Isekai!Lucy: *gestures to her Bridgerton husband and Featherington wife* I would call this polyamory but really, it's just me being a whore.
Isekai!Violet: *gestures to her own Bridgerton husband and Featherington wife* Oh, same darling.

| ANATOMY OF A SCENE - CHENFORD EDITION
5.22 - Under Siege
The choice of having this scene mirror the one in Life and Death is brilliant. Especially considering the similarities in the circumstances.
The way Tim envelopes Lucy, how he's cradling her… It's all the same. But it's not just the hug : the feeling of intimacy is still there. Only it is amplified even more by the lack of words. And this is where it differs. Where it goes further than that first scene.
This time, Tim doesn't need any prompting, he immediately knows what Lucy needs.
This time, there's no hesitation before she falls into his arms. There's no rush to pull away. They stay in each other's embrace, finding refuge in each other's arms.
This time, the hug feels even more personal, with the way she's leaning on his left side, the heart side… with the way he can freely kiss her head and rest his head on hers… with the way she burrows herself deeper into his arms.
It's everything they may have wanted to do after Jackson's death, or after Rosalind's escape and finding Chris. This time, they don't need to restrain themselves. They don't need to hide behind undercover work. They don't need to go back home on their own.
They never have to be alone anymore : they have each other.

so often i see people try to downplay violet and minervas relationship like it wasnt Real enough or was some Inferior Romance that her relationship with clementine could Never compare to, and i find it so annoying and boring
she LOVED minerva!! and its okay that she did!! she was her first love!! childhood best friends turned girlfriends!! seeing her being so heartbroken and miserable about what happened to minnie, how deeply and desperately she missed her, hugging that bed frame so pathetically. but clementine makes her CARE again. makes her LOVE again. slowly violet becomes comfortable with the idea of opening her heart up to people again, after trying so hard not to because the pain of losing people she cared about was too much to bear (especially when she blamed herself for them being gone)
then she learns minnie didnt die. shes falling in love with clem while grappling with the fact that minnie might still be out there??
then she meets minnie in the woods. but minnie has changed just like she has. theyre both different people now. and slowly violet is forced to come to terms with the fact that the person she loved so deeply isnt that person anymore??
violet at the beginning mourning minerva and blaming herself, to shooting her to save clems life. she LOVED minerva once, but she doesnt like the person she is now. and shes not gonna let her hurt anyone else she cares about. shes done mourning her by the time they get to the bridge, only crying out for tenn
like idk i just find their relationship evolution to be so interesting and sad as shit. the fact that they once loved each other so much and it has now come to this?? but violet makes her choice and she Chooses clementine, because she admires and loves clementine, probably similar to the way she used to admire and love minerva if the way she talked about her is any indication
i just think "i never thought i would ever feel this way again" is way more interesting than "wow minnie Never made me feel like This"

I happen to have a fic with two endings.
I can't choose the one I prefer. One ending has light angst and the other is funnier. And I just... can't choose.
So I'll guess I'll post the fic with the two possible endings in different chapters and like that YOU can choose which one you prefer because I can't. It just gives you more content so I guess it's fine.

"Remember, she is your charge. If you leave her, and harm befall, you shall not sleep easy hereafter!"
I think Van Helsing's warning here shows an important question repeated throughout the book: people are depending on you, even beyond their own knowledge of it, are you able/fit to handle the responsibility and the consequences of your choices (and mistakes), even those made with the best of intentions?
This warning is made directly after their choice of leaving Arthur out of the situation proved to be a wrong move (entirely thanks to Arthur's ability to see Through The Bullshit, not of them changing their decision). What would have happened if Seward had been the one to give the blood and the transfusion had gone poorly? If Seward hadn't been strong enough to give Lucy enough blood?
This warning is also made right before Van Helsing *leaves* Lucy in Jack's hands, right after hiding his suspicions and his knowledge about Lucy's mysterious illness, another choice made with the best of intentions but with very clear risks. Lucy is as much of Jack's charge as she is (and in some sense jack also) Van Helsing's charge, and he's leaving them both, a drained tired man and a sickly unconscious girl, to their fate with no knowledge of what they might be up against.
I would say van Helsing is talking to both Jack and himself as well with his warning.

I am the number one mike gets vecna'd truther. I have damn near 100% confidence that mike gets vecna'd. there is no version of s5 that I can imagine where mike doesn't get vecna'd. he will be shown horrendous visions and he will scream and cry and veccy boy will get his homophobic dog moment and mike is gonna be shaken up and refusing to tell anyone what he saw and it will be the most important, impactful, and jaw dropping vecna scene of the season, and I will be pulling up the cristiano ronaldo gif

Thank you? I'm not sure if that's the right thing to say, but I'll definitely be taking this as a compliment!

In the bad ending of cursed gifts (where the family didn't manage to take off the curses) Mirabel keeps speaking to Luisa even after she's been petrified completely. This is because Luisa wouldn't have an actual way to contact with anyone in that state and it's impossible to tell if she's still alive and somehow in consciousness. And if there even a slightiest chance of Luisa still being here, Mirabel would do anything to keep her entertained. Even if all the others gifted members had died
