Pairing: Jooyeon x fem reader

Note: First Jooyeon drabble! I loved his long hair during Hair Cut era aaaaa it was so pretty

Your boyfriend, Jooyeon, dropped down onto the couch in the practice room with a melodramatic sigh, his head falling into your lap. You let out a snort in response to his theatrics, staring down at him with a fond smile.

"My fingers feel like they're about to fall off." He whined.

"You're weak." Jiseok teased from across the room. "I could play for hours."

"So, you want practice to go over?" Gunil asked, making Jiseok's eyes go wide, his head shaking vehemently.

A chorus of chuckles filled the room in response to his reaction.

"I'm serious. We can stay later if you want." The eldest continued to tease.

Again, Jiseok shook his head.

"Y/n, can you play with my hair?" Jooyeon asked cutely, staring up at you with round eyes.

There was no way you could deny him, firstly because you loved playing with his hair, especially since it had gotten so long, secondly because you couldn't say no to his pleading eyes.

Your fingers threaded themselves through his long tresses, the vibrant magenta that colored the ends for Overload had faded, but that didn't take away from the beauty that was Jooyeon's magnificent mane. You thought he would cut it after Hello World, but he continued growing it and has kept that up for much longer than you would have assumed. In all honesty, you hope he keeps this long hair. It suits him well and you enjoy running your fingers through it.

You absentmindedly twirled a strand around your index finger, letting it fall and slowly undo itself. Jooyeon's eyes closed as you combed through his hair, a blissful sigh escaping his slightly parted lips. Changing tactics, you went from carding your fingers through his hair to braiding a strand of it, listening to the other members talk amongst themselves.

"I was thinking in this next run through of the song, Jungsu could-"

The entire band groaned, cutting off Gunil's sentence before he could even get to the point of it.

"C'mon, Gunil, we're supposed to be taking a break." Seungmin complained.

Hyeongjun nodded in agreement.

The leader pouted, slumping slightly in his seat before heading a sigh. "You're right."

"Y/n?" Jooyeon called softly, his eyes open and staring up at you.

"Mhm?"

"Can I have a kiss?"

Your eyes went wide at his request.

"In front of them?" You whispered.

"They won't notice."

Flicking your eyes up to the group sitting about the large practice room, you checked to make sure they were all engaged in their own conversations before looking back down at Jooyeon who had an expectant look on his face.

You licked your lips, taking another glance up at the other members before leaning down to kiss your awaiting boyfriend. He hummed immediately upon contact and you could feel him smiling slightly against your lips.

When you tried to pull away, he brought his hand up to the back of your head and halted your actions, pulling you back down to his lips. You had to suppress the small squeak that nearly left you in response to Jooyeon's bold action. He pressed his lips more firmly against yours and began to kiss with more fervor, carding his fingers through your hair.

As much as you would've liked to keep kissing him, you didn't want to draw attention to yourselves, so you pulled away.

"Jooyeon." You scolded in a whisper.

He laughed in that little cackle of his, not ashamed of what he had done at all.

"I'm still not sure if I like seeing those two being all mushy." Seungmin cringed.

"I've learned to ignore it." Hyeongjun murmured, tuning his guitar.

"I think they're cute." Jungsu admitted.

"Not when they're sucking face." Jiseok's expression twisted in distaste.

Your cheeks were set aflame at his words, which made you look down at Jooyeon who had a smugly satisfied smile on his face.

"You said they wouldn't notice."

He gave a shrug. "I lied."

Gunil

Gunil would be so concerned about his partner not eating enough, no matter how much the partner actually eats, he would take any opportunity he has to feed them. If they’re at a restaurant, Gunil will put food on his fork and reach over to his partner saying “Here love, try this” with the sweetest smile so his partner can’t turn him down. He would also at times show up with food or snacks to give his partner. When his partner asked him about he just said, “I just love you so I give you food,”

Jungsu

Jungsu knows how much his partner loves his voice so this man would break out into song at the most random times to serenade his partner. It could be two minutes after waking up, as they are brushing their teeth, when they’re out on a walk, just as they’ve laid down in bed, in the car, or over the phone, the man would even try doing it over text. He just wants to make his partner happy and why not do it through his breathtaking vocals?

O.de/Seungmin

He would be so in love with his partner that he ends up being starstruck every time they do something together because he still can’t believe that they’re a couple. Because of this, Seungmin would end up letting out a happy yelp after every little kiss, while having the biggest dorkiest smile. As soon as he sees his partner approaching he would let out a happy yelp before running, and I mean running, to hug them. However, as soon as the hug or the kiss is over, he is back to trying to act cool both for his partner but also for the people around him. This adorable dork is just soooo in love with his partner.

Gaon/Jiseok

Jiseok’s main priority is always making sure his partner is happy, not just happy, but laughing like a maniac until they can barely breathe. So, this little clown will be ready to run around, scream, make jokes, and make a fool out of himself, at any point of the day if he so much as imagines a frown on his partner’s face. If his partner isn’t dying of laughter and complaining about their cheeks hurting from all the smiling, Jiseok hasn’t done a good job in his opinion. So for the sake of this man’s dignity, I hope his partner is smiling 24/7 and that it’s a real smile.

Jun Han/Hyeong-jun

Hyeong-jun is the type that shows his love through small and often quiet actions. He’s like a mind-reader, he just knows exactly what his partner needs without them saying anything. They might be out and his partner is beginning to feel a little cold but they don’t say anything, seconds later Hyeong-jun is draping a jacket or a blanket over his partner’s shoulders to keep them warm. Or he comes with a bandaid the second his partner accidentally cuts themselves while making food, Hyeong-jun wasn’t even in the kitchen nor did he hear his partner saying anything, he just knew. He might not say ‘I love you’ all that often with words but his actions speak way louder and his partner will never have to question if Hyeong-jun loves them or not.

Jooyeon

This man will be holding onto his partner 25/8. He will be holding their hand, hugging them, half laying on them even when standing up, he will be playing with their hair, just touching them all the time. Jooyeon loves his partner, and therefore he wants to be close to them - all the time. So if he can touch them, he will. And please let him because otherwise, he is going to pout and sulk until his partner clings onto him, telling him how much they love him.

Imagine you get in a fight with Seungmin, and he eventually cracks and tries to make it up to you. He’s finally waved you down to apologize to you after the guilt of upsetting you has officially eaten away at him for too long. You’re in a similar boat, knowing that you both messed up in different ways, so you decided to hear him out because at the end of the day, you’re tired of sleeping alone on the couch. Once you both finally come to terms, he’s grabbing your face and kissing you passionately. He’s missed you so much from the next room over- also tired of sleeping alone. Apologies and I love yous whispered between you every time he pulls away to breathe. Clinging desperately to your clothes, pulling you impossibly closer to him. You felt like you were melting into each other. Seungmin was so glad to have you close to him again, and he couldn’t wait to finally sleep well tonight.

When You Get Distant After He Calls You Clingy ~ Xdinary Heroes Reaction

Gunil:

There were several gasps from around the room as Gunil spoke, watching as you stood up and excused yourself from the boys’ studio straight away.

“Y/N, where are you going?” Gunil called out, clueless as to what he’d done wrong. He went to stand up, but Jooyeon pulled him back.

He shot a glare at him, “don’t go after her.”

“You can’t say that she’s clingy and expect her not to get upset,” Seungmin the explained to him, watching as the smile on Gunil’s face dropped. “Did you even realise what you said when you said that just then?”

“I was just joking,” Gunil tried to explain, but the boys’ heads shook back at him, “did you all really think that I was being serious about how I felt?”

“Maybe you should ask Y/N,” Jungsu told him.

“Damn,” Gunil sighed as he placed his head into his hands, “I didn’t even think of what I was saying, I didn’t really mean it.”

“That’s what Y/N needs to know,” Jiseok told him, “maybe you should just give her some time to not be annoyed first.”

“I’ve messed up big time, haven’t I?”

“You can still save it yet.”

Jungsu:

You dropped your phone in a heartbeat as you heard the bedroom door open, desperately trying to convince Jungsu that you were asleep as he entered the room.

“You’ll have to try harder than that,” he told you though as he perched down on the end of the bed and watched you stirring.

Your head shook, “I’ve got nothing to say to you.”

“Well I’ve got something that I’d like to say to you,” Jungsu shrugged as your eyes opened to look at him. “Whether you listen or not is up to you, but I really just need for you to know how much I regret what I said.”

“It’s taken you all this time to decide that you regret what you said?” You asked Jungsu, glancing at the clock to see just how late it was into the night.

“I wanted to give you time,” he responded.

“That was the worst thing that you could’ve said to me,” you informed him, “the last thing I’d ever want to be is clingy to anyone.”

“And you aren’t,” Jungsu insisted with a soft sigh, “I guess I just wanted to hurt you and figured the worst thing to say.”

“I still feel like I need more time, Jungsu.”

“Alright, if that’s what you want.”

Gaon:

A shy smile crept onto Jiseok’s face as he walked through the front door, not expecting to still see you at home, only for you to stand up straight away from the sofa.

“Y/N, please don’t just walk away from me, can we talk?” Jiseok asked you, his voice desperate as he tried his best to call you back.

You slowly spun around, “what’s there to say?”

“A lot,” he quickly told you as you sat down on the sofa, with Jiseok perching on the arm of the sofa beside you. “I mean the first thing that I should say is just sorry, I should’ve never called you clingy like that.”

“Did you really mean it?” You curiously enquired in reply, “have you ever really considered me to be clingy and wanted me to just go away for a little while Jiseok?”

“No, I could never,” he defended back to you.

“I just don’t understand why you’d say it then,” you admitted, “something somewhere must have made you want to say it to me.”

“My own stupidity?” Jiseok asked himself with a faint chuckle. “All I can say is sorry for saying something so idiotic.”

“It definitely was pretty stupid of you.”

“I can’t argue with that Y/N.”

O.de:

The feeling of your arms untangling his from around you made Seungmin’s heart sink, finally realising just how upset you were by the comments he had made.

“You don’t need to do this, you know you’re not clingy,” Seungmin tried to tell you, but your head shook back to him in response.

You sighed softly, “I don’t want to risk it.”

“Y/N,” Seungmin whispered as he tried once again to move his arms around you, only for you to this time take a step away from Seungmin to be out of his reach. “How long are you going to carry this on for?”

“Until I’m confident that I’m really not clingy in your opinion,” you spoke, “and not feeling like you’re just saying I’m not clingy because you know you messed up.”

“I really do mean it,” Seungmin insisted.

“I can’t believe you…not just yet anyway,” you softly told Seungmin, knowing that you too were upsetting him with your comments.

“If that’s really how you feel,” Seungmin caved, holding his hands up innocently. “I’ll give you some space until you’re ready.”

“I can’t just be alright after this Min.”

“I understand, I was cruel to you.”

Jun Han:

The sigh that came from Hyungjun was loud as you immediately stepped away from him once you had said your goodnights to the rest of the boys in the dorm.

“So now you’re going to pretend like you’ve got a problem with me?” Hyungjun asked you, shaking his head across at you in disbelief.

Your eyes went wide, “I’ve always had a problem.”

“Maybe saying that you can be clingy wasn’t exactly the right choice of words,” Hyungjun admitted with a shrug, “but why smile at me back in the living room just to blank me now that we’re alone again?”

“Because unlike you, I don’t think it’s fair to argue with you in front of your friends,” you challenged, “they didn’t deserve to watch us argue and see me strop with you in there.”

“Where do we go from here?” Hyungjun asked.

“For me? The only place I’m going is home,” you informed him as you began to collect up your belongings, “I don’t feel welcome here.”

“Y/N, it’s late, you can’t go home now,” Hyungjun tried to tell you, but you refused to listen as you moved around the room.

“I can’t stay here with you Hyungjun.”

“I’ll take the sofa in that case.”

Jooyeon:

His smile was faint as Jooyeon looked across to see you sat on the sofa, taken aback to see that you were still at home and not as far away from him as possible.

“I thought that you would’ve been at your parents,” Jooyeon told you as he tentatively walked past you and took a seat in the room.

Your head shook, “this is where I live, right?”

“Of course,” Jooyeon agreed, left unsurprised by the bitterness that was still in your voice after what he had said to you earlier in the day. “I just want to be able to tell you how sorry I am Y/N what I said to you.”

“You can’t just apologise and expect things to be alright,” you warned Jooyeon, “you really hurt me to even suggest that I might have ever been clingy towards you.”

“You’re right to be annoyed,” he told you.

“That’s kind of you to say,” you sarcastically responded, shaking your head at Jooyeon, “it’s nice for you to decide how I feel.”

“I’m trying to put things right Y/N,” Jooyeon tried to get you to see, “can’t you at least try and see how sorry I am.”

“I know that you’re sorry Jooyeon.”

“Then please just listen to me.”

“You look ridiculous.”

Sticking your tongue out at your boyfriend, you tugged at the huge hoodie you were wearing around your shoulders tighter. “You’re just jealous. That’s what you are.”

Jooyeon began to sputter, choking on his own saliva. “Wha-pa-ca-ta JEALOUS? I am NOT jealous!”

You burst out laughing so hard you almost peed yourself. “OH MY GOD! YES YOU SO ARE! YOU ARE JEALOUS!”

“I AM NOT!”

“Tell that to your face and how you’ve been acting all day.” You shot back, still laughing your ass off.

He pouted, crossing his arms over his chest for the twelfth time that day. “I’ve told you a thousand times I am not jealous and I will never be jealous. I don’t get jealous.”

You scoffed, finally calming your laughter a little. “Oh sure you don’t. You’re the most jealous person I’ve ever met. And I know O.de.”

Jooyeon groaned, rolling his eyes. “Do not compare me to that child. I am not a child.”

“Well, you are acting a lot like one so it’s a fair comparison.”

Your teasing made his frown worsen, which made him look madder than he probably was. Probably. “You’re a jerk, you know that?”

Shrugging, you answered, “So I’ve been told.”

When he didn’t respond after a while, you sighed in exasperation. “Look, just admit you’re jealous and I’ll do something about it, alright?”

“I told you! I. Am. Not. Jealous!” He snapped.

You scoffed. “Fine. Whatever you say. I’m not going to change anything then.”

“Fine!” He shot back, turning his face away from you.

The two of you sat in silence for a good fifteen minutes. You were honestly kind of impressed. With how Jooyeon has been acting all day, you thought that perhaps he’d break already. However, he seemed to have a stronger resolve than you initially thought. You had to give credit where credit is due.

“ALRIGHT FINE!” He shouted, causing you to jump slightly. “I AM JEALOUS! THERE! ARE YOU HAPPY? ARE YOU HAPPY TO KNOW I JUST ADMITTED THAT MAYBE SOMETIMES, VERY RARELY, I DO GET JEALOUS? HUH?”

You started laughing again, but not as hard as you did earlier. Nevertheless, you shrugged, “Maybe I am. Maybe I am a little happy you finally acknowledged that you’re jealous of a goddamn hoodie.”

“IT’S THE PRINCIPLE, Y/N!” He continued. “I’M THE BOYFRIEND! I’M THE ONE WITH THE BIG, COMFY HOODIES YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO BE WEARING! I’M THE ONE WHO SUPPLIES THEM IN THE RELATIONSHIP! YOU DON’T NEED TO GO OUT AND BUY YOUR OWN!”

“But it was on sale!” You whined. “And it was super cute and comfy! I just had to get it!”

Jooyeon pouted. “But if you buy your own hoodie, then what is my role in the relationship? I mean, if I’m not giving you my hoodie every second of the day, who am I?”

Chuckling, you wrapped your arms around him. Ignoring his whines about being touched by the “traitor” hoodie, you said, “Jooyeon, sweetie, your role in the relationship is the angel. We’re like the angel and demon from the Emperor’s New Groove that Kronk sees and talks to. You’re the sweet one and I’m the devilish one. You’re not simply my hoodie dealer.”

He sighed. “But maybe I wanted to be both.”

“You can be.” You assured him as you stroked his hair comfortingly. “But you’re my angel first and foremost, okay?”

Jooyeon simply shrugged, looking away. Mumbling under his breath, he said, “It doesn’t even smell like me.”

“Well it does now since you hugged me.”

Again, he shrugged. “True, I guess.”

With a chuckle, you pressed a soft kiss to his forehead. “You know I love you right? And if you love me just as much as I love you, we’ll put this whole hoodie debacle behind us once and for all. Okay?”

Looking deep into your eyes, he quickly switched the roles of the hug. Now you were the one in his arms, his fingers gently gripping your chin to keep your focus on him. Before you knew it he swept you into a deep kiss, enough to make your eyelids flutter shut and your knees basically turn to Jell-o.

When he pulled away, he whispered. “I do love you, very much. No matter what you do and how crazy you make me, I will always love you. And I don’t want to fight with you like this again, okay? It’s not worth it.”

You snorted. “Obviously. It’s just a hoodie.”

“IT’S THE PRINCIPLE!”

“Here we go again…”

Gunil:

You’re back home from a movie date with your boyfriend. It was a romantic comedy without a deep plot, but somehow he still ends up having enough thoughts about it to talk about it during the entire way home, and then some more, whereas the only thing you can currently think about is that scene where the male lead picks up his love interest and then kisses her. So in order to stop his rambles, you decide to change the topic to that scene. “Nobody has ever done that with me,” you remark, eyeing Gunil’s arms that are only half covered by his short-sleeved shirt. “I wonder what that feels like when you’re picked up like that by a strong guy.” Obviously taking the bait, your boyfriend grins at you, backing you up against the nearest wall. “Well, there’s a strong guy right here, so…” he flirts back, his hands already resting on your hips. You let your fingertips dance up from his chest to the back of his neck, waiting for him to kiss you first. However, he merely brushes his lips against yours in a feathery light touch, before hooking his arms under your thighs and picking you up with ease. You hold onto his shoulders as you’re taken by surprise when he pushes you up against the wall like that, a grin on his lips. “How does that feel?” he asks, raising an eyebrow at you as your gaze drops to his lips. Feeling safe in his hold, you let go of his shoulders and cup his face with your hands instead. “Pretty good,” you whisper against his lips, and then you kiss him again. You wrap your legs around his hips and deepen the kiss quickly, leading over to a heated makeout session in no time. Eventually you break apart, already breathless, but only for as long as it takes him to carry you over to his bedroom to continue where you left off.

Jungsu:

It’s one of those days where you come home at the end of the day feeling exhausted and wanting nothing more than to rest. Though you figure he must be tired too, Jungsu greets you with a smile, happy to see you. You decide to have a quick dinner on the couch, with the tv switched on as background noise, and after you’re done eating you eventually start cuddling with him. “How was your day?” he asks. “Tiring,” you answer curtly. Turning to look at him, you add, “I missed you.” Jungsu lets out a laugh - after all you’ve last seen each other in the morning, so you saying that you miss him seems exaggerated. However, when you capture his chin between your thumb and index finger to make him turn to look at you, he becomes serious. Wordlessly, you kiss him, and you feel him kissing you back, taking the lead. He wraps his arms around you to hold you close, palms wandering down your back slowly and eventually coming to a halt on your hips as you part for air. “I’m here now,” he whispers against your lips, going in for another kiss and carefully pushing you backwards so he can lay you down on the sofa, now hovering above you. “You don’t have to miss me anymore.” His lips wander from the corner of your mouth to your jaw, leaving a trail of soft kisses there, and then eventually he scatters little pecks all over your face until you begin to giggle from the ticklish sensation. You throw your arms around his shoulders, holding onto him with a smile and whispering a hushed “thank you”, though what you really want to convey to him is that you love him more than anything. He smiles back at you, and then he dives in for another deeper kiss, and you allow yourself to melt against his touch fully. Eventually you forget all about the tv running in the background or how exhausting your day has been, because now all you see is him, and all you can focus on is the way he kisses you with such care that you never want him to stop.

Gaon:

He’s surprisingly paying you a visit after one of his schedules got cancelled and decided to also bring along your favourite snacks. So you made yourselves comfortable in your room, starting to chat and share the food he brought along. While you’re talking about everything and nothing at the same time, it takes you a while to actively notice the way he’s been feeding you bite by bite, holding out chips and crackers without you questioning it and simply taking them from him. However, when it finally dawns on you what he’s doing, you start laughing. “Wait a second!” you exclaim in amusement. “Why are you feeding me like you’re trying to domesticate a wild animal?” Jiseok just raises his eyebrows and snorts at your remark, stuffing the snack in his hand into his own mouth instead. “Can I not want to take care of my partner?” he asks, and as you shake your head his gaze drops to your lips. “No, just… I can do it myself too…” You’re about to tell him that he’s spoiling you too much, when you find him cupping your cheek in his palm. “You have something stuck on your mouth…” Jiseok mutters, and before you can react, he’s already leaning in. Brushing his lips against yours just once, tongue running along your bottom lip, he pulls back and checks your face with a smile. “There, all done.” As he removes his hand in order to go back to feeding the two of you snacks, you reach out to him, grabbing him by his collar and smashing your lips against his. You kiss him properly, having him fall into your rhythm easily as he lets you lead, and when you finally break apart, he raises his eyebrows at you in surprise. “I-” you try to say something but the words in your head won’t add up. However, your boyfriend seems to understand as he grins at you now, and while he places his hand onto the back of your neck, he leans in again. “It’s alright,” he mutters, pressing his lips against yours. “You taste much sweeter anyway.”

O.de:

You’re lying on his bed, pretending to be looking at something on your phone, when really you keep stealing glances at your boyfriend standing not far from you. You both got home late today, but he insisted on at least doing a small workout, arguing that he can’t afford to lose muscle mass if he wants to look good on stage. And it’s not like you’ve never seen him work out before, it’s just that you can’t tear yourself away from the image of him being so serious about it. And to be honest - the way his arms flex with every repetition is kinda hot, and definitely doesn’t make you wonder what it would feel like if he used his strength against you. “Babe, what are you looking at?” Seungmin asks as he’s taking a little break, catching you staring at him. “Uhh… nothing,” you answer, making him grin. “It’s not nothing,” he says, throwing his equipment to the side - two small dumbbells he often carries around. “I saw you staring.” As he approaches you, you put your phone aside, and you roll onto your back so he can crawl on top of you. Burying his head in your neck to let his lips graze the skin right below your ear, he adds, “Liked what you saw?” His cheeky side makes you feel flustered, and though the expression in his eyes is still soft as he comes back up to look at you, there is mischief hiding behind them. “Yeah,” you decide to simply be honest, and he rewards you with a kiss. As he presses his lips against yours, you can feel yourself falling into his rhythm, and when he pulls back instead of letting you deepen the kiss, you let out a small whine. “Then how about this?” Seungmin reaches for your wrists, slowly lifting up your arms and then pinning your hands to the bed above your head. You try to fight it only to find that his grip is too strong to allow for you to move even an inch, and heat rushes through your body upon realizing that. When he reconnects your lips, you mutter a silent curse into his mouth, and he grins at your reaction for a second, before kissing you properly.

Junhan:

You had originally planned to go out on a date today, but when you woke up in the morning and the weather was unexpectedly very bad, you decided to simply change your plans and stay at home. Hyeongjun offered to cook you two a simple meal with ingredients he found in his fridge, and how could you say no to that? So you spend most of your time chatting and helping him cook, and time and time again the love you have for this guy simply overwhelms you. So when it’s time to clean up and wash the dishes, you pull him aside instead and simply kiss him. “Let’s clean up first, baby,” he mutters with a smile on his lips, but you don’t let him go anywhere. Instead you tug at his shirt, walking backwards until your shoulders hit the wall behind you, pulling him along with you. Wordlessly, he puts one hand against the wall right beside your head to trap you in between it and his body, and he’s still smiling as you bring him in for another kiss. “Baby, we should really-” he starts another attempt at being reasonable, but with the way you won’t leave his lips while running your fingers through his hair, you’re making it increasingly harder for him to resist you. Snaking your arms around his upper body now, you keep him close as he kisses you back and you eventually deepen the kiss. He allows you to slip your tongue inside his mouth as you press up against him, fingertips digging into his back and you know he’s enjoying what you’re doing to him as you briefly break apart and you hear him letting out a small moan. His eyes glued to your lips now, you don’t waste another moment and kiss him again, until eventually, he captures your chin between his thumb and index finger and breaks the kiss. “We really need to put away this mess,” he says, not giving you another chance to distract him further. “But we can clean up quickly and then get back to this as soon as we’re done,” he says, before placing another quick peck on your mouth and then getting to work.

Jooyeon:

You’ve been lazing around together all evening, listening to music and showing each other new songs each of you had recently discovered, which somehow turned into a karaoke session as evening turned into night. By now you’re just singing and screaming along to songs you’ve both known for a while, continuously trying to quiet each other down and reminding each other not to bother the neighbours, but eventually just getting loud again. Jumping up and down and getting hyped together, the playlist is eventually over and as silence fills the room, you can feel that your body is getting tired. Pulling him towards his bed by his wrist, you were planning on having you both collapse side by side, but somehow you end up on top of him, and the surprised expression you must be making causes him to laugh. “That was fun,” you eventually say, letting out a laugh as well, while he reaches out to rest his hand on the back of your neck. “Yeah,” he agrees, still smiling when he pulls you into a kiss. It’s just a quick peck at first, but you don’t hesitate to reconnect your lips soon after, just staying like that and kissing him for a while. Your fingers tangled in his hair, you eventually change into a more comfortable position, him now hovering above you as his lips travel from the corner of your mouth down to your neck. You can’t help but laugh as he nips at a ticklish spot, making him instinctively pull you closer with his arms wrapped around your body, and finding his way back to your lips. You mutter an “I love you” into the kiss, and he returns the words as he parts from you for a second, only to find one of your hands, intertwining your fingers, and then going for another kiss with a smile on his lips.

It wasn't the first time you and Seungmin were having longer hugging session; you sometimes needed the comfort and he was always willing to give it. And vice versa. It had always been platonic though, as far as you know.

But you didn't expect to miss him and his hugs this much. He had just arrived back from a well deserved vacation and being the good friend you were, you offered to pick him up from the airport.

You give him a small wave when you see him walk through the automated doors and his smile gets wider when he notices you.

Seungmin hurries into your direction and immediately wraps his arms around you. "I missed you."

"Welcome back." You speak softly. "I missed you too."

You inhale his familiar scent and tighten the hug, your face buried into his chest. You hear a low chuckle and feel his hand through your hair as he comforts you.

The two of you stay like this for what feels like hours, just hugging each other. You hear Seungmin's heart beating steadily and it instantly makes you more calm.

"Is this still hugging or does it count as cuddling?" He then asks, his voice slightly playful as he caresses your back.

You look at him, but keep your arms around him. Would it change something in your friendship if you spoke what's on your mind?

"It counts as cuddling." You boldly reply, hoping he'd get the hint.

Seungmin smiles and gives you a little nod, then ever so carefully presses a kiss atop your head. "Good."

DRUM LESSONS

Pairing: Gunil x fem reader

Note: This is my first time writing about Xdinary Heroes, so naturally I had to start with my bias, Gunil ᰔᩚ this was originally supposed to be a drabble but it ended up being 1k words so I guess it’s not really a drabble anymore lol

"I've always been curious about playing drums."

Your comment caught Gunil's attention, who sat beside you, making him look up from his phone. You had been watching him practice for the last half hour and couldn't help but wonder what it would be like to play the drums.

"You have?"

You eyed the unoccupied instrument for a moment. "Yeah. It seems fun."

"Would you like to try?"

"Are you serious?"

He flashed that heart-melting grin of his. "Of course. I'd be happy to teach you the basics."

"But what about practice?"

"I do this five times a week, I've got plenty more days to practice."

You couldn't hold back your smile as you accepted his offer, giving a nod.

Taking a seat at the drum set, you picked up Gunil's drumsticks, holding them in front of you.

"Okay, just tell me what to do."

"First, put your foot on the pedal down there for the kick drum."

You did as he said and waited for further instructions.

"Alright now press the pedal like this." He then proceeded to do dun, dun, dun noises, mimicking the deep sound of the kick drum.

You pressed the pedal in the same rhythm that he mimicked.

"Okay, keep going with that and hit this cymbal here in between every beat of the drum."

Again, you followed his instructions, now creating a dun tss, dun tss sound. A smile made its way to your face as you bobbed your head enthusiastically to the beat.

"Very good." Gunil smiled. "Let's try another one."

Your playing ceased and you waited for him to explain what you'd be doing.

"This one is a little more complicated. You'll be using these two drums." He pointed. "This one is called the snare drum. Fun fact, the snare and kick drums are what's used most often."

You nodded, taking in the information.

"Alright, so start like this."

You could feel his body press up against yours as his arms came into your vision, his hands wrapping around yours as a wave of heat rushed to your cheeks. He didn't seem to realize exactly what his actions were doing to you as he began to explain the order and rhythm of each hit.

"So, go like this." He moved your hands to hit the snare drum directly in front of you in a particular uptempo beat before moving your right one to a different drum.

You tried to keep up but you found it hard to do so because of Gunil being so close to you, the feeling of his firm and fit body pressed against your back, his strong arms around your shoulders and hands wrapped around your own had your head clouding.

"You got it?"

"I think so."

His hands left yours, the warmth they radiated leaving you as you were left to repeat the movements he just shown you.

Taking in a deep breath, you attempted to clear your head before hitting the snare in the rhythm he demonstrated, going to hit one of the drums on the side.

"You almost got it. Here, let's go over it one more time."

Gunil leaned over you once again, distracting you and sending your mind into a daze.

"So start like this." His voice was right next to your ear, deep and smooth, the sound pleasing to hear. You'd always loved his voice.

He drummed in the same rhythm he had earlier, holding your hands tightly in his.

"Could you repeat it?" You asked meekly, realizing you weren't paying attention—again.

"Sure."

He went through it once more.

"You got it?" He asked.

You turned to look at him for the first time since he leaned over you, quickly realizing how close his face was to yours. Your eyes unintentionally flickered down to his lips for a moment.

"I..." You trailed off, unable to finish your sentence.

Gunil pulled his bottom lip between his teeth as he finally realized the position the two of you were in. He didn't think anything of it at first, but now it dawned on him how incredibly close he was to you, just a few inches separating your faces.

He had been crushing on you for quite some time, but him and his band were still rookies and his focus had constantly been on improving and getting better. Part of him was worried that a relationship would be too much to handle, however, in this moment seeing your soft-looking lips so close was making his mind hazy. All he could think about was kissing you and all of a sudden, balancing a career and a relationship didn't seem so hard.

Though you saw his face inching closer, you were still caught off guard when his lips pressed against yours. It was a light and almost hesitant kiss, but one that made your heart soar. You were quick to reciprocate, leaning towards him a bit to press your lips closer to his, the sounds of your mouths moving together filling the silence in the practice room. One of Gunil's hands left yours and cupped your face, his thumb stroking your cheek lovingly. The kiss was slow and passionate, the kind of kiss that makes your head spin and your heart race.

It all ended much too soon when he pulled away, clearly fighting back a smile.

"Gunil." You murmured, dazed from the kiss.

"I like you." He stated.

"I like you too."

"Then be my girlfriend."

Your breath caught in your throat as you gazed at him, watching the way his eyes glimmered.

"Please?" He added politely, realizing his request sounded like more of a demand.

"Yes." You smiled.

Gunil could hardly contain his excitement, leaning in for another long kiss before pulling away with a goofy grin on his face.

"As much as I'd like to keep doing this, you've got to finish practicing." You mentioned.

"Oh." He laughed softly. "Right."

You handed him the drumsticks, which you miraculously hadn't let go of, standing up from the seat.

"Do your thing, drummer boy."

Being in a poly relationship with Xdinary Heroes would be quite eventful. From all the music to the kisses, the cuddles, the dinners, the dates, the fun, and everything else. You would simply never have a second to yourself, one of your lovely boyfriends would always be beside you. Whether it be playing games with Jooyeon, cooking with Junhan, singing with Jungsu, watching movies with Gaon, shopping with O.De, or having random photo sessions with Gunil, you know you’ll never be alone or bored.

Days at home with all 6 of them would be nice. O.De and Jungsu would have prepared matching outfits for everyone, the outfits could range from pajamas to something fit for the red carpet. Junhan and you (if you know your way around the kitchen) would prepare the food, some days it was expensive food while others it was cup noodles, it all depended on the energy of everyone and the theme for the night. Gunil would have bought snacks, he always buys too much but he just wanted to make sure that there was enough for everyone and something that everyone liked. Gaon was always in charge of choosing either the movie, the drama, or the music for the night. Jooyeon was, in a way, in charge of the mood, his energy set the pace for the night, if he was sad the mood was sullen, if he was excited and happy (like most days) then the mood was bright and fun.

While Junhan is the calmest of the bunch, he is still very committed to the relationship. He might not be loud and clingy like Jooyeon or Gaon, but he compensated for that with his calmness and his attentiveness. Junhan always made sure to stay by the others’ sides, so that no one had to be alone. He memorized everyone’s favorite dishes and cooked them at least once every two weeks, and if someone didn’t like a certain component of a dish like a vegetable Junhan made sure to not include it in the food. Everyone appreciated his efforts and understood that he did these things because he loved the others, so he might not be the one to hug all the time but he has his ways of showing his love.

O.De is always ready to go shopping or just relax and watch a movie. He always wants to do whatever would make his partners happy, if that means doing something he doesn’t really like he would still do it. O.De and Jungsu are the fashionistas of the group and they love coming up with matching outfits for everyone, while some people think it’s corny and stupid these two thought it was cute so therefore the rest of the partners did too. If you have long hair, O.De would love to play with it. Brushing it, running his hands through it, and he would practice on Jooyeon’s hair to learn how to do braids and cute hairstyles for you.

Jungsu, as previously mentioned, puts together matching outfits for the group with O.De. He will also serenade you all, every day. He will 100% dance with you if you like to dance. Just say “Jungsu can we dance [insert dance]?” And he will already have pressed play and begun dancing. Jungsu will also, 100%, be one to tease the younger members by pinching their cheeks and saying that they look cute, and he will do that to you too (even if you’re older than him). Junhan and O.De will find it annoying, but let him do it just because they know Jungsu likes doing it.

Gunil will be clinging to one of you all the time. If you see Gunil on his own, he’s either 1. out buying snacks for the group or, 2. his partners have hidden away from him to have a minute of personal space. He will be hugging, kissing, holding, and just touching his partners in any way that he can as often as he can. He will just like Junhan, have his partners’ favorite snacks memorized and he will make sure that those snacks are always available in the apartment. If you’re in the car and you’re tired, Gunil will gently lean your head against his shoulder and tell you to sleep.

Jooyeon has a lot of energy to put it lightly, but he also knows exactly how to use it. He will drag all of you along with him to play soccer and/or basketball or other games, really anything that allows him to use up some energy. Clingy member #2. Jooyeon will, just like Gunil, hug and kiss his partners all the time. Jooyeon will become sulky if he goes 2 minutes without being close to his beloved partners. He’s the mood-maker of the group so as said earlier, if he’s happy, the group is happy, if he’s sad, the group is sad. When Jooyeon and Gaon are in their mischievous mood, you know there’s going to be trouble. You never know what they’re going to do, one time it was dying Gunil’s hair, another time the rest of you came home to the apartment full of bouncy balls. In short, it’s never a boring moment with them around.

Gaon as just mentioned, is one of the two troublemakers. He is also teaser #1. Jungsu may tease the younger members and you, Gaon teases everyone. It might be teasing touches or words, it’s loving, but he teases a lot. He’s still very loving, he makes sure everyone drinks enough water, and Gaon, just like O.De, is always up to chill and watch a movie. Whatever you wanna see, he’ll watch. Gaon is always really eager to show his partners whenever he comes up with something he can use for a new song or just play guitar to accompany Jungsu’s singing. Clingy member #3. Gaon is another one who will latch on to one of his partners and not let go, it’s part of his teasing, especially toward Junhan who isn’t the most touchy person. He does it with love though, Gunil and Jooyeon don’t mind it so sometimes those three end up in a cuddling pile with or without you and the others.

So to sum it up. There would be a lot of cuddling, kissing, hand-holding, eating, laughing, and shopping.

We’re not going to go full on how the sex would be, however, we’re going to be bringing up some things.

There would be times when the intimate moments happen between you and just one of them, other times it’s two or three of them and you, or finally, all of them and you. The times with just one of them would be the most hectic, you might think otherwise, but when it’s just one of them and you, there is more room for experimenting. When it’s all of them, they’re all too worried about overwhelming or hurting you so it’s mostly on the softer side, with a lot of aftercare cuddles. When it’s just two or three of them and you, it depends on who it is.

Gunil + Gaon and/or O.De = oftentimes, on the harder side. These three like to experiment, also, Gaon so has a marking kink - he leaves a lot of hickeys on his partners, especially on you. Gunil has a bit of a domination kink, he likes bossing others around, while both Gaon and O.De are more on the dominant side too, they rarely ever go above Gunil unless Gunil allows it.

Jungsu + Junhan = soft, worshipping sex. These two will do everything they can to please you. They will treat you like a god/goddess.

Jooyeon is a bit of a joker, it depends on who he is with. As said earlier, he has a lot of energy. So, the man can go for a long time. If he’s paired up with Gaon, expect a lot of teasing, and for things to be on the harder side. If he’s paired up with Gunil, he’s going to be on the submissive side and softer. Jooyeon + Jungsu and/or Junhan will be on the softer side however with them he can take on a more dominant role. Jooyeon + O.De = teasing, mixes of hard and soft, overstimulation, and much more. In this dynamic, Jooyeon is on the submissive side but he can sometimes take on a more dominant role depending on O.De’s mood.

And as mentioned earlier, sex with all of them will be very soft. Kind of how it is when it’s only Jungsu or Junhan or the two of them together. There’s going to be a lot of kisses and soft touches. Massages and comforting words. Praise to the maximum.

On the days when you feel like the world was out to get you, Jooyeon would have his door open for you- giving you somewhere to go when you felt like you had nowhere else to turn. On the days when you felt the least confident, he would be there to pick up your pieces, slowly gluing you back together with affirmations and praise. When you finally had a little victory, and the sun finally seemed to poke through the clouds, Jooyeon would be there to bask in its light with you. And then, when the clouds came back, Jooyeon would remain. When you would start to think you’d never see the sun again, Jooyeon would reassure you that it always comes back. He would wait with you through everything, even if it takes forever. On your worst, cloudiest days, he would always remind you that the sun will return.

When You Dodge Their Kiss ~ Xdinary Heroes Reaction

Gunil:

The moment that Gunil came towards you, you stood up from where you were sat and began to run through the house. It took him a moment to realise what it was that you were doing before taking off after you.

“Y/N!” Gunil yelled through the house multiple times as you dodged around the furniture to get away from him.

“Go away,” you sniggered, moving between the rooms of your home with Gunil running too far behind you as he tried to get to you.

You ran for your bedroom, closing the door behind you to give yourself a moment to find a spot to hide. “I know where you are,” Gunil yelled, running as he saw you go in.

“Get out,” you screamed as soon as the bedroom door opened.

“There’s nowhere to run now,” Gunil smirked as he blocked off your exit from the bedroom, “now what are you going to do?”

Your shoulders shrugged, “I’m still not coming anywhere near you.”

“If you don’t give me a kiss I won’t let you leave,” he laughed in reply, “why don’t you just give me what I want instead Y/N?”

“I’ve never going to give into you.”

Jungsu:

Your smile turned up as Jungsu stepped towards you knowing exactly what it was that he wanted. The moment his eyes closed, you waited, catching his moment of impatience before pressing your palm to his lips.

“What was that?” Jungsu frowned across at you as he stepped back in confusion, “that definitely wasn’t your lips.”

“You’re right,” you smirked, holding your hand up for Jungsu to see. “I didn’t want to kiss you so I thought that you could just kiss my hand.”

Jungsu quickly wrapped his arm around your waist to stop you from going anywhere. “What do you mean you didn’t want to kiss me? How can you not want to kiss me?”

“I’m still mad at you by the way,” you warned him.

“What did I do?” Jungsu innocently asked, clueless as to what had gone on. “I’ve barely been at home all day Y/N.”

You hummed in reply, “you left me here all day, I’m mad at you.”

“Y/N,” Jungsu groaned, tilting his head back in disbelief back at you. “Why don’t you let me kiss you so that I can make it up to you?”

“You’ve got a lot of making up to do Jungsu.”

Gaon:

You ducked down as Jinseok came towards you, stumbling around after having a couple of drinks. The smell of his breath put you off straight away, ducking as his arms went to wrap around and pull you in too.

“Y/N, where did you go?” Jinseok asked, the slight blur in his vision confusing him more as to where you had gone.

“I’m here,” you laughed, popping back up once Jinseok had stood back up. “You look like you’ve been enjoying yourself this evening.”

It took Jinseok a moment to look around and realise where you were. “I was coming over to kiss you and then all of a sudden you weren’t there,” Jinseok huffed, failing to make sense of things.

“Really? That’s so strange,” you chuckled back at him.

“Y-yeah,” Jinseok stuttered, not quite realising that you were the one that had ducked and ended up confused him.

Your head shook at his baffled expression, “you’re a bit drunk.”

“That’s probably what it is,” Jinseok agreed, still not quite piecing together the facts, with you knowing he probably never would too.

“Let’s get you a glass of water, shall we?”

O.de:

Your hands both came up and covered your face, leaving Seungmin with no access to be able to press a kiss to you. You parted your fingers slightly to be able to look at Seungmin, sniggering at his expression.

“You’re not hiding from me, are you?” Seungmin quizzed, placing his hands against your waist, tickling you gently.

“Me? Never,” you defended, struggling to keep your hands where they were as you wanted to push Seungmin’s hands away from your waist.

Seungmin’s eyebrow raised questionably back across at you, “you knew that I was going to kiss you and then all of a sudden you decided you wanted to cover your face, right?”

“What do you take me for?” You giggled with Seungmin tickling too.

“I take you as someone being mean to their boyfriend,” he laughed, digging in a little more to finally get your hands moving.

You quickly tried to stop Seungmin tickling you, “stop it.”

“I’ll stop it if you give me the kiss that I wanted,” Seungmin assured you, “and you’re not allowed to cover your face this time either.”

“Alright, if that’s what it takes to stop you.”

Jun Han:

A gasp came from Hyeongjun as soon as you stepped to the left, leaving him kissing the air as he leant forwards. A look of surprise stared at you, a shake of his head too almost in disbelief at what you’d done.

“Did you just swerve my kiss?” Hyeonjun asked you in an attempt to make sure that what he thought had happened really did.

“I had an itch,” you told him, biting down on your bottom lip as you tried to stop your smile from growing. “I would’ve kissed you otherwise.”

Hyeongjun’s head continued to shake, “you know that you’ve never been very good at lying. You just swerved my kiss for no reason, I’m supposed to by your boyfriend?”

“You are my boyfriend,” you laughed in reply to Hyeonjun.

“That means you’re supposed to kiss me,” he gasped, still shaking his head, “I think my heart just broke a little bit.”

Your eyes quickly rolled, “stop being so dramatic Hyeonjun.”

“You’ve broken my heart,” he told you, placing one of his hands over it, “I hope you’re proud of yourself for not kissing me now.”

“I might swerve more for your dramatics.”

Jooyeon:

The moment you watched Jooyeon’s lips pout, you took a step back, beginning to run away from him. He stood and waited for your kiss, but when it didn’t come, Jooyeon’s eyes opened back up again.

“Why aren’t you kissing me?” Jooyeon frowned, folding his arms across his chest, “how did you even get over there?”

“I’m just standing here,” you shrugged, smiling innocently back across at him. “You didn’t tell me that you wanted me to give you a kiss Joo.”

His eyes widened as you continued to mess with him, “did you not think the fact that my eyes were closed and that my lips were pouted told you that I wanted a kiss?”

“You’ll have to get me then,” you joked with him.

“You’re serious?” He quizzed, watching your head nod as you started to back around the house again. “I have to get you?”

Your head nodded, “you have to earn a kiss from me Jooyeon.”

“You’re ridiculous,” Jooyeon groaned as he began chasing you around the apartment, “I’ve never had to work for a kiss before.”

“You have to earn a kiss from me I’m afraid.”

“Your hair is so pretty.” You mumbled, running your fingers through Jooyeon’s silky locks as the two of you were cuddled together in his bed.

He laughed, this thumb rubbing your cheek softly. “Thanks babe. Your hair is rather pretty too.”

“Yeah, but yours is even more pretty.”

“Do you actually mean that or are you just fishing for compliments?”

A pout tugged at your lips. “If I was fishing for compliments, I wouldn’t make a comment on your hair. I’d actually bring up something I’m insecure about.”

“I suppose you’re right.”

“Besides,” you continued, “your hair is very pretty. And it makes you look insanely attractive when you’re singing and playing your bass. You always draw me to you when you perform.”

He smirked at your words. “That’s good to hear. I try to be the center of attention when we perform.”

You rolled your eyes. “Oh, yeah, sure. As if you aren’t already the center of attention every second of every day.”

“Not true.” He shot back, rubbing his nose against yours. “When I’m with you, you’re the center of attention for me.”

Pushing him away, you make a face. “Jeez, now you’re just being sappy and gross. All I said was that your hair is very pretty. And I also wanted to say I never want you to change it.”

Jooyeon hummed in response and propped his head up with his hand. “Is that so?”

“Yes, it’s so.”

“See and here I was thinking I was going to cut it short, like how Gunil’s hair is.”

Your eyes widened and your jaw dropped. “You better be joking.”

He laughed hysterically. “And if I’m not?”

You punched him in the shoulder and shouted, “I MEAN IT JOOYEON! YOU BETTER BE FUCKING JOKING!”

“Jeez baby!” He whined as he attempted to block your assault. “You need to relax!”

Not stopping, you say, “I SWEAR ON MY LIFE, IF YOU GO ANYWHERE NEAR SCISSORS OR CLIPPERS, I WILL HURT YOU WORSE THAN YOUR IMAGINATION CAN COME UP WITH! I WILL ACTUALLY KILL YOU!”

“OKAY OKAY OKAY!” He shouted over your threats, as he finally grabbed your hands. “I hear you. I won’t cut my hair. Although you’re making it sound like you only like me for my hair.”

Your face fell at his words and you took his face in your hands. “No, no, no! That’s not it at all! Does it make you insanely hot? Oh, absolutely. But that’s not the only thing I like about you! You’re funny and kind and passionate and considerate. I love everything about you, Jooyeon! I just happen to think your hair is your best physical feature.”

With a small chuckle, he grabbed you around the waist and pulled you close to his chest, as his head rested on your shoulder. “So you think I’m passionate, hmm?”

Again, you rolled your eyes. “I meant when you're on the stage with the rest of Xdinary Heroes. Yes, you’re a great boyfriend, but I don’t need to stroke your ego anymore than it needs to.”

“Still, you love me.” He removed his head from your shoulder and kissed you on the nose. “And I love you too.”

Pressing your lips to his, you say, “You are one lucky man for me to love you as much as I do. Although I do have one request…”

He hummed against your lips, “What might that be?”

“If you cut your hair, you’ll have to find someone else to kiss until it grows back.”

“Seriously?”

“So serious that I’m hiding all the scissors when we’re done.”

He gave a small growl and pressed his lips harder against yours. “Then I’m just going to have to make sure we’re not done anytime soon.”
