i‘m typically not always fond of stories having sbi as actual family unless it‘s specifically done, idk i‘m just kinda picky- BUT i have been fond of the silly idea of Phil & Techno being brothers and depending on it, you could add Tommy to the mix or have him as the adopted younger brother- and then add Chayanne & Tallulah as Phil‘s adopted children RAAAH

idk why but there‘s something about it that scratches the right spot in my brain

this does NOT help my brainrotting over qPhil being a dragon hybrid of enderian origin

since i haven‘t felt able to make a proper story out of this writing wise, here‘s my entire ramble regarding Phils origins within the code au :D

i will give a small warning that i‘ll be talking about ( child / experiment ) death, as well as general inhuman treatment and lab things such as experiments, etc. i won‘t go into details, but i will be mentioning them!

Phil grew up within the AE lab, his actual name being AE-DA01. He only has three lab siblings that grew up with him for the first years, being:

AE-BG02, AE-SV03 and AE-PA04.

the names are put together like this: location-species base-number

AE hence stands for Antarctic Station. Well, the A stands for that at least - the E is specifically used to refer to as 'Experiment' usually, however I‘ll go into this briefly again later.

DA —> Death Angel, not a direct species but leaning on a rare type of avian mimic

BG —> Blood God, also not a direct species but leaning on piglins ( specifically those who have a history of becoming brutes and champions )

SV —> Soul Vulture, a nether based mob

PA —> Parrot Avian, also a more common avian type mimic

Phil was considered to be the weakest out of the whole batch as his vitals were dangerously low for a while, while Techno ( AE-BG02 ) was considered the most healthy one, which was guessed to be due to his piglin genes.

before i further go into Phil himself, i want to take a little bit to talk about the AE - the Antarctic station is one of multiple stations and resides in a more cold and icy part of the world, quite far away from the actual Quesadilla Island. The station is connected to a program that is referred to as the HRI - standing for 'Hybrid Research Integration'.

This program was called into existence for originally other purposes, however then was used to also try and fix the problem they had with what we know as the code monsters. the batch that Phil is a part of was specifically for that reason, however over time of growing up within the lab, most experiments ended up dead or too corrupted by the codes. this is hence the 'experiments' for AE.

in Phils own batch, SV03 was the first one to die for yet unknown reasons, but it has been suggested it‘s because SV03‘s hybrid base is that of a mob that‘s supposed to live in the nether only. the original researcher responsible for the batch left after SV03‘s death, which caused a new worker to take over and promptly start the transportation plans to another lab location. at the time of the planning Phil was roughly 6 years old leaning.

eventually PA04 died not too long after that in the midst of the transportation plans due to a lack of their basic needs not being met as well as the lack of social interaction.

Phil and Techno stayed at the new location for until they were around the age of 12 years old, which is when Phil was transported to the lab on the quesadilla island for until he was 18. What happened to Techno meanwhile is supposedly unknown.

On the island Phil was trained and tasked, often experimented on to try and make him more stable. During this time he was also socialised with the islanders that were there at the time.

Eventually though the code broke down the lab, leading to the broken buildings being left behind and everyone evacuating - leading to the eventual arrival of the 'first' islanders who we all know as the english & spanish speaking islanders.

this is where the main story begins :D

ft mainly phil, hinted techno and cellbit at the end

A series of strained coughs escape Phil as his hands scratch at the earth beneath him, the small claws digging into it as far as he can. He tries not to scratch at his neck as he struggles to breath, fearing he might further injure himself if he attempts to.

His wings are cramping in pain as they attempt to stretch out yet curl together at the same time. Eyes slipping shut for a few moments every so often as his forehead rests on the ground, back aching up against the pained wings.

For a very brief moment in the back of his mind he can swear he hears a soothing whisper, guiding him through this just like they have always done.

"C‘mon Phil. You aren‘t gonna lose to that weakling again, are ya?"

Phil wishes he could respond to that playful tease that is yet filled with pained concern at watching his friend suffer with nothing to be done. Nothing to help against the pull into the subconscious, against the burning feeling that floods his entire body as if everything was disintegrating and then rebuilding itself into something new.

But even as he tries to respond, not wanting his best friend, his flock to worry, the only thing that comes out of him is another choked out sob of tears that have been building up in pain.

It feels like he‘s slipping from the world, but it‘s nothing like the times he‘s almost slipped into Her embrace.

"You‘re so much stronger than him. I know that, I know you."

Phil shakes his head, the pain fading into that scary numb feeling and he knows he‘s losing against Him. He‘s not ready to let go just yet but it appears it‘s not his decision to act on no matter how much he fights against it.

"You should ask Fit to help you through this. Even if I‘m not there with you right now, Fit can be."

Fit wouldn‘t be able to handle Him.

Hell, Phil can barely even handle Him, even Techno can barely stand up to Him and that is a thought- no, fact he hasn‘t been able to face for all the many years he‘s trusted Techno with this.

He‘s not strong enough for this, he‘s failed again and what if he doesn‘t return this time? What if He fully takes over today?

What will He do to Chayanne and Tallulah? What about Missa? What about the other Eggs, all the other Islanders- They are all part of his family in one way or another, he can‘t bare the thought of them suffering at His hands. Or his own hands.

"I think you have company."

And just as he hears those fading words, a hand settles on his back, at his wings and suddenly everything relaxes. The tight and choking feeling on his throat and lungs becomes loose, fresh air flowing in.

"It‘s okay, it‘s okay. I got you, you‘ve got this," Cellbit‘s concerned voice sounds through just as Phil tries to sit up, promptly causing his vision to fade to black and have his body almost crash back into the torn up earth again if it wasn‘t for Cellbit immediately catching him.

It takes a couple of minutes for Phil to properly be able to start making sense of the world again, simply sitting there with Cellbit making sure he wasn’t going to black out again.

Well, on one hand Phil managed to fight back against Crimson long enough for him to back off.

On the other hand.. he has no clue how Cellbit managed to find him.

based on my thoughts for Phils quirk, here‘s a concept in my mind for it :D

basically Phils quirk has a passive ability that lets him see what he calls 'Shards' - they are transparent, ever changing silhouettes / figures that surround people at a constant. you could compare them to ghosts or similar ig lmao

but those shards are basically the 'core' of a person and reflect their inner and true wishes, desires, etc

the reason for why Phil can see them plays into the fact that his actual quirk only activated upon a situation that would‘ve ended up in him dying ( or rather did end up with him dying originally ) - his own shard is basically stuck in limbo after the quirk activation

so.. is Phil able to see the shards of the past OFA users around Izuku? short answer, yes!

longer answer: yes but not entirely

every person only has one shard, but there are exceptions to that. take Tokoyami as an example with dark shadow - Tokoyami himself has one shard, but there‘s a 'modified' second presence because of dark shadow.

now when it comes to Izuku.. it gets more complicated and odd for Phil.

generally speaking Izuku has one constant shard around him - his own. upon quirk activation however, the shard brightens and depending on which & how many quirks Izuku uses, more shards appear and become even brighter. the transparency starts to disappear the more quirks are used.

yes this also means that Phil cannot even look at Izuku if he uses multiple quirks at the same time and gets straight up blinded by the shards instead

this has got me thinking about.. to what degree would Phil be able to interact with the shards? could he talk and interact with them? since they aren‘t physical beings he wouldn‘t be able to physically interact with them, but it‘d be interesting if the shards of OFA especially would be able to recognise that Phil can see and maybe even talk with them-

but least to say, Phil probably dislikes being around Izuku ( more so when training with quirks ) not because he actually hates him but because he would like to very much see thank you WHEEZE

having some interesting thoughts about the qsmp x mha crossover au again

so after some thinking, Phils quirk actually only activated once he, well, died pretty much. i won’t go into detail on that yet, but hence why his quirk is called 'Deaths Grace'

now that that‘s out of the way -

what would technically happen if Aizawa used his quirk, Erasure, on Phil? I‘ve been so brainrotting over it and all I can think about is angst and the attempt of Phil to lighten the situation while he is struggling to even breath before passing out within seconds

So either it would cause for Phil to slowly go back to said (near?) dead point or Aizawa‘s Quirk just wouldn‘t properly work on him.

MMM THOUGHTS
