End of the Year Creative Wrap-Up

1) What is your favorite thing you created? Which work are you the proudest of?

I’ve written more this year than I have my entire life put together, which isn’t saying a lot, but it does make it hard to narrow down. :P For now, I’ll say St. Judy’s Comic, All That Remains in My War-Ravaged World, and Mac + Breakfast + Jill + Dreams.

2) Is there anything else you are proud of that you achieved this year?

Okay, this isn’t a creative thing, but. I’ve got this chronic thing called Hashimoto’s disease, which makes me feel generally exhausted and sick pretty much always. I go through phases where it’s not particularly debilitating, but I’ve spent the last year and a half essentially bedridden, which meant I had lots and lots of time to write stories and do art. The second half of last year and the first half of this year, I was more creatively productive than I think I’ve ever been, and it felt AMAZING. I couldn’t be physically productive, so making pictures and stories sort of started to be my day job. Flash forward to about, mmm, July/September-ish of this year, which finds me so tired even scrolling on my phone while flopped, otherwise motionless on my bed, makes me ache with weariness. And let’s not even mention the brain fog. I’m suddenly so tired I can’t even do the tiny things I was doing to be productive before, and I start to feel guilty because I gotta do SOMETHING, right?

Well. I’m learning that I am doing something. I’m surviving, and I’m doing my best to grow and take care of myself and encourage the people around me, and for right now? That’s enough. Doing my best today might not look the same as it did a year ago or a month ago or even a day ago. And that’s okay.

It’s been a hard lesson to accept, and one I expect I’ll always be learning it to some extent, but I feel like that’s probably my biggest accomplishment this year. :)

3) Did you explore anything new this year? (A new way to be creative, a trope you didn't write before or an idea you hadn't thought of earlier, etc.)

I got really into digital art, which has been soooo fun. I started a giant AU that scares the living daylights out of me, and I’ve been part of a fic collab which is so utterly rad on so many levels. I wrote a fic in my best attempt at the style of Cormac McCarthy and failed miserably, but had a splendid time nonetheless. It was also, incidentally, my first fix-it fic.

4) Which work gave you the most difficulty? What was your biggest creative challenge this year?

Sat Phone + Heat Stroke + GPS was a struggle to get through, but I was pretty satisfied with it in the end. It’s also been a fun challenge to figure out the best way to do a writing collab when the authors are on different sides of the universe, but I’m happy to say, I think we figured out a pretty decent balance!

5) Which work brought you the most joy?

Warmth, maybe? It’s art, not a story, but it took a lot of work and it was kind of a breakthrough for me at that point, and I was just so happy with the vibe it gave me. I also loved doing Sky Full of Stars SO much. And my guys, I had the best time with So Happy Together. Don't judge.

6) Which of your works do you think people should check out?

Asdjfksadfakhdafda. Well. All my stuff is up on AO3, and everything that’s not an art is also up on FF.N. I’ve got an increasingly large repertoire of MacGyver (2016) stuff, a slowly but steadily growing pile of Stargate: SG-1 content, some NCIS: New Orleans, a few Jack Ryan (2018) fics, plus a few other miscy misc things. I think it’s all gen/found family feels except That One Jack Ryan Fic that almost did me in. I’d be thrilled and honored if anyone wants to check any of it out! Y’all welcome by my fire any time.

7) Do you have creative plans for next year? Is there anything exciting you are currently working on?

[glares at Prison Break AU] I don’t wanna talk about it.

Kidding. I’ve got a bunch of smol things and a few biggish things and that one heckin lorge thing in the works, and I’m really excited about all of it. I’m mostly making Stargate fic at the moment, and I’m really excited to explore those characters more. I also got an art commission from someone that’s making me fangirl a little, and I’m pretty psyched about that! I think my main plans are just to keep growing my skills, though, and hopefully challenge myself.

8) Lastly, any words of wisdom or anything else you would like to share?

This applies to creative pursuits, but also just. Life. Be gentle with yourself, love. Your fic didn’t turn out as beautifully as you imagined? So what? I garuntee you your readers aren’t going to see it that way, and you’ve grown in writing it. Your art was messier than you planned? That’s okay! You’ve made an important step toward your goals! You haven’t produced anything creative in months? Don’t worry. You’ll find your mojo again. For now, it’s okay to feed your muse and let her rest. Do your best each day, whatever that looks like, and learn to be proud of that. Give yourself the same grace you’d give to a friend, and I think you’ll start to see yourself in a different light. I have, anyway.

Summary: You boyfriend is back from his work and end up joining you babysitting a little fan of his.

Sebastian is home! After months of being away on a shoot. That’s why when he suddenly showed up on your front door you couldn't stop yourself from screaming so loud and throwing yourself on his arm making him chuckle as he hugs you tight kissing the top of your head.

“I missed you too Sweetheart.” he said as he put you down and held your face to kiss you on the lips making you moan and cling on him more.

You’re so happy he’s here that you forgot you got a little daredevil in your living room until you heard something crashed. Seb let go of your lips looking at you frowning.

“Yeah, sorry about that. I forgot about him.” you laughed awkwardly and stealing a quick kiss on his lips you pulled him inside your home. “I’m currently babysitting for my sister.” you said as you and bucky stare at a little four year old kid hanging upside down your sofa.

You saw your rose cabbage that is supposedly on your coffee table on your floor. Luckily the plant was not damaged much but the soil is everywhere.

“Lucas, what did you do to Auntie’s plant?” You said tiredly. You love this kid but he’s just super energized 24/7.

"It jumped, Auntie. Sowwie" The kid said fixing himself on the sofa looking at you with his ever so effective puppy eyes. Sighing you went to him to squish his chubby cheeks and kissed his forehead.

"Well it's fine. The plant is alright but next time don't climb tables Hun it's not safe." You told him seriously. "You understand that?? We don't want you to have boo boo right?" And the kid nodded and hugged you tight. You heard Seb chuckling at you being defeated by a kid when he can't win arguments with you. You heard Lucas' little gasp as he saw Sebastian. You know how much of a Bucky fan your nephew is.

"It's you!!!" Lucas said or more likely shouted as he pointed at Sebastian.

"Me?" Your boyfriend asked, confused.

"You're James Buchownun Bwarnes!!!!" He clapped his hands.

"Am I?" Seb smirked as he looked at the kid with warm eyes.

"I know you! You fight bad guys!" He happily explained as he ran to his backpack recovering his little Bucky action figures for sure. He loves showing them off to people.

Seb looked at you, wide grin on his face seeing how excited your nephew is. You just shrugged your shoulders, smiling too as you cleaned up the mess made by the fallen plant the magically jumped. You chuckle.

"Wow. I didn't know your nephew liked Bucky." He said as he helped you out.

"Well, no one can escape the charm Bucky Barnes has specially being played by a wonderful actor." You teased him making his cheeks turn a shade of red.

"You're too good for my ego. I love you sweetheart." He said winking at you.

"I love you too and I have so many things I wanna do with you right now. Sadly I have a promise I need to fulfill to a certain kid." You said as you got up. Seb groaned painfully looking at you with intense eyes. You sent him a flying kiss.

The Mess on the floor is all cleaned up. You set you poor rose cabbage somewhere dry so you can tend to it later without it dying on you.

A little later you heard little footsteps coming towards you. Lucas comes to view with his three toys. A Endgame Bucky toy, 40s Bucky and a Captain America toy, those are his all time favorites.

"Mistwer Bucky!!! Look! I have smol you." He said as he shows Seb a toothy grin.

"Wow, that looks exactly just like me." He said as he kneel down to be on Lucas' level.

You let the two play for a bit as you finish up cleaning and walk to them after more or less thirty minutes.

“Okay boys, time to go.” You said. It’s time to go out and fulfill your promise to Lucas.

The kid excitedly went to get his shoes while Sebastian stood up to hug you from behind.

“What’s up? Where are we going?” He asked as he rained kisses on your nape.

“Stop that, there’s a kid here.” You chuckle. He did what you said but without kissing your cheek before he let go of you.

“So?” He asked as the two of you waited for Lucas.

“Well. I promised him a milkshake this morning. There’s a shop that we love to go to and we are going there now.” you happily told him.

“Sounds fun.” Seb said as he picked up his hat and sunglasses.

“Milkshakeeee!” Lucas said as he walked near the door which made you and Sebastian laugh.

All of you are very excited but not until you reach the store. The hot weather must have attracted lots of customers because its jam packed. You worriedly peaked at Seb and you saw him lover his baseball cap a bit and looking down to hide his face better. You smiled worriedly at him but he only winked at you and circled his left arm on your waist.

“We’ll order and then leave as soon as we are done.” you said to him looking down at Lucas who is excitedly waiting beside you. The line is a bit long but they are moving nicely.

It took you a good twenty minutes until it was your turn and the nice owner Mr. Lopez smiled nicely at your group. You’ve been on his shop for so long that he became your friend.

“Hello there, my favorite customer.: He said as he looks down at Lucas who is looking up at him with sparkly eyes.

“Hello Mistwer Lowpez.” Your nephew greeted waving his hands.

“Hey, looks like a good day for you today.” You said to the sweet old man.

“It is. It must have been very hot out. This is the most customer I have had in my twenty years of business.” He chuckled. “Will you be getting you usual?” He asked and you nodded then looked at Sebastian at your side.

“What will you get sweetheart?” you asked.

“I think I’ll have the same as you guys.” HE said, he still has his head lowered.

“Is he okay?” Mr. Lopez asked.

“Yes, he’s just a little shy.” you teased him which earned you a light pinch on your side making you jump up from the shock and the tickling sensation. “Seb!” you said giggling.

“Bad girl.” he whispered near your ears making you shiver.

Paying Mr. Lopez after he got your orders the three of you moved out of the way so that the next customer can order and you’ll just wait for your drinks to be prepared.

A moment later the three of you were on your way home. Lucas is already drinking his and humming happily as he does not until he tripped on his own feet luckily Seb was quick enough to catch him.

“You okay bud?” he asks as he helps the kid stand up. Lucas was just looking at him in awe.

“You really are a superhero!” he said jumping up to cling on Sebastian’s neck. It makes you laugh and warms your heart at the same time.

“I think I am now…” Seb said as he stood up with your nephew in his arms.

“My milkshake jumped too auntie.” Lucas said pointing at the spilled drink on the floor.

“Oh no…” you said. You can see that Lucas’ eyes are starting to water now. The waterworks are about to come.

“Hey buddy, look you can have mine.” Seb said and you took his drink from the handler you have in your hand and gave it to Lucas who happily accepted it.

“Lucas what do you say?” you asked.

“Thank you Mistwer Bwarnes.” he said grinning widely before he slurped in his drink.

You took yours too and sipped a little before offering some to Seb. He looked at you confused and you moved the straw near his lips and he slowly closed his lips on them and sipped a lot making him cringe when he felt a sting in his head. You and Lucas laughed at him.

“Ugh...brain freeze ow.” he said and the two of you continued walking with you making sure Seb got to drink the milkshake you are now sharing together because he gave his to you nephew who is still in Sebastian’s arms drinking what supposed to be your boyfriend’s drink.

This is not what you planned with Seb’s return but this is soooo much better. You are enjoying your favorite drink with your two favorite guys.

he told you to meet him here. the slight breeze grazed over the dimly lit lavender fields that surrounded you as you lay on the plaid blanket you had brought, under strict orders from kevin.

your project took up most of your time. with your deadline coming in just a month, you locked yourself away in your studio for numerous nights on end. you had even become friendly with the out of hours security that roamed the halls of your department building. they often found you huddled over your work space with your face smushed against an abundance of utensils and papers.

it was some day in may, you knew that much. your phone ran out of battery a few days ago and you hadn’t had much human contact in a while. but your instruction to be where you are right now was left on a small folded note left on your desk this morning when you were out at the convenience store buying snacks for the day ahead.

meet me in the lavender field behind school at 11pm. bring yourself and your favourite blanket. i promise I won’t keep you too long. - mk

and so here you were.

11:10pm. and no sign of human life whatsoever in your near surroundings.

the overgrown trees on the outskirts the field were occupied by groups of students who hung out after hours. the dull chatter made the late hour feel less daunting.

your eyes wandered the field until approaching footsteps became louder from the direction behind you.

“it’s 11:11 – you gotta make a wish.”

a brightly lit kevin stood behind you with a huge smile covering his face. wrapped across his shoulder down to his waist was a string of fairy lights that illuminated his features that lifted in joy upon seeing you. a wicker basket was overflowing with snacks that dangled from his arm lazily. in his hand, he balanced two glasses and a bottle of champagne lodge under his armpit.

his eyes glistened like he was seeing you for the first time. edging slowly toward the blanket, he knelt and placed the items in front of you carefully. the wicker basket sat out of sight beside him as he pulled out an array of your favourite snacks – numerous variations of maki rolls, sticky rice, kimchi and your all-time favourite, cauliflower wings in different flavours.

“so what did you wish for?”

you pondered for a second – you were too distracted by seeing him for the first time in what felt like months to wish for anything.

“I don’t need to wish for anything. everything will come as it needs to, it all happens for a reason. what about you? what did you wish for?”

he looked up at you with sparkling eyes once more.

“happiness.” he paused. “for both of us.”

a warmth spread over your chest like molten lava cruising up the walls of a volcano. he had a way of doing this. he could say the most mundane thing and it was like your world had been set on fire. although you had only been together for two years, your love for one another began when you were in school together. your parents were best friends which ultimately granted you both the same path.

while your attention was on his last words, kevin had placed all types of snacks in front of you. the radiant colours that were spread in front of you echoed the words he always told you – healthy food, healthy mind.

his thoughtfulness never ceased to amaze you. the way he paid attention to intricate details that made his small gestures more meaningful.

he had wrapped the fairy lights that once hugged his body around the blanket which lit up your surroundings and highlighted his face with a golden glow.

you were biting into your last spicy avocado roll when kevin turned to you with a serious look that overtook his features as he took a sip of the bubbling liquid from the champagne flute.

“I take it all this time staring at a screen and being productive has made you a little forgetful, huh?”

from the basket behind him, he pulled out two homemade cupcakes that were decorated in dark chocolate icing. one had pale yellow cursive that read ‘happy birthday’ while the other had a small heart delicately drawn beside a single candle that kevin lit just as you realised what he was doing.

“happy birthday, my love.”

his smile was radiating as the flame flickered in the light breeze. you had completely lost track of time while immersed wholly in your project. you felt guilty that your boyfriend had gone through this effort when you had barely seen him in weeks.

your eyes filled with overwhelming tears as he gently nudged the cakes towards you in encouragement to blow out of the flame. you took a closer look at him to memorise this moment – the bright smile that adorned his features, the way his hair peaked out from under his beanie, the way the silver chains layering over his black sweatshirt were flickering in the light.

you wrapped your hands around his wrists to pull yourself toward him to lean closer to the cakes. closing your eyes, you pondered what to wish for. you had just told him only an hour ago that you didn’t need to wish for anything. but this time you didn’t want to be selfish – kevin became your whole world when you were only kids, and you wanted to give back to him.

you squeezed your eyes tightly as you blew out a quick breath toward the flame as you wished for every happiness for the boy in front of you, you wished for his dream of becoming a singer to come true, you wished for his goal to move to south korea to become a reality. you wished for everything you ever wanted for this man to come true.

as you opened your eyes, the glow from kevin’s face had disappeared but his face had come much closer to your own than it was before. his closeness showed that the glimmer of emotion in his eyes was overpowering as his dusty brown irises glistened close to your own.

he held your gaze with a cheeky smile on your face. “soooo, what did you wish for?”

you looked at him for a moment. in the years of your friendship and the few that you were together as a couple, he was so selfless when it came to you. moments like this made you realise how much he has done for you; he always paid attention and gave you everything you needed. your wish would be kept a secret between you and whoever was going to grant it. if he found out that you used your birthday wish on him, he would make you take it back and make another wish, selflessly.

“oh- you know. of course, a distinction on my project.” your eyes flickered across his face to see if he knew you were lying. but you were surprised when he leaned forward and placed a small peck of his lips on your nose. he quickly retreated and reached into his pocket.

“you don’t need a wish for that, silly – it’s already coming true, I know it!”

you scooted closer toward him with a slight nudge to his shoulder. “you’re the only one who has ever had faith in me, kev. thank you for tonight, I really needed it.”

as he turned his attention toward you, he snaked his arm around your waist to pull you closer and placed an envelope in your lap.

“what’s this?”

“it was the bucket list we made when we started college. I just wanted to give it to you today to remind you of all you’ve already done, and all you have left to come!”

you lifted your glass toward kevin and awaited a clink from his glass. moments like this didn’t come very often – a moment where it was just the two of you with no distractions apart from the slight muffling of a hooting owl.

“thank you kevin. I’ve loved tonight.”

the flip in your heart proved that no matter how much time passed or how many times he said it, you would never get used to the fact that this man loved you.

the blush that grew across your cheeks were lightly brushed by the palm of kevin’s hand. you brought your own hand up to graze his and intertwined your fingers with his. the warmth of his hand made the bitter evening more bearable.

“let’s go home.”

as you walked back to kevin’s car hand in hand, you fiddled with the dimly lit lights that kevin had wrapped around your body to ensure that he ‘didn’t lose you on the way back’. he stopped just outside of the passenger door to open it for you. he placed the wicker basket in the back with the empty containers and blanket before untwining the fairy lights from your body.

“you know… once you’ve checked off ‘picnic date with the best boyfriend in the world’ off your list, you should think about which one you should check off next. you can’t keep scrounging off me.”

he closed the door behind you as you got into the passenger seat leaving you dumbfounded. opening the envelope again, you looked for the next logical thing on the list.

I’m in the middle of finishing my project… I can’t move to south korea just yet…

as the driver’s door opened and your boyfriend got into the car chuckling, your gaze fell on the next check on your list:

My family and I went to the beach today which was great but also I don’t have any self control and the beach has pretty rocks soooo

I found these cute smol rocks

But of course I wasn’t done so I found two more. This time a bit bigger

And then three more

There were so many and I couldn’t just abandon them! So I picked an even larger one up

And this is where it got out of hand.. C’mon Birdie, you can’t even carry that many! You have spaghetti noodle arms!

I did say I have no self control and also this addition was so pretty I just had to take it

The Bowers Gang: How the Guys Would Behave Towards/Interact With a Mute Reader (Anonymous Request)

* In a scenario where the reader is mute, and uses a whiteboard to communicate.

* I had very little previous knowledge about this condition before writing this post, and apologize for any possible misrepresentations and/or factually incorrect details - any offense this post may cause is completely unintended.

* Any and all credit for this idea goes to the requestor.

Belch

Kind of doesn’t get the condition at first, but believes the person really has it without question (because trusting Huggins soul)

Doesn’t say much to the person until he sees the other guys feel them out, and he gets a sense of how they communicate

Finds it soooo cute that they talk through writing

Thinks the way the person holds up their whiteboard, and looks around the group to study everyone’s reactions to what they’ve said is the most adorable thing in the world

Often tries to react big, so the person feels like what they said was important, or at least got acknowledged

The king of pointing out that the person wrote something during times when group conversation is heated, and no one else notices (will not let his smol mute go unheard)

Kind of learns to love the person’s condition, because it makes it so they can talk to him in class without getting in trouble

Person usually writes something under their desk, pulls the whiteboard out from under it a little so Belch can see, and glances over to watch his reaction

Has to stifle his laughter 8/10 times to keep himself from interrupting the lecture

Loves using the whiteboard for long-distance communication (*Yells across cafeteria* “Do you want any chocolate pudding?! I’m getting some!” *Person holds up whiteboard* “Vanilla?! No problem!”)

Essentially becomes best friends with the person because they’re just kindred souls

It may not make sense to you, but it makes sense in Belch’s heart, and that’s all that matters

Henry

Kind of weirded out by it at first (because unfamiliar)

100% believes it’s just an act for the first few weeks of knowing the person

Tries to “trick” them into responding to things by asking open-ended questions (“Can’t think of anything to do today… ” *Looks pointedly at reader* “Any ideas, y/n?”)

Sees the condition as more legit, and stops trying to “out” the person after the first few months of hanging out with them (but still can’t help asking a suspicion-fueled question once in a while, just in case)

Is low-key dyslexic, and struggles to keep up when he has to read the person’s whiteboard

Isn’t close with them for a long while because of it, but eventually starts to really like them

Perceives the person as gentle, and somewhat lamb-ish

… because how can you not perceive a completely silent human as gentle and somewhat lamb-ish?

Starts to spend a lot of alone-time with them

Often rants to them/vents to them about his Father, because they’ll do literally nothing but listen (and, in his mind, don’t possess the ability to tell anyone)

Usually communicates with them via facial expressions and gestures, because he’s such a slow reader

Essentially, develops the “just know what one another is thinking” type of connection with them - not much intimate sharing on the mute person’s part (at first), but they come to understand Henry deeply, and he feels that

Becomes one of the healthiest, most positive relationships in his life

So many new doors opened when the person realizes they can start communicating with Henry through pictures

Patrick

Believes the person from the start more than anyone else in the group (mainly because he’s much smarter than he puts off, and knows it’s a real condition), but still tries to get them to talk a few times

Mainly by pissing them off to the point where they’re ready to explode (i.e. The Hockstetter Effect), and/or by trying to make them laugh out loud with jokes

… Also sometimes creeps up behind them/jumps out of doorways in front of them in an attempt to make them scream

Eventually decides their condition is legit, and gives up on trying to disprove them

But absolutely insists he would be able to make them scream if he got them in bed

... never specifies whether it would be a scream of pain or pleasure

Always reads the person’s whiteboard super fast so he can be the first one to respond to what they said

Because of that, tends to dominate conversation with the person when they’re within the group (very much against their will)

Finds it hilarious to wipe the person’s whiteboard clean immediately after they finish writing something really long

Literally just thrives off of slapping his hand on the whiteboard and erasing what they wrote as soon as they turn it towards the group, and watching the rage build up on their face as they hurriedly rewrite it

Will sometimes take the person’s whiteboard, write what he wants on it, and try to pass it off as the mute person saying it (*Holds up the whiteboard with a big “Fuck you” written on it, yells to a random guy across the cafeteria, and points at mute person* “Hey, dude! You have a message!” *Obnoxious Hockstetter cackle as person tries to snatch whiteboard back*)

Sometimes takes the person’s whiteboard and makes them “agree” with him when they really didn’t (“Hey, you guys want to go to Bassey later?” *Person starts to write no - takes whiteboard, writes yes, and tosses it back to the person* “Chilly Willy’s on board.” *Ultra-annoying Hockstetter chuckle*)

Also replaces the person’s whiteboard marker with a sharpie at least once a month

So… yeah. Mainly just likes to steal/fuck with the person’s whiteboard

Also turned on by their novelty though, and would absolutely make an aggressive pass at them if they were left alone together

Pro tip: Don’t be left alone with him

If you’re mute (i.e. legit can’t scream for help or say stop), you know where that would lead

Victor

Doesn’t fully believe the person at the start, but doesn’t want to test them just in case

Designated by Henry as the official reader of the whiteboard, and usually reads what the person writes out loud for the group

Low-key really gets into it, and tries to put the right inflection on things to convey the person’s personality (tries to read jokes the way the person would say them, takes on a serious tone when they’re writing about personal problems, etc.)

Basically one of the person’s best friends in the group from the get-go

Gets their whiteboard back for them when Henry and Patrick steal it (which happens every single day)

... Seriously, it looks so mean - they laugh and pass it back and forth to one another while the extremely distressed reader keeps making grabs for it

But they’re always saved by Victor, because permanent knight in shining armor

Buys the person a brand new set of multi-colored markers, so they can add a flair of emotion to what they write

Talks with them all the time

Has no trouble reading quickly, and loves waiting to see what the person’s written when they’ve taken a long time to write it

Mostly because that means it’ll be deep, and Criss lives for substance

Like Henry, spends a lot of alone time with them

Ends up knowing their true personality better than anyone else, and genuinely appreciates them for who they are

Hello bub! I was fast today! My kitty is great; very lively and playful. Wednesday the vet got 3 out. And tomorrow she’s going back to take the last one. We’re gonna sedate her, cause (as the vet said) she’s the Rosemary baby. Such a smol bean, yet so powerful. I received great news: the abscess was nothing to be worried. Just a very deep inflammation. About the surprise, I’m gonna send tomorrow hahaha I felt very inspired that day. Sorry I didn’t make it clear. Love you! 😘🧀

i've never been in love but i love reading about people falling in love too! i'm almost 20 and i have mixed feelings about it haha. i'm not too stressed because my idea of love now is a lot healthier and perhaps more realistic than if i would have fallen in love at a younger age. with mental health struggles all through high school my brain didn't have room nor time. on the other hand i think i'm craving it a bit more now that it doesn't feel impossible anymore. but it's scary!

You're young and smol my friend, you have many great experiences ahead of you! I'd put a heart here but i've noticed tumblr eats my replies whenever i do that. I'm married to a person i met when i was 23. Back then i thought i was already pretty experienced relationship wise. I'd even managed to have lived with a boyfriend for about three years at that point. But looking back i was soooo young. Just today we were like jesus we've been in this relationship since we were kids. At 19 i was convinced i was doomed to be alone for all eternity. Like wtf! I was 19!

Love is great and love is good, if you want it. But never feel like you have to rush into it! It's great to know what's good for you and what feels right! Consume those healthy otps and realise you deserve nothing less! I completely ignored this wisdom in my youth because i was desperate to find someone and ended up going through a string of shitty experiences and forcing myself to be someone i'm not. It took me a while to realise that if they don't love me, it's not because i'm doing something wrong. They'll never love me because they just don't. You can't really change it or force it. Love just happens. Now i'm glad none of them wanted to be with me in the end because i would've suffocated myself trying to please these people.

I'm super happy for you for all the amazing improvement on your mental health! You seem to have a good head on your shoulders and approach the subject way more maturely than my desperate self ever did. I'm excited for you! I'm not going to claim that life without romantic love is empty or less fullfilling. That's just complete lies brought to you by Disney and their kind. But for me personally the experience of falling in love is something i'll never forget. If only i could go back in time for a day, i would! Just to have that all-consuming rush in my veins one more time. And then I'd come back real fast because there's a reason our brains can't remain in the falling in love phase forever, haha. So when i think about people who will get to experience that in the future, i can't help but feel excited for them. It can be scary, but it's worth it to take the plunge if it feels like something you might want, i think.

im pretty upset

little disclaimer, if youre totally over hearing about the bts tour tickets, please continue away from this post bc im so upset that i cant help but rant about it and i feel like none of my friends truly understand how deeply hurt i am by this entire experience.

now, i completely understand the rise in popularity that bts has gained and how theyre practically one direction. getting tickets were going to be a big big struggle. i knew that. however, i watched many bts ticket tip videos, so you could imagine how prepared i was for today. I had transferred more than 250 into my bank account on sat, i made sure i was 20 minutes before the countdown. I had my 5 devices open with 2 different accounts per ticketmaster and powerhouse. On top of that, my two other friends had 3 devices and 2 devices, respectively, looking for any ticket as well.

however, from 4pm to 5:15 pm, the 3 of us with a total of 10 different devices/mutiple accounts could not find a single ticket (one of my friends got a ticket once, but had released it in hopes to possibly find a better one). I was closely monitoring every device, every account. I had come up with zero, NO TICKETS, at all! i couldnt even get the sheer chance to obtain a ticket.

im going onto my 3rd kpop concert and while the recent monsta x ticket sales were similar to this experience, i still managed to get 3 tickets after 30 mins. ive never had this happen before, where i couldnt even get a single ticket for two different websites on multiple devices with multiple accounts like what the actual fuck

im soooo soooo incredibly deeply truly devastated. i cried in the car when the 3 of us drove out to get in n out right after bc we were just so disappointed. we’ve waited 5 years for bts to come close to our city and actually being able to go. we watched their ireomun jungkook asses grow from smol no more dream thugs to the glowin bad bitches they are now. so you really could imagine how upset and how infuriated i am that people who don’t even know their names get a ticket . or how people who don’t even live in my city or near the city of the venue have a ticket when there is a concert location in their own city gets a ticket for my city’s venue.

are you fcking joking me? why go if you dont even know them? why go “just for the hype” ? why go when you dont even live here and you have a concert date for your city? don’t even get me started on the resellers/scalpers. people that are out there selling it for 2000 or twice it’s value, are cynical assholes. idk about yall, but trying to manipulate me to giving you money for my favorite group is fucking low. esp for young fans out there that just want to see their faves in real life. and while bts is worth the world to me, im not dumb enough to pay 2000$ on a 250$ ticket. if it was officially 250, then that’s what im fucking paying.

and ya, the excuse is that some people are trying to make money from those tickets or theyre reselling bc they need the money. okay... but ... sweaty.... youre literally taking money that is 3x the original price from dedicated, desperate fans.... idk..... how you have a good conscious for doing that to someone... if u need to make money... how about... idk.. a suggestion ... but.. get.. a ... job..?..... work for your...... money.... like .... everyone.... else???....... just a fucking thought....

this is much longer than i had anticipated it to be and i have more to say but i dont want to bore u with the same things yall r probably already hearing about ;;;

and ik there are some countries where yall dont even have a concert date and how i should feel lucky theyre coming near me at all. like yes ofc im lucky af and i am grateful, but at this point, id rather them not come at all so i dont have to suffer knowing that theyre 15 mins away in oracle arena and i couldnt find a single ticket and theyre performing pied piper and jimin is doing those dangerous body rolls that i will never get to experience with my own two eyes and ill just have to sit home when i KNOW theyre a city away

im just rlly rlly sad that i managed to get nothing for oakland... nothing.. absolutely zero tickets for a 19,000 capacity venue. for my babies.. im sorry i wont see you for another very very very long time ):

something new? + some thoughtz

just like always, i started my day (January 12) overthinking. but as the day progressed, it turned out nice naman :) and i could say, i’m kind of proud of myself today.

morning pa lang andami ko na agad iniisip, to the point na i felt so dejected na binalak ko na lang matulog ulit buong hapon after kumain para lang takasan yung utak ko. nakahiga na ko’t lahat, ready na ako matulog ulit, at pinatugtog ko na yung sleeping playlist ko lol. but for some reason, parang may part sa akin na ayoko sayangin yung araw ko. for some reason, parang gusto kong maging productive this day. for some reason, parang may gusto akong baguhin sa araw ko (kasi araw-araw na lang akong tulog pag hapon after kumain zzz). so ayun, i got up, grabbed my kalimba and decided to learn to play the chorus of my most favorite piano piece, Canon in D. short part lang naman, so after how many tries, mga around 10 minutes siguro yun more or less, ay naplay ko na siya! though sumasablay pa rin minsan pero memorize ko na yung keys hehe. tas navideo ko din yung process slight ng pag play ko at nakuha sa video yung first no-mistake play ko!!! i was really happy because of that, like na-feel kong nag shoot up yung serotonin ko kasi naman finally!! mapplay ko na sa isang instrument yung favorite kong piece na matagal ko nang gustong iplay sa piano (kaso di ako marunong mag piano. sad). kaya lumabas ako ng kwarto para iparinig sa kuya ko hahahaha tapos he clapped!!! and that really made me happier lol kaya ayun, nagka gana akong gumalaw. sa sobrang saya ko dahil dun (oo dahil talaga sa Canon in D yun hahahaha shet), ito ang ilan sa mga nagawa ko today:

smol tings lang naman, di naman extraordinary. pero medyo nakakaproud pa rin kasi literally my depression made me soooo unmotivated to the point na kahit yung mga bagay na nae-enjoy kong gawin dati (gaya nitong pagsusulat dito sa tumblr) at pagtulong dito sa bahay ay di ko na nagagawa kasi sobrang pagod ng buong pagkatao ko (mentally at emotionally na nagmamanifest physically) and the exhaustion makes me not want to leave my room and just sleep all day (forever pa nga).

but today, i tried to counter it all. i tried to get up and do stuff that made me forget about every worry i have momentarily. ngayon, andito ako, nagtatype nito, enjoying the background music and the sound of the keyboard while i’m typing. i feel so at the moment right now, which is somehow new to me, after all the breakdowns and the episodes i went through all these months na puro past at future yung iniisip ko.

today, although that shitty feeling is slowly creeping in again, i just want to tell myself that i did well. i did well today. you did well today, dana. you deserve a pat on the back. haha. and a hug. but no one’s going to hug you so you hug yourself. lol. it’s okay. you’ll be okay. you did well today. you did well.

gusto ko lang din isingit na hindi din naman dumaan ang araw na ‘to na hindi ko siya inisip. lagi siyang nasisingit. kanina gusto ko ibalita sa kanya na naligo na si Dory at Koda. andami kong gustong ikwento sa kanya pero di ko magawa haha hanggang check na lang ako sa telegram kung online ba siya. maraming beses ko din siyang naabutang online sa telegram. kaso di ko magawang i-message kasi baka maumay o mainis o mairita kasi ang kulit ko, tas mas lalo pa akong lalayuan. ayoko naman nun. ito na nga lang connection ko sa kanya baka mawala pa hahahaha syempre di ko din maiwasan na mag overthink pa rin sa gitna ng araw kong medyo maganda na ang daloy. iniisip ko, sino kaya ka-chat niya sa telegram? hahaha. may bago na kayang nagpapasaya sa kanya? tinitingnan niya din kaya yung convo namin? nagbabackread din kaya siya? or in-archive niya na convo namin (or worse, dinelete)??? andaming questions, sobrang curious ko. pero hinayaan ko na lang at nagpatuloy sa araw ko, doing stuff and listening to classical music just to distract myself from all these thoughts. kasi wala naman akong magagawa. inisip ko din, ipipilit ko pa ba sarili ko? o hayaan ko na siyang magdesisyon kung anong gusto niyang mangyari sa amin? kasi ako, klaro namang gusto ko, pero baka ayaw niya talaga, eh ayoko naman na i-pressure siya o ano. hahayaan ko na lang ba muna? will i just let time flow? will i leave it to her, and to fate/destiny (if there’s such thing)? ayun lang naman yung inoverthink ko today. mga tanong na di ko alam kung makukuha ko ba yung sagot, o kung may sagot ba talaga.

and habang sinusulat ko ‘to, siya pa rin ang nasa isip ko. hahahahaha iniisip ko naman ngayon, kung nalaman niya yung ginawa ko buong araw, magiging proud din kaya siya? kasi medyo hindi ako nagpakain sa demons na meron ako sa utak ko today. hindi ako nagpatalo. sinubukan kong labanan, and seeing how i’m feeling proud of myself, tingin ko nalabanan ko naman siya haha.

to you: proud ka ba sa akin? i hope i also made you proud. i hope you’re doing well, too. i miss you everyday.

so hmm, ayun lang naman? it’s already 1:41 am, sinusubukan ko na rin ayusin yung sleeping schedule ko, so maybe i’ll go to sleep na hahaha i think i can sleep naman kasi medyo pagod din ako. di ako natulog ng hapon eh nakz hahaha

ah pota shuta ipopost ko na sana pero nakita ko yung pill box ko tas bigla kong naalala na may nakalimutan akong gawin today at yun ay INUMIN ANG GAMOT KO AKJSHDKAJSDHAJKSHDAKJH SORRY SA LAHAT!!!!!!!!!!! T_T bukas pramis di ko na kakalimutan!!!!!!!!!1 T_T
