The college au is so full of angst I’m trying o come up with fluff set after a possible „talking it out“ scenario and just love the idea of Buggy at a party with a bunch of folks he doesn’t know feeling out of his area. He’s not technically a shy guy, he’s pretty outgoing if anything actually, that’s how he met Alvida and Mohji and „Mr. Three“ Galdino and so on and so forth, but Shanks is truly just the life of the party, Shanks talks to everyone and makes them feel welcome and everyone seems to absolutely love Shanks, as opposed to Buggy, who’s keenly aware his abrasive personality scares people off unless they are forced to spend more time with him (Or if they are like Alvida and can just dish out as much as he can)

So he nurses a little solo cup on his own and stews in his misery until Shanks suddenly drops next to him onto the couch and snuggles up to him all happy and affectionate. They banter a little until someone comes in to ask Shanks if he wants to come out and play Mario Party with everyone, before glancing at Buggy and inviting him along mostly to be polite, but Shanks is just in pure affection mode all „I’ll join you guys later. Have you met my boyfriend? This is Buggy, I told you about him.“ „Yeah you mentioned you have-„ „Buggy I just got done talking to uhhh-*snap snap* Pardon me I forgot your name- but she was telling me about that makeup channel she has and I told her „My boyfriend does absolutely AMAZING special effects makeup.“ and showed her the stuff you did for my Halloween costume and she asked me where I got the coat from and I just went „Get this, he also does sewing in his spare time and-„ Just completely in worshipping boyfriend mode until the other party , obviously not interested in listening to this, excuses herself.

By the end of the night Shanks is just resting his head in Buggys lap , clearly content with himself and his place in the world while Buggy is still processing that his boyfriend loves him so much he will just introduce Buggy as his boyfriend without a second thought, something he always doubted would happen, because … he’s Buggy and who wouldn’t at least slightly cringe at introducing him because… he’s Buggy. And also that Shanks thinks so much of him he is will absolutely talk peoples ears off when he gets the chance.

Idk what kind of psychic reading shit you're doing but it's working because I'm so serious when I tell you I'm in the middle of writing chapter 7 and (spoiler alert ig) there's gonna be a party in it ahaha

But don't worry, there's no actual angst yet, the real angst lays ahead, but don't worry, I always sprinkle fluff for balance.

Also I have plans for Alvida, but I will steal the idea of him meeting Mohji and Galdino through a party lol ':)

But ohhh goodness this is the cutest thing ever! I adore self-conscious Buggy and clingy Shanks :''D

Anyway have a little party-goer addition to this:

Buggy went to the party only because Shanks did. In fact it wasn't just because of him, he made sure at least Alvida came as well but she canceled last minute. So now the only person he knew was his social-butterfly boyfriend.

Something odd kept on happening though. People kept on recognizing him. The first time it happened Buggy thought they would giggle behind his back or insult him, but they recognized him as "Shanks's boyfriend" and started talking about how he'd talk about him all the time.

Buggy then thought that they were saying that out of politeness, but they kept bringing up things Shanks had said and the way it sounded was almost as if Shanks was praising him. No... showing off maybe? Which was confusing for him because what was there to be proud of anyway?? Regardless, anyone who recognized him from Shanks's stories or because of how much he mentioned him, seemed to have a good opinion of Buggy. Which was enough for now.

At some point Buggy has had enough being around people and decides he needs a break. Preferably a snack break. He found the way to the kitchen and rummaging through it he finds a half eaten box of ice cream. Only problem is he needs to sneak out back to eat it or else someone might want some and he can't be giving ot charity! That's the ice cream he rightfully stole, bo one could take it from him!

So he sneaks out and Shanks somehow finds him. Shanks is a bit worried Buggy isn't having fun but Buggy is worried Shanks will eat his dessert.

They sit next to each other, staring at the moon with half a box of ice cream. After two spoons of silence Buggy finally gives in.

Buggy: fiiiiiine, I give up

Shanks, panicking that something happened and he missed it and he's too tipsy to be adequate: wh- huh?

Buggy tilting the box to his boyfriend: You can have some. You were looking for a good time to ask right?

Shanks: Well no... *takes it anyway*

Shanks: I thought you were running away to be honest... hiding...

Buggy: Running - no. Hiding - yes, this ice cream is way too good to be shared. I'm taking an ice cream break, like a snack break but better because I found this treasure *gestures to the box as if he's in a commercial*

Shanks giggles a bit. He can see the moon's radiance off his boyfriend and he feels so lucky at that moment.

Shanks: You're sharing it with me though

Buggy: You don't count, at this point you're like an extension of my own body. You're inevitable... I bet that makes you happy, huh

Shanks absolutely smittened taking about spoon: Yeah, it does.

Shanks, jokingly: I hope you never get rid of me

Buggy: Well now you sound like a curse- hey, hey, hey, stop eating my ice cream

They finish the ice cream and dump it in a random garbage can hoping no one saw them. They also google it finding it was extremely expensive and pray to whoever's listening no one noticed them sneaking out and back in with a spoon gull of evidence.

this makes me wonder if i should leave a couple of chapters as epilogue just for fluff... I'll think about it...

Rise's B¡Future v.s RUINs' B¡Future

(( An Explanation on What's Different ))

Spoilers: There is a bunch of reading... also trigger warning / cw: mentions of death, gambling, and some other stuff ig... ye... Read on to enjoy the info dump.

-- Character Run Through --

Leo || In the RUIN au, Leo was founded the position of leader after Rapheal died. He wasn't given any warning or heads up, Mikey told him. For a while Leo didn't know what to do and from that they lost a lot of survivors. After a while he took the role and his personality had a huge shift. Sometimes he could be calm and collected and other times he could easily lash out.

Donnie || Donnie was more known as the calmest one out of any of his brothers. He rarely went out into the field after Cassandra's death and stayed to take care of Casey Jr and Koine for the most part. He also helped out a lot inside the med bay and the technology side. Sometimes helping others train to be on the field. Though worry would catch up to him whenever someone he cared for came back beat up.

Mikey || After the big change with Raph and Cassandra's death, Mikey was a bit more like a sour lemon. He would isolate himself a lot and stop speaking after a while as well, though he was still known as the greatest mystic warrior. After a while, Mikey had become a mystery to people, until he disappeared forever.

Rapheal || Raph was a sweet and calm person, only if you didn't get on his bad side. No one would rarely try to get Raph mad, out of some unknown fear. After both Splinter and Cassandra died he didn't really have much to strive for, this led to Raph often being reckless and difficult to communicate with. After a few missions going horribly wrong, Raph had to be tagged along with someone so the group would stay safe.

April || April was protective and observant of most of the resistance, almost always watching over anyone new. More like Leo, April didn't want to have the title of commander but in a time of need April had to take the title. Besides her unwanted title commander, April was known for having an inside look to everyone. She was also a mysterious player inside the Bad Future as well.

Cassandra || Cassandra was known for her passion to destroy anyone who was against someone she cared for. Whether that meant physically hurting someone or verbally. She was quick on her feet and sneaky as well. Though she had morals with her streak of behavior. Cassandra was closest with Donnie and Rapheal, often found hanging around the two turtles. She was also considered a good luck charm for supply missions.

Splinter || The man was placed inside to stick with training newcomers, help some wounded people, and take care of children. Why he was placed to do that job was the basics of he was injured badly to be yeeted off the playing field. He would also help calm anyone with strong emotions and give some good wisdom.

Draxum || The head of the Medic Field. That was Draxum was known for to anyone who saw him inside the resistance. Leo had the chance to take it but chose not to due to his desire to always be on the field. If you were looking for Draxum, good luck. He would always be in the places you wouldn't think of. Draxum didn't go into the battlefield that much so he would wander around to find hidden areas inside the base (( a trait that was passed onto Koine ))

Casey Jones Jr. || More known as Cassandra Jones Jr. or Cassidy, Casey is about a year younger than Koine. He is an energetic soul and loves to make anything a game. Casey isn't stuck up but he does find more fun in stuff that has games placed in it. He developed his own mystic/ninpo which grew in time (( he can do some paranormal stuff )) Casey was raised souly by Donnie after Cassandra died and never looked towards anyone else as a parental figure.

Usagi Yuichi || A skilled katana ninja, aka rabbit yokai. Usagi was the lovely boyfriend of Leonardo, until Usagi died. Usagi was all round known as a person who could throw hands if he wanted to. He knew what he wanted and if he truly wanted to get it, he would. Usagi would hang out with the kids the most, training them in any free time he had. Though he was known to have more of an empathetic heart, which wasn't the best for the apocalypse.

- What's Goin On --

+ Inside the apocalypse, the Kraang were practically more intelligent than needed and there weren't any technology resources around that were easy to find. Most of the tech was found by different groups or destroyed. Because of the lack of technology, the resistance group has to always be on the run and try to stay hidden the best they could. It would be about a weekly routine of running away from the Kraang.

+ Apart from living on the brink of panic, you had almost no free time. Which was understandable deeming that not only you had to run away and leave almost everything behind, but you had to gather new things if needed. There were constant chores, missions, or training needing to be done and all of it on a schedule. Training was easy to say the least, at least compared to missions they were. Missions were almost constantly going on, 24/7, all day.

+ Resources: The only thing common to find was canned foods, dried snacks, and seeds. Occasionally some REALLY GOOD food was found (( meats, veggies, etc. )) but it was mainly a canned food source. Like stated before: Tech was the hardest to stubble upon. This was the same as: note books, toys, pens, and furniture. Fabric could be found inside buildings or abandoned vehicles, and water was mostly found from a single river almost everyone knew about.

+ The Gambling Table: In the case of certain resources being hard to find, the resistance group would often gamble objects and sweetened foods with each other. The trades were fair enough to have the gambling streak become a whole tradition at one point.

-- Rules and Issues --

+ The resistance was small, it was around the population of a small village. In the RUINs' apocalypse there were many small groups; any large populated groups were quickly killed at the start. Sometimes there would be spies from other groups trying to join another group, to either throw the group off into danger or get information about good-resourced spots that their group didn't know about. After a while, this caused many people to have trust issues in anyone who wasn't originally a part of the group.

+ In any situation where the Kraang had found where the resistance was camping, everyone was on their own. If you didn't stick with the group, you were a goner in two seconds flat. Unless you were injured or a small kid, you were on your own until the situation was leveled down. No one was salty about it either, it was logical in their minds, mainly because they were trying to make it out alive and not dead, so....

-- The Ranking System--

+ The resistance had three main groups with a bunch of different rankings for each group. The three groups were: Medics, Fielders, and Spies. The medic group has three letter rankings: S, K, and I; along with a head leader. Fielder (( people who do constant missions and such )) have named rankings: Second + First Wings, Cover Feathers, Secondary Feathers, and Starter Feather along with two leaders. For the spy group, they have number rankings: 1-4 levels. Leveling up to another level is harder than it's thought out to be and it can take a long time.

-- The Skull and Stripes Duo --

+ Casey Jr. and Koine, like stated in another post, were best friends but had more of a sibling relationship than anything. In technical terms: Casey and Koi were biological Uncle and Nephew (( but no one in the resistance thought of Koine like that )) On that note Casey and Koine were set to be in a sibling relationship. Being one year apart from each other, they quickly became chaotic and both equally as strong. Do NOT fight both of them in a battle... they know how to work together when they need to.

Omd guys it's my twin?!? Anyways oh boy I h-h-HATE that guy... He's so 🤢🤢🤢UGGLY and B-BAD😡😡😡

Okay but in all seriousness bro I adore him more then y'all could know. Well uh ppl who follow this hmmm mysterious anon who I definitely don't know now know what the degree of Clive brain rot I have (can't mention it here but if you know you know). But like

I knew Clive would get me as soon as I found out who he was. So for context, Luke is the reason I started playing the PL series. Anyone who knows me personally would know how me bait Luke is, I am VERY predictable. So when I learned there was this guy who had the grand plan of pretending to be Luke from the future to infiltrate Layton's life I was like oooo boy (also yes I unfortunately didn't get to go into UF blind) . What rlly marked my Clive journey's real start was definitely learning his name. Clive Dove. I got the spoiler of bruvs name from when my dear mutual reblogged q picture of him with the Clive Dove tag on it and I was like "bro... HIS NAME IS CLIVE?!?!?!?". Then the devolvation into madness really started. Uh insert discord screenshots

When it comes to head cannons though I will definitely say we all know Clive is trans fr. When it comes to my specific trans HCs for them I really enjoy transfem Clive (its a comfort hc 4 me) but when I'm doing stuff like officially like my official HCs that I stick closer too transmasc Clive. Why? Layton parallels. My whole life is fighting to make as many parallels between the two as I can mate it's a problem. It's just too interesting to me.

Other HC wise uhhh CLIVE HAS FRECKLES FIGHT ME I love planting subtle inconsistencies between him and Luke sm.

When it comes to drawing Clive I will definitely say I do enjoy drawing him more than Luke namely due to him having a tie😱😱.

My biggest struggle in drawing him prolly uhhh the freckles I curse myself with along with just his color palette ig. I can never decide how dark I want his hair to be. But tbf I do just have inconsistent coloring in my art sooo what can you do.

Other stuff to talk about with this awful man.... OH RIGHT! I'm STILL not over him being British Yuri Lowenthal like bro💀. It's so bad randall is also British Yuri Lowenthal like stawppp💀. Anyone who knows about me and my interests knows that I have a trying relationship with Yuri Lowenthal. Clive atp is prolly my fav Yuri Lowenthal character but I don't think he can take up the og for my fave yuri lowenthal voice performance (I LOVE YOSUKE!!!!)

If I'd have to pick like my favorite Clive thing... Probably still Sallufix's 'This Hurts' animation holy shit that thing is so good. The fact that tumblr user sallufix is my mutual still baffles me I am so in love with and enchanted by their work like hold shit they are like... The Clive drawer of all time to me. Also uh he made Envicto and I am obsessed with that man to no end no one even knows.

Thanks so much for posting your thoughts on Death Mark II, really informative and has made me even more excited for the game! I hope you don’t mind me asking, but what was the one line they changed for Mashita in Death Mark that you mentioned?

Hii of course I'm so glad you read and enjoyed!! I really enjoyed playing it so I'm super excited that more people get to play it soon.. Fall 2023 needs to come faster 😭😭

Oh my god.. I'm going to stick my answer under a read more just in case people are concerned about DM spoilers in 2023 (?) and also because I accidentally went off and wrote a super long response LMFAOOOO. But I realize this is something a lot of overseas fans don't know so I hope you don't mind that I'm tagging my response!!

So.. in Chapter 2 of Death Mark, it's possible to trigger the Live or Die where you close the beehives with any partner character. And every partner character get a unique line of dialogue as soon as it starts right. In the translation, Mashita says "(last name)! Get away from there!" But.. in the original.. he says "(first name)! Run away!"

Here are screenshots comparing the two with the default "Yashiki Kazuo / 八敷一男" name:

Trying to figure out the reason they changed this has like haunted me to this day LOLLLL I just don't understand it!! At first I thought it was because the localizer might be worried overseas audiences would get confused at the sudden name switch, but then in Chapter 6 Hiroo calls Yashiki by his first name when she's possessed. So I don't know why they kept her "Kazuo" while removing Mashita's!? Like it's possible they made the decision to keep Hiroo's after they had already finished translating and localizing the earlier chapters, but I still like. Idk. It makes me mad to be honest LOL I think it's such a good and cute Mashita moment and the change is truly unneeded.. I'm holding back from going off on another tangent but you get the idea 😭😭

In general I have several other issues with the quality of the translation and localization of DM overall but also like. IIRC the AKSYS team was literally just one translator and one localizer so I try to be understanding. I just really hope that for Death Mark II they give them more resources because there's plenty of stuff that I think will be difficult to carry over accurately and if the team is stretched thin it might not live up to its full potential. That's why I said before that I was a little nervous about how they'll approach some things in the new game looll..

Anyway. If it wasn't obvious I'm like very interested in comparing the differences between the JPN and ENG versions of the game and I have plenty to say but I feel like I've already made this way too long.. I'm always happy to discuss the other things they changed and my opinions on the changes tho so like. As an open invitation to anyone else reading ig if there's anything else ur curious about I'm happy to chat!! Thank you for asking this and allowing me to ramble 💖

do you know of any warnings for yakuza games 4-6? i’ve heard about the saejima scene in 4 but otherwise idk what else. a friend wants to play the games but i’ve only played a couple so i was wondering

hii um in my opinionnn the saejima scene is like. probably the only thing that really made me feel super uncomfortable / actually triggered me i mean obviously there will be like very graphic depictions of violence and stuff but it’s yakuza so that is 2 be expected. things that made me personally a little icked out were probably in 5 where it talks about (SPOILERS) majima’s involvement with mirei where he married her when she was literally 18 (and he was much older + knew her prior + it’s said that he did outright hit her once) that was icky for me and also in 6 when (SPOILERS AGAIN) it’s revealed haruka has a kid and you’re kind of like damn she was hardly 18 and a grown ass man in his 20s got her pregnant. again that stuff was just a little disturbing to me ig it’s technically not pedophilia but it’s still a littleeee ermmm…… so i thought i would include it just in case ^_^ also in 5 there is discussion of a suicide if that’s something that might squick you out. other than that there’s nothing too bad aside from the violence ofc at least from what i’m remembering …. If anyone has anything to add feel free ^_^

its a mari lives au!!! five years after recital specifically:3 mari apologizes for not recognizing sunny's struggling since kel notices sunny's behavior beforehand, and tells hero, who in turn goes to talk to mari about it:p they make up and everything goes great!! though afterwards sunny only does recitals with mari occasionally and focuses on drawing

aubrey and basil live together

ships are suntan, cotton candy, roselily!!

ok so basically jasper info (i remake because old looked kinda ugly,,,)

jasper is 18

chatty when she's excited, a little clingy too around people she likes. uh though she is very reclusive and quiet because she lacks social skills:v is also terrible at expressing her feelings, and talks awkwardly,,

at first glance, she seems very normal and kel meets her and tries to get her to open up more cause she's lonely. this obviously works and she is introduced to the rest of the gang

relationships:

aubrey: they get along, though aubrey is initially uninterested, she gets used to her!! jasper sees her as a sort of sister figure, but probably won't admit it,,,

basil: neutral relationship,, basil is a bit too nervous to warm up so easily, but he does like her energy:3 jasper does not mind him at all but she really isn't interested either,,,,,

hero: pretty strong obviously!! both being kel's brother and his general vibes, jasper is very drawn to him:) hero also doesn't mind her either, and is glad she's opening up

(jane lore for context... main characters are ALWAYS off-put by her because of literal main character energy.. no matter how hard she disguises herself or changes her personality, they are always unsettled by her)

sunny: wants to be her friend because of how similar they are, but is nervous and uncomfortable.. jasper doesn't really pay attention to him however

DISCLAIMER!! :( : please note I am not trying to support or glorify the behaviour that jasper/jane has towards anyone, but specifically towards kel!! she is NOT supposed to be redeemable or forgiven>:(

kel: likes her a lot!! not over sunny ofc, but she is very talkative to him and excited 24/7!! jasper is pretty much attached to him, she clings to him a lot bc she loves him,,

jane: is the true jasper. she plays with people like they're just cheap toys, and does it all the time. besides, she can just respawn them like nothing happened. she's practically a god after all, she can do anything. obsessed with kel, she likes to mess with him the most.

general note: nerfed version of jane!!! she isn't self aware and can't teleport or manipulate reality!! she also isn't immortal and can be killed with a lot of effort

MAIN PLOT!!!! (sorta.. its a wip..)

sunny is in whitespace, which still exists. it is now a comfort space, where he can go to relax in silence while he's sleeping... though he suddenly looks over into the vast whiteness...

... there's SOMEONE in the distance. they disappear before sunny can inspect further. whoever it was, they leave him awake in a cold sweat.

who was that?

kel meets jasper, he has seen her around a few times but she has always been alone and away from everyone. so he decides she needs a friend, as he feels bad for her. jasper immediately warms up to him, and she is excited to have a friend.

jasper is slowly introduced to the rest of the gang, which also includes the Hooligans because of aubrey. almost everyone seems to like her so far, but she is obviously more attached to kel if anything. he didn't seem to mind too much though, seeing it as an improvement in her mood. sunny is more uncomfortable if anything. he feels bad and a bit selfish for it, but he just can't bring himself to truly get to know her. he just observes her behaviour for now, hoping that he's just paranoid.

over the span of a few weeks, stuff begins to happen.

summary; when Bucky sees you again a few months after the blip he can’t help but remember his past lover.

notes; soooo it’s been a while since i’ve written something sooo this might suck ass lol anyways remember english isn’t my first language sooo yeah enjoy :D

You were too tired to keep your eyes open, your body kept on swaying until you finally gave up making your head land on Bucky’s shoulder. His conversation with Sam getting interrupted when he felt your arms hug his metal arm.

Sharon had a smirk on her face and decided to start getting prepared for a meeting she had. “I have stuff to do so why don’t you guys enjoy the party? And don’t cause any trouble.” She said before leaving the room.

Sam stood up and began walking towards the door with Zemo following him. “You coming?” He asked his new partner.

“Uh, yeah, just let me lay her down.” Bucky answered and took your head carefully, guiding your body to lay properly on the couch, you were still holding onto his arm so he took one of the matching cushions of the couch and gave it to you so your arms could let go of his.

He took his jacket off and decided to cover you with it, making sure your back and arms were under it. He softly smiled and placed a piece of hair behind your ear so it wouldn’t tickle your face.

After that he turned around and saw both Sam and Zemo looking at him a subtle smirk. “What?”

“I’ve never seen you being so gentle.” He mocked gaining a groan from Bucky. “What’s up with that? Since the whole mission started you have been acting weird, is it because of Stark?”

“Depends on which one you’re talking about.” Bucky took one last glance at your sleeping figure.

“Her.”

Sighing, Bucky massaged his temple. “I need a drink first.”

Back on Zemo’s private jet you decided to give everyone the cold shoulder, angry at them for leaving you without saying anything or at least leaving a note. You could’ve helped them with the hundreds of mercenaries that attacked them. Zemo placed a plate with food on it in front of you and gave you a small smile, trying to make you feel at ease.

Walking down the street with Zemo like nothings wrong made you feel on edge. Thinking that maybe the new copy of Steve would appear and make things harder but you kept on wishing that it wouldn’t be the case. Zemo lead the group to a unknown building.

“I’m gonna go on a walk.” Bucky said out of nowhere.

“Take Y/N with you, don’t what could happen.” Sam said and took your shoulder.

You rolled your eyes. “Sam, he can take care of himself.” Taking his hand off your shoulder you began walking to the buildings door, leaving everyone behind.

“See you guys in a bit.”

He came back after a few minutes and started talking about how the wakandians are looking for Zemo.

All of this mess made you wonder why were you there in the first place. Sure, you had nothing to do since your father died and also coming back after 5 years, didn’t help at all. But maybe you were there because Sam called, he was the only one who tried to search for you when you decided to disappear.

“Your TT would be proud of you.” Zemo’s voice brought you back into reality after watching their whole conversation and play it on your mind.

“What’s a TT?” You asked with furrowed eyebrows.

“Whatever, we need to get moving.” Sam spoke dismissing the question you made.

You weren’t sure if the plan would work, searching for Donya was harder that you could think of and it definitively made you wonder what could go wrong if anyone from the group made a mistake. And losing your powers didn’t help the situation at all. But that’s a secret. Nobody knows you lost them and the most important thing, nobody knows you’re slowly dying. So maybe that’s one of the reasons you decided to help Sam, doing a last mission until your body gives up. You just hoped you get to finish the mission and not die in the middle of it.

But now, you had to worry about another thing. And that is John Walker, getting himself in things he doesn’t understand nor is involved in. Waiting for Sam next to him wasn’t the best moment in your life, the only thing you could do was stare at him with dislike written on your face.

Feelings like your skins burned you decided to start rubbing the sides of your neck and Bucky didn’t let that pass through blind eyes.

“Are you okay?” Bucky asks with a bit of concern filling his voice.

“Uh, yeah.” You cleared your throat. “I’m probably getting sick, don’t worry.”

Before Bucky could say anything else, Walker decided to put the mission on risk and walk inside the building Sam and Karli were having a conversation. You extended your hand to hold John by the shoulder.

“Why don’t you go and take a seat? You’re going to ruin the plan if you walk inside.” You spoke, trying to hold in the pain and burning under your skin.

John pushed you and entered the building.

And just like that, the whole situation became a mess. Ruining and shouting, the only thing you had become used to in these days.

The Dora Milaje were now your only solution. And they definitely know how to make a good entrance.

“Why don’t you relax pal?” You said to John before he gets himself hurt by the Dora Milaje, but it was too late, he placed his hand on Ayo’s shoulder. Big mistake.

You decided to sit back and watch them fight, you and Zemo exchanged looks, you gave him a nod, letting him go to the bathroom and possibly run away.

“I told you to relax, it’s what you deserve for being an ass.” You spoke with mock towards John.

Before the Dora Milaje could leave, Ayo turned her head to you and extended her hand, which was holding a stick, just like the ones the Dora Milaje use but it looked different.

“Here, Shuri told me to give it to you.” You took it and placed on your back.

Now it was only Sam, Bucky and you.

You were too tired to keep going, there’s was no point in being there without powers, you could barely fight and it made you angry. But what made you feel even worse is that you didn’t know what was causing it and seeing your body fill in with different colored lines brought back some bad memories.

Tony was well-know for not sharing his feelings or thoughts. And that made it harder for you to help him. Being at a young age didn’t matter, you did understand what was happening to him, slowly dying by the toxins coming from his reactor.

Seeing the lines in his neck will always haunt you for the rest of your life. The worst part of it is that you couldn’t tell anyone about it, he made you promise not to tell Pepper or Happy and that also caused you some trauma. He made you believe you couldn’t vent out your problems to your family or friends. You didn’t have anyone. Not even Pepper. You decided not to bother her or Morgan with the “My adoptive dad died and I have no one else” act. So it was really hard to say anything to Bucky or Sam, you didn’t want them to know that your body is not the same since you fought against Thanos.

“Go to Sarah’s, I’ll tell her to receive you back at home, okay?” Sam took both of your shoulders. “You don’t look so well, let Buck and I finish this and then call me when you feel better.”

You nodded and decided to leave immediately. Before you could go, Bucky took your arm, grabbing your attention.

“Be careful, if something happens call me immediately.” He said in a serious tone. You pushed his hand off you and muttered a small yes.

Bucky’s eyes didn’t leave your figure until it disappeared behind doors. Sighing he took a seat on the coach.

“I think it’s time for you to tell me what’s happening between you and Y/N.” Sam demanded while crossing his arms.

Nodding, Bucky tapped the seat next to him, indicating Sam to sit there so he could start speaking.

“I’ve known her even before the mess at the airport started.” Bucky started to slowly speak. “Or at least her face.”

“What are you talking about?”

“Y/N, she looks like someone I used to know back in the 40s, her name was Sophia.” He explained with clear pain showing in his eyes. “Sophia and I met while I was preparing to become a soldier, she was a nurse back then.”

“What happened to her?” Sam asked with wonder running in his mind. He wanted to ask more questions about this person.

“Died of old age. I fell in love with her, but never saw Sophie again, after Steve rescued me I tried searching for her but nobody knew what happened to her and just decided not to tell anyone about it.”

“Not even Steve?”

Bucky shook his head and sighed. “When I saw Y/N back at the airport I thought my mind was playing games with me and that’s why I never touched her when Y/N and Tony decided to go against Steve and I.”

Sam patted his friends back, trying to bring him some kind of comfort but it didn’t help.

“And I’m just frustrated because I don’t know why she looks like Sophie, I asked the wakandians if they could find any information about Sophie and they found about her family, she had two kids and one of them had a girl.” Bucky bit his lips, trying to see if he could continue the story.

“You don’t have to tell me everything Buck, if it’s hard for you then you ca—“

Bucky’s voice interrupted him. “It’s fine. You see, everyone knows Tony adopted her, so it felt like there only was one answer. She had to be the daughter of Sophie’s children but then it was another death end. I recently found out that she’s not from Sophie’s family. It’s just fate I guess.”

“Maybe the destiny is giving you another chance to be with her.” Sam tried to give a good answer to him after what he said.

“I don’t think so but if it is that way, then I don’t deserve it”

‘The Whole World Is a Stage’

(Headcannons of dating Neil Perry)

Warnings: slight smut ig, dps spoilers, Knox Overstreet’s endless pursuit of Chris Noel, Neil being absolutely adorable.

You met Neil when he came to audition for the part of ‘Puck’ in a Midsummer Nights Dream.

You had joined the production to help with the sets, props, costumes, etc. and were just about to leave when you see him recite his lines for the audition.

To say that you were instantly enamoured would be putting it lightly.

You introduce yourself to Neil just as he’s about to leave and compliment him on his acting skills.

And the boy is a stuttering fool when you do so because, going to an all boys school and having incredibly strict parents, he’s not used to interacting with girls let alone having very pretty girls come up to him and tell him that his acting is good.

He thanks you but tells you that he isn’t sure if he’ll get the part since it’s his first time acting professionally— unless the silly little plays he used to put up for his parents in his living room when he was a child count.

You laugh at first, thinking he’s joking.

But then you notice the ‘shit did I say something wrong’ expression on his face and you understand that he is not only very serious but also very nervous.

So, you assure him, telling him that, “I was there for all the auditions and yours was by far the best. They would have to be idiots to not cast you.”

Neil is blushing like crazy at the compliment.

He’s blushing even harder when you ask him if he wants to grab a cup of coffee or something from the diner nearby.

He wants to say yes but then remembers that he needs to be back at Welton before dinner so that no one realises that he’s been gone.

“It’s alright,” you tell him, “I have a feeling we’re going to be seeing a lot of each other— I’m working on the set and all of that stuff.”

This marks the beginning of a short yet lovely relationship.

You’re the first one he comes to when he finds out he’s got the part of Puck.

That’s when you two go out on your first date.

It’s nothing much just the two of you and a little picnic by the river with food you stole from your kitchen.

You two stay there still twilight when Neil realises that he needs to head back to school.

Neil helps you clean up because he’s a gentleman.

Just before he can leave you pull him into a kiss that leaves Neil weak in his knees and his cheeks brining red.

“See you tomorrow then?” You ask.

“Y-yeah, yeah.” He stutters and nodds making you giggle.

When he reaches Welton he’s completely lovesick.

The rest of the dead poets boys groan because having to deal with a lovesick Knox was bad enough but now they had to deal with a lovesick Neil too.

He tells them all about you.

He talks about you so much it’s kinda annoying.

Todd has to cover his ears with his pillow in the night for two reasons:

To block out Neil’s chatter about you before they can go to sleep, and;

To block out Neil’s moaning in the middle of the night that wakes him up no matter how deep his sleep is.

Needless to say that after all the talk the boys are very eager to meet you.

But Neil doesn’t want to introduce you to the boys, mostly because he’s afraid you’ll end up preferring Charlie or Knox over him.

So he refuses to bring you along to any of the Dead Poets Society meetings, no matter how much they insist.

Sick and tired of all the secrecy one day the boys decide sneak out to Henly Hall while Neil was at rehearsals.

They ask around backstage till they’re directed to you where you were painting a backdrop.

They introduce themselves as Neil’s friends and you surprise them by very accurately guessing who’s who since Neil had told you a lot about them too.

You and the boys hit it off right away.

Joking around with Charlie, Meeks and Pitts.

Discussing literature and art with Todd.

Discussing your friend, Chris with Knox which ends up with the you agreeing to become his wingman and talk him up to Chris since you’re not a fan of her current boyfriend.

Cameron isn’t there because he’s afraid he’ll get into trouble if the teachers find out they snuck out— not that anyone minds.

When Neil visits you after rehearsal he feel like he’s going to faint at the sight of you, Charlie, Todd, Knox, Pitts and Meeks covered in paint and laughing your asses off.

You immediately run over to Neil and kiss him, trying your hardest not to get paint all over his clothes before scolding him to not introducing you to his friends earlier.

There’s a very awkward chuckle from Neil which is followed by, “I was just waiting for the right moment.”

Charlie is stopped from making a sex joke by Knox placing his hand over the boys mouth.

That is followed by the boys informing Neil that you’ll be attending the next Dead Poets Society meeting.

Neil is speechless— on one hand he’s happy that you’re getting along so well with his closest friends, but on the other hand he wishes he had more time with you to himself before you could meet them.

Anyways, a few nights later, Neil shows up at your house around midnight and takes you to the cave where the Poets meet.

You’re excited to see them all, of course, especially Todd because he’s adorable and just needs to be hugged.

Neil starts the meeting by reciting Thoreau.

True to mr. Keating’s words you do very much swoon as you watch him recite the verse.

Joking around with the Dead Poets as you all take turns to recite poetry from the book Keating gave Neil.

Flirting endlessly with Charlie throughout the night.

Cue jealous Neil.

And you don’t even notice.

You’re too busy giggling as Charlie as he plays endless melodies on his saxophone.

Now, I kinda imagine Neil as getting all upset when he gets jealous

Because, let’s be honest, with parents like his own there is absolutely no way he doesn’t have self esteem issues.

So, anyways, you’re babbling on about how great the night was when you notice Neil kinda looking at the floor like a puppy who has been kicked.

You ask him whats wrong but he shrugs it off, requesting you to go on about your time with the rest of the Dead Poets.

You don’t back off however, insisting that Neil tells you what’s bothering you.

So, he spills the beans.

He’s surprised to find you laughing once he’s done.

“Neil, Charlie’s fun but we’re only friends,” you tell him when he asks you why you’re laughing. “I love you. And only you. Besides, I’m pretty sure I cannot be around Charlie for more than an hour without throwing up- he wears way too much cologne for his own good.”

Soon Neil’s laughing too.

The two of you are just laughing and giggling and messing around with each other till you reach your house.

You two stare at each other for a few seconds- neither of you actually wanting this night to end.

So you invite Neil inside.

“Aren’t your parents asleep?” Neil asks, completely oblivious to your ulterior motives.

“Yup.”

It takes Neil a few seconds but once he does you’re dragging him inside for, in the words of one brilliant miss Amy Santiago, “a cray-cray night of funky fun.”

Neil’s gone when you wake up the next morning leaving behind nothing except the smell of his cologne and a note telling you that he loves you too and that he’ll see you in the evening for rehearsal.

It’s pure bliss from there on.

Sneaking kisses before he has to go on stage.

Picnic dates.

Movie and museum dates.

Library dates.

Sex every free moment you two got.

And by the time the day of the performance came around everyone knew about Neil and you.

Most of them *cough cough* your parents *cough cough* thought you were adorable.

The others *cough cough* the director, the cast and crew of the play *cough cough* just wished the two of you would stop making out and being all lovey dovey everywhere.

You give Neil a good luck kiss on the lips before he could go out on stage and promise that you will watch from the wings.

And you do. You watch and you cheer louder than the Dead Poets in the audience.

You leap into Neil’s arms once the play is finished, kissing him all over his face while he giggles.

“You were so good,” you tell him. “You were so, so good!”

“I was, wasn’t I?” Neil asked with a wide grin spread across his face. “I was really, really good!”

You’re about to say something when a teacher comes up to Neil and tells him that his father is looking for him.

“Everything okay?” You ask him as you watch his expression fall at the mention of his father.

“Yeah,” he nods and places his hand on yours before pushing it off his cheek. Neil bent forward and placed one last, soft kiss against your lips. “I’ll be right back.”

“Sure,” you tell him and watch him walk away.

You stand completely still for a few minutes before deciding to follow Neil.

You walk out of the theatre just in time to see Neil being forced into a car by a man you presumed to be his father and the car then drive away into the darkness.

You ask Charlie what just happened with Neil but he seems to be more or less as clueless as you are.

So, you end up going back home, the worst thoughts about what could have happened to Neil popping into your head when you try to go to sleep.

Then the next day, just when you’re about to leave for school your mother tells you that there’s a call for you.

You immediately rush over hoping it’s Neil.

Thankfully, it is.

He tells you that he his father pulled him out of Welton and enrolled him into military school.

You’re crying, of course, weeping happy tears because you’re just so happy that’s he’s well and alright.

“You nearly gave me a heart attack you know that?” You tell him amidst tears as you run your hand through your (y/h/c) locks.

“(Y/N) I—“ Neil’s cut off by the sound of his father yelling in the background. “I’ll call you back later.”

“You better,” you sniffle and wipe your tears against the sleeve of your shirt. “Neil?”

“(Y/N)?”

“I love you.”

“I love you too.”

you guys remember that one post i made abt an amphibia spidey au? well heres what ive got so far

(referenced amphibia spoilers, also ig spoilers? in case i actually make this a thing? which i doubt but who knows)

(edit: slightly outdated now)

(edit 2: even more outdated now, a good chunk of this has been changed)

semi-canon divergent where they dont get sent to amphibia, but all of the amphibia characters are human. also slightly aged up by a year or two

some sort of sashannarcy will happen i will make sure of it

these events take place over the course of a couple years, this doesnt happen all at once

marcy is an intern of dr. andrias “andy” leviathan, who is the head of some big science corporation. they met when marcy wandered away from the group on a school field trip and they hit it off well. dr andy made them his intern once they were old enough (age 15/16)

marcy still gets the news that theyre moving away, but this time he ends up running to dr. andy and venting to him.

on an unrelated note (/s), those moving plans end up falling through bc of a tragic accident w marcys parents (~ age 14)

marcy gets taken in by dr andrias (by this point ally has moved out and is in college. she wouldve took marcy in but she couldnt afford it at the time :(). they bond a lot more and andrias basically becomes marcy's main father figure

flash forward a bit, where marcy is helping dr andrias out with a project involving messing around with spider genetics and stuff like that. thing is, marcys still clumsy as hell, and he accidentally releases a bunch of the spiders. they try to contain them all but one of them sneaks out in marcys jacket (~ age 16)

it eventually makes its way to anne and bites her, and them boom, spider anne (~16/17)

she goes to sprig and polly for help (smth in her says not to go to marcy…) and they help her out with suit designing. theres a bunch of failed trial runs and they actually get help from ally and jess at one point (anonymously) and soon enough annes on her way to being a full fledged spider person

cut back to marcy, who’s been hearing news abt some spider-person vigilante or whatever and freaking out bc hOLY SHIT WE HAVE A LOCAL SUPER HERO?!?!??!! coincidentally, he finds out that his grip is rly strong? and their vision just got ten times better? and wait a minute i haVE FANGS?!?!?! and they figure out holy shit i have spider powers too?!?!?

so marcy quickly gets to work making their own spider gear. he decides not to tell anyone despite his excitement, and they dont rly need to tell anyone bc hes got all the resources to make a suit (dr andy’s lab) and the knowledge.

the two spideys end up running into each other a lot on patrol (which may or may not have been orchestrated by marcy). theres a bit of animosity at first but eventually they decide to team up whenever theyre together. however they decide not to tell each other their identities

i have not watched miraculous lady bug but based on what ive heard anne n marce have a similar dynamic. neither of them know the other is a spidey, so theres a ton of dancing around each other bc of it. also theyre gay so yeah

meanwhile andrias is observing from a far watching his experiments play out. turns out marcys powers DIDNT come from a spider bite. nah, andrias had been secretly experimenting on them, combining their dna with spider dna. kinda like a spider man 2099 type thing but not rly bc i dont actually know his lore

he’d been prepping marcy to become the ideal host for the symbiote hes been harboring. it claims to be the best of the best sent by their people to check out other worlds, and decided to have andrias work for it. (havent decided whether to call it the night or the core yet)

they work together bc andrias has access to a bunch of resources bc yk hes some big science ceo guy type thing. the symbiote doesnt just want some normal human bc we’re boring and squishy. so it has andrias do research on gene splicing and combining the dna of humans and various other species. which means that theres more than just radioactive spiders in andrias’s labs

andrias probably goes through some arc abt wanting to be the host for the symbiote but it doesnt want him. still not quite sure yet, but he goes through some villain phase that’s a combo of a bunch of spidey’s villains (lizard/doc oc/green goblin/etc) and he goes on a rampage after being denied by the symbiote. he almost gets captured and defeated by the spideys but hes slippery so he escapes

eventually they capture marcy and put the symbiote in him (he goes missing for a while bc they got stuck in the pickle jar). shit goes down w host marcy going on a rampage and anne trying to stop them and her maybe finding out abt marcys identity but i havent gotten there yet shhh

theres probably a whole arc with marcy running off and dealing with the symbiote, but eventually they work out some sort of arrangement and marcy gets back most control over himself

no i did not forget abt sasha, shes just not as fleshed out as the others

her parents are the heads of a sort of rival company to andrias’s and theyre kind of assholes. like theres a lot to them theyre not terrible parents to sasha exactly but theyre def not good people and they treat their workers like shit

sashas actually super good with tech in this au btw, and at some point she finds out abt some super secret project her parents are working on thats rly horrible and needs to be stopped. he tries undoing it from the inside at first but it fails horribly and gets her in huge trouble with his parents. (~16/17)

she ends up running off and finding this gang that agrees to let her join and take down the corporation. sasha becomes a leader-type figure among them, plus she helps out with creating weapons

eventually he tries recruiting anne into her cause, not knowing that shes one of the spideys and doesnt rly condone their cause (neither wanna get marcy involved). the two have some whole arc kinda like the miles morales ps5 game. HOWEVER unlike the game sash lives but like barely. he spends a long time in the hospital and maybe also serves jail time im not sure yet

this all happens a bit before host marcy is a thing, or maybe while marcys missing in the pickle jar.

she eventually becomes a vigilante type figure and teams up with the spideys sometimes. the authorities know abt sashas identity but he doesnt let them catch her

also heres some extra notes

anne (she/her):

inspo: “classic” spider-man type deal with a bit of miles morales

general spider powers: wall climbing, heightened senses + reflexes + agility, spider sense, super healing, super strength

extras: miles-type venom blast (kinda like her calamity powers in a sense); has spinnerets in wrists so she can make her own webs; more “power” based fighting style

mainly relies on polly (and ally & jess sometimes) for help with gadgets and stuff like that. polly’s a smart kid

hop pop almost dies on her watch, and it becomes her “great power great responsibility” moment

practices her quips with sprig.

marcy (they/he):

inspo: spider-man 2099 and mcu-ish spider-man ?? plus venom spider-man from the trilogy but he never got it out

general spider powers (see above) with some exceptions

Does not have spider sense. or at least it seems like but its just rly weak. also cannot make his own webs, so he made web shooters

slightly higher resilience/healing ablities

extras: miles-type camouflage/invisibility powers; FANGS THEY HAVE FANGS and they can inject a paralyzing non toxic venom :3; has super vision, but in the sense that its very heightened and they can see a LOT better than a normal human. so like night vision, and they can see a lot farther than normal (makes up for the spider sense sort of); more “gadget” based fighting style

(debating this) can communicate telepathically with others, acts as some form of an extension of their spider sense

had to wear sunglasses a lot once the heightened vision started kicking in bc they were rly sensitive to light

while the fangs were rly cool at first, they actually make it kinda hard for marcy to talk normally and theyre hard to hide. he tries wearing a face mask for a bit but they still struggle speaking normally at times

sasha (she/he):

inspo: phin mason (miles morales ps5) plus a bit of harry osborn(?)

no “powers” powers, but is an amazing strategist, pretty strong (by “normal” standards), and great w tech

dont wanna say her smarts are quite on marcys level, but shes up there. in school tho she barely puts effort into the work. also, tech/engineering is the main field he’s good in, everything else (language arts, history, etc) shes just around average

p much the same types of gadgets as the tinkerer in mm ps5, programmable matter gear (computerized nanomaterial that can reform into a bunch of different weapons)

im honestly not sure yet abt sash i’ll probably change stuff abt her soon. tho i rly liked the thought of her wielding smth like the tinkerer’s sword

So I'm not really sure if this has been asked yet but how does the actual plot of RE8 fit into your AU? Is it something you have plans for, like Miranda never kidnaps Rose, sommit like that or nah? Either way I still bloody love all your stuff!

That's a great question and it actually got me thinking on this.

For starters, the events in Double edged scalpel take place quite a bit before the events of the game, around 2010 or so, even earlier. Dani and Anita's "story" happen in a similar timeframe while Laura comes along a couple years later. (I'm not sure if I'll be writing full on fics for them but I will write oneshots and such to expand on their characters/relationships)

Now for the actual game events, the tldr is Miranda isn't an idiot playing stupid games.

In my AU, she has no intention of messing around. She kidnaps Mia, gets in the house (as Mia), waits for a moment when Ethan is distracted and takes Rose. Before anyone manages to catch on or anything. She then takes Rose with her and just keeps her under her careful watch until the time for the ceremony comes. No splitting her up, none of that redundant stuff.

Ethan manages to find his way into the village, but again Miranda is not being a fool and wants him captured and in a damn cell asap to be experimented on later. No Heisenberg's lil death obstacle course, none of that. Ethan just goes to the castle and does some damage thinking Rose is there. The gals, knowing when to pick their battles just tell him that he's wasting his goddamn time and to leave their home so they have time to regroup (nobody dies tho).

Then he makes his way to the Beneviento house and, since Donna deserves to go full fucked up villain, she captures him. She has the power to psychologically destroy someone and that's exactly what she does, rendering him pretty much brain dead, his mouldy body to be studied later.

Also should add in the fact that the cult has a less... "Miranda is purely using us and will get us killed with the first occasion" dynamic. She does want them around and alive. She basically wants to create her own mini empire (for lack of a better word) for her to rule over and the Lords are all part of that. And therefore, Heisenberg for example, is a lot less inclined to betray and kill her. Also also Miranda doesn't just.. straight up has everyone killed. Dunno I feel like it's at least a bit counterproductive killing all your worshippers instead of collecting people from the outside to work as biomass.

Now with Ethan out of the way, back to Miranda, Rose and Mia. Miranda doesn't actually want to use Rose herself as a vessel, but use a tissue sample to make a copy that then can serve as a vessel. It's not out of the goodness of her heart mind you, it's more of a guarantee the if anything goes wrong with the process, the "original" is still there to get more samples from. Mia doesn't want that but she doesn't exactly have a say in this. It does work though and Miranda gets her Eva back yay for her ig. Mia also gets Rose back and Miranda, in an odd act of kindness, promises that if they ever need anything, Mia knows where to find her.

Now, where things get a lil' weird. Should preface this by saying that I'm basing this detail of the AU on my favorite book, Annihilation (from the Southern Reach trilogy). The gist of it is: aliens create an anomalous area enclosed in something akin to a force field where everything alive gets modified on a biological level by the alien organism and it interferes with any technology within.

Now obviously, no aliens here. But we have the Megamycete at the center of it all and Miranda controlling the whole area in which the village (more akin to a small town in my AU) and its surroundings are enclosed. This is how she controls exactly what comes in from outside and what works inside.

And therefore, Chris can't do jack shit. He can't even enter the area let alone blow anything up. Ok moving on.

As stated before, Miranda's offer to Mia still stands, even as she gives her a bitter "fuck you" as she leaves the village with Rose in her arms. However it takes her little to realize that no matter where they go, Rose is basically gonna become a lab rat under supervision 24/7 so she swallows her pride and comes back to Miranda, asking her to let them stay in the village where nobody from te outside can touch them. She obliges, letting her choose any place she'd like to live in and that's how Mia and Rose settle there. (Also the town is a lot more functional here).

Aaand idk maybe Rose and Eva grow up to be friends or something idk I think that'd be cute. They have a whole ass cultish "family" too so that'd make for some interesting shenanigans.

Also, realizing you may want to know more about the maidens: they do partake in anything ceremony related as much as the sisters, complete with matching outfits. By this point in time they are also married and fully part of the Dimitrescu family. Also had gone through the mutation but no spoilers on that. Just going to say that Miranda comes to see them as at the very least good assets to keep around and therefore somewhat important members of the cult.

💭: The Neos are still with their alien and ghost business (and I NEED answers)

(!) Not a full-length theory like I usually write, just some thoughts I have that I want to share

I’m still bothered by the times when the Neos spoiled us with aliens and that NCT Horror Night? What was that about. I know I posted these separately on my Twitter account but I want to include them here since this is my main theory dump haha

I’m sure its common knowledge that Johnny and Mark (I think Haechan also did it?) did that alien filter thing in an IG Live and said that its a spoiler. But in Sticker MV there’s NOT a single alien shi there. But then there are these posts,

Mark’s post is clearly about aliens but the IG stories could either be alien or ghost. Also, this content that I’m sure everyone knows

Someone mentioned that it could be spoiler crumbs for new members or even new unit.

I mean NCT2021 is getting near (like what Xiaojun said the other night) but whats with these spoilers?!?!! I made a theory about why I think they did these spoilers since The Matrix was one of their main inspirations for their lore. But now that I think of it, I’m not sure if the Neos would take it that far. As much as they use The Matrix as inspiration, I think they only take small certain elements from it (like the martial arts for Kick It ). But who knows really I might be right, I did theorize that the film plays a huge part in it too.

NOW lets talk about how all of this alien started.

The earliest alien reference was from NCT127′s MAD DOG. I mean if there are other songs that talk about aliens or ghosts do tell because I don’t read the lyrics that much ddahjda

And the alien has something to do with horns?? Honestly, the Korean version of the title is ‘뿔‘, which means ‘horn’. Then we have these ‘creatures’ in Hello Future,

There were UFOs too in the MV you can just watch it again, especially by the end of it. BTW, I dont see anyone talking about these?? Two of them kind of looks like an axolotl but blue and there is one that looks like a sea butterfly.

We also have this horn reference in Bring The Noize

Just look at the two hands behind Jaehyun but the thing is, the lyrics was ghost

I’m not very sure about the ghost one but NCT Dream probably has a lot to say about it

I’m honestly kind of afraid what if this whole time all of this alien refereces are just for Key’s BAD LOVE. But with this post, its convincing alright that the Neos have their own alien plus ghost stuff. I’ll add more if I find any, but NCT2021 is coming so this post MIGHT be short-lived. As long as the project will give us answers.

ok so like the movie was ok

so they kinda danced on the fact that Sam is billy loomis’ kid for the entire film and I wanna know who the mom is like rn

also no hate to that actress who played Sam but ion think she was the right person for this film

i thought that Jenna Ortega did a good job acting but it was a lot more of heavy breathing and not like whimpering and other shit you do when hurt

um I like that that liv girl died bc she was pretty damn annoying and the Vince dude

i think everyone kinda knew that Richie was gonna be a killer but at the same time I really liked him

amber was easy to tell from the start bc she was just so controlling but like there was no way she would be able to take out Wes and the jock dude but she somehow managed to take out dewey (ion rly understand that)

both amber and richie’s motives were like the same as mikey’s in the 2 movie and bc of there motives that it’s just for a sequel or requel that is how you can tell that they are real psychopaths bc their motive was just for another movie

um ion like the fact that Richie is like probs 22 and amber and is like 17-18 bc at the end it kinda sounds like they are dating cause they keep saying baby and honey and shit like how tf did they meet (I’m gonna say it was bc of a fandom website or sum) it’s not that I think its weird to be dating and be a couple years apart but if amber rly was that young than to me it kinda is (plus it would be illegal if she was actually 17)

I rly don’t like that it was gale and Sidney that killed amber cause it was basically two 40 or 50 year olds killing a child that just didn’t sit right with me

i literally loved the randy meeks memorial and they brought back Martha Meeks like AHHHHHH😻

I love that mindy (the girl twin) was like totally obsessed with how to analyze all the movie stuff like randy

i especially love that one line where dewey is like “your all suspects“ in a serious tone and shit and then there comes Martha saying “randy would be so proud“ like oml 😃

i also hate that they killed dewey cause him and randy were always my favorites BUT ig all main characters have to die eventually

i def liked that Sam didn’t doubt her sister and still untied her (like she did for a second but like who would put themselves through that much pain just to kill a couple ppl)

i like that most of the deaths were pretty gruesome

that part where Sam saw the knife and was gonna kill Richie my dumbass seriously thought she was going for the umbrella like in the first movie where sid killed billy 😭

amber, Richie, mindy, and Wes were my favorites (ik two of them are killers sadly)

mindy seems to be apart of the lgbtq community bc she was making out with a girl (doesn’t rly say anything abt being gay or sum tho) and she was wearing a gay heart pin (ion know if shes gay, lesbian, pan, bi, ect.)

I am in love with mindy ngl 😋

that little scene where mindy is holding a thumbs up to her brother when they are getting the medical help is just adorable

I WAS ALSO MADLY IN LOVE WITH WES BUT THEY HAS TO KILL HIM AND I WAS SO MAD I MEAN I KINDA SAW IT COMING BUT LIKE C’MON MAN 😡

overall the movie was ok and I’m rly gonna blame this on the writers bc I swear after the third scream the writers kinda got sloppy

hey so “find me” dropped on premiere and i just watched it, so you know what that means??

it’s review time!

(super rambly as usual) spoilers under the cut

before i say anything, let me say, IT’S FINE, Y’ALL. as predicted. people are gonna be dramatic bc there are daryl/leah scenes, but like...we been knew? and some of them were rly important caryl-wise. (tbh, the episode was kind of boring and just a set-up for other stuff, lmfao)

okay, review:

opening credits, which i think most of us have already seen, were cute. obvi there was some weird tension with daryl that leads to the coming-to-a-head thing at the end, but their banter is still cute af

they went fishing and daryl’s reaction to carol was adorable, and there’s an important parallel later on, so bookmark this

similarly, there’s an important parallel to carol’s “the dead catch up to us eventually”/daryl’s “i ain’t gonna let it”, so bookmark that, too

dog is the instigator for the flashbacks, so if you wanna blame anyone, blame him. he races to the cabin, which for some reason daryl, who spent five years in this forest, seemed surprised to see? didn’t you literally map out that whole area, my dude? whatever

cue flashback!

i might have the scene order mixed up, but i think it starts with daryl being all sad by himself, and then dog as a puppy shows up and he’s like “!!! a dog!!!” which is v cute, and then he runs back off. we don’t meet leah yet

we see carol and daryl having a conversation while standing on opposite sides of a river for no reason except to probably symbolize distance or maybe covid, lol. the conversation basically goes:

carol: things are different

daryl: yeah

carol: how long are you gonna be out here?

daryl: -shrug emoji-

carol: i get why you’re out here, and i’d join you if things weren’t...

daryl: different

carol: yeah

daryl: yeah. anyway, it’s gonna rain, and also i’m having emotions, so ttyl

the end

at some point we see daryl sitting with an extremely unhappy face while it pours rain on him in the dark, and i want that as a reaction gif IMMEDIATELY

also the rain destroys his “where in the world is rick grimes?” map, which makes him v upset and scream-y, and we get the idea that he might be going a bit bonkers being all alone looking for a dead (or, ig, kidnapped by helicopter) man

in present day carol finds the note, and is like “oh dunk, she lived here??” so she knew about leah, and daryl’s like, “i already told you everything,” and carol’s like, “no you didn’t,” so we go back to flashbacks (but i’m still not sure what parts carol didn’t already know?? whatever, it’s not that important)

i’m just gonna hit the highlights of the flashbacks bc they were not that thrilling:

first time daryl meets leah the dog leads him to her cabin, and leah ties him to a chair and holds a gun to his head being like, “what are you doing on my land?” bc apparently you can claim whole forests during the apocalypse, and daryl says very little, and eventually she lets him go

next time dog finds daryl and he brings her back and leah is like, “the dog likes you” and they’re kinda flirty, and then daryl says very little and leaves

next time daryl is surrounded by walkers and leah shows up and helps and they hide in a tree and are awkwardly close to each other and daryl cannot handle the close physical contact so when the walkers pass he says very little except to tell her to never come back again, lmfao

the next flashback is my favorite bc daryl just fucking

goes to leah’s cabin and throws a fish at the door???

i laughed for ten years

he throws a fucking fish and then stands there for a minute like “is she gonna notice that i gave her a fish??” like, no, dumbass, you didn’t even knock, you just threw a fucking fish at her fucking door, what is wrong with you??

no wonder it’s taken him and carol so long if he thinks throwing fish at people is a smooth move. boy has NO fucking game

anyway, leah gets him back by finding him and throwing the fish at his head, being like, “wtf, don’t throw fish on my porch?” which, fair, leah

IMPORTANT CARYL PARALLEL (from here on out known as “caryllels”) #1: so earlier i mentioned the carol fish thing, and apparently the same thing happened with leah, where she speared a fish on her first try and daryl was like “tf?” v blatant “we are supposed to be thinking about carol and daryl’s relationship during this scene” sort of thing

leah’s backstory is bland. had a family, they got eaten or disappeared or something. she, her adopted son, and dog’s mom got away, but the kid was bit, and died the same day dog was born, bc ig when god closes one door, he replaces your dead son with a puppy, or however the idiom goes

ONLY PART THAT GOT ME LEGIT EMOTIONAL:

leah asked daryl who he lost, and he says, “my brother”

i hated rick for so long and now i miss him so much

but i digress

IMPORTANT CARYLLEL #2: leah and daryl have the same “the dead get you eventually”/”i ain’t gonna let it” conversation as caryl had earlier, only daryl is playing the role of carol in this scenario, so again we’re supposed to be comparing the two relationships. lemme get through the rest of the summary and then i’ll tell you my opinion on what that means

fuck what even happens next?

i have these out of order bc they were all the fucking same, but the two of them get closer, and there is the vaguest suggestion of sex ever. you literally only see daryl’s hand

then jump-cut to them sitting at the table being emo, ig bc daryl was gonna go back to look for rick for a bit, and leah is like “who do you belong with? your brother you won’t stop looking for? your family that you left? [side note: that seemed rather pointed, like, “hey hoe, you abandoned your family, that was kind of a dick move”] or me?” and he says he doesn’t know, and she’s like “yeah you do, now choose”

jump-cut to caryl scene where carol finds him at the river and says that she won’t be visiting as much, and daryl’s like “k” and they have a brief argument where daryl’s all snippy, like, “what? do you want my permission for you to move on with your life? i’m not still emo about the fact that you’re moving on with your life, and i also don’t think it’s contextually significant that every time you show up in my flashbacks you explicitly mention that you’re married and have a kid,” and carol is like, “bro, you need to Get Your Shit Together and come home”

jump-cut to daryl having what i’m assuming is an epiphany that carol/fam have all moved on while he was out being emo, and so he decides to go be with leah, except, plot twist! she’s gone. the picture of her and her son is gone, but dog is still there. daryl leaves the note, which says, “i belong with you, find me”

for those freaking out about the wording about the note, may i remind you that she specifically asked, “do you belong x, x, or with me?” so he was just answering the question

aaaaaand back to present day

carol is like, “what do you think happened to her?” and daryl is all -shrug emoji-, and then she’s like, “...do you think she might have just...you know...left?” and daryl gets rull offended, which was kind of funny

(she probably just left, bud)

carol tells daryl to stop thinking that when people leave it’s bc of him, and connie’s name gets thrown into the mix, and daryl gets a “oh here we fucking go” look on his face, and it sets him off

he said basically what we were already spoiled for. “you just want to run, you don’t know when to stop, i shouldn’t have taken you off the boat bc you still just want to run” etc

and carol looks fucking HEARTBROKEN, which hurt me, and she goes into the other room and we end the episode with daryl staring forlornly out of the window

the end

okay

so quick analysis

i think the significance of this episode is supposed to be so we have an understanding of why daryl is suddenly so !teamfamily, and !teamfuture, and how badly he wants carol to be there with him. at one point, one of them even says, “this isn’t about leah, or connie,” or anyone but the two of them. the title “find me” feels significant, bc the whole episode is daryl grappling with where he’s supposed to go, and what his purpose is, and by the end, he says to carol, “i know where i belong,” (implying, with her and the fam), pulling us full-circle. in the first flashback onward he is lost, but by the end he is found -cue amazing grace-

daryl and leah were flirty, but to me it felt very much like something that was just being used as daryl character development. we barely got anything that juicy between the two of them (except the fish throwing thing, that was amazing), and i still don’t think that it would make any sense, regardless of the showrunner, to pair daryl up with some rando after having so many other choices that people would have preferred. i don’t think we’re meant to #endgame ship it, so much as we are supposed to be like, “oh, ok, daryl learned the power of family and stability and leveled up, -you know what that is? growth gif-” as a result, i literally have no idea what leah’s role is gonna be in s11, but i don’t think it’ll be a huge plot point

so now we firmly know where daryl stands. he is all about moving forward, not looking back, and doing the best he can, and he’s frustrated bc when he took carol off the boat he wanted her to be in the same place as him so that they could grow together, but she wasn’t and isn’t there yet

so my guess is that what’s next for carol’s storyline is her reaching that same zen-level daryl’s at

once they’re both there, then they get to ride off into the sunset and make passionate love under the moon casting shadows over the vast desert wasteland

anyway

tl;dr: idk, episode was fine, if not kinda boring. lots of caryllels. can i go back to writing my vietnam war au now?

-I’m sorry but he’s literally the coolest dad, his entire life changes because of that kid

-When JJ leaves to go over to his moms house Jesse won’t let you get out of bed, this mf hasn’t got any in a week

-He gets a bunch of cook books so he can better his ability to cook for little JJ

-You guys decorate JJs room together and it’s the cutest thing ever

-He takes you to romantic places in the abandon city when yall are on rounds together

-Jesse has a lot of friends but he would much rather hang out with you

-Yall call each other stupid and dumb a lot but it’s never used as an insult its just for fun

-”Damn it, why do i always get the nasty ones.”

-”Because your stupid, dummy.”

-”That’s right, i forgot.”

-Your guys bed is never made, you guys don’t even bother at this point. Like either the kid messes it up or you guys mess it up so what's the point

Seongjoong college au?? Ft. Wooyoung; ONESHOT 😚 no warnings, humor ig

Yeah idk where that came from, I'm in my seongjoong feelz, mingi is back, I love woo, anyways besties enjoyyyyy ✌ also just in case anyone is still waiting for the promised minsung au! It is in the making!

"I cannot believe they've put all of that into one exam!", Wooyoung cries out, knuckles turning white around the strings of his backpack."Like, what am I - a robot?!"

"Maybe if you started studying earlier, you wouldn't have that much stress now."

"Nobody ever does that!"

They're on their way from the student dorms to Hongjoong's apartment - not for the first time, but this time, Seonghwa's car is standing in the parking lot.

"Oooh", Wooyoung makes. Your hot roomie finally home for once?"

"God, I wish I never told you that."

"But you diiiid", the younger cheers, wrapping his arm around Hongjoong's neck only to pull him down with his full body weight, making him groan.

With work, university and producing his tracks, the dorms weren't an option for Hongjoong anymore. Too loud, too smelly, too...first semester vibey. So, he saved up, worked through vacations and even during normal periods - and voila. His own, tiny, little room, a living room, a CLEAN bathroom he doesn't have to share with 727272 people, simply put : heaven. Sure, he might be a little tighter on budget now, but at least he was able to remain his sanity, and that's a win.

The apartment is not that cheap; sharing it makes it easier. And with Seonghwa, a business major in his 3rd year, it was a good catch.

He's nice, friendly, tidy - too tidy if you ask Hongjoong, especially when he is bitching about the coffee mugs in the sink, like, who the hell cares - but he is also very, very pretty, and caring, and that, ladies and gentlemen, isn't a good thing, at least not to his heart because he is - well, in some cases of being near him, and especially when Seonghwa smells good, becomes - the definition of a useless gay.

That's how bad it actually is, but luckily, only Yunho knows that.

For the rest of his friends, the older is just known as "hot".

Which is also very, very true.

"Hey!", Hongjoong shouts, tossing his keys onto the shelf next to the door.

Seonghwa is busy watering the plants. "Ah, hey! How was your scenery project?"

"Good, good!"

"What, this is it?", Wooyoung hisses, taking off his jacket. He pinches the older's waist. "If I called your storyboarding a scenery project you would have behaded me."

"Well you are a brat", Hongjoong whispers back, to which the younger only rolls his eyes, only to add a louder "brought someone with me today. Seonghwa, this is Wooyoung."

"HEEEYYYY", Wooyoung gives him a wave and earns a chuckle. "Nice to finally meet you, you know, Hongjoong always talks about his infamous roommate."

I'm going to kill that kid.

"Ah, really?" Seonghwa shoots him a glance, and he can't read an expression from it before it's already gone. "He talks about his friends too." Hee points at Woo with the water in his hands. "I'm guessing you are the loud one?"

"He is", Hongjoong quickly states before the younger has enough time to answer. "And you're just here to pick some notes up, c'mon. I got things to do."

With that, he pulls him into his room.

"What, you're not even inviting me for dinner?", Wooyoung says fifteen minutes later as he is getting dragged out by his friend.

"Exactly. You're a vaccuum when it comes to food, and I'm broke."

"You're mean, that's what you are-"

"Yeah, yeah, you're gonna survive it."

He somehow managed to get the boy into door-and-floor-space; he knows how long it can take to get him actually past the frame.

"Now go home and study. And use the notes!"

"You know I would be better off if you helped me study!"

"I got my own stuff to do."

"We could study together."

"I will clean my desk now. Go ask San!"

He sighs at the whine the younger lets out.

"Yah, hyung, you're really no fun. You don't even care about me or my grades."

"I literally just gave you all my notes."

"Yeah, but you got a monster brain and I don't understand them-"

A soft giggle makes them both turn around.

Seonghwa is done with the plants - he now seems to be cleaning the dining table, and for that, he's taken off his hoodie.

The tshirt he's wearing is white, a perfect match to his skin. His tan, muscular arms flex lightly at his movements.

"Huh." Wooyoung stares for a moment, tilting his head.

"Hongjoong hyung?"

"Hm?"

"You know the thing...you told me earlier?"

"The thing? I-what thing?"

"That thing."

"Oh. Yeah. Let me guess. You get my point now?"

"Definetely. Yeah."

Hongjoong leans onto Wooyoung's shoulder with one arm.

Four eyes are on Seongwha, who is painfully oblivious, probably not even listening. He's holding a can in his hands.

"Juice, anyone?"

"He's kinda like a mum. You're kinda like a mum, Seonghwa."

"I-what?"

"That's his way of giving somebody nicknames, I think. Either that or he's got both mommy and daddy issues. He told me I sound like a dad-"

He coughs away the pain as the younger smacks his stomach; for a moment, Seonghwa's eyes are on him.

"You know, hyung, I agree with you", Wooyoung says right before he's out the door, getting his revenge. "Your roommate is hot, you were right about that."

Snitch.

Hongjoong, however, did not expect anything less. He deals with it the way he always deals with pretty boys : joking about it until it hurts because he doesn't stand a chance anyway, vibing in the frequency of an awkward wave.

Hakuna matata.

"I know I am - I'm always right!", he shouts after the younger friend although the door is already closed.

Just be shameless, nobody knows you're dying of embarassment until you show it.

And maybe he is a little competitive as well. Maybe.

He doesn't even look at the older; he plays it off with a soft chuckle, focusing his attention back on his desk that, he must admit, looks like a battle field of supplies. Brushes, pencils, notes, papers, folders - a cup of coffee here, a computer mouse there. Sweet sweet college life.

It's quiet around him, nothing unusual, Seonghwa is a calm person after all. If he's honest, Hongjoong is glad to have found a roommate like him. (If only he wasn't so handsome that it's hard, like, really hard, to focus. He can't complain though.)

The weird knot in his chest forces him to go against his anxiety and look up. He meets Seonghwa's eyes immediately.

Again.

"What?", he asks, breathing out a laugh that - he hopes sincerely - doesn't sound nervous.

"He just gave you a compliment, that's Wooyoung for you."

"Mhm", Seonghwa makes.

"Aw, are you getting shy? Don't you know how to handle a compliment?"

A light hint of pink appears on the older's cheeks, which is weird because at the same time, he's furrowing his brows. Hongjoong wishes he didn't enjoy teasing him so much.

(Spoiler alert: not really.)

"What? No-"

He grins.

Cute.

He might be smiling through the pain when it comes to the next comment, but hey - Nobody has to know. (How would they know?)

"Is it because he's pretty? Is he your type?"

That's how you do it. Just drop hints and make him date another dude, to cope with the fact that you might develope an unhealthy crush on your roommate and don't stand a chance.

Hah!

But who would do such a thing, not Hongjoong.

Obviously.

"He's a really great guy", he cheerfully adds, focusing on his organization again. "A little loud, but maybe that's a match. I could totally set you guys up."

He doesn't even know what paper he has in his hands.

"Well, yeah", a deep voice suddenly murmurs in his ear and he nearly jumps.

Seonghwa is standing right in front of him.

"You could do that...but", he inhales softly, grabbing a pastel pink pen from the tornado of chaos Hongjoong calls his work place. It's got a little plastic strawberry on its tip.

"He's not really my type."

And then, almost like a whisper, and a lot closer to his ear, he just says: "You are."

And then he leaves, letting Hongjoong alone in the living room, with the words "I think that's my pen, thanks", and Hongjoong just stares at the wall.
