Apple Merchant [BOTW!Link x Isekai!Reader] (Part 3)
The house does not make a home, but a home can make a man.
The trash pile has grown again. It's spilling out of the bin.
Part 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6
Alternate Extras: Embrace
Masterlist
TW: Choosing not to display warnings. Read at your own discretion.
Disclaimer: Don't own The Legend of Zelda franchise.
---
The house is bigger than you remember it being from the game. For one, there's a sectioned off washroom hidden partially under the loft stairs and a full kitchen area in the left rear of the house. The ceiling is also ridiculously high for a one story (technically two) house, but you let that detail slide. It's to your- Link's, benefit, after all.
Another thing, upgrades are not offered automatically here. Though that should've been obvious in hindsight and you're a bit embarrassed to admit it'd slipped your mind. Most people would decorate and furnish their own homes with either their old furniture or newly bought.
That's what the many, many shops the game never had reason to show were for, after all.
Therein led to your current dilemma.
Practicality or comfort? The large thin rug with dark patterns, or a smaller plush one with elegant designs embroidered at the edges? Red covers? Blue, white, gray? All of them perhaps? Maybe just three?
Does Link prefer cast iron or the wok? Steel forks or maybe chop sticks? A full set of pots and pans, or just two or three good ones for repeated use? Which set of knives? The specialty set or a general use one?
Should the loft have a rug too? Should you get both? Should you get three? What about the washroom?
Towels? A vase...
Dumb idea. No vases.
Should there be two beds? When Link frees Zelda from the castle, surely the poor woman won't be made to live there in that festering monster's nest of a ruin. And having been trapped there for a century as the world outside moved forward (after having been royalty nonetheless), would she even know how to live on her own?
Would it be presumptuous of you to already set up for her arrival before Link even properly remembered who she was? You didn't want to make Link feel obligated to fufill your assumptions like that. He already had so much on his shoulders. He didn't need you to add more.
So, only one bed. Sheets?
"Jus' get them all, ya cluckin' mother cucco." Adino snapped waspishly, thin brows pulled down into a severe looking glare. His arms were crossed as he leaned against the wall closest to the 'Odds and Ends' shop's door, pointedly.
You barely spared him a glance, used to his attitude after having known him for nearly three years. And honestly, it was all for show anyway. Adino loved shopping with you, but the spiteful little shit would never admit it. Even under pain of death.
'Jus' making sure the walkin' rupee bag doesn't fall dead to an ill fated breeze.' He'd snark if ever questioned why he was following you around on his days off.
Lies, of course. The truth is he's lonely. So very lonely and too hurt yet to reach out to anyone else for companionship.
The man he'd called father for 14 years of his short life suddenly throws him out of the only home he'd known with barely the clothes on his back. All after finding out his recently departed wife had been having affairs. And the kicker, the bastard claims he supposedly doesn't even know if Adino's his or not (despite them having the exact same eyes and brows).
It'd been convenient though, you'd give him that. Just washed his hands of the situation entirely. Started fresh with a new wife and got rid of the unnaturally (Adino had parroted coldly, like a curse and a confession breathed in the same breath) effeminate son that may or may not be his.
No stings attached. Just living comfortably on his late wife's family property and shacking up with her younger sister.
And that abandoned son running, running, running across Hyrule. Until he dropped right outside of Hateno, quiet and hurting and nearly driven mad with hateful, writhing loathing.
You pull yourself from those thoughts. It's not your business. Adino may have shared that information with you during his mandatory background check, but that doesn't mean it's any of your business.
Even if the boy is living with you, and has been for the last three years.
(Even if you already ruined that man's fletching business. Even if you never told Adino why that man'd taken a very long walk off a very tall cliff.
Even if Adino knew and left flowers on your desk every year on that day ever since.)
"I'll take them all. As well as the rugs, towels and curtains, please. Oh. And that tapestry. Yes. The one with the apples."
Adino snorted, rolling his eyes, and you smiled. A merchant's got to advertise wherever possible, after all.
The older, greying woman behind the counter nodded, glancing over to two younger women (her granddaughters, twins and five years orphaned. turned 17 last Fall) waiting unobtrusively near the back of the shop. They didn't need any more instruction than that, swiftly gathering your choices and folding them into neatly wrapped bundles.
You swear this family had to have some sheikah blood in them somewhere. Even if they had pitch black hair and the darkest grey eyes you've ever seen. They were just too quiet and efficient to be normal Hyrulians. (And were little known for their discretion above all else.)
You tipped the women for thier help. They thanked you with a quiet tilt of their perfectly kept heads, before returning to their preferred corner in the far back.
You didn't bother to barter with this woman. You paid full price for everything, and then tipped her too.
Four gold rupees. And a note, which she took with a nod and a knowing glint in her eyes.
(Because they were known for their discretion, and you appreciated that more than anything.
You knew she understood the flowers you left on her desk every year on the same day.
And you knew she'd understand this too.)
You left, but not before catching one of the twins (the one with the blue head cloth and lip rouge) staring longingly after Adino's back as he marched from the store in a dramatic huff. Her sister hiding a probable grin behind her red painted hand.
'Interesting. But not my problem.'
---
Link looked up the curved path to Hateno's guarded gate as he sheathed his guardian sword, the black mist of two hopelessly mangled bodies blowing away in the strong mountainside winds. Further back still was the semi-conscious groan of a young woman surrounded by fallen mushrooms.
Link ignored her slowly rising form, having checked her vitals earlier before being ambushed by a pair of bokoblins. He knew she'd be fine, and honestly, if she was sneaking around monster infested forests for mushrooms (Link could still hear the snorting of the beasts further past the treeline) then she must be able to take a hit or two and come out okay.
She must have had the same thoughts because she merely dusted herself off, picked up her fallen produce and made for the trees once more. Barely sparing Link a backwards wave before disappearing into the thick underbrush.
Link blinked after her. And sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose.
So. That happened.
Link let it roll off his back easily enough. He had more important issues to deal with. Such as was it appropriate for him to just show up at your (and now his) doorstep fresh from the road and smelling every bit of it.
He discreetly sniffed under his arm and grimaced.
Surely you'd understand. You and him were connected after all, and you knew his name and knew he'd be coming to Hateno. A little roadside reek shouldn't be a big surprise.
Yet. He couldn't shake the self-consciousness. The irrational fear that you'd look at him and expect more than what you got.
Like that old man who was actually a dead person. Like that Impa woman, and everyone in that little village she lived in.
For how quickly he'd steamrolled through the untamed wilds of Hyrule just to meet you, he was oddly reluctant to continue now that he was at your metaphoric (and soon literal) doorstep.
He glanced down at himself, taking himself in with a critical eye.
The Sheikah armor he wore (it had been under 10,000 rupees, he checked) was covered in dust, grim and the unflattering stains of sweat, dried bloody drool (from that unfortunate incident with the bokoblin horse), grass and meat grease. His hair was so filthy it was nearly brown despite that equally unfortunate incident with the octorok having put him in the water several times (strong inconsistent winds make aiming bows hard, he'd discovered).
Hopefully you wouldn't be disgusted. He hoped you understood that he wasn't- well-
He wasn't who he used to be. Apparently.
"Link." A flat voice called out, and Link nearly jumped to attention at the unexpected interruption. He nearly reached for his sword too, before he stopped himself.
When Link looked up and met dark gray eyes, his heart started to tightened.
'Is that you, AM?' His eyes asked earnestly, wide and round with quiet searching. For recognition. For understanding. For anything at all.
Instead he got a slow, dispassionate blink and confusion as the woman spoke into the silence between them. "AM instructed me to lead you home, Master Link."
Link pointed to himself. "Master?" He rasped out quietly, voice rough and unpleasant even to his own ears. Nothing to say for the pain it caused at the base of his throat.
Without missing a beat the young woman nodded once, the blue bandana holding her dark hair back catching slightly in the wind. Blue painted lips barely moving as she said. "Yes. I will explain more once we arrive at your home."
Link nodded, still uncertain but trusting enough of this strange woman who knew the name (Alis? Nickname? Title, perhaps?) of his sheikah slate partner.
Tomorrow, he would be given a small journal detailing many of the dangers and wonders of this beautiful, wild world he now lived in. And he wouldn't be so trusting anymore.
And he'd have bananas, apparently. So many bananas.
But that's for tomorrow. Today?
Today was the first time he walked across the old, but sturdy footbridge. The first time he glanced over at the shrine glowing faintly to his left, peeking from behind a small cluster of buildings.
It was the first day he stood on the threshold of his (and your) new home. The first time since awakening he felt the beginning of heartbreak as he realized you were not there to greet him. That you would not be living with him. Ever.
('For now,' He thought in quiet defiance.)
And the first time since he opened his eyes in that dark, eerily glowing shrine he felt loved. When his eyes adjusted to the darker light of the house and found a home waiting for him.
Not just an empty building with four walls and a bed, but a rug with pretty dark patterns under a heavy wooden table. A bowl of apples at its center, with thick candles at either side. An intricately sewn tablecloth just slightly hanging over the sides in delicate little weaves.
He felt loved when he walked around the front room, boot-heavy steps thumping softly on polished hardwood floors, slowly taking in the space (the blue woman waiting patiently at the door). The small wooden sculptures upon carefully arranged tables, cute and quirky banners and tapestries brightening up the dimly lit room (one was slightly lower than the rest, another was slightly off-center, and Link felt warm at the imperfections). Sunflowers, a bird, a rock formation, an apple tree, a cat with a bell.
A sword and shield rack. Two armor stands. A few weapon's plaque hanging above them.
The food in the kitchen pantry. Completely unnecessary, but for the way it made Link feel. The way it made his throat tighten and itch. The thought that this was put here because it was meant to be his home.
And so much more. So many things he couldn't even remember the uses for. So many bits and pieces that slot together into the jumbled mess that is a home. It was more than he had the heart to acknowledge without weeping.
Noticing his brewing turmoil, the blue woman spoke. "Perhaps a bath and bed before we speak of business. AM said you may be tired when you arrived."
Link nodded, unwilling to speak and risk his voice breaking entirely. Instead he allowed himself to be led to the washroom, holding back tears when he found bottles of sweet smelling soaps and hair cleansers on a small table beside a stool above a drain. A tub beside it all, shaped like a bowl but with a drain at the bottom and a water spout at the rim.
He looked to the blue woman, overwhelmed and dazed by the strength of his emotions.
Something in her softened at his lost expression. "Let me bath you, Master Link." She said, keeping her voice even, though her dark eyes were gentle. "Just until you learn how to do it yourself."
Link nodded. Quiet and trusting in his vulnerability.
She helped him undress. She made him sit on the stool as she gathered what she needed.
Her hands were so, so gentle as they brought a warm, wet towel over his dirtied, battered skin.
He nearly fell into a doze twice as she washed his hair three times until the suds came off white. He was only minimally aware of the strong (deceptively strong) hands that helped him into the tub. He nearly slumped into the side of the bowl, body completely lax within the warm, welcoming water.
He opened his eyes from one blink to the next and blankets (thick and soft, smelling of fresh soaps and linen) were being drawn over his shoulders. The pillow beneath him gave under the weight of his head, as did the mattress he laid upon.
Every part of him felt warm and soft and safe. He smelt like flowers and sweet nuts, his skin felt clean and supple under the tender caress of his nightclothes. The further dimming lights eased him further down into slumber.
"Rest well, Master Link. I will guard you as you sleep."
Link couldn't even bring himself to respond, lost as he was to the call to nothingness.
He was lost not long after.
"One day." The blue woman said softly, sitting beside the unconscious man with an amused smile. "I will teach you to identify sleeping oils before they reach you. But not tonight. For tonight you sleep. Tomorrow, you will learn to be wary."
She wiped her delicate finger tips across his relaxed forehead, a slight sheen left in their wake.
"Sweet dreams, Courageous One."
---
Link,
I apologize that I could not be there to greet you properly. However, after careful consideration I decided it would be safest for our paths to remain separate at this time.
Herein this text, you will find all relevant information I've amassed over the years regarding our world and the dangers within it. Including, but not limited to, the continued threat of the Yiga clan.
May you never have to make use of the less savory of this knowledge.
Yours truly,
AM

To the shadows I return.

How does isekaied Luthor get along with his companions?
Oh boy, it's gonna be a long one. I'm gonna make a list in order of appearance.
First, let me tell you that for ALL the companions, Lex WILL adapt his personality to be sure they will stay by his side. Because he's a manipulative bitch. But I guess everyone knew that already.
Lae'zel : She's an alien. And an alien from a species that tries to conquer the galaxy. So of course Lex first reaction to her and her people was not particularly friendly. But the fact she get things done, she's strong and efficient, made him quickly change his mind. He realized she was a very helpful asset. He also started asking questions about her people, to learn more about them because he's a giant nerd. Lae'zel quickly showed an interest in him: Lex is strong, charismatic (16 in charisma helps), smart and pragmatic, so of course she fell hard for him. And since it was just about sex and no feelings attached, Lex went with it. Lex still would betray Lae'zel if she wasn't enough of an asset for him anymore though. Lucky for her, she is pretty useful. He made sure to make her see what her Queen really was. And I think Lae'zel would now follow him until the end of times.
Shadowheart : Yes, Lex saved her on the mindflayer ship. For the same reason that he agreed to take all the others with him: he is aware he needs all the help he can get. So he opened her pod, hoping she could prove useful or throw her on a mindflayer to be able to escape. Fortunately, she was useful. The main issue is that Shadowheart tends to trust the wrong kind of persons, as you must know. And Lex is no exception. He did try many times to steal the artifact from her but failed. The fact she was avoiding telling the truth, though, that annoyed Lex pretty badly. When she finally revealed who she was, he at first was sceptical about her religion, but eventually showed great interest in Shar (you know, the whole "hope is pointless" was the moment he decided her religion wasn't so bad). Since Shadowheart was used to people hating on her cult, she was pleasantly surprised and well... let's just say she likes Lex. She approves his decisions most of the time and regrets hiding the truth from him since he's so trustworthy and comprehensive (lol). I think deep down she knows who he really is... but in the full meaning of it. She sees a broken man who will fight until the end to get what he wants. I think she pities him in some way.
Astarion : I was actually not that surprised when I realized Astarion and Lex wouldn't get along really well. Sure, Astarion approves Lex's decisions most of the time. But he still disapproves when Lex asks him to fuck off. Which is pretty often. For Lex, Astarion is annoying and clearly tries way too hard to get his nose into Lex's business. Also, the fact he hid he was a vampire. I wouldn't say Lex hates him, though. They have a relationship that looks more like siblings bickering. Astarion likes to mess with Lex and Lex likes to remind Astarion who's boss and who's the man who gave his blood so Astarion could finally be useful. I think maybe Astarion doesn't trust Lex because he reminds him too much of Cazador.
Gale : Ha. Gale. Poor darling. He really was right when he told Lex that he made him worse. Lex has a very bad influence on Gale. And Gale knows it. But he also knows he has no choice but to follow Lex to survive. He really is the one companion I'm truly sad about. He knew from the beginning that Lex was bad news but he went with it anyway. They both try to be civil with one another. Lex is a very good student to Gale and always listen to him when he talks about magic. Because for Lex, magic is science unexplained. And he's dying to find an explanation.
Wyll : Lex tried his best to manipulate Wyll. Only to fail again and again. Wyll isn't dumb, he sees clearly that Lex isn't a hero but is a selfish bastard with too much ambition. Lex thinks Wyll is an annoying goody two-shoes. When Wyll left after they attacked the emerald grove, Lex was relieved.
Karlach : Lex and Karlach didn't interact much. Lex did try to manipulate her as well but she too left camp after they attacked the emerald grove.
Minthara : She and Lex are adorable. In a creepy kinda way. That's all I'm gonna say for now because I will post screenshots of them later I think.
Halsin : Believe it or not, Halsin is still alive. He reminded Lex too much of Clark to be able to kill him from the get go. So Lex made sure the goblins already left the place when he rescued Halsin. Of course, Lex lied and didn't tell him he was with the goblins at the time. Halsin left, trying to reach the grove in time. Lex told him: "good luck". Maybe he did have luck because Lex didn't find Halsin on the battleground. He's hoping Halsin left and is still alive somewhere.
That's it for now. It may evolve as I progress into the game.

Reborn as a scum villain in a novel
read it on AO3 at https://ift.tt/8hcCQ0b by Speechless_since_1998 “Why did you help me?” Clark asked, genuinely baffled. And well, could he be blamed? Even if he was from outside, surely he too must have heard the stories about Queen's trashy adopted son, and how he was a bastard with no morals. Why would someone like that help a poor farmer? “You needed it,” he said simply. Mentally, Bruce added, “I want you out of this city as soon as possible so I can find a way back to my world.” The protagonist will stay for a week, barring accidents. Accidents that won't happen, because he refused to take part in that farce. Awakening in the world of Rise of Heroes, Bruce has only one goal: to return to his world. To do this, he collects ancient powers without any concern for his own health. Clark is more than a little worried (and attracted) to this strange man. I just love the idea that the Bridgerton spouses are all so protective for each other, especially in the Isekai AU. Or even when the Bridgertons are slowly showing their interests. Like Ben leans to close to Sophie? Kate pops up to take her away (glaring at Ben/. Anthony sniffing Kate? A second later Simon is there distracting Anthony while Kate flees. Colin stares at Pen's boobs a second too long? Look at that, Philip suddenl whisks Oen away to her mother for a nonexistent talk. And if anyone theres to try and mess them up, the entire spouse group is there wrecking misery and havoc to the poor bastard. Like yaasss give me protective spouses who will go out of their way to make sure they never get the bad ending they had in their previous life.
Yes, protective spouses over one another for the win! They're all like we all have issues, whether from family or society. Oh, hey, someone similar! Wait, what do you mean they been messing with you? Not on my fucking watch.
In the iskeai au, they obviously have Portia and Mary as well, and they'll fold in the family members they like, too, like Felicity, Edwina, and Posy. John and Richard are friends of a friend type of situation. But this group they formed is the first that let them be vulnerable and let down their walls.
Or have situations like wait, what's that weirdo Bridgerton doing? Oh no, not my siblings. Hold on, I'm coming to the rescue!
I know I just know the spouses have made many cry (or worse) for disrespecting one of the others. And God help you if you made one of them cry. Then they might get stabby or shooty.
This is their second chance and they all want to make sure the others and themselves are happy and loved.
None of them realize how tied together they are with their Bridgertons. Or the happy ending they are looking for does include them.

A continuation of this post. More reverse isekai yandere Seraph of the End shenanigans, but with the vampires this time ❤️
SPOILERS AHEAD❗
Tumblr media Tumblr media
If you thought things got spicy with the humans, get ready for these guys, goodness where do I start?
Your first encounter with the vampires is probably going to be a messy one and they'll all be separated into their own little groups. I imagine you meet Ferid and Crowley first, Krul is by her lonesome and then you have Rigr, Lest, Ky and Urd all meshed together in a group, along with probably some other vampires such as Lacus and Rene.
❤️ FERID BATHORY - He's a MENACE but he's also really freaking helpful, actually?? Ferid and Crowley were actually smart and went into hiding, unlike the others who ended up causing a ruckus but I digress. Ferid finds you incredibly fascinating and is intrigued by the fact that you know so much about everybody and what went down in their lives these past few years. He's probably one of the first people to actually believe you that you actually did see them as fictional characters at first, for the sheer lunacy of it if anything. Remember in my last post about this how I said how you are looking for a way to help Mika? Thanks to Ferid's snooping you discover that magic does indeed exist in your world too and that you will be able to change the vampires back into humans! It's a long ritual though and it's a ritual that Ferid is fully supportive of. He even promises to get the others involved in this, one way or the other, even if he has to trick them. He's a crafty bastard, he'll manage.
Ferid tails you like a shadow, he always pops up at the most random of places and he may or may not creep your friends and family out. God forbid someone asks you if you're dating him, he'll go bonkers immediately, even if he is just playing around. You're an amazing source of entertainment for him, he can't remember the last time he felt so alive....
The ritual must be working.
His emotions are coming back to him, and it's so refreshing. For decades now all he wanted was to feel something and you allowed him that luxury. His powers are amazing but you're more precious to him, he's even a little embarrassed with how lovestruck he is with you. He is still Ferid after all and he knows no shame - he will be a handful to deal with, that's all I can say.
Make sure to enjoy the rare moments of tenderness he provides though. It's surprisingly serene to see him so peaceful.
❤️ CROWLEY EUSFORD - He's opposed to the idea of being a human at first but he's quick to come around and starts to see the bright side of things. Due to his looks he probably ends up attracting a lot of people, you even had to smack your friends across their heads in order for them to stop ogling him like that.
Ah, that angry face you make is so cute... Crowley feels so soft when he's with you, you're so tiny and cute in his eyes. Your height or weight does not matter to him, you're literally so precious and cute to him. You know how humans react when they see something cute they feel the need to just grab and squish it, even if they risk getting too aggressive in the process? That's how Crowley feels about you!
He's also the voice of reason whenever you and Ferid are fighting, he always knows what to say. He's so good at comforting you. You tell him this and he feels... Giddy. It's pathetic of him but he does take care of you, he always says good morning and good night to you, he may or may not even watch you when you sleep.
Tumblr media
...Ferid joins in too. They really don't have much to do these days, even while you're resting you are still amusing to them.
❤️ KRUL TEPES - Poor queenie, all alone until you catch her feeding on some poor soul in some dark alley. Krul would prefer to keep a low profile but there's a good chance she killed a few people already because, you know, girl's gotta eat... Krul doesn't believe a word you say to her and demands that you tell her the truth. She even got super close to killing you, that's how riled up she is!! As a peace offer you give her your blood and she thoroughly enjoys her meal, to say the very least. It takes her a while but she starts getting used to your company, you being her comfortable clothes and you go on super long walks with her. She can unwind a little, and your presence is... tolerable. You're not as bad as the other humans at the very least.
She becomes very protective of you later on. She and Lest bumb heads several times because of this.
She accepts becoming a human begrudgingly. It's just something that needs to be done
❤️ LEST KARR - Put him in his place, I'm begging you. Arrogant bastard doesn't know what to do, he's so lost, someone help him. He keeps switching from utter confusion to pure anger like it's nothing, Ferid and Rigr find it funny. He finds you annoying, how dare you tell him what to do?! He's super antagonistic to you at first, but all of that comes crashing down once he gets the opportunity to taste your blood...
... he's hooked.
Lest can't recall when was the last time he tasted such hot, delicious blood. He leans a bit onto the tsundere scale but once he spots you he's really hard to get rid of. Lest always belittles you and throws snarky comments at you, but he's just shielding himself.
Hates the idea of turning into a human. He doesn't want to be weak. Also, his heart will start beating again... Which means that he will literally burn for you if that happens, gross....
He also curses the fact that he is stuck in the body of a child. That makes things a lot more complicated than it should.
...he also draws you. A lot. I'm talking like a full-blown sketch book filled with you and old fashioned clothes he thinks would look nice on you. He would rather die than to show these to anyone though!
❤️ URD GEALES - Acts like the perfect gentleman but probably scares you a few times by accident. Also doesn't want to be human, but haha joke's on him.... ANYWAY, he's easy to talk to but he always sends someone to tail you, probably Lacus and Rene, ugh. They tell him everything you do, Urd is so suspicious of everything and everyone but in his defense he has the right to be. Not much to say about him other than he may or may not bring this world to ruin because of his sheer strength alone.
He scares you, which actually makes him a little sad. He really does enjoy your company....
❤️ SAITO/ RIGR STAFFORD - You never call him Saito, never ever, even if he does insist you do so. He doesn't do much other than watch everything from the sidelines, he is in unfamiliar territory after all... Do make sure to keep an eye on his though, he's crafty bastard #2.

This world's evil god sucks, I'LL SHOW YOU HOW IT'S DONE! (Prologue & Chapter 1)
A Warhammer Fantasy Isekai
Chapter List
Tumblr media
Varxus, Chosen of Chaos, has known only war throughout his life. Pledging himself to the dark gods, he became an instrument of destruction slaying monsters, heroes, and kings alike. But his bloody service is interrupted when a powerful spell is unleashed on his warband and he alone is flung into another realm. Upon realizing that this new world's ruinous power is sorely lacking, Varxus decides to seize glory for himself, and ascend to greater heights than his former masters...
=====
Word Count: 4.5K Warnings: Descriptions of violence, filthy Chaos Warriors, and worst of all: children
Prologue - To a Day's End
The sun began to set over the battlefield, corpses of allies and foe alike scattered across it. Varxus eyes began to glaze over at the sight, every war looked the same in the end.
Varxus trudged along the blood soaked mud as the weight of his blacksteel armour planted his footprints into the floor. The sound of heavy chainmail was multiplied as he was joined by four others that looked similar to him.
All five of them were clad in black armour, adorned with golden trims, horns, and skulls hanging off loose chains. They stood well over ten feet tall, carrying weapons as large as they were. But upon closer inspection, they were all slightly different. Varxus, for example, carried a hammer that stood almost to his height when standing upright, and his red loincloth was caked in muck. A daemonic horn sprouted out from the right shoulder pad and his helmet's visage was that of a skull.
Compared to their more common brethren, they stood above the rest. Chaos warriors towered over a normal man, their armour resistant to the strongest blows a mortal could deliver. But, Varxus’s armour was blessed by the Dark Gods themselves, being empowered with arcane might, enhanced strength and speed beyond mortal limits, and the resilience to endure the worst of diseases. For Varxus and his comrades were not mere warriors.
They were Chosen.
Varxus marched alongside his fellow Chosen towards the city's walls. It was well-defended, as much as mere human mortals could make it, anyway. The city's back was covered by a wall, making anything other than a frontal assault impossible. It was there that they would find their mission complete by the moon’s rise.
His lord ordered them to stay their hand during the initial assault and wait for the lesser warriors to soften the city's defences. Their arrows and cannons would be spent, their soldiers battered and weakened, and most importantly, their guard let down.
"Let them believe they have won the day," said Varxus's lord.
"And as you approach, the sight of you shall turn even the most hardened veteran's guts into water!"
And sure enough, the sight of them did.
Varxus could see five soldiers trying to repair a massive hole in the city's defence before one of them pointed and yelled to the others. The warning came far too late, for the Chosen were already upon them. The first soldier didn't have time to react as Varxus's weapon found its mark. Clenching the rope banded grip of his Soul-Splitter hammer, Varxus let the momentum of the swing cave in the soldier’s helmet, metal embedding itself into his head.
He felt the familiar crunching of the soldier's head as the entire body was flung to the side, half of his skull flying off in bits. Varxus ignored the blood that had sprayed itself all over his left armour and continued walking towards the stairs leading into town hall. There they would find the ancient grimoire their lord had come here for. He didn't even have to look back at them to know they had done their part in slaughtering the poor bastards in their way.
Although the kills were efficient, it brought Varxus no joy. Once upon a time it did, when he was still a mere warrior, bisecting even the most heavily clad soldiers in half with a single swing. It brought satisfaction, knowing no mortal could stand up to the servants of Chaos.
'Hmph. What a fool I had been,' Varxus thought to himself.
Ascending to the ranks of Chosen had taught him something about the battlefields he had been in. The men and women he slaughtered? They were nothing. Razing a village to the ground and hearing the inhabitants scream as the life left their eyes? It was good for a laugh. But again, they were nothing.
Nothing compared to what he was ordered to kill. Heroes that thought themselves a champion of combat. Kings that thought no men could reach their inner sanctum. Monsters that'd make even a warrior of Chaos think twice engaging. Those were the kills Varxus lived for. It was what all Chosen lived for.
Offering their heads to the dark powers they served, in hopes of ascending to something even greater, was what Chosen lived for. And Varxus knew his name would strike fear in all those who spoke it in due time. But, right now he was offered no such glory. Their only orders were to grab the grimoire and return.
'This task is beneath us. How is there no worthy opponent in this entire damned city? Perhaps it is for the best that we wipe this pathetic place off the map. Perhaps the blood will make a fine offering for the Blood God-"
An arrow reflecting off his left shoulder snapped Varxus out of his reverie. A timely reminder. While his armour was empowered, the pathetic mortals could pull off a cowardly tactic that could sneak through his defences and end his long service unceremoniously. Varxus had seen it firsthand when his group kicked down a door, only for one of them to be blown apart by a cannon waiting for them. After that, Varxus had always learned to knock first before charging in.
"Pick up the pace!" One of his Chosen comrades shouted. "I will not have us die to mere farmers with sticks!"
"Hah, are you afraid?" Another asked, the mocking tone in his voice very apparent.
"Silence, newblood!" One of the females of the group barked. "The only ones who do not fear arrows are the ones that have never been shot by a hundred of them!"
The Chosen rushed the stairs as they held out their free arm to block potential shots from going into their eyes. As more arrows pelted them, the sounds of panicking soldiers became louder and louder. And when Varxus slammed straight into a soldier, they had finally closed the gap.
Varxus grabbed another soldier’s head with his free hand, crushing his skull and feeling the blood slip through the gauntlets. He used his lifeless body as cover as arrows shot into it, rushing forward at another three letting arrows loose at him. Varxus threw the body at the soldier’s allies and they all fell over from the impact while he raised his hammer. With one swipe across the ground, all three of their heads were reduced to paste and other bits he long forgot the names for.
He turned his head and saw his fellow Chosen do the same. One Chosen tore a man in two with his bare hands, while another split a man sideways with his axe, starting from the head and ending somewhere in the chest. The other two simply swung their weapons as the soldier’s upper torsos exploded into gore, staining all five of them with still warm blood. Perhaps feeling the same as Varxus, none of them even bothered to gloat over the foolish mortals as they finished up the rest. They all wanted this menial task over with.
All five of them marched side by side as they approached the door at the top of the hill. They all quickly rushed to the side of the entrance, staring at Varxus while he slowly raised his armoured gauntlet.
Knock knock knock!
No response.
Varxus clenched his fist and slammed against the door, making it swing wide open and fall off its flimsy hinge. When the door landed, a dozen more arrows flew out as they heard the panicked voice of an older man. With their element of surprise gone, the Chosen sprinted to the doomed defenders as their weapons were raised high into the air, ripping them limb from limb.
When the dust settled, there was nothing left of the soldiers, other than hacked limbs and leftovers of their heads. Varxus sighed, this carnage could have been at a more glorious field. In fact, why were they needed here? Surely even the armourless marauders could’ve taken care of this. Hells, they would’ve actually enjoyed this. Regardless, it was not his place to question his lord, or the Ruinous Powers. He turned his helmet’s gaze onto the old man trying to back away from them in fear, back against the wall. Most likely the governor.
All the Chosen looked at each other to see who would speak. Even though they were all wearing helmets, they could tell Varxus rolled his eyes. The old man grabbed the Grimoire, shouting and crying incoherently. Varxus and the other Chosen approached the old man, sheathing their weapons.
“Cease your snivelling, I have no mind to prolong your death this day.” Varxus said blankly.
What Varxus said only made the man panic more, shouting even faster as he flipped through pages. To even use the Grimoire, one would have to be blessed by the Lord of Change himself, Tzeentch. Tzeentch was one of the four dark gods Varxus and the other Chosen pledged themselves to, and he gifted all those in his service arcane might beyond mortal limits. The hope for a better day, the desire to learn and grow, the spite to see all your enemies burn, all empower the Lord of Change.
So to see a bumbling mortal mess around with such a sacred artefact uselessly made his blood boil.
“Rip it from his hands.” Varxus said, turning to the female Chosen.
“Tch, not even worth my axe.” She grumbled as she stomped towards the old man.
‘Let this day end already. I wish to be resting back in my tent…’ Varxus thought to himself.
As she approached him, she suddenly stopped in her tracks. As did every other Chosen in the room. The grimoire suddenly began glowing in the old man’s hands as his eyes widened. The winds in the room suddenly picked up and began to blow violently, pushing even the heavily armoured warriors slightly off their feet. The old man started shaking profusely as the skin off his body began to melt, daemonic whispers from the grimoire turning into shouting. Suddenly, the Grimoire exploded into blinding light that incinerated the old man, the open book landing onto the floor and unleashing its full arcane energies into the air. The female Chosen was blasted into dust from the first blast. Varxus had known her for the last three decades. He always thought her end would come at the hands of some great beast. Not reduced to nothing so nonchalantly. The second Chosen started twitching before his screams turned into short stutters, his armour collapsing into itself, turning him to a small ball.
“FALL BACK!” Varxus shouted to the remaining two.
The three of them tried to run before the Grimoire let out one final explosion, sending them all flying off into the air. Varxus was spinning out of control, grabbing his weapon and trying to reach for one of his fellow Chosen’s hands. It was then he realised the explosion didn’t just send them flying into the air, they continued flying despite the fact they should’ve lost momentum seconds ago.
The orange coloured skies suddenly warped into all manners of colours, combinations he didn’t even know existed as the light blinded him. When he regained his sight, it looked like they were travelling through some kind of portal, the first Chosen dissolving into nothing as he fell into the stream while he spun out of control. The last one Varxus tried to save before he too was lost in the stream, the figure of his armour quickly vanishing.
Varxus saw the light getting brighter, and he gritted his teeth, bracing for impact. The light suddenly opened up into a lush green forest as he tumbled into several trees, snapping them from their trunks. His hammer came dangerously close to crushing his head as it landed right above him. Varxus fought through the burning fire in his muscles and taste of blood to see where the portal was.
Through the portal, he could see four figures staring back at him, the sounds of laughter coming through it. He did not need an oracle to tell him who they were.
“No…! NO! DO NOT LEAVE ME HERE, I BEG OF YOU!” Varxus shouted, grabbing his hammer and ignoring the pain as he limped back to the portal.
As he reached out a hand in futility, perhaps some small chance he could return home, the portal was shut. There was no trace of the portal, besides the echoing laughter of the gods he had pledged his life to. This was the reward for nearly a century of service? Of bloodshed in their names?
Varxus collapsed onto his knees, staring in silence for a brief moment. He felt the dark blessings on him begin to numb, clearly cut off from his patrons. Wherever he was, he was not in his own realms.
He was not home.
“…Damn you…! DAMN YOU ALL! I HAVE DEVOTED MYSELF TO YOU, AND I AM MERELY THROWN AWAY? I WAS CHOSEN BY YOU, TO BE MADE INTO YOUR INSTRUMENT OF DESTRUCTION! YOU WOULD LEAVE ME IN SOME FORSAKEN WORLD, BEREFT OF YOUR BLESSINGS?!”
No answer.
“FINE! TO THE DEEPEST HELLS WITH YOU THEN! I WILL TAKE YOUR POWERS, AND FIND A WAY TO SURPASS YOU ALL! DO YOU HEAR ME?!”
Varxus threw his helmet down onto the ground in a violent fit of rage, punching the nearest tree and making it topple over into another. He grabbed his hammer and swung wildly as he cursed their names. All of them had dedicated their lives to the gods, and still it came to this! All of them dead but him, all the killing they had done in vain! After a few more minutes of him flailing about, he ran out of breath as he laid against one of the broken trees, his hammer collapsing beside him.
“...So be it.” Varxus said, defeated.
He was to dedicate the rest of his life to their service. In hopes of ascending into greater power, to become legend. But his goals had been thrown out now. Varxus had never considered his fellow Chosen friends, but at the very least he had respect for them. Some of them he fought beside for over fifty years. Now all of them are dead. There wasn’t even any hope of meeting like-minded warriors now that he was in gods-knows where.
Varxus was lost.
He was alone.
He clenched his fist and a small blue flame came out from his palm when he opened it. He was still able to tap into the winds of magic here. That was a good start. And if there was magic, there’d be a greater power here. It would be a hard fought battle, he had no idea what would await him. But all he knew was that he would slaughter the first foolish mortal that would get in his way. Varxus grabbed his hammer off the floor as he adjusted his helmet.
“I am Varxus! Chosen-…No. I refuse to acknowledge these…These false gods! I am Varxus, no longer am I a slave to any power…I will make my own fate.” He confidently said, the blood boiling into adrenaline as he set off for the nearest landmark-
“Um, mister?” A girl’s voice said.
Varxus stopped dead in his tracks when a small girl with cat ears looked at him curiously with wide eyes, tail swishing side to side. Her eyes were burning a hole through his dark helmet, both of them saying nothing as they stared at one another.
“Are you okay?” the girl said, breaking the silence. “You’re just shouting at yourself-”
“WHAT IN THE SEVEN HELLS ARE YOU?!”
=====
Chapter 1 - KILL, MAIM…Barter?
The girl was startled by Varxus’s very loud question. Her tail stopped moving as she tilted her head in confusion.
“Um…What do you mean?” she asked.
“You are no human, and you’re definitely not anything I’ve seen before…!” Varxus said, backing up a little.
Suddenly, Varxus was glad no one was here to see this. Here stood a Chosen, backing away from a little girl. Every instinct told him to smash the abomination of a “girl” into a pulp, but something stopped him from doing so. He had no idea if it was the bewilderment, or some deep seated fear that something terrible would happen.
Not to mention her appearance was extremely off putting. Varxus wasn’t bothered by the cat-like appearance. He had seen Daemons of Slaanesh that looked vaguely similar. It was her face that bothered him. It had almost zero-cat like features, and her eyes were far bigger than a regular human, not to mention the lack of lips. It appeared to be a straight line when it wasn’t moving, but when it did, it just turned into a circle. The nose seemed to be a dot, at least viewing it from the front.
When Varxus stepped to the side, he could see the nose form a crescent shaped line. It was only then he realised something looked off about his armour as well. The colours of his armour looked flatter than before. And why the hell were the edges of him outlined, as if drawn by ink and quill? He looked at his Soul-splitter hammer and saw that it too was outlined. Varxus had too many questions and no answers to any of them.
“I hate everything I am seeing,” Varxus grumbled, looking at both of his hands.
“Oh, are you just confused about what I am? You humans sure don’t go out a lot,” The girl said, crossing her arms. “I’m a Nekokin!”
“I…see…”
Varxus eyed the rest of the girl, trying to push aside her horrifying facial features. Now that he was viewing her with a more critical eye, this was unlike any child he had seen before. She wasn’t malnourished like every other human child, she wasn’t armed with anything to defend herself, and she certainly didn’t look like someone who was afraid. Most children he saw either began bawling on the spot, or ran as fast as their little legs could carry them. This girl was the bravest he’s seen. Or the stupidest, considering she doesn’t know who she’s speaking to.
But, perhaps he was the stupid one. After all, he had no idea what anything in this world was capable of. For all he knew, this little girl could snap her fingers and reduce him to ashes in a blazing inferno.
Pushing aside those thoughts, Varxus focused himself back on the conversation. He needed information, and this little girl was the best he had for now. Although he looked far from a gentle being, it couldn't hurt to feign friendship. She seemed to not care about his appearance anyway. Varxus was the most vocal out of his group of Chosen, so perhaps he could negotiate with this foul child.
"Tell me where I am, or I will tear your head from its shoulders." Varxus barked.
…It was then Varxus realised the only times he spoke to children was when he threatened their lives. Thankfully, the girl seemed not to care about his lack of social skills.
"You're near my house!" The girl replied cheerfully.
"Your house? Don't you mean village? Or town?"
"Nuh uh. Mommy says it's safe by ourselves. The Dark Lord attacks those villages."
Dark lord? Now she had his full attention.
"Is he the only one?"
"Yea, but he controls lots of scary people. Those scary people hate everyone."
Well, at least there was something familiar in this new world. Varxus grunted and sheathed his hammer, keeping an eye on the girl as he slowly backed away, and against his better judgement, turned his back to walk away.
"Mister? Where are you going?" The girl asked.
"A vantage point so that I may find the nearest town. I must gauge if this 'Dark Lord' is worthy of my time."
The girl ran and cut him off, a terrifying smile forming as she did so.
"If you need to get to town, maybe daddy can help you!"
Varxus flinched as she got closer. If she took one step more, his boot would find itself lodged into her skull out of pure battle instinct. It bothered Varxus to no end how much she intimidated him.
"Pray tell child, how would he help me?" Varxus asked, trying not to look her directly in the eyes. It was as if she could sense the fear through his helmet.
"He has a cart that can take you into town, he likes meeting new people!"
Weighing his options, he could either rid himself of this monstrosity that'd make a Chaos Spawn blush, or accept her offer.
After a moment of silence, Varxus sighed. He had no allies here, no minions to command, and worst of all, no knowledge. Unless he wanted to get killed due to his ignorance, he'd have to go along with her whims for now.
"Fine, but make this journey quick, child," Varxus grunted. "My patience runs thin."
"Okay! Follow me!"
She ran cheerfully back onto a dirt path, while he trudged along reluctantly. Varxus took the time to look around his environment, and it was only now he realised that everything else in the world was outlined. The trees, the grass, even the skies and sun. It was as if he stepped into a painting.
"Of all the realms to be banished forever to…" Varxus muttered to himself.
Finally accepting that he and everything else in this world would look like a drawing, the next thing he noticed was how bright everything was. His old world wasn’t entirely devoid of colour, but even the grass displayed better health than the humans he met. And the times he did see bright colours was when Tzeentch or Slaanesh magic were involved. Those were blinding to look at, nothing to say about being on the receiving end of the spells. Here it was somewhat pleasant to the eyes, assuming one cared about that sort of thing.
Varxus stared at his gauntlet wondering if his armour had always been this dark before he heard the girl slow down in her steps. The girl curiously examined him up and down as his helmet slowly turned to her.
“What?” Varxus asked, clearly annoyed.
“What kind of suit are you wearing, mister? Are you a knight?”
“No, I am a Chosen…Rather, I was.”
“Chosen by what?”
“Do you intend to ask me nothing but questions the entire trip, child?”
“Hmph! I have a name, you know!”
“I did not ask-”
“It’s Mimi! Mimi! Stop being such a jerk!”
Varxus’s eye began twitching. The more she prattled, the more he could hear his hammer begging for blood. Surely, the peace of mind would outweigh the consequences of killing her? His imagination stopped Mimi from being turned into a red stain, however. The image of her neck outstretching into impossible lengths to consume him viciously filled his mind, staying his killing hand.
“...Fine. My apologies, Mimi,” Varxus spat out, the venom in his tone almost threatening to turn to full blown physical violence. Mimi on the other hand didn’t seem to notice his sarcastic tone.
“Hm…okay, I forgive you, Mister…?”
“Varxus. You would do well to remember this name.”
“Va…Vark…? Your name is hard to say, I’m gonna call your Var instead!”
“Do that and I will tear your-”
“Where are you from, Var? I saw you fly out of that portal!”
“I will not speak of my home.”
“Why?”
“STOP. ASKING. ME. QUESTIONS.”
“...”
“For the love of- Stop asking me questions, PLEASE.”
“Okay, fiiine. Hmph, you’re no fun. Humans are all so serious…”
Varxus has been here for a total of five minutes and he already felt a burning sensation to flay Mimi and her family alive. Whatever these ‘Nekokin’ were, they deserved to burn in the deepest pits of the Seven Hells.
Finally getting his wish, the two continued in silence on the trail for half an hour. Upon reaching an isolated house surrounded by trees, Mimi skipped happily to the door and swung it open. Varxus followed somewhat closely behind.
“Papa! I found someone who needs to go into town!” Mimi shouted happily.
Varxus stood by the door and could only see the man’s legs from the doorframe. He would have entered, but he physically could not fit. The top of the door came up to his chest. Though it was clear he wasn’t the only one to notice this.
“M-Mimi? Step away from the door…” a man’s voice said nervously.
Mimi did so without missing a beat, her father slowly approaching the door. Varxus stared straight down at him, bending his neck so he could actually see the man’s head. The father began to tremble, Varxus simply crossing his arms in response.
“H-Hello?” the father shakily said.
“Cease your shaking, I do not intend to harm you or your family.” Varxus replied.
“Who are you…?”
“Varxus. I am told by your daughter you can bring me into town.”
“That I can. But what’s a man like you doing in the middle of nowhere?”
“Is it that uncommon to see an armoured knight around these parts?”
“A human knight as large as you are, I’d say so.”
“Not even the Dark Lord’s forces are as big as I?”
“I’ve lived for a hundred and thirty four years, you are the biggest thing that wasn’t a monster I’ve ever seen in my life.”
So, there was no Chosen equivalent in this world. Good to know.
“I will enlist your services so that I may arrive to this town.”
“Well alright. I’m happy to help, but it is going to cost ya.”
“...Cost?”
“Gold, son. Don’t tell me you spent it all on that armour of yours?”
Varxus genuinely didn’t know how to respond. Gold was essentially useless in the service of Chaos. And when it did matter was before he…Before…-
‘No, do NOT think of that right now,’ Varxus commanded his thoughts. That was a rabbit hole that did not need to be delved into. Varxus recollected his thoughts before he replied.
“I do not have any gold.”
“I see. Well, tell ya what: I gotta head to town anyways to pick up some supplies. You protect me with that big ol’ hammer of yours, and I can get you to the town. Deal?”
‘This is ridiculous. Playing bodyguard to a lowly merchant.’ Varxus scoffed internally. ‘No...No, this is a perfect opportunity. There is a chance this merchant could be attacked by this Dark Lord, as well as the town. If I can destroy his forces, it should give me the information I need on whether or not I can take his power.’
Varxus slammed his right fist onto the left side of his breastplate.
“My services are yours.”
“Perfect. Mimi, I’m heading out. Tell your mother I’ll be back tomorrow.”
“Okay, bye papa! Bye Var!”
Varxus was glad his helmet was on, otherwise Mimi’s father would’ve seen just how much he wanted to kill her this very instant.

So the community of Death is the only ending for the Villainess in my country are totally fine with Penelope's and Siyeon's abusers. I really have to thank you for opening my eyes or else I'll be blind like them
Penelope's and Siyeon's adoptive families literally abused her, starved her and neglected her. Yet people used the excuse:"They just haven't opened their hearts to her and are struggling about how to express their true feelings to her". Ok sound like BULLSHIT
Like WTF??!!! They acted horrible and abusive to her so what's this about not expressing their "true feelings" ? I've seen cases of tsundere but this ain't about someone in denial or struggling with how they truly feel, this is about bastards who objectified a poor girl due to their oversized ego and mysogynistic morals, bastards who think a girl just need pretty stuff as apologies
They hurt her, that is the only truth there is. They only see her as an object of entertainment, one they used as they pleased.
They only cling onto her bc she acted unusual or intriguing as how they see it, which is usually weird to me as how everyone just love the girl when she's someone else. I mean it's understandable if they were strangers at first, but we're talking about abusers here
These men does not love or care about Penelope, they just found her interesting bc she's different now. It's all attraction not affection
All of this shit about "they treated her like shit but they actually care" are complete trash to me
vadd really seems to be full of abuse apologism and the readers eat that up. I'm concerned that the majority of them doesnt question anything and just accepts what the narrative presents to them. Critical thinking skills? Never heard of them. It's like they can't form their own opinion. Comment sections of Isekai manhwas all look the same as if they were AI generated. Anyone who doesn't echo the same opinion gets shut down quickly. They don't want a realistic portrayal of abuse survivors. If there's one they'll get frustrated or start to victim blame. *cough* I'll twist the neck of a sweet dog *cough*
When I first read vadd I was happy that the abuse was so severe because it would mean there was no way the author would find a way to excuse this kind of behaviour. It looked really like we were getting a revenge story. Imagine my disappointment when I got spoilered. You can't defend the duchy by saying it was just a misunderstanding. Calling Penelope slurs, denying her an education, isolating her from a social life, locking her up, starving her because she threw a tauntrum isn't being tsundere it's straight up abuse.
I have no problem if the vadd fandom simps for an abusive fictional character as long as they know what they do is abuse, but calling Penelope paranoid and partly guilty of the abuse as well is horrifying. How would the same readers react to an irl abuse case if they think the Eckarts behaviour is no big deal? I have the suspicion they only insist on the abuse being a misunderstanding because they think they are not allowed to simp for problematic characters if they aren't morally pure/misunderstood hence why they seek to justify their crimes somehow (hardcore Callisto stans are the greatest offenders here).

Ice of Wings: Part 2
Tumblr media
Disclaimer: I do not own Zatch Bell, The Duke of Death and His Maid, Urusei Yatsura, and SMG4 Fandoms: Zatch Bell, The Duke of Death and His Maid, Urusei Yatsura, and SMG4 Rating: T Summary: Don't ever come between a girl and her love for chocolate chip mint ice cream. Wario learns the hard way. AKA Suzume and the gang go to the crystal palace after she discovers her favorite ice cream was stolen and finally locate a ice wing. CrossFic Type: Isekai AU, Modern Setting Genre: Adventure, Humor, and Parody A/N: Just a stupid second chapter with possible OOCness, stupidity, and shitty writing.
Walter was reading in his bedroom when Suzume's enormous eyeballs broke through the wall. Walter just stared back at her eyeballs and closed his book.
"What did I do this time, Suzume?"
"Did you eat my chocolate chip mint ice cream?" Suzume's voice asked.
"You know, you could have asked me in person until using this world's flexible ability to stretch your poor eyeballs."
"Too bad! I'm too lazy! So, answer the damn question, Wal!" Suzume's eyeballs shook.
"I did not eat your ice cream," Walter frowned. "I don't even know you like chocolate chip mint."
"Well, it's freaking gone! I brought four gallons of my favorite ice cream flavor last night!" Suzume kept staring into Walter's eyes suspiciously. "Well, if you didn't eat my ice cream, who else did?"
"Can you just talk to me in person?! Your eyeballs are creeping me out!"
Tumblr media
"Hey, Suzu! I know who stole your ice cream!" Ataru exclaimed. "It was Wario!"
"Who the hell is Wario?! Doesn't matter! Where's this Wario's hideout?!" Suzume whined.
"Oooh, just rather well go to the hideout! There's also a ice wing there!" SMG2 reported, looking at a computer screen. "The hideout is located in the Crystal Palace, Shiver City. There's also another stolen ice cream there!"
"THOSE BASTARDS!" Suzume dashed out of Princess Peach's castle.
"A ice wing in a frozen hideout, full of ice cream. How convenient." Walter was just so done with Suzume's obsession with the damn chocolate chip mint ice cream. "That girl shouldn't even be eating four gallons of ice cream anyway."
"But, you still like her." Ataru grinned.
"What are you talking about?"
"No time!" SMG1 called out. "You have to meet up with your friend! There's danger waiting for her in the crystal palace."
Tumblr media
Minutes later, Ataru and Walter dropped onto the snow from a portal in midair. They spotted Suzume in front of the crystal palace, trying to break in by banging on the crystal door.
"GIMME BACK MY CHOCOLATE MINT ICE CREAM, YOU THIEF!"
And one more person joined the group. A portal appeared, and Viola exited.
"The heck?! They didn't tell me that it'd be this freezing!" Viola rubbed her arms and attempted to keep herself warm.
"V-Viola?!" Walter widened his eyes in shock.
"Walter?!" Viola called back, also in shock.
"Holy crap! How did you get into the SMG4 universe, Viola?!" Ataru gawked at her.
"Well…" Viola gazed at the sky blankly.
Tumblr media
In the real world, Viola, Mendo, and Duke, aka Viktor, were looking for Suzume, Walter, and Ataru after realizing her stupid secondborn brother and his friends had been gone for hours.
"I bet Walter and Suzume are just making out somewhere while Ataru is hitting on girls as usual!" Viola complained.
"The heck, Viola?!" Viktor gaped at his little sister. "You don't have to describe Walter's and Suzume's relationship in that matter!"
"Shut it! I can describe the truth how I want!"
"They aren't even dating!" Mendo pulled out his katana. "I swear! If I catch Walter kissing Miss Suzume, he shall pay it with his life!"
"Calm down, Mendo! I'm sure Walter, Suzume, and Ataru are doing fine!" Viktor had gotten in front of Mendo, waving his arms to calm him down. "There's no need to resort to violence!"
"Oooh, what are those pretty colors coming from?" Viola pointed to a rainbow-shining rope attached to a unisex public bathroom.
"Hmph. Maybe a dumb kid forgot his jump rope." Mendo rolled his eyes, annoyed.
"It's shiny, Mendo! I'm going to take it! FOUNDER, KEEPER!" Viola ran towards the bathroom in excitement.
Duke and Mendo saw rainbow lights flashing from the bathroom. They went inside to check on Viola.
Tumblr media
"And that's how we got into this world, big brother, Ataru!" Viola grinned, giving them a thumbs up. "Oh, Mendo and Viktor are in the WetDry World."
Meanwhile, in the WetDry World, Duke and Mendo were batting a Chuckya.
"Calm down! I won't hurt you!" Duke dodged the Chuckya.
"YOU SHALL SUFFER DEFEAT AT MY KATANA!" Mendo strike his katana at the Chuckya.
The Chuckya turned around quickly, grabbed Mendo, and threw him off a building.
"AHHHHHHHHHH!" Mendo fall into the water.
"MENDOOOOOOU!" Viktor screamed in terror as he was also grabbed by the Chuckya and thrown off, joining Mendo.
Tumblr media
"So, yep! SMG2 sent me here, saying you idiots would need my help in VIOLA STYLE!" Viola spun around in thrill.
"…." Walter stared at his little sister palely. "Do you really have to describe my relationship with Suzume that way?!"
"It's the truth, is it, Walter? I caught you two kissing in your bedroom once~" Viola grinned in amusement.
"THAT'S BECAUSE WE'RE DOING PRACTICE FOR A PLAY THAT INVOLVED KISSING, VIOLA!" Walter's face reddened.
"You lucky bastard!" Ataru grinned teasingly. "You get to make out with the girl you like!"
"Not you too!"
"Geez, you just said your forbidden word, big brother." Viola shrugged and went to help an enraged Suzume, who kept slamming her forehead against the crystal door.
"GAH!" Walter coughed blood, fell onto the snow, and passed out.
"Dude, come on." Ataru sighed.
Tumblr media
Sir! A chick is trying to break into our hideout!" A lackey reported to Guy, who was sitting on a crystal throne. "There are also three more losers helping her!"
"NOOOOOO! THEY SHALL NOT STEAL THE ICE CREAM! GET THEM!" Wario ordered.
"You bastard! That's my throne you're sitting on!" A captured Crystal King was tied up and hanging from the ceiling. "You shall pay for defying me!"
"Oh, shut it!" Wario threw ice poop at Crystal King's face, but it didn't have an effect.
"Surprise, bitch! I can absorb ice and snow!" Crystal King suddenly became powerful enough to tear through the rope. He flew straight toward Wario and headbutted him. "GIVE ME BACK MY THRONE AND PALACE, YOU PUNKASS FATASS!"
"NO! I SHALL NEVER!" Wario kicked the Crystal King in the balls.
"AHHHHHHHH!" The Crystal King was rolling on the floor, holding his thing in pain.
Tumblr media
"Now, where's my freaking ice cream?!" Suzume had finally broken into the crystal palace and beat the crap out of Wario's troops.
Ataru, Walter, and Viola looked so worn out from the fighting. Suzume still has the energy to move forward to bring back her favorite ice cream flavor.
"So much for ice cream," Walter mumbled.
Suzume turned her head around quickly in the exorcist style and glared at Walter.
"What did you say?!"
"Nothing. And I'm getting creeped out by your exorcist-style flexible neck."
"HMMMMMMM?" Suzume's eyeballs became large and stretched out. "YOU DON'T FIND ME ATTRACTIVE ANYMORE?"
"WHERE DID THAT IDEA COME FROM?!"
"Geez, stop flirting and get a move on, you two!" Viola walked passed her brother and Suzume, heading towards the next door. "Is there anyone inside?" She took a peek and witnessed Bob about to get murdered by N. "…." She closed the door quickly.
"OH, MY OVARIES" Bob's voice screamed.
"Just a strange-looking guy and a white-haired guy with sharp teeth and wings." Viola sighed, having her hands on her hips. Then, she looked annoyed when she saw Walter on the freezing floor, blood coming out from his mouth, and was passed out. "ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME, WALTER?!" Now, it was Viola's turn to stretch out her eyeballs.
"Hey, Viola. Where's Suzume?" Ataru noticed Suzume was gone.
"Oh shit! We need to find her!" Viola gasped.
Tumblr media
"SURPRISE BITCHES!" Suzume had finally broken into the throne room. She had startled Wario and his lackeys as they were about to eat her ice cream. "HELL NO!" Suzume took a bell and rang it.
Swagmaster696969696969 and his partner, Chris Gordman, crashed through the wall. They were in their army tank.
"LOL LOL LOL! Suzume summoned me to do her dirty work!" Swagmaster declared proudly.
"No, you idiot!" Chris facepalmed. "We're here as her backup!"
"It's the same thing, Chris, LOL LOL LOL!" Swagmaster turned his "thing" into a cannon. "SUCK MY BALLS!"
"What in the actual bloody fuck?!" Walter widened his eyes in amazement at Swagmaster's new weapon after he and the others arrived at the throne room.
"Walter! There's a ice wing hanging from the ceiling!" Suzume pointed at the said ice wing tied up in a rope. "Go get it! I'll keep these guys busy! Ataru, Viola, help him!"
"NOOOOO! THE ICE WING IS WORTH A LOT OF MONEY!" Wario shouted. "Don't let her get it!"
"YOU GREEDY CHUBBY FUCK!" Suzume countered Wario. "AS IF MY ICE CREAM WASN'T ENOUGH!""
"Chubby fuck?!" Walter reacted to Suzume's unusual colorful language as he found a ladder and used it to reach the ice wing. "She's been playing too much GTA: San Andreas."
"Hurry up, big brother!" Viola was holding onto the ladder while Ataru was getting his ass kicked by Swoopulas, Duplighosts, the Magikoopas, White Cludda, and Crystal King's crystal bits. "Suzume and the others can't last long!"
"I know, damn it!" Walter called out in frustration. "Geez, Suzu owes me a date after this!"
"LOL, LOL, LOL!" Swagmaster69 used his cannon to blow up the enemies while dancing around. "I'M THE KING OF THE PALACE NOW, BITCHES!"
"The hell?! You almost kill me with a cannonball!" Walter exclaimed at Swagmaster69, pissed off.
"You're just jealous because you ain't getting no bitches!" Swagmaster69 countered back with a chuckle.
"Screw you!"
"This is getting boring," Viola was gazing at her smartphone while shaking the ladder with one hand.
"STOP SHAKING THE LADDER, VIOLA!"
"You're done now, fatass!" Crystal King finally confronted Wario alongside Suzume. "Now, hand over my throne, troops, and palace! And the ice cream to this young lady while at it!"
"Oops!" Wario smirked. "I ate the chocolate chip ice cream! It was so delicious! Four gallons, baby!"
Everyone gasped and froze. Walter gaped at Wario in shock. Viola's and Ataru's faces have lost color. Suzume was now furious. How dare Wario eat all of her favorite ice creams?
"YOU'RE GOING DOWN, YOU FAT FUCK!" Suzume took out a couple of fire plants that she had gotten from Mario earlier. She also took out a mega mushroom and ate it. She transformed into a giant.
"….Oops." Wario was now terrified. He could sense the furiousness from Suzume.
And the next thing everyone knew, the crystal palace had blown up into pieces.
Tumblr media
Hours later, everyone was back at Princess Peach's castle.
"You found the ice wing!" SMG2 smiled as he took it from Walter and put it inside a freezer. "Good job!"
"Yeah, I owed the Crystal King a rebuild of his palace." Suzume smiled awkwardly.
"And you owe me a date," Walter whispered.
"A date?" Suzume blushed, surprised at Walter's words.
"Never mind what I said!" Walter said, walking out of the room.
"So, the bad guy was Wario?" SMG4 paused his video editing and raised an eyebrow. "I'm not surprised. That guy can be shady sometimes."
"Mario gotta piss," Mario said, attempting to pee in Ataru's iced tea.
'WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU!" Ataru grabbed Mario and tossed him out of the room.
"So, how do I get to the WetDry World?" Viola asked Meggy.
"Oh, it's easy. Just jumped through a painting of a water spider on the second floor." Meggy smiled. "I'll go with you."
Meggy and Viola had walked out while SMG4 refocused on his video editing. Ataru dumped the iced tea in a plant, refusing to drink it, and went back to the kitchen to get a refill in a new glass cup. Tari and Suzume followed Ataru, leaving SMG4 alone, and headed towards the lobby.
"So, are you and Walter dating?" Tari asked in curiosity.
"…No, we aren't. We're just friends." Suzume blushed at the question.
"Oh, that's cool! Want to play video games with me?"
"Sure."
"REFER TO SUZUME AS ANIME TITTLES AGAIN, AND I'M GOING TO MURDER YOU!" Walter's voice bellowed from outside.
Suzume and Tari took a peek via a window and saw Walter choking Rob while Rob's eyeballs were oversized and stretched out.
"ALL RIGHT! ALL RIGHT! JUST DON'T KILL ME!" Bob pleaded. "DON'T HURT MY OVARIES!"
"YOU DON'T EVEN HAVE OVARIES, YOU DUMBASS!"
"Well, Walter would be a good protective boyfriend, Suzume." Tari giggled.
"….I guess." Suzume just turned her eyes away from her new blue-haired friend shyl.

the villanous genre rarely delves into the political and social commentary of being set in an old and highly corrupted fuedal system.
in fact, most of the time the narrative usually ends up supporting the classism and social ques presented in the setting despite the MC supposedly being a "modern person". the MC is also now typically presented in such a way that they have become a person in power, usually one who now has a shit tonne of money and influence in high society. the MC is usually also portrayed as having been an underprivileged individual in their past life or, at the very least, having had a boring past life of being overworked at the whims of capitalism, so they should know the plights of the working and poorer class. but they just dont give a shit unless its to randomly show off how "noble" and "kindhearted" they are to one or two random orphans getting bullied in the streets. but rarely do they ever participate or try to change the system and cause social reform. the better villainous stories are, of course, the ones that do try to do this however clumsilly written. but at least they try to acknowledge the classism.
the weirder ones would even acknowledge the class divide by showing off "poor people sections" but then dont actually do anything about this!! like the MC is usually a high ranking noble woman and the ML is typically either the crown prince or the highest ranking duke but NO the narrative rarely ever asks huh if the ML is so powerful and rich why does their kingdom still have incredibly poor slums and poverty, where is the social reform and policies this rat bastard ML is going to implement to better and change the lives of his citizens huh?? what is that fucking paperwork he is doing 24/7 then??!!
all of this is to show how and why slapping the transmigration / isekai narrative into a story can in turn hurt the overall story and not only MC but also the ML's character establishment.

Just finished New War and Angels of the Zariman, and well, the Drifter’s got me thinking about writing fics again. God, I really should write for any of my other fics, but instead I’ve got a thousand ideas about Warframe crossover fics and Tenno versions of characters.
First one I thought of was, unsurprisingly, a BNHA crossover. They’re way too easy to write. And besides, Deku without morals is one of my favourite types of him, and that’s pretty much what all Tenno are.
Now I’ve got thousands of other things to do, but instead I’m going to write out this dumbass idea here so I don’t forget it like I do most ideas I have. That’s pretty much the point of my Tumblr account - screaming random story plots into the void.
So you’ve got your usual crossover plot, some Isekai Void portal pulling Tenno!Izuku into the BNHA world alongside Excalibur Umbra, because Izuku deserves the best father. Cut off from the Lotus, Ordis, with nothing but Umbra and his weapons, he starts exploring the weird young forest devoid of several metre thick trees, and eventually comes across a city in the distance. At this point, alternate dimension/universe is already in his mind, since Ordis would be able to connect to him in the case of pretty much anything other than that.
Now comes the problem of the BNHA timeline. Not sure why I chose this universe in the first place, it’s not exactly the place where you can shove a murder-happy version of the main character without severe consequences. But I like writing that, so whatevs.
In any case, they get there during, hm, let’s say the Hosu Arc. While Izuku’s marvelling over the city and wondering where the hell he is that these weird cities that aren’t Grineer or Corpus, Umbra notices the Noumu. Points them out in the far distance, and then the two of them notice them beginning to wreak havoc. Deciding that that’s probably not normal, Izuku transferences (is that a word? what is it even called when the operator enters the frame?) into Umbra and the two go for the city to help.
Yada yada, an Excalibur would drop a Noumu in literal seconds, but the two are struck by there just being... normal humans. Just people, around the city. Just being dudes, ya know.
Except it’s not like those exist anymore in Warframe, right? Massive cities just don’t exist anymore - at least, ones not under Corpus or Grineer control. The only one is Cetus, and even that is fairly small. Unless the Eurasian Zone has actual cities, who knows. At least Relays and Factions - well, just New Loka and Red Veil - have a fair few humans.
So it’s fair to say Tenno Izuku would be slightly surprised by that. So would Umbra, tbh. Anyways, Izuku cuts up the poor Noumu into literal pieces, saving a few rando humans. Walking up to them after the Noumu’s dead, he examines them, still pretty confused while they’re scared. Leaves to go fight another Noumu before he can speak to them - there’s three or four in Hosu, right - and on the way, Izuku spots another fight in the alleys. Cause, yeah, gotta have him meet his alternate self ASAP. He jumps out of Umbra, sending him towards the Noumu as he goes towards the alley fight. Maybe he grabs Skiajati as he leaves, idk. Katana fights are cool, and I like cool.
So he saves Iida from Stain, beats him because, well, even without a Warframe he can go incorporeal and invisible, move incredibly fast, and probably knows how to do all the shit he can as a frame but just doesn’t have the physical capability to. Operators are weird yo. Like, they’re in majority control of the frames, you can see that in quests. They have to know on some level how to bullet jump and juggle knives. Anyways, beats Stain, though the noseless bastard probably has some stuff to spout about heroism beforehand. Now a Tenno would probably kill Stain, so he’s about to do that - maybe Skiajati, maybe Void blast - but Iida, still on the floor, is like, what the hell, Midoriya.
Izuku, who’s met his Drifter and is well aware of alternate universes, realizes. (Bear with me - i have zero fucking clue on how the Drifter came to be.) Ah fuck, is there another me running around? Leaves Iida and Stain just before Deku arrives and jumps back into Umbra, who’s fighting Endeavour far away. Noumu’s already dead, a shame, and Endeavour’s always looking for a fight, especially with a random silent murderous swordsman. Which would be hypocritical, since he pretty much killed the Noumu himself in canon, but eh, he’s an asshole.
Gran Torino’s also there, so Izu decides to get out of dodge and rethink his decisions against weird humans who can fly and make fire. He’s pretty sure that’s not normal. Umbra howls, and the pair skips town. Climbs up to survey the city, and decides that now that they’re for certain in a new universe, his main objective is returning to the Lotus and Ordis. But a little internal struggle - this new universe is interesting, and after fighting and winning two wars, maybe he’d like a little peace.
Flying Noumu suddenly steals Deku like normal, so he kills the thing. Grabs Deku, and is like, oh shit dat me.
Throws himself back to his friends and runs away. Nope, not dealing with that, not today.
And that’s all the concrete stuff I have. Other than that, just snippets of things that could happen to a Tenno Izuku in this world.
Deep talks about trauma - after all, this Izuku likely had to kill his own parents - conversations about the void and what decision made Deku - after all, One For All is kinda weird hmm - and just Tenno interacting with normal humans. Encounters with Wally would be fun - Toga as well. Other species, such as Sentients, also taking the plunge into some Isekai portal and entering this world could introduce much more chaos into the plot. And an alternate version of the normally heroic Deku suggesting murder as a response to mostly everything would be fun to explore, since most of the time it’s done from the perspective of an evil villain version, but this Izuku literally only knows that. Like, do the Tenno even see it as evil? It’s certainly justified in most cases, but there have been times where the Tenno just kill. Most people see them as cold-blooded mercenaries, after all. Keeping the balance of the Origin System is almost a secondary objective.
Other than that, I’ve had this Drifter idea for other things as well. Demon Slayer, maybe. Though, tbh, a single Warframe would destroy that world in hours. Star Wars. Would be a little more balanced than others. Just more ideas for crossovers that I like to scream out and that’ll never be written lol.
Instead of this weird thing, I should probably write the Warframe/Destiny thingy I’ve been cooking up. Or, y’know, one of my ten current fics. Yeah, should probably do that. Eh. Maybe one day. I’d like to write a Warframe fic at some point, though. Not nearly enough of them.
Oh, and if you have any good Warframe fic recommendations, please send them my way! I’ve read a bunch, but I really want to read some good crossovers.

Isekai Shoukan wa Nidome desu Novela Data
(the data is a little messy but I try to show when it is happening)
Setsu tried to commit suicide by killing Touma the first time, his friends avoided him.
Setsu tried to find a way to return to his world with information from manga and novels (idiot)
The princess really hates Setsu and most likely she or someone else who favored Touma killed him (they say it's summoning but ne, we all know it's not).
Setsu's allies wanted to summon him again to stop the war, which explains how it happened a second time.
It is confirmed that Setsu's allies knew that Touma was not a monster like Setsu still believes him to be.
(Apparently humans are 40 or 50 in 163 years but let's ignore that).
Setsu's bag is a storage space (he still doesn't know the spell apart).
It is confirmed that Setsu was going to leave his homeworld to live on Eclair. (You...Bastard).
Elka and Yuuhi and all the allies apparently agree to kill for Setsu since he himself refuses to do so (ah... moron, hypocrites)
Setsu recognizes that Touma was loved by the kingdom and that is why they hate him (half wrong half right, given the discrimination Touma suffered).
He also recognizes that allying himself with demons and beasts would make him look bad in human eyes, but I still don't think it is understood that escaping in itself is treason. Setsu still doesn't understand that no one in the war was a saint, he still thinks that in that country humans are the worst. (Ha, of course...).
It is also believed that Setsu believes a lot if just by "ordering" the world kings they avoid a war.
It is confirmed that Touma, after being revived, worked alongside other companies to earn money, such as Terran, where Kagerou was his bodyguard.
The brooch that Setsu gave to Dyssastre has his name on the back, although it is not specified whether it is in Eclair or Japanese writing (we can say Japanese for the sake of saying that Setsu did not learn the writing).
Setsu's sword came from the demon realm, it seems that it was given to him by Dyssastre and his original name is <Schwartz> (yes, Kuromaru is much easier than this).
It is confirmed that the three kingdoms used to summon heroes but it is not confirmed because the other two stopped doing so.
There is a member named Luna in Touma's group who was never shown in the manga.
Setsu died in Eclair at 18, he was summoned at 15, so he spent three years in Eclair with Touma.
Setsu confirmed that he wanted to have a harem as a fantasy (makes you want to hit him).
Setsu knows that the demon and beast continents fought each other, but he still believes that only humans are unreasonable.
In a moment with Dyssastre hugging Setsu from behind, Setsu thinks that "if that guy were a woman" referring to Touma (in the novel the internalized homophobia in Setsu is quite noticeable).
According to Setsu, there was no strong king in Destinia. Only Dezas and Regulus were strong.
Interesting facts, the demon kingdom seems to have a strong Japanese influence around clothing and having ninjas.
Touma wanted to die before being summoned (yes, he was already depressed before) .
(Apparently Touna had parents who discriminated against him because of his appearance, saying he was scary, he never received kind words until Setsu, the poor boy.)
Setsu was disappointed when it was confirmed by Shironeko that it was Touma who was behind everything.
Setsu, before he killed Touma, saw Touma as "pure". The phrase in question was after the final fight with him, and was "I'm glad to see that pure smile again." (Friend, how can you not realize?).
Setsu told Touma after the battle that he "has no intention of dating a man" (there is).
In the last fight, specifically, moments with Creati, Setsu acknowledged that Touma could have beaten him at various points in the fight, but why Touma did not do so is unknown.
Touma is confirmed to be gay in the most epic way against Asmodeus' fight in the Creati Arc.
Kouma, a classmate of Setsu (ikemen in both attitude and appearance) becomes Touma's apprentice. This guy also used to defend Setsu from bullies, but Setsu didn't give a damn abou it.
Yuuhi betrayed her classmates in favor of showing her trust to Setsu's friends (poor girl, she got along well with them).
According to the God of Death, while Setsu was locked in the sphere, she tells him that she thinks differently from others even before (which isn't actually true, but she sure got Setsu off.).
Setsu believes that he and Touma are monsters, and was glad when the god of death or his mother saw them as "children".
(Apparently Yuuhi is descendants of Aphrodite and is now immortal like Setsu PLEASE IGNORE THIS).
Setsu believes that he didn't fully bond with his second family, which makes sense since he also didn't open up about the whole secret of his past life. But he's also such a jerk that I've been planning to leave his world since his first life, so he can go fuck himself.
At least it confirms that the personalities of the first mother were more lively compared to the second who was calmer.
It is confirmed that magic power can be hidden. With Amulet hiding Brad's magical power in the battle against Merua.
It is revealed in Setsu's pov, in the fight against Ruga, that Touma created a curse-based spell he called Pandemic (according to everything, he must have done it during the year when Setsu was still in the castle) that works similar to a Pandemic but based on curses. It is known that it must have an origin and can be removed if the origin is removed, Mineko is immune by withstanding a curse from Touna for two years (there are people during the war who can overcome curses however).
(Some spells require mental effort, or a lot of concentration like telekinesis or controlling the Earth or water, isn't Setsu good in that area, Touma? Well.... God have mercy if he is his enemy).
According to the novel, Rouga actually obtained Touma's curse tattoo secretly from him (Except this makes no sense, since Rouga received respect from Regulus and obtained a victory against Roroa, although according to her he only won because she was In his period, it still wasn't that big of a deal. Unless he wanted to torment Setsu's lovers....it might be possible given his unstable mind back then, but I still prefer the point in the anime where Ruga was the one who asked. having that tattoo and power, just to balance the scales for these guys really).
Levia told Setsu of her wedding dress preference after rescuing Dyssastre. (uhhhh).
Rouga seemed to be quite an intelligent and strategic beast, as he worried about how Regulus almost went to war without taking into account the state of the kingdom. (he seems to get along with Roroa just because of this, since Roroa seems to understand how the world of politics works a little and accepted the duel to see if Setsu cared)
Touma wanted to free Setsu from the sphere (although in the manga they imply that he was the one who locked him up, in the novel it was his mother or god of dead Yes, quite...), but he acts as if he had locked him in front of him. Setsu's friends (proof that he acts like this).
Elka believed that Setsu wanted to stop the war to save his companions. It wasn't that, Setsu knew to himself that he only did it because he wanted to have fun and the war would ruin him. He didn't tell Elka that though.
Yuuhi and Kouma got along well. They were friends it seemed. She seemed to like Kouma and wanted to protect her and she didn't like the idea of killing but she knew it would be necessary. Yuuhi is colder to the idea of killing in the novel.
Yuuhi's friends know that if she moves with enthusiasm it's because Yuki is involved. Yuuhi has no fashion sense. Something Setsu regretted. Generally, if something looks good on her, it's because someone else chooses it.
Elka has a favorite tea and coffee shop (the coffee probably comes from Bestia).
Touma calls his sword a holy sword (which seems to be common in that world) But Setsu called it "excalibur" for some reason.
Touma's subordinates know that he is in love with Setsu. However, they are able to attack Setsu for Touma's sake.
Touma is shocked and tries to prevent Gaia's suicide (and then says that he doesn't matter to Setsu's friends).
Touma acts calm about his love for Setsu in private, but only acts obsessive in front of him. He signals that he wants to be seen as a villain even though he isn't.
Touma did not want to avenge Setsu's death until Kouma encouraged him to escape. (He also believes that Kouma in emotion resembles Setsu, he also calls Kouma ikemen, but for attitude, most likely).
The Terran company investigates heroes and biological experiments. It is also implied that there are demons working with them, since they would be one of the few who could kidnap twenty children without leaving a trace.
The king only made Setsu of Elka castle very strongly, even though Margaret (the princess) hates him and did not want tragedy or shame for the rest of the heroes.
During the fight with Touma it is revealed that Touma had eight subordinates. Apart from the four always mentioned and Gaia and Luna. There was a guy who was only there to fight Leviathan named Saiya and another kid named Loom/Room (his power is to control things inside a room). Room during this was in Destinia castle to protect the king and princess. He is then defeated by Zeon's illusions. The princess and the king are killed by Zeon and Lamian (when Setsu finds out he thinks it went too far to leave Destinia in chaos, but he doesn't say anything to his friends. According to him, he hates Destinia despite having no real reason. .And no, being summoned *kidnapped* by them is not a good enough reason since Setsu didn't see the situation as a kidnapping, only Touma did and Setsu didn't understand Touma's warnings about being careful).
During the final fight with Touma, Setsu fights with the class briefly, reflecting on how the heroes were unreasonable in power, as the class was considerably strong despite being only weeks in power. He defeated them even when they had an "awakening in power" saying that he did not defeat their experience (this is not always the case and in reality he is being hypocritical by saying this since he defeated beings with centuries of experience, don't fuck with me Setsu). But he let them go. A note that he understood why people looked at Touma and him like monsters. (Yes, he mentioned it).
Also during the talk in the sphere with his mother to himself he says he is relieved that there are people who still consider him and Touma people (wow, he can't get it out of his head).
During his trip with Destroyer he meets the principle Grus of Destinia (he appeared out of nowhere), he was escorting him without knowing that, so he meets Zeon and Lamina who were planning to kill the prince, the last of the human royalty who remained. The next day he appears dead but who knows who he was. (Stares).
During the fight with Creati, after Touma's, Setsu is relieved to fight alongside Touma. He began to value the feeling of having someone and fighting alongside him. (With Zeon and Lamina we confirmed that Setsu actually, although he loves his friends, he doesn't really trust them for fights, since he generally did everything alone and the rest just watched)
In the final fight with Creati, at one point Yuuhi was injured and Touma helped her see Setsu (even though she before her said she hated her and that he only helped her so she could stop Creati).
During the fight with Touma, before Kagerou and during the fight with the class. There is a Setsu pov where he says that he is envious of Kouma's pure white sword. Confirming that he has a kind of envy for people he considers "pure." (And possibly he had, or still has, a bit of Touna's envoy as well, since he also considers it "pure")
During Setsu and the class's fight. Yuuhi lies to him and says that she was attacked for showing loyalty to the demon kingdom, when she was the one who started the attack.

Parents and/or ancestors of the muses (at least, parents and ancestors who have been mentioned, not noting children of parents who are already muses)
Armok Ailbhe– Noted to have been raised by an aging Hylian couple, who have since passed. Bryn Llwyd– Said to have been raised by a poor family. Delphine Langlois– An isekai! We don't know SHIT about her parents, they're from Terra. Erdan Tiltathana– We know nothing of his parents. Gateni Yaeldrin– Her parents are Hylian nobles who hold land, but that's all we know. Gwyn Dubhscian– Came from an abusive family that she ran away from. Halcyon Nivard– Daughter of Reynard Nivard and Lisa Kuma. Reynard was an infamous pirate captain who was caught and hanged; Lisa took over as interim captain until Halcyon was ready to inherit the ship. Isaac Michaels – Son of Ralf Michaels and Emmeline (needsmaidenname), the former of whom died in war shortly after Isaac's younger sister Connie was born. Lambda Blackscale – Second born daughter of Naivara Scathaith and Sheezrar Faenorin, the latter of whom perished in the razing of the Faenorin manor. (Wondering if I should add Valanthe Faenorin, Lambda's elder sister, as a muse; she is, however, a psychopath and a villain.) Leonard Edwards– Noted to have been born to farmers. Lita Arcuna I – Daughter of Reim Arcuna and Gazenir (needslastname), a Gerudo noble and Hylian blacksmith who are both deceased. Has a deceased twin brother, Meritz, who died around the same time. Thorn Stanton – Son of Alexander Stanton and Abigail (needsmaidenname), a former Hyrulean royal guardsman and a Gerudo outlaw. Will keep his lineage secret at nearly any cost. Raithyon Blackscale – Son of Tarhun and Tatyan Blackscale, who perished when the Blackscales' home Sableflame was destroyed by monsters. Also has a deceased younger brother, Mugrunden, who died in the same. Raven Allaway – Son of Devin Allaway and Rowena (needsmaidenname). (Twilight Princess verse ONLY: Notably, Devin is the son of Link Allaway, the Hero of Time.) (Age of Calamity/Breath of the Wild/Tears of the Kingdom verses ONLY: Devin is deceased, killed in battle when Raven was a teenager.) Rhoam Bosphoramus Hyrule – Stated (by mun, this is headcanon) to have been born to a noble family in Lanayru. Sandalio Ferro – Born to a family of knights pledged to serve the Liuvigild family as retainers; Sandalio left that line of service because the Liuvigilds are shifty nobles. Shanz Dinrel – Another isekai! We don't know SHIT about his family, they're from Terra. Okay, well, in some verses he is adopted by the Dinrels of Floria– John Dinrel and Guinevere Murray, and becomes a younger brother to Bryant Dinrel, Raelynn Dinrel, and Jason Dinrel (who is usually deceased, but I'm playing with not having him killed). In yet other verses, he's born to them instead of Jason. Taunch Kimbatuul – Born to frost dragon father Madrash Kimbatuul and Hylian mother Caomh (needsmaidenname), the latter of whom died of illness despite Taunch's best efforts to find healthcare for her. Vair Bhelthir – Born to Gildas Bhelthir and Lavena Glynn, who were both killed by a flame dragon that destroyed their holdings. Notably, Vair has a younger sister, Cara, who lives. Wulf Arcuna – Born to Reim Arcuna and Gazenir (needslastname), as Lita's younger brother. Tragically, his parents and older brother died shortly after his birth. Wynne Mulrennan – Born to Diarmuid Mulrennan and Riona (needsmaidenname). Has a younger full sister, Aine Mulrennan, and a number of bastard half-siblings, courtesy of Diarmuid's indiscretions. Zehka Orokane – Known to have hatched to a family of wild sky dragons, and was disinherited for being clumsy and lacking in intelligence.

Reborn as a scum villain in a novel

Clark is more than a little worried (and attracted) to this strange man. short (not short) rambles about serpents quest
these ended up mostly being about solei
sq was originally a more blatant parody of light novel isekais, villainess stories, and their tropes, and then as it developed it slowly became more genuine and serious to the point where it needed a new name.
i like giving characters secrets a lot... almost everyone in the main cast and outside of it has a "big reveal" moment aside from like. lily, which i couldnt picture anything for because she kind of feels too young to have a major secret. (she does, but its not really as plot relevant like the other ones)
solei was born out of frustration for the "wild beastman" love interest character archetype (which often includes a ??? power dynamic and inherent bullshit because those characters are also often. slaves. who get bought by the protagonist. great. the slightly improved version that shows up is when they're just desperately poor and living on the streets and get taken in by the protagonist.
to contrast, solei and wolf are intended to always be fairly equal in their power dynamics, and if anything, wolf would be at the rough end, since he owes some of his debt to solei. solei himself is not rich, he's definitely poor, but he's working poor. he's also, in contrast to the majority of beastman characters, not a) conniving or b) extremely aggressive. a trait he does keep is being generally protective, but instead of it solely manifesting as being quick to violence, he's often trying to get people to think through their ideas. generally ranging from "i dont think this is a good idea..." to "wolf, don't do this. [information he gathered] this isn't going to go well. youre going to get hurt." he's the conscious that keeps thinking about the consequences and trying to do what he can without resorting to violence to keep the people he cares about people safe. he's just really thoughtful in general and kind, but its not like he lets people walk over him. hes smart, he pays a lot more attention to peoples words and actions than he lets on, but he's usually using this for his own safety and others' comfort. he also often caves and goes along with wolf even on the bad ideas, because even though he doesnt think theyll work out (and he's often right) he's not someone who can walk away when a friend is walking into danger alone.
anyway yeah, i really wanted like, a love interest character who felt like a warm hug and wasnt going to pull manipulative bullshit for serpents quest because theres already enough of that going on, but without that necessarily translating into him being a pushover. that was the goal with solei and im trying my best to keep him that way. also this isnt a condemnation of manipulative bastards, those guys are fun and i write plenty, it just wasnt what i wanted for serpents quest.
the romance in serpents quest is like a b or c plot. its not a huge part of it but it does happen and is gonna be a canon gay relationship ultimately where they get together Before the series ends. so you can actually enjoy bearing casual witness to a continuous relationship instead of it just being a dramatic kiss at the end and then the curtain call. it's not the driving force behind the majority of the plot although it does play a slightly bigger role in some events (eg: the masquerade). its meant to be something that slowly creeps up in the background of all the adventures, happens, and then becomes a usually passive part of wolf and solei's character interactions.
side note but solei's design is probably the one that's changed the most drastically. as well as his character story, but his personality has been pretty consistent. he was a character i struggled with visualizing for years so its a huge event that i finally have something im comfortable sticking with
also solei doesnt even know what his secret is, and its one of the big ones.
