btw guys i keep seeing people accusing quackity of misgendering tilín and i thought i should set the record straight. in (i believe) his second stream with tilín he asked tilín if they were a niño or a niña (boy or girl, thought niño is both masculine and neutral because there is no official neutral word in spanish so it’s more like boy/child or girl) and tilín said niño. the fact that tilín later said to charlie that they use she like juana, and note they never said they were a girl or that they only used she, doesn’t mean that quackity was misgendering tilín, especially since quackity wasn’t there and wasn’t ever told that by tilín

as for quackity more generally saying son all the time for every egg, you have to remember that he’s been mostly streaming in spanish, and that swapping between languages, even languages you’re fluent in, can cause you to lose some nuance. i’m almost certain, based on the way he’s been using son as essentially equivalent to child, that he’s thinking of the word hijo (again grammatically masculine but socially masculine and neutral) and forgetting about the nuance of hijo vs son. this is not a slight on quackity at all, but his grammar in english has been slightly less accurate in his most recent streams (for example he said “unlegitimate husband” instead of illegitimate today) because again swapping between languages can cause you to lose nuance or remember all of the grammar correctly

all that to say, quackity isn’t intentionally misgendering any of the eggs and he absolutely isn’t misgendering tilín

I would love to read a story about the Hargreeves siblings interacting with more of the 43 children, since I do love dramatic and sad stories, could you imagine one of them getting really sick, like Five having cancer or something, Five accepting his fate, but his siblings don’t, and after knowing there’s more of them out there surely there must be one who has healing powers right? The story shows them going all over the world, trying to find them, seeing all the different kinds of powers and since Five is as stubborn as they come he insists in coming with them in the beginning, seeing as he gets weaker everyday until he’s finally forced to stay home to receive treatment, Diego and Allison staying with him since I do love that trio and since they’re finally interacting with him without the apocalypse breathing down on them they get to talk about their childhood from Five’s pov and they get to see just how much Five shielded them from their dad which is why Diego said that Five ‘skipped out on his golden years’ Reginald was always like that, Five just wasn’t there to take the brunt of it. I do like happy endings, the Hargreeves are about to come back after receiving a call from Diego that Five only has hours to a few days left when they find her, the healer. She comes back when Five already fell asleep to a sleep the doctors won’t believe he’ll wake up from and tada! He’s healed. At this point five really has to suffer for his siblings to pay attention to him 🙃

this relationship is so curious to me. it’s not at all tender or kind or trusting, nothing like what mulder shares with dana. mulder hates krycek from the very beginning, and he only builds up more hatred for him as time goes on. krycek kills his father for his own pathetic cause. he’s a traitor and a rat and he’s sent to destroy mulder because dana scully couldn’t. mulder spits out vitriol every time he’s in the same room with alex, and beats his ass a million times. he leaves him to die in russia, cuffs him to balconies, lets black goop devour him in a locked room. he knows alex killed his father but never just kills alex and alex is a trained killer, yet he is often overpowered by fox, who is notoriously good at getting his ass beat. mulder and krycek are the polar opposite of mulder and scully, but they share one important thing: a passionate mulder. mulder loves and hates wholly, never a man for halves of anything, and those who are at the tail end of both of those emotions are forever bonded to him. i wouldn’t call it love that they share, not at all, but i imagine fox feels for krycek what the angels felt for lucifer: he is one of mine but destroyed, beautiful but ruined. krycek is this ugly betrayal, but pretty as a girl and essential, and fox mulder can’t ever kill him.
