Ping Ping Ping your phone kept going off making it hard to ignore. However, you were in the bathroom and left your phone on Hyeongjun’s bed. Hyeongjun thought it might have been something important with the way it kept going off, so he decided to check your phone. Once he sees the message lighting up your screen he wished he never checked. Reading the contact name “My Baby” makes Hyeongjun feel a stabbing pain in his heart. The stabbing pain only gets worse as he reads what the messages say. “Are you coming today?” “Or not since you're hanging out with your boyfriend.” “You know you have more fun with me :)” “Ditch him for me instead?” “Pretty please???” Hyeongjun feels sick to his stomach. You were cheating on him. Was he a bad boyfriend? Did he not love you enough? Were you not happy with your relationship with him? What did he do to make you go and cheat on him?

Hyeongjun hears a flush along with the song of the bathroom door opening. He quickly places your phone back down where it originally was. He didn’t want to believe that you were cheating on him. Maybe he was misinterpreting the messages, so he thought that he would see your reaction to them.

“Your phone was going off.” He pointed to your phone.

“Oh thanks,” you say, going to pick up your phone. Hyeongjun pays close attention to your facial expressions. You look like you're thinking about something. Hyeongjun panics. Were you actually going to ditch him for whoever “My Baby” was? “Hyeongjun I’m sorry, but can I leave a bit early? My cousin wants to see me,” you tell him. Hyeongjun doesn’t buy that it’s your cousin who wants to see you. It’s whoever you're cheating on him with and you’re lying to him so easily about it. It makes the stabbing pain in his heart worsen.

“Your cousin?” Hyeongjun says.

“Yeah my cousin, they moved closer recently, so they like that we can hangout more now. I can tell them that I can’t come today though,” you said. Hyeongjun wants to believe you so bad, but why would you have your cousin saved as “My Baby”?

“No, you should go hangout with them,” Hyeongjun states.

“Are you sure?” you checked. With the way Hyeongjun feels like he’s about to fall apart. He thinks that it’s best you leave. Not that he wants you to go to “My Baby”, but can’t handle having you around him right now.

“Yeah, have fun,” he smiled.

“Thank you.” You leaned over to kiss Hyeongjun’s cheek. “I’ll talk to you later.” Hyeongjun watches as you walk out of his bedroom. Tears fall from his eyes as he hears the front door shut. He wants to be wrong, he hopes that he’s wrong. Right now all he can do is cry, feeling the throbbing pain of his heart. Hyeongjun cries himself to sleep that night.

The next time you and Hyeongjun get together Hyeongjun decides to ask you about the messages.

“Y/n can I ask you something?” Hyeongjun questioned.

“Of course what’s up?” You prompted. Hyeongjun feels his throat get tighter. It was so much harder to say it out loud.

“I-I read your messages. I know about-” He couldn’t get any more words out. With the little words that he said you thought that he must’ve been talking about the messages you exchanged with your friends about him. Talking about how he’s been more focused on his work lately and you wished he would pay a bit more attention to you, but you know how much his work means to him, so you’ll just ride it out and cling to him like a koala once he’s free again.

“Oh. Look I wanted to talk to you about that Hyeongjun, but I-”

“If you feel that way….we should break up.” Hyeongjun can’t believe he was able to get the words out of his mouth.

“What? No Hyeongjun, it's really not that serious,” you say. You knew that he cared a lot about his work, but was he really going to pick it over you?”

“How can you say it’s not that serious?” You're trying to tell him that you cheating on him wasn’t a serious thing? Hyeongjun couldn’t believe you. “Look, with how things are right now. I really think that it’s best if we break up.” Hyeongjun swears the words stung his throat as they came out.

“Hyeongjun,” you started.

“Please go y/n.” Hyeongjun can’t bear to look at you.

“But if we just gave it some time,” you tried to reason. It’s not like Hyeongjun always prioritized his work over you. He just had moments in time where he did. You were more than willing to wait this stint out, just as you had the other times.

“Time won’t fix anything, please go.” Hyeongjun wasn’t going to give you any more time to cheat on him.

“Hyeongjun-”

“Y/n please. Leave.” He sounded so hurt and so desperate that you didn’t want to hurt him anymore, so even though you felt your heart cracking as you stood up and gathered your things you let it crack. Feeling the pieces of your heart crack even more with each step you took away from Hyeongjun. As you reached the door you let out one last “I love you” even though you know you said it too softly for Hyeongjun to hear.

Hyeongjun can’t keep himself together any longer. He completely breaks down into a sobbing mess. Holding his hands over his broken heart. He keeps repeating the words I love you over and over again like a mantra.

Months later Hyeongjun’s heart still sits broken in his chest as does yours. Neither one of you is able to get over one another. How could you when your hearts were/are filled with nothing but love for each other. Because Hyeongjun couldn't even hate you when you were cheating on him. It broke his heart, but you were still the person that he loved the most. You couldn’t even resent him when he focused on work more than you. Because his passion for his work was just another thing you loved about him.

Now Hyeongjun is walking around the grocery store, getting the minimum amount of necessities he needs. He walks out with a few bags in his hands. That’s when he sees you. You’re walking towards a woman who has a young teen girl by her side.

“There’s my baby.” Hyeongjun is close enough to hear you say. My baby? You just called that young teen girl my baby?

“I’m thirteen now stop calling me baby,” the girl complained.

“You are a baby though. You’re my baby. I even have you saved to my phone as “My Baby”.” Hyeongjun realizes he made a grave mistake. You weren't cheating on him. You really had your cousin saved to your phone as “My Baby”. Hyeongjun doesn’t know if he wants to run over and apologize to you a million times or punch himself for being so stupid and cowardly. He should’ve just out right asked you who “My Baby” was. Then all of this wouldn’t have happened. The two of you would have never broken up.

It looks like Hyeongjun won’t have to decide what to do because by chance you turned your head to see Hyeongjun standing there with his grocery bags. You excused yourself away from your aunt and cousin making your way over to Hyeongjun. Hyeongjun almost wants to run away once he sees you approaching him.

“Hyeongjun?” you called him.

“I’m so sorry y/n,” he apologized and clutched onto your hand desperately.

“Hey it’s ok.” You couldn’t help but comfort him, especially when you see the tears welding up in his eyes.

“No, it’s not. I'm a horrible person. I should’ve talked to you instead of breaking up with you. I'm so sorry,” he continues to apologize.

“Let’s talk now then,” you say. It’s not like you ever wanted to break up with Hyeongjun in the first place. You were more than willing to talk to him now. Even if it is a couple months late.

You and Hyeongjun went back to his place after you shot your aunt and cousin a text explaining things. Hyeongjun set his groceries on the table then you both went over to sit on the couch.

“I’m sorry,” Hyeongjun apologizes once again.

“I’m sorry too. I shouldn’t have talked to you instead of complaining to my friends,” you say.

“Huh?” Hyeongjun lets out. What do you mean by complaining to your friends?

“The messages you read. The ones where I complained about how you were more focused on your work than me,” you explained.

“Those aren’t the messages I read,” Hyeongjun discloses. You quickly grow confused.

“What messages did you read then?” you asked.

“The ones from ‘My Baby’. They said if you were coming over or not cause you were with your boyfriend. Said that you know you have more fun with them. That you should ditch me for them,” Hyeongjun informed. Now you understand why Hyeongjun was so upset.

“You thought I was cheating on you?” you state.

“I’m sorry. I didn’t want to believe it, but the messages really made it seem like it. I wanted to confront you about it, but the words hurt too much to say and then things escalated and I broke up with you. I really regret it now though. I’m truly so sorry y/n can you please forgive me?” Hyeongjun asks. You won’t lie your hurt that Hyeongjun believed that you would cheat on him. However, given the context of things you understand why he thought that. Reading those messages from someone with the contact time “My Baby” would give the impression that you were.

“Yes, I forgive you Hyeongjun. I’m taking it that you know that “My Baby” is my baby cousin now?” you inferred.

“Yeah, I heard you call them that in the parking lot. That made me realize what a mistake I made. I ruined everything. I’m really sorry,” he apologized once again.

“Stop saying sorry,” you chuckled. “I understand Hyeognjun. I do wish you asked me about who they were out right though,” you said.

“Me too,” Hyeongjun laughed.

“So we’re all good then? We’re back together now?” you checked.

“If you’ll take me back,” Hyeongjun says.

“Of course. I never wanted to break up in the first place,” you disclosed.

“I love you,” Hyeongjun brings you in for a hug. You rest your chin over his shoulder, hugging him back.

“I love you too,” you tell him.

“I have one more question though?” Hyeingjun pulls away from the hug, but keeps his hands holding yours.

“What?” you ask, giving his hands a loving squeeze.

“What’s my contact name?” he questions. Your cheeks blossom into a pink color.

“Oh um… ‘My Husband’” you murmured out quietly. Hyeongjun’s heart swells with happiness.

“I haven’t asked you yet, but I guess you’re prepared so you don’t have to change it in the future huh?” Hyeongjun teases you lightly.

“Quiet, what’s my contact name?” you put to question.

it’s either heatwave or a blizzard, he’s the most extreme point of anything and i kinda love it, you could never get bored with him he just oozes amusement and originality he’s gonna make you laugh a lot, he’ll also make you cry a lot but Jooyeon will always be acting out of love. so the day after heavy snowfall you both have to go to work but when you’re greeted with fresh snow in your backyard you get distracted and end up in a never ending snow ball fight, you can feel your fingers falling off one by one but you’re both competitive so there’s no stopping you. you both end up falling on the pills of snow you built up and decide that the only thing left to do is make snow angels. “I can’t move anymore” you’d joke completely frozen in the snow, he’d carry you back in and at that point there was no point going in to work, you both call blaming it on the snow blocking roads and call it a day as you snuggle in on the couch. he catch a cold a couple days later and you’d take care of him till you catch his cold and he returns the favor.

but also he’s so so gentle about it

his hands sometimes are scattered with cuts and bruises, therefore are more in the calloused and harsh side

When it comes to the four of them sharing you things can get a bit messy sometimes. Complaints of another member hogging you is a common recurrence.

“You’ve been with y/n all morning and afternoon. Stop hogging them,” Jooyeon complained to Seungmin.

“We’re watching a show,” Seungmin dismissed.

“That doesn’t make it fair,” Jooyeon sulked. He plops himself beside you on the couch, practically curling up on your lap. Your hands went to card through his hair.

“This is the last episode. Just wait a bit longer then we can do something ok?” you tell him.n Jooyeon lets out a muffled sound, pressing closer against you.

You never find yourself short of receiving affections though. Especially when you find yourself sandwiched between all of them in a cuddle pile. Whether you guys are a row of spoons or a tangled mess of limbs.

“Who’s hand is touching my butt?” you asked in the mist of one of your group cuddling sessions.

“I think it’s mine. Do you feel this?” Jooyeon replied.

“No,” you answered.

“That’s my butt,” Hyeongjun stated, sounding less than impressed.

“Oh. Well I’m touching Hyeongjun’s butt. I don’t know who’s touching yours.” You guys break out into a chorus of giggles as Hyeongjun tells Jooyeon to move his hand away from his butt.

“Do you feel this?” You feel a light drumming of fingers.

“Yeah,” you say.

“Then it’s mine,” Jiseok states cheekily.

A group date has the tendency to feel more like a hangout rather than a date, but then one of them does something that reminds you that it is a date. Like Hyeongjun linking his pinky with yours or Jiseok pecking your cheek. Seungmin lacing his hand with yours, making sure that you’re not feeling too tired or Jooyeon’s hand coming to rest on your lower back as he talks to you.

Jiseok

In your poly relationship Jiseok likes to keep things a bit playful with you. The type to take you out on fun dates to try new activities, but he also enjoys staying in and being alone with you. He will “hog” you for as long as he can get away with it. Yes, he agreed to sharing you, but sometimes he just wants to cling to you. He really just wants to make you smile. It’s his goal to make you smile everytime you see him. He puts your happiness before everything else. If you ever come to him feeling sad he’ll do whatever it takes to make you happy again.

O.de/Seungmin

Seungmin takes on a bit more of a nurturing role in your poly relationship. Things can get a bit chaotic at times and he somehow found himself being the one to try and manage it (When he isn't contributing to it himself that is). When he’s with you he likes to relax and keep things simple. He likes to take you on cute cafe dates or for a stroll in the park. He always looks out for your well being. Reminding you to eat and drink or to take a break and rest. Your number one forehead kisser.

Junhan/Hyeongjun

He’s very sweet and more laid back in your relationship. Sometimes he might feel a bit insecure when he thinks about you with the others, but it’s not because he’s jealous. He just worried that he might not treat you “well enough”. He thinks his dates with you might be more boring. Which definitely isn’t the case. He’ll play his guitar and maybe even sing to you. He likes to watch shows. He also likes to cook with you, whether you’re good at it or not. Had to do the thing where his hands guide yours while you cut something (even if it made him a blushing mess).

Jooyeon

He is always excited to hang out with you. Literally doesn't matter what you’re doing as long as you’re with him he’s happy. He would try to convince you to game with him at some point, but if you’re bad at it or simply not up for it you can find yourself situated in his lap instead. He likes stay-in dates with you, but is also totally up for going outside. He particularly likes going out on late night adventures with you. Stopping by a convenience store then exploring the city as you share snacks together. Number one complainer about not getting to spend enough time with you.
