I had a recent argument with someone, and I'd like to share it.

To keep this part short (trust me it's not super important), I'm currently disabled due to both mental/physical issues and unable to work due to my living area being mostly heavy lifting/driving/customer service (three things I cannot do because of my issues). But with my current situation, my brother and his partner are trying to get me into having a job regardless of that.

So, we started discussing jobs I can do.

As we talked, I brought up that I'm not going to work for McDonald's. My main reason was not only because they treat employees like trash, but also because they directly support Israel and their genocide against the Palestinians. This spiraled into a discussion that caused my paranoia to skyrocket, basically my brother pointing out that I had to 'pick and choose my battles' because it was either get a job or end up homeless and starving on the streets.

Basically, by the end of it, the discussion went nowhere.

I kept on reiterating that this was just with McDonald's, I only brought it up because either of them may have suggested it anyways and I just wanted it to be clear why I wasn't going to work at such a place. Then my brother kept on stating that EVERY company was supporting Israel in some way, which I already knew and I stated that I wouldn't work for companies that gave direct support (basically if their money is being directly given to Israel rather than the government just taking bits and pieces from the profits made by any/all companies in the US).

I know he's right, but my issue was that I was getting paranoid from all this. I have my clear boundaries with these things, and yes I know that no matter what our tax dollars are going into funding this genocide. But, I'd rather keep myself from working for a business that gives direct support. And I do have other job options, I know that I do. So I don't know why he went off on me like that, when I gave him my clear points and he still said 'but if you support Palestine then just don't work at all or shut up and take the job' (he didn't say that exactly but with how he was wording it that's how I felt the argument was going.

How The Main Trio Would React To You Coming Out As Trans

This is just for fun, my little headcanons running amok hehehe.

I feel like, no matter if you were FTM or MTF, he would be EXTREMELY taken off guard. And he would be very ignorant about it, but not in a mean way - he's just never met a trans person before, especially one that is a fellow classmate. But don't worry, he accepts you very quickly and doesn't bring it up ever again (mostly out of embarrassment and shame on his end). And if anyone misgenders or mistreats you in front of him, he will give them a lecture on why being transphobic is disgusting...or he'll just knock their lights out (it's really 50/50 with him, it depends on who's being transphobic and how they're going about it).

Katsuki would most likely have already known you were trans, but to him it doesn't matter. He doesn't have the same gender bias as everyone else, and in this case it is a blessing. He'd definitely be all like 'who the hell cares? you still gonna work to be a hero?' and then maybe even ask you to train with him to 'help' (just don't point that out or he will beat the shit out of you he is a sensitive boi). If he sees others misgendering or mistreating you, he will give you some VERY aggressive support and say stuff like 'why should those extras matter to you? you're still working to be a hero, dumbass' and then would secretly go after the transphobes to beat the shit out of them as a 'lesson'.

He would be VERY confused, questioning you what 'trans' means and all that (he was sheltered from the world so he's not really keen on knowing these things outright). But, once you explain, he is very cool with it. It's not like he'll become a trans activist or anything like that, but if he sees someone misgendering you he will correct them by saying 'he/she is a girl/boy, they may look like a boy/girl now but they are doing their best to become their true self'. And you being out as your true self, he admires that strength so much.

HAHAHAHAHA

Well, at least they won't get cancelled now huh?

I get this 100%.

I do have issues of my own outside of BPD (ADHD, Autism, Anxiety, Depression, and BPD), and everyone knows of my issues...yet they still assume I do this all on purpose. I am mentally damaged, h*ll I'm lucky if I even stay somewhat lucid even on a really good day because I disassociate 90% of the time anyways. So when they suddenly get angry at me and say they don't care about my issues, it really sets me back quite a bit. Because if I try to fix ONE issue, suddenly everything else just doesn't exist to me and it's suddenly my fault when I mess up.

I just wish that I could fix everything, to not be this mess of a person who is terrified of everything to the point where I can't even leave the house. I wish I could talk normally, instead of having my words misunderstood and that starts yet another argument because I 'said it wrong' when from my point of view I was 100% honest. But most of all, I wish that I could control my emotions and not be triggered by every little thing I see as a threat.

It is so hard, and I hate it that my loved ones have to deal with it all. Because the result is them yelling at me, over any little thing I mess up.

Ugh. No matter how much I try to work on my DBT, I still fuck up. My boyfriend is seriously thinking about ending the relationship it seems for real this time because my BPD behaviors won't stop and it's frequent. If I could just get therapy, I could get help with the DBT. I feel like I can't learn it on my own. I'm losing my family. I act like a monster. And I honestly feel I can't control it no matter how hard I try. And no one believes me. They say I choose it. I just want to be able to control my emotions even just a little.

I have been saying this exact thing, like WHY are people still believing this parasite with ANYTHING he says (especially since all that's left of that a**hole is a literal vestige, while the original reversed himself into non-existence)??

What AFO is doing is just a last ditch effort in trying to regain control. It's what abusers do, if they see their victim(s) starting to 'rebel' they begin pulling out lines like 'oh but I gave you life and I can take you out' kinda bullshit. I will NEVER believe anything this pathetic excuse for a 'human' says, not until we can see his exact memories and see what really went down through his point of view. But even then, f*ck him. It doesn't change what he did.

And yes, Nana is still at fault. But we can blame her all we want, it was still AFO's fault to begin with that Nana even considered abandoning her kid. If he wasn't a force at play, I bet that she would still be alive and be with her kid (meaning Tenko may not have been born but eh that's a timeline discussion for another day).

can someone please explain to me how afo reveal 'absolves' nana and kotarou? i mean, nothing about nana's actions and etc changed with this reveal. literally zero. she still chose to keep ofa with herself instead of passing it on. she still sacrificed her own happiness for the sake of others and hurt her son by doing what was right. it only confirmed that what she did was for nothing.

afo didn't manipulate kotarou to hate heroes and didn't suggest being strict with tenko, he only encouraged him ALREADY being strict with tenko. and lord, okay, you can argue that kotarou's trauma was the result of afo hunting down and killing ofa holders (nana included) and their families, but we knew that since, like, forever. why did this become a deal breaker only now???

A BNHA Shinsou Hitoshi Character Study:

This is just a character study on Sinsou based on my opinions. I had found a few things that were pretty interesting to me and wanted to share my findings~

Most of the following bullet-pointed information has been taken from Wiki about the character Shinsou. But I will be presenting this as fairly solid information about what we see Shinsou from the manga: - He is straightforward, could be said to have a cold personality and a bit sarcastic. Characterized as “in your face” by Midoriya, Uraraka, and Iida. Though, he’s also passive aggressive as it’s readily apparent in Japanese. There’s a lot of “Don’t you think that [insert something rude here]” type of underhanded brashness (this info was given to me by the wonderful sugarmagic). -    Shinsou could not make it through the entrance exams, so he entered Yuuei though the regular department. Though we do not know specifically what happened during his entrance exams that made him fail. -    He has been labeled as someone with a “villain quirk”, a “quirk unfavored by fate”, though he claims that he is used to this criticism. -    Shinsou’s quirk is rare, as other students comment about never having heard of one like it before.   -    He harbors resentment against those he views as having “perfect quirks”, and thinks that they could not possibly understand someone who has a quirk like his. -    He has revealed his disappointment about class 1-A openly and has “declared war” on them during the lead-up to the Sports Festival. Specifically, this was aimed at Katsuki’s attitude. -    He wants to not only become a hero, but a hero greater than anybody in Class 1-A. -    During the festival, he used his quirk on others in order to make his own way through the obstacles and the cavalry battle. Very passive and even underhanded maneuvers. -    Through the entire festival, he did not hurt a single person other than Midoriya when he lost his cool and punched him, once, and began just pushing Midoriya back before he got beaten. -    After the festival, the Gen Ed students considered him a “star of hope” for everyone who wants to go into Heroics in their department. -    Shinsou revealed his new-found admiration for Midoriya after their fight as well as his renewed determination to surpass him and everyone else in 1-A -    He has a tendency to cover the back of his neck / head. -    Shinsou is considered tall, 5’9” ish. An inch above Katsuki. Four inches above Midoriya. -    Shinsou and Midoriya have almost the same STATS in the character data book, with the only difference being Shinsou has an E in Cooperativeness and Midoriya has an A. -    Shinsou is a Cancer in the Western Zodiac. -    Shinsou likes cats and biking.

Reading over the manga, it’s easy to see Shinsou as a strong-willed character, but how strong willed is Shinsou, really? Shinsou seems like a straightforward individual when we first meet him, with him declaring war on the Heroics Dept. Further into the story arc, however, there were times when Shinsou turned away from / was hesitated to react to others opinions. Examples of this include not even attempting to counter his classmates’ words when Shinsou is being told that he has a villainous quirk in the flashback, the fact that Shinsou turns away from Midoriya when Ojiro opts out of the festival as well as his inability to face Midoriya when he makes a speech about showing all of them up as a “fantastic fucking hero.” Midoriya very well seems like he is about to say something positive until Shinsou takes over his mind, preventing him from doing that.  It had seemed like Midoriya tries to cheer for Shinsou, but Shinsou sees it coming and doesn’t let him. What would we call this hesitation to accept others’ perception of himself, whether it be positive or negative? Certainly not boldness, that much is clear.

Shinsou’s lack of being intimidated can be seen throughout his appearance in the manga… Still it seems he can definitely be intimidated by circumstance. We have only seen this kid meet other students at his level; I don’t think this would apply to, let’s say, a Villain or meeting All Might in the flesh… But in the end, we just don’t know for sure because so little has been offered to the readers about this character. Also, it seems that Shinsou got flustered pretty fast once he lost control of the situation during the fight against Midoriya.

While Shinsou can be a prickly individual, him covering the back of his neck/head is an interesting action that can tell a lot about an individual’s inner thoughts. Found on the site Psychology Today - “… when people are insecure, troubled, scared, concerned, worried, or nervous, they covered or touched their neck …” If you would like to read more, this quote is from:   https://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/spycatcher/200911/body-language-secrets-the-neck. Plus, culturally, it’s a well-known gesture of self-consciousness in many regions.

We don’t see the character blush at all in the manga (much like Bakugou) Then there are a lot of fanworks out there (including my own) where we see the character blush. Just because I like the concept, let me say this: blushing is natural. If you are human it will happen at certain points, whether you want it to or not. Charles Dickens once had said “blushing is an involuntary reaction that seems to serve no purpose beyond making an embarrassing situation even worse.” And that is the key word, involuntary. While we do not see this in the manga, I believe Shinsou could blush given the right situation ;)

So, we don’t really know what happened during the entrance exam for Shinsou, thus we cannot determine if his quirk is considered a weakness.  Only Shinsou thinks lowly of his own Quirk. It’s curious, because if we take a deeper look, there are many other quirks that are more or less not combat oriented in the Hero Dept. How on earth did Kouji with his animal voice quirk make it through the exams, for example? How did Tooru? What about Manga from Class 1-B with their Comic quirk? How do you take down the giant entrance exam robots with quirks like these? Yet again, there just isn’t enough data provided to us to figure things out, but, at the end of the day, Shinsou’s perception of his own quirk and himself definitely feels like it’s being warped by his insecurities and self-effacement.

Shinsou’s Western Zodiac Sign, sorry, but I am going to get into it because it’s interesting… Shinsou is not a people person. He is of a sign that is not too easy to get along with (which is all theory). But then again, the Zodiac Signs of the characters in BNHA seem to match their personalities, so this could very well be an intentional development made by Horikoshi. Example: Bakugou is borderline Taurus / Aries [Insert an elaboration on how it is?], Tokoyami and all of his darkness is a Scorpio, Pony Tsunotori from class 1-B is another borderline Taurus / Aries (pun?), Endeavor for all of his pride is a Leo, the list goes on and on… So if Shinsou is an accurate Cancer, then that would mean :

Strengths: Tenacious, highly imaginative, loyal, emotional, sympathetic, persuasive Weaknesses: Moody, pessimistic, suspicious, manipulative, insecure Cancer likes: Art, home-based hobbies, relaxing near or in water, helping loved ones, a good meal with friends Cancer dislikes: Strangers, any criticism of their mother, revealing of personal life

Again, these are my own thoughts and theories on the Shinsou Character from BNHA. Please feel free to disagree with them as they are only my opinions and to create your own theories on this interesting character as so little is provided in the manga that all we can do, at this point, is to speculate until he, hopefully, returns to make an appearance :)

Just imagine them both playing Stardew, Tomura would be in the mines fighting monsters while Deku would do the farming. And when deku isn't there to play, Tomura would actually do the farming in his place and Deku would come back to see Tomura had played non-stop for three whole days.

I love the plot for the movie, how All Might's message (which we know was clearly for Deku) was taken by someone and twisted into them not only taking his face but also them just being a villain.

Also, I'm betting his quirk is energy-based. Whenever he gets ready to punch, it looks like a yellow glow covers his hand (and when he holds Deku's ankle it happens again). I hope it's actually called 'Superpower', that'd be hilarious.

I realized something...

The reason he makes this face is because he’s trying to imitate his father and look down his nose at people.  Only he’s not as freakishly tall as Endeavor is, so he has to compensate by tilting his head back slightly.

In the first pic, he's talking to Shigaraki, who was sitting down at the time, and Toga was standing next to him not doing anything weird with her head angles despite being shorter. Second pic, he's looking at Shouto who's the same height as him.

I think my biggest problem with stories about immortals who want to die out of "boredom" or despair over living too long and being jaded about it is that like...

Yes, after a few eons you'd run out of things to master and learn, but like... The idea that observing humanity or other sapient beings is something that would ever get "boring" or you'd tire of makes no sense to me, considering we're the species that keeps making stories and art and sharing it with each other. I find it much more interesting to frame such characters as becoming passive observers than disillusioned with immortality.

To put it in other words: You could spend innumerable lifetimes observing people and never see the same thing twice.
