Doing crowd work with my fans while performing is SUCH A DREAM FOR ME OMG. That's like one my main reasons I'm excited to have a concert because I want to interact with my audience; exchanging glances, throwing stuff for one of them to have and of course performing at my best.

Okay okay, I know I have yapped in the past about being excited to meet BTS, but first, let me name a list of groups/idols I am so hyped to be in a 2-foot radius of because sometimes a girl cant help but shriek at the thought of them🙈:

NEWJEANS ||

I FUCKING LOVE THESE GIRLS SO MUCH NO ONE GETS IT. Just a little fun fact, MKB(my own gg) is considered to be like an older sister gg to NEWJEANS because they are both famous 5 member girl groups. Some people even say that NEWJEANS' aesthetic is like a younger sister to MKB's; even though MKB isn't all that "mature" it does give off an older sister feel in contrast to NEWJEANS' AND ITS SOOO CUTEEE😭😭

WONYOUNG — IVE ||

In my dr, Me and Wony are really good friends, and we have each others contacts. I've gone to battle for her in my tiktoks and tweets against antis (I am very much popular for this too since it's considered controversial to speak out in defence for another idol and she isn't the only idol I've fought for😭😭) cus she's literally the sweetest idol ever?? I actually love her to death.

CHAEYOUNG, NAYEON, SANA, MOMO — TWICE ||

In my opinion all of TWICE is so cute and I freaking love them all, but I am closest to these four. They're some of my closest girl friends because they were the first friends i made (other than my members lmao) and I love them all so much please I can't wait to meet them (especially since MKB and TWICE both exist under JYP so we're basically always hanging out)

BTS ||

No, because you guys. the dating, fighting and relationship rumours that are gonna be floating around me are gonna be CRAZYY cus of how many frequent interactions I have with the group/ the members individually and how much i talk about them because I am SO down bad for them PLEASE (but we can't let them and army know you guys shhh🤫) and I also just be having the LOUDEST MOUTH EVER🏃🏾‍♀️🏃🏾‍♀️

But aside from how badly I want each and every one of them, Me and MKB are super cool friends with BTS; usually, 1 or 2 of us will visit them for whatever reason needed and whatever occasion like watching them behind the scenes, sometimes, we will appear on their lives in person or on phone (cus we have each others contacts😝🤞🏾), we always wish them happy birthday (as they do back to us), and few times some of us will make special appearances on their game challenges on RUN BTS too.

Also, I'd say I'm closest to being with Jungkook, Jimin, Namjoon, and Taehyung- BUT I get along very well with Yoongi, Jin, and Hoeseok too. I just hangout with those 4 the most out of all of them. [EDIT// Actually I do hang out with Jin too what am I talking about]

STRAYKIDS AND ATEEZ ||

💭 — LIVESTREAMS AND BIRTHDAYS

MKB is most infamous (other than our music of course) for our ridiculous lives. But my favourite kind of live is the birthday one. The moment of appreciation and love sent from fans and the celebration from my family members and staff is so precious and important to me. The thought into the gifts and the messages mean so much more to me than what anyone could imagine and it gives so much meaning to birthdays because they are so important to me.

🍊 — PRODUCING, FILMMAKING AND BTS

I have always been a big music nerd and my urge to produce music for a loving and interested fanbase makes me feel so warm. it's just what my silly little heart was made to do.

I have also been super interested in being involved with the work behind the scenes , not just being in the scenes of our music videos. I really want to have a say in what the concept of the video to match the music will look like, the outfit ideas, the hidden lore in the videos. It's just such a dream come true for me, and I'm even excited for whatever travelling needs to be done, too.

💭 — STUPID SPECULATIONS/RUMOURS ?

Being nosey and attention seeking is a deadly combo. Always gotta know something, always gotta be talked about somehow (and I usually prefer the fake dating allegations cus they're just so funny and sometimes cute depending on who I'm being shipped with lol)

🍊 — FOOD

I am THE BIGGEST foodie there is I swear. I have always craved and cried to eat real Korean (and East asian) food without thinking about my money or my skin as well as usual meals too and as much as I want (because I scripted my manager let's me eat anything I want since I don't gain weight (I scripted this for all idols tbh cus I just want to see wony eat SOMETHING😭🙏🏾))

💭 — V.I.P STUFF

When I say VIP stuff, I mainly mean 1st class vacations and trips. I freaking LOVE exploring and travelling.. ON LAND. When I shift though, this will be my first time flying on a plane and I'm kinda excited, kinda frightened. I have a slight fear of heights so I'm gonna have to brave through it and try not to throw up or something.

🍊 — FANMADE GIFTS (fanimations, fanfictions, fan art, real life gifts, fan edits, etc.)

I am so freaking hyped for this stuff you guys stop. One of my main love languages is gift giving and receiving, and I already get so hyped when I get a gift on a random day from a family memeber😭😭.

The fan edits and fanfiction are gonna be crazy tho omg the ships..😭😭😭 (I WILL be looking out for the ship fanfics best believe.)

💭 — GOOGLEBOX BUT ITS KPOP IDOLS

"STOP TALKING ABOUT GOOGLEBO-" STFU AND LISTEN HOE🤬

Okay, so before I explode for excitement, I had this idea to make take the Googlebox celebrities and make a K-pop idols edition, and it couldn't be more perfect. Of course, you might be worried about how little privacy and time to myself off camera I may have now that I've added this into my dr, but never worry!

I scripted MKB to get 2 weeks to a month long breaks depending on stuff like exhaustion, injuries, meeting families, or just having a well-deserved vacation. I also scripted that our fanbase is very respectful of our space and don't bombard us if we're spotted in public.

Imo this is the most likely event for Sunday, and let me explain why. (leaks from the QSMP discord)

First of all, earlier Quackity mentioned being on a plane. Why is this relevant? Well the only way to get to Korea is by plane. However, 14 hours later, he tweeted that he had lied about the plane. Now why would he do this?

This is, of course, because BTS had been testing the mod and realized that Korean wasn't working. For some reason, whoever coded the translate mod had mixed up the language files and replaced Korean with Spanish, specifically Spanish with a Korean accent. (Tbf I don't blame them, the file was named something like QSMP_language_file_v3_finalFINALVERSION_KOR_Korean_Hangul_Accented_Spanish_ESPANOL, and obvi if ur screen is small the last part would get cut off).

Now Quackity is in a predicament. He's very smart, obviously, so he cancelled his plane immediately and actually got a 70% refund even though he was technically canceling within the 24hr window. And then he got in a call with admins. I was actually in this call (they added me on accident) and although I don't speak or understand Spanish I was able to comprehend everything perfectly (they were speaking English).

Basically, they were screwed. BTS themselves had scheduled out time to make a guest appearance on the QSMP, this was huge! MASSIVE!! But the translator wasn't working: what were they going to do? Now naturally my first instinct was oh, well they can speak English, right? But I should've held in my trust of Quackity and the entire admin team, bcuz their creativity and problem solving is as always off the charts.

One of the admins (not going to name anyone for privacy reasons) had been doing a project on their spare time. Eggsonas, of course, have been a trend on and off since the first adoption day. And this admin had been making all sorts of models. It just so happened, by a stroke of luck, that they had made 7 bts eggs!!!!! Everyone was so excited about it, the entire call was shouting for a good minute lol. I actually had to take out my earbuds.

Eggs, of course, cannot speak. This solved the translator problem flawlessly, as the sign and book translators were working as normal. It also gave the BTS members an extra 2 hours to play on the server! (previously their managers had allocated 2 hours for them to find/create minecraft skins, which obviously is now unneeded.) It's a win-win-win.

Now on to analyzing the teasers: firstly, you'll notice the Update accounts tweets. These are, of course, referencing how bts have both touched and eaten ice and ice cream. Also, as true fans will know, bts just recently broke their freezer and had to mop everything up. It's a nice red herring given the previous ice imagery in teasers, and we all know Quackity loves his trickery.

Secondly, the seven outlined in grass. Grass has been a prominent feature in many BTS music videos. Some say it's even a staple of their work. For example, in their 4th music video there is grass on the ground, to represent how growing up has made them more grounded. Nextly, the seven. Obviously there are seven members, but combined with grass this is actually a double hint: BTS was active for seven years between 2013 and 2020 during which they released songs. This is a special number for them because of these events.

Now obviously, I don't have all the answers. My prediction on the discourse, for example, was completely made up. But i hope this gives you all a sense of what to expect come Sunday. (also please don't tell any qsmp admins I'm leaking this info 😭😭😭😭)

ONE MORE WEEK OF DOUBLE STUFF OCTOBER LETS DO SEASON 5 OF IZZY'S EPISODE ART

5.1 Merp and Burble

Our first Big Named Event arc! "BEHIND THE CURTAIN" which I'm almost certain I picked because we could do this cool ass curtain frame device. Izzy continues to bring the pain here with photo bashed curtains, a modified Madam Hotel horrifyingly cartooning about like bugs bunny to reveal our almost Trevor Henderson-like trail cam timelapse photo of Merp. He also gave me a number of color options on this one, maybe we'll have a section in The Guestbook Vol. II of bts sketches? I'll ask Izzy. This one holds a special place in my heart because Merp is, as devotees will recall, just Scary Slar.

5.2 It Watches and It Smiles

look! The curtain connects at the top! It's gonna be one long picture!

This monster was actually based on a 3 foot tall hard foam statue we had in our house growing up. It is actually scarier looking than you are imagining, made every one of my cousins cry, and is not only something I had nightmares about but also one of the main reasons so much of my horror is "something weird is Over There but looking at you". Full disclosure, one of the reasons I put this monster in this episode was so that Izzy would have to draw a postcard of it and maybe someone would recognize it and tell me what the hell it is because I have not so much as a single photograph of it. BUT then Izzy showed me this drawing, which almost completely hides the monster but it's just so so good I couldn't pass it up. The implied shape and DYNAMITE bloody palm fronds make this look so much like a 90s book cover I fell in love right away. We always try to keep those season and episode numbers in the postcards now too, but I think we forget sometimes?

5.2 Nothing Can Kill That Which Glowers

LOOK AT THIS ONE. Madam Hotel rotting in the reflection of the bubble (she was supposed to show up more in those episodes and sort of be in the process of rotting but she ended up being a single light instead.), I'm crazy about the Owner here, Izzy loves to always keep a little monster in the mix when he draws the Staff. And miss Manager POPS like an 80s music video. Lot's of subtle layers and textures here that can get overlooked, but just like the lake the Owner sinks into, it deepens the longer you linger (did you find the episode number?)

I also like to remind everyone that 'That Which Glowers' is the Grimace and this episode title is a reference to the Clerks cartoon.

5.4 We Are...Watching You...

But are you really LOOKING at it? Do you SEE Izzy's MIND? Lined up you get back to back Managers mirroring each other as well as Madam Hotel in the wings of the now completed curtains--these doubles ALSO frame what is hopefully implied to be the Lobby Boy's hand reaching for his Manager. All of this duality and connection not only reinforces what we know about the characters and show already but set up beautifully the new mirrors about to arrive...

5.5 The Bellhop

THERE SHE IS! There's my goblin girl. You get the bloody vision of the Hotel as Hop sees it as well as the framing for a triptych of the New Crew, each on their own floor. The New Crew stands apart from the Staff in that they have canonical designs immediately, so there tends to be less variation on their fan designs. However there was like ONE WEEK or so before this episode dropped where people were drawing Hop ALL KINDS OF ways. She's one of my favorite designs Izzy's done for the show and I think it's partially because she looks a little like ET.

5.6 The Concierge

Shut up. Shut UP. Look at those colors. Look at that face. Look at those shoulders. Look at those colors! THE COLORS DUKE! THE COLORS!!!! and those printing spots breaking up the lines, all layered over starlight?! It should be, at this point, very hard for Izzy to outdo himself but...he just keeps on outdoing it. We jump down a floor here and the Concierge has slightly more brick surrounding him than the Bellhop did so my pattern recognizers in the crowd can probably guess what's coming next--

5.6 The Auditor

It's been pointed out that Aud has gotten the most detailed description of the main characters on the show. I try to always keep it vague so everyone can imagine whatever they like , but the Auditor is so weird I just wanted to play a little. I saw this scary looking, lonely monster begging to be seen in all white surrounded by nothing. Even the brick and mortar of the Hotel doesn't seem to want to be around her much. One thing I love about Izzy's work is how well he combines whimsy and fun with actual scary imagery. She looks really scary. That is a scary looking monster he drew.

I also think she kind of looks like this alien from Star Trek IV (hey look Star Trek showed up)

5.9 Tenaj Druh - 004 Moor

Oh how I wish I could have a full set of New Crew postcards from Izzy seeing season 1 from a different perspective (for that matter I'd love a full set of season 1 from Izzy, but one thing at a time). Getting to not only see Janet Hurd, but see the NEW CREW checking her in is so so exciting. And the Manager's TV's re-imagined as giant bloody eyeballs is expressed to it's grossest perfection here. Even the Goosebumps frame is tinted sickly green. (the rest of the season also has Goosebumps frames but I'm trying to show off Izzy's art I want you all to have a good look)

5.10 Tnurb Yrrah - 002 Moor

this one's bonkers. The Hubble's ultra deep field on the left, brains on the right but both halves of one face with the broken illusion between them that is just the building of the Hotel herself?? It's got poster folds and teeth for doors! This is a really stunning one that I feel like deserves a little more attention than it gets. Also maybe I spoke too soon on the Goosebumps frame, I don't...this one doesn't have one but maybe I just saved that file somewhere weird.

5.11 IT'S NEW YEARS EVE, JUDY BLASHY!

This is i think the first one we did that had a Goosebumps frame baked in. You can see the 5 and 11 on the clock give us our season and episode number, but that gets a little lost on the printed version so here it is in all it's glory. Love to get to see Judy here her FACE is so EXPRESSIVE and sharp. Notice how Izzy does NOT draw her with a gap tooth. Is that gap battle damage, or some aesthetic flourish the Hotel likes for her bodies? You'd have to ask Izzy. Also love getting to see him draw the things in her furnace room, which are like huge and imply a much larger elevator inside the box. Always reinforcing that boundaries and rules do not apply at the Hotel

what the fuuuck?? why are they so scary??? why are they like that?? why did they make this movie this way?? I was a child!

5.12 The Reaper's Envy

Finishing up the season is this gorgeous party poster that would be right at home in the 90s. Other than the colors (THE COLOR!) I want to point out the confetti that breaks out of the border that also quietly includes some vermin (all up top, letting your eye drift down to the New Crew being reflected in what hopefully everyone assumed was Judy Blashy's eye. Of course we know now who's eye that is and what it's connected to (nothing its nothing it got cut out)

And that's season 5. Now we have entered the @filthyguts desert and must wait once again for the rains to return. I've got new ideas for season 6 that are gonna completely change how we do the art for the show and maybe we can even squeeze some button designs out of him when we launch the next wave of stuff we're launching.

I've said it before and I'll say it again and again and 100 more times, but Izzy's art is a hugely important part of the show, a source of inspiration not only to the fans who listen but to me myself (especially in my lower moments) and I am so so happy that his art and his style has come to define the show.

53. 10/03/2024 night, Happy Bday Shu Rongbo and Wu Yihan!! Hehe the way Qian Anqi knocks their heads together and insisted to sing them happy birthday is so cute. Wu Yihan said 'Happy Birthday' before their customary Guiding Light hug. And pls someone translate (or at least transcribed) the closing speech for me, there's a lot of laughing involved, I'm curious. Also, have this bonus stage door clip.

Some funfacts. Since last year they play in the same 4 musicals including Link Click and out of those 4 plays they shared 2 roles. Shu Rongbo played a total of 9 roles while Wu Yihan played 7. (Yes, I am at that level of hyperfixation)

54. 11/03/2024, HBD Teng Chunpeng! LMAO It's you, so of course your promo video would be great! His face during the sofa choreo though. And why are both him and Du Guangyi stomping and jumping on the table so hard. You menaces, please you're gonna break it. The couch trio is also looking cute behind them.

55. 11/03/2024 Valentine's day special, <- Official ver. Forgive my language TENG CHUNPENG DU GUANGYI YOU FCKING TEASE! YOU GEM OF A HUMAN BEING! Have this fancam with the superior angle.

(This makes Du Guangyi the first and only actor who have played all 3 roles in that scene. Congrats!)

61. 04/03/2024, Bai Zhuoming being extra sassy and playful on the couch makes me so happy. Of course Cai Lu also becomes playful in response. Typical Guiding Light mistake also causes Wang Minhui to crack.

62. 07/03/2024, Guo Hongxu putting up the wrong foot and stumbling on the sofa choreo.

63. 07/03/2024, same performance as above, Ji Xiaokun being annoying <3. When other pairs hug, they wrestle.

64. 10/03/2024 day, Mooom! Cai Qi and Wang Minhui are fighting instead of doing rock-paper-scissors again.

65. 09/03/2024 day, uuuhh Wu Yihan sitting on the counter like that with those lights and shadows during Guiding Light is creepy.

66. 09/03/20204 night, love me some Du Guangyi shenanigans, the way he just gives up on the handshake and walk off the table plss and him teasing Deng Xianling during the closing speech. Speaking of, she brings out the bat and forces their arms to form the heart. Then there's Bai Zhuoming being cute and the little shimmy dance he does.

67. 09/03/2024 night, bonus to the one above. Du Guangyi last minute adlib was unexpected but very enjoyable. Also, I love the contrast between his and Bai Zhuoming's tutting.

Bonus clip with Bai Zhuoming! The song "Number 7" from "Fan Letter" musical is really good, I'm obssesed. But special performance where they're joined by their alternate cast? And his alternate cast is, Shu Rongbo? Even better!! They're kinda in their own world too. Here's a close up. Their voices go so well together!

(I swear they're playing something on that paper, and that makes it 3 musicals I know where they share the same role. Is it time I made a venn diagram?)

Saw some anons talking about how they noticed Jikook so I thought I would give my perspective too. To be honest I am indifferent to Jungkook I've been for years. I don't hate him. I just don't find myself interested in him. Except when he is with Jimin. Now as someone that has been into BTS since 2014 and biased Jimin for that same time, I always noticed Jikook. It's impossible not to. At first I really hated how JK was so dissmisive of Jimin, placing him last in looks, pushing him and so on. You know. But Jimin always seemed to have a special love for JK regardless and that confused me. I grew up to understand Jimin and his relationship with JK as time passed though. By observing Jimin, I would get a dosage of JK too since these two are always together. Jimin would mention JK all time. Jimin would play with him in every behind the scenes. Jimin would always be touching JK head and taking care of JK. So I was set on "Jimin loves this dude too much", then I started paying attention to JK and his relationship with other members too see if he reciprocated and I came to the conclusion JK does appreciate Jimin in a unique way too. He is someone that is not good with words, he is sensitive but has trouble being open about his feelings towards other members. But record says he has been the most open with Jimin. I think he appreciates Jimin as a hyung that dotes on him and as someone that he clicks with on stage. But I can't see anything romantic feelings from his end or Jimin's end most of the time. I have wondered sometimes if Jimin had a crush on JK at some point. But most of the time I am set on them only being very close friends. Those type of friends you flirt with and things are not awkward because both of you are just so close and so in tune with each other that you know it's safe to do it.

So I don't think your Jikookers anons who were worried about Jikook being too obvious should be worried. Most people pay even less attention to their interactions than me. They don't even have doubts that Jikook is not real.

BTW regardless of my indifference towards JK I was happy to know there is a possibility of them enlisting together. Military time can be tough on anyone they will need all the support they can get.

Jikook were kind of my introduction to BTS as a whole in a way tbh. Jimin caught my attention first years beforehand but I wasn't ready to go down the rabbit hole like I knew I would so I didn't dive any deeper than him occasionally being pretty on my tl until I saw the hickey and mma/mama(?) black swan performance I was fully doomed from the beginning because it was one of the first things I saw and I'm nosey so immediately I was like "I have got to find out wtf is going on over there" but I wasn't about to be deep in they business without listening to the music cause thats weird to me so I listened to their music and it slapped like I expected and I finally started stanning which made me find out even more about them and nothings swayed my first impression that giving your bro a hickey is gay af

It’s funny how you don’t realize just how much you miss something until you have it back, even if for a fleeting moment. Seeing BTS together again on stage was as exciting as it was bittersweet. Putting into words the emotions that filled my heart watching them perform as one for such a monumental event is proving to be quite difficult for me. This wasn’t just any regular concert for the boys, or even ARMY. It was a show for the public, for the world. The admission was free, anyone could watch it online, and it aired on Korean television. Despite the hiccups leading up to the show, the concert was a success, with high ratings and unimaginable numbers of online viewers. There was so much viewer traffic that the major platforms streaming the concert crashed, leaving millions of ARMYs and viewers to search for another source. The public perception has been positive, and the tremendous economic impact is being celebrated by the Busan locals. It truly is hard to describe the significance of this concert for BTS, for Busan, and for Korea. This will be a wondrous moment forever remembered by so many, far beyond the port city where it was held.

Many in Korea who aren’t ARMY were curious about BTS and what makes them so special, and the response has been amazing. Even for my own family who tuned in, their reactions were priceless. Apparently, one of my uncles was enchanted by Jin, and my grandmother said she now understands why I love Jimin so much. My sister’s oppa, who wasn’t a fan, decided to nab a ticket to the show, simply because he wanted to know what the hype was all about. He kept sending my sister videos and pictures, and he was in complete awe of what he was experiencing. By the end of the concert, he asked her, “Should I become ARMY?!” It was so cute how impressed he was, and how he thanked BTS for putting on such an incredible show. Needless to say, as an ARMY, it made me so happy!!

For BTS and ARMY, this was the show to finally close the first chapter of our story. We got to see the boys perform the songs that we all know and love, possibly for the last time. We were gifted “달려라 방탄 (Run BTS)” early, much to everyone’s excitement. The boys really gave that performance the proper due diligence that a song like that would require. It was very reminiscent of the classic backbreaking stages that put BTS in a class of their own. Witnessing Jimin and V wholly fall into an embrace at the end of the performance says it all.

It was easy to see that this concert meant a lot to the boys, and they didn’t want it to end. Each minute was cherished and not gone to waste. They went into this concert knowing that it will be the last concert with all of them together for the foreseeable future. Now we know that it won’t be until 2025 that BTS will finally take the stage again as a group. As much as it breaks my heart to know that it will feel like eternity before we get the boys as OT7, I trust that they will make us proud, and will come back to us stronger than ever!!

Even though we won’t be getting any new BTS music and performances for what seems like forever and a day, we still have so much to look forward to! Jin is releasing a single, and will no doubt bless us all with his silver voice and stunning WWH visuals. The other remaining members are working hard on their much awaited solos, which we know will be worth waiting for. I for one am absolutely beyond ready for all they have to offer, and I am excited to watch each one of them shine in their own light!!

I honestly don’t care too much about the whole jk 🚬 thing, just like I didn’t care with V nor with Suga. I can not like something and still love/like and respect the people who chooses to do those things. Like me not liking the idea of vaping and my sisters doing it — you do you I guess 🤷🏻‍♀️. Also, don’t know why people are so surprised about the fact and the possibility of him and any other member/idol smoking, because just like drinking is very popular in Korea, as far as I know smoking rates are kinda high too. So yes I was surprised at first, for reasons like the ones you’ve mentioned (his voice, health and smell sensibility), but overall I was like “oh, okay so he does that too”. We also need to remember and understand that even if we see it on footage and/or by hearing them talk about it —still we will never know the pressure, exhaustion and stress they go under on a daily basis, and because of that, it is never our place to judge how they choose to enjoy and release themselves, specially if it’s not affecting/hurting anyone. Now, the only thing that intrigues me about this whole thing is why now are we being bombarded with so much… idk a good word so I’m just gonna name it “crude/sensible/private moments” of them (all of them in a way). Like the V and Jennie video, I just don’t see how 10 years in the industry have been so relatively “smooth”, but now in this second chapter it feels like we have had one revelation after another ? I’m not saying it’s planned, but I also don’t think it’s entirely coincidental, specially with how the members (like RM and JK in recent lives) have been expressing themselves and slowly removing/breaking the “idol standard” frame.

Let's talk a bit about the last part of your message.

I think I mentioned in one of the Asks I posted a couple of hours ago, that I think the reason we are seeing more of the guys' private lives is because fans are not respecting those moments like they used to. I don't think it's because the guys are now doing this or that, I want to believe that no one is naive enough to believe that before those 7 men stayed at home doing nothing, apart from working. Now the lack of content has caused many to look for any way to find out about them. And now they are quicker to justify why a video or photo etc. spreads much faster. Many don't care about the guys and respecting their private lives, many care about feeding the parasocial relationship they have created with them. Or feeding that obsession. That addiction; because what's the point of knowing what they do in their spare time if we're supposed to be fans of their music and variety content?

As for this part, I think it's because they really understand the power they have, not just in Korea but in the industry in general. I don't know much about other kpop groups but it's clear to me that no other group has the power that bts has. And it's important to clarify that I'm not talking about popularity, that's something different although no one has the popularity that bts has but in this case, I'm talking about power. Of influence.

Although there are some groups that are quite popular globally they don't have the power and influence that bts has and this is proven by the participations that bts has had in important stages outside of music. Yes, those appearances are also due to the popularity of the group but mostly due to the power and influence they have. Even if that influence was only on their fandom, that would be huge because bts fandom is huge and that's something that I think everyone with full knowledge of the facts recognises.

And BTS knows it. The members know it. They are positioned enough in the industry and society I think, to shake up the status quo - once again - of what it is to be an Idol. A kpop artist and even a Korean artist. I think that also applies to their relationship with the fandom. Joon and jungkook particularly, they're more vocal in expressing what they don't like, in calling out the fandom for doing or saying something they don't agree with and that's important. I think they've understood that the image that we had of them and that maybe they were projecting was a little bit unrealistic and in this new stage of their careers, they're trying to be more honest or honest enough. Real.

Just finished my rewatch of jatp. My perfrct track record of not crying during Unsaid Emily remains untouched. I will say though, I was very close to shedding a tear this time. However, I didn’t even cry during Stand Tall! I always cry during Stand Tall!

Anyways, I couldn’t stop thinking about all the headcanons and theories that us tumblr fantoms created and the little easter eggs we discovered while watching and rewatching the series. It makes me really appreciative of the fact that we had a sense of community during a time where a lot of us were alone, scared, and uninspired. Just like Julie, I felt a renewed sense of purpose and hope. I think that a lot of people felt the same after watching the show. Julie and the Phantoms is what inspired me to learn the piano, the ukulele, and it led me to getting a guitar. When I learned how to play the chords for the soundtrack, I was playing those songs nonstop. It really helped me brave through the unsure feelings that came along with the pandemic. It made me forget my fears about the future.

I don’t feel as hopeful about things as I did back then, but JATP will always be a land-marking point in my life. It represents newfound joy, reignited passion, and abundant vivacity. As someone who loves and is extremely passionate about music, this silly little netflix show really hit me in the most sensitive places. And while I remember having a bout of serious depression after finishing the series, (along with intense rage that while I was dealing with my depression at its lowest point, the cast of jatp was living what felt like my dream) the lessons I learned from the show were far more significant. It literally brought music back into my life, no joke.

The friends I made because of JATP will always have a special place in my heart. A lot of them don’t use tumblr anymore, and I don’t use it nearly as much as I used to, but I’m still so grateful to have been introduced to such kind, accepting, and funny people. The stories, theories, headcanons, fanfictions, moodboards, inside jokes, memes, and fanart we created will always be remembered and cherished. I’m still pro-cheesecake, I’m still highly allergic to sleeves, and every time I see an unnecessary or fake zipper, I think of my fellow tumblr fantoms.

I don’t think I’ll ever truly “get over” Julie and the Phantoms. It was the first thing that truly resonated with my spirit as a new adult. I was 19 and had dropped out of college, feeling completely lost and like I had nothing going for me. Going into lockdown because of the pandemic didn’t help with any of that, and I was aimlessly, endlessly scrolling on social media, hoping to find meaning and purpose. And one day, my friend posted a clip on snapchat of what she was watching on netflix. The guy was cute and it looked like him and the girl he was next to had a nice connection so I asked what show it was. That’s how I discovered JATP, almost 2 weeks after its release. I also just have an unhealthy attachment to the show and the characters so I refuse to let this media that speaks to my soul die.

All that being said, we really deserved another season. I think it would cure me entirely, if I’m being honest. Even if it was just a little Christmas special where they decorate a tree and do those mini stories like filler episodes of a cartoon series. Hell, I’d settle for an animated JATP episode. I just think we all deserve it after what we’ve been through not only as a fandom, but as human beings. I will never forgive netflix for it’s terrible job at promoting, because they only failed when it came to this show specifically. They managed to keep every other show, even ones far less deserving of acclaim and attention, afloat during and after the pandemic. The only reason JATP managed to get anywhere was solely the cast, creators, and fans. Paul Becker was on fucking overdrive, churning out BTS videos WEEKLY. Fanfiction writers were bursting at the seams with multi-chapter series and one shots about every possible scenario. We got things trending on twitter during the two most chronically online years. Fanart was being shared like crazy, and we had the instagram fantoms so confused by the memes that they retaliated and claimed they were superior.

Meanwhile, tumblr was in its shadowbanning era, and fantoms were in the TRENCHES trying to get their content to reach beyond mutuals and taglists. We received barely any appreciation, except for when we trended on twitter asking to renew jatp and on tumblr for jatp appreciation week. Let’s not forget when we thought Owen had a secret tumblr and we all started accusing each other of being him. I will never forget when we all rallied to get Madi to 1 million followers because we didn’t want her to become overshadowed by the boys and all the attention they were getting. We all watched their instagram lives and I will always love the tumblr fantoms who made gifs of the cutest moments from those. Everyone saw me shamelessly simp over Charlie with facial hair wearing a santa onesie. We created a whole Carrie redemption arc out of thin air, we created origin stories for Rose and the Petal Pushers, and we forced the creators of JATP to give us the official last names of Reggie, Alex, and Flynn (This adventure SPECIFICALLY!!!) We were ruthless in our efforts to uncover their last names. We used breadcrumbs to make theories and speculations, only to end up begging in every comment section and dm inbox we could to get Reggie Peters, Alex Mercer, and eventually—though much, much later—Flynn Taylor. We gave Willie more crop tops, we basically storyboarded a second season, complete with episode titles and songs! We uncovered the Sunset Curve EP using the grainiest photos in existence, we created a loose timeline surrounding everyone’s birthdays, deaths, and significant events. We orchestrated a fucking CONCERT TOUR for this band. Oh, and let’s not forget when Kenny and the boys went to Hawaii. That Hawaii trip was so eventful for the fantoms, you have no idea how serious I’m being unless you were there for it. That was something unlike anything else for so many reasons. There’s a lot more, but that’s the stuff that came to mind immediately.

I just wanted to write this little note to you to say I hope you're feeling better. 💜 I got this account to check your posts and send this message, and I'm glad you're able to get support when you're not doing well.

Your works are an absolute dream, and I take a lot of inspiration from you. When I struggle to write my own fics, I often read yours to get a sense of style and pacing. My pacing is absolutely dreadful, but your pacing is always so good and thoughtful, I truly don't know how you do it.

How do you manage college and writing? I used to write everyday but haven't in years because academics has killed my love for it. I'm not taking any writing-intensive courses this semester though, so I hope I can write some and rekindle that joy for it. Another question that's been on my mind is who's your bias really? Are you OT7? Your profile pics are of Jimin, but your stories vary. I feel like I've read something about this in an A/N before, but I don't remember it very well. I am an OT7 ARMY but will only write about JK, lmao.

I can't wait for chapter 3 of A Reverie Endeavor, but please do put yourself first! Your writing in that story is incredible, as always. I have never, ever thought about a fic as much as I do with that one. I reread parts of it everyday it seems. I live for the pain and angst, heck yeah.

NALKSNFLA STOPPPPP YOURE FLATTERING MEEE To be honest, even MY pacing feels off to me, I think it's very much a sense of 'fake it till you make it' or leave a piece for a while so you can come back with a fresh mind and reaccess the pacing... it's something we all struggle with 😭

How do I manage uni with writing? I... don't? Basically it's one or the other, and I tend to blindside each one on different days, because lord knows I can't focus on both at onceanslkfnal I'm trying to focus on writing what I WANT going into the future, and what makes me tick, because I think that really, really helps... even writing those lil things that are so cliche and stuff XD

And as for my BTS... I'm defs an OT7 girlie! Jimin does hold a special place in my heart purely because he was the first one I got attached to in my first music video, but I fawn pretty equally over all of them 💗💗 But I do find myself drawn to certain member povs, but maybe that's a reflection on myself!

So, to spare my friends and family from my extensive rants, I will be posting here about it. Aristotle & Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe by Benjamin Alire Saenz. This book (and the sequel) always destroys me emotionally, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

The Rook by Daniel O’Malley: The only adult science fiction book series I enjoy reading

Iron Widow by Xiran Jay Zhao: It’s like Pacific Rim combined with Chinese folk stories. It’s so cool.

Hi there - it's the Muggle! :) Thanks for the enthusiastic invitation to share some thoughts! Why don't I start with my Muggle impressions of Jungkook since you brought that up on your blog? Please feel free not to post this or edit out anything you wouldn't want on your blog. I'm still basically a stranger in a strange land when it comes to BTS and K-pop in general. I don't know the customs, taboos, and shibboleths, so I never know when I might put my foot in it!

I should start by saying that prior to July 14, 2023, I didn't know who Jungkook was. I didn't know the names of *any* BTS members. I couldn't tell them apart. I couldn't have picked one of them out of a lineup. I knew *of* BTS. I'd seen a few of their music videos from my YouTube recs, and I'd seen them perform on TV a few times -- mostly late-night talk shows.

In May 2019 they did a live performance in NYC's Central Park for Good Morning America. I live in NY and that appearance was a local news story, because kids were sleeping out on 5th Avenue for days to get in. So I think I wound up watching it just because it was in the news. I can't even recall if I watched it live, or later on YouTube. They did "Boy with Luv," which I sort of recognized, and "Fire," which I didn't know at the time. It was...a magical performance. It put such a smile on my face and I thought the audience was as enchanting as the band themselves. There was just something so joyful and unique and *special* about it. It stayed with me enough that when the pandemic hit the following year, I would sometimes pull up that video to watch again.

That explains why I tuned in to see Jungkook on Good Morning America this July. Once again, I only found about out it because it was a local news story: people camping out on 5th Ave. for a chance to get in. Sadly, the live broadcast never happened because there was a lightning storm and the park had to be evacuated. GMA aired a pre-recorded sound check instead. And that may have been why it felt like something was missing? I thought Jungkook looked very young, and very cute, and quite nervous. And I thought he looked a little lonely without the rest of the group. It may have just been me, mentally comparing this performance to the 2019 one. His energy seemed off, but you know...it was a sound check! And you can see the sky literally turning black behind him! They might've already suspected that the broadcast was going to be canceled. And the weather was overall humid and revolting. So, not the best conditions, especially for making a solo debut. I literally thought, "Poor kid!"

From there I watched the "Seven" video, the non-explicit one. I thought it was a perfectly OK pop tune. Top 40-ready. Again, I thought Jungkook was very cute and very young.

Then I heard there was a second, explicit version of "Seven," and I just thought...well, of *course* there is. Because this artist *is* very cute and very young and sex just seems to be the hackneyed shortcut to "maturing" a young artist's image. I didn't -- and don't -- know how much of that is coming from Jungkook himself and how much is direction that *this* is what he needs to do to differentiate himself from BTS and present himself as a pop star in his own right. Personally? I didn't feel like it suited him. Not because it was too sexy but because it was so..."Oh, *this* again." It just felt very...ordinary.

Writing this out made me realize that this is the dilemma facing an artist like Jungkook. How do you show that you're a grownup artist in your own right if people look at you and see "young" and "cute?" I can't answer that. I just feel like there *has* to be a more creative way to do that than just raunching things up.

I don't know what to say about "3D" because I can't get back in that 100% Muggle mindset anymore. I have more familiarity with who Jungkook is, so I know that's coloring my opinion. If anything, I now feel disappointed that this seems to be the direction his first solo venture is taking. If before it was, "Oh, *this* again," now it's more like..."I *know* there's more to him than *this*."

I'm not a Swiftie, but I really admire Taylor Swift's management of her image and career. I am absolutely certain that at some point, she was advised that she'd never cross over from teenage country sweetheart to megawatt popstar unless she presented a more "mature" image -- i.e., a more sexual one. She didn't buy into that. And look where she is now.

Does this new image come across as somewhat immature and fake to them, the way it does for many of us Army who know him?"

My friend, it came across as immature and fake to me three months ago when I *didn't* know him! I saw something magical on that stage in 2019, even when I didn't know (or honestly, care) who any of them were. I don't want *any* of them to be merely a fuckboy or a sexy popstar or a "typical" member of a K-pop band. They have magic in them. They don't ever need to be ordinary.

Honestly, I've many complaints about Jungkook's GMA performance but it was technically only a sound check, and he had a cold, though I have complaints about Jungkook's performances in general lately.

I didn't think Jungkook came across as particularly mature, because, to me, the image he's projecting now is more comparable to Bieber or other basic white dudes. It's also very Western boy group. Jungkook is a better singer, dancer, nicer, hotte,r than pretty much every male artist, but, still, the MVs, the explicit lyrics, the choreos, his fits, his photoshoots, the collabs, etc. - the combination of all those things - paints a picture of him that is more Shawn Mendes-esque than Harry Styles, using an example of two singers with younger fanbases but with a very distinct image and reputation. What Jungkook wants is to be a Harry Styles, someone who successfully transitioned from being a bg member with a teen following (and all the limitations that comes with that, no offense to teens!), to a mostly respected artist with a mature, sexy (and progressive) image, not juvenile at all. Jungkook's image right now is pretty juvenile. It's hard to talk about Jungkook like this, but it's true. Jungkook is a smart, mature, kind, well rounded individual and artist, with the ability to approach complex topics with his music and to deliver interesting performances, but his artistic output right now does not do him justice, and tbh, he's always beeen partial to "sexy" and "powerful" performances, to his detriment - he wants to feel sexy and cool, and goes about it in the least interesting way possible with his solos (like the My Time performance, Seven, 3D).

There's nothing wrong with being a respectful basic white boy lmao (in spirit), or to be a boy group member, but what Jungkook wants is to be taken seriously, and neither of those archetypes are, nor are they seen as mature - hence Jungkook is unsuccessful in that regard. However, he is becoming a big pop star (in the conventional sense) and has more freedom now to discuss certain topics without the fans losing their shit (they still do, but mostly in a good way).

I want to ask, if Jungkook didn't impress you, and you already knew of BTS and had a positive impression of them yet that wasn't enough for you to become interested, how did you become Army?

Get to know the Mun

1. Are you named after anyone? Yes, actually! Alana, one of Ariel's sisters in the Little Mermaid. :) Obviously my parents added in an extra N. This extra N has led to so much confusion; at this point if you have roughly the right syllables, I'll answer to it.

2. When was the last time you cried? Literally yesterday. It wasn't FFXIV music for once but it was definitely a song and my brain imagined a story/music video style thing for it and I cried bc I am as sensitive as Meiko. I remember sitting there afterward like why the fuck am I doing this lmao

3. Do you have kids? Only Butternut at the moment, but I have always wanted to be a Mom. Sadly, I'm demisexual, and a lot of people in general don't really...like, get that or what it means. I do plan to hop back into the hell that is dating apps after the Vegas FFXIV Fanfest, though.

4. Do you use sarcasm a lot? I am definitely hella cynical, but I don't know if I use sarcasm excessively. I feel like a little too much sarcasm is a wee bit cringe.

5. What sports do you play/have you played? Literally zero outside of what gym required of us in school. I do enjoy swimming, though -- not that I've had much of a chance since moving away from Florida!

6. What’s the first thing you notice about other people? Lately I've been making extra observations around whether or not people take an interest in me. Do they keep the conversation all about them? Do they remember facts about me? It's a little disheartening when you realize how rare it is.

7. Scary movies or happy endings? Happy endings, scary movies give me so much anxiety; that being said, I do love a good true crime story because I am basic.

8. Any special talents? I don't know about special but I will state that I am highly competent in every job I've ever taken in my career; although this has led to burnout in past roles, I've learned to balance it and can recognize that my work ethic is pretty rare!

9. Where were you born? I was born in NYC, raised in Florida, where I lived until I was 24. Moved to Washington state and have been here ever since!

10. What are your hobbies? Writing, Gaming, Various Creative Projects with @aethericsea, and being a full-time BTS Army fan

11. Do you have any pets? Her name is Nikita Katrice Seraphina Butternut. She has a facebook.

12. How tall are you? 5'3", 5'4" if you measure me in the morning before my spine has compressed

13. Fave subject in school? English/Language Arts, mainly becaust it was easy

14. Dream job? I am very happy in my current job; I would have liked to been involved in the gaming industry more directly, but as an analyst for the industry I'm kind of 'yikes' about it now. So I can accept that that ship has sailed and I am content where I am.

15. Eye color? Dark Brown

Frederator Postcard Series 26.1

Now that Bee and PuppyCat: Lazy in Space is scheduled to drop on Netflix, September 6, 2022, I thought I would share some of my recollections as to how this special series of Natasha Allegri’s came to be. –Fred Seibert

Was our Kickstarter going to work? Could we make a Bee and PuppyCat series?

It was hard for some people to believe. Frederator had been very successful, with several series over the years, most recently the well regarded hit series of “Adventure Time.” Why would we need to ask the Kickstarter community to fund the Bee and PuppyCat series?

At least, that was one of the issues we were dealing with as we contemplated how we could make the show. Over the years, I’ve been asked almost as many questions about the PuppyCat Kickstarter as about anything else, so I’ll try and answer as many here as I can.

Here are a few key things to think about... My production companies have always had three key elements, and Bee and PuppyCat hit all three.

Creators first. It’s all about Natasha Allegri. Everything about Bee and PuppyCat is because of her unique vision, and her dedication and hard work that she puts into it every minute to make it special. Everything else follows.

Original, always. As I recently said to an idiot when he made a suggestion about other networks that might like PuppyCat, “Did you even watch the show?!” Aargh.

“Original” only begins to scratch the surface (no pun intended) of the exceptional qualities of the show. The characters, the stories, the drawing and design, the voice actors, the music.

Why would ever make a show that wasn’t original?

Your next favorite cartoon. We’re fans, just like our audiences. We want to be involved with creators and show that we just have to make. We’re looking for our next faves too.

All of my companies have been up-from-the-bootstraps, indie companies. Self funded, with an occasional small investment here and there. Generally, if we wanted to get a series going, especially one that required a “full” production (rather than what I call a “garage band” style, one person does everything, film), we needed a partner. And because the expense of an animated cartoon was in many millions of dollars for a 13 or 20 episode season, we always went to TV networks (or today, streamers too) who 1) needed cartoons, and 2) sold enough advertising or subscriptions to afford them. As I said in Part 3 of this series of posts, there was really no one who would take a chance on a unique show with Bee and PuppyCat.

As we were thinking about Kickstarter, we started jamming on the positives –and negatives– that our community would ask, and coming up with what we thought we reasonable responses to all of them.

Leading the charge was Nate Olson, a longtime friend who’d joined Frederator as Vice President, Marketing, but expanded his role over the years into pretty much everything outside of production. It’s fair to say that without Nate, the Bee and PuppyCat series wouldn’t have had a chance.

A quick diversion, and maybe a lesson, about Kickstarter. Among people I know, it seems easy. You put up your creative project –a comic, a video game, a film– and voila! people give you free money! If only it was so. Putting together a crowd funding project is a full time occupation, often for several months, and requires smarts, diligence, and just a lot of 24 hour, flop-sweat filled days.

Nate is the hero of the B&PC Kickstarter, the person who made it happen for Bee and PuppyCat. He even directed me beautifully in the KS video (I’m a BTS guy, not really one for the camera).

Here’s Nate’s recollections of the project...

We reached out to our friend, crowdfunding expert George Rohac. George worked with Frederator to outline the kinds of tiers, rewards, and milestones a 30 day Kickstarter needed. Frederator had modest goals at the outset and high hopes. We spent 60 days planning, creating assets, and getting collaborators on board. Then 30 days doing the Kickstarter.

The fans donated enough to hit the goal (6 x 6 minute episodes) within about 10 days. And then the stretch goals were accomplished over the remaining 20 days. At the time it was the most backed crowdfunding campaign with (almost 20K backers) and largest web series ever crowdfunded.

It took over a year to get the first group of episodes produced and up on YouTube. And then a couple of years more to get the rest of the episodes. We switched [overseas] production partners and we gave Natasha all of the time she needed to do what she wanted to do.

We had to wait until the DVD's could be made before we fulfilled most of the physical rewards so that took a few years. We understood the backers frustrations and read every comment and email about it. Frederator invested its own money to make an even 10 episodes (a total 60 minutes of content.) We had an exclusive BOOM! comic cover and exclusive signature edition Squishables [Here are some of the exclusive Kickstarter rewards. -Fred]. 17 licensees signed up to do Bee and PuppyCat merch, with dozens and dozens of amazing Bee and PuppyCat products.

The Kickstarter drop was amazing, the fans responded in droves, even the one naysayer in our joint had to eat his words.

But, it was still a nerve racking month for all of us, especially Nate. I’d watch him drag himself into the New York office looking like he hadn’t slept a bit. He hadn’t, he just kept refreshing the KS site, exhilarated when things went up, deflated when there was no action. About halfway through the month he set up a Reddit AMA with Natasha and me on the Adventure Time subReddit (Nate and programmer Matt Gielen sat with me through the whole thing, since I wasn’t familiar with the insider subReddit jargon; didn’t want to disapppoint!).

You know the end of this part of the story. We not only beat our large expectations, but became, at least for five years or so, the most backed animation project in Kickstarter’s history until that month. Yayyyyy!

Now came the hard work. Producing a series.
