Writing Positivity Tag!!!
Wasn't tagged, but again saw this game and loved it.
What do you take pride in with your own writing?
Hmmm... probably the plots. Because I really like the ideas and concepts I come up with. I mean, the Bruce Wayne writes fanfic au? I'm still blown away by it.
Did you have any big inspirations from another writeblr?  Who and how?
Ughhhhhh. I have so many. But the biggest ones? @cygnusdoesthings because of her, i'm still writing right now. Cuz the comments she put on My School’s Local Mafia Boss and then the recordings was what made me really, truly, well and fully realize that there were actual people who were saying all those stuff behind the comments. And also she has helped me a whole lot through so much.
@tristicorde cuz i go to her every time i feel low about my writing or about posting something and she always - always - knows the right things to say. Thats because the things she says are just facts. Not reassurances made up for the sole purpose of reassuring, but facts that reassure me. Also, her descriptive style of writing is something i strive to achieve 😭
@wakkoroni It's because of Vibes that I have as many crackfics as i do now (wips and posted). We have such a time and vibe just spouting out shitposts to each other in conversations, as well as incorrect quotes and hypotheses and hcs about the batfam, it is impossible to spend even 5 minutes with her and not get inspired to write or create something.
@sardonic-sprite because the first real fic i wrote (Ya Dun Fucked Up) was inspired by her Harbor. Her fics are the ultimate comfort, the ultimate hurt, the ultimate angst, the ultimate crack, and the ultimate family bonding. If you don't at least appreciate them, you don't appreciate anything.
That was a long answer. Anyways, moving on! (oh, special mention @uncertainwallflower cuz she helped me get past a very incredibly super-awful severe case of writer's block once)
What are you most proud of in your current WIP?
LMAO. WHICH WIP? 🤣
K the main one i'm focusing on rn is the tim gets kidnapped fic co-written with Vibey. And two things i'm most proud of in there are: a) how well mine and vibey's ideas just meld into each other b) the sheer amount of angst sprinkled throughout the fic. It's awesome. I love it.
What is your idea of a perfect day of writing?
Uhhh. I have chocolate milk or boba. I'm sitting at my desk instead of the beanbag cuz the desk is actually clear for once. I'm hyperfocusing as i write and don't notice the time pass by and don't have any pressuring due dates for school and everyone at home is sleeping and the sun is sending its rays through my window and shining on my hair making it go the cool brown color i love as i'm tip-tapping away at my computer. It happened once. I was writing the angstiest thing i had ever written at the time and was shaking. It was glorious.
What’s your big goal with writing?
That I never treat it like a chore. Ig thats more of a wish than a goal.
Then ig a goal would be to make it mean as much to someone else as it does to me. Or for people to just have a blast and let go of their worries and take a break as they read my stuff. But the goal that will never leave is to improve. I take one thing and work on it one by one until it's to my satisfaction. Currently, i'm working on describing settings.

Five things I like about writing
Thanks @winterandwords for the tag!
Rules: share five things you love about writing!
Uncovering the mysteries of who my OCs are and what the stories are about. Although I lean more towards being a planner, it's mainly for larger stuff. As I get closer and closer to understanding my story, I love it when it takes a new direction or I figure out a new detail!
Revising. It's my favorite part of the writing process. I do enjoy drafting, but the act of making something better is so satisfying. Every time I change a word or a small phrase I feel so much better!
People are reading TSP! I love getting feedback because people are engaging with my story and helping me make it better! It helps me learn what I'm doing right and what needs work. And helps with #1-2 and oftentimes a new perspective helps uncover my story and helps revise.
My OCs. God I love them so so so much!!! Tying into #1, I love learning more about them! But mostly, it's just them! I've worked hard to make them distinct, and it's paying off! Every time I add something new to benefit their character, I love them even more!
The community I've formed here. I love the little comments I get from everyone, and I love when I get asks that make me think really hard about TSP. I've figured out many obvious things as I've answered. Sometimes I get a question I never thought of and I have to make something up on the spot, and I end up doing work I never knew I needed to do! Which also ties into #1.
Tagging @gracehosborn @illarian-rambling @mk-writes-stuff @little-peril-stories @buffythevampirelover @eccaiia @badluck990 @elsie-writes @mysticstarlightduck @sarahlizziewrites @cowboybrunch @melpomene-grey @drchenquill @sleepywriter00 @awritingcaitlin @rjcopeseethemald @leahnardo-da-veggie @i-can-even-burn-salad + anyone else who wants to hop on!

Writer Positivity Tag
Thanks for the mention Mother Dearest @sleepyowlwrites ♥️
What motivates you to write?
I have been possessed by brain gremlins. They won't leave my alone even when I try to take a break. I breathe and beat my heart for them. They've become my whole existence (aka brooding sad bois that I like to torment)
A line/short snippet of your writing that you are most proud/happy of. If not, maybe share a line of someone else's work you love (just please credit them):
He pushed himself away from the wall and reached for the door handle. “Wait,” she said softly. “Will you stay with me? For a little while at least?” She didn’t want to be alone, but she also didn’t want to have to pretend like she was okay. She couldn’t hide her pain from him, and a way that made his presence comforting. Under different circumstances he would have laughed.
Which OC makes you smile every time you think/talk about them, and what are they like?
Gram is a delight in absolutely every way. Nix may be my favorite boy to torment but Gram makes me smile the most. He is everything. He is funny and caring and a rebel and reckless and sees the best in people and makes as many bad decisions as Nix but calls Nix a dumbass but he really means to say "I love you like a brother and also like a son and I'm worried about you".
What process of writing do you enjoy the most?
My OCs, if that wasn't obvious. I love developing and figuring out what makes them tick. I love when background characters become blorbos.
I also enjoy writing dialogue and angsty scenes.
What part of writing do you think you are the best at? (Yes stroke your own ego it's okay)
I think I'm best as writing characters and dialogue.
What is something in the writeblr community that is most enjoyable?
Talking about the blorbos in our brains. I love seeing other people talk about their characters as love as I talk about my own. I love when their OCs are my blorbos and my OCs are theirs.
I also love tagging my friends in random things that remind me of them or that I think they might like.
A writing tool/device you use that helps you with writing? (It could be speech to text, a writing program etc)
Scrivener is amazing but I wish there was a better way to use it on multiple devices or use it on my phone (I don't have the mobile version and it seems there's a lot of problems syncing between computer and phone).
Notes app on my phone my beloved.
This writing exercises website has been invaluable to me. Dialogue prompts my beloved.
Tag some people whose works you love/have been your biggest supporters:
Oh gee that would be an incredibly long list.

Writer Positivity Tag
I've been tagged by the brilliant @blind-the-winds! Thanks for the tag! I'm going to also steal the idea to put the no pressure tags into one of the questions.
Now, onto the questions!
What motivates you to write?
It's fun! I've always really enjoyed stories, so it's fun to try my hand at making my own. I really enjoy putting a bunch of characters in a Situation and exploring what happens.
But, I'm also more motivated to write when there's a task to procrastinate on. I usually get most of my writing done when I supposed to have a thesis I'm working on.
A line/short snippet of your writing that you are most proud/happy of. If not, maybe share a line of someone else's work you love (just please credit them):
I'm currently really happy with this bit I wrote for To Not Falling Off Cliffs:
Steve had made many friends over the centuries. He couldn’t help it. Someone entered his life, grew to like them and then he couldn’t imagine it any other way. He had no lips, so Steve could not smile, but whenever he saw them, he felt his jaw shift in way he could not help. Thoughts about his work were drowned out by ones that if were not pleasant, were at least wanted. He found himself making excuses to be near them, his spirits lifting in their presence. He wanted nothing more than for them to be well. It wasn’t falling in love – Steve never fell in love – but it was something more. Something that went without courtship and ritual, something that demanded nothing of the flesh. A simple bond that rang truer than anything else.
Which OC makes you smile every time you think/talk about them, and what are they like?
All of them? Like each one makes me smile for different reasons. I'll focus on the protagonists from To Not Falling Off Cliffs.
Erika is the one human protagonist. She loves music and old movies. She is also trying her best. She's the kind of person who will look upon eldritch horrors and go "Hmm, this is just like math class."
Steve is one of the reaper protagonists. He is a bit of a tragic character in that the souls he reaps were of those who died slow painful deaths of very preventable causes but he's not allowed to do anything about said causes, as that is "altering Fate." But he tries anyways and is willing to risk his existence on it.
Tiffany is the other reaper protagonist. She's the closest thing reapers have to a celebrity, as she wears entirely gold and has a very distinctive appearance. She's super smart and organized, but also stubborn. She's a bit of a stickler to the rules, but when those rules start harming, she'll break them.
What process of writing do you enjoy the most?
The writing part? I'm a pantser, so I get to see the story develop as I'm writing. Something I find enjoyable is seeing a scene go into a completely different direction than I expected as I'm typing it up and then getting to explore that direction.
What part of writing do you think you are the best at? (Yes stroke your own ego it's okay)
I have a hard time figuring out what I'm good and bad at, so this is a bit of a tough question to answer.
I think plot? I'm just usually kinda happy with the way the plots of my stories turn out.
What is something in the writeblr community that is most enjoyable?
Getting to see everyone else's writing! I enjoy reading the little snippets that get posted for tag games and seeing how writing styles vary. When available, I also enjoy reading the fully written stories, though I haven't read as much as I would like to due to time.
A writing tool/device you use that helps you with writing? (It could be speech to text, a writing program etc)
My keyboard! It is very clacky. Plus I got it setup so that I can swap between American, British, and Canadian Multilingual with just a pair of keystrokes.
A piece of worldbuilding that you like in your own story? (It could be the magic system, a particular place in the story, a law, etc)
I had a lot of fun doing worldbuilding for To Not Falling Off Cliffs, so there's a lot I like. I guess my current favourite bit of worldbuilding is that life on Earth got started accidentally; some god decided to knit some amino acids for fun, made the first cell, and then got distracted by a neutron star and forgot about it the same way one forgets about tupperware in the fridge.
Tag some people whose works you love/have been your biggest supporters:
I love @winterandwords's writing! It has a strong sense of character voice. I'm currently reading her novel, Bridge from Ashes and it's really good!
I also adore @loopyhoopywrites writing! The tone and descriptions are amazing and super well done! I think Trickster is my favourite character, though they're all great.
I also love @spuddlespud's writing! Super fun characters and scenarios! I especially adore the A Worker's Guide to Demonology snippets.
I also adore @emelkae's writing! I read WANNABE a while back and loved it! Love the characters and concept and everything. I get excited whenever I see bits related to it on my dashboard.
I also love @chauceryfairytales's writing! I especially love the descriptions and worldbuilding. Yuni questing to find bees is an amazing plot!
I also adore @blind-the-winds's writing! I enjoy hearing about Mick and Eleanor and all the stuff they wind up getting into.

Quiz tag game
Thank you so much for tagging me @literary-tori to take this quiz about my writing.
Down below is my result and to be honest, it hits home way too hard like this might be the best description of my writing style and me as a writer out there. I think I’m about to cry …
Frostbite Writers
The impossible writer. A walking contradiction, so beautiful, with pain wrapped all wound you. Your characters taste the best and worst of this world, just like you did. And they get hurt, covered in scars and with their heart in pieces, but they keep walking, pain in their eyes and in their every step. But just like your characters, you don't give up. Everything hurts, but you still go on.
Your stories are deep, sometimes the reader needs to read through the lines, sometimes not, but the feelings you describe linger in your reader's hearts for long. You're able to leave a print. Usually you write stories that carry with them the burden you had to carry, but when you write about a pure love, your readers will find the comfort of a hug from a loved one.
You're passionate, love hard and forever. Frostbite Writers tasted the bitter of life, and know how to keep immortal a feeling. Your stories will make your reader lose themselves in another universe, and when they come back, something will be changed forever.
I’m tagging @holdenmarrswritings @charlies-storybook @mkmoondust @naiyawrites @caprifoi @mortallynuttyqueen @writinglyra @captain-kraken ah I’m so excited to see your results!

Writer Positivity Tag [ 01 ]
hello and how are you?
We are diving into the Hoard of Tag Games we have still and pulling out random ones and we have another winner for this wonderful day!
Thank you to the wonderful @andromedaexists for the tag! You can find his response right here! :D
Rules? Question Time Baby!
Tagging with no pressure: anyone we tag within the tag game itself! and obviously, an open tag for whoever wants a fun thing to do! Don't be afraid, our tag games are free game for any and all! c:
Tumblr media
What motivates you to write?
Both the encouragement of other people - our people and those who are close to us - and ourselves. We have been having a hard time shifting our focus and encouragement but we do want to learn to write for ourselves again.
And a lot of that motivation will come with self-inserts, fanfics, and just random and silly writes that are for us and those we call our Beloveds. (♡´❍`♡)*✧ ✰+ 。
A line / short snippet of your writing that you are most proud / happy of. If not, maybe share a line of someone else's work you love (just please credit them):
We have quite a bit of happy / proud writes, but we think we will pull from our Work, Mitch's Journals, for this one.
He watches the scribe, notes how easily he swirls words onto the page. It makes him glance at his work, noting the scribbles that are tinted with doubt and inexperience. He frowns, eyes going back to Corinth as he tries to memorize the way he holds the quill, how he guides his hands along the page. And then the man is looking at him, Mitch blinking before he tilts his head at him. Corinth smiles, an easy thing that isn’t held back by much of anything. He calls for him with a wave and Mitch doesn’t think twice before he is leaping, easily dropping next to the man as waiting patiently. Corinth blinks, a soft chuckle bubbling up as he shakes his head. “I will never get used to that.” Mitch hums, a small sliver of emotion rolling through before he focuses on Corinth. Words bubble up but they sit in his throat, unsaid and unnoticed by the scribe.
We explore and experience so much from Mitch, we love all of the words we can garner from our favorite Observer. (◍•ᴗ•◍)♡ ✧*。
Which OC makes you smile every time you think / talk about them and what are they like?
Honestly, the one Character that hits those notes has to be the one that we actually ended up making an Intro Post for: our gentle king, Neal Anderson.
He is just... he is what we want with our Characters and our Worlds. He has come and grown and given ourselves over to him - he is also born from one of our alters, so he holds a very special place along with everyone else - and he is something of a wonderful Being.
If we could be given over to any character within the Storyverse, it would have to be Neal.
What process of writing do you enjoy the most?
We think we enjoy all of the parts of the writing process at times, with ebbs and flows with every thought. We also, of course, end up hating all of the parts of writing as well. It is obviously just what our brain and motivation and wanderlust mind is focused on.
Sometimes, we love characters and worldbuilding, sometimes we just want to write for days, and there are times when we are lost in the Void and do no want to be found at any point in the near future.
Just depends, we guess. (≧∇≦)/
What part of writing do you think you are the best at? (Yes stroke your own ego it's okay)
For ourselves, we think we can write emotions pretty well? We like to write them and make words mean certain things, or different things, or try to give more weight to one emotion over others with different contexts. We like using words in multiple ways.
For others, we probably can write things out pretty well. We do get a lot of compliments on how we write things, and how we end up giving words and thoughts meanings. So we guess we're doing good things if we can write and mean it. (❁´▽`❁)*✲゚
What is something in the writeblr community that is most enjoyable?
Honestly love the way things are just open and waiting for others to come and go. You can slip in and enjoy your experience and even if you end up dropping off, you can come back and people will still easily bring you back.
We have loved being able to be a Being of Humanity within the Writing Community. It is not like a celebrity making their grand entrance once again; it is simply an old friend dropping down on the well worn couch and being able to warm up with everyone else, no expectations demanded.
A writing tool/device you use that helps you with writing? (It could be speech to text, a writing program etc)
It would be have to be both Scrivener and the writing bots within Discord.
Scrivener is wonderful bc we can organize everything that we need and want to how we need and want to organize it. And we can tweak and copy and get our own things going and set goals and do all of the things we want to with it. And it is allows us to add fonts and scripts and displays and colors and it is just... a wonderful investment.
The Discord Bots help us with writing. We actually have a specific server - North Haven, our Beloved - that we love sprinting in. And it is bc the bot is shown as a beloved OC of our wonderful @lockejhaven. It definitely helps us, bc we feel like we are with people and doing things and that is thanks to both the server and our lovely friend.
A piece of worldbuilding that you like in your own story? (It could be the magic system, a particular place in the story, a law etc)
We think the thing that make us super happy with our Worldbuilding is that mostly everything is entirely connected. The Worlds, the Beings, the Beasts, the Monsters, the Magicks, are all connected and similar throughout the Storyverse.
And a lot of the Worlds who are aware of their place within the Storyverse, are aware of the other Worlds.
We even have ourselves a Galaxy Gateway, that connects the Worlds and the Void, and the Galaxies, and everything.
We are very proud of ourselves to allowing our Worlds and Ideas to be connected. Everyone knows of Magicks as Magicks, and everyone knows of the Beasts and Beings as the Beasts and Beings.
And Monsters do precede themselves in the worst way possible.

Writeblr Positivity tag
This tag came from @aether-wasteland-s, so thank you for including me in this game!
Passing it along with shoutouts rather than tags at the end of the QnA
What motivates you to write? I gotta get it out of my head, man (neutral). It’s in there like a splinter and writing it is the only way to keep it from festering, it’s the only way I can move on to a new OC or scenario to obsess over.
A line/short snippet of your writing that you are most proud/happy of. If not, maybe share a line of someone else's work you love (just please credit them) To say the sun shone brightly would be an insult to the brilliance of the rays that day. (^ this is the opening line to a random WIP I’ve not really shared anything from, that being due to the fact that I never got very far in that particular WIP. I wrote it around 2am several years ago, then fell asleep, and when I woke up, I had no memory of writing it.)
Which OC makes you smile every time you think/ talk about them and what are they like? Going with a non-MC here, I’m gonna say Mickey from my Castle series. He’s a goof. He’s a top-notch fighter. He’s one of their elitist elites. He’s wholly smitten with another character, very obvious about his puppy love, but thinks she has no idea. He’s the type who people look up to with admiration as he walks by, but in his head, he’s thinking about how tiny baby mice are and trying not to cry over it. He's failing at not crying.
What process of writing do you enjoy the most? Seeing your rotisserie chicken finally down on paper, be it digital or otherwise. It’s relieving and exciting and you wanna shove it in everyone’s faces but at the same time you’d probably rather die than share it.
What part of writing do you think you are the best at? (Yes, stroke your own ego it's okay) Characters first. Dialogue second. It’s been that way since I first started writing and has never changed. I’ve been told multiple times that my characters are by far my strongest point.
I’ll admit I’m inclined to agree, and honestly, I’d prefer this being my writing strength. Characters are the most important aspect of a story when I read or watch anything, so it makes sense that priority translates to my own work.
What is something in the writeblr community that is most enjoyable? The camaraderie. It’s just a big, supportive family (that I’ve been absent from lately oops just consider me the eccentric aunt who swoops in and throws tags everywhere like presents at christmas and then disappears again until next year lmao)
A writing tool/device you use that helps you with writing? (It could be speech to text, a writing program, etc) I’ll be honest, I don’t really use writing tools. If I need to jot anything down, I use a notebook. My key writing tool would probably be Spotify lmao
A piece of worldbuilding that you like in your own story? (It could be the magic system, a particular place in the story, a law, etc) I mean, I have talking animals. That’s the bee’s knees.
What piece of advice would you say to encourage others to write if they are having a rough patch? Why not write? Nothing gets easier by not doing it.
Tag some people whose works you love/have been your biggest supporters! I am 100% gonna forget some people in this and I apologize wholeheartedly. My memory is not as good as my forgottery. @marinesocks, @fearofahumanplanet, @wildjuniperjones, @andromedaexists, @cljordan-imperium, @breath-of-eternity, @smol-feralgremlin, @saltysupercomputer, and so many others

writeblr positivity tag!
tagged by the lovely @serenanymph here! tysm!
no-pressure tagging @saltwaterbells @memento-morri-writes @sam-glade and @loopyhoopywrites <3
1. What motivates you to write?
The desperate urge to read about the characters and situations in my brain. If I don’t write them nobody will. I am trapped in a hell of ‘if I want content for my OC’s I have to make it’ and I simply cannot type fast enough.
2. A line/short snippet of your writing that you are most proud/happy of. If not maybe share a line of someone else's work you love (just please credit them)
Recency bias is showing, but honestly this bit from feel me from the inside still makes me happy. (that fic is a vivisection dead dove thing, read at your own risk)
After an age, the pain is nothing but a faint ache, dysphorically familiar—he hasn’t felt like this since he was Xunhrae, though even on her worst days she never suffered so intensely.
I just really like writing trans bits into my characters narrations. I have two trans mains in my two fic series rn, and I have not anywhere ever said the words ‘they are trans’ explicitly, it’s all implication and more subtle references. and i like it that way. (also i apparently did a good enough job of telegraphing how trans ashenivir was that fox clocked him before anything was mentioned which is perfection to me. that boy is pure transmasc magic.)
3. Which OC makes you smile every time you think/talk about them and what are they like?
Now normally I would be insert Sorrow here, but @lawful-evil-novelist has recently bestowed Rhylfein Dyrr upon the blorbo-rotator in my brain. He’s a drow, the spare body for a lich, and knows it. He’s pretty (he’s got long red hair and i just. pretty) and violent and has so many issues he, like all my blorbo’s, is not going to deal with.
He has been immediately shipped with my boy Vizaeth and now they both have something in the vicinity of a relationship resembling healthy and it makes me so happy. Also they have opposite kinks and it’s really funny.
4. What process of writing do you enjoy the most?
Second drafts. First drafting is super fun, but second drafting is fun, and also a puzzle, and also it’s when the story for me starts to actually take on the shape it’s meant to have. I know the characters, I know what I want it to look like, and I have the stabilisers of pre-written stuff to get me started/keep me going when I’m stuck. It’s like refining a sketch: I did the hard part of blocking it in, and now I get to make the shapes fun.
5. What part of writing do you think you are the best at? (Yes stroke your own ego it's okay)
Lately it’s consistent metaphors. I’ve been doing a lot of editing, and picking and applying specific types of description to fully realise a theme and motif in a fic or a chapter is very satisfying, and I think I’m pretty good at it.
Also dialogue. I’m great at dialogue.
6. What is something in the writeblr community is most enjoyable?
The community! When I made this blog a couple months ago i was dead certain it would be me, my handful of beloved loyal fic readers, and maybe a couple bots. I have been blown away at how welcoming everyone is, and by the level of creativity constantly on display. It’s like a free inspiration machine logging in to see everyone’s work every day!
7. A writing tool/device you use that helps you with writing? (It could be speech to text, a writing program etc)
have i mentioned obsidian yet? :p
i also use the free version of pro writing aid but honestly i spend more time arguing with it than accepting its advice, so at this point it doesn’t count as that helpful.
8. A piece of worldbuilding that you like in your own story? (It could be the magic system, a particular place in the story, a law etc)
infernii my beloved.
also actually, yeah, my magic system. I like that it’s simple but fun. I like playing with components for my spellcasters!
9. What piece of advice would you say to encourage others to write if they are having a rough patch?
take a break. take a walk, take a nap, get a snack. five minutes. a week. I know you don’t want to, but you’re going to get through this with way less pain if you step away from it. If it’s a writing problem, chances are you’ll solve it the minute you step away from the words. If it’s a life problem, you need the energy to deal with it. Take a nap. The words will be there when you come back.
10. Tag some people whose works you love/have been your biggest supporters
@foxboyclit has been screaming in my inbox about my fic for months now, and is the best possible cheerleader. im putting you in the dedication for this book, bestie, you can’t stop me
@lawful-evil-novelist has hands down some of the best visual concept writeups ever, and working on fic with her/hearing about her fantasy wip inspired me to pick mine back up. i would not have written half as much this year without you
@britta-ashcroft has been like. the og #1 fan for obedience, and also yells about half the other stuff i write with such enthusiasm that i want to write more purely to cause more yelling. im sorry for inflicting so many terrible, unhinged boys upon you (← lying)

Final Thoughts On 2022 and Positivity Tag
It makes me so happy that I joined the writing community. I am just so happy to make friends. Everyone I've met in this community has been so kind! I can't wait to get know everyone better! I have been messaging a few of you. And I hope we can become good friends in the new year. 😊
I've been bullied a lot and I had no friends. But I'm happy that things seem to be changing for me.
I struggled with my mental health a lot in 2022. I have depression and anxiety.
I just hope things get better in 2023.
Happy new year!

Five things I like about writing
Thanks @elsie-writes for the tag!
Already did this but let's see if I can think of other things
I used to hate world building, but I like it so much now! It was a lot of work and it was daunting. But the more I do it, the more I love it! Figuring out the details of Alium makes me so happy. It's like it's becoming clearer and clearer.
I love getting ideas!! For world building, characters, plot, etc. Just every time I figure out a new piece of the puzzle, or a thought to make something just slightly more interesting, I get so happy! Ecstatic!
I really love the community I have built here. It helps me see my WIPs and OCs in a new light. I get ideas from answering questions I never thought of. Or if I have, I become forced to think harder for an answer. I've learned so much about Alium and my OCs this way. It's encouraged me to do new things. Just because I got an ask or a tag!
I think I said my OCs last time, but I can't help it! I love developing their characters and learning more about them! I love smashing characters together for a scene, exploring different dynamics, and creating arcs for everyone. TSP and SOTL have way too many characters, but I don't care. It's part of the fun!
I said revising last time, but making my story better and improving my skills is just so good! I love feeling like I'm getting better.
I'll tag softly @somethingclevermahogony @lesleymoonwriter @leahnardo-da-veggie @theeccentricraven or anyone who sees this :)

Favorite Snippets Tag Game
I figured some lighthearted fun would be nice on our dashboards. So here goes:
Rules: Share a snippet of something you wrote recently that you're proud of, or that you really like. Then tag some mutuals to spread the fun.
From The American Icarus: Volume I
Seeming to gain a mind of their own, my hands reached out in swift movement, holding steady upon the fellow’s approach. With a smile, my captain-lieutenant carefully lowered the sword—my sword—in a horizontal manner into my outstretched hands, whilst he held the leather belt in haste. Looking down at the sight, the feeling of pride having found me within Mr. Thompson’s shop returned with a powerful force. In the bright sunlight, the grooves and small folds of the black sheath made fine contrast with the green grass beneath my feet. A sudden caution took up my hands, yet pride and excitement held chiefly, guiding my left hand to remain firm, as my right grabbed hold of the brass hilt and retracted the blade. As the bright, polished steel was exposed to the Sun, a streak found reason to form along the farther edge of the sword as was only natural. Measuring just under a yard in accordance to what I had read of it, the saber shined with a grand presence removed in full from her sheath. To surprise, the weapon felt light in my hand, and with some ease I lifted it slowly; amazement crafting a sense of grand possibility in the action. Between my fingers, a series of risen grooves rose from the brass of the hilt, four in number, creating a spiral which raced down from the simply-crafted lion head pommel and ended at the base of the horizontal guard, as well made of the fine brass. As a means of protection, a curved bar extended outward from the base of the pommel to the guard, creating a crescent shaped gap meant for my hand of which in facing me, created a small shadow upon my shoes. Turning the inside of the hilt downward, a smile took up my expression at being attended to the face of the little lion—the brass color of its metal causing blotches of sunlight to form upon the curves of its eyes. In the quiet which had fallen upon the scene, Moore’s sudden chuckle pushed my gaze to lift towards him with the speed of a startle. “You act as though you have never seen a sword before,” he said in a teasing fashion. “Well, I have certainly never held one.” The admission sent a small flash of awareness to dissuade pride from pushing my movement further, causing my hands to quickly lower and place my new acquisition into her sheath once more.
I really love this moment. Sure it could use some work, but I love how I managed to capture a bit of wonder here. And honestly, I could say that about the chapter this is apart of. The set up of Hamilton stepping into his new role as captain of an artillery company was meant to receive page time, and I really like how i convey his reaction to that in this scene.
From Ink of Destruction
My gaze fell to the books now in my hands. Lifting The Song of Achilles, I was greeted by Stephen King’s 11/22/63—the thick alternate history of a time-traveler attempting to stop the assassination of President Kennedy pressing the remaining books with strain against my palm. The sight caused me to glance up with curiosity. Seeing Lenna had noticed the cover as well, I watched as a flash of realization raced across her blue eyes, made noticeably brighter by the dozens of lamps which hung from the high ceiling. “It would be insane if that were real.” “Time travel? Or the events of the novel?” “Both. I can’t imagine having the power to change the past.” Adjusting the books in my hands, I pulled my attention towards the nearest set of escalators, gesturing with my shoulder in their direction. “Me neither. That’s the joy of fiction—creating worlds where things that simply can’t be invented here, exist.” Walking in front of me as we finally neared the tall transportation mechanism, Lenna stepped upon the escalator and turned her head behind her shoulder to face me. “That’s true. Maybe it would be neat if someone went into the past and got rid of the SAT. That day was almost too long—it dragged on forever.” I found myself letting out a small laugh at her comment despite the dull fog that hung over me. Now eye-level with me upon the escalator, I could clearly see the satisfaction that filled Lenna’s expression at having finally made me laugh since the night of my mother’s death two weeks earlier. I allowed for the smile that had toyed with my expression to grow slightly larger as I spoke. “Surely the exam was not that bad. Tedious, but not horrendous.” “But you—“ Lenna’s quick reply was cut short by the hum of the escalator in beckoning her to step off onto the second floor. “Took it in two hours, right? That was super smart of you. It took me nearly four hours. If people could just see how much of a waste it is, maybe college admissions wouldn’t be so skewed. That might be my answer: go back and try to change their minds.” “You’re too idealistic,” I teased, taking the hand reached out to me—although I could have easily stepped across the barrier separating the rotating steps and grey carpet. “But you do make a point. If there be anything at all, I would consider erasing my shift. Or having to apply for this job in the first place.”
I've been working on revisions, and one of my main goals is to give my characters more moments together to deepen their dynamics, and honestly for that reason I like this little exchange that I got to add. It’s also funny in the hindsight of the plot, but I’m not going to expound or I’ll spoil the insanity. But I really like Lenna and Alexandra’s dynamic and have thoughts about doing a proper character introduction or something along those liness, if anyone is interested.

💕 self-love time! talk about which ones of YOUR creations (edits, artworks, fanfics) you like the most then send to other creators to do the same 💕
TORIIIII I love you so much 😭❤️❤️
It's honestly hard for me to pick, because I've genuinely enjoyed writing so many of them (even if they weren't my best work), but I decided to go with a top 3 (in random order)
Peony (Peggysous)
This is a fic I wrote for the first Peggysous Week (back in 2020!!) and I think it was semi-recently after I first watched Endgame and was SO MAD with the scene at the end with Steve and Peggy that I decided to take the chance to write something that still fit with Marvel's new established canon and didn't break up my otp 😂 I'm still super happy with how it turned out, and I think it's a sweet and heartfelt fic that I really enjoyed writing (so thank you for enabling me to lmao)
2. The Undead Scourge (The Originals x Harry Potter)
This I'm pretty sure was born out of a one-off Wattpad comment on a longer story I've written there that's not on Tumblr, something along the lines of "I wonder how the Mikaelsons would react to Rita Skeeter's anti-vampire article" and I decided that was a very fun and funny prompt and made this lol. I still enjoy rereading this one and it feels like such a random crossover but it was super fun to write and at least in my opinion is super fun to read
3. The Dread Pirate Roberts (Westley (Princess Bride) x Reader)
This is one of my newest fics that I wrote for the Year of Themed Creation (it's my March entry) but I just had SO much fun writing it (clearly there's a theme in what makes something a favorite for me lol). I've loved The Princess Bride since I was a kid and Westley was one of my OG childhood crushes, so getting to write a fun story set in that world that includes story-typical epic romance with Westley (especially when there's not a lot of that out there for him) was great, and I think it turned out pretty good too
Going back through all my old works really made me smile (most of the time) while I was doing this positivity boost, so thank you Tori!! It was a really fun challenge, and it made me fall back in love with some of my old writing, which is always a much-needed nice feeling. Tagging some mutuals, but any writers or creators who see this, PLEASE do it! Gotta spread the creator self-love 😄❤️
No pressure tags: @ghostofskywalker (I saw somebody already re-sent this to you but I don't care, I wanna see at least one more honorable mention if you're up for it ❤️) @arttheclown-coveredinblood @hellotvshowtrash @auroracalisto @space-helen @madame-fear @startrekkingaroundasgard @oonajaeadira @valkyriepirate

Joy tag game
So basically I'm supposed to make a list of things that recently made me happy. Then tag people. I don't even remember people's usernames so that should be interesting.
1- Oh I bought cake and these little chocolate covered cake bites. It was delicious.
2- I went out yesterday. I got some Indian Pakistani food. The restaurant is both but I don't know if that means the meals are just 1 or if the chef combines both cultures. Either way, very good.
3- I'm making progress on my map projects. Very exciting.
4- Oh a band I like released new merch. The new thing I ordered looks so cool.
5- I've made progress on my mental health. I let go of some anger related to traumatic events. It was a big and freeing step for me.
6- My eyesight is continuing to make slight progress. The hope lives on.
7- oh I had a new epiphany for my series 3. One to help me implement an aspect very important to me in a (I think) much more effective way. So that I can express more and hopefully connect with more readers who experienced the same and want to see more variation and mentions in stories.
Like I said, I don't know usernames so anyone who sees this who wants to give it a shot, I choose you.

Writeblr positivity (tag game)
Thanks for tagging me @writernopal this took me too long to answer but it was good to think about these questions.
1. What motivates you to write?
The urge to ban all my ideas onto paper. And kind comments on my writing posts, of course!
2. A line/short snippet of your writing that you are most proud/happy of. If not, maybe share a line of someone else's work you love (just please credit them): This snippet is from this flash fiction written from the pov of the phoenix Fox. I won't attempt to translate it because I'm afraid most metaphors would be lost in translation.
3. Which OC makes you smile every time you think/ talk about them and what are they like?
Dietbert Siegfrieden, the funny dwarf, makes me smile when I write scenes from his pov and talk about him. He is such a gullible dwarf with a pure heart. Dietbert always tries his best to make his family and every being he meets laugh out loud. He is my only real feelgood character, compared to all my other characters who are morally grey. Of course, I love all my characters and talking about them never fails to make me feel happy.
4. What process of writing do you enjoy the most?
When ideas I had in mind for long spontaneously burst out when writing scenes or a poem and start to make sense. I usually set a timer and then just write, without thinking too much about the plot and other stuff that might hold me back from writing.
5. What part of writing do you think you are the best at? (Yes stroke your own ego it's okay)
Writing dialogue comes easy to me which dates back to my school's drama club for which I've written several scripts, some even were performed on stage. I just love sassy or emotional dialogue! I think it's what I can write best. Writing poetry for 10 years also makes me confident in writing flowery metaphors.
6. What is something in the writeblr community that is most enjoyable?
The ongoing support of readers and interaction with fellow writers, especially in my found(ed) writing family @writeblrcafe.
7. A writing tool/device you use that helps you with writing? (It could be speech to text, a writing program etc)
For my ya fantasy novel, I'm using Bibisco which is a great software to organize my novel. I highly recommend it!
8. A piece of worldbuilding that you like in your own story? (It could be the magic system, a particular place in the story, a law etc)
The magic of all creatures living in the forest Avni is derived from pantheism. Yggdrasil is the oldest tree in the forest and sentient. All creatures of the forest are connected to Yggdrasil and worship it as the creator of all life and protector of the forest. On another note, I don’t have a strict magic system, but the different species have different kinds of magical powers and these powers are believed to come from the forest itself. When the forest dies, all mystical creatures like elves, dwarfs and giants are left helplessly without their magic and of course all animals and plants lose their habitat or even lives. Avni will also become the centre of conflict in my story, when the humans seek out to destroy Avni by cutting down trees, poisoning rivers and burn the vegetation to build more factories and houses.
9. What piece of advice would you say to encourage others to write if they are having a rough patch?
The world needs to hear your stories, so write them. And even if only one person reads your story and gains a new perspective, it was worth writing it, because you have changed the life of someone with your words, and what's more powerful than that?
10. Tag some people whose works you love/have been your biggest supporters
I'm tagging @charlies-storybook @yvesdot @writinglyra @junypr-camus @silent-creed @retrogayyde @ashirisu @holdenmarrswritings @aether-wasteland-s @betweenthetimeandsound @wheres-all-the-tea-gone @tyne-sharrow (sorry it took me so long to post and thanks to everyone who took the time to read my answers)

Hi Mr Gaiman!
I always thought if I were to message you it would be about writing advice or to say something nice about your books/media, but I just woke up and am feeling impulsive, and I think your have an influential voice on tumblr and so may be able to clarify this for ppl in regards to the WGA strike (apologies for the presumptuousness, obviously ignore this if it’s not appropriate):
I know that at the beginning of the strike, the general request for audiences was to NOT cancel subscriptions to streaming services, as it would undermine the WGA’s position by reducing a countable audience.
I have since seen - particularly after yesterday’s news - people in the tags encouraging each other to cancel subscriptions so as to not “cross the picket line.”
So, twofold question:
a) is the original stance correctly reported, or just a game of tumblr telephone?
b) /should/* people start cancelling their subscriptions in solidarity, or would this be counter productive to the strike?
Thank you for your time (and your books! But that’s for another day)!
*”should” here means ‘would it be appropriate?’, as opposed to ‘is it a moral imperative?’
The WGA has not called for anyone to boycott any of the streamers or to stop their streaming services yet. It's not "crossing the picket line" to watch something on a network that we are striking against. ("Crossing a picket line" is a very real, specific thing with a real meaning.)
I've seen it being discussed, but until the WGA calls for it, I don't suggest doing it.
