It doesn't matter if American Christians in power are "doing it wrong" or if actually, Jesus said things that contradict their proclaimed values. What matters is that religious groups should not be in a position to legislate their religious beliefs such that it applies to people not beholden to that religion.
In other words, the argument that "Jesus would hate White Christian Nationalism because the Bible shows he was a radical etc etc" doesn't matter because you are meeting them on their terms. If the Bible did say that Jesus hated abortion/poor people/socialism, it still would not be acceptable for Christians to legislate on that basis.
And yet cultural Christianity has brought us to a point where we'd rather pin the problem on a new subset of Christianity whose issue is that they're misinterpreting original doctrine. Y'all have been saying, “Well, they're not Real Christians” for centuries. This is not a problem of a new sect's formation. This is an issue of separation of church & state. In political/legal contexts, it should not matter what the Bible says or doesn't say, or how anyone interprets it, because the Bible has no place in a courtroom. It's literally that simple.
Edited to add: This "The Bible actually says" tactic can have its use in deprogramming individuals who may genuinely benefit from some recognition of their own cognitive dissonance. However, using this strategy as a "gotcha" against the phenomenon as a whole has negligible practical value.

Strategies for creating conflicts between the protagonist and the antagonist that drive the story forward.
Creating conflicts between the protagonist and the antagonist is vital for driving the story forward and engaging readers. Here are some strategies to help you craft compelling conflicts:
1. Goals and Motivations: Establish clear and conflicting goals and motivations for both the protagonist and antagonist. Make sure their objectives are mutually exclusive or directly opposed to each other, creating inherent conflict.
2. Personal Stakes: Make the conflict personal for both the protagonist and antagonist. Connect their goals to their personal desires, values, or relationships. When something deeply important is at stake, the conflict becomes more intense and emotionally charged.
3. Ideological Differences: Explore ideological differences between the protagonist and antagonist. Present opposing beliefs, philosophies, or worldviews that clash throughout the story. This can lead to profound debates and arguments, driving the conflict forward.
4. Obstacles and Challenges: Introduce obstacles and challenges that stand in the way of both the protagonist and antagonist achieving their goals. These obstacles can be physical, emotional, or psychological, forcing them to confront each other in a series of conflicts.
5. Strategies and Tactics: Allow the protagonist and antagonist to employ different strategies and tactics in pursuit of their goals. Show how their contrasting approaches intensify the conflict and force them to outwit each other.
6. Reversals and Setbacks: Incorporate reversals and setbacks for both the protagonist and antagonist. Just when one gains an advantage, have the other seize an unexpected opportunity or achieve a significant breakthrough. This keeps the conflict dynamic and unpredictable.
7. Emotional Confrontations: Create moments of emotional confrontation between the protagonist and antagonist. Explore their personal histories, traumas, or vulnerabilities, and bring them to the surface during pivotal confrontations. This adds depth to the conflict and raises the emotional stakes.
8. Physical Confrontations: Include intense physical confrontations between the protagonist and antagonist. These can be action sequences, battles, or confrontations that test their strength, skills, and determination. Use these moments to escalate the conflict and heighten tension.
9. Psychological Warfare: Incorporate psychological warfare between the protagonist and antagonist. Show how they manipulate, deceive, or psychologically torment each other to gain the upper hand. This adds layers to the conflict and tests their mental fortitude.
10. Moral Dilemmas: Present moral dilemmas that force the protagonist to make difficult choices and challenge their values. Allow the antagonist to exploit these dilemmas, further fueling the conflict and testing the protagonist's resolve.

here's the reason you procrastinate
based on Fuschia Sirois' research
everyone procrastinate at some point. research suggests that almost 1 in 4 people procrastinate on a fairly regular basis, and the rates are even higher among college and university students ( 50% of them procrastinate regularly and about 85-90% do so occasionally ).
because procrastination is so common we tend not to put too much thought into it, in the end what is the problem? it's just delay.
well, it's not. actually procrastination is harmful delay ( so defined by the researchers ); it is a form of delay which is:
voluntary
unnecessary
involves important tasks which you intended to do
people often underestimate the consequences of procrastination and how debilitating and harmful it can be. if you delay dealing with ( for example ) your academic works, of course you can expect some negative results in that area, but what about the collateral consequences of it?
research has shown that people who have problems with procrastination have low physical and mental health and practice less healthy behaviors. they deal with depression, stress and anxiety.
just think about the enormous amount of stress that procrastination brings: first of all, constantly chasing deadlines. deadlines can nag anyone, even those who don't struggle with delaying, but then it ends, the job is turned in, and everything goes back to normal. for procastinators this is not the case, they will keep putting off important things and will constantly end up with an imminent deadline.
so, if it's so harmful for your health, why do people do it? some people think it's about laziness or poor time managment, but actually:
laziness isn't procrastination. if you're lazy you don't have the energy to do anything, instead procrastinators are always busy with a thousand non-essential tasks to do, in fact they avoid doing one specific task, not every task ( for example if i need to study, but i'm procrastinating it, i end up cleaning my room )
poor time managment it's actually a symptom of procrastination, not a cause.
from a psychological perspective the origins of procrastination are rooted in negative emotions and the urge to cope with them through avoidance. so actually procrastination is about poor mood managment, not poor time managment.
procrastination starts when we have a task that's unpleasant, but we have to do it. and we use procrastination then as a way to get relief from those negative emotions associated with the task, so basically it's not even about avoiding the task, but it's about avoid the negative emotions that we associate with the task.
we need to avoid stress and aversive feeling that come with the task, especially when we don't feel like we can manage those negative emotions at the moment. so we take the task, we put it aside, and it's instant relief. it's fast, it's easy and it works for a little while, then that sense of shame, guilt and self-blame starts to kick in.
so why do we keep procrastinating? for that sense of relief, because that made us feel rewarded and we tend to repeat behaviors that rewarded us. this can easily lead to a cycle of procrastination.
however, the negative thoughts that we have ( "why didn't i start earlier?", "i'm letting myself down" etc. ) don't actually make us take action. they just add layers of layers on pre-existing negativity.
so how do you get out of the procastination cycle?
go back to valuing your task, if it's so important that you do it, remind yourself why you are doing it
remember that we tend to overestimate the discomfort that a given challenge will bring us. probably your task isn't even that time-consuming, unpleasant and frustrating
be compassionate and and forgive yourself, it's an effective strategy to reduce the negative emotions associated with the task. you are not the first nor the last person to procrastinate, we are all human and we all make mistakes. research has shown that doing so reduces the risk of procastination.
hope you enjoyed this little explanation, here's my sources: https://youtu.be/xTEPNxx0MsA

The Basics of Value-Add Real Estate
In the world of single family homes, value-add is commonly referred to as fix-and-flip. You take a run-down property, reimagine it, invest money to rehab it, and sell it to a new owner, for a profit.
You receive a monetary reward for the work you put in and the risk you undertook, and the new owner gets a beautiful new property that’s move-in ready.
In the multifamily world, value-add is similar to the fix-and-flip model, but on a massive scale.

Value Add Real Estate Definition And Strategy
Value-add real estate is a real estate investment strategy that focuses on acquiring undervalued properties and implementing improvements to increase their value. This can involve physical renovations, operational enhancements, or repositioning the property within the market. The goal is to create a higher-yielding asset that can be sold at a profit or held for long-term income generation.
Tumblr media
Value-add real estate is a more hands-on investment strategy than core or core-plus real estate, which typically involves purchasing stabilized properties with steady cash flow. Value-add investors must be prepared to take on more risk in exchange for the potential for higher returns.
Value-add real estate refers to a strategy in which an investor acquires a property with the intention of making strategic improvements or operational changes to increase its value. The primary goal is to enhance the property's cash flow and overall return on investment. This strategy can be applied to various types of real estate, including residential, commercial, and multifamily properties.
Common value-add strategies include:
Renovating units to make them more modern and appealing to tenants
Improving common areas such as lobbies, hallways, and landscaping
Adding amenities such as fitness centers, swimming pools, and outdoor patios
Repositioning the property as a different type of asset, such as converting an office building into apartments
Changing the property's management to improve efficiency and reduce costs
Benefits of value-add real estate:
Potential for higher returns than core or core-plus real estate
Ability to create a unique and differentiated asset
Opportunity to participate in the revitalization of a neighborhood or community
Risks of value-add real estate:
Requires more hands-on management than core or core-plus real estate
Higher execution risk, as the success of the investment depends on the ability to implement the value-add strategy effectively
Greater exposure to market risk, as the value of the property may be more volatile than that of a stabilized asset
Value-add real estate is a good investment strategy for investors who:
Have a long-term investment horizon
Are comfortable with taking on more risk
Have experience in real estate or are willing to learn
Have a strong network of contractors, property managers, and other real estate professionals
Here are some additional tips for investing in value-add real estate:
Conduct thorough due diligence on any property you consider investing in
Develop a clear value-add strategy and estimate the costs and potential returns
Work with a team of experienced professionals who can assist you with the execution of your strategy
Monitor your investments closely and be prepared to make adjustments as needed
Value-add real estate can be a rewarding investment strategy, but it is important to understand the risks and have a solid plan in place before you invest.

Things that made the battle scene in The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe still the best battle scene I’ve ever seen:
Epic scenery
The MUSIC
The moment the music stopped and you just hear bodies colliding and shouts and the clatter of weapons. So chilling
How Peter’s battle strategies clearly reflect his experiences and values; he uses the griffin’s to essentially bomb the witch’s army and keeps Edmund safe out of range on the cliff. He uses the air space over the enemy as an important battle field which is often forgotten in fantasy battles (but was such a big deal in blitzed London)
The variety of of creatures in each army. The film uses this as a moment to world build on who lives in Narnia and establish what they value by who’s side they’re on
It emphasises how each unique creature is built different and how that effects the battle. A good example is how the tiny guy with the sword takes down the rhino (it’s a split second scene where the rhino looks like he trips but he was actually attacked)
There a unicorn, like, come on
Again, the silence that comes when the music stops just before the two armies collide. Exquisite
It’s not an overly gory battle, and it’s not made to look super grey or gritty, but it doesn’t glorify it either. It’s made to look epic but also terrible - there’s broad daylight and colour in each shot but the music adds weight to the deaths that happen
Just a huge amount of fantasy creatures that don’t look like robots. Those fauns look genuinely nervous
The way Peter consults the other leaders like the griffin and Oreius. He respects them
Peter’s glance over his shoulder to Edmund for reassurance
The way Edmund gives him a nod. SO cool.
It demonstrates how they’re both kings and although Peter is leading the army Edmund is also playing a vital role in the battle

is there a type of item that you find you sell more of? (like you sell more stickers overall?) and is there a good strategy for marketing yourself?
stickers/prints def sell more but higher value things like calendars/notebooks/large prints are more worth it value wise! usually you just need to sell a couple high value items a week to ‘make ends meet’ then have other sales inbetween! i also do commissions etc bc i like more of a safety net so i always have $ saved. as far as marketing myself i just post on social media. i never pay for views etc and just rely on my already established following. that might not be realistic to most, so make sure you built you’re own community before trying to sell your work.
i worked for a couple years before i took the leap into free lance and it rly paid off for me but i might have been lucky with my timing/following combo !
oh! to add onto this: DIGITAL GOODS!!!
digital goods like wallpapers, cross stitch patterns, ebooks, tutorials, classes, monthly subs are an amazing way to get sales as well.
as an artist who lets people use my art for free: surprisingly a VERY large chunk of my revenue comes from purely digital sales! people love to support artists they love, esp if it’s a very easy method that also benefits them. my wallpapers make me more in a year then i used to make as a retail manager, if that says anything.

It's Okay if you can handle yandere things, can you do the lin kuei trio, syzoth and raiden if they were a yander, i wanna know what's on your mind :D
tw: yandere, toxic relationships (obvs), gaslight, baby trapping, abuse (physically and mentally), death (not reader or characters), if I forgot a trigger tell me so I can add it🫡.
Raiden: -King of gaslight. -"Don't you remember I told you I was going to train? Why do you always trust her, she keeps tricking you! Don't you remember that one time?" -He didn't go out to train, no friends have ever tricked you. -It's impossible for your humble and kind boyfriend to lie to you. He only wants what is best for you. -That's why on your own accord (it's what Raiden keeps telling you) you have no friends, and don't go out. Your boyfriend already gives everything you need and want. -So when you cry alone in a corner of your room, it's just because you are the stupid one because anybody would be happy with what you have (or at least, that's what Raiden tells you).
Syzoth: -What more do you want? You already bear his children. That should be the apex of your life. -That's his strategy, always having kids, so you won't be able to go out. Syzoth taking care of food and every other basic care. -Your life will be forever centred on him and your kids, nothing else, no other important value, not even yourself. -"Act well, if you lose me, you lose yourself." -You can only nod like the mindless pawn you became.
Kuai Liang: -He is always angry, more often than not taking his anger on your body. -"Sorry fireball, I'll never do it again, I swear, stay with me. Forever." -It's never the last time he hurts you, but you believe him every time, cheeks hurting, throat purple, tears never stop flowing from your eyes. -Liang will try to keep you locked in his mansion as much as possible. No Shirai Ryu trainees should be able to see you, and you mustn't even look at other men other than him. -Or women. -The time you talked with Harumi, you couldn't even open your eyes the next day, face beaten up, and you had to take care of the wounds alone. -But every time, Liang promises that he loves you and you can't do anything other than believing him.
Tomas Vrbada: -He is the classical yandere, lovebombing you, saying that he can't live without you. -Killing every person that gets close to you; they should learn to stay in their space, those cockroaches. -Tomas can just think of you, and he'll make sure you will return the obsession. Not physically obliging you, but by eliminating every distraction that you have. -May the distractions be your friends, your parents, your pets… they all have the same value to him. -Zero.
Bi-Han: -Sadly, I think that even normal Bi-Han has toxic tendencies, mostly because he doesn't know how a normal relationship works. -You mustn't interact with other men. You mustn't have hobbies. -Your entire life should be dedicated to Bi-Han and Bi-Han only. -You won't even have the whole mansion for yourself. He'll imprison you in a small room, and he only has access to it. -Bi-Han will personally deliver anything you need, no contact with any other human being is allowed. -The cell doesn't have any window, so you can't even understand for how long you've been there. -Don't try to think too much, or you'll become crazy, just accept your fate.

You'll have a strong desire to explore, expand your horizons, and seek new experiences. Optimism and enthusiasm will be your driving forces, attracting opportunities and blessings into your life. Embrace a thirst for knowledge, engage in educational pursuits, and be open to broadening your social circle. With a positive mindset and a willingness to embrace adventure, this year promises to be an exciting and abundant chapter of personal and professional growth.
In addition to the exciting and abundant experiences, having Sagittarius rising in your solar return chart suggests that you'll be guided by a strong sense of purpose and a desire for meaning in your endeavors. You may feel a calling to align your actions with your values, seeking experiences that contribute to personal and collective growth. This spiritual and philosophical inclination will add depth and fulfillment to your year, allowing you to explore the greater purpose behind your adventures and harness the wisdom gained along the way.
✦ Pluto in the 2nd House
Pluto in the 2nd house of your solar return chart indicates a transformative and potentially powerful year in terms of finances, resources, and self-worth. You may experience significant changes and shifts in your approach to money, possessions, and material security. This placement suggests that you have the potential to delve deeply into your relationship with wealth and value, uncovering hidden patterns or subconscious beliefs that may be influencing your financial situation. Embracing these transformative energies can lead to profound personal growth, increased self-empowerment, and a redefinition of what truly matters to you in terms of material abundance.
✦ Saturn in the 3rd House
Saturn in the 3rd house of your solar return chart signifies a year focused on communication, learning, and self-expression. This placement suggests that you may encounter challenges or responsibilities in these areas, requiring discipline, patience, and perseverance to overcome. You may find yourself taking on additional responsibilities related to your intellectual pursuits, such as studying, writing, or teaching. It's a time to hone your communication skills, establish clear boundaries, and develop a structured approach to your thoughts and ideas. While it may feel restrictive at times, embracing Saturn's influence can lead to long-term growth, a solid foundation of knowledge, and the development of effective communication strategies that will serve you well in the future.
✦ Neptune in the 3rd House
Neptune in the 3rd house of your solar return chart suggests a year of heightened imagination, intuition, and creativity in the realm of communication and learning. This placement indicates that your mind may be more receptive to subtle energies, symbolism, and spiritual insights. You may find yourself drawn to artistic and mystical pursuits, such as writing poetry, exploring spiritual philosophies, or engaging in dreamwork. It's important to be vigilant about setting clear boundaries and discerning between reality and illusion. Exploring your artistic talents or engaging in creative endeavors can bring joy, fulfillment, and even potential recognition or appreciation from others.
✦ Moon Square Neptune
The Moon square Neptune aspect in a natal chart signifies a complex interplay between emotional sensitivity and the influence of Neptune's illusions. This aspect can manifest as heightened empathy and psychic abilities, but it also brings challenges such as emotional confusion, idealistic tendencies, and susceptibility to disillusionment. Nurturing creativity, developing discernment, and setting healthy emotional boundaries are essential for navigating this aspect and finding a balanced approach to emotions, intuition, and reality.
✦ Sun in 11th House
When the Sun is in the 11th house of your solar return chart, it suggests that the upcoming year will be focused on social connections, friendships, and involvement in group activities. During this year, you may find yourself seeking out like-minded individuals who share your goals and aspirations. Your social circle may expand, and you may have opportunities to connect with influential or prominent people who can support your endeavors. Kaeya had always been an efficient and hard-working individual (he had to be to support Diluc in the background as his brother rose thru the ranks after all).
He has so much free time because he completes all his work way ahead of schedule. And if he still has enough time, he adds more to the workload in secret.
And once all of that was done and over with, he makes time for everyone. He has to. He feels as if every moment has to be given to someone else.
No one knows how he does it. No one has to know.
Every mission has a dozen strategies in line, and every battle plan is made with efficiency in mind. His perfect record will not be tarnished. He can't risk it (even if it baffles others that he would willingly activate a ruin guard just to prevent a failed mission. Jean disagrees with his methods, but Kaeya can say that the results say otherwise)
He needs to be quick.
Efficient.
Perfect.
And so he comes and goes like the wind.
Kaeya values time because he knew every second counted. He can't just stand there as if he were frozen. Time could run out in an instant.
Kaeya had only been late once his entire life.
He'd rather he never be late ever again.
It took one day of being of being imperfect for everything to fall apart. On that tragic day...had he gotten there on time... then maybe...
.
.
.
" Come on, let's get moving, traveler. We're not frozen in place after all. " Kaeya teasingly says. He stiffles a giggle at the traveler's exhasperated sigh.
"Yeah yeah, we've heard enough of you calling us a slacker. Can't you be a bit more patient?" Paimon whines at him.
Kaeya snorts, but acquiesces, hiding the shaking of his hands at the thought of being idle.
He imagines hearing a clock ticking.
Kaeya knows that that is his own problem. He tries his hardest to relax as he waits for the traveler to finish whatever they're making on the alchemy table because, seriously, it is supposed to be a relaxing day. There's nothing major going on, and his schedule is once again empty as intended. What's the hurry?
Kaeya taps his foot on the ground as he waits. He wishes he could take his own damn advice when he tells others to relax.
#kaeyachi randoms#kaeya#kaeya alberich#this is actually shorter than it originally was can yall believe?#kaeya with anxiety truther there i said it#kaeya cant stand being IDLE#get it? get it?#you see that is a play of words in reference to when he is stood idle on our screens. he is one of the more verbally impatient characters#and we also see it reflected on his actions both in fighting and at work. he has a speed boost bonus and if he isnt teleporting he is#actually moving so fast that he seems like it. this is what i also concluded that results him in large amounts of free time that only amber#seemed to be hardpressed about. the people of mondstadt find him reliable and approachable despite the lax attitude and frequent nights at#angels share. we also had lore tidbits before of kaeya straight up saying he finished all his work and jean saying that he also did the#backlogged ones. It is actually insane that we hear him relaxing frequently and i bet its not because of the lack of horses COZ LOOK AT HOW#BUSY THE OTHER CAPTAINS ARE. Also id like to think that he is a toned down noelle and that is why jean told him to watch over her training#give us noelle and kaeya interactions pls i kinda need it tbh#to all those that reached this far into the notes i actually have more to say so get ready#if it wasnt clear the only day he was late was when crepus died. everything fell apart for him that day so i can see some obsessive need to#just keep running around and doing things as efficient as possible. I also think that he found the knights slow and inefficient in several#occasions and he is willing to put them in the line of fire just to get their hearts pumping with adrenaline (and fear lol). idk kaeya is#just so anxiety-coded. impatience-core. Mr. dont waste my time type of guy. and also wow look i found a way to make his idles become angst#silly me ehe#oh youre still here? how about i tell you that kaeya-efficiency-alberich probably knows where everyone is at any time of the day?#can we honestly please give him more free time i need more of him tbh#fun reminder that bro is working around 3-4 jobs casually lmao#i also just realized that the notes is a whole nother post on its own#AND THE ACTUAL FUNNY PART IS I CAN STILL ELABORATE MORE ON THIS LMAO#wait let me add this one tiny idea too but he thinks time is so valuable. bro lost 2 dads and lost time with his bro + he significantly#lessened his time at dawn winery for quite some time. i can see why he is extroverted now.
