Hii how about an Ushijima x GN Reader where they're married and then got into a fight which stretches into days of the reader ignoring Ushiwaka and he'll get reminded of what happened with his parents and all that, angst to fluff btw. (You could also changed anything you want in the plot, just please make it an angst to fluff, I can't handle angst endings ;-;) that's all thamk you vmuch!

This fight was not like other fights you had had with Ushijima. You loved your husband and all of his quirks, and yet, when you showed up at home with a duffle bag packed, asking your mom to just stay over for a few days, you had cried for hours, wondering if Ushijima was slowly falling out of love with you. Was he really just too busy? Or was Ushijima Wakatōshi falling out of love with you?

Tournament season was always really difficult for the two of you - you never got to see him as much, but with how busy your own work was getting, the two of you thought maybe it would be okay this time around. Especially after you two had gotten married and moved in together - maybe things would be okay.

As you leaned back in your seat, staring at the wedding ring on your finger, you wondered if it was ever going to be okay again. Or maybe this was just the new normal. You had told your mom you'd just be going out for some fresh air, and yet you didn't feel like you were in a good state to be driving. So here you were, in some random parking lot, staring out the window like all the energy had been drained from your body as you replayed that night over and over again in your head.

You could remember almost every word that was said in that first argument. It hadn't helped that Ushijima was exhausted from training - all he had wanted to do was come home, and flop onto the bed for some much needed sleep. But that's what he wanted to do every night and you were struggling at work and needed any level of comfort. You just wanted him to hug you, to hold you and tell you things were going to be okay.

But when you had tried to tell him you needed him, Ushijima had held up his hand tiredly, barely even looking at you as he commented, "Not tonight, Y/N, I'm tired."

His legs had dragged themselves into your shared room, a dismissive air left behind him. Your brow furrowed as it sank in - why did everyone dismiss you so easily? You told your boss you had needed more time to get the project done, and even though he told you you could take your time, he ended up throwing you under the bus to upper management. Your coworkers all seemed to be taking their sweet time on their own portions, no one was helping, and you wanted to pull your hair out in clumps.

You felt like time was slipping past you too quickly, like your whole days were consumed by work, and yet all you wanted was to be comforted by your partner. A hug that told you that you were doing just enough.

But instead what you got was a husband who clearly wanted sleep. And maybe you should've given it to him. But why did his needs always seem to trump yours? He needed a certain diet so you went out to buy all of his new ingredients, helped make new dishes for him to try. He needed to get up in the mornings and always seemed to do so so loudly, so you had to give up on precious moments of sleep. He had a game this year on your anniversary, so you planned a different date and he just came along for the ride. Now he was too tired, and you just had to sit here and pretend like everything was fine.

Maybe I should have just sat there, maybe I should have pretended things were fine, you thought to yourself as you slunk further into your seat. Maybe we could've talked about it the morning after, maybe I could've just crawled into bed with him and cuddled him then. Maybe then we wouldn't be arguing.

Your phone rang for the 5th time since you had sat yourself here in this parking lot. You knew it was Ushijima, calling again to make sure you were okay, to ask where you were, to nag about your whereabouts. But no, you decided in your petty attitude, this time he could wait for you.

Ushijima and you had been far from the world's most perfect couple. You had known the two of you had vast differences in the ways you loved and the ways you communicated. And yet, there was something so attractive about the way he existed when you first met him. He was honest, determined, and knew exactly what he wanted from life. Sure, he wasn't the most informed when it came to how to talk to parnters or how to communicate his thoughts regarding relationships, but the two of you used to laugh about it, you used to treat every little disagreement as something that you could both work on. So when did it start becoming things that only you were working on? He used to at least spend some time with you - or try to - when things got busy... but this season felt different.

You were not a perfect partner, and you knew that. You kept things buried inside of you, you let things boil up, you didn't communicate, as Ushijima loved to point out to you, but was it so bad to want him to understand that sometimes you wanted him to initiate things? He knew you liked to be hugged some days when it was hard at work, so why had he never come to you and hugged you without you asking? Why hadn't he ever thought about doing anything other than coming home and sleeping?

Your mom's words rang through your mind yet again as you stared off into the clouds - could you be losing the man you once considered your soulmate?

Ushijima's heart fell once more as he heard the beginning of your voicemail once again. Every time he would wait for that little beep letting him know he could leave a voicemail if he wanted, and every time he would hang up right before he had to say anything. Because what was he supposed to say?

He stared at the empty couch in front of him as he stood in the living room, as if you would magically pop out of the cushions to let him know this was all just a trick. A prank. A joke.

That's what this had to be right? It was just a joke right?

Ushijima gripped his phone a bit tighter as he scolded himself internally for thinking that. Sure, maybe after the first night, it could've been a prank. But this was the 3rd night in a row that you had been gone when he came home. He had glanced at your closet, noting that some clothes had disappeared, some of your shoes too.

A pain tugged at his heart as he remembered the yelling match the two of you had gotten yourselves into - he strained his memory, trying to remember just what the climax of it had been. He hadn't hugged you... hadn't consoled you, even when you were crying while the two of you were arguing, this time he hadn't reached out to you to hold your hand, wipe away your tears.

This time he had been so tired from training, he just stood there, staring at you with that blank face he always reverted to. You told him he was always too busy to think of you, and he had told you he was trying to be the best. Because the best is what makes him worthy, the best is what keeps money coming in. He was doing this for himself, sure, but he was doing it for you too - he wanted you to be happy in your future. And yet, you seemed so unhappy with him now.

Ushijima took his phone back out, fingers typing out another text to send your way:

Please Y/N, please just let me know you're okay. We can talk this out. Please come home.

Ushijima stared at the text as it joined the many others he had sent you. Three days and he hadn't heard so much of a peep from you. He had Tendō check in on you sometime yesterday, just to make sure you were alive and not murdered somewhere. You had told Tendō you were alive, but refused to say anything more than that.

"Must be some big argument, huh?" Tendō had hummed when he called Ushijima to update him. "They seemed... empty." And that had made Ushijima feel even worse.

He waited a few minutes, watching eagerly as if waiting for you to respond but no response ever came. Why wouldn't you just talk to him? Why did you always have to hide everything inside? How was he supposed to make things better if you didn't say anything? How was he supposed to know you were upset with just your tone of voice?

The volleyball player winced a bit as he thought back to how hurt you had sounded when you first begged him to just hold you. Why hadn't he just reached out and hugged you? Had he been so exhausted he couldn't just hear about your day?

As if on cue, Ushijima felt another pang in his chest as he thought back to how similar the argument you two had sounded to the ones his parents used to have. Yelling and crying, both of them always sounding angry and hurt.

He had sworn off relationships at first, reminding himself that volleyball was all that really mattered. He wanted to be the best, wanted to reach the pinnacle of volleyball and he didn't need a relationship to get there. He didn't want to get hurt - he had watched his parents both cry quietly in different rooms, watched as one parent would always ignore the other and disappear, until one day his dad was packing his bags and leaving.

Is that what you had done? Ushijima's eyes whirled around the apartment, looking for any sign that you would be coming back. Your clothes weren't all gone so you had to come back right? Your favourite foods were still in the pantry, the accessories you had received from friends were still on the bedside table so... you had to come back right?

Volleyball had been all that mattered to him... until he met you. Ushijima met you and suddenly it didn't matter if he could get hurt - he wanted to be with you. Every moment of free time he had, he wanted to be with you. When did that stop? Ushijima stretched his mind, trying to think of why he hadn't hugged you, why didn't he just console you, comfort you, after what was obviously a long day for you too? He had promised before that he would get better at reading your body languages, keep you in mind even during his busy days... hell he even promised you that he would actually start planning dates together... and yet the last time the two of you had actually done something together was maybe 4 months ago.

Ushijima bit his inner cheek, staring at his phone again - letting you go wasn't an option. If you were going to leave, he wouldn't let you go without showing you he wanted you there. If you wanted to leave, he would make damn sure it wasn't because you thought he didn't want you anymore.

Your phone rang again, but this time, when the vibrations stopped, you received a notification that a voicemail had been left. After all this time, you had wondered why he never just said something after the call. You finally picked up your phone, listening to the voice message he left you:

"Y/N?... I'm not... not good at these things. But I know that's the problem isn't it? I've promised you so many times before that I'd get better at this stuff... and instead of hearing how hurt you were, all I could think about was how tired I was. I'm sorry, Y/N... I'm sorry for all of it. But please, please don't just get up and leave. None of this matters if you aren't around for me to share it with - volleyball, the tournaments, the sponsors, none of it would be here without you always supporting me so please, please just pick up. Or just come home. You don't have to stay if you don't want to... but please come back just to talk... I don't... I don't want what happened to my parents to happen to us. I won't let our differences separate us because everything that you are is everything I love. I fucked up - I can't promise I'll be perfect but if you're willing to just give me one more shot, and I know you've given me countless times to fix my shit, but if you give me one more chance, I promise I'll work harder. I'll do better."

You could hear the hurt in his voice and it took all your willpower not to crumble and hang up right there, call him back and cry. You hated hearing that sound in his voice - knowing he was probably tearing up, knowing he was probably sulking around the apartment. But... why should you run to him when he still hasn't solved anything? What was he saying now that was any different than what he usually said?

"I called my trainer... he agrees that I should be able to have a few rest days. So for the foreseeable future, I'll be taking Thursdays off, or at least I'll be coming home earlier every day if I need to be there for Thursdays. I know one day isn't a lot, and I know it's not much until I can actually act on it, but if you're okay with it, I'd like to spend some of those days off with you... I want to be someone you want to be with for the rest of your life, Y/N... I know I haven't been that in a long time. But if you let me, I want to make up for everything I've messed up on... There's food here waiting for you... I ordered your favourite. I don't even know if you've eaten yet or if you want to see me... but it's here for you if you want it. I'm sorry... and I love you, Y/N, I know I don't always act like it, but I do."

You didn't realize until the message ended that you were crying. Tears were streaming down your face as you tried to weigh the options laid out in front of you. Maybe it was just you being hopeful, but you could've sworn that the man you had fallen in love with, there was just a glimmer of him in that message.

You listened to it over and over again, letting yourself cry and sob into tissues you had stashed away in your car. Why couldn't he have said all of this before? Why couldn't you have just let him sleep? Why did everything have to blow up so fast?

Maybe it was time to try and fix things, you decided after you turned off your phone. You swallowed hard as you turned your car on, desperately wanting for all these awful feelings to go away. If Ushijima was genuine in person, maybe... just maybe the two of you could work things through.

Ushijima had jumped at the sound of someone opening the front door, eyes glistening with tears he had refused to let fall as you came in. The two of you shared a glance, your face showing the awkwardness you felt as you entered the once tense environment.

"Hi," was all you said, your eyes flickering over your favourite food spread out over the dining table.

"Go ahead," Ushijima nodded quickly, rushing to your side to get you a plate and put your favourites on it. He picked the biggest pieces of each dish, setting the plate down at your usual spot and gesturing to you to feel free to dig in.

But you just stared at him, the hurt in your eyes not disappearing even though Ushijima wished it would. You shifted on your feet, wishing you could pretend like nothing had happened, that there wasn't this uncomfortable feeling sitting in your stomach, that Ushijima was just doing a nice thing for you because he was a good husband and not because he was trying to apologize.

"Ushi-" you started uncomfortably, playing with your fingers in front of you.

"No, me first," he interrupted quickly, swallowing hard. Your eyes gazed over him, noting that the normally put together volleyball player suddenly seemed so small, his hair unkept like he had been running his hands through it over and over again, still wearing the shirt he had probably woken up in. "I sorely messed up, Y/N... I'm sorry for getting upset with you when you were just asking for comfort. You've told me countless times before that you appreciate talking when I come home, a hug... some time alone... and I always seem to forget that. But I promise if you come back home, I'll be better. I was thinking we could get tickets to that movie you wanted to see, or... maybe take a trip somewhere," he continued desperately. Ushijima's hand shot out and grabbed yours gently, clasping his own hands around yours. "I'm sorry, Y/N... I'm so sorry. But please... I don't want to go about my life without you around. I don't want to be one of those kids of divorce that are never happy with their own marriages so I promise... I promise I'll work on it."

You hesitated, watching the desperation in his eyes. Funny how Ushijima always seemed to talk more when you were upset, you thought to yourself, chewing on your inner cheek. "Let me eat something and then you can continue apologizing," you teased gently, attempting to lift some of the tension.

Ushijima's eyes lightened slightly as he nodded quickly and pulled out your chair for you. You smiled to yourself, wondering if maybe there was hope for you two after all.

"I'm serious about Thursdays," he told you as you started to eat. The moment the food had touched your lips, you realized just how hungry you were, stuffing your face quickly with the dishes. "We could have a standing date... watch movies or maybe go out to dinner. Try to cook something together maybe?"

You let out a choked laugh, shaking your head, "Ushi, last time we tried to cook together, we almost set the apartment on fire."

"I'll just hand you the stuff you need, I won't touch, promise," Ushijima insisted, but you could see the little smile at the corner of his lips.

You sighed after you after a few bites, looking up at him as if calculating just how ready you were to fix things, "I need to know that we're both giving and compromising equally... I feel like I'm always doing what you need me to do..."

Ushijima nodded, mulling over this for a moment, "You have done a lot for me, and I'm very grateful for it. But you're right, I need to do more."

You gave a small smile, playing with your food for a moment, "I'm sorry I didn't just tell you what was wrong... I know I blew up. In my head, I had been thinking about everything for so long, but I know that to you, it wouldn't make sense why I got angry so fast. I know a hug really isn't that big of a deal but-"

Ushijima shook his head, taking your hand and pressing a kiss to your fingers, "If it matters to you, it's a big deal. You deserve to be comforted, to find solace in our relationship...If you'll give me a warning when you're upset, I'll do my best to hug your emotions away." You nodded and Ushijima seemed to hesitate for a moment, "Can I hug you now?" He asked quietly and you let out a little laugh because Ushijima rarely asked if he could hug you, normally you would just find yourself wrapped in a bear hug.

You nodded and Ushijima wasted no time, pulling you away from your seat and tugging you into a tight hug - it had been a long 3 days after all. He pulled away for a moment, cupping your face in his hands as he just looked at you, silently promising to himself that he would do everything in his power to never be without you again.

Maybe some couples just weren't meant to be together, maybe it had been for the best that his parents had split up. But you and him? You two were a couple destined to be together, it was fate, and there was no way he would be letting any of his dumb mistakes every mess that up again.

You silently thanked any and all of the gods that had led you to this man - arguments or not, you did love him and it was nice to be reminded that he loved you too. And Ushijima worked on it - continuing to remind you over and over again as the evening passed, even as the week ahead went by. So sure, you guys weren't a perfect couple - but sometimes, when Ushijima just held you, pressed that kiss to your lips, made your heart skip beats... sometimes it felt like you guys were as close to perfection as mere mortals could get.

Alright, The title is long, but meh I wanted to keep this short and sweet lol I'm gonna start this off with just the main bois and MY BEST BOI. If yall want a part 2(It’s up now), please let me know because this was fun as hell, lmao. These dudes are aged up (18+); this isn’t even that vulgar, but I wanted to give a heads up.

Hella good friends with the clerk, you always get discounts on pillows, bedsheets, and plastic covers anything from that department store, honestly.

They love when y'all come because you usually spend BANK just off the fact that your home is your safe haven, and you build it up to be the coziest place on earth.

He's not the same shy, overreacting teen you met back at U.A.

He's way more relaxed but not always collected. He's stammering over his words since the bed breaking was totally his fault.

Sometimes you do the talking because you can't afford to get embarrassed every time you come. You're more covert and just wanna get back home before too many fans see you two together and bombard you with autographs and selfies in your hero poses, lol.

The clerk insists that there's no need to explain further, and yet, he says

"She told me not to hold back. She knows I'm committed; she knows I like a challenge!"

Silence

Your face is on fire from the embarrassment. You want to explode.

The clerk gives you an apologetic look, and during checkout, they throw in complimentary fabric refreshing spray and candles.

Deku pays for it, hella red in the face.”I said too much, didn’t I?”

“Gee babe, what do you think?”

You're mad at Baku the whole car ride there, and he just keeps huffing.

"Can't believe we actually have to come back… It's only been 2 fucking weeks, UGH."

You get there and call over a clerk, and they recognize you as heroes. They're overly excited to see you since they are a fan of you and Baku.

You explain that you need a new bed frame since the last one broke due to "unforeseen circumstances."

Baku immediately rolls his eyes, fed up with your storytelling.

He knows you're quick to throw him under the bus, so he just listens to what you tell them.

The store clerk is eager to help and finds one quickly but can't find the price tag for it, so tries looking through their database.

A couple fans notice you and wave “Hi” just to not impose on your free time.

You're getting kind of antsy because the store is oddly crowded, and you don't want too many people in your business about what you're purchasing.

Granted, it’s a fucking bed frame, but you’re self-conscious nonetheless.

Finding the price, the clerk shares it, and Baku goes ballistic.

"REALLY (Y/N), YOU ASK ME TO BLOW YOUR BACK OUT, AND THIS IS MY PUNISHMENT?"

The bed frame is set to be high quality with a beautiful brass finesse set for royalty, and yet the price is astronomical.

The clerk is SHOCKED, to say the least, but feels a little bad, so they give you a lifetime discount on bed frames for your love thumping.

Granted, the clerk there is always smiling and respectful, but a part of you is still hella embarrassed every time you go.

You guys are pro heroes, so it makes things even worse -in your head, at least-

You guys switch who'll talk from time to time. He knows how to talk to people better but still finds it draining; because he loves to be in solitude with you.

He speaks to the clerk, reassuring that any bed will suffice as long as it doesn't do this.

Shows literal pictures of the damage, and your bedroom looks like the LoV made a 5-minute renovation. The clerk is entirely shocked, trying hard not to show it, but it’s effortless to read.

"She told me to give her everything I got, and so, I did."

This man is laughing the whole way there even as you try to explain why you need a new one.

The clerk is just there, nodding into oblivion as you over-explain and get more flustered with each synonym you use for the word break.

Mirio is hunched over at the toiletry aisle, losing breath by the second, there's been a lot of hilarious moments since you've become an item, but this takes the cake.

The clerk understands and makes haste with a new frame that's not even on the shelves and probably a new set unreleased to the public eye.

Mirio pays for it now without hesitation, and before you could thank the clerk for the accommodation, Mirio says, "I hope this bed is worth it."

"Because the last bed just didn't have enough power to do it." And with that, he winks and grabs the bed frame to pack it up in the car.

Laughing all the way out the store, “Come on, babe, don’t drag your feet we gotta try out the new set! I’m looking to break a record!”

K. The reason there’s so many threads exposing Jimin in the first place is because there’s always so much new material that arises. No other member has as much shit working against them. He constantly sets himself up because he’s simply not the angel you idiots paint him out to be. He truly is the weakest link of the group.

People try and bring up Jungkook’s scandals but at least the guy can actually sing. Sure he could do with sharing some of the spotlight in their songs but I’m pretty sure that 100% comes down to hybe calling the shots. How else do you explain Hoseok who can rap, sing, and dance constantly being sidelined in most of their group songs.

People try and bring up Yoongi and JJ but the sooner you all realize sampling =/= co-signing, the better off you’ll be. He wasn’t the first to sample someone controversial and he won’t be the last. Hybe could’ve explained it but instead chose to throw him under the bus by issuing a dumb apology with zero context. BTS would also be nothing without him.

People try and bring up Taehyung being cold but dude is as straightforward as can be. He’s not here for the shits. Him and Jin are probably the two that fuck with the company the most and do what they want. What’s there to be mad at? He isn’t a puppet so deal with it. Taehyung and Yoongi are also the two whose on screen and offscreen personalities are likely 1:1. What you see is what you get.

People try and bring up the racist/colorist things Namjoon has said but I promise you’ll never catch him slipping again. Who knows if he’s actually a changed man but that whole nature/art persona has done wonders for him. Along with Yoongi and Hoseok, he’s quite literally the backbone of BTS. Without these 3 the rest of the group would’ve never see the light of day.

Edit: Apparently Jin isn’t angelic because he’s said some things (what things? idk). Also Jin’s condom debacle? He’s a grown man and those were basically pre-debut days so that shouldn’t even be classified as a scandal to begin with. If you really think BTS have never been in any sort of romantic relationships 8+ into their career well then keep living in lala land. Jin also minds his business and stays to himself. Unlike some others.

Finally, as for Hoseok and Seokjin? These two are squeaky fucking clean. They’re the definition of class. Not only are they the two whose behaviors/attitudes/personalities get praised the most by people that have worked with BTS, they also never say any unnecessarily rude or harsh things to the other members. Even when a members says something uncalled for, they brush it off with a laugh. If BTS were children, Hoseok and Seokjin would be the most angelic and well-behaved ones. Hoseok is also the member that donates the most to charity and is known to support tons of great causes via the clothes he wears and figurines he collects.

If there’s any member that’s gotten the short of the stick in all this, it’s Hoseok. Some of the things the members have said/done to him could be classified as grade-A bullying. I’m not painting him as a victim. He isn’t. Without Hoseok BTS would be nothing. He’s the one that works nonstop behind the scenes to make sure their choreography and performances are as “Grammy-Worthy” as can be. And yet he’s also the member that constantly gets the least lines and screen time. Not to mention he’s also the member who ARMYS did NOTHING to protect when he was receiving all that hate from antis years back.

I find it ironic how when any other member gets hate some of you are mute. And yet when Jimin is on the recieving end we’re suddenly going to war. Lol well fuck you. I could dedicate a whole blog to Jimin’s shitty live vocals, bitchy behavior, unnecessary queerbaiting, violence towards the members, offensive remarks, etc. Not to mention the fact he’s contributed the least to BTS’s discography. I’m not saying all musicians should write their own songs, many don’t. But if you’re going to sit there and be useless, the least you could do is be a genuinely good human being. Unfortunately for you fans, calling him a “sweetheart” doesn’t alter the mile long list of evidence that proves otherwise. If he can’t take the hate, then he himself should stop dishing it out.

I never would’ve made any of the posts I’ve published in the past 48 hours had you idiots not come into my inbox harassing me for my moreso tepid opinions via a random Twitter screenshot. Blame yourselves for all the excessive hate Jimin gets. He alone does a wonderful job at setting himself up, but his fans are truly the icing on the cake.

This case of the week wasnt really that intersting to me, i was much more interested in the teams personal lives.

The chief and fd cowing down to pd and dixon when their own firefighters were almost shot to death saving two kidnapped girls is complete bull. ok i guess we’re doing actor drama today! full disclosure, when i came back to spin i wanted to focus less on the actors bc i’m a grownup now and despite being very in love with jared padalecki as a teenager i was like i will keep only a healthy distant respect and fondness for them, BUT after seeing my boy jared be so unfairly and constantly hated on in 2021 spn hell, i can’t help but be in his corner bc it’s so ridiculous and also maybe i’m in a parasocial relationship with him but it’s fine i’m allowed to have one!! but mainly, the way his every single move is scrutinized and interpreted in the most laughably dramatically bad ways is just not sitting right with me bc i just don’t think he’s a bad dude? lol

like back in my day, there was enough jared hate going around even back then, and there was a vibe among them that jared simply wouldn’t have a career post-supernatural because he was only being buoyed by the superior talent and higher popularity (in their minds) of jensen and/or misha and whomever, and wouldn’t succeed independently, so i think that narrative falling apart given that walker is quite successful hasn’t been easy for them to digest lol? i saw people legitimately thinking that his career was in trouble and i’m like babe, love him or hate him or don’t care for him, oppose or support his new show, he’s the #1 actor on the #1 show on his network currently, he’s not hurting at all at the moment lol.

but yeah, he seems to be thriving all around and good for him, honestly lmao

and then the supernatural finale and jared’s comments on it (since nobody wanted to acknowledge jensen’s comments on it, which were also positive) really i think broke their minds lol. first of all, the finale being so deliciously sam-centric and reaffirming sam as THE main character was never gonna be something they would let slide (but GOD the vindication as a long-suffering sam stan!!! i’m still glowing about it!!!!), not with how much this fandom has hated and diminished and sidelined sam, and jared has always been a good scapegoat for their weird conspiracies, since they seem to think he’s the only actor not mistreated by the show or network

and then jared talking about it... like, he just became a full villain for them at that point lmao, under the guise of “he doesn’t care that dean’s death was traumatic blah blah” (girl how is he supposed to know yall are doing this much over a fictional character) and “he contributes to the erasure of a Deaf character blah blah” for saying that sam shouldn’t have ended up with eileen (a super correct opinion, but that’s a whole separate post lol). so it’s all couched in spurious nonsense that has a cloak of false legitimacy, but i really wish they’d just admit it was about their wretched ship lol. it was always gonna be jared who was gonna be the scapegoat, and idk if this is controversial, but jared being much more widely hated than other cast members is linked to the spn fandom’s longtime marginalization of sam, b/c he, as sam’s actor specifically, was already someone they saw as unimportant and expendable to the show and their enjoyment of it, and many only pretended to care about him/his character so that they wouldn’t be the “bad guys” and would be able to declare themselves the arbiters of all things supernatural since they do care about sam and jared actually even though they diminished him constantly if not outright hated on them both!! so if the opportunity presented itself, they’d be much more willing to throw him under the bus than the other two

The Dilemma of the Christian Girl in the Dating World

Whew Chile……here we go again. Back to square one. Single. Within this season of singleness, I’ve had a lot of time to reflect back on my past relationships. Now I know what you’re already thinking , “She’s about to throw some man under the bus, huh?” And the short answer is no. Instead, I’m going to share with you all where I’ve fallen short in hopes that it gives you some support and wisdom on what NOT to do when you are out there in the dating world.

As a young Christian woman who is navigating both the life of spirituality and the world I’ve found myself at a crossroad multiple times. Full disclaimer, I love going outsideeeeeeee (slang for having a good time, i.e. parties, night-life, etc.) And let’s be real you enjoy outside too! Christians shame you for being outside (we’ll talk about that some other time) and preach to you the negative implications that come with that. But to be real, attending social gatherings with my friends have kept me sane. During graduate school (The MOST stressful time in my life to say the least) I would make sure to take breaks and have fun. Checking out of my studies once in awhile kept me going. But anyway, I say all that to say that the dating scene was even more difficult when in both of these environments.

How the heck am I supposed to find a God fearing man that also likes having fun? Church folk would say, “well make sure he goes to church and loves the Lord”. But in my head I’m saying “Well there are men in church that ain’t shit (excuse my language), mistreating and cheating on their wives, yet playing pretend in front of everybody else”. Other people would say, “Well going to church isn’t everything, there are more people who are outside of church that do more good in the world than people inside the church”. And although that may be true, I don’t quite side with that either. If the church community isn’t a part of your identity than what good is it to raise children with one parent inside the church and one parent outside the church? (Being equally yoked isn’t a part of this blog either lol but we’ll talk about that some other time - I promise).

“Well you can surely teach him and bring him to the Lord” some may say. “Oh Sabrina, you’re thinking too far ahead, it’s not that deep just see where it goes”, others may say.

But I ask you reader, where do you think that leads other than the path to confusion? And boom – that’s exactly where it would lead me when dating - confusion. Now let me make myself crystal clear by saying that I wasn’t dating atheists. As a matter of fact, I’ve dated Christian men who just happened to have roots in the church but somehow have left their traditional religious practices. Many (except for one) of my boyfriends would practice their beliefs in their own ways (IF THAT - because some of them didn’t even pray regularly but that’s not the point of this blog). I kid you not, although I realized the differences in my dating relationships and felt like we weren’t on the same page , half way into our relationship, I would stay and try to make it work. Why? Because there was always a huge part of me that didn’t want to let go of the potential husband that they could’ve become. Now I already know what you’re thinking, “Sabrina are you crazy?” YES HEFFA! I AM! Who doesn’t want a financially stable, educated, well groomed, polite, (list goes on) MAN?! Oh I’ll wait!.....And somehow I was good at choosing great men YET they allllll (except for one lol because I don’t know if he’s going to read this) did not honor Christianity in the way that I did. But did that make them bad men? Hmm... truth is , I don’t know.

So here we are once again, in the season of singleness. And as I stated previously, I’ve had the opportunity to really reflect on my past relationships and have taken away a few key points that I hope will serve you in your journey:

Number one – Take everything a step at a time. Be where your feet are. ENJOY every second and every moment of getting to know someone. Move at your own pace, do not listen to others in what they believe you should be doing. Honor your own time clock and just be! By doing so, you’ll give yourself the opportunity to see what needs to be seen. Whether it be positive or negative. If I took everything a step at a time I probably wouldn’t have sabotaged many great moments that I could’ve had in my past relationships.

Number Two – Do not be afraid to invest your time in what interests you. If you find that this someone makes you happy and gives you this sense of peace KEEP GOING! Don’t think you need to withhold how you truly feel. Honor your feelings. Even if your feelings go against what you’ve been told. It’s okay to re-learn or to explore new things! Yes I said it! The Christian girl! Explore yall!!!! Curiosity isn’t the root of evil. It’s okay to try new things. Now if you are HESITANT to try than maybe something greater in you ( I call that the Holy Spirit) is trying to tell you something). At that point relax yaself and don’t do it lol. But don’t hold yourself back.

Number Three – Final point because now I’m talking too much lol. If someone (or even something) doesn’t serve you anymore, it’s okay to walk away. Don’t be like me and try to hold everything together in hopes that you won’t let the person down. Nine times out of ten, they’ll realize that your feelings are no longer the same. They’ll notice a change. Whether they honor your thoughts and feelings towards them or not is NOT your issue to fix. As my sisters say, “Do you”! Potential and reality are two different things!

Singleness is hard. Especially when you’re someone like me who truly yearns to be in love and to grow in love. But singleness gets easier when you transfer those thoughts towards someone else to you. Grow in love with YOU! Take yourself on a date, start your own blog, go on your own baecation, do all that couple stuff – those sip and paints, and dance classes, on your own! Experience you for yourself and trust me, not only will you learn to love yourself but you’ll attract others to that love.

It's been a long time coming but I can say proudly, here in my backyard, with my water and lemon, all alone, that I’ve mastered that self love and I am so proud of me. Life’s journey isn’t always easy. We’ll forever go through things in life. But when you honor yourself and who you are, it makes the journey a little bit easier.

•Tonight the boys were so super excited

•The boys had went out to another arcade and guess who lost

•The boys had decided to go out to a korean barbeque place for dinner because why not

•He whispered softly again running this fingers gently through your hair

•This time you shook your head

•Felix understood what you met and didn’t bother to press further, instead he chose to comfort you instead by either running this hands thru your hair or by comfortingly running his hand up and down your back

•At one point you realized the situation you both were in and the same fuzzy feeling came back

•Like you had literally met him not even a day ago and he was already making your heart flutter

•Once the movie ended Felix nudged you lightly allowing you to detach yourself from him

•”You alright?”

He has a terrible social game, and if he keeps bringing up how he has no friends I'll fucking kick his ass. I tried being friendly with him, and then he told me I couldn't follow his Instagram because it's "not gonna happen" and then shoved it down my throat that Brian and him flirted and I'm like OK BITCH WANNA PLAY THAT GAME. YOURE GOING DOWN. No one gets between me and my (ex) man. Especially not some crackhead flop. And I had to fucking watch what I said because Shae is gonna use everything he can to stay. We'll surprise bitch, I'm the queen of this series and the queen stays the queen so sit the fuck down. Jordan was/is still public enemy number one. But Karen fucking leaked the plan to throw the challenge to him so!!! Good job ya flop! Why do people think that working with Jordan will work? It never does. It just makes you a target. Ash? Ash will be gone so soon because she didn't wanna play with gage and chose Jordan over him. Allison is just a target in her own, but being associated with Jordan doesn't help. And now Karen wants to keep him around longer than Carson and Andrew????? BYE YALL ARE SO DUMB. HES ONE AND THEYRE TWO. Get it together people!! If you align with Jordan Pines, you're asking to lose. That's all I'm gonna say.

Okay right. Here's a big boy confessional and my stance on the game. Right now, I believe it's very up in the air. I think anyone and any side can take this, because sides have not yet been determined. No one really knows who's working with who, we have an idea, but no one is certain. For right now I know Billy HATES shea. Like a lot. Which isn't good bc I want to work with shea. Isaac finds the duo of Carson/Andrew threatening, which makes sense, but I just don't want Carson to be the victim of Andrew's target. My biggest threat right now is Allison. She's the only one I played closely with in Hawaii, she knows my game inside and out, and she knows exactly how dangerous I can be. On the flip side, she got just as far as I did in Hawaii, and then came back and WON Malibu. I'm not the biggest threat here when there are people like Andrew and Allison, who've gone far every time. Right now I'd say the main group of people Intrust are Billy, Karen, Isaac, and Sara. Ideally, I'd like to get to the end with Billy, because he's not a talker, and I've been to my fair share of Tribal Councils, and I know my flaws and faults. I'm going to be ruthless, and I'm going to make calculated game moves. I don't want to let my emotions get the best of me. and I don't want to hastily target people bc they furthered their games by taking out Gage. So I'm going to talk to Andrew and Allison and Shea, and I'm going to get on their good side, and I'm going to try my best to make them see I'm not this monster they're thinking I am. Well I mean, I am. But, I don't want them to know that lol.

I'd like to brush off my shoulders, because I 100% could have won this immunity if I wanted to. Which would have meant another round of safety for me. HOWEVER I haven't been involved in any tribal councils so far. And being out of the loop is not fun and I honestly can't take it anymore. This feeling of being left out was making me super uncomfortable, and other things surrounding my place in this game were just signs that told me I should go to tribal tonight. It should be a safe vote, Carson asked to be voted out. And if anyone doesn't do that they're just gonna isolate themselves. Plus I dyed my roots and self tanned this week and I'll be damned if I don't get a google hangout to show everyone how island hot I got. Ricky fluxes between being my closest ally and being someone who I don't see this working with. He keeps telling me not to do this not to do that, but the things I can't do are things that only benefit him, and not things that benefit us both. He told me that if I won immunity Sara or him would go home. I don't think he understands that he isn't on anyone's radar and that this isn't Hawaii. We're playing a whole new game and things have to change. I'm not here to play for Ricky, I'm here to play for me. I told him how he'll have to swallow his pride and work with Andrew and he's like "don't say my name to anyone" LIKE BITCH IM TAKING THAT NO EXISTENT TARGET EVEN MORE OFF YOUR BACK. Then he tells me that we can't really group call together because it'll make it obvious that we're working together and I'm sitting here like *Ariana Grande no correlation graph.jpg* because EVERYONE knows that Ricky and I are close outside of this game, and if they think he's not working with me in some kinda way they're wrong. But I just have a REALLY bad feeling in the pit of my makeup bag that Ricky is gonna fuck me over this game. I can tell. I just sense it. If he doesn't, and I'm reading too much into it then oh well, but the way he has this attitude when we talk makes me SUPER nervous about moving forward with him. It's almost like he finds me as a liability to his game, and honestly? I've taken the target off of his back whether he wants to believe it or not. Because he could have left and I convinced everyone in the early stages of the game that he is not Hawaii Ricky without his friends. And now that Kait, Christine and Gage are gone, he doesn't have the same cutthroat people as he did before. Sara and I still have it good. And the best part about all of this? Andrew. Andrew's partner is leaving the game, Andrew is no longer emotionally invested. He knows Ricky, Karen and Isaac want him out and so he wants to work with me and Sara. But, and I'm pretty sure I'm the only one who knows, but Andrew has the idol. And he said he'd use it to keep any of us safe. I'm not gonna rely on that obviously, and I'm not gonna tell Sara that way she doesn't rely on it either. But it definitely helps that Andrew's friends blatantly threw him under the bus and my "let's stay friends because we are friends" strategy is working. I love Andrew in and out of this game. It makes me so angry to see that he's a target because he has a good social game and always makes the end. Well? If I have anything to say about it Andrew will be making finale again, and it'll be with me and Sara. I've found my final 3. But I've just gotta be careful about who I target in what order. But Jordan and Shae are still my biggest threats. Then it's Karen/Ricky/Isaac. If we can split up Allison/Jordan, Allison will be with me 100%. She won't go to the other three because there's no point to. And then Ash is just kinda here. And while I want Ash to do well, I don't want someone who's playing the game for someone else to stick around. But if Ash wants to work with me moving forward, I'll do what I can to ensure Ash does well.
