Atticus standing at his side.

As the former pro and doppelganger duelled, Hell Kaiser was chiding Zane about how he mellowed out. How he had given up his quest for victory and that he was nothing now.

To add insult to injury, he summoned Cyber End Dragon, “the spirit partner you’ve scorned for so long.”

Zane sighed, holding his arms up. “Go on then… do it….”

“What?!” Kaiser was confused.

“I’ve hurt and scorned Cyber End Dragon… I deserve to be struck down by it as penance….”

“But what about your victory!?”

Zane looked over his shoulder to Atticus and Syrus and then thought back to everyone he met through duel academy and beyond and how much they meant to them.

“When I have them, I don’t need victory! I’m victorious already!!”

Cyber End Dragon seemed to growl hesitantly at this.

“It’s alright, old friend… I can take it… do what needs to be done… attack with Super Stridant Flames!!”

Cyber End Dragon attacked, and Zane flew back, collapsing onto the saltwater floor in pain.

Hell Kaiser smirked and bowed “well done, Zane… you conquered yourself, and by doing so, you have defeated me… congratulations.”

Zane sat up in confusion before Hell Kaiser smiled kindly at him. “Never forget who you are or your bond with Cyber End Dragon….”

And with that, he disappeared.

Atticus and Syrus helped Zane stand up and checked him over. “I-I’m fine… let me get my chair.”

He slowly sat down and looked at his deck. “I was planning to give this deck to you, Syrus and start again… I shouldn’t be using it anymore….”

“Well then, don’t use it anymore, Zane!” Syrus squeaked. “But… keep Cyber End Dragon, ok? It clearly loves you and wants to be with you….”

Zane smiled. “I won’t let it down again….”

He felt the spirit comforting him warmly, a warmth he hadn’t felt since he was a child.

Well done, Zane… I’m so proud of you…
