so i’ve been batting around a couple ways to do this. at first i just wasn’t gonna say anything. just go dark. then i thought, well, i guess if anyone cared they should be able to know what happened, right? so i decided to go a step further and post a song that i thought sounded dejected and how i was feeling and stuff. but then again, too vague. at the very best it would be confusing. so i drafted up a note that i planned to schedule for an hour after the song. but that note really just didn’t work for me. it felt too… “oh, and by the way-” for me. then i made a not-so-amazing song of my own, and even drew art for it. and while sure, it works to let youtube know i won’t be uploading anymore, it would once again mean nothing to tumblr. it just wouldn't work for the platform.

so, if it wasn’t obvious, i’m horrible at saying anything directly. in conversation, in writing, even in therapy.

you may have noticed that as of late my blog has been absolutely dominated by negative self-talk and less-than-positive posts. i apologize for that. but maybe because of that, this will come as less of a shock to you.

my original message stated the following:

i want to be as unspecific as possible, but the long and short of it is that i do not plan on returning to tumblr. or any social media, for that matter. i will cease production of both art and music, and all current projects, from the sonic obscurity opposition to my youtube channel, are now forfeit. this is very much the end of my presence.

what i meant to say was this.

on wednesday, june 28th, 2023, at around 10 pm pst (or right after this post), i will be taking my own life.

it’s something i’ve put a lot of thought into, something i’ve been planning ever since i first said i would be taking a break on that date. it’s not something new, either. i have attempted at least 3 times that i remember, and i have stayed at a “mental wellness center” in the past. two of those times i was simply overcome with fear, and the remaining time my mom caught me. but i’m older now. the only thing i fear is going back to the hospital, and i have taken steps to ensure that my family doesn’t find out until it’s done.

i would like to give my sincere gratitude to anyone who put up with me over the years. i know just how draining i can be, and i understand that i’m not a good person.

this is my goodbye. i hope you live your life better than i did mine.

With over 20 members currently on the QSMP and more on the way, it's almost impossible for a single person to stay up to date on everything that happens, even with help from QSMP's official Twitter recap accounts.

For people who are interested in QSMP's story, characters, and/or streamers but don't have time to watch hundreds of hours worth of VODs, I've created the QSMP VOD Timestamp Archive.

If there's a particular lore moment you missed live and can't find, search for it in the archive!

Timestamps include quotes, notable lore events, and funny interactions. Interesting or important moments from each stream are bolded for emphasis. I'm also adding short summaries for lore-heavy / eventful stream.

I've organized the document so it should be easy to navigate, and you can CTRL + F to search for specific streamers and/or events.

Complete VOD playlists, recaps, and additional resources are also included in the document for people who might be feeling overwhelmed by the amount of QSMP content out there. It's never too late to get into the series!

If you have a streamer you watch consistently, consider writing down important timestamps to help fellow fans! You don’t have to take detailed notes like mine – even one or two timestamps can be a real lifesaver. If you have any helpful timestamps you want added to the list (or even a 1 sentence summary of a particular stream), send it to me via DM so I can add it to the archive.

I am just one person, so unfortunately this archive is by no means comprehensive, but I'm constantly updating things and adding more streams and timestamps to the document. I've been working on this project for a while now, so even though it's not complete, I hope people find it useful!

anyway i like never really know how to talk about this because i don't want to come off like i think i'm better than anyone else. i'm very much prone to my own bits of bitchiness and i'm sure i've said things on here that are contradictory, not fair, not thoughtful or not kind, but i really wish, broadly speaking, that we could talk about creative pursuits in a slightly gentler way. i think the constant flux of "he would not fucking say that" posts and condescending diatribes about the Right way to write something [a character, a type of story, etc] are so incredibly discouraging to new writers. you don't want to be someone's "he would not fucking say that," so you sit around and feel ashamed and scared to share your writing, afraid of ridicule. it sucks. i don't like it.

He's the biggest kid here. Large and In Charge.

thinkin abt daddy!izuku, who you never anticipated would be a daddy dom. he hasn’t even told you yet, but you can just tell by the way he talks and treats you. how he takes the lead and “helps” you when you’re perfectly capable. the way he insists on brushing your hair or tying your shoes to “pamper” you. his tone of voice when he speaks to you - not patronizing, but there’s something you can’t put your finger on that almost makes you slip into that familiar headspace. how he constantly holds your hand when you’re out of the house or encourages your needy behavior when you apologize for it. “sweetheart” becomes “sweet pea” and “princess” over time. then one day, he slips up and says, “here little one, let me help you.” your head snaps in his direction and his cheeks are already flooding with color like yours. let’s just say his slip of the tongue lead to a long discussion that ended with you naked in his arms.

Some miscellaneous writing tips I've gathered over the years

Bear in mind that these are not rules. They are just things that work for me, and I'm passing them along in case they work for you:

Rewriting is a great cure for clunky prose

Make an outline at least once. If you don't want to make an outline before the first draft, that's okay, it can be just as helpful to make one after the first draft as a sort of play by play of the story.

Making an outline before you start writing does not mean you are anchored down to the outline. The outline isn't gonna come steal your firstborn. It's okay. It's just a guide for yourself. You are free to go with or against it as you please.

If you feel you've used "said" too much, reach for an action tag, or simply omit the dialogue tag altogether, rather than trying to come up with a clever synonym for 'said' (looking at you, 'uttered')

You do not need to remove every single adverb/adjective from your work; just be aware of them, and ask yourself if they're telling you anything that isn't already a feature of the noun/verb they're describing (eg: 'big elephant', 'smiled happily'). If the answer is no, consider removing it.
