gotta love all the callbacks this ep is doing. i could make a compilation of them but it’s like they’re saying ‘we know this is the end, but remember the journey’ remember remember remember ughhhhhh toh will never die.

love how all the glyphs have their natural element form, but also other connotations! the light glyph deals w light, but also knowledge, truth (it helps wake up the people of the isles) but also the obscuring of truth (the invisibility glyph) while fire is both fire and like, movement, the sphere titan!luz travels in is made of fire glyphs while the teletransporting spell has a fire glyph in the middle, light also seems to have themes of ife? and it makes sense for fire to be movement: the more hot something is, the more the atoms in it aare moving and just…. hajdjakd.

Tokoyami X Kaminari

First I'd like to say imagine Kaminari is one of those guys who hits on everybody and 0 standards (his squad says this is a habit he should change and Kiri and Baku definitely scolds him about this, Jirou doesnt cause she feels like hes old enough to make his own decisions and Mina finds it non of her business if he wants to sleep around)

ANYWAY onto the ship so After moving into the dorms basically everyone picks up on this habit of Kaminaris and most of them have already told him they wouldnt or dont wanna date because preference or otherwise he respects that and leaves them alone but tells them his doors are always open if they change their mind cause respect is sexy

Tokoyami somehow never picked up on this and honestly was never hit on by Kaminari not because he didnt find him attractive or anything but because Kami already put it in his mind that Tokoyami wouldnt be the type to want in on the Denki train of love so he just never asked

THIS IS WHERE IT STARTS GETTING INTO IT

So in band practice Tokoyami and Kaminari are spending so much time together and the emo bird is actually starting to find this idiot honestly so adorable and other words not in his dictionary like omg this boy hes so bouncy bubbly fun and cute when he laughs he also is somehow kinda hot and what in spongebob's squarepants has gotten into me? This is Tokoyami's awakening he doesnt understand how he could fall in love with somebody like Kaminari until he actually really gets to know him through the band hanging out alot

He learns his habits faster then Kaminari learns his because goth boys like to keep to themself especially since what happen in the forest he doesnt wanna hurt anyone so he just observes from a far which isnt very far considering he regularly meets in Kaminaris room and sits in a chair facing the electric boy for practice he loves watching smiles light up on his face when he doeant mess up guitar riff without the need to ask Jirou how to do it he learns how kind Kaminari is (BECAUSE IN THE EP IN THE WAR HE WAS LIKE "you are kind" to kaminari when he was scared hes watching him these things do not go unnoticed by this bird boy)

What's stopping said bird boy from taking the leap of fate you may ask? Hes to believe Kami has feelings for Jirou see because every since they started this band Kaminari's main objective has been to do this for Jirou but Kami just wants her to have a good time TOKOYAMI DOES NOT KNOW THIS he believes the boy of his resent dreams is in love with another but this is not the case

Now, Jirou being apart of the Bakugo tells Bakugo about how she really believes Tokoyami is falling on his heels for their electric friend Bakugo notice this already and comments on how slow to the draw she is like everybody hadn't already noticed (some of them actually didn't notice this until they pointed it out) Mina says she thinks they should try and push the two together but Jirou says Tokoyami may not be Kamis type so they should let them deal with it themselves

Everyone decides to leave them be and the show goes on as normal

Kami has not noticed any sort of feelings Tokoyami might be feeling and goes about his day normally Tokoyami is not moving on this subject either he rather fester in his feeling then speak his truth

So how do they get together even?

Well, Kaminari has now established he is good friends with the bird so he starts coming into his room, letting him paint his nails and toes (black of course) sharing chokers and clothes

One day Kami he's sitting on Tokoyamis bed both boys minding their business when Kaminari just happens to look at Tokoyamis legs, hes got shorts on because it's hot in his room, Denki has never seen a pair of legs that look that good, like damn, why is his legs so fine? He places a hand on his thigh and goes "dude, you've got really nice legs"

One can only imagine what's going through our bird boy mind

Anyway Kami realizes who hes talking to and apologizes for being weird "but I I ment what I said dude, you've got nice legs"

Tokoyami's heart feels toyed with by the many passing days hes has to endure the boys friendship, if hes so into Jirou why not bother her and stop sticking to his side like a rose thorn? Well Kaminari believes since after the band thing instead of going back to not really talking so much he has decided that Tokoyami is his his new buddy

Kami has 0 knowledge of Tokoyamis feeling if he knew he probably would jump at the chance to date him cause it's been so long since he's even dated anybody for that matter

later Tokoyami confronts him about his "behavior" just comes into the lightning boys room stands in front of him and starts asking why he's toying with his heart while he already has another in his sights

Kami still has 0 clue on what hes talking about cause bird man talks funny

All tokoyami does is win a "dude what are you talking about? Playing someone's heart? I haven't even gotten the chance to date anyone for a while now what are you talking about?"

Tokoyami tells him about how he thought he was after Jirous heart and how hes been sending him mixed signals not only that the fact Denki keeps coming into his room frequently and sleeping in his bed while Tokoyami is still in it pulls a lot of red flags heart shape red flags

Kamis excuse: I always do stuff like that, bro the squad and I sleep together all the time what you thought I was hitting on you?"

That's when it hits him

"OOOOOooooh, so you like me?" Kami then looks the other boy up and down. "I mean, I dont think I could handle all that" gesturing towards all of the bird. "Sorry sorry, saw an opportunity and took it"

Tokoyami grows tired of this game of cat and mouse but is remaining vigilant to not speak his truth.

"You like Jirou dont you?"

Kaminari the goes on to tell him Jirou and him are the furthest thing from being a thing because one reason or another and Kami has been giving his love like a break ever since he started taking advice from Kiri and Baku about being a simp as Bakugo called it

"But that doesnt mean there isn't room for you in my electric heart if you wanna take a chance on me?"

That's how it started and only went up hill from there

SOOO what do you think, if you think they could end up any other way I wanna hear it

i agree that denki just has a very flirty personality, it's who he is and I think it makes him feel more confident in himself!

I can totally see tokoyami falling for him, just being silly and all smiles, when he realized his feelings there was a lot of my chemical romance and Aerosmith being played and - you didn't hear this from him - but midnight rain by taylor swift might just have played on his playlist once or twice (cause duhh he was sunshine and he was midnight rain)

I like to think tokoyami is a very straightforward lover but also a very tortured poetic one, he likes to suffer and would probably never confess but with all the mixed signals involved he just had to say something and he would confront it head on: like dude do u want me or not??

denki would be very confused, not because he doesn't think he's fucking hot but because why would he fall for him?? i think for them to get together it would be very experimental at first, just trying to figure it out if they really were a good fit, and surprisingly they were! tokoyami was oddly patient with him and denki feels really comfortable on his side

they're the type of couple to go on a lot of dates without the boyfriend label yet and just months in be like woah we're boyfriends??? ain't that crazy?? they would be very clingy too I think, not necessarily kisses in public, but a lot of touching and hand-holding, just letting the other know they're connected

i think that's all i have tonight but i will give them some more thought to see if I can come up with anything else! loved to hear back from you <33

i havent journaled in a while so i guess ill do one now while i wait for this melly to kick in so i can sleep.

i actually meant to do this last night but i got too tired to continue after typing 2 words lol. i went to work today and then hung out with my bf afterwards for like 6.5hrs. it was a good time with him today. we really just smoked a little joint in his backyard while his dogs ran around. then he made grilled pork and we had his sisters pasta and meatballs with it. we watched the new ep of frieren while eating some krispy kreme glazed donut that his sister brought and then we just hung out for the rest of the night. funny enough, i actually meant to write some things about him last night but after hanging out today, my initial thoughts have changed. basically, ive noticed that hes been in this weird funk for a few wks and i couldnt really figure out what it was and if it was just me overanalyzing or whatever. after i hung out with snow which was feb2, there was an incident where i accidentally forgot to reply for 2hrs, even tho i read his msg so that affected our relationship in a way to the point where like he apparently started to care less and wasnt fully into it all. the way he explained it to me, he felt like he was holding back his feelings or like they just werent connecting and whenever we hung out, it felt like a regular hangout (almost like how a friend hangout would feel). it was only up until recently where he started to acknowledge it more bc of this recurring situation we were having with sex. like for a little bit honestly, i would notice that he wasnt fully into it like he used to be/normally is. i didnt say anything at first but after a while i think we were on the topic and i told him what ive been noticing. then all of a sudden it got worse bc it was actually affecting our relationship. it made us (but mostly him) question our connection, his state of mind, our chemistry, all that. like we didnt know what the problem was since this like never happens so its weird.. and he did bring back up how when i hung out with snow last time, at the time he told me that something in him switched and he couldnt explain it or fully understand it but whatever it was, i guess it was progressively becoming more prevalent without him realizing. like he was pretty much self sabotaging himself and so he recently actually had to like “self reflect” foreal bc i swear, he was being less like himself and less emotional and genuinely happy and not as affectionate. it wasnt completely obvious but i def did sense that something felt different. i felt like he would act jealous and suspicious of me at times and itd be his own trust issues coming out, as well as some insecurity. like, at times those parts of him were tiring bc its like the same things over & over. it made me feel like he was trying to find literally anything to use to try to pick at with me. like to find fault in me or accuse me/suspect me of something that i clearly am not doing. like i already know hes got some deep rooted trust issues and self esteem issues but damn it felt like i was always the one messing up and upsetting him and making it like hes just being sensitive and dramatic..like!! no!! its just sometimes so difficult to try to tell someone who is actually overthinking and overdoing it without sounding like youre gaslighting or brushing it off as nothing. i really was trying to understand him and his pov. its seriously all bc of my friendship with snow which is crazy…like how has our friendship become this prominent in both our lives and is causing this much conflict between us, even tho i told him a million times that it shouldnt. i tell him the truth about it, im not lying, not cheating, not anything but its affected him soo much. btw we are trying to plan a day to hang out again soo we shall see how he reacts to it & ill also not make the same mistake. ill deal with that later but at least today, he felt like really great and happy which is good and it made me realize how i did miss this from him. im glad were okay tho:)

#for the first time in a while i think im gonna binge ethos lp again tonight 🧐#like the last time i watched it was in april #and even then i didnt watch it super often except for the occasional 'im watching this for 15 hours straight on 3x speed' day /hj #i'm only on ep 323 so far but honestly this post is a shoutout to anyone whos watched all of ethos lp. yall are on something else /lh #anyway idk how to describe it but im at the point where etho noticably starts getting more comfortable with speaking to an audience lol #like its no longer the 'my parents are asleep downstairs so im trying to be quiet' voice lmao #anyway when i binge watch things i feel weird saying it because it's never like. completing a series in one sitting #like with anything not just etho of course #i just put it at >2x speed and stay still as long as i physically can #fun fact i started writing this post while watching episode 321. now on 324. just bc im somehow doing that many things at once. send help #/lh #gri chirps

* Sweet boy always tells the truth

* Cant handle being the mafia

* Real good at noticing other people’s changes in behaviour

* Really expressive whenever he sees his role

* Mafia: *gasp, frowning face*, Villager: *sigh in relief*

* Hes good at convincing other people to vote the same person he votes for

* Mainly bcs hes so kind and trustworthy

Kyouka Izumi:

* Its sort of hard to find difference in her behaviour

* Shes emotionless most of the time and has a poker face most of the time

* Shes suspicious of Dazai, Ranpo, Yosano, Fukazawa most of the tome

* I mean the others are smart too but sometimes she forgets that they can be mafia like Atsushi, Kunikida, Kenji because they have strong moral beliefs and such so it gets her off guard

* As the Mafia, she’d be good and She kills Dazai first lmao She knows what he can do

* Doesnt do that often and changes targets to avoid suspicion in future games as mafia

Atsushi Nakajima:

* pretty good as Mafia, Just needs to come up with better arguments

* Hes easily swayed actually, Believes Dazai but sometimes Dazai lies a bit lmao

* Sometimes he could die first

* Hes pretty expressive if he gets accused as mafia, even if hes not

* Hes all sweaty and trying to explain it well but it makes him so suspicious that he dies sometimes

* He cant tell any differences in Dazai or Kyouka’s Behaviours and relies mainly on what he feels when that happens

* He mainly stays silent when discussing who the Mafia is and will answer if asked what he thinks only

Yosano Akiko:

* C o m p e t i t i v e.

* Real intimidating that she seems like the mafia when shes not

* If she dies, she laughs a lot since she can see whos who and its really funny trying to see them find out who the mafia is

* Shes pretty good at asking anyone questions when its discussion time and if she thinks youre not telling the truth, she intimidates you

* As Mafia, she manages to act as herself

* Except for the occasional chuckles she covers up by saying “That just sounded funny” and stuff

* It works most of the time but some people can see through it lol

* Shes a bit reckless because shes a bit competitive but shes good

Fukazawa (forgot the rest of his name oh no):

* Like Kyouka, poker face.

* Didnt play the first few games but they managed to convince him

* Hes silent most of the time unless he needs to defend himself

* Smiled one time actually it was an awesome moment for the ADA

* As Mafia, he wouldnt change behaviour AT ALL

* But he gets caught because he doesnt understand most of the instructions

* He can notice other people’s behaviour changes

* Doesnt know the intent sometimes though so he can misinterpret the person as a mafia even if they’re just sweaty from heat

Junichiro & Naomi Tanazaki:

* Naomi always invites Tanazaki to play

* Both would actually team up lmao

* Naomi comes up with plans and Tanazaki makes up some signals

* Like two taps to look under the table to check who the other is pointing at, three taps to say they know who it is

* Almost got caught but honestly thats why they win a lot lmao

* Ranpo knows though but they give him candy to keep it a secret

* Sometimes they dont do it though, They play against each other

* Naomi as Mafia is honestly pretty easy to find out

* Shes all giggly and killing Tanazaki first

* Tanazaki as Mafia is a 50/50

* Hes good at acting (as seen in the bombing ep where hes first introduced) so he can still be himself. May fidget a lot though so depending on certain things, he can make an excuse and pass or he’ll be caught

its night two and i still cant even make it to the end of a rewatch of ep 1. i had to stop taking notes before the scene outside the pharmacy bc there was so much going on and i legit didnt know how to put it into words. and this is no joke, i have over 4k words of notes for less than a single ep. i really really underestimated how much watching ep 1 would be knowing what we do now. you notice so much more now, you hang on all their expressions and the looks in their eyes, theyre so loud and complex and trying to put yourself in their shoes, imagine what theyre thinking is a lot. bc this is the reunion and yet we didnt realize just how huge it was when first watching, there’s all these small details that tell this whole other story that we just weren’t able to see at first. its honestly like watching a whole new ep, its insane, and its incredible.

he had a small soft smile that could only be seen by you as you got rid of the sweat

but that smile turned into a frown when he got a glimpse at the discoloration on certain parts of your arms

he mumbles and you shrugged

kyo shook his head with an amused chuckle and iwa, who was drinking water at the side, noticed you two

then he noticed more at your other arm and baby boi hurriedly ran over to you

next thing you know, you got best bois fussing over you always hurting yourself and kyo gently headbutts you to tell you off while iwa flicks your nose

you just giggled at them which caused them to stumble and fluster

its quite normal for you to look like you just fell down the stairs and be so surprised whenever the boys point it out

and ofc you would naturally have your ointments for bruises or a first aid kit at all times bc you never really know when it happens and you need to treat it quickly

the boys always count on you for medical tape when their fingers bleed or whenever watari gets bruises all over his legs bc of too many flying dives

the bench was a common place for you to treat the others and our libero babie was sitting there at one practice

you were kneeled on the floor and gently applying ointment on the growing colors on his skin

he wanted to scoff at the irony and the hypocritical comment but your worried and concerned eyes made him softly smile and nod

even though it was uneeded on reddened places, you would dig in your bag and fish out a gudetama bandaid on it

it was like a doctor’s signature for you and it makes the boys ltr fall in love with you all over again

ororororor that one time where kindaichi accidentally got a papercut during your study sessions and he was tearing up slightly at the pain

LMAO YALL REALLY OUT HERE TOUGHING OUT PAPERCUTS LIKE ITS NOTHING BUT I ACT LIKE I GOT STABBED 10 TIMES

you grinned at him to show that it was going to be okay and he let you sit on his lap so you could treat it

he still had a pout and you were giving him forehead kisses to calm him down

‘see? its going to be okay. nurse y/n-chan is the best out there and she’ll take care of you!’

he laughed slightly and you victoriously smiled

once it was all wrapped up, you placed a kiss on it

not saying im doing a kindaichi route or anything but he may or may not tackled you with kisses with that comment

but sometimes, they would have to be the one to put that bandaid on you

like one day, you were walking down the stairs to go to the changing rooms for practice and humming softly when you caught sight of the tall volleyball player mattsun at the bottom of the stairs

he was just passing by and you noticed him, waving your hand and shouting his name

‘mattsun-san!’

you greeted and he turned and he smiled brightly at you

you excitedly increased your pace going down the stairs, not noticing that you stepped on the edge of the step and caused your foot to slip

unfortunately, mattsun was too far away for him to catch you so you tripped and scraped your knee

he flashnyoomed over to you and kneeled in front of you to examine it

ofc it hurt like hell but you put up a brave front

‘its okay, mattsun-san’

his adorable eyebrows scrunched in concern and he quickly shook his head and gently picked you up to sit 2 steps up

you watched silently as he grabbed ahold of the familiar blue first aid kit from your bag and he opened it to take out alcohol and other treatment things

his fingers worked to open the bottle and pour a little bit of alcohol before he gently reached out to grab your leg

but before that, our babie mattsun is a gentleman and looked up for a permission to help you

‘its okay, mattsun-san’

you giggled and you booped his nose

he was slowly cleaning the wound and you could still tell he was worried with how his brows were still furrowed

you called out and he looked up

you smiled cutely and looked down, flustered, then met his eyes again

mattsun.exe stopped working

like deadass he blanked for a second then his brain processed what you said and when he did, he dropped the cotton ball and his face blew up red

this babie grimaced, eyes shutting tightly and head leaning on your thigh

you giggled at him and ran your hands through his hair

he kept mumbling and his heartbeat quickened to the point he felt faint and he felt light-headed

you appreciated and gave him a kiss on his cheek in gratitude which made him hide his face in your neck

I'm so flattered to be your fav Loki author ty king 😏 I'm v happy you noticed my subtle Loki series reference. I thought the dialogue in ep1 was top notch (I liked "this is fine Asgardian leather!!!1!" as well) and that quote "ascent to god king" was so badass and dumbass at the same time I had to express my love for it.

Honestly, I loved the show. First, Loki looks cute in his lil jumpsuit. Second, I think the show looks stunning, and I appreciate the quick beginning to everything (whenever I watch shows, I skip the pilot because I hate setup. Clearly I did not do this for the Loki show and I'm very content with that!). Also, for anyone wondering why I decided to watch after around six months of saying I wouldn't... a Loki friend told me it was good so I trusted them, lmao.

To answer the other anon's question, I don't think they dumbed Loki down. After watching the show, I talked to a friend for a little bit about how absolutely terrifying the idea of the TVA is. I couldn't even think about the idea of every single aspect of my life being planned, plotted, and out of my control. Loki is facing that in real time. If you really sit down and think about the concept of the TVA and this notion that you have literally no control in your life because it's all already planned for you, you're going to be shocked and confused. I think because this is a tv show that might be hard to grasp, but considering that is what Loki grapples with in the episode, I don't think he acts dumb at all. I think he's in shock. I would be too. Like, he is literally discovering that even though he has free will and thought, it doesn't matter because there is a group of higher beings (and remember, Loki operates under the assumption that's basically what Asgardians are) decides how his life will turn out. That's fucking insane. Being sentient but lacking control is a literal nightmare situation. I think it's only natural Loki is caught off guard.

As the angst lover I am, I adored the scenes with Mobius. He really dug into Loki, and as hard as that is for Loki as a character, it's amazing to watch as an audience member. When he said Loki was created so others could unlock the best versions of themselves... that is so devastating. My mind was reeling. There is so much analysis to be done for that line alone. (Also, Owen Wilson?????????)

Honestly, I have no qualms. I think the show is going to be great, but I also won't be surprised if this first episode ends up being my personal favorite. I like delving into the way characters perceive themselves and the way they are perceived, and that's exactly what the pilot was. I feel like Loki was held accountable for his actions while still being given the opportunity to not be "reset" and I'm excited to see how the dynamic between Loki and Mobius progresses.

Also, Casey could have defeated Thanos.

I watched Ep 11/12 of shadow house and I have thoughts and Opinions: Spoilers ahead

I thought it finished airing but it didn’t so yay im not so late

Most thing I’m so happy about is the growth of kate.. I’m beyond delighted when i see that little child do things and search which is kind of ironic cuz we cant actually “see” her.. plus all of the other kids and how they have their own distinct personalities i just want the best for them seriously. just really i love them all and i want to hug everyone..

Now with the big stuff/ recap moment:

this scene caused me actual pain.. in this scene exactly it hit me how much growth kate went through.. kate completely understands emilico now and loves her for who she is.. she is trying to find balance and meaning in her very confusing world and what she really wanted is a friend and someone to lift her up not a servant because she is complete on her own.. and thats what emilico taught her with offering her all the love and just PURE PURE KIDS

those two though are what i think gives more flavor to the show.. john is unlike all the other masters in my opinion.. it is true that everyone is different but john especially is there for a fun time and only fun time.. the idiot didnt notice that shaun is different until kate mentioned it and then in a split second started throwing hands. iconic behavior and attitude towards life. shaun is just shaun and he’s amazing.

and just the way that true genuine connection between the masters and their living dolls gets them back when poor emilico had to drink 5 liters of water😭

now to the Serious scary stuff:

this world is so intriguing im so interested in knowing more considering the 10810 things i dont know or mightve not caught but:

1- knowing that living dolls aren’t actually living dolls is still shocking even when i wasn’t convinced in the existence of living dolls in the first place honestly of how human emilico felt? she even kinda hinted at that before btw if i can remember.. ALSO HER REACTION OF ASKING FOR A MIRROR PURE BABY..

2- Watching It Unfold and How They Took the Children that was Terrifying to say the least cuz oh my god these shadows actually control everyone. i wonder tho the two who went to take them were they shadows and they can Not Shadowfy? themselves? or were they “living dolls” of their masters?

3- where did shadows even come from why did the grandfather know all this why did he make it? money? then why the power games? what are they ruling? idk its confusing but i will wait for explaining..

4- and this is the most interesting to me.. the way soot is being explored is AWEOSME! it can shape, it can control minds, it can even give life as implied!! it can make things!! it takes shapes and those shadow masters emit it! it goes away with water!! IT CAN CHANGE VOICES!! implying maybe controlling particles or sth??? idk?? just sooo interesting truthfully. is it like a huge power one wishes to take? can shadows choose not to be shadows? are they just soot? why is the word soot in japanese so adorable its susu or sth its so much fun… anyways i want to know more and hope to see how kate will practice cuz clearly louise did.

i want to talk more about this but ill wait for ep 13 and idk maybe rewatch the whole thing if i was curious enough..

5- edward gets on my nerves and not in a good way i wanna step on his shoes and maybe give him another suit cuz yellow isnt his color.. what is his objective i got very lost what privileges would he get in the 3rd floor? is he aware he’s human? what does a person close to the grandfather get??? u know!! anyways emilico is an idiot and this scene made me laugh she’s literally high on dopamine or sth..

also one more qu.. who in the fucks name are those two?

beastars episode 24 thoughts!

this post got kinda long i have Many Thoughts on this one

Overall I had fun watching this ep but I could really tell it was rushed and there was so much that got cut, which makes me super sad. our fears about the finale having pacing issues due to all the added scenes & rearranging were confirmed & it rly sucks, but i'll elaborate more on that in a bit.

this week's ep covered the end of chapter 92, chapters 93-97, and included small bits of chapters 98 & 99.

so the ep starts with the ED and the latter part of the tunnel scene with ibuki and louis. i liked the visual effect they used to show that they were in the dark. louis' voice acting was also On Point. for the most part i think this scene was done pretty well but I can tell it's being rushed also. I really wish we got more buildup and narration instead of just jumping straight to ibuki telling louis to shoot him. the way it is in the anime feels less impactful imo.

also im sad we didnt get to see this in the anime

before i move on, i wanna talk a bit about louis and his relationship w/ the shishigumi and ibuki. i feel like in the anime quite a few of the lil moments that really endear you to the shishigumi and also ibuki were either cut or kinda glossed over, which is strange to me considering how much effort and care went into the ED. it's very emotional and good but i feel like maybe anime onlies are missing out only seeing the anime and the MV. but idk.

legosi and riz's fight was quite rushed as well. there's so much narration and dialogue missing from it and that really rubs me the wrong way. It wasn't all bad but compared to the manga I just don't think it's as good. I will say tho that I really liked the sequence w legosi and the moths. I thought it looked really nice and was pretty well done.

also i liked how the backgrounds had some anti-yahya graffiti, its a nice touch imo

it says "high quality horse meat"

I was happy to see legosi do the "tell me more" pose but I'm honestly disappointed that the anime took out the whole exposition about why legosi did it. like i feel like without that it's just legosi being weird when he has a reason for it!!! This is just one example of the anime taking out crucial narration during the fight.

I also think it's kinda weird how they changed how louis shows up at the fight. im not sure how i feel about riz just charging at him like that, but i liked how legosi kicked him before they ran lol.

i dont have much to say about pina's small scene but I did wanna say that during my first watch thru of the ep i was too distracted trying to read the graffiti behind him that i didn't notice him getting his phone out of the dumpster and calling the cops lmao

it says "devour yahya"

and now... here we are... the predation scene.

overall i thought it was pretty well done but, like the rest of the ep, i could tell it was also being kinda rushed. some important beats werent given enough time to really sink in, and there's a few bits of narration taken out of this part as well that i find disappointing :^(

tho i did like how the anime called back to this scene in s1 when legosi mentions utilizing his strength.

also this part where louis is remembering ibuki had me like😭

I also really liked seeing louis cry. I was crying too sjdflskjdflsjkdf. i thought that scene was really good, its prolly my favorite part of the ep tbh. getting to hear the whole predation scene voiced made me kind of a mess lol. i really liked louis' expressions throughout this whole ep too. studio orange used their whole louis expression budget on these last 2 eps lmao.

seeing legosi instantly get all beefed up was great too. he looked a little ridiculous but i kinda loved it lol. he's so huge and poofy. i love him.

anyway, im also sad they took out louis' line about being reduced to a flashback character lol. instead he tells legosi "be a hero" again which... im not sure about that change. i liked the part with riz thinking back about tem tho. tho imo the way riz realizes he's in the wrong feels pretty sudden. again adding to how rushed the whole ep feels.

before i move on again i just wanna say legosi looks so cute. even all puffed up and covered in blood. how does he do that

baby boy baby. i wanna ruffle his cheek floofs.

i think one of the things im most disappointed about from this whole ep was how the fight got wrapped up. i really like how the cops show up and totally shift the tone in the manga jslkdfjskljdf. im also really sad we didnt get this interaction

tthe anime really took out most of the sillier moments from the finale, which makes me pretty sad to think about. i know the anime and manga have different tones but pls let the boys be silly sometimes!!

the next part where legosi and louis finally establish their friendship was really cute tho ❤️ even tho it was pretty different i enjoyed it a lot.

the wrap-up for this arc and this episode gave me whiplash sdjlfkjsdf. it literally speedruns thru legosi's predation conviction, being released, louis & haru's graduation, and legosi deciding he's going to drop out of school. that is SO MUCH AT ONCE. also i was holding out hope that legosi would have his new years call with haru after the fight instead but that didnt happen!! so it just got cut!!! kinda mad about that tbh. legosi and haru having a lil scene at the very end made up for it a lil bit but that's still one of haru's few moments in this arc that's just not included.

we didnt even get the part wher legosi learns he can't marry haru bc of his conviction.

ive been really hoping for a season 3 announcement once this season ended. with all the background allusions to yahya, the added plot point of someone stealing elephant tusks, and sebun and melon's lil cameos in this season, it seemed to me that studio orange was kinda teasing a 3rd season. but now, with the dismissive way the anime ended, and paru's note from earlier today, im less sure about the possibility of a 3rd season. i'd still like to see the rest of the series animated, but i guess we'll just have to wait and see if more anime is announced in the future.

if we do get another season in the future i just hope that we swing back around and actually address the things that got completely glossed over in the last couple minutes of this episode instead of charging forward w/o touching them again.

i really think the finale for this arc should've been two episodes at least. not including the tunnel scene. i think then things wouldn't have felt so rushed. people have been saying this season really would have benefitted from at least 1 extra episode and i cant help but agree. some have even suggested a whole 24 episodes just for this arc, but i think that this arc couldve been done properly with 12 or 13 episodes if there was some better prioritizing on what to include and what to cut.

like i dont mind not getting the parts about legosi's family if they can be addressed somehow in a future season (or if theres no more future anime seasons thats a plot thread that doesnt have to be worried about). i could have lived w/o seeing sheila & peach's chapter animated if it meant more time for the focus of this arc. and was the kangaroo red herring really necessary?

adaptation wise, i dont think this season was as good as the first. i still think it did fairly well, but i know that it could have been much better. ive been excited to watch this season with my friends once the dub releases, but now im wondering if i should just tell them to read the manga instead. sighs idk. perhaps it comes thru better as a bingewatch, or perhaps im being a bit too harsh. idk. at some point ill do a rewatch and see how i feel about the season as a whole, but that wont be for a while.

Thoughts on season 4? (It’s my fav season and i love talking abt it cuz boy there is SO much to unpack here)

You are correct, there is Sooo much to unpack abt season four, so I'll go over a few of my favorite topics (These are all my opinions!) :) [sorry in advance for rambling]

So season four has so many topics, from angels to dean rising from hell to Sam's addiction to ruby, there is so much to go over! I'm going to start with the angels

my thoughts on angels are very limited, seeing as I didn't pay much attention to them. But I guess we'll start with castiel. The first we see (or hear) of castiel is when he burns Pamela's eyes out. It shows how powerful he is, and made me wonder whether he was good or not (when I first watched it). Castiel's entrance on the show is probably one of the coolest entrances (besides Death's entrance in season 5), and the shadows of his wings were super cool.

Alright now Sam himself. Sam saw his brother, his soulmate, his best friend, get mauled by hellhounds and deep down we know he blamed himself for not being able to save his brother. As we saw, before Sam met Ruby again he was drinking himself to death and was probably going to either kill himself or get himself killed. Ruby saved his life. Their relationship is so strange, because it actually isn't obvious that ruby is evil. She played the good guy, and did it damn smart. She manipulated sam, being kind to him and being a support system (not to mention giving him demon blood). Even though I hate ruby she was pretty badass. She got him to trust her, slowly, and became a support system/friend that he needed. Even though she was just playing Sam so he would raise lucifer, I feel that she did care about him a tiny bit. In Lucifer Rising, after Sam killed lilith and found out ruby was evil, she was comforting him and when Sam helped dean kill her she honestly looked surprised.

Now Sam's powers. They were always a fascination to me and I am so upset they didn't go anywhere with them. Especially with the relevation from ruby that Sam "didn't need the feather to fly", basically saying that he didn't need the demon blood to use his powers. I loved seeing a darker side of Sam, it was very interesting to watch. The scene where Sam saved Castiel and killed Alistair is probably one of my favorite scenes of Sam. The fact that castiel believed Sam when he told the angel that demons weren't killing angels was a big step in their friendship. Castiel trusted Sam, and I'm sure he knew that Sam saved his life from Alistair

One parallel that I noticed was in ep 21 or 22, when Dean told Sam "if you walk out that door, don't come back". John also told that to Sam when he left for stanford. This scene was powerful, and really showed how dean and john are similar or had parallels. John was abusive (maybe not physically but definitly emotionally) and so was Dean. (Though dean does actually get physically abusive later, like how he beats soulless Sam unconsious when Sam tells him he needs help. But that's a conversation for another time) when Dean said "if I didn't know you I would want to hunt you", he should have been trying to help Sam instead of hurting him and pushing him away. Yes, Sam did do some things wrong, I'm not saying he didn't, but Dean really didnt go about handling Sam the right way. You can tell I episode Lucifer Rising that after Sam realizes that he let lucifer out he feels really bad. And not to mention the fake voice-mail he got from dean, telling him he's a monster and a vampire, that really didn't help. I don't know if dean ever learned that the voice-mail was changed, but I feel really bad for Sam. And knowing sam, I'm sure he kept it.

Another thing I want to discuss is Sam's addiction to the demon blood and how they (the writers and dean) addressed it. First off, the way they (Dean and bobby) locked him in the panic room and left him alone, in pain halucinating and dying was so wrong. And how they focused on dean suffering, how he "couldn't listen to Sam's pain", (just another proof of the writers paying more attention to dean than Sam. -my opinion though.) They focused more on Dean instead of Sam who was literally going through withdrawal alone.

One more thing! did Sam ever learn that castiel was the one who let him out of the panic room to kill lilith? Yes I understand Cas was under orders and everything, but Cas letting Sam out was a huge reason lucifer was let out. Just thought I'd mention that

Okay I didn't go over everything and I rambled a lot :D thanks for the ask, it led me to watch a few episodes over again, I honestly forgot how good season four is :)

Hometown Cha Cha Cha Ep 7 - The love triangle (and the bromance too) officially starts and Dusik’s past is slowly unraveling. Hyejin’s role in Dusik’s heart becomes more prominent.

After Dusik’s almost accident, Sunghyun was introduced to the neighbors. Sunghyun introduced himself and informed them that he’s filming a new food variety show that’ll feature Gonjin. Dusik asked how they knew each other and Hyejin said that they both went to college. Hyejin also asked how they each other, Dusik said that they met on the street and that them knowing each other is based on lies. Haha.

He seem to be popular among the older neighbors and finally went to Dusik and Hyejin’s spot at the table, Hyejin tells him that he was also popular back then in college. They started talking about their friendship and said its been 10 years since they last seen each other. Dusik started to feel left out and interrupted the reunion asking for him to explain certain things. Things finally settled due to misunderstanding and they both introduced themselves. I see a bromance coming along, this would be a problem. Hyejin and Sunghyun started talking what they’ve been up to especially the dental clinic she opened up, Dusik inserts himself in the convo and tells Sunghyun that he found and renovated that place himself. He’s becoming a third-wheeler at this point poor Dusik. Sunghyun asked if that’s how the 2 met and Hyejin didn’t really tell him the truth. A neighbor was being nosy teasing both Hyejin and Sunghyun. Hyejin doesnt like to be teased especially if it’s far from the truth so she excused herself for a early night, Dusik tells her that it never was a problem and wants him to shut up.

Sunghyun wants to accompany her going home, while Dusik likely jealous decided to step out of the restaurant and accompanied Hyejin home. Sunghyun and Dusik want to hang out together then they all went to Dusik’s house instead. Hyejin tells Dusik not to discuss anything that happened that night.

Sunghyun decided to ask Dusik to be his tour guide in town. They drink, do bets and games with referencing on actor Kim Seonho’s 2D1N variety program (I honestly didnt get the reference as i dont watch his variety show). It was very chaotic and all of them went to sleep after.

The next day, Dusik is officially the guide for Sunghyun’s production team for sightseeing Gongjin and their next stop is Gam-ri’s house. Songhyun intends on making the house the main shooting location so he brings all the team to her house. Sunghyun is trying to convince Gamri and asked for her permission to borrow her house for 7 days. He falls for the authenticity and the warmth of the house. But sadly, Gamri doesnt allow him to and tells him that it won’t work, despite Sunghyun being so persistent. That’s probably why his shows are so successful because he gets what he wants. Him allowing Gamri to have the time to think and leave her alone, eventually will come back. He also cannot think and work well with a empty stomach. We see his work ethic here. Looks like he eats too when he gets stressed.

Dusik brings Sunghyun and his team to Ms. Yeo’s restaurant. They try a fish dish which brings both Dusik and Sunghyun to utter bliss, describing the flavors they tasted like a food critic. They both agree on the flavors and their bromance especially over food is in full force. The fish they ate is a wild fish-fresh from the sea that cost 100,000 won in Seoul. Ok i admit this scene was really funny, they were so dramatic over describing the fish like it’s heaven to them. After their meal they meet Hyejin and left right after. Sunghyun and Hyejin continues to talk before leaving, Hyejin mentions Dusik’s fees and he offers Sunghyun to discuss about it.

Dusik notices she sounds different while talking with Sunghyun and later mimicking her way of speaking. After his tummy is happily fed, Sunghyun suggests the whole team go shopping to the market where Dusik struggles to keep up with Sunghyun’s energy and childlike behavior when it comes to shopping. Ok i giggled at this. Sunghyun is like a ball of energy and Dusik acts like an old man.

This is just an extra stop before they all go back to Gamri’s house as presents. Sunghyun will bribe her with these in order to win her heart. So he got a plan. Gamri is not falling for his tricks, smart woman but Sunghyun kept insisting that he’s doing this as a repayment for her kindness to her. He keeps coming back and continues to assist Gamri like helping her lift heavy things, cleaning, continues giving her gifts and even fixing her broken lamp. Looks like Gamri is starting to warm up to him. After his constant visits he stops, Gamri is starting to look for him wondering where he is which ultimately gives some time for her to think before she could make a decision.

Later on, Gamri calls her granddaughter who resides in America for her studies. She happily talks to her and asks her to come to Gongjin for a visit where she will cook all the dishes she likes to eat. Sad to say, her granddaughter won’t be coming home this holiday since she will be spending the holiday in California with her friends. I don’t like how her granddaughter prefers her friends over family shows her unselfishness, compared to Gamri who is so kind to others. Gamri is shown to be lonely and i thank Dusik for being so kind to her like a grandson.

Meanwhile, Sunghyun suddenly appears at the gate of Gamri’s house bringing a delicious cake. It’s been 5 days since his last visit which makes Gamri sulk. Gamri then offers him to stay and have dinner but he says that he plans on having dinner with his friend who is June the boyband member that Juri likes.

Gamri offers to cook them a delicious dinner in return for the cakes and they all enjoy dinner together. June thanks Gamri and tells that he misses having homecooked meals. Sunghyun added that as a kpop idol member he never stopped working since he was young. A disadvantage being a idol. Gamri shows her warmth by giving a piece of meat to his rice–a small gesture of affection. Dusik gets jealous Hahaha and Gamri tells him he’s grown up. I cracked up. Juri is having the time of her life hanging out with her favorite kpop idol.

After the meal, Sunghyun continues to offer his help to Gamri like to wash the dishes. Hyejin volunteers but Sunghyun tells her not to because of her back problem due to her car accident back in the day. Dusik didnt know about her back problem. This is new information.

Gamri is completely happy at this point and she expresses her happiness. It’s been a while she had a big meal at her house. It’s the liveliest moment she had at her house. This really warmed my heart. Gamri should have more happy moments. Dusik visits Gamri and Gamri tells him that Sunghyun can film at her house. She wants to feel less lonely and Dusik tells her he’s happy as long as she is. They continue to drink their milk together.

The next day, Hyejjin wakes up with Sunghyun’s surprising delivery of food like her favorites. They talked to each other over the phone and Sunghyun is curious and wondered what has she been up to over the 10 years.

Sunghyun is happy to see her living comfortably and happy. He then promises to treat her a proper meal when he’s not that busy and Hyejin agrees. Looks like Dusik will be out of the picture for a while when Sunghyun is around.

Later in the day, Dusik and Sunghyun stops by Gamri’s house. Sunghyun looks around the house and Dusik tells him that he’s not allowed to change anything. He also tells Sunghyun that he should ask Gamri anything first if he intends to make the slightest change on her house. Any without permission he has to return the house to her and even the damages that may happen are discussed to be added in the contract, as well as Gamri’s pay. Sunghyun ask if Dusik knows baseball. Sunghyun says that good pitchers dont throw a ball when they can, they have their energy and control with their power. The player throws the ball at full speed during a crucial moment. Is that a hint on what’s yet to come? He said that he’s like that and doesn’t sweat or stress over small things. Sunghyun finally brings up to Dusik if Hyejin is seeing anyone. Dusik has that change of expression on his face, you can see him close to tears. Dusik was silent for a moment, then responded that she’s not seeing anyone. Sunghyun said that it’s a relief. Dusik looks to him with mixed and pained expressions. I sorta felt bad for him at that moment. Like shit someone’s in the way now. What to do?

During the epilogue, we see Dusik being down and Hyejin drops by with a happy mood. They’re completely polar in terms of mood. Hyejin continues to joke around without understanding the environment’s mood. Hyejin tries to carry him back to his house. Dusik continues to look so broken and with a pained tone he tells her to not go and leave him behind.

Dusik better be quick as someone else who’s fast as a baseball player ready to swing for his pitch. If he doesn’t make the move, Sunghyun will.

Thoughts

I like how this drama focused on Gamri and Sunghyun. We get to know them more with this episode. Also tbh with everyone. I do not like Seonho’s acting. I think Seonho when he's plain and the typical conversational scenes he's very weak but can improve. But i would like to point out when he does crying scenes that’s what he does best. He emoted Dusik’s heartache and pain very well at the epilogue, at that moment you would feel bad for him.

AAAA OMG WELCOME!!! HOPE UR ENJOYIN IT SO FAR \OUO/!!!

i LOVE this question and i have sO MANY THOUGHTS ABOUT THE REBOOT so ima try to break it down into my likes, dislikes, and hit or miss (things i liked some of the time but not all the time)

🌈 10 things i liked!!!!! 🌈 <-- in no particular order

1. THE THEME SONG REWRITE!!!! ITS GREAT!!! og series callbacks, DELIGHTFULLY MORE INCLUSIVE, all those unnecessary side characters cut out, no weird celebrity references JUST RLLY WELL DONE and im glad they just redid the old one instead of making a brand new one ITS A CLASSIC!! plus this way u rlly notice those differences and how great they are

2. SPEAKING OF nO BORING SIDE CHARAS... YEAH!! THAT!! perhaps an unpopular opinion but ive never been a fan of the side characters and watched the og show p much exclusively for the warners so i LOVE that its mostly about them now!! (( i do miss the mime tho but they shoulda been nicer to him u_u ))

3. also like the theme song: MUCH LESS CELEBRITY CAMEOS/REFERENCES there are still a few but i feel like they were WAY more abundant in the og series and im rlly glad they calmed down w that, its actually Not That Fun to try and spot all the celebrities

4. mORE “IRL”/TIME IN THE TOWER!!! while there are some shorts where the warners are “acting” (gold meddlers, warners unbound etc) the VAST MAJORITY(19) of the 26 warner shorts take place “irl”!! WE GET TO SEE THEM IN THE TOWER SO MUCH!! eating together, shopping together, TRICK OR TREATING TOGETHER!!! and i just LOVE this stuff its sO GOOD FOR CHARACTER BUILDING!!

5. DIVERSITY!!!! EVEN THE BG CHARACTERS!! EVEN IN BODY TYPE!!! no more fatness only as a joke and hotness as the only other option for women, PPL ARE AVERAGE AND I LOVE IT

6. OVERALL CONSISTENT QUALITY!!! THE ANIMATION IS REALLY INCREDIBLE AND BEAUTIFUL TO WATCH!!! that was one of the BIGGEST flaws of the og series, so many eps were animated poorly bc they were handed off to studios that rlly didnt know how to draw the warners so its HELLA to see them beautifully animated in EVERY ep of the reboot so far

7. nO HORNY JOKES...POSSIBLY ANOTHER UNPOPULAR OPINION?? bUT I NEVER RLLY LIKED ALL THESE HORNY JOKES GIVEN TO KIDS IN THE FIRST PLACE LKDKD its actually rlly neat to see how creative the writing gets when they cant just horny joke their way out of a situation ALSO THIS BIT WAS AMAZING

8. I RLLY LOVE THAT THE CEO DOESNT HATE THEM!!!!! it was so frustrating in the og series that the ceo wouldnt even hear them out EVEN WHEN IT WAS STUFF THAT WOULD BENEFIT HIM its nice that this lady is insane AND greedy aND YET ISNT REALLY MALICIOUS TOWARDS THE WARNERS AT ALL at least not any more than she is to anybody else ITS REFRESHING!! I LIKE NORITA

9. ANIME-NIACS!!!!! thATS ALL I GOTTA SAY ABOUT THAT LDJLKD

10. FANGIES!!!!!!!!! they always had fangy energy im so glad it finally manifested...

⭐ 4 things i didnt like ⭐ i was gonna make this a top 10 list but i couldnt think of 10 things i didnt like djkldkljd

1. THE REDESIGN.... yes i know i was just celebrating the fangs bUT other than that i rlly wasnt a fan of the redesign.. its just too ...animal?? the triangle noses and changing their white faces to beige just seemed rlly unnecessary imo..

aLSO THEY LOST THEIR CLOWNINESS!!! ;;;;; i miss that clown aesthetic... big round red noses, white faces.. also i loved it when characters would try to describe them and say things like THEY HAVE FACES LIKE A CREEPY CLOWN dLdlkjdJLK

im not sure why they couldnt at least stay w the white n black like the old cartoons theyre based on??? THERES EVEN A SONG IN THE REBOOT THAT SAYS “LIKE US, ITS BLACK AND WHITE” bUT... THEYRE NOT BLACK N WHITE ANYMORE LDKKDJ

also the redesign is a lot more angular/less round than the original and i jus prefer the sof..

i miss this ;n;

GROSS OUT HUMOR ..LIKE HONESTLY WTF LDLJKLJKDD theres not too much of it thankfully but the og series had like.. nONE so it was a shock when theyd suddenly zoom in on marie antoinette’s finger and it was LIKE THAT and the pigeon scene at the end of “the cutening” actually made me feel sick sdjkdjk JUST IN GENERAL IM NOT A FAN OF GROSS OUT HUMOR SO .. EUUGHGH

3. those random new shorts that are like???? whyd u get rid of the side characters if ur gonna have these guys anyway?? the gnome in ppls mouths and the alien guy?? neither were funny to me and again the gnome short was mostly gross

4. YAKKO CANT DO MATH?? YAKKO DOESNT KNOW WHAT PLEBIAN MEANS??? HELLO?? HE HAS A VERY COMPLICATED SONG WHERE HE BREAKS DOWN MULTIPLICATION AND ANOTHER WHERE HE SINGS EVERY WORD IN THE DICTIONARY!! hES SO SMART LET HIM BE SMART hES A HUGE NERD PLS...

💣 HIT OR MISS 💣

THE SONGS!!! while i love that they brought back the musical aspect of the show (its rlly not animaniacs without singing tbh) the songs were sUPER VARIED IN QUALITY IMO

the reboot song? AMAZING

the song about dot’s zit??? ... no..

🌈 OVERALL I HAVE A LOT MORE POSITIVE TO SAY ABOUT THE SHOW THAN NEGATIVE AND IF ANYBODY ASKS I ALWAYS SAY I LOVED IT!!! 🌈

IS IT PERFECT? NAH

IS IT FUNNY AND FUN AND IN GENERAL A SHOW THAT MAKES ME AS HAPPY AS THE OG SERIES DID? ABSOLUTELY 100%!!!
