"How are you doing this!?" Raph pulls at the chain around him. Mikey wraps more chains around his arms, glowing yellow pooling in his eyes and down his face in tears. "Stop it! You're not leaving! I don't care if you want out of this family! W-We're going to work out our problems and nobody is going anywhere!" "Mikey, none of us want to leave the family! It's the hallucinations!" Donnie insists.

"H-How do I know that!? Leo and Raph fought so much just because they couldn't understand each other! L-Leo was just going to let himself die! None of you can promise me that you won't leave!" "Mikey-" "No! W-We're all going to apologize! I-I'm sorry for being so annoying.....-I'm sorry I can't use my arms a lot yet. I'm sorry you think I hate you Raphie!" He shuts his eyes, making more tears spill out.

Raph's jaw drops. Mikey only calls him Raphie nowadays when he wants something especially badly and his puppy dog eyes weren't working. When they were younger, that's all he called him.

It‘s late.

The room is dimly lit, the only light that was offered being the few shroomlights that were hanging around the bunker.

The room is quiet, followed by the soft rustling of feathers every time he brushed his fingers ever so carefully through the black and tattered wings.

A yawn escapes him and he momentarily stops his movement.

Etoiles is angry tired.

His eyes glance down at the soothing weight against his legs, watching the smallest of movements every time the curled up figure took a breath.

Phil is still here exhausted, and passed out.

His head rests on one of Etoiles‘ legs, arms curled around himself and a blanket barely draped over his resting figure.

The floor wasn‘t the most comfortable to sleep on, but Etoiles didn‘t want to move and wake Phil up on accident either. He deserved at least some kind of rest because he‘s sure the Federation didn‘t even give him that. Sick assholes.

The screen from his communicator lights up and his attention wanders to the whispered message.

FitMC whispers to you: Wdym he wanted to go back?

He blinks.

He thinks back to earlier that evening, sun setting and his return to the spawn area. Etoiles knew that Phil had a tendency to stay up late, so visiting him in a couple of hours was not a problem.

He briefly wonders what would‘ve happened if he hadn‘t seen Phils heavy steps in the distance, directing his pathway to one of the buildings constructed by the Federation.

Etoiles sighs and goes to message Fit back, mentioning his encounter with Phil insisting on walking back there and waiting until they take him back in.

He doesn‘t mention the way Phil was not even listening to reason at that moment, or the way he kept mumbling about how imperfect he is and insisted on being fixed, or the way Phils eyes didn‘t have this light in them anymore and how out of it he was, or still is.

He‘s seen Phil laugh and chuckle in amusement, yell and scream and shout in anger, but seeing a fellow fighter he looked up to, his own friend so.. broken down like this. Gods, it stung.

Phil moves a little in his sleep and pulls Etoiles out of his thoughts. He sighs and after a few seconds pass by, Etoiles’ hand goes back to brushing through the feathers.

He wasn‘t sure if he was doing it to distract himself from his anger or if he was attempting to subconsciously soothe the asleep avian, but he knew one thing for sure:

He wasn’t going to let them take Phil back again.

Girlbosses in caves with terrible taste in men

Their taste in men was cheater. They were girlbossing so hard for 3 seasons straight that they didn't have time for a decent love interest.

Claudia: Bernd Doppler and Tronte Nielsen

Charlotte: Peter Doppler and Ulrich Nielsen

For some reason, they only dated the worst possible partners from each family. I know we didn't see Bernd Doppler cheating on screen, but I just know that he was a cheater too and I don't need proof.

But there's actually proof. According to Stranger Martha's bunker walls, Greta Doppler died in 1972. Regina was born in 1971. They could have divorced or whatever, but I just don't think Greta would give that man a divorce.

Both Charlotte and Claudia had two questionable love interests, to say the least.

They are among my favorite characters in the series, and I hadn't noticed that coincidence until now. Dark has a lot of parallels between characters, I think most of them are carefully planned because of the great storytelling, and others are harder to tell if they were intentional or not.

after however many years into an apocalypse he’s lived through, joel just doesn’t feel anymore. sure, he “feels” stress and anger, but he honestly, can’t bring himself to care about anything anymore. his feelings just are, he doesn’t feel them. he doesn’t let them take over. he just lives on auto pilot and that’s how he survived for the first 20 years, simply because life without sarah isn’t a life worth feeling.

but then she shows up.

he’s doesn’t care. she could be a fucking statue for all he knows. but then tess dies, and frank & bill are dead, and suddenly he has nothing, not that he had anything before, but now its a black hole instead of a grey hole.

but she’s there. and much as he hates it, her presence whirlwinds to memories with sarah, bringing out emotions he hasn’t felt in a decade.

of course, she’s not sarah and she never will be, but she’s loud and funny and she talks nonstop, and she’s smart and sometimes he just can’t help but see the similarities.

up until now, he’d come to understand death and expect it and not be afraid of it. but now it’s his worst fucking nightmare. he will fight, beg and plead for her life,

all so that she can laugh like they did in kansas city everyday.

There are many story points and character relations i like about toh, but i think one of my most favorite has to be the friendship between Lilith (who is introduced to us as this absolute authority, orderly woman directly against Eda's chaos) and Hooty (a character who is introduced to us as this chaotic being, who becomes weirder and chaotic with every subsequent appearance), and it turning out to be a genuinely healthy and loving friendship between the two of them

I KNOW #Tobias showing up like that one surprise 'heyyy' girl meme gif bc he's the solution (<- getting rid of them Permanently): >:)#No matter where I look this guy manages to weasel his way in. I cannot escape #Now I'm thinking about how Wammy's orphans have such different perspectives on what they should do and what justice means...#to some of them (ex Near) it means catching sb legally by mostly lawful means and yeeting them into prison #to others (ex Mello) it means catching sb by any means necessary but still trying his best to avoid murder #and then to others (ex Tobias) murdering these people who he knows will escape sooner or later anyway is justice in itself #You try to put Wammy orphans down at a table to come to a collective agreement on how they should operate and they simply Cannot #Watari mildly fucked up when he made them ALL headstrong and under the belief that they're always the right one in the room #I bet any of them comes up w a cohesive plan and there's sb in the room IMMEDIATELY pointing out why that plan isn't it 😭#Obviously they'd still synch with each other if need be (ex Mello & Near) but forbid they work TOGETHER together as more than ~2 people #Tobias and Near would be such a funny duo esp. bc Near sees people resorting to murder as wrong and disgusting no matter if it's valid #meanwhile Tobias sees lawful justice as nothing but a farce because 99% of the time it does nothing besides giving a momentary #ego boost to the person who caught the criminal. and then beyond that it's no longer their business if the criminal escapes or not #but it IS very much everyone else's business; and why many live in terror daily wondering if their nightmare will return tomorrow #to be fair Tobias couldn't care less about their feelings 99% of the time either but Watari DID teach him to enact justice. and to him #getting rid of the root of the problem rather than locking it up IS justice. He perceives the problems from much closer than #other Wammy orphans ever have. He's RIGHT THERE in the middle of it whereas they're in some safe place far away from the victims #plus their backgrounds are far too different from his own to reach a consensus too... you can't make him believe prison = justice #just as you can't make them believe murder = justice. But I do think people would prefer Tobias' approach far more than idk Near's #again it's not like Tobias cares about how he's perceived by the people he saves! (or if he's even perceived at all) but I can imagine #going to sleep knowing the person/people/group/etc having it out for you no longer exists is a much more heartening sentiment than #hearing they've been sent to prison; from where they can send sb else after you or from where they can escape in due time

So I just discovered Quaquaval’s Dream World artwork and it is absolutely fabulous! More fabulous than it normally looks, and it’s extremely fabulous anyway. This artwork almost makes me wish I chose Quaxly but I prefer Meowscarada so I guess I’ll just have to leave the fabulous gay duck in Nemona’s care. Also that means I only have to see Skeledirge in one battle because if I chose Quaquaval Nemona would’ve chosen the ugly croc. On the plus side, you know how much I love F-Zero? Well I may or may not have decided that Falcon’s starter would be the Quaxly line

#I just had to bring F-Zero into this didn’t I?#quaquaval #i swear any complement I can use towards Meowscarada I can also use towards Quaquaval and it would work considerably better on the gay duck #I’d say that’s sad because I prefer Meowscarada (best Pokémon alongside Ceruledge)#but I also love Quaquaval #if it weren’t for Skeledirge this otherwise-fabulous trio would be the best starter trio #but the ugly croc exists so it’s between Kalos Alola and Galar for me #things have changed since the last time I updated about my favourite starter trios (most notably Cinderace overthrowing Delphox)#honestly I think the Paldean trio doesn’t work that well as a trio #I’ve accidentally made Meowscarada work better as a pair with Ceruledge (trio if including Iron Valiant)#I hate Skeledirge it’s only there for the anti-furries and I wouldn’t have a problem w/that if it weren��t ugly af #Quaquaval just feels like it would work better on its own #or in a duo with another (Water-type) Pokémon #(I want to say Armarouge but I can’t see people choosing Scarlet and Quaquaval)#theming-wise the trio works but idk for some reason I just don’t think they do #unless I’m comparing them to the Kalos trio #but it doesn’t seem like that’s gonna be a likely situation with how much the Galar trio has grown on me recently #I love how Meowscarada (yes even my modest Meowscarada Spriggie) and Quaquaval are attention-whores #Skeledirge seems like it would become a smug attention-whore after discovering it’s the most popular of the trio #maybe that’s why Meowscarada and Quaquaval are attention-whores #maybe Meowscarada and Quaquaval would be better off as a duo #I have seen artwork of the two of them (I think they’re playing card games) without Skeledirge #and as much as I hate removing one member of a starter trio without also removing a second member to leave only one #it actually works
