In order to not write my final paper, imma list the differences between Sukuna&Yuuji twin AUs from the western (ao3) and eastern (pixiv) fandom.

Note: Nothing about this is absolute and exceptions exist. I just don't wanna waste space by always using "mostly" or "almost always". And remember, this is my own impression after reading through a hella lot of SukuIta twin stuff and going through a hella lot of SukuIta content on pixiv.

Say GO!

Ao3 has Sukuna be the older one, pixiv has Yuuji be older

Ao3 has Sukuna be more of an asshole and possessive in an aggressive way, on pixiv he's a quiet tsundere and possessive in a clingy way

Yuuji is a ray of sunshine, but on Ao3 its him being a sweet cinnamon roll, on pixiv its him being a caring and supporting brother

On Ao3, the AUs are just that - AUs. On pixiv, the twin AUs are connected to the canon by making them reincarnations of Yuuji and Sukuna, and making a big point out of which of them remembers their past life and which doesn't

On pixiv, Gojo is usually around to hit on Yuuji and for Sukuna to hate the guts out of him for it

After a lot of thinking, I came to the conclusion that Sukuna is the younger one on pixiv because people love to write with that tsundere streak, since he doesn't like Yuuji in canon but they also want brotherly love. So he loves Yuuji, but doesn't show it. And Yuuji is the open-hearted loveball who has lots of emotional intelligence, so to make this brotherhood work, he needs to be the one to take action, and that makes him more fit for the role of oldest.

On Ao3, Sukuna is the older one because his possessiveness and evil behaviour get more focus, so having Yuuji be the sweet little brother makes more sense.

The whole "they reincarnated as twins" thing is something I can't remember ever having read on Ao3, but its the norm on pixiv. I assume its a good way to make a plot happen that has both angst and sweetness.

Honestly, the Gojo thing also happens on Ao3, I just see it more often on pixiv.

To finish my thoughts, I wanna tell yall about one twin AU comic I read on pixiv that lives rent-free in my head:

Sukuna seeing a girl being cornered by guy

Sukuna leaving

Yuuji showing up to punch the guy

Next day, the girl going up to Yuuji to give him a present for his help

Yuuji being like "Huh? What are you talking about?"

Yuuji understanding that Sukuna was the one to help the girl while pretending to be Yuuji by pushing his hair down

so a few select people know that i've been working on these bad boys for a few weeks now. this collection started because @mortimerlatrice had the audacity to try and tell me that fem!kinn wouldn't wear skirts and dresses and i pretty much broke my tablet pen in the rush to prove her wrong. also i felt like redesigning my fem!kinn and fem!porsche ideas. beneath the cut are my thoughts on these outfits plus the fashion collections they're inspired by/referencing.

fem!kinn businesswear looks

fem!kinn i feel like is the type of person who weaponises her gender expression. every part of how she presents herself is a carefully cultivated power play. she smokes cigars and drinks scotch and can talk at length about stocks and cryptocurrency, but she wears high heels even though she had to teach herself how to run in them, has long hair even though styling it is a nightmare, and is never seen without make-up, because every part of her must straddle a line of being masculine enough to be respected without being dismissed as butch, or a transgressor of gender norms. so: power suits and heels.

most of these are just riffs on the show's suits, so no real reference images, though hilarious @elnotwoods and i managed to parallel brain the exact same corset + suit look bc we are bloggers of TASTE.

fem!kinn occasionwear looks

the product launch -- upon rewatching clips from this episode i realised that the product launch apparently has a roaring 20s theme? which be wildin'. i spent so long looking at pictures of 20s style dresses until i found eliza jane howell who is a tiny british designer who has an entire collection of 20s inspired gowns. the inspo for kinn's dress was the miranda dress from her eveningwear collection.

the diamond auction -- i've drawn fem!kinn in this dress before, and i stand by it. this is a dress from ralph and russo's fall 2015 couture collection, specifically look 12. i first saw this dress months ago when i was looking for clothes for a project i was working on and it's lived in my brain rent free since.

date night i and date night ii -- both of these dresses i saw on pinterest somewhere and forget to save the link bc when i do art i usually have abt 50 billion tabs open. (i make firefox weep each time i open a new one.)

looks that almost made it in: michael cors rtw fall 2022 look 24; and schiaparelli couture spring 2022 look 24.

fem!kinn misc looks

okay so the theme for this one was actually "iconic kinn looks" and you know what? the towel was iconic. there i said it.

the sleepwear look -- *cries in detail work* yes all that lace is hand-drawn YES MY WRIST ACHED SO BAD AFTER FINISHING IT, this one is just conjured out of my head, no inspo look

the suspenders -- real ones know which kinn look this one is based off. just google kinn in suspenders or something i guess because we were ROBBED that it wasn't in the show. ROBBED.

the towel -- since drawing it multiple ppl have told me that they think fem!kinn would just wear the towel on her hips, tits out, no shame, and they are all so valid.

family portrait -- when i was drawing this, i got sent a look by siv that i initially discounted because it was a skirt suit and fem!kinn all about those power suits. and then i was looking for thai designers and i saw the same look and i was like, "okay but she'd only wear this in a family portrait," and then i was like hhrrrrnngngn family portrait outfits for all of them, so now it's a category. this is a recoloured version of poem bangkok's fall 2022 rtw collection look 19.

fem!porsche "pre-kinn" looks

okay so my thoughts on fem!porsche are as someone for whom gender is almost an afterthought, whose main friends are all guys, who drinks bear and kicks ass and cuts her own hair whenever it gets too annoying, who buys male toilettries because they're cheaper, who's made a career out of being rich girl's experimental whirl into lesbianism, and who can get them off real easy but isn't so good at getting herself off. she's hooked up with her fair share of guys, and considers herself more of a male-leaning bisexual. like, girls are fun and all, but she tends to have a better time when she hooks up with guys. (kinn's gonna blow that out of the water, hahaha.)

the fighter outfit -- originally this was going to be just a sports bra + jeans, but then i saw a pic of a cropped hoodie and my brain just sort of blanked out and when i was done the art was finished. porsche's abs are very important to me. as are her arms. and her thighs. she's an itty bitty titty committee member tho and i stand by that.

the bartender outfit -- i've drawn this one before, but yes! all the buttons undone! cheapest black shirt and slacks! converse!!! YESS

the casual outfit -- bike shorts, big t, big shirt? yes. fem!porsche sits somewhere between jock and gonna-fix-your-appliances on a fashion basis and i am here for it.

fem-porsche "kinn era" looks

one of the big ideas i had going into this project was the idea that porsche feels divorced from her femininity in a way that she's not altogether satisfied with and that kinn helps her reconnect with it. because, like, let's be real: porsche has no major feminine influences in her life growing up, and she's literally always got bigger concerns. she defo plays up the idea that she's above it all, whilst also completely lost as to how to get to there. kinn is probably both an object of envy and attraction for her.

(also i have in my head that the sauna conversation goes something like: porsche: do you have a boyfriend, then? kinn: i've never once found a man that truly wants a powerful woman. porsche: huh, that's weird. i've had no trouble finding guys who want me to hold the up against a wall.)

anyway it's important to me that kinn makes porsche feel dainty and feminine.

the bodyguard look -- hrrrrngngng waist. that is all.

clubbing with tankhun -- you know how i said somewhere between jock and owns a monkey wrench? meet porsche out clubbing. love it for her.

first public date with kinn -- so the background i had imagined for this outfit was that porsche and kinn are going public, and kinn sends her a box with a dress to wear plus heels, only porsche can literally not stand for more than two seconds in the heels and hates them, so she wears her converse instead. this is almost a direct copy of look 12 from monse's spring 2021 rtw collection.

black tie date with kinn -- obvs this is a dress that kinn picked out for her, so i thought long and hard about what kinn would choose. in the end, i figured kinn would probably want her to look regal. i looked at so many dresses for this one, esp bc there was a secret requirement where i wanted the skirt to be loose enough that kinn could eat her out in it. look, i just think it would be gender if kinn dressed porsche up in this dress and porsche felt all pretty and feminine and then kinn ate her out in the bathroom at the event or something. you know. girl things. this dress is look 6 from valdrin sahiti's spring 2022 bridal collection and i had to download a pdf to get a reference picture, so appreciate my work. also shoutout literally the only time porsche is wearing heels. kinn had to give her like three hours of walking lessons.

fem!porsche minor family head looks

michael kors collection saved my bacon here. i really struggled to figure out what fem!porsche's overall aesthetic would be for her minor family head position. i wanted something distinct from kinn, but didn't think she'd go full androgyny. in the end i settled on a well-tailored suits with a military flare in their cut.

first business look -- this one is based on look 19 from michael kors collection's fall 2022 rtw collection. dem arms.

second business look -- same song, different verse. same collection, but look 7. the thigh-high boots were added by me, though. i wasn't drawing lesbian kinnporsche without putting one of them in thigh-high boots.

visiting mum -- a couple of things. this one is based on this photo i found on pinterest, because i just really liked the neckline. details you might miss: this is arguably porsche's most femme outfit here, but she doesn't have the perfectly styled hair that she has when she's on mafia business, and she's still wearing her ratty beat-up converse. she's feminine, but trying to be authentic. it's a specific kind of messaging she's trying to get across to her mum. she probably agonised for hours over what to wear. kinn definitely really likes her in it.

family portrait -- again, plucked from my own imagination. the original inspiration for this look was look 9 from altuzarra pre-fall 2020 but if you click that link you'll probably be able to tell i went completely off-script. the more i drew it, basically, the more the altuzarra look looked too japanese, which is understandable, because that collection's whole thing was about blending modern and traditional japanese fashion. in the end, i pivoted, and brought it more in line with kinn's look, because i really did want them to have similar vibes. (couples outfits? couples outfits!!)

near misses -- these ones almost ended up involved: altuzarra pre-fall 2020 look 6 for the family portrait; michael kors fall 2020 look 60 also for the family portrait; michael kors fall 2020 look 30 for minor family mafia business; look 17 from alexander mcqueen's 2011 pre-fall collection also for mafia business; this look from pinterest for mafia business that got discounted bc i was going in a different direction; and this dress from rouba.g's spring 2019 rtw collection for the black tie dress which literally only avoided inclusion here because i couldn't make the sheer fabric look right.

anyway the takeaway here is don't get into an argument with me because i will bring receipts. mort learned their lesson, don't worry.

Absolutely! This man has been living rent free in my head since the moment I saw him,,, (ღ˘ω˘ღ) Gotta start with the fave! Hope you enjoy these!

✧General Yandere Headcanons✧ — Gym Leader Larry

Warning(s): Slight Spoilers for Scarlet/Violet!, Obsessive Behavior, Monopolizing, Slight Hints of Possessive Behavior

So... As a yandere, it would take a while until Larry gained an obsession towards you. It's not like he's rejecting the possibility of a romantic relationship, it's just that he's busy... Plus, it takes time for him to gain romantic feelings and again, he's a man who enjoys the simple life. You'd have to be a constant in his life in order for his attention to be grabbed. Hanging around him when he's on break with either a visit to Treasure Eatery or a battle here and there (though he prefers to eat with you) is the best way to do so.

When his yandere traits arise, he'll immediately know and be highly aware of them unlike most yanderes. Larry absolutely knows himself and his life enough to notice anything out of place. The growing yandere traits will be found out instantly. It's a bit conflicting to deal with, because, this isn't the norm. This isn't how a person should feel towards someone they'd normally love. Is this love? Maybe it was, but Larry can tell it isn't... Traditional.

He can't ignore it, honestly. No matter how much he tries to go through his daily routine, the thought of you sticks with him like super glue. Thankfully, it doesn't get to the point where it messes with his work, but he's catch himself lacking here and there. He can't even be mad at you. That wouldn't be fair since, it's his feelings but some part of him knows that you visiting him has caused this reaction in the first place.

So what does Larry do? Well, unlike most yanderes, he can't just devote time into stalking you to gather information or find time to spend with you. No, he just has to incorporate you into his daily life/schedule somehow. You already spend time with him during his breaks, so that's good. Sooner or later, it won't just be eating together that will be the only time you two interact. This man will basically monopolize your time in due course. It's not something immediate, rather, slowly but surely so you won't take notice. He prefers it that way, being able to take the reigns and put things in place to have things running smoothly.

Larry isn't very outward with his yandere behavior, making him one of the most difficult yanderes to detect. Which means that there are high chances that you'll find out too late about his obsession towards you unless you're very perceptive. Speaking of which, he also doesn't get jealous. I mean, you already go out of your way to see him during breaks so it gives him some semblance that you might have a reason in doing so. He won't jump to conclusions, but with how he's working things around, Larry isn't afraid of others showing interest in you. At some point, you won't even be able to have time for them.

Oh, but you know who does get jealous? His Pokemon. Even if Larry hasn't spoken too much about his true feelings for you to them, they can tell he's grown an attachment. Komala and Altaria are quite clingy around you, always sticking around your person in some way. There was even a time where you had difficulty prying off the comatose state pokemon from your arm when Larry had to go back to work. She made disgruntled faces as she nuzzled her face into your arm.

Thankfully, he didn't need to bring her since this work wasn't related to the Gym, so he let her cling to you. Altaria also just decided to hover close to you, making herself look bigger if anyone attempted to flirt with you. Also, I like to think that Oinkologne rubs against your to make sure you're scented, so other pokemon and people will know not to linger around you too long.

Oh, but Staraptor and Braviary are the worst when it comes to being protective of you. The former is a little more rational and keeps the latter from doing anything too rash unless needed. Altaria doesn't get aggressive like them, but she is also a close contender in terms of possessiveness. Anyways, the mentioned birds just... Hang around you and if any person tries to get too close to you, they'll use intimidation to get them running off. All of them are highly aware of how much you mean to Larry, so they just can't let anyone else besides him have you. Besides, they enjoy your company immensely and wouldn't want to lose that, especially since they can see how your mere presence brings him more to look forward to.

If you don't count the very protective pokemon Larry has, there's not much of a danger posed towards others. He isn't going to be a danger to himself or you either for obvious reasons. Larry only wants a simple life with you, but of course, these feelings aren't so simple. So he just adapts to it as best as he can, making sure he's the only constant in your life. You won't even notice how your life is shifting ever so slightly to fit with his own. So, in short terms, there's really no need for kidnapping. It's too much of a hassle anyways and... He really doesn't want it to get to that point, no matter how much some urges scream at him. Everything will be alright. Just leave everything to him.

Another day, another time of my bullshitery of the octatrio. Because the octatrio lives in my head rent free (they are blackmailing me for it)

ANYWAYS! What I wanted to say is...

Imagine how cool would it be for we to have an event in the Coral Sea and actually see stuff like different merfolk species having different cultures and societal norms?

Morays mate for life, and can mate between 2 males and 1 female, so it could happen that Mer-eels have a common occurrence of polyamory and a low divorce rate compared to some other species of merfolk.

There is also something about mershark. Imagine how other merfolk react to them? Maybe different from what happened to Azul, where he was bullied, mershark are isolated from being "intimidating" (this is lore of a test oc of mine)

This is mostly a great excuse for us to get cards of Jade and Floyd in their mer-eel form, and if we are lucky, maybe we could get some other characters getting transformation potions and they would end up looking like merfolk of the nicknames Floyd gives them?

I mean, CMON VIL WOULD BE GORGEOUS WITH A BETTA FISH TAIL

Or even, imagine we get the contrast of a a happy Octo-mer Lilia (flapjack octopus) compared to Azul, who doesn't like his merform?

If I didn't have so many projects already like requests, my Hc arts and posts, etc etc, I would actually make fake cards for this... Maybe I'll do them in my free time, who knows. I'll give y'all updates.

These two characters have been living in my head rent free lately and I thought to myself, Spider and Madi would make an epic duo fighting alongside each other and even being friends.

A) Both are orphans of war

B) They both share parent trauma (Spider’s parents died attempting to protect what they thought was humanity’s only way to survive, and Madi’s parents died attempting to keep her safe against the Fleimkepas and other warriors in the last minutes of Praimfaya before the Earth was scorched in fire)

C) Both have grown up in a forest (Spider in Omatikaya territory, and Madi in Shallow Valley)

D) They’re both children turned teens that carry a lot of baggage for such a young age and are very aware of it

E) They both wish to be normal

D) They’re both loyal, stubborn, independent, selfless and loving

F) They’re not afraid to fight back

G) Their genetics makes them different from everyone else (Spider is a human amongst Na’vi, Madi is a natural born Natblida amongst red blooded Grounders)

H) Speak another native language besides English (Spider Na’vi Omatikaya dialect, Madi Trigedasleng)

I) Both are allies to clans related to trees (Spider = Omatikaya living in the forest, Madi = Trikru also living in the forest)

J) Their allies have human enemies (Omatikaya = RDA humans, Trikru = the Mountain Men)

K) They’re both adopted by others in a way without calling them “mom” or “dad” (Spider = Norm and Max, Madi = Clarke)

L) Both have curly hair!

M) They’ve been taken at least once by evil forces (Spider taken by RDA and Recoms, Madi taken over by Sheidheda and The Primes of Sanctum)

N) Both know how to use weapons to defend and attack (Spider = bow and knife, Madi = swords, knives, guns, and traps)

O) Both are surrounded by future tech (Spider = RDA, Madi = Eligius)

P) Both are involved in some type of neural connection (Spider surrounded by Eywa and living creatures using queues, Madi with The Flame mind chip embedded in her skull)

Q) Both we’re tortured via invasive mind surfing devices (Spider by the RDA, Madi by The Disciples)

R) Both like to joke around, have fun, and try not to think about the craziness of the world around them other than the happy memories they can make

S) They look out for kids near their age (Spider with the Sully siblings, and Madi with Luca and the Sanctumite children)

T) They’re both children born into wars they didn’t ask to be a part of, but stay strong for those they care about and make the best of their situations

U) Both wear some type of paint on their bodies (Spider with blue paint, Madi with her own blood)

Celebrating International Women's Day this year, once again I'm giving a shout-out to some of the amazing ladies, both real and fictional, that I really admire, both new on the scene and since my formative years. They all live rent free in my head and I think they're awesome!

COURTNEY LaPLANTE, the incredible frontwoman from up-and-coming new metalcore band Spiritbox, who are ALL pretty amazing, but she is in a whole different league. The way she can switch from beautifully husky, gently angelic clean vocals to bloody terrifying feral demon dirty vocals AND BACK at the drop of a hat is truly astounding ...

VIOLA DAVIS, one of my favourite actresses working in Hollywood today, an undeniable queen and now a bonafide BADASS too thanks to her recent starring role as Naniska, the General of the Agojie, the legendary Dahomie Amazons, in The Woman King. These days she's PROBABLY best known as THE BADDEST BITCH in all of the DCEU, ARGUS director Amanda Waller, but these are just two of a whole CAREER of incredible performances for which she's rightly become a true A-lister ...

ELLEN RIPLEY, as played by the equally awesome Sigourney Weaver in the Alien movies. Quite simply THE GREATEST cinematic female lead protagonist OF ALL TIME, Ripley is about as definitive as strong female lead protgnonists get, the scourge of terrifying hostile aliens throughout the galaxy ...

POWER, from the acclaimed new anime series Chainsaw Man. I know, I know, she could SO EASILY have just been another classic teenage boy's wet dream anime girl, but half-demon fiend Power, like many of the show's female characters, is definitely a significant step away from the cliched norms, a total, undeniable force of (super)nature, unapologetic deluded self-promoter and thoroughly adorable chaos gremlin, who's quickly becoming one of my very favourite anime characters.

RINKO KIKUCHI, probably my VERY FAVOURITE Japanese actress EVER, thanks in no small part to her DEFINITIVE turn as Jaeger pilot Mako Mori in Guillermo del Toro's Pacific Rim, although I first discovered her as gloriously idiosyncratic demolitions expert Bang Bang in Rian Johnson's criminally overlooked The Brothers Bloom. Also rightly known for her acclaimed turn in Babel, we most recently saw her in typically fine form in Michael Mann's agreeably edgy new true crime series Tokyo Vice ...

KRISTEN STEWART. Yeah, I know, some folk are STILL likely to be rolling their eyes at this choice, but ever since Panic Room I've ALWAYS thought she was something special, EVEN when she was doing Twilight. Okay, so it's taken her A LONG TIME to shake the godawful spectre of Bella Swan, but she's DEFINITELY pulled it off by now, playing some truly AMAZING characters in a bunch of really great movies, most notably Underwater (see above), the criminally maligned and unjustly ignored Charlie's Angels reboot and her incredible recent turn as the late Diana, Princes of Wales, in Spencer.

DELENN, as played by Mira Furlan (Lost), the ambassador of the alien race, the Minbari, in one of my very favourite TV shows of all time, Babylon 5. From humble (albeit also EXTREMELY mysterious) beginnings, Delenn went on to (rightly) become THE main female lead in the show, carrying the weight of one hell of a sprawling, epic sci-fi saga plot on her more-than-able shoulders.

KATY O'BRIAN. Basicallythe core inspiration (at least in a roundabout way) for the lead character in my ongoing online fantasy novel series Never Split the Party, Kesla Shoon, Katy is 100% what I love in a genuine physically powerful woman - tough as nails, sexy as hell and, paradoxically, an absolute sweetheart. I first stumbled across her as George, the very best character in Syfy's guilty pleasure TV series Z Nation, but she's finally REALLY getting the attention she's long deserved, already earning fast fan-favourite status as Jentorra in Ant Man & the Wasp: Quantumania.

ZOE SALDANA. Ever since she started to come up in the first Pirates of the Caribbean movie, she's been steadily growing herself one hell of a reputation playing a succession of strong, frequently badass women in cinema, most notably in The Losers, James Cameron's Avatar movies and OF COURSE as Gamora in Guardians of the Galaxy.

SOFIA BOUTELLA. Ever since I first saw her busting some truly incredible moves in those glorious "Keep Up" Nike ads from the mid 00s, I have always been SUCH a big fan of this incredible dancer-turned-actress. She first REALLY captured our attention in the first Kingsman movie, but she's shone ever brighter since in the likes of Star Trek Beyond, Atomic Blonde, Climax and Hotel Artemis. Personally I CANNOT WAIT to see what she does with THE LEAD ROLE in Zack Snyder's incoming new sci-fi epic Rebel Moon ...

ALISON MOYET. One of my favourite female vocalists when I was growing up, I recently rediscovered her music when I started one of my music fan deep-dives through her entire back catalogue, and I'm absolutely LOVING IT. Starting out in the frustratingly short-lived early 80s electro pop group Yazoo with Erasure's Vince Clarke, she truly came to fame with her dynamite solo debut album Alf, as well as a killer cover of That Ole Devil Called love, but she's been going strong ever since thanks to one of the greatest voices around.

ANNIE LENNOX, formerly of The Tourists and The Eurythmics. Another one of the 80s all-time great frontwomen, Annie is a statuesque Scottish goddess who is rightly best known for her SECOND tour of duty with multi-talented musician Dave Stewart, but went on to have an equally astounding career as a solo singer-songwriter with a string of masterful records from the 90s right up to the present. Add to that her undeniable ICON status in the LGBTQIA+ community and you've got a bonafide androgynous goddess on your hands ...

GRACE JONES. Ever since she played Zula in Conan the Destroyer, Mayday in A View to a Kill and one seriously STRANGE vampire in Vamp, I've been a fan of this Jamaican model/actress/singer and undeniable fashion ICON. She continues to be a wonderfully weird and truly unique individual with her own unapologetically challenging style to this very day, and I love her for it.

DEBORAH CHOW. A fantastic up-and-coming Canadian filmmaker, who made a modest splash with her feature film The High Cost of Living before cutting her teeth on a series of impressive TV directing gigs on the likes of Copper, Reign and Mr Robot before truly coming into her own on The Mandalorian, which directly led to her helming THE ENTIRETY of 2022's rightly acclaimed Obi Wan Kenobi series. I'm really looking forward to whatever she does next.

CHARLIZE THERON. If there's one actress I've become a fan of mainly through her playing GENUINELY UNSTOPPABLE kickass women, it's Ms. Theron. The South African-born actress looks ABSOLUTELY AMAZING when she's stalking down a catwalk in her Dior ads, but as far as I'm concerned she looks HER VERY BEST when she's taking roomfuls of men apart with her bare hands in Atomic Blonde or a big fucking axe in The Old Guard, which will soon get a sequel I for one CANNOT WAIT FOR ...

MARISHA RAY, ASHLEY JOHNSON & LAURA BAILEY, the Ladies of Critical Role. Sure, there have been other women who've come and gone in a variety of excellent guest slot roles through the years the live-play TTRPG webcast series has been going (from Mary Elizabeth McGlynn, Ashly Burch, Sumalee Montano, Mica Burton and Aimee Carrero to, of course, the legendary Aabria Iyengar), but these three have always been the core, the heart and the undeniable BACKBONE of this amazing ongoing D&D adventure, and long may they all continue to reign ...

Can anyone help me find these?

Ok so there are three fics that live in my head rent free and I can’t find them anywhere (I didn’t have accounts back then, and I never finished them.) if anyone can help me find even one of these I’d be so grateful!

1. It was on quotv and it was a yanderes x reader fic where reader was from some island (or something) where yanderes were the norm and she had to his her emotions and try to blend in so that she didn’t attract a yandere for her whole life (her mom was taken by a yandere when she was a kid). She was saving up money so that she could leave that place behind but then suddenly she started gaining the attention of different yanderes and she had to navigate around them.

2. It was a Michael Afton x child reader, where reader had an @busive dad and he kicked her out (she was a little kid) and Michael found her almost frozen on a park bench and adopted her. Reader also had this power where if she died she respawned back to the last place she slept. (It was a really sweet fic and I miss it even though the last time I saw it the author hadn’t updated in months)

3. It was an Inuyasha x Kagome fic set in the modern world (high school au I think) where Inuyasha and Kagome used to be bffs but Kikiyo and Inuyasha started dating and he and Kagome fought and they stopped talking to each other. And eventually it becomes an “best friends, to enemies, to friends that flirt while fighting but refuse to acknowledge that they like each other, to lovers”. And Sessomaru is a ceo of a company and he takes care of Inuyasha after their dad died. I can’t remember what platform this was on as I haven’t read it since 2016-2017 but I loved this fic, but my laptop broke and I couldn’t remember the name of the fic.

If anyone can help me find any of these I’d be so thankful!!!

Yay! I have so many feelings about the latest chapter that it's probably the best place to begin, but I try to pack little world-building and character-development details into as many chapters as I can. For the newest chapter, Connection, there are some parts that I am really very fond of for a variety of reasons. There are lines in this chapter that have been living rent-free in my head since the inception of this fic.

It was also so, so important to me that this chapter was about catharsis over spicy content, because spice is nice but I've been building up to this for 36 chapters and nearly 12 years. There has to be more pay off than a quick scene and a fade to black - it has to matter. To me, to you, to Dagmar, to Shral - it has to mean more, because she's horribly alone in a strange new world and he is breaking every social norm and custom to try to bridge an impossible gap, and that's... that's the stuff I started writing for.

How strange, he thought. How strange, to reach instead of being reached for.

The slide of her warm palm, of slim fingers slipping between his own, inexplicably soothed some of his restlessness.

“I do not.” Shral spoke a moment later, and Dagmar marvelled at how always, always , his steady manner eased something twisted up with anxiety inside her.

The theme of reaching and being reached for, time and time again, is so central to Dagmar and Shral, along side themes of 'calm' and 'soft-still-quiet' and the simple phrasing of 'slowly, gently, relentlessly'.

Excitement and nerves are a wonderful part of any relationship, but they're not the things that last. Dagmar and Shral needed, in my mind, to have a bedrock-solid foundation beyond 'sexy alien' and 'pretty girl' and that means that they both need to find something in each other that they can't find elsewhere. Love is wild. Love is electricity along your nerves and fire in your blood. It's butterflies in your tummy and sleepless nights - but you know what else it is? It's the calm, quiet feeling of something very gently slotting into place inside your soul, something you might have gone a lifetime without realizing was askew. It settles you, makes the sharp edges of the world softer, kinder, and it brings peace in the same way that snow makes the world quiet.

So slowly, gently, relentlessly I will bring them together and I will make of them something that will not break.

Shral offered a razor-thin smile, and his eyes seemed to grow softer for a moment as he set down his katheka and almost indulgently entangled their fingers. Sitting across the table as they were, drinking the Andorian equivalent of coffee, the gesture felt even more like Human hand-holding – felt, for that matter, more intimate. It raised goose-bumps down the length of her arms, a frisson like a tiny electric current. “ Phiithza .” He pronounced the word slowly, carefully, letting her hear the precise sounds needed for each syllable. For emphasis, he squeezed her hand gently and reiterated, “This is phiithza .” Trust-symbol , Dagmar immediately translated, her mind already leaping to root words and variations in the different dialects she knew. An occupational hazard, she supposed wryly.

This is something I was planning to do for a while, but it never quite fit with the flow of the other chapters. The invitation to use phiithza was a huge part of how Dagmar really started to fit in properly with her Andorian friends and colleagues - both because it displayed that she was a trusted individual and because it was a public, affectionate acknowledgement of her as a friend, as a person. Every time she has greeted an Andorian using phiithza Dagmar has shown that she's not just a Human existing on Andoria but a Human actively learning and integrating with the local culture.

And then we get to this part:

“You cannot add to the security I provide for myself.” The Andorian stated after some consideration, slow and careful as his thumb brushed gently over the curve of the side of her hand and bumped over a knuckle. He seemed ponderous, considering, as his eyes flicked up to meet hers once more. “I am the stronger of us by far, and the better trained – but I find a calmness in you that I rarely find in myself. I concern myself with your affairs more than the customs of my people dictate that I should, and yet I often find I can pursue no other course. I have come to believe that there is a degree of… compatibility between us.”

This is Shral's Mr. Darcy speech - his strange, stilted proposal to reach across that gap that he can finally, after a very long year, see narrowing. There is almost a kind of rote ritual quality to his words, as if he's following some guideline or has thought them over many times before. Unlike Mr. Darcy, however, Shral manages to avoid insulting Dagmar and it goes over rather well, all things considered.

And Dagmar! Oh, bless her, she's doing her best but she's very Human and not always the swiftest to put the pieces together. She hears this speech and something in her brain finally ticks over, and all her brilliant, ridiculous mind can come up with is: "Oh."

Because Dagmar is as Human as I can make her, and that means sometimes she says something stupid, or she can't find the words, or the words she can find aren't quite the right ones. She is full of self-doubt and grief and loneliness, but she tries so hard. Sometimes she wins, and sometimes she loses, but she never stops trying.

After that, we have this line - one of the rent-free tenants in my brain for years now- and I don't have words to express how gratifying it was to put the words down properly.

Still, she needed to be sure. Dagmar couldn’t afford to be irresponsible about this - not with a coworker, not with Shral. “Are you sure this is something you want? With me? We’re very different. I would understand if-” “Yes.” He cut her off, fierce in a way that made her shift in her seat, torn between the conflicting impulses to flee from the intensity of his gaze and the desire to draw closer yet. The starburst of warmth and light at the back of her mind was a near-burning thing, now, incandescent and radiating. “I know the sound of your heartbeat, the scent of your pheromones, the precise steps in your gait; I could find you in a crowd of thousands. If not you, then no one.” Spirits, she thought faintly as she stared up at him, momentarily overwhelmed. He was making it very hard to be responsible about this.

Shral is largely a mystery to both Dagmar and my readers, and that is very deliberate because it leaves you -I hope- feeling just as stunned as Dagmar when he turns around and says something like this after so much build up. For all that he is reserved and difficult to read, he is still Andorian and what he feels, he feels with great intensity.

After these, of course, we get to Andorian kissing versus Human kissing. As much as I wanted emotional release to be central to this chapter I felt it equally important to find ways to emphasize how truly different Andorians and Humans are. As far as Shral was concerned, he started snogging around this point:

To his credit, the Andorian seemed to pick up on something of her thoughts and he eased her forward until their brows were touching, stopping at just the lightest of presses. She could feel his antennae trailing, feather-light, over her hair; the sensation sent tiny little shivers down her spine and she inadvertently pressed closer.

Dagmar registers something intimate about the gesture, but she has no idea what it actually means. It feels weird, mostly, and she's dimly aware that his antennae are doing something but she has no idea what that's about. It doesn't line up with her expectations or her instincts. In fact, Dagmar doesn't really start to clue in that something more important than proximity is involved until this line:

His brow had never left hers, pressing hard against her with the same fervency that a Human might have kissed her, and his antennae writhed.

Even then, she doesn't know and then when she finally demonstrates how Humans do things, it's strange. In fact, it's awkward, and it's not for lack of trying on anybody's part but Andorians just don't have the same kind of fine facial musculature that Humans have. Shral is literally not capable of reciprocating in way a Human might, and it's not until Dagmar consciously modifies her approach to account for that that things start to become easy between them.

There are so many differences to account for, though, and one make-out session doesn't magically make them go away. The chapter comes to a close with Shral is cautiously optimistic, while Dagmar has trouble seeing past the things she lacks but tries to, the way she always tries.

... Alright, I think I've rambled enough. I hope this is more or less what you were hoping for!
