If you're reading my Impel Down fic, and know me for 5 minutes, you know that I have an undying love of the (deep) sea. So, in preparation of especially part two of that fic, in which I go unnecessarily out of my way to integrate the deep sea trench in which the prison sits with the mood of the fic, have some homework!

This is an absolutely lovely documentary of the upper part of the deep sea, the twilight zone, where still some light reaches. It is where Benji will be trying to spot the Prince of the Deep, a Loch Ness Monster status Sea King supposedly inhabiting the dwindling light zones around the great prison.

They'll be going down much further in the fic (over 6 km down, into the hadal zone), but keep an eye on this series. They're going to release more parts, moving deeper and deeper into the ocean.

Do you like Youtube documentaries?

Are you prone to morbidity?

Do you believe in removing the stigma surrounding death and funerals and creating a culture where it can be discussed openly and death plans become commonplace, so that the loss of the loved one isn't inherently coupled with the massive familial battle over how to handle the deceased's body, possessions, and funeral costs?

Well, you should check out Ask A Mortician! Particularly you should watch the above video, which is a documentary about a shipwreck in the Chicago river that has somehow gone undiscussed despite being on par, loss of life wise, with many other historical disasters that we DO commonly learn about.

The reason I am posting this is because Youtube, on its never ending mission to kill every creative who uses the platform, has flagged the video for "violating community guidelines" and as such is no longer being shared by the algorithm, and still might lead to its deletion.

I find the whole thing frustrating. A major component in the story of the SS Eastland is, in the host's own words, that big corporations aren't looking out for us. And here's a big corporation bottlenecking the story of hundreds of poor, immigrant factory workers dying five feet from shore because of the neglect of big corporations.

Even if you aren't personally interested, please consider reblogging.

Direct sharing is the only way this video can be spread now, and quite frankly, I think it's important to prevent Youtube from sweeping this story under the rug.

IMO: Colleen Ballinger

I would just like to put it out there: I support the victims of Colleen Ballinger. Adam McIntyre's honesty has blown me away. He's done so well throughout this whole situation and I appreciate how he's been so open. He never failed to provide us all with hard cold facts.

On that note, Johnny Silvestri is a fucking creep. He was in group chats with minors and would talk to them sexually and would get on video calls drunk as hell. His called his "best friend" a "danger to society." He has had his chance to tell us the truth. He never did. He manipulated everyone and retraumatized the actual victims of Colleen Ballinger.

I would also like to point out that Johnny should have talked to Ella directly before posting on Twitter. Ella should have been made aware of what was happening behind the scenes.

I would also like to add that what Johnny Silvestri has said about victims is fucking despicable. I'm just glad SWOOP was able to find all of this so we could see him for who he really is.

Live Shows (Multiple Incidents)

Pulling a girls legs apart on stage (for a "yoga bit), almost exposing her to the crowd (the girl was wearing a romper so she'd be invited on stage for the porn bit)

Endangering Fans: Becky (The girl mentioned above) says that a lot of men were looking at her in a "predatory way" when she got off stage. She felt unsafe walking to her car. (One example)

Having a bit where Colleen would stuff a bag of cheese balls into her pants and would target young boys (9 to 11 years old) to bring on stage and have them put their hand down her pants.

She was targeting young boys because a fan (age 15 or so) asked if he could be in the bit and she told him "you're to old for that bit."

Colleen had a "porn bit" where she encouraged young girls to dress either like her character Miranda Sings (red pants, white shirt, usually long sleeves) or to dress "skimpy." (usually a tank top and shorts) Colleen would bring the girls on stage and call the one dressed as her "not porn" and girl dressed "skimpy" "not porn." (Reminder: these are children)

Quintana @'ed Adam McIntyre so he would see, turned off the comments on his latest Insta post, turned off all comments, and then blocked Adam. Adam literally just wanted to know what was up. He wasn't even being harassed.

There has since been recent news about Johnny Silvestri (one of the people who came out against Colleen and her ex-husband Josh). The best way to find info about that side of the situation in watching SWOOP's doc on it. (Part 3)
