She’s enthralled by the videogame, tongue peaking out the side of her lips and eyebrows furrowed in pure concentration, the only things to break her out of trance being your brother’s eventual shit talking and elbow hitting that only made a smirk plaster her face, knowing to be winning, fingers steady on the controls.
“What the fuck” Your brother suddenly exclaims, and though ready to brag on about her streak something in his tone indicates it is not the game he was gagged about. Ellie follows his gaze straight onto a half naked blonde attempting to clothe herself by the kitchen on her way out. She recognized her, as lesbians did, Abby Anderson was on the hockey team of their community college and she wondered how in the world she were to know this house. It took you walking up behind her in somehow even littler clothes for it to dawn on her with a teeth clench.
“Abs, you forgot this” You point out handing her a sweatshirt which the girl accepted in flushed cheeks Ellie had never seen before from someone so infamous for sleeping around.
You weren’t a thing, Ellie knew that, fuck, she was the one who made sure of it, turning down your advances at every opportunity, but there was always something in the back of her mind that assumed you were waiting for her, a stupid thought, now that she thought it over. Her brain went red at the mental images her imagination refused to let go of, your moaning and desperation under somebody else’s touch, your taste in fuckgirl’s Abby Anderson’s tongue. If she were to clutch the videogame controller an ounce harder the metal would crush under her grasp. When you pecked her lips she was done for, distracted, on her way to losing for the next couple of hours while her best friend cursed on and on about how Abigail had been there basically every day that week.
She can practically hear you moaning Abby’s name in her head and it drives her insane. Ever since the first day your brother welcomed Ellie into his home and she set her sights on you it was as though all the breath had been sucked out of her lungs in one quick glance. The most beautiful girl she had ever seen, she concluded after seeing you smile. The most amazing girl she had ever met, she confirmed from all your late night conversations that became a habit from your shared insomnia and your brother’s heavy sleeping, there had been a time she’d ask to sleep over only anticipating your gossip and laughter, perfecting the cheesy dad jokes that were your favorite, attempting to convince herself it would be enough to be the girl that entertained you even if her chest ached in yearning for your lips pressed against hers. You had been distant the last couple of weeks, she felt it, but didn’t know why and you stalled every time when asked. Now she knew. And she hated it way more than anticipated. Like a rock heaving against her chest making it hard to breathe.
It was nighttime now and she shifted uncomfortably on the mattress by the floor, tossing and turning and holding in laughter from her best friend’s loud snores fast asleep in deep slumber. She played with the thought of going to your room as she usually would, but hesitated. It was still playing by her memories, your body in nothing but underwear when you had followed Abby out, every corner and crevasse of your skin looking so soft it made her ache. Her hands twitched as though wanting to reach out to you and only found her clothed pussy. She shook off the idea and stood up. Water, she thought, I’m only gonna go drink some water. But of course you were there too. Oversized t-shirt hiking up your body as you reached towards a tall shelf for a cup. Ellie reached in behind you and helped, settling the glass in your hands.
“Hi, Els” You said softly, shaking yourself loose of her overbearing stance behind you so you could walk towards the fridge for some chocolate milk, pouring it on.
“So, you and Abby. Are you like, a thing now?”

“For someone who doesn’t want you?” She scoffs in disbelief “Are you fucking stupid or something? Do you seriously not realize? I can’t fucking breathe when I’m around you, no actually screw that, it’s like I can’t fucking breathe when I’m not around you, like every time I make you laugh I’ve been drowning and can finally come up for air thanks to your stupid fucking smile and your stupid fucking sparkling eyes in your stupid fucking gorgeous face and then you parade around the house with stupid fucking Abigail Anderson and there’s a fucking bruise on your neck that I know she left there and I just want to sink my teeth in like a goddamn vampire and make one bigger to hide her claim on you and make it mine and-“
You crashed your lips against hers before she could continue. Her hands moving up to grab your hair, thumb caressing your cheeks and holding your face into place as though any gust of wind would make you fly away and loose her grip, she’s so mesmerized by you and your tongue inside her she moans into your mouth with barely any tension for it. It lasts a few more seconds before she pushes you away against all instincts.
“Stop, stop stop. I can’t. I can’t do this to your brother.”
“Fuck him”
“Baby…”
“Fuck me” You say and that’s enough to cloud all her judgment again. Ellie pushes you up against the kitchen cabinets and kisses you hungrier this time, hands coming up to stroke your exposed thighs before she latches onto them to push you up onto the counter, open mouthed kisses trailing down your neck until it reaches and Abby’s previous hickey and she bites down, a moan echoing from you and stopped by her hand over your mouth as she sucks down the sensitive skin and marks it darker.
“You’re going to be the death of me, fuck” She mumbles against your body, eyes darkening at the sight of the ever growing wet patch in the center of your underwear, she wastes no time to stroke it, harder and faster until she feels the liquid coating her fingers even against the fabric and sets your panties aside, looking up at you for reassurance you give with an enthusiastic nod before she dives her fingers in, moaning herself as she does so, feeling you clench around her hand “Fuck, you’re so pretty, I knew you’d feel so good, so fucking good around my fingers”

“What the fuck is going on here?” Ellie jumps away from you. She’s suddenly conscious and so are you, at the sight of your brother covering his eyes in disgust by the door.

Hannibal Lecter as The Devil
Our fandom usually ignores key elements that were said about the characters, especially the ones that state very clearly that the show is not the same as the books or movies. And the one thing that usually gets mixed up the most is, of course, Hannibal's past and even his very essence.
Our Hannibal is the devil. Apparently literally so. He is not the way he is because of his past trauma. He even says so in the show but most people dismiss it as him being avoidant. No. Literally. Nothing happened to him, he happened.
This is why some fans get so confused about the character's actions and motives, because they are ignoring this very important aspect: he is the devil, he is not some traumatized guy. Don't fight me on it, I'm just communicating what the creator and Mads himself have said. But when you take this into consideration it actually makes everything more interesting, fascinating and makes a lot more sense, too.
The devil despised humanity, or, thought he was superior. This is Hannibal. He sees himself as above everyone else, and in the show, he actually is, as this isn't a neurosis or complex, but who he is. Human emotions are weaknesses because they make you suffer, prone to error and vulnerable. This is why he goes insane when he falls in love with Will. He literally ate his sister simply because he loved her and loving her made him tender, therefore he "denied" his nature for her. He ate her in order to forgive her for committing this "crime". Didn't kill her, but had to consume her in order to put himself above his love for her.
When he falls for Will, he experiences a loss of control he never experienced before, as passion does, and he is the control king so naturally this makes him desperate and absolutely insane. This is why he does everything he does to Will, because he is trying to prove to himself that love isn't stronger than He is, that he is capable of following his nature and urges beyond his feelings for Will.
This is why that scene where he is crying after Will was put in prison, is so important, sooo important and most of us don't pay enough attention. Abigail wasn't dead, we thought he was crying for her, later we find out that she was safe and alive. Mads even confirmed but didn't have to because it becomes obvious then that he was crying for Will. But the dialogue is what makes the scene so important.

He was disappointed when Will didn't immediately accept him once he found out the truth. He felt so betrayed and he felt like he failed guiding Will properly to accept himself and Hannibal. Framing Will was heartbreaking for him but he had to make himself do it to prove he was still in control. That he wouldn't let his feelings put him in a vulnerable position and risk his life and freedom (which he ultimately does in the end).
When he finally admits or realizes he is in love, that's when he does the unspeakable and tries to eat Will. Bryan confirmed he wasn't actually going to go through with it, but in the heat of emotion after feeling betrayed by Will yet again, he just reaches a new level of insanity.
Soon, he realizes what he's done and the rarity of him feeling regret happens (hence the time reversing attempt). This is why he surrenders. He wasn't being "petty", he was trying to show Will he truly loved him, also because that man cannot believe for the life of him that Hannibal, the devil himself, is capable of love. Which is ALSO why the jokes about him having to ask aren't actually congruent with canon. No one would realistically believe someone like Hannibal would be capable of love. No, he didn't know before asking Bedelia, Hugh already confirmed but if you pay attention to the show this should not have been the interpretation. Will literally fucks everything up BECAUSE he refuses to believe H loves him. Yes, the dream, etc etc, I already made a post explaining that scene, too. It's in the meta tags and called Will Graham and the Denial of Love, anyway, this is such a beautiful tale of the devil falling for a human, only to discover he actually fell in love with another fallen angel, and the act itself made him more human.

man. the locked tomb is so funny and so full of memes and so beautiful and sometimes it just hits me that it's also so fucking sad.
gideon and harrow spent their entire childhoods hating each other for no reason. they never had to hate each other. harrow had gideon's blood on her hands when she opened the tomb and lost her entire family and it was all for no reason. just because gideon had no one to stick up for her. and when they were both orphans they couldn't even talk to each other about it. because they hated each other.
gideon fell so in love with harrow that she died for her and then harrow spent an entire year pretending she didn't exist just so she wouldn't lose her forever. gideon literally tells harrow's story for her and takes such reverent care of her body for the short time she's in it. gideon first saw her own father through harrow's eyes and called him Lord.
and john. and john is terrible. and he is so human that he becomes terrible. he breaks down weeping because no one else in the entire universe will ever understand his jokes again. he lost everything and he is the only one who even remembers the thing that was lost. he is so completely ordinary that you almost feel like you can't blame him for everything he's done but he is terrible. he let his friends die over and over and over again and he wants to wipe everything clean and start over and he is a man who has gone so completely insane from loneliness that he's circled back around to seeming horribly normal.
he greets his daughter with a dad joke and names her as best he can and gives her a title and a body with speed holes that help her go fast. and he's not malicious. and he's not good. you can't even really call him a villain--what the hell else was he supposed to do? in any of these circumstances? but he is trying his best and his best is simply not good enough. the true horror of god is that he is just human.
all the lyctors. all the lyctors are a tragedy in their own rights. augustine and mercymorn are just the two examples that we know the most about, and their own god/father/brother/lover/beloved/teacher killed them both.
(admittedly, mercymorn struck first. admittedly, john was defending himself and his entire empire. admittedly, it was ianthe's choice to save john in the river that killed augustine. less than an hour before that, augustine was apologizing for raising his voice and john told him to have a cigarette and do you see what i mean about it being hard to blame john for anything?)
and the whole concept of the fourth house in general. we don't talk about that enough. that is almost an entire planet's worth of child soldiers, from what little information we have. what does it say about ulysses and titania that they were the ones to found that house? isaac was thirteen. jeannemary was fourteen. they were expected to become full lyctors before isaac's voice had even dropped. there was no way they could make it off canaan house alive. these kids were doomed.
protesilaus ebdoma had a wife and kids. his wife's name is mia and she probably has no idea what actually happened to him. same with abigail's brother and nephew. corona and ianthe's parents must be losing their shit--they think their eldest daughter is dead and their younger one is now a fucking Saint with a gold skeleton arm.
that's not even getting into alecto. or nona. or camilla and palamedes and paul. this series is so fucking sad even without getting into the revelation that all the lyctors are slowly merging with their cavaliers.

“I need you to stay here,” I say holding Abby’s shoulders, “We can’t risk you getting caught in the crossfire. Promise me.”
She furrows here brows before nodding, “I understand.”
“Good,” I say firmly before kissing her cheek, “I love you so much.”
“Stay safe, mom,” she encourages with a smile.
I return it and give her crystal orb. “Here, you can have this. This can help you see what’s going on outside.”
She accepts and immediately inspects it. Her fingers brushing on the screen seeing her mother’s face in the orb as she was in real time. I gave a smile which was transmitted to the orb instantly. She slides on the orb one more time to her father, attending the speech Charlie was speaking. She hid it with the use of her powers and gives me one final hug.
“Dear, why don’t you join the other’s downstairs? You should get to know them better now that you decided on staying,” Alastor joins us and holds my waist with one hand and his microphone in the other.
“Oh! Right!” she enthusiastically runs down the hall and disappears.
“Gosh, where does she get that energy from,” I comment holding my cheek, feeling tired just looking at her. “That definitely wasn’t from me.”
Alastor laughs and gives me a kiss on the cheek before we follow after her slowly. He says this instead of answering, “As long as she’s happy that’s fine!”
I roll my eyes playfully at him and gazed at the group that gathered around the bar. I spot Abby holding a glass of orange juice trying to get closer to Cherri. I laugh at her actions, of course she chooses the coolest one to be her friend.
“Hi! I’m Abigail! You can just call me Abby,” she introduces holding out her hand.
“Uhh, sup? Name’s Cherri,” the pinkette answers reluctantly shaking her hand.
“Pleasure to meet you! We’ve met before but I never caught your name,” Abby asks the arachnid.
“Angel Dust. Angel’s fine, toots. Orange juice? What are you? 5?” Angel asks not exactly mocking her, but genuine confused by her choice.
“I’ve tried liquor before but it’s just not for me,” she replies not even bothered that she just got slighted.
“Fair enough,” Angel shrugs before walking to the bar to talk to Husk.
“So, uhh, your dad’s the radio demon?” Cherri asks trying to be polite.
“Indeed!” Abby answers enthusiastically, “We haven’t seen each other since I was a kid though.”
“Oh, why? What happened?” Cherri asks placing her drink down.
“He—uhh died when I was younger and by the time I was 15 I only had a few memories that I remember of him.”
“Oh shit. What about your mom though?”
“Mom also died when I was 14. So, I was on my own for a time in my life.”
“Well, at least we survived that shit. To being orphans!” Cherri exclaims raising her glass to Abby.
“Hurray?!” Abby panics confused and clinked their glasses together before doing the same as Cherri who downed her drink.
Alastor and I laugh while Niffty crawls on the railing between us.
“Ah, the celebratory night before a courageous last stand. It's been a surprising thrill to witness these wayward souls find connection. Almost makes one sentimental, eh, Niffty?”
 “I really like them, Alastor. They let me put on roach puppet shows without booing!” she replies enthusiastically, while I watched the two talk with a smile on my face.
“Ah, an enjoyable collective to be around. I admit one could get accustomed,” he sighs looking back down at them, particularly at Abby who was getting along with them quite well.
“I dub thee, King Roach,” NIffty proclaimed, putting on a bug crown on Alastor which he let her do and gave her a little bow.
“Oh, to understand your twisted little mind!” he comments before they started cackling where Alastor just played along with her. It made me sentimental of how he used to play house and have tea parties with Abby way back when.
Niffty scampers off with the other giving me the space and scoot over to him. “Will you be okay handling Adam?” I asked worriedly.
“It’ll be fine. I’ll be as careful as can. I’m not going to lose to him that easily,” he snorts, “You, however, I need you to back to me in one piece.”
I sighed and reminded him, “I think you forgot our deal, Al. I won’t exist if you don’t.”
He falls silent and tries to think. While I continue and place my hand on his chest, “You own my heart and my everything. This body beats for two. United as one, in sickness and in health—”
“Til’ death do us part,” we finish together. He wordlessly encases me in his arms and fall into a comfortable silence.

“Here they come. Get ready, everyone. We fight together!”
“Now! FOR YOUR SOULS!”
“Let's FUCK THEM UP!”
Alastor and I waited for them at the top of the hotel, watching as the angels begin their assault.
“Let the slaughter begin. AHAHAHAHAHAHA-HA!” Alastor yells swinging his microphone, summoning a black force field around us.
I left him and dove all the way from the rooftop and phasing to the floor, allowing me to transform into my giant demon form. With a terrifying grin and half lidded eyes that craved for chaos, I let out a shriek causing everyone to cover their ear giving Alastor to cut down the angels.
I raise my left and clenched it into a fist encasing every angel that aimed for me in a bubble immobilizing them, leaving them to Angel to shoot down. In that moment, Alastor’s shield disappeared leaving the silhouette of Adam with a sadistic smile.
He lounges for me while I only swiped him away with my hand causing him to tumble and crash on top of the hotel where Alastor was waiting for him. I left them and focused on helping the others, summoning my underlings to help the others.
After a while of killing angels, their numbers didn’t seem to waver making me curse under my breath feeling the weight of prolonging this fight for so long. I let out a pained shriek collapsing on myself and transforming back to my original form.
‘Shit. Is Alastor ok? What the hell happened?’ I thought starting to get delirious with the pain.
“MILEDY NO!”
“SUCK MY HOLY LIGHT, FUCKERS! YEAH!” Adam yells over our heads making me glare at him.
“What? Alastor was supposed to handle him. Oh no, he must be—”
White noise fills my ears as my vision starts to fail me leaving me in an unconscious state, where the last thing I see was tendrils wrapping around me.
---later
“Dad!”
“Alastor!!”
Everyone hugs him seeing his return that he was safe, however they fail to spot Miledy with him.
“Dad… Where’s mom?” Abby asks worried, trying to calm herself before she goes crazy looking for her mom.
“She’s fine. Just resting,” he assures giving his daughter a smile. ‘She has to be,’ he thought furrowing his brows before following the others.
<<flashback>>
“Al!” I scream getting away from an exorcist that was after me. She pushes me down and attempts to stab my chest. As soon as the steel met my skin, a tendril pushes her off me. I screamed as I see a large cut, opening up my chest. I watch mortified as I see my own beating heart.
“Miledy!”
Alastor rushes to me and knelt beside me. I hold onto him tightly confused and afraid, “Al, where are we? I don’t know what’s going on. I’m scared!”
His breathing stutters and tries to answer her, his eyes knit together and wore a frown. “It’s okay, you’re okay. I need to save you. You have to make a deal with me, Mel.”
I nodded my head despite not knowing anything he was saying. I just wanted to get out of here and be with him. Explain things to me carefully without my life being endangered and on the run.
“Mel, you will have to give your heart to me. So that no one will find your weakness, this is to keep you alive. Do we have a deal?” Alastor says to me seriously a faint green light emanating from him and his outstretched hand.
I nodded vehemently and shook his hand, “Deal.”

Wow, you really chose violence with this one...
I very much didn't just spend half of my work day spiraling and struggling to answer this. Ahhhhhh!!!! To a certain extent, it's easy. My top two? No problem. BUT THE REST???? WHY DID YOU DO THIS TO MEEEEEEEEEE?!?!?!!?
Okay, here I go. Wait I lied, first I'm going to explain my ranking a bit. One of the big distinguishing factors for me between the top 5 and the honorable mentions is scenes vs. overall episode. Some of the mentions include one AMAZING scene, but that alone doesn't merit a top spot for me.
I don't know, this was insanely hard. Ask me again tomorrow and some of these will probably change, but as of this moment, I'm going with—
Top Five Episodes:
Day of Death (2x11) - Do I really need to explain this one? This episode was everything. Perfect. Fantastic. Emotional. Intense. Beautifully acted and shot and scored. Truly one of my favourite episodes of TV ever. HE PULLED HER OUT OF THE FUCKING GROUND PEOPLE.
Double Down (5x01) - I am obsessed with this episode. OBSESSED. Lucy dreamed about their kiss! The conversations with Angela and Tamara (and the teasing)! How damn easy it is for them to touch and flirt and ahhhhh! Tim grabbing Lucy's hand when they find out Rosalind escaped! I REPEAT: TIM GRABBING LUCY'S HAND WHEN THEY FIND OUT ROSALIND ESCAPED!!!!! THE AIRPLANE BATHROOM!!!!!!!! *screams like a banshee* So hot, so unnecessary, so amazing. Battle couple! "Do you want to come in?" DO YOU TIMOTHY????? "I shouldn't." THAT IS NOT A NO MY FRIEND. SHE OPENED THE DOOR FOR HIM AND HE FOLLOWED HER IN UJAELGFJMAWELGHEAILKFGELAWGHEWAILGEWALR
Life and Death (4x01) - That damn hug at his place, ugh. SHE IS WEARING HIS CLOTHES! SHE WAS GOING TO HIS ROOM! The total married vibes when he's in Guatemala. It's delightful (bonus honorable mention for Tim's Guatemala Look, mmhmmm).
Now and Then (2x12) - The scene at the end, of course, but also for their individual stories (seeing Lucy grappling with the aftermath of it all, Tim's concern, the way he sets his ego aside and concedes to let Harper train Lucy) and the way they come together in some interactions with Abigail, "you got a time machine?" "I wish I did."
Going Under (5x21) - I loved the UC aspect, the phone calls that, let's be real, are straight out of a romantic comedy, the laundry room, seeing their concern for each other, Lucy being a badass, Tim's vulnerability, "I can't lose you the way I lost her" — all of it.
Please note that I honestly swapped a few of these in and out of the top five approximately 2194725 times before hitting post. (I still can't believe you did this to me.)
Honorable Mentions (in chronological order):
Season 1:
The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (1x03) - I feel like this episode maybe isn't a popular choice for "favourite Chenford episodes," but I've always included it on my list. The scene(s) outside Isabel's apartment are so powerful. The way Lucy stands up to Tim, doesn't back down, goes into the apartment, and then the conversation they have in the shop after. The vulnerability of Tim opening up about Isabel, the way he blames himself for letting it get so far - and more importantly, the way Lucy senses what he needs and throws him a bone ("her apartment is pretty decent"). I just love the support shown in this episode.
The Hawke (1x06) - I love the way we're actually seeing Tim teaching Lucy things (D.E.A.R. Method, etc.), and the way he smacks Eye Patch upside the head for staring at Lucy's ass? And of course the money clip thing at the end. The way Tim tries so damn hard to be annoyed with her, but he can't hide the amusement on his face.
Standoff (1x09) - I love this episode so much. The teamwork they display in that apartment?? Obsessed with this battle couple.
Redwood (1x11) - "Thanks." "For what, doing my job?"
Plain Clothes Day (1x14) - Mostly for the sheer hotness of Tim Bradford in plain clothes (rolling up his sleeves? HELP), but I absolutely love how he refuses to let her wash out over her actions with that murderous asshole.
Free Fall (1x20) - Separated by a wall??? AHHHHHH
Season 2:
The Night General (2x02) - AUDIOBOOK, enough said.
The Bet (2x03) - They did not need to stand so close together, but I thank them for it. Seriously they were so damn flirty.
Control (2x17) - Their conversation during the stakeout is easily one of my favourite scenes ever. The way she reassures him and herself that it wasn't either of their fault? MY HEART. And then the delightful bits of humour that throw in some much-needed levity. I can honestly see his face and hear his voice saying "Hello." when he's calling her out over the fake call with Rachel. It's just a wonderful showcase of their dynamic.
Season 3:
Revelations (3x06) - Love seeing the starting point of Lucy be a total badass UC officer. And equally love seeing Tim's reaction to it. He acts the same way he did when Isabel was going in as a CI. Let me just repeat that - he acts the same about his rookie going undercover as he did about his wife being an informant. HELLO?
Amber (3x09) - The whole "I have feelings for you" scene? I would have lost it if I watched live back then, but I absolutely die laughing at it. Eric killed it with his reaction, pure gold. And just the general dynamic of their last shift, particularly Lucy with her checklist and knowing Tim will throw it out. THEY KNOW EACH OTHER SO WELL (too well).
Threshold (3x14) - Tim in a tux! The green dress! THE ELEVATOR EYES!! "Save me a dance." HELPPPPPPPPP
Season 4:
Breakdown (4x09) - Eric acted the hell out of this episode, and it was wonderful (in a super depressing way) to peek into Tim's background a bit more. The way he trusts her with this case, and more importantly, the way he feels safe enough with Lucy to be vulnerable with her! "You're nothing like him." *sobs forever*
Backstabbers (4x18) - DANCE DANCE DANCE
Day in the Hole (4x22) - This episode is absolutely absurd. Doppelgängers? REALLY? But it got these fools to kiss so victory to 4x22! The scene in Lucy's apartment is pure gold, from Tim's broken brain to them kissing (obviously), to the awkwardness when Tamara catches them, to the look on Tim's face in the hallway.
Season 5:
The List (5x10) - The cold open of them getting ready for their date was a perfect showcase of their dynamic and their relationship. Trying on everything in their closets? The best friend energy of calling each other? Tim's face when she mentions the green dress?!?!?! It's absolute perfection. And then their first real date was so perfectly them!
Death Notice (5x12) - "This is the most amazing relationship I've been in since... ever" !!!!!!!!!!!! The hands outside the precinct. THE HANDSSSS!!! Their last shift riding together. Battle couple! LUCY LESSONS. "It's you." And, duh, THEY BANG!
Under Siege (5x22) - BATTLE COUPLE!!!!! And that hug/forehead kiss. The fact that we see over and over how these two strong people let themselves be vulnerable around each other, how they are each other's safe place. I am forever not okay.

A/N: i recently watched the new mean girls musical movie and it wasn’t as bad as people were saying it was. Like the singing and the songs were good, the cast fit their characters(except for Aaron’s actor sorry I feel like they could’ve gotten someone hotter but I do understand where Cady was coming from like he’s cute enough that if you’re in high school and in the same class as him at least one person would have a crush on him.) so like I do with everything I consume let’s stardew-ify it!!

I feel like it's harder for me to express my thoughts lately, but I've been thinking a lot about Beverly Katz and I cannot stand being alone with my thoughts anymore, so I’m sorry. 
When Will was in Baltimore State Hospital for the Criminally Insane, Beverly was one of the few people who visited him there. She needed his help at work, but at the same time, we know that even before, without any hidden motives, she genuinely cared about his life. We also know she's the oldest child in the family. It is very common for the oldest children to feel responsible for their younger siblings.
I believe she feels the same sense of responsibility towards Will, like if he is her younger brother, which is why she tries to be there for him when he needs comfort. 
Beverly is in a few episodes, but I won’t write about every single of them. I'm going to focus on the things that support my thesis about her perceiving Will as her younger sibling.
In Amuse Bouche she asks him about his well-being, tries to joke with him (he had just killed a man, to protect an innocent person and himself!), teaches him how to hold a gun properly. 
In Coquilles she again shows concern about his condition and I have the impression that in this dialogue she speaks to him like to a child she doesn’t want to frighten:

In Buffet froid there is a lot of interactions between them. First, when panicked Will races out into the hallway, she stares at him and asks with a hint of concern “Will?”. When Will tries to reassure himself he didn’t kill Beth LeBeau, he calls Beverly and when she hears he called her,  because he is not entirely sure what he saw was real, the script says “That admission almost breaks her heart, but it doesn't show.”. She tells him that he is the subject of a lot of speculation at the bureau, since people speculating that Jack pushed him right up to the edge and now he is pushing himself over. Later in the same episode she checks Will for evidence that would tell he killed Dr. Sutcliffe and reassures him that there's nothing that would indicate he is the person responsible for killing Dr. Sutcliffe.
When Will is arrested for evidence suggesting he killed Abigail Hobbs, Beverly is unable to maintain complete professionalism and talks to him while collecting evidence from his body. She tells him she didn't want to find anything on him, but since Will always says he's interpreting evidence, he should do it now. She is angry, disappointed and she says, “You should have recused yourself from any investigation. (...) However far over the edge you were leaning, I was hoping that you wouldn’t fall.”
As I have written already — when Will is in Baltimore State Hospital for the Criminally Insane, Beverly is one of the few people who visits him there. They make a deal — he helps her with work, she tries to prove he is innocent and she is going to check Hannibal Lecter. We know how it ends for her — Hannibal kills her and Will is needed to resolve this case. Here is a piece of the script from this scene:

Later Will tries to kill Hannibal Lecter by proxy, because he is mad about everything Hannibal caused in his life; he knew about Will’s encephalitis, framed him for his crimes, killed Abigail Hobbs and Beverly, Will's only friend. 
However it turns out Will has to change tactic and he ends up falling in love with Hannibal, they are known as murder husbands! On the one hand, I imagine that because of that Beverly has to turn in her grave because she died trying to prove that Hannibal was guilty of crimes Will was accused of, and on the other hand, Will and Beverly really liked each other, and in my opinion, Beverly felt like his older sister, so I feel torn because I think she would, to some extent, enjoy Will's happiness anyway. One way or another, man, this whole situation is sick, especially if you look at it from Beverly's perspective.

Will Graham’s Death and Rebirth: S1 Edition

in hannibal, death and life are two sides of the same coin, and death leads to new life. now let’s see how that factors into will graham’s own journey, in season 1.
i wrote this post after i thought long and hard about how it was strange that we don’t have a “death and rebirth” for will in season 1, when we do for all the other seasons, and turns out i was wrong and it does also happen in season 1 (you might want to read my post on the other times to clarify some of the ideas expressed here).
anyway, let’s start (warning: veeeery long).
hannibal: do you feel alive, will?
will: i feel like i’m fading.
and
will: i feel like I’m seeing a ghost.
hannibal: regarding this killer or yourself?
will: both.
and
hannibal: have you considered cotard’s syndrome?
hannibal: it’s a rare delusional disorder in which a person believes he or she is dead.
will: are you talking about the killer or me?
the idea of will being dead, or feeling like he is dead, is brought up from buffet froid onwards, which suggests his worrying mental state. why does will believe he’s fading from reality/becoming a ghost/dead though? a conversation in roti gives further insights:
will: i don’t know how to gauge who I am anymore.
will: i don’t feel like myself.
will: i feel like I have been gradually becoming different for a while.
will: i just feel like somebody else.
hannibal: what do you feel like?
will: i feel crazy.
hannibal: and that is what you fear most.
will: i fear not knowing who i am.
will believing he’s dead goes hand in hand with him believing he’s going insane and that he’s becoming garret jacob hobbs, given that hobbs is also dead. will becomes subsumed by hobbs’ identity in the first season, owing to the encephalitis and hannibal’s manipulations.
i’m going to list some dialogue which shows will being more and more entrenched in hobbs’ identity.
oeuf:
will: i got so close to him. sometimes, i felt like we were doing the same things at different times of the day. like i was eating or showering or sleeping at the same time he was.
hannibal: even after he was dead?
will: even after he was dead.
hannibal: like you were becoming him.
trou normand:
hannibal: i’m your friend, will. i don’t care about the lives you save, i care about your life. and your life is separating from reality.
roti:
jack: you’ve got to keep things in perspective. you’re got to keep yourself in perspective.
will: well, myself is a little hazy at the moment.
roti:
gideon: i don’t know if i will ever be myself again.
gideon: i don’t know if i've got any self left over.
gideon: i spent so long thinking i was him, it’s gotten really hard to remember who i was when i wasn’t him.
will: who are you now?
gideon (who has turned into garret jacob hobbs in will’s imagination): now i’m you. 
releves:
jack: this dissociative personality state you say he goes into…whose personality is it?
hannibal: he said he got so close to garret jacob hobbs and what he had done that he felt he was becoming him.
jack: and now he has hobb’s daughter.
hannibal: who hobbs intended to kill.
will’s descent into madness culminates into him hallucinating he’s killed abigail by slamming her into the wall of antlers in hobbs’ cabin. with this, will’s greatest fear has become reality - he’s become garret jacob hobbs and killed his daughter just like hobbs would have done. there is no more will graham, he is dead.
now i’m going to further narrate what happens to will and parallel the events with georgia madchen’s own arc along the way, because it’s talking about georgia which first allows will to give voice to his own fears of feeling like he’s dead, and so i believe that comparing their experiences will also show how will is brought back from the dead.
after the hallucination and arriving back at his house, will calls hannibal and tells him what he remembers:
will: i don’t remember going to bed last night. but i must have.
will: i hallucinated that i killed her. but it wasn’t real. i know it wasn’t real.
vs.
will: you know what you did, georgia.
georgia: but i don’t remember it. it feels more like a horrible dream where i killed my friend.
both will and georgia kill someone close to them in a dreamlike haze, abigail for will, beth lebouf for georgia. only, in will’s case it was a hallucination, while georgia killed her friend in reality.
will is taken to jail after he throws up the ear, but escapes from the prison van after learning that he’s also accused of the copy cat murders, not believing he could have murdered them all, and goes to hannibal’s office.
in roti, jack talks to will after sutcliffe’s body is discovered, asking why georgia followed him to sutcliffe’s office.
will’s answer:
i don’t know. i have a habit of collecting strays. i told her, tried to tell her the night i saw her, i tried to tell her she was alive. maybe she heard me. maybe that hadn’t occurred to her in a while.
and
will: it’s 1:17 AM. we're in greenwood, delaware. my name is will graham. and you're alive. if you can hear me, you're alive.
vs.
hannibal: i imagine abel gideon would want to find the chesapeake ripper to gauge who he is. and who he isn’t.
hannibal: will. you have me as your gauge.
(abel gideon is another character who can be paralleled to will with re: the loss of identity and medical abuse)
and
hannibal: i’d like you to draw a clock face. numbered. large hand indicating the hour, small hand the minute.
will: why?
hannibal: an exercise. i want you to remember the present moment. the now. often as you can, think of where you are and when. think of who you are.
will: it’s 7:16 PM. i’m in baltimore, maryland. my name is will graham.
hannibal: a simple reminder. a handle to reality for you to hold onto, and know you’re alive.
just like georgia goes to will because he’s the one source of surety and stability in her life, the one giving her a handle on reality, will goes to hannibal for the same reason when he is framed for murder.
will then goes back to hobbs’ kitchen with hannibal to see if he really did kill abigail, just like georgia goes back to beth lebeau’s house to see if she really did kill beth lebeau.
will: if she did kill beth lebeau, she might not even know she did it.
beverly: then why did she come back?
will: to convince herself she didn't.
vs.
hannibal: if we're to prove you didn't commit these murders, perhaps we should consider how you could have.
hannibal: and then disprove that.
and
 will: then take me to minnesota. i want to see where abigail died.
to make things simpler, i’m going to list all of the dialogue that occurs when they arrive at the hobbs’ kitchen, and cherry pick some parts for further analysis.
hannibal: it’s as if abigail was supposed to die in this kitchen.
will: her throat was cut. she lost great gouts of blood and there’s an unmistakable arterial spray.
hannibal: they haven’t found her body.
will: just the one piece.
hannibal: if you were in garret jacob hobbs’ frame of mind when you killed her, they may never find her.
will: cause i honored every part of her?
hannibal: perhaps you didn’t come here looking for a killer. perhaps you came here to find yourself. you killed a man in this very room.
will: i stared at hobbs and the space opposite me assumed the shape of a man filled with dark and swarming flies. and then i scattered them.
hannibal: at a time when other men fear their isolation, yours has become understandable to you. you are alone because you are unique.
will: i’m as alone as you are.
hannibal: if you followed the urges you kept down for so long, cultivated them as the inspirations they are, you would have become someone other than yourself.
will: you’re not alone. we are here together.
vs.
hannibal: you are alone because you are unique.
though these might seem like different scenes (will says georgia is not alone, hannibal says will is alone) ultimately they’re one and the same. hannibal telling will he’s alone makes will realise hannibal is as alone he is, which later makes him realise he’s not alone because they’re together in their alone-ness.
dialogue from tome-wan to support this:
will: you're right. we are just alike. you're as alone as i am. and we're both alone without each other.
will says hannibal is as alone as he is, and then goes on to say they’re both alone without each other, i.e. being with each other makes them not alone.
dialogue from savoureux continued:
will: i know who i am. i’m not so sure i know who you are anymore. but i am certain one of us killed abigail.
hannibal: whoever that was killed the others.
hannibal: are you a killer, will? you. right now. this man, standing in front of me. is this who you really are?
will: i am who i’ve always been. the scales have just fallen from my eyes. i can see you now.
hannibal: what do you see?
will: you called here that morning. abigail knew. you kept her secrets until she found out some of yours.
hannibal: you said it felt good to kill garret jacob hobbs, will. would it feel good to kill me now?
will: garret jacob hobbs was a murderer. are you a murderer, dr. lecter?
hannibal: what reason would I have?
will: you have no traceable motive, which is why you were so hard to see. you were just curious what i would do. someone like me. someone who thinks how i think. wind him up and watch him go. apparently, dr. lecter, this is how i go.
will begins to realise hannibal is the one who killed abigail, and turns on him, raising his gun and steadying it at him. there’s a final parallel of georgia’s arc with will’s, and it’s how they’re both brought back from the dead.
how is georgia brought back from the dead? by someone seeing her and by her thinking of who she is/realising who she is. which also is what happens with will.
 will: i see you, georgia.
 will: think of who you are.
and
georgia: am i alive?
vs.
hannibal: perhaps you came here to find yourself. you killed a man in this very room.
and
will: i know who i am.
and
hannibal: are you a killer, will? right now. this man in front of me. is this who you really are?
and
will: i am who i’ve always been. the scales have just fallen from my eyes.
and
hannibal: you said it felt good to kill garret jacob hobbs, will. would it feel good to kill me now?
i subscribe to the idea that, from releves onwards at least, hannibal actually wanted will to figure out he was the copy cat killer (too long to get into it right now, but suffice to say hannibal didn’t need to frame will for all the killings, abigail was enough and will was complying with his arrest. i believe hannibal had a change of heart and didn’t want will to believe he’s become hobbs and framed will for the copy cat murders as well to make will doubt that he killed at all, and so that will would continue profiling the copy cat killer, which would lead to him seeing hannibal. hannibal misdirecting will is a test, which will passes.)
hannibal follows “perhaps you came here to find yourself” with “you killed a man in this very room”. hannibal wants will to find himself through his killing of garret jacob hobbs, not his apparent killing of the copy cat victims. hannibal wants will to find himself through his preferred choice of kills - murderers. hannibal also doesn’t attempt to talk will down or make him hand him the gun, instead he goads him into killing him, because he is so very close to making will accept that he’s a killer.
notice how will doesn’t deny that he’s a killer, and answers hannibal’s question of whether it would feel good to kill him with, “are you a murderer?” it would feel good to kill hannibal if he killed abigail, because to will, doing bad things to bad people feels good.
most see this scene as hannibal finally taking the mask off and being seen for who he is, but the seeing goes both ways. hannibal sees will for who he is as well, someone who kills for righteous reasons, not a killer who’s subliminally acting out hobbs or any other killer’s wishes (even if hannibal did actually want will to believe he killed the copy cat victims and miscalculated on will’s tenacity and strength of character, it still holds true that in this moment he’s seeing will as a righteous killer). will is also affirmed of his identity, he didn’t get lost inside anyone’s head, he didn’t kill anybody because of his illness, he’s not garret jacob hobbs, he knows who he is. will, feeling betrayed and furious, brings the gun up to shoot hannibal, who is saved by jack at the last minute. this is will’s rebirth, or at least a return from the dead, a throwback to georgia being brought back from the dead by will.
and consider will’s last words before he blacks out, a fitting addendum to all that just went down:
see? you see?
EDIT : to add to all this, i was informed by someone’s tags on one of my posts that “the scales have fallen from my eyes” is a biblical reference. “And immediately there fell from his eye as it had been scales: and he received sight forthwith, and arose, and was baptized.” (Acts 9:18)  
baptism is seen as a kind of rebirth in the christian faith, which adds further support to the idea that will was born anew after being freed from garret jacpb hobbs ghost. further, hannibal is will’s own personal “god”, and this is the start of will’s initiation into hannibal’s doctrine and set of beliefs.
BONUSES
THE MOTIF OF FIRE
throughout the show, fire is transformative in nature. in ko no mono, as will says, “fire destroys and it creates. it is mythical”.
as will comments when he and the science team discuss her after she is seemingly burnt in the wheelchair, “freddie won’t rise from the ashes, but her killer will”. freddie’s death would have triggered will’s rebirth into a killer, had it have happened, and it’s not a coincidence that it’s in this episode that will’s “coffin birth” happens, when he emerges from the ravenstag’s womb into a half-formed manifestation of the man stag. half-formed, because will didn’t actually kill freddie, and so didn’t actually transform into the stagman, or hannibal’s monstrous alter ego.
in mizumono, hannibal burns his patient files, and we see will’s files and the disfigured clock amongst the flames. as hannibal says, “i’m dismantling who i am and rebuilding it brick by brick”. the burning of the files symbolises the death of hannibal and will’s previous lives as therapist and patient, and the start of their new lives as equals and partners.
we also have the repeated imagery of the burning wheelchair in season 3, this time with frederick chilton. setting up chilton is the start of will’s rebirth in the S3b arc, the climax of which is his slaying of dolarhyde together with hannibal.
finally, francis dolarhyde also gets a cameo, in the number of the beast is 666, he kidnaps reba to tell her who he is and burns down the house they’re in, and though he’s unable to kill her, he emerges from the ashes with the dragon fully taking over and with all traces of humanity gone with the severing of his relationship with reba. reba is also changed, from an innocent to a survivor.
in season 1, we see this fire symbolism as well. in coquilles, will hallucinates his head burning in the gaze of the angel maker, as the angel maker tells him he can give him the majesty of his becoming. will’s head burning is a stand-in for the encephalitis, and the angel maker a stand-in for hannibal, as hannibal is utilising the encephalitis as a tool to bring about will’s becoming.
in buffet froid, dr. sutcliffe also tells hannibal that he set will’s mind on fire by letting will’s encephalitis go unchecked. will is reforged in the flames of his illness into a brighter, clearer version of himself.
georgia’s painful death by immolation in season 1 also represents a rising killer - the copy cat killer. it’s with georgia’s death that will begins putting the pieces together and starts connecting the copy cat murders.
SEEING AND BEING SEEN
the concept of “seeing” is a repeated motif in the show.
we’ve already covered how for will and georgia, that being seen is what brings them back to life, but I’d like to further explore the concept in support of the theory.
in roti, will goes to hannibal’s office with gideon in tow (who he’s hallucinating as hobbs), and tries to confirm that what he’s seeing is real.
will: who do you see?
hannibal: i don’t see anyone.
will panics and finally sobs, “what is happening to me?” after pleading with hannibal not to lie to him. the language used here is very important, it’s hannibal saying he doesn’t see, which leads will to believe he’s going crazy, and will believing he’s crazy, as we already know, makes him believe he’s garret jacob hobbs, which further makes him believe he’s dead, or non-existent.
hobbs/gideon even disappears from his seat at the table after hannibal says he doesn’t see anyone. why? because now will believes he’s hobbs, which is further evidenced when he tracks down gideon outside alana’s house and sees hobbs in place of gideon, telling him, “now i’m you” (i just want to point out the brilliancy here. as soon as will believes he’s hobbs, hobbs disappears, or will disappears because will believing he’s hobbs makes him disappear from reality).
hannibal: there’s no one there will. we’re alone. you came here alone.
after hannibal says he doesn’t see anyone, he also says will is alone. i don’t think i need to explain the connotations here.
this might also be why will repeating his name and the time to himself like hannibal told him to to help him get a grip on reality didn’t help at all, because one’s existence cannot be asserted by oneself, we need other people to make sense of our place in the world.
in sakizuke, as will re-enacts the making of the eyeball mural, he lays out the muralist’s thought process:
i made you pliable. molded you. set and sealed you where you lay. this is my design. a dead eye of vision and consciousness. i am fixed and unseeing ... unless someone else sees me.
will says the eye at the centre of the mural is a “dead eye” which is “fixed and unseeing” up until someone else sees it.
will then says the muralist being there is “not my design”, meaning it was not the muralist’s intention to be in the centre of his masterpiece at all.
and in a flashback, we’re shown what happened. it was hannibal who interfered:
hannibal: when your great eye looked to the heavens, what did it see?
muralist: nothing.
hannibal: not anymore.
muralist: there is no god.
hannibal: certainly not with that attitude. god gave you purpose. not only to create art, but to become it.
muralist: why are you doing this to me?
hannibal: your eye will now see god reflected back. it will see you. if god is looking down at you, don't you want to be looking back at him?
previously, jack had said the muralist must have had an existential crisis. hannibal sewing the muralist into his own mural was him fixing that for him, so that the muralist can be affirmed of his existence and purpose in the world by seeing god and being seen in return.
the eyeball mural is also supposed to represent will and hannibal’s relationship, which is why in will’s visualisation of the scene he’s in the place of the muralist and hannibal in the place of god - as will says, “a challenge of equals”. and think of what it means to be seen by god - that doesn’t imply a normal, ordinary state of being seen, god is omniscient, he sees all of you. just like hannibal sees all of will, the good and the bad.
in secondo, when will meets the prisoner, chiyoh forbids will to even look at him, saying he lost that privilege with his act of killing mischa. chiyoh further goes on to say that he’s only allowed “the sound of water. it’s what the unborn hear”. we’re given the sense that no one looking at the prisoner, no one seeing him, renders him into a state of non-existence, to an embryonic state.
(with re: chiyoh saying the sound of water is what the unborn hear, this also relates back to will, in roti, an episode leading up to will’s rebirth, there’s a lot of water imagery - will dreaming about glaciers crashing down and flooding the beach where the  totem pole was, imagining his bed being submerged in water, telling jack, “i feel like i’m fluid, like i’m spilling”, hallucinating the morgue filling up with water, etc)
after chiyoh kills the prisoner, will makes him into the firefly tableau. just like with randall tier, this is will’s empathy granting his gift of being seen to the prisoner after his death. the prisoner lived a dark, confined existence, so with his new wings and the lights reflecting off of him and surrounding him, will, as much as he is able, sets him free after his death, giving him what he couldn’t have in life. the firefly is also the final stage of transformation from the pupal form, and therefore also represents the prisoner’s rebirth, after being “unborn” for all those years.
i’m sure i missed some more examples, but we’re shown, over and over again, that a major theme of the show, or the major theme, is that being seen and understood for who you are is what gives meaning to your existence.

All of these words float through Frank’s mind as he stares at his former best friend. Mike sat across from him, plexiglass separating them. He could barely recognize him. After talking with Andy, who was not happy about this visit, Mike was in the process of being disciplined by the California and Massachusetts BARs. The law firm he was working at had already dismissed him. Natasha Romanoff had personally contacted Abby and himself with apologies. Probably trying to avoid a lawsuit for malpractice. But Frank wasn’t worried about any of that.  His sleepless nights made him come to one conclusion: let Mike Weiss know he was never going to hurt his family again.  Mike laughed when he saw Frank sitting there. When Frank picked up the phone, so did he.  
“Hi Mike.” 
“Hello, homewrecker.”  
Frank had to swallow the anger. He needed answers.  Answers that only Mike could provide. But he didn’t know what to say.  
“What? Got nothing to say?” Mike taunted him. “I’m locked up and you are with my cheating good for nothing whore of an ex-fiancé.”  
Frank narrowed his eyes. “Don’t call her that.”  
Mike scoffed. “I’ll call her whatever the fuck I want. Abby left me for you. I know you two were sleeping together before she broke it off with me. I’m just calling a spade, a spade.” 
“Look, it wasn’t intentional, ok?”   
“Not intentional. Bullshit. You were upset that I got the girl.” Mike smirked. “I had you beat.”  
“And yet, she still came back to me.” The smile dropped on Mike’s face as Frank’s grin grew. “She has always been mine. We just found our way back to each other. And now we have a family with my Mary.”  
The mention of Mary draws a snarl of from Mike.  “What the fuck do you want?” 
“I just have one question.”  
“Which is?” 
“Why? Why did you let Diane into your home and attack Abby? Why did you kidnap my daughter?”

Abby sat on the cold metal chair across from Diane. She was just like how she remembered her. Before the attack, before she abandoned Mary. Before she was with Mike.  Her hair was longer, the long blonde stands pulled away from her face. Abby assumed her face would be hallow from being on the run but no, her cheeks were full.  The only thing that made her think this was a different Diane from her childhood was her eyes.  Her eyes were sad, full of remorse, sorrow, guilt.  She noted that Diane was cuffed to the table, and she was able to relax her shoulders a bit.  
“Hi Diane,” she greeted softly.  
“Abby. I’m surprised to see you here.”  
“Yeah, me too.” Abby looked down.  “How- How are you?” 
Diane cocked her head with curiosity at her question. “I’m ok. They put me on meds and my head is clear.”  Diane chewed her bottom lip. “How’s Frank?” 
“He’s good. A little sad.”  
“Sad?” 
“Because he lost his sister.”  Abby looked at her sadly. “You have no idea the damage you have done to him. To Mary. To me.”  She gave a hard look. “Why Diane? Why him?” 
“You wouldn’t understand.”  Diane leaned back.  
“Try me. Because he manipulated me to be with him and I lost five years with the love of my life.”  
Diane looked away.

Rage took over Mike’s face.  “Mary is MINE! I’ll prove it, you motherfucker.”  
“You can’t have her,” Frank said calmly. “She is mine and I won’t give up fighting for her.  I’m her father. And you are nothing but her sperm donor.  You raped my sister and left her when she was pregnant. You told my baby sister to abort her baby.  You don’t have any right to call yourself Mary’s father.”  
“Well obviously she didn’t,” Mike sneered. “I will do everything I can to take away Mary from you. Your life will be hell, I promise you that."  
“You’ll do shit! Why did you attack my wife?”  
“I owe you nothing Adler.” Mike leaned back. “I’ll take that one to the grave.”  
Frank stood up. “Fine, don’t tell me. Abby is in Boston, seeing Diane.  We’ll get the answers we are looking for. See you at trial.”  He hung up and could see Mike screaming at him through the glass.  Guards came over to restrain him.  
Frank was disappointed.  Not so much as not getting the answers he wanted but because his friend was now a drugged out mess, not even a piece of the good man he once knew remained.  Frank had his driver take him back to the airport. He needed to hug his daughter.

“I always had a crush on Mike. He was my brother’s best friend. Older guy. Forbidden.” Diane gave a sad smile. “I didn’t think I had a chance in hell. But one day he noticed me. You and my brother were so wrapped up in each other and I didn’t notice how obsessed Mike was with you.”   
“Did he... did he take advantage?” 
“No,” she shook her head. “He talked and touched my face so sweet.  He spent days with me when you guys started dating. He told me I was beautiful and he... he could see a future with me.”  A single tear fell from her eye. “I believed him.”  
Abby took in a shuddering breath. “Why were you in my house?” 
“Mike came back into my life. He found me in Seattle and said that he found a way for us to be together. That he knew who made me like this. He gave me a shot and when I woke up, I was in a hotel.” 
“You don’t remember?” Abby frowned. “Anything?” 
Diane shook her head.  “No. I know what happened because the police told me.”  
Abby sat back. She looked at Antonio, who had a look of sadness. “I’m sorry that happened to you Diane.  Thank you for talking with me.”  She stood up with Andy and Antonio following her lead. “I’ll see you later.”  
Diane sobbed and Andy took a hold of Abby to stop her from comforting Diane.  He led her out and once outside, Abby collapsed into her brother’s arms, crying for the pain her friend had endured.

Abby was quiet the entire flight home.  Andy kept glancing at her as she sat with her eyes closed.  He sent a message to Frank 
A: It was bad  F: Fuck, is she ok?  A: I think so. The story Diane told was heartbreaking  F: Has Cricket said anything?  A: No.  F: OK, I’ll see you when you land 
At the airport, Abby and Andy made their way out,with Andy guiding her around.  She was staring at the ground when she heard, “hey Cricket.” She looked up to see Frank standing at the door, a single pink rose in his hand.  She dropped the bag and ran into his arms, wrapping her legs around him. The sobs that she had contained from Boston to LA came spilling out. “Baby, its ok, its all gonna be ok.” He kissed her head.  
Andy walked over with Abby’s dropped bag. “Hey Frank.”  
“Thank you, Andy, for flying back with her.”  
“Not a problem, had some stuff to finish in our LA office.” He shrugged. “Is it still ok to stay with you?” 
“Course man. Let’s get you guys home.” He set Abby down, grabbed her bag and walked her and Andy to the car. Arriving home, Abby raced inside, still nothing spoken. Frank and Andy exchanged a look before heading inside. It was early, the house still calm. Abby stood in the doorway of her daughter’s bedroom. She watched for a moment, Mary sleeping in her bed, Dodger at her feet. A single tear slides down her face.  The tragic story of her conception, how her parents didn’t love her enough, that Frank and Abby had to pick up the pieces and love a girl that was not their own. But Abby did love, she loved that little girl with everything she had. As she stared, her only thought was ‘Her baby girl was safe.’  Carefully, she crawled into the bed with her.  Mary turned into Abby and sighed happily, her unconscious state recognizing that Abby was cuddling with her.  
When Frank looked in, his heart clenched at the sight of mother and children in bed together. Abby had quickly fallen asleep with her arms wrapped around Mary.  Not one to miss out on a snuggle, Frank kicked off his shoes and climbed in as well, wrapped his arms around his family and went back to sleep.

Mike was extradited to Massachusetts the following week and was charged with kidnapping and child endangerment. He pled not guilty and decided to represent himself.  He hadn’t been disbarred yet. “There is nothing else we can do right now,” Andy explained. “The protection order is already in place. Now we just have to wait.”  
Frank returned to the team, working on winning the division. Their final challenge was a familiar foe: the San Francisco Giants. Facing Mike’s new best friend, Bobby, would be difficult but as long as Frank kept his mouth shut, it would be fine.  A three game series in September was the epitome of baseball.  A time for summer to end and fall to take over.  
The first two games were uneventful as Bobby was out with a bruised knee.  But he was cleared to play for the Sunday finale.  The Dodgers needed the win in order to avoid a playoff and win the division.  It was a beautiful September Sunday, perfect weather for a game.  Abby, Scott, Steve and Mary were in the family box, watching their favorite player take the field.  San Francisco was up at bat first.  
Frank concentrated on the batter.  Of course, it was Fuller. Johnny ended up walking him and he jogged over to first base. Frank scowled but kept his mouth shut.  
“Sup Adler.” Fuller smiled. “Long time no talk.”  Frank said nothing.  “What? You’re not going to talk to me. That’s mature.”  
“I’m not talking to you because I don’t want to get kicked out of this game or end up in jail.” Frank turned away from Fuller and concentrated on the game.  The next batter popped a fly ball, and the second baseman was able to turn it into a double play.  Fuller headed back into the dugout, a smirk on his face.  
Frank rolled his eyes and went back to the game.  A few innings later Bobby was back on first base after hitting a ground ball to left field. “You still mad that Abby left you?” 
“Nope.”  
Fuller watched him carefully.  “You know it wasn’t personal for me Frankie Boy. Mike just said the right things at the right time.”  
“Is that right?” 
“Yeah.” 
“Cool.  Then maybe you can explained why he let my drugged out sister in his home with Abby and let her beat the crap outta her? Or the fact that he kidnapped my daughter.”  Frank got right into Bobby’s face, causing the first base coach to try to intervene.  “Can you explain how you let that psycho near my family, and yet you feel nothing?!” He shoved Bobby to the ground.  “Fuck you and fuck him!  I will have my day in court where I take that son of a bitch down.  And I’ll take you down with him if you speak to me or go near me and family again.” Frank shook off Johnny who was holding in back.  
“You’re gone Adler,” the umpire said.  
Frank walked without causing another scene.  In the locker room, he threw his hat and glove in rage.  “FUCK!”  He grasped the table to try and calm himself.  
“Frankie?” 
Frank whipped around to see Abby in the doorway.  “Cricket, I...” 
“Are you ok?” She cut him off.  
He shook his head. “No. Fuller, he... fuck, he got to me Cricket.  How could he do it?  How could he help that fucker hurt you and Mary. He was my best friend on the team and he...” Frank finally broke down and cried into Abby’s shoulder. He had been so strong for so long. Abby stroked his back and let him come to terms with the truth.  
“Baby, you have been our rock this year. Let it out, ok?” 
 “I love you, Cricket, so much.”  
“I love you too, Frankie.”

As the family made it home, Frank’s cell rang. “It’s Andy.”  Scott ushered Mary to her room as Abby and Frank answered the call.  “Hey Andy.”  
“Hi Frank.  Is Abby with you?” 
“I’m here.”  
“Ok good.”  he sighed. “Mike was given bail and he made it. He’ll be released by tomorrow.”  
“Fuck,” Frank mumbled.  
“That’s not the worst of it. He’s filed a motion to block the adoption.”  
“What?” Abby whispered. “Why?” 
“Just like we thought. On the grounds that he is Mary’s natural father and has not given up his rights. The motion states that the block is to allow time for him to sue for custody. There is a court date in a week from Monday on the motion.”  
“We'll fight,” Frank said.  “We’ll find a way show the courts that he is an unfit father and to make him go away. I refuse to let that son of a bitch tear apart this family.” 
“Frankie...” Abby started  
“No Abigail. I’m not gonna stop until we have that paperwork that says to the world that Mary is ours, just like she’s been since she was born.”

i would apologize for being this late on this but one this is for funsies and two i was just in hell (two weeks of law school finals) so i'm catching up

Why we don’t have to Mercymourn (yet): a TLT theory.
Major spoilers for Harrow the Ninth ahead; read at your own risk!
To be blunt: I firmly believe Augustine will call Mercymorn back from the River.
For this, we obviously need one big thing to be true: Augustine has to be alive. So, let’s start with that.
We know he was swallowed up by the stoma, but we do not know what the stoma is. The only things we have are Gideon’s perception and a handful of clues from chapter 36.
The first time we hear of the stoma is Mercymorn’s quote about Ulysses:

Ulysses is, according to Mercymorn, “languishing in Hell”, meaning she doesn’t necessarily believe he’s dead, and no one disputes this claim. First off, this means Ulysses is likely still alive if the RBs in the stoma didn’t get to him already. Second, it implies that none of the Lyctors seem convinced you’ll die if you’re absorbed by the stoma.

At the end of the chapter, we get John’s explanation of the (or as he says, a) stoma. It’s a portal, and considering even John doesn’t know what lies beyond it, no one can be sure it really is Mercymorn’s “Hell”. Moreso, this place -- whatever it may be -- sounds like a very tempting place for people fighting John. It’s the only place he doesn’t have power over.
Considering all this, I’m fairly certain Augustine did not die. As much as he might’ve hoped to wrestle John into the stoma, I think he might even have been prepared for events to turn out this way.
Now, assuming Augustine is alive in the stoma, we arrive at the next point: calling back Mercymorn.
Sure, Mercy wanted to die in the nearest sun, but you can’t prepare an insane(ly risky) plan like this without having at least one backup plan for when all goes to hell. (Literally, in this case.) There had to be a way for her to return from the dead, if it ever got that far before it was all over.
We’ve already seen two possibilities of bubbles in the River, and an insanely persistent revenant in the form of Wake. This is important information that’s most likely going to play a part in the next books, and means Mercymorn might’ve prepared something similar.
But there’s more important information that wasn’t quite used to its full potential in HtN: Augustine is a spirit magician. He founded the Fifth House, the House of Abigail Pent, the genuis who was able to work out everything that went on in Harrow’s bubble. The Fifth are skilled at spirit magic, and I can’t even imagne how skilled their founder, a Lyctor who had 10.000 years to hone his craft, might be.
Tamsyn Muir does not generally give us information without making it come back in interesting and unexpected ways. Except for Augustine’s plunging the mithraeum into the River, we have never seen him use his necromantic powers at all. Yet I’m pretty sure John mentions Augustine’s proficiency with spirits at least once or twice. He mentions it enough for it to be significant, yet Augustine’s powers aren’t shown in a very surprising way. (Yes, except for the River scene. But that wasn’t as much of a bang as it could’ve been, considering it followed after Mercy’s assassination attempt and John knitting himself back together.)
So say they both went into this with the plan that, if Mercymorn would be killed, Augustine could bring her back. We know that in order to summon someone, you’ll ideally have to use blood*. And Augustine just so happened to fall into the stoma with Mercy’s blood still on his chest.
We know (or at least suspect) Lyctors can extract blood from their clothes in a matter of seconds. We’ve seen G1deon do this after Harrow attacked him during dinner:

So it’s strange that when John kills Mercymorn, Augustine doesn’t cleanse himself of her blood. Well-dressed, antique-wearing Augustine, who seems to value his clothes and appearance so much. For a while I attributed this to sentiment; an unwillingness to scrape the remnants of his passionately hated ally from his own chest. But combined with his still relatively unused skills in spirit magic, Abigail’s mention of needing blood to tempt spirits, and the fact that we don’t know what lies beyond the stoma, I’m not so sure anymore.
(nona the ninth chapter 1 spoilers incoming!!)
But what if Augustine calls Mercymorn back? Perhaps we’ll get another Camilla and Palamedes situation. I just don’t believe Tamsyn Muir set up that relationship with that reveal, only to discard them for the next two books in the series. There’s too much history there, too much build-up, for both Augustine and Mercy to be discarded this way.
Augustine is coming back, and I’m sure he’s taking Mercymorn with him.

"The Born-Again Identity" is one of those SPN ep that I like despite the fact that there are so many things in it that drive me a little bit insane (truth be told, in part it's only my fault cause I can never completely turn up the "suspension of disbelief" volume and I go to a default "but why?" mindset everytime I see something on screen, so okay it's a *just me* problem). However, I do think that S7 was not that bad and it had some quite intriguing and original ideas while the execution was... well, let's say clunky. So, all in all, I think this episode is kinda cool.
the things that drive me a little bit insane:
the imagery of sam desperately running alone in the night along some tracks in a supposedly dangerous part of town. The "derailing" and "going off the tracks" symbolism was a bit on the nose; him buying drugs from the "tweaker" and sleeping with the guy in his car: mmm I feel like that was, like. a lot. to be just thrown away like that.
sam being admitted to the hospital with no mention of said drugs use and the whole scene with the doctor telling dean that they had to put sam in the locked psychiatric floor. I don't know, it also feels like.a lot. and.all of a sudden. they could ease into that way better, it's too ham-fisted as in: we have to find a way to put sam in an horror asylum-like facility in less than 5 minutes for the ep to make sense. so that what feels like to me.
daphne. everything about her drives me insane. I have a whole story where she has to clean up the mess dean has made and hide the body of the demon or something. she'll later start her own private hero's journey to find emmanuel and bring him back to their white picket fence life so perfect and so based on manipulation and stockholm syndrome.
the demons showing up at the grocery store. like what? it was established just a few scenes before when dean told the demon that he was "hands-off" or something and that the demon was actually looking for emmanuel. so why oh why would the other demons look for dean when there's emmanuel.alone.in.the.car. nonsense.
that one demon torturing sam with the electroshock. what was the point? why were demons there anyway? weren't the brothers hands off? maybe i missed something here but to me just felt like "asylum ep= electroshock scene is a must" and meh.
sam leaving the hospital.just.like.that and "swapping place" with cas. i'm sorry, what? i won't even comment on meg being suddenly hired as a nurse cause okay i want to give the writers that, but wtf? oh okay, this guy that has just showed up here (and has definitely possibly murdered 4 or 5 people at the entrance) is maybe not okay, let's not call his wife or someone, let's just lock him up. whaaaaat?
the quite intriguing and original ideas:
the cas/sam parallel: they are both evidently mentally unstable for very different reasons. cas has, in a way, "left the life" and dean, of all people!!!, is not 100% cool with him regaining his memories because what if he leaves???? sam is quite literally very close to leave life in general because the trauma is affecting his body in an irreversible way. they are both "born" again identities at the beginning and at the end of the episode. Very cooooool.
sam and lucifer interactions: the actors really did their job well in this ep cause everytime I watch it I'm exhausted, like I can't bear to hear Lucifer talk and talk and taunt and I definitely feel worn out like sam. I think Jared works very well with Mark Pellegrino, too bad that the whole Lucifer storyline was a mess in later seasons cause the actors had great chemistry.
meg. every scene with meg is just joy for me. and her storyline? left alone looking for "friends"? sure, she totally plans to use cas as her ally but what's new? (jokes aside, there's a whole pattern of women manipulating and using cas, am i the only one seeing it???).
marin. first of all, hello abigail????? (hannibal memories flooding in). second of all, cool MoTW-Not-So-Much-MoTW story. ofc she's a sam's mirror used to basically explain what happened to sam but the ghost who's tormenting her is also her brother and he must die-die-die because he won't let her go. hello??? paralleling sam's hallucinations with sam's issues with dean was super intriguing and too bad that the MoTW was Not-So-Much-MoTW cause marin's story was maybe not even 8 minute long.
bonus: "Peace of Mind" from S14 echoes this ep brillianty, they even cast one of the same actors (the doctor/the mayor) and they used the same surname for sam (sam smith/justin smith). cool cool cool (although unrelated to s7).

A shitty late night drabble about Coriolanus and Abigail and their toxic relationship inspired by the lyrics of Walls Could Talk by Halsey :)

Been about three days and I'm comin' back I'm about four minutes from a heart attack And I think you make me a maniac But you don't know, oh
It had been three days since Abigail’s last exchange with Coriolanus Snow. a dangerous dance between passion and turbulence, left her teetering on the edge of emotional chaos. The toxic nature of their connection manifested in frequent conflicts, transforming arguments into battlegrounds where the lines between love and frustration blurred. The prolonged silence between their fights heightened her sense of unease, amplifying the feeling of insanity and stirring a storm of doubt within. But it had been three days, she missed his touch, and he had said sorry. So she came back to him even though she felt crazy for forgiving so easily.
Two years and we in between But we both been here since we 17
This relationship had been on and off for two years now, and right now she wasn't quite sure where they stood. Were they together again, were they not together again? She was sure that they were together but she knew she shouldn't just assume. They had been together since they were 17, she couldn't imagine life without him, even if it meant she had to put up with things she would never dare mention out loud to her friends.
Here we go, fist fight in a limousine But they don't know
The atmosphere inside the limousine took an unexpected turn when Abigail realized Coriolanus was already drunk. Tensions escalated when she confronted him, and what began as a disagreement morphed into a heated confrontation, which then turned into a tumultuous fistfight. The confined space of the luxurious vehicle intensified the emotional storm, with emotions reaching a boiling point. Bruised and emotionally drained, they arrived at the party, and before exiting the limousine, they both straightened up and put smiles on their faces, pretending the past 10 minutes hadn’t happened as they walked into the party, acting like the perfect couple that everyone thought they were.

It was unspoken between the two of them that the relationship should have ended long ago, yet they couldn't help but hold on to a love that had already expired. It was an undiscussed topic, whether they should finally call it quits or not, Both continuing to pretend that this tumultuous relationship wasn't hurting them. 
And I'm thinking, "Damn, if these walls could talk" Well, they'd be like "Shit is crazy, right?" I ain't your baby no more
As she navigated the charade at the party, she couldn't shake the weight of the truth lingering in the walls of the limousine. If those walls could talk, they would unveil the heartbreaking narrative etched into their fabric—the whispers of passionate arguments, the echoes of painful turmoil, and the silent witness to a relationship veering into the realm of the inexplicable. In those moments of pretend normalcy, Abigail was acutely aware that the walls, had they possessed a voice, would have screamed the undeniable truth: that the version of love she clung to was fading, and the person she once knew as hers was slipping away. Charles and Faith Headcanons cuz I'm bored
The list is long and I didn't wanna inconvenience anyone but I'd love it if some people took a look! There are 39!
Faith fell first, and they both fell harder
Charles teaches Faith about hunting and Faith teaches Charles about fishing
Charles is the first man in camp Faith befriended, followed by Arthur, then Lenny, and John further down the line.
Charles's love language is Act's Of Service and Gifts
Faith's love language is Physical Touch and Acts Of Service
They spend time together without speaking, either sitting across from each other or next to each other with knees touching while they each focus on their own work. (Faith drawing and Charles crafting)
Charles is insanely protective without being overbearing
Faith is also very protective and worrisome
"You said you liked it so I got you 100 more"
Faith likes to paint near the horses and she always has a cup of hot coffee ready whenever she see's Charles coming back from camp guard duty.
Little gifts constantly being exchanged
Super Mild PDA and neither of them have issue showing affection to each other around camp, but nothing to to much
Charles will often put his hand on Faiths low back if they are hanging around camp or town together.
Rarely uses nicknames for one another but occasionally Faith will call him Charly, mostly as a joke.
Both are very confident flirts when alone
Charles is the first person in the gang that Faith opens up to about her past.
Faith knows how to make him smile even if its brief
Charles often when walking behind Faith with pull her back against him and kisses her on the temples/cheek.
She blushes overtime
Charles brings extra bait when they go out so Faith can have a better view and draw the animals
It took them a while to open up about their internal struggles
They rarely ever fight but when they do its because they care too much about the other.
Never really have to ask each other to do anything as they both are always paying attention to each others needs. Charles takes care of Faiths weapons and faith always makes sure he has supplies and things for crafting.
Neither of them let work get in the way of their relationship and are patient with one another.
Constantly trading knowledge and praising each other for learning new skills
Faith knows that Charles is a capable man but that doesn't stop her from worrying about him any time Arthur or Dutch call for him.
Charles reassures her that he will be alright and always comes straight for her tent whenever he had finished with whatever task/mission.
When Faith fell victim to Bill/Micah's Racism/Sexism, Charles was always the first to jump to her aid.
One day in Clemens point, Faith invites Charles to permanently stay in her tent after their relationship became more serious
No nonsense. They both say what they mean.
Faith initially disapproved of Charles and John's friendship but kept her opinion to herself. Later in Shady Belle does Faith begin to warm up to John after he finally tries with Jack and Abigail, earing Faith's respect.
The occasional camp get away where they set up their own camp near a lake or deep in the woods.
They both need their alone time, it's nothing negative they just need their time away from everyone and everything and they have no issue giving each other space when needed.
When asked in camp if they are together, They have no problems admitting to the relationship.
The only people to tease/ask about their relationship is Arthur and Karen. John later after Arthurs death.
Faith doesn't typically enjoy drawing people but she draws Charles often and the most.
She eventually attempts to draw Arthur, Hosea, Lenny, Sean and Kieran after their deaths.
Once Charles starts to pull away from the gang, Faith is insistent on her loyalty to him and if it became a choice between the gang and leaving with Charles, she would choose to leave with Charles.
Charles is a little confusing about the previous point as he had no intention of leaving Faith behind.
