Can ya'll fanfiction writers give me ascended astarion x male reader that isn't just another weird yaoi trope disaster.
I either find stuff unmarked genderwise and end up disappointed having to mentally replace words with masculine ones.
I would write some myself, but I have zero patience for writing fanfiction.
Just a bit exhausted of the "oh no I'm a slave now pls dont hurt me" rather than evil couple who flirts like they're always alone in the room. But they're not, and everyone has to deal with the fact they're extremely affectionate. All the time.
Can a gay man have some peace of mind with the queer vampire, please? I've been begging for this kind of stuff for years as underrepresented as I feel. So difficult to find this stuff. This video game was very freeing for me. To have a character straight up flirt with me when we're both men. Hahdhfkajfhdkfk
I don't even need smut. Gimme affection, I want to read about my tav being adored and tease him back lmfao. Silly vampire husbands being cute.

Edit: when I mean unmarked genderwise, i don't mean gender neutral. I mean when a fic is intended for a female reader and this is not mentioned in the tags or at the top of the fic. Only a few paragrahps in, suddenly female gendered words are mentioned. That's the disappointment :/ cuz a lot of fics read real nicely until you have to replace words consciously.

If Ladybug had any word to describe Goldeneye, it was... unusual. She seemed like the last person Chat Noir would even be friends with, much less trust enough to turn over his Miraculous too... and yet, Ladybug felt drawn to her. The worst part was this girl was so much like Adrien Agresté... and yet so incredibly different.
Maybe it was the fact that they were both girls that Ladybug felt a little less apprehensive about letting Gold touch her. Every flirtatious remark felt so much more like a joke, and every time Gold played with and braided her princess's hair (she'd gotten quite good at that over the past few days) Ladybug felt like she could relax. Gold, like Adrien, had a way of making her feel at peace.
"Your ears are really small," the cat laughed to herself, a gentle finger tracing the edge of her princess's ear. Ladybug shivered at her touch and the way Gold whispered it in her ear. "They're cute."
Ladybug wasn't really sure how to respond, so she just bit her lip. Being awkward like Marinette would wouldn't help things, but being dismissive like the usual Ladybug wasn't what she wanted either. Goldeneye had thrown a lot of things out of balance, she supposed. Given Ladybug a lot more issues to wade through that she didn't entirely understand.
The tips of Goldeneye's claws traced Ladybug's scalp in a way that seemed to fix everything, though. Ladybug would just melt at her touch and forget. Forget about Hawkmoth, forget about Chat Noir, even forget about Adrien. And sometimes, Goldeneye would plant a friendly kiss on the top of Ladybug's head, and she would feel content in this forgetfulness.
"Thank you," she whispered back to Goldeneye.
"Of course, my princess," her cat would respond, in the same wonderful way she always did.

Girlbosses in caves with terrible taste in men
Their taste in men was cheater. They were girlbossing so hard for 3 seasons straight that they didn't have time for a decent love interest.
Claudia: Bernd Doppler and Tronte Nielsen
Charlotte: Peter Doppler and Ulrich Nielsen
For some reason, they only dated the worst possible partners from each family. I know we didn't see Bernd Doppler cheating on screen, but I just know that he was a cheater too and I don't need proof.
But there's actually proof. According to Stranger Martha's bunker walls, Greta Doppler died in 1972. Regina was born in 1971. They could have divorced or whatever, but I just don't think Greta would give that man a divorce.
Both Charlotte and Claudia had two questionable love interests, to say the least.
They are among my favorite characters in the series, and I hadn't noticed that coincidence until now. Dark has a lot of parallels between characters, I think most of them are carefully planned because of the great storytelling, and others are harder to tell if they were intentional or not.

Sometimes on Roseville Beach
People ask me how to write a Roseville Beach adventure and the book has some good suggestions, but here the quick and dirty process any GM can use on the fly:
Pick a horror or thriller movie, preferably supernatural: giallo, folk, and cosmic all work.
Forget the end. Forget the characters. Forget the original setting. Keep that monster, though. Keep that monster. Also, keep those bossy heterosexuals, weaselly villains, and bad gays. You'll need them, too. The monsters, bossy/tricksy straights, and bad gays have three hit points just like everyone else.
You ditched the setting, so now you can just replace that setting with Roseville Beach.
Now gay that shit up.
Now make it even gayer.
Throw your table's gay Scooby team right at all that nonsense and see how much gayer they make it.

New idea based on the Green Acres theme song. I call it Rooftop Farms.
Man wants that cottagecore life
Woman wants to stay in the city
You know the jist
Instead of getting sexist as fuck, they compromise like adults
"Why don't you see if the city will give you a permit to build your own farm?"
There is only one available and it's for the roof of the apartment they live in
The catch is Literally Anything can go on that roof, no matter how heavy (sitcom logic)
Every episode is about some kind of haywire misadventure involving a new machine/animal
Husband and wife argue, then work together to fix it
Wife eventually gets used to the smell of cow shit on the roof. Oddly, it makes her think of her husband.
Husband enjoys his little economically sustainable farm land, and the view of the city his wife loves
Neighbors include a grumpy Squidward-esque guy who constantly gets roped into shenanigans
50% absurdity, 50% the healiest relationship in sitcoms, 0% sexism

So if you’ve seen my pride drawing, you’ll know Zoey is Sapphic in my rewrite (because I mean, look at her). But that meant I had to do something about her ex-husband Gabriel. I could always do the “she never really loved him” thing, but I decided to shake it up and go with a classic “make it gay genderswap.”
So here we have Zoey’s ex-wife, Gabrielle.
I haven’t done an outfit based on a canon skin in a while, so this was a fun challenge even if I still deviated pretty significantly. I brightened up a lot of the colors, and of course the glowing markings to match my elf headcanons. I also intentionally made her contrast Zoey, so she has a stronger jaw and thicker eyebrows, plus the obvious blonde vs brunette dynamic.
Random facts:
Makes and embroiders her own clothes. She may be the leader but she’s still hands on
Facial reference was Rosario Dawson, it doesn’t look like her at all because I’m very face blind
Gets along well with Malachi while he stays in the forest, but also only refers to him as “abomination” due to the sapling thing
Is absolutely, 100% over Zoey. Definitely doesn’t lay awake at night thinking about what might have been. Nope, no lingering romantic tension at all /s

I don't think the movie industry has realized that queerness is LITERALLY their salvation. Like, they could reuse every single tired trope in the book, and the SECOND they make it gay, it is FRESH. STUNNING. GROUNDBREAKING. 10/10 WILL WATCH.

Making the Speak Now TV (from the vault) tracks a gay love story:
Electric Touch: Speaker is about to meet Lover for the first time, they work in the same industry but have not met in person and have set up a hookup as they’re both queer. While Speaker is in the closet, she’s hoping that something good will come out of an encounter with Lover- hoping that it will break her queerness or confirm it. Lover on the other hand knows she’s a lesbian— but she’s been hurt by past relationships and is hoping this one will be something good, despite her doubts. Speaker sees Lover pull up and stand in her driveway before they finally meet. Needless to say, the “electric touch” brings them to life.
Foolish One: Speaker is in denial about her feelings after their encounter but is totally head over heels. While Speaker and Lover keep communicating, very little romantic occurs between them. Lover even starts seeing someone else, and Speaker keeps trying to convince herself that it isn’t serious (it’s not, but it feels like it). Eventually, Speaker convinces herself that Lover isn’t the one for her and accepts friendship as all she’s going to get— “walking out” of any sexual or romantic relationship they might have continued to have.
When Emma Falls In Love: Speaker and Lover have become friends since their one night stand and Speaker, while still struggling with their own sexuality, notices Lover falling in and out of love. Speaker is trying very hard to ignore that she is, in fact, in love with Lover. “When Emma falls in love I’m learning”- that Speaker loves her and wants her to fall in love with her.
I Can See You: Things have escalated and they are now working together. Speaker is finding it harder and harder to conceal her feelings, and Lover is trying to ignore her own feelings at the same time, but Speaker is doing a far better job of it. Lover is tired of holding back even though Speaker is in the closet, she she talks to her during a crowded work party. Both women leave the room as they chat, and Speaker finally brings her daydreaming to life. Not only do they hook up for the second time in their work place, both women finally start dating secretly to maintain Speaker’s reputation.
Castles Crumbling: The secret is out, and both women are suffering the consequences of their secret relationship. Speaker’s reputation in the industry crumbles apart and Lover is viewed as a pariah for ‘corrupting’ Speaker with her gayness and Lover lashes out against anyone who disrespects them. Both of them struggle and there is tension in the relationship because of the external backlash. They had promised each other they would go public with their relationship at some point, but having the relationship outed causes a lot of bitterness that takes a lot to get through, and while their social lives fall apart they still try to maintain the relationship but it takes a lot of work.
Timeless: but they love each other, and they do put the work in. Things have recovered and they’re living together happily, and they found their real allies. Speaker sees the old antique shop and looks at the photos and knows that no matter what trials and tribulations they would have faced in every time period, Speaker and Lover would belong together and be happy one way or another. The photo of the teens ready for a dance in the driveway reminds her of how Lover pulled up. Lover meets Speaker at the shop after Speaker calls, and the two look at all of the photos together and read the ‘star-crossed lovers’ book, which also reminds them of their difficult times during the relationship. They agree, that like the relationships and stories they found, that their love is timeless and that they are each other’s epic love.
