So I just reblogged a post about the streetpass mii plaza and it reminded me of something I did in high school (when streetpass was still a thing).
So, story time! High school Kalimar liked to make miis. Just for the hell of it. And I decided to make the weebest, most obnoxiously fun mii I could think of at the time: A cat-girl named Kitty-chan. Thanks to the streetpass mii plaza having hats, I was even able to give her cat ears! So I immediately changed my mii in the plaza to Kitty-chan.
The next day before school, I'm about to show Kitty-chan to my friends as a kind of "haha look at this cleverly-designed mii I made" when one of them (We'll call her Jasper) opened up streetpass and discovered the apparent monstrosity first. Here's my artistic rendition of her face, because I have sadly lost the actual picture I managed to get of it:
Seeing her expression, I decided that she could NEVER know that I was the one behind Kitty-chan. So I zipped my lips and didn't say a word.
Months passed, and every time she saw kitty-chan in her plaza she had the most gloriously disgruntled, bordering-on-disgusted expression. In that time, my 3ds broke, and my then-boyfriend let me borrow his.
I got an evil idea.
Once I made sure it was okay if I changed the streetpass mii, I immediately made another kitty-chan. But that wasn't all. I thought, "why stop there?" Over the course of the rest of the school year I recruited friends with 3ds's to change their streetpass mii to Kitty-chan. Jasper's plaza was infested. It was incredible.
Luckily, everyone who had participated in the Kitty-chan-ification shared a lunch period with me and Jasper. So on the last day of school, we jointly signed her yearbook with "We. Are. Kitty-chan."
She yelled at us but we're still friends so I'd say it was all worth it!
(A screenshot from my own 3ds. I didn't think I'd be able to get away with changing Jasper's mii to kitty-chan; she'd immediately know it was me.)
