*idk what I’m doing here- it started off with a shoto x gender neutral (fluff~ sfw) HC with a shoto x F reader (Nsfw) drabble at the end. idk read on**

He knew about you from all the talks he had heard from his classmates after a music award event (since you won like 5 awards there & were the youngest to do so), especially Jiro, since her dad had worked with you in the past & you obviously always knew Shoto Todoroki,, since for crying out loud, he’s a UA student with a pretty cool quirk.

you were a blabbering mess at first while showing him the concert venue only cuz you were about to face a huge crowd in 4 hours after an indeed shitty day. he caught on to your nervousness & blandly states with a straight face “It’s okay to feel anxious but there are hundreds who are waiting to see you as you wave to the farthest, sprouting up smiles on the faces of million more. Being in public eye can be tough.. I was talking with my friends earlier & they informed me all about the criticism you’re facing for doing this concert, despite the attack earlier. But I think you’re no lesser than a hero having enough courage to do this; as I can see that you wish to bring positivity. And if anything happens.. I’m here.”

After a bit of pause, you started laughing with tears in your eyes. “I didn’t know I needed that- thank you for the encouragement,”

& then he was over thinking cuz he didn’t know what was so funny about his words a casual airhead shoto moment

untillllll,, your bracelet got stuck just before the performance as even todo is had a minute panic attack since he didn’t want you to get late dont ask me where the other staff members were, prolly shoved away by the paparazzi who pretty much appeared from a worm hole & proceeded to invade ya privarcy, tryna imagine a disney kinda romcom here shushhh

You guys were considered public from the get go, tho nothing was happening.

Though many debated that the whole incident was just misinterpreted, as you revealed how the events played out on twitter, cussing at these privacy invading monsters, practically dragging those airheads through hell on twitter, there were a few hating on you for ‘luring’ their hero stan & vice versa.

& also a few existed who cheered for you both, that’d include me:)

that didn’t hinder your friendship. y’all decided on not meeting in public but continued to chat & video calls anyways-

initially starting with ‘tf our careers are affected’ to ‘fuck em’ we know what we’re doing’ to soon talking more about Japanese culture (assuming that you weren't familiar with much you weeb) to casually sharing the teenage angst cuz ya parents don’t really care when it came to emotional well being:)

his dad asked him once to put out a public statement denying the rumours too but Shoto just pulled the ‘you first clean the mess dabi made of ya repo, it has been 2 years already’ card on him & his dad sighed i guess- idk y im makin shoto sound so arrogant here, that kid is really going through a lot in recent chapters

Shoto was never a social media kinda guy, & soon you decided to withdraw too due to all the overwhelming accusations, death threats & rumours you read about you. no one was talking about merely your song or your OOTD anymore, but just your personal life.

you guys talked a lot, ending with words synonym to ‘just know that your ass is being loves’, in a more romantic way over time, but none of you either got the clue or were willing to confess-

The story truly progressed when you visited UA for a performance during school fest as per the request of ya dad’s friend, Present Mic. You were a bit hesitant at first since since your dad had pretty much cancelled everything on your schedule for that day without your consent but you decided to tag along, hoping to meet Shoto-

& it was supposed to be a surprise visit except he knew it already- cuz like- he’s a student here- you were basically too excited to use ya brain cells

as you stood behind gym gamma with him (location of the show) - lets just say- the conversation went something between the lines,, with you exclaiming ‘surprise’ once you guys meet face to face but he wasn’t surprised at all??? & then the realization hit like a wrecking balllllllllll~

this is followed by an intense facepalm

his stare grew intense while you just kinda stood there embarrassed. Soon you abruptly jolted as you looked up, ‘am I making this awkward?’ you thought as you smiled nervously. that's when you got a glance of his beautiful heterochromic eyes.

the nearness of your face made him flinch. somehow unbothered, your gaze traveled to the rest of his face & the next thing you knew was that your hand was on his burn, as you caressed it gently.

He continueed to look upon you with colours flushing across his face.

he was deeply thankful for you to be there, thankful for your existence & somehow proud too- but he couldn’t justify why he felt so-

lets make this clear - no one was planning to kiss, you were just mesmerized by his beauty & his scar, which suddenly seemed much more mysterious

“Y/N,, huh you’re pretty short. I didn’t realise it in the-”

“Are you kidding me Todoroki!? That’s you say during such a romantic moment!?” this was enough to bring you back to your senses. Before you could react someone inside the gym yelled, “Mineta, idiot. Why did you scream?”

Todoroki and you instinctively looked up towards the tall window of the gym. You immediately recognized the tense heroes & grinned as you waved at them enthusiastically - it was Deku, Uravity & Chargebolt, without their hero suits.

You were about to greet them but, while expecting the least, the window opened upwards, revealing Grape Juice as he yelled again, “What’s the fucking point of being tHe bEsT LoOKiNg bOy iN tHe cLasS when you can’t even get the clue of when to kiss someone!? How dense are-”

well, his soon got muffled by Uraraka & Kaminari before he could spit anymore. Your head quickly turned towards Todoroki, who seemed shocked too, as he looked up towards them.

yea you did see his chiseled jaw line and drooled over it for a few micro seconds

“Ahhh carry on! Oi mineta- I- I mean you guys are made for eachoth- ahh I mean we! We didn’t mean too. Carry on.. no not in that sense- I,” Deku was claerly a mess up there a he tried to justified with his hands making gestures in all directions.

you shifted your attention to todoroki & found him almost concealing his laughter as he looked in the opposite direction towards the dense tree cover, with one hand moving yours from his left cheek.

ahhhh wtf you had your hand there all along!???

or more like, he wanted to kiss you on the cheeks, so with a hand around your waist - he pulled you closer, but it ended up in your hair when you, a surprised lil creature with fragile heart, unknowingly looked away towards his hand to confirm that its real.

& lowkey ruined THE bigger moment.

“Shoto?” and soon a recognized where that peck of kiss was supposed to be-

That’s when you heard Bakugo yell, “How can someone mess up so bad!? Jeez. these two!” laughing harder with each word, & soon a few more joined in as izuku simply goes red of nervousness & jiro simply shuck her head, making you giggle too-

You whispered an apology while Shoto just stood there blushing, looking somewhere far away-

that's when you decided to go in for a kiss instead but that's exactly when Iida said something between the lines of how it’s ok & things like this happen in love. Yea he said LOVE loud & clear- and. thats. when. you. and. shoto. kiss. like,,, exactly at that second. did i mention that already?

im using less words to describe this supposedly heartfelt moment cuz this shit is supposed to be a HC drabble but like,, just know that its way more romantic with snow & everything. just imagine

nothing had to be said after that,,, you guys pretty much started dating-

nothing was official to the people

in spite of immense care while meeting in public, a few people would capture pictures of you & him at times & post it

& now, there are fanfics about you guys. ngl the plots are better & more engaging in a few than whatever mess you’re making in your life in the name of love

whenever you would meet - he loved to hold your hand, though he’s not much onto PDA. you guys would always wear a mask when outside along with a huge hoodie that Todo mainly wore to cover his scar. Slowly, as you both slowly started having cozy indoor dates once it was kinda understood that both of you rather preferred that.

moreover, him being a hero & you being an international singer, there were times when months would go by without meeting each other in person (maximum till now being almost 3)

the once bared careless attitude slowly started disintegrating as the comments became much more hurtful & harsher, by both people outside & in your personal lives

while shoto’s family had approved of you, tho his dad was hesitant, ya parent were not really okay with it tho they didn’t hinder cuz of the publicity ngl ya parents are pretty bad huh-

your own fans started calling the relationship pretentious while many others never failed to blame you if Shoto messed up on his missions, even slightly. No way he was bad at his job, he was far from that but,, many failed to recognize that at the end of the day- you both were just humans like any of them & had a life & relationship outside their careers

honestly, you both didn’t even meet much to fight & get bothered over such petty things. before even words were uttered, you practically would hug him like a teddy bear as he embraced you too.

you had a disagreement once over how he doesn't opens up to you even if he’s visibly stressed. It went on for hours with you finally acknowledging that can’t just be poured out with merely few words.

you both agreed on feeling as if you were missing out on major things that were happening in each other’s life cuz of how much time you spent away from each other.

he would to play with your hair a lot & is really concerned of it since ya work basically requires you to always have perfect hair that’s usually prepped after a lot of heat treatment, curling & even dyeing.

& also, on your birthday - besides ya b’day gift that he got for you, he sat with a satin ribbon tied around his head as he claimed himself to be the best gift you could ever receive-

well, he is pretty straightforward & practical I’d say-

after the release of a recent album themed on love, especially long-distance relationship, many fans theorised how the songs could be connected to shoto but you just never publicly gave any explainations to it.
