Take it slow kitten, don't be too hard on yourself, good writers didn't write their best stories on day 1, they just went the with the flow.. kept writing more and their stories became better and better on their own. It's literally absolutely fine to be at your own pace 💗

Ohh haha thankyou tho, I'll take the compliment 🥺💖💖 and dw caramel, it's not just u, it's quite universal to think like that ..including me, and maybe thats why i dropped a lot of novels because i just couldnt get into the writing style, i feel like if there are a lot of complex vocabulary or the beginning is getting dragged too much, Idk I just drop it. It doesn't happen with me only for stories but tv shows like kdramas as well, I am an avid kdrama fan but even though sometimes there are dramas which have literally highest ratings, I have dropped them because I just couldn't get into them (for example, our blues and my liberation notes despite knowing the fact how majority of people liked them while they were airing and even though both dramas had excellent cast, i couldnt feel the same)

Why? Because my preferences are different and so are for others, so don't feel sorry for not feeling it caramel, I'm sure other people who like those authors' styles will love their works ❤️

oh also have you heard of his podcast?? it's called how did we get here? and i love it immensely. it's literally just him and another dude having a conversation for an hour but it's really neat to see how he still creates that, like... same environment, if that makes sense? without all the visual effects (and even without audio effects for the most part). it's alpharad but a little more human, despite the fact that he is very much so still performing for an audience. idk it's just neat :)

And people will excuse all of the shit he gets up to cause his whole ~special magical Thanos vision~ but I don't think the movies actually. do a good job of expanding upon his alleged "paranoia" since it's always. his arrogance + desperation. to be right/loved (daddy issues fr) that lead to him making terribleee choices which blowback on everybody else worse than it does him. (the funny part is that CW is one of my favs of the MCU, but it's more of an Avengers. movie than a Cap one & you can clearly see that with Tony's mess driving the conflict) 🫤 And you knowwww as soon. as the Accords or something else decided to push back/sanction his suits of mass destruction, he'd have had a total bitch fit about it cause the only side Tony is ever on is his. side. 😒 But do not get me S T A R T E D on how Peter is so. intrinsically tied to Tony because the movies were so obsessed with forcing him onto us cause he almost ruins Tom's tenure as the character. The manhandling omfg🫣 and yesss ugh I hate that 5 is such a “return to form” when Scream shouldn’t be aspiring to do that. 6 is even worse with it someone being nothing like 2, yet sharing so many similarities with 2 it’s painful to watch. I’m definitely talking myself into Hughie/Quaid🤭 nerds I guess… and yeah I hate that they cut Tara+Amber and just made Amber all crazy and psycho like a worse version of Mickey/Stu/etc. So true about the growth, I can definitely see the lack of emotional stakes as 6’s reveal happens, because Sam is kind of just like “it was you..🧍‍♀️” without any real revelation. It feels hollow compared to the “damn.. it was them.” that even the audience felt upon 1/2’s reveal. And I completely can see that about 4’s mask, same for H20’s. I just wish they weren’t trying to remind us that he was human under the mask, because the black eyes are hot a good reminder that he loses than humanity upon wearing the mask (my favorite theory is that the mask he wore as a kid and the Michael mask were both made by Silver Shamrock. maybe a prototype before the ones that melter their heads skskshs.) Oh, trust me, I used to be such a big spiderman fan (Holland bias>>> mostly because I was like 13/14 when Civil War came out (god it’s been too long to remember) so I was around the same age as Peter when he entered the MCU. definitely helped contribute to my awakening🤩 when I knew I was gay and/or bi but couldn’t define it yet) Though, I did see TASM 1 in theaters too, but I was a few years younger and don’t have as much of an attachment to that movie that I do with CW and HC respectively, but I love Andrew’s version all the same. The only one that can be excluded is Tobey’s, replace his with insomniac Spiderman and then boom. Trifecta of the best Spidermen. One thing I really love in Garfield’s movies is that, even though he is buff, it felt of-his-age buff and not like his job is to be a full time bodybuilder. Don’t get me wrong, I love Tom beefing up for NWH, but I like how he was skinnier in CW/HC (but was still buff to an almost unrealistic point. Still, i’d let him pound me in those eras. The way all Peter Parker’s (minus tobey) are nerds with big dicks>>>) I’ll definitely share some Spidey ideas (because i have sm drafts of old ones i never went through on writing because man was i obsessed w/tom’s for a while), though!! He’s always been a favorite. And yesss ugh Wally would be make those lockers rattle with how hard he’s thrusting🫣

So true, Wanda deserved sm better and I’m glad she got to be powerful in MOM, just wish it hadn’t come at the expense of other character’s intelligence. Exactly!! If RDJ wasn’t there to sell the character better I wouldn’t be able to stand him one bit. And I totally agree, he had no real reason to be that paranoid. I’m fine with a selfish character, but it’s soooo inconsistent on who he wants to help and who he doesn’t. Plus, he ever gets called out on it, and when he does, he’s always treated as in the right for being the way that he is. CW was the chance to make him grow and change, but they fumbled soooo many characters in that movie. Thankfully, Steve and Bucky come out pretty unscathed in terms of writing (and we get STEVE WITH A BEARD IN IW AS A RESULT.) So true about Tony’s involvement with Peter. I don’t hate the fact that he’s tied to him in CW, because they need some reason to connect him to the plot for the scenes he’s in… but damn. Homecoming would not let go of Tony, and while I do like this version of Peter being absolutely adorable, him being an Avengers fanboy and Iron Man fan (after being confirmed to be that kid in IM2) it feels like overkill. Like, we get it, he’s a fan. They can still have this dynamic so bad if they want it but it should be kept to crossover movies, not ones where Peter is supposed to be the lead. (Plus, it reminds me of how much I hate Hollywood. RDJ was in the movie for 10 minutes max yet got paid more than Holland for his work on the entire first movie?? Crazy.) And don’t get me started on Starker. Just, gross. Not even like the father/son dynamic being pushed, just the fact that Tony was such a manipulator of Peter’s willingness to help people. Glad we’re on the same page about that. I think mf Mysterio was better for Peter than Tony ever was just saying. So glad that trilogy of movies is over, though and we can move to something else soon.

Puss in Boots: The Last Wish (2022)

Puss in Boots discovers that his passion for adventure has taken its toll when he learns that he has burnt through eight of his nine lives. Puss sets out on an epic journey to find the mythical Last Wish and restore his nine lives.

JayBell: I confess, I haven’t watched any of the other Puss in Boots movies. I’m a fake fan. But I heard so many good things about this movie, and I admit, I’m a sucker for like unique or just cool animation styles.

My favorite character of this movie by far is Perrito. He’s just so cute and sad and tragic. He’s a perfect counterpart to Puss in Boots and Kitty who can be so negative. I think the characters in the story are solid. Although John Mulaney as the villain really traumatized me. Whoever created his character design is a monster.

The wolf villain was cool. I like the way whistling and the heartbeat raised the tension of all of the encounters between Puss in Boots and the wolf. Although I do wish they gave him a bit more of a motivator. Like he is after Puss because he is too nonchalant with the lives that he was given? Or because he was given so many lives in general? It’s just strange that after all this time (8 lives) he decides he has had enough of Puss’s shit.

Lots of humor (love the Puss/Pickles bit), some action, great character arcs, unique animation style, lots of heart--what more could you ask for in a kids movie?

Rating: 6.5/10 cats 🐈

Anzie: I was really excited for this movie bc usually all the Dreamworks/shrek stuff has good humorous nonsense throughout. That being said I figured the 13th Puss in Boots movie would be a good time. And I liked it, but it was ummmm, kinda, absolutely unhinged. But, yeahhh, it was good.

I was sooo excited for John Mulaney to be voicing a character, only to totally dislike his character Jack Horner- but I just think hearing his voice behind an animation is too weird for me. Annnyways I hattttted Goldilocks and the the bears- like pllllsss murder me. Ohhh speaking of murder the whole Death thing with Puss and the Wolf- I get it he’s a cat- nine lives yada yada, but ummm it’s a bit stalkerish of the Wolf the whooole time to then just being completely anticlimactic at the end and kinda giving in???? And the the real scumbag of the movie still is Jack Horner??? IDK!?! ooo and Perito. He’s soooo cute and he’s sooo funny with his little bleeps and his big eyes. The sock story is just a bit too dark. This was supposed to be made for kids right?? Bc I’m on the verge of a crisis with Death chasing Puss in Boots and him having panic attacks and now this little dog is too innocent to know he got ditched in a real bad way?? I can’t. It’s too much. But whatever. What do I know. The end there’s a good message that you’ve got all you need and don’t need a magic shooting star to make your wishes come true blahblah blah. (I think it would be nice tho)

I really enjoyed the change in animation style when there was a fight scene or like a fast motion scene and so it kinda looked like a painting or comic-ish. (But the singing in the first scene takes it down a point-sooorrry.)

*Omigggawd I just wanted to know which # puss in boots this is and it’s the “6th” installment of a shrek franchise but only the 2nd puss in boots movie!! 😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱That doesn’t feel right but whatever. I’m gonna ignore the fact that the first and only movie was 11 years ago before I feel like throwing up.

I thought I hate jotakak before but after reading ur jotakak content I find out that I wasn't hating this ship, but hate how many jotakak fans mischaracterize them. Most of the jotakak content I saw is always a very strong and masculine jotaro protecting a very feminine kakyoin, which is very ooc for both of them. Jotaro is always reduced to a character who only punch people and show his love to kakyoin all the time,no emotion for anything unrelated to kakyoin, while in canon he is someone who kept himself in a prison and stay away from his loved ones(to the point of hurting his loved ones) to protect others. Kakyoin is also reduced to a damsel in distress, always need jotaro to save him and protect him, very sweet that he wouldn't even hurt a fly. Idk why many jotakak fans just want to fit them into a classic romantic relationship( a stoic handsome guy and a sweet housewife) when they are a lot more than that. Sorry for such a long post, I really appreciate how u characterize them :)

but yeah theyre a much more interesting couple when theyre allowed to be, you know, themselves. they both have a lot of issues but the way they could help each other address those issues is very tantalizing and we see bits of it in canon and just <3 hgngh i care about them a lot and they canonically care abt each other a lot just in their weird repressed 80s teenager way

YEAHHH and like... the only person who paints her as sympathetic is herself? she is good with words and uses this to come across as regretful while only saying she's got "some shame" in what she's done. not regret, nor an apology to ghost - just essentially telling them to give up their life to continue this cycle which was built to fail in its conception.

and like.. you don't need AUs for this! she can be mean "in-canon" - she IS mean in-canon if you truly care for her character as much as some of them claim. i do enjoy the role the pale beings play because it makes the vessels' stories feel so much heavier and cathartic by the end where they do finish this but not for the pale beings, but for each other and to have that peace at last. the pale beings Are interesting because of their "bastardly behavior" and taking that away is just a disservice to their characters and also so. pointless, and does make me start to wonder if they actually enjoyed the game and the themes it went for or if they were just looking for some new media to impose the same rehashed tropes you'd see in every fan space, in which they also carry in a lot of other biases which i. won't go into rn lmao. this is a bit more pessimistic on their behavior anyhow, i realize

idk just. big agree. fans if they actually bothered to give characters depth on what traits and actions we're actually shown >

ok here's some totally incoherent thoughts about endgame that i just have to write down or i might explode spoilers: i loved it also actual spoilers spoilers very spoilery spoilers

1. Steve and the goddddamn mjölnir!!!!! FINALLY!!!!!! when thor, iron man and cap were like 'aw yeahhh we're gonna fight thanos' i was like what the heckie is steve even doing there, supersoldier or not he's just a human. then thor drops his hammer and i’m like oh my gods please literally crossing my fingers. then thor’s fight is not going so well and oh no he definitely needs someone to save him! i’m like ohhhhhmygooddss. and THEN IT FINALLY HAPPENS I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS FOR YEARS HELL YEAHHHHH

2. steve & peggy dance. yes. just yes. fucking finally. i love it. it was perfect i cried

3. clint should’ve died. (finally haha) he was my fave since before the avengers and i was so sure he was going to die back then, but then he didn’t and look what’s became of him since.......... i had a violent flashback to watching age of ultron for the first time and for the first time just hoping that my fave character (that would be clint) would just die, bc they’re screwing his character over so badly........ and most definitely it. should. not. have. been. natasha. who. died. that was such a bullshit i mean WHAT THE FUCK???? i mean maybe clint and natasha were the only remaining avengers that actually loved each other (?¿¿????¿¿¿?¿ tho that’s just flimsy, i’m just trying to....idek) and that’s why it had to be them on that stupid fuckin death cliff, but why did natasha have to die?? just because clint had a family (still with no actual characterization, not that i even care, or maybe i would if the movies had given me any reason to...) to return to and she didn’t??that fucking sucks and what sucks even more is that not only was natasha the only character that died (i’m not even counting tony, bc that was very Different) but she’s the only original female avenger AND it’s the same stupd fucking rock that the only original female gotg gamora died in such a bullshit way just last movie??? goddddd i hated that so much like maybe if she hadn’t been the first one to die and all the original avengers would’ve died as was i kinda hoping (tho i love happy endings so i didn’t actually hope that it would happen..), maybe then i would be okay with her being dead. now i am very much not okay, and that means very much not okay in a angry way, not in a sad way

4. speaking of death: to me tony’s was perfect. i might not be the biggest fan of how he always got the most screentime and a bigger role than other characters, but i can’t deny that he definitely is the heart of the whole mcu and it had to be him who saves the day in the end and what else could it have been that a very tony-like self-sacrifice..... god i cried. i loved that he got a funeral (even tho natasha didn’t...) and i loved his funeral with all the people and fricking harley and then the kid saying how much she likes cheeseburgers and the frickin ‘proof that tony stark has a heart’ and sfghkklkghhhh

5. i gasped audibly when i noticed that natasha was wearing the arrow necklace

6. i kinda forgot that vision ever even existed..... in the end i first thought that wanda was talking about pietro and then i was like ok well maybe not maybe she’s talking about tony or something WHICH MAKES NO SENSE LOL i don’t even remember what she actually said, but as was pointed out to me, she was probably talking about vision. who was a thing that existed... whoops

7. ugh i hate brucenat, i really thought we were over that shit already. i also very much disliked that they actually decided to go with professor hulk, but idk w/e i don’t care that much. but natasha’s death sucked tho and the one thing i do not want to see is bruce’s pain or whatever when the movie didn’t even give me the time or reason to actually grieve for her goddd that whole thing was such a bullshit

8. i did not like that thor was treated as a joke most of his screentime........

9. that stevepeggy dance tho. love it. it’ll probably take me at least another seven years to get over it

10. i fricking adored the whole going back in time thing, especially the 2012. the callbacks and the humor really worked for me, the elevator scene straight from cap2 but reversed and hail hydra and steve fighting steve and loki’s expressions when things go wrong and goddhhh i loved it all aaaaaaa, that was the moment when i was like ok i need to see this movie again immediately.... also the fact that their time travel rules were that they were just creating new paths or w/e i guess, and not actually changing what happened to them specifically... good. so many aus

13. i loved that clint had the gauntlet for so long, like he’s definitely the Least Qualified Person to keep it safe, why would that be his job, it was amazing

14. i hated natasha’s death with burning passion, but i loved how she and clint fought each other over who gets to throw themselves off that cliff. tho i really hoped that their ‘yeahh we know what we have to do’ would’ve rather meant that they decided to just throw red skull down bc who even knows if it even actually needs love sacrifice or w/e, a soul is a soul is a soul

15. i loved the human jarvis whatever-his-first-name-was cameo and i really need to finally watch/rewatch agent carter

16. i really liked the tony howard scene even if i thought it felt a bit iffy, bc i feel like there’s so much more to unpack w/ those daddy issues.... but maybe that scene means that there is that one universe where howard was actually a good dad. i want to believe that. yeah. (maybe not but let me dream)

17. i like how they totally forgot that sharon carter ever even existed

22. this movie was SO GOOD when it was good and so mehhh when it was bad, and i’m really glad that it was just good enough that i can forgive overlook all of its flaws. (tho i will not forgive what they did to natasha, even if i can mostly ignore it when thinking about how good most of the rest of the movie was) but idk if it would’ve been perfect, maybe i wouldn’t have survived like there’s this One Huge Thing (natasha) that really brings down the movie that otherwise would’ve been just Amazing

Raw:

Alexa just says, “he could be here,” then starts laughing. She’s like a walking red flag.

Love the difference in ‘play’ and ‘pain’, and I love how she’ll wave with either one depending on her intentions. Interesting to note that she’s left-handed, so every time she uses her right for ‘play’ it is absolutely a conscious decision.

Great editing to have Alexa disappear.

Randy’s got a hard life rn lmao.

Mandy and Dana’s gear looks fantastic.

Wow Lana is hella ballsy coming out there during their tag match.

Mandy Rose trying to use Octopus stretch? What an interesting world we live in.

I understand that Dana and Mandy might want the tag titles, I’m just not sure it’s wise to be fighting your future teammates ahead of SvS :/

Dana and Mandy do good team work, I just wish they’d work on the timing for their synchronized cartwheel + kick combo.

Great video package but I have to highlight the way Sasha just sat there against the ropes staring at Bayley for what, 2 minutes? Before even acknowledging she had won the title. That was fantastic.

What’s funny is I watched their hiac match live cuz I wasn’t sure Sasha would actually win, but I never bothered with this one, because I KNEW Sasha’s curse had been broken. I knew it’d be against Bayley that she’d retain her title for the first time.

Jungkook showing character development, yeahhh. This is still the softest playlist of the lot and personally it's not what I'm into, but compare it to his previous (not bad, but overlong and samey-sounding) one - look at this growth, look at this near-adherence to the form, look at how far he's come! This self-improvement meta-narrative is very JK and I'm into it. Also way to go including your new bros Khalid and Marshmello.

His first mixtape was good but this is BETTER, tighter and more focused while not losing his individuality. I like the inclusion of Kendrick's DNA which is both entirely in keeping with his hiphop tastes but also works like a little inside joke; I'm very into the 2Pac and Eminem, both songs I loved so much when I was younger; and I'm emotional about Dead! Also the inclusion of MCR and Lil Peep make me think that I'm not imagining the emo/post-punk influence on "Sea" and I'm into it. tl;dr I love this mixtape and I love RM.

(If this is a pointer towards what hixxtape will sound like then… I'm ready.)

In conclusion: rap line slays again, with the greatest of ease, and Namjoon is clearly the MVP.

I know it's not a competition but I find it pretty interesting that rap line came up with 3 very good mixtapes, which perfectly adhere to the rules; and vocal line (minus JK) just… did their own post-mixtape thing. By 'post-mixtape' I mean, we're not limited anymore by format and time, or access to material, thanks to digital formats and streaming libraries. Vocal line reflects that freedom, with all the good and bad that comes with it - whereas rap line shows what you can do, how you can be creative within the restriction of the form.
