dps boys hcs! this has been requested of me! lets make it modern bc thatll be fun

- todd absolutely DESPISES "booktok" and its addiction to smut. can go on a VERY long rant abt how only reading things with sex scenes is, in fact, a porn addiction.

- knox has tried on many occasions to become an influencer, failing every single time and blaming it on the algorithm or whaver

- neil, type of mother fucker to not be on social media like at all. has one private instagram that he posts on maybe twice a year, and has a tiktok only to watch the videos todd intermittently sends him.

- ^^^ followed immediately by a text saying "i sent you a tiktok go look at it" which always sparks a mini argument about whether or not its easier to just save the video and text it to him. goes nowhere every time.

- meeks has fashion taste that makes him look insufferable, band tee's and the worst jeans you ever did see, exclusively. also modern meeks would have clear glasses frames.

- saw someone say charlie would vape, id like to add to that. has a COLLECTION of elf bars, its vast, its colourful, it's annoying, it's turning his coughs wet.

- pitts was a fast fashion guy for a total of 6 months before finding out all the shit about how unethical the industry is. didnt get rid of any of those clothes bc thats wasteful but he IS fighting for his life whenever anyone looks at his wardrobe.

- cameron is a BIG analog horror fan, local 58, walten files, fnaf tapes, thats his jam. can we popularise cam being a big horror fan in general bc im so attached to that hc. horror cam i love u.

- all the boys have a life360 circle (enforced by cam and pitts due to charlie's horrendous reckless driving) and todd CONSTANTLY needs to be yelled at the charge his phone.

- neil's phone is ANCIENT, had the same one for nearly a decade, and its evident. has a bigass crack right down the middle, the back is shattered and held together with tape, a phone case, and a dream. theres marks from shit burning into the screen, most notably a rectangle in the bottom corner from the billions of facetime calls with todd that ultimately set his phone on fire every time.

- todd is secretly a grade A yapper but ONLY in digital form. his online presence is VAST, but impressively anonymous. has a very active substack, letterboxd, poetry tumblr, and even started his own blog. no, not a tumblr blog, a blog blog.

- charlie's car is decked out in the most idiotic add ons that you can think of. comically large mirror dice, a bumper sticker that says "honk if you want me bad", stupid car door lights that project a photo of jimmy fallon onto the ground when u open them, the whole 9 yards. took neil, pitts, and cameron 20 minutes to talk him out of getting flame decals (as a bit.)

- knox refuses to play any other videogame besides GTA, which he plays concerningly often. if ur having trouble reaching him then odds are hes on GTA. its the only hobby of his that his parents know about. christmas is tough for the overstreets.

- meeks is well aware of his general ☝️🤓 demeanour so he started making jokes about it before anyone else can. any time he says anything remotely smart sounding then he MUST do the voice and put up a finger. it became a force of habit and he did it while talking to a teacher once, he left the room mortified.

- pittsie lives on spotify, he has a playlist for every possible emotion, over 3k liked songs, and 200k+ minutes listened when wrapped season rolls around. additionally he does every spotify stat game available, and forced the boys to download a spotify activity widget thing. (WHAT DO YALL KNOW ABT AIRBUDS ‼️‼️ add me @ monahatesya xoxo)

- cam loves to make jokes about DARE and the "this is ur brain on drugs" ads but he is, in fact, the main demographic of said ads. said this before, saying it now, will most definitely say it again, he is beyond susceptible to peer pressure. marijuana isnt a gateway drug for everyone but it certainly is for him.

- chris is avoiding the lesbian masterdoc purely out of fear. not out of fear of being gay, but out of fear of the sheer amount of subsequent other things she'll likely also have to find out about herself.

- keating spends an inordinate amount of time on youtube, which nobody actually expects. big video essay fan, imagine the shock from the boys when he pulls up youtube for a lesson and he's halfway thru the 4 hour iBinged iCarly video. was previously a james somerton fan but considering... the james somerton part.. hes now a defunctland loyalist.

let me tell you a very funny (slightly embarrassing) story that happened last week!!

so i was helping the english department at my school clean out their big and very outdated literature study books bc im best friends with all of them duh

anyway . im casually oohing and aahing at every book i see and stealing whatever poetry book i can find that they dont want anymore

until i come across this small pocketsized book! its teal and the spine is cracked and from afar the big S on the cover and the teal colour makes it look like fucking. Shrek. so naturally i was like ???? A SHREK PLAY???

and so i picked it up bc a gal got curious!! and i look closer and it turns out to be Henry IV part 1! and bc i cant keep my big mouth shut i yelled "OH M GOD ISNT THIS THE TOM HIDDLESTON PLAY???" and the entire office went. Quiet.

And they all turned to look at me. mind you these are women who ARE in Tom's age range so they pretty much grew up with his work!!! and ofc they KNOW him its tom hiddleston. and one of them was like " the??? the tom hiddleston play??" and trying to save my dignity (not that im embarrassed but also kind of) i was like yeah ? didnt tom hiddleston play in this?? to try and keep myself casual like no what im not an obsessed fan hello im So Normal about him!! i could feel my face burst into fucking flames bc how do i explain to these women that im obsessed with his work while they look at me like they know I read fanfiction (like THEY DONT. THEY DO. I KNOW THEY DO. BC THEY ALWAYS MENTION IT.)

and so then. the entire fucking department spent the day picking up whatever stupid Shakespeare book they can find and saying really loudly IS THIS A TOM HIDDLESTON PLAY?? and i guess they ALL assume now the ONLY WAY I KNOW ANY ENGLISH LITERATURE is through Tom Hiddleston.

absolutely embarrassing. but i got to keep the book so WHATEVER.

but oh my god i think a part of my pride died that day. it was REALLY FUNNY but oh my god. no i DO know english literature i JUST HAPPEN TO KNOW THAT TOM HIDDLESTON PLAYED IN A FEW OF THEM!!! leave me ALONE.

i cannot believe i had to out myself like that. no actually i dont care but its the fact that these women KNOW the sort of stuff going on out there i am 90% sure some of them HAVE WRITTEN FANFICTION BEFORE and i had to sit there and act like i didnt just finish reading the most filthy panty melting smut of some tom hiddleston character. like hello. oh my god. it was funny but also horrifying.

anyway so now the whole department knows me by association to The Tom Hiddleston Play and a) oh my fucking god but b) cant help but giggle a little if they MUST know i AM Crazy abt him and his work idc WHAT they say (they act like they dont have friday movie nights where they watch whatever play he's got.)

KAZUHA - THE GEOGUESSER PRO

of course the wanted criminal knows all about geography. (and poetry of course too, but well get to that later)

doesnt matter where in the world he is plopped down in, kazuha knows exactly where he is, and hes quick about it too.

competes in geoguessr tournaments too and often wins with ease.

hes the type to do google maps speedruns as well, and none of his friends are nearly as good as he is.

if youre ever lost somewhere, just send kazuha a pick of your surroundings on twitter, and hes sure to find your cross streets soon enough!

“you said how i got your address…? dont even worry about that bro.”

youre literally just there to distract kazuha, if im being entirely honest.

oh, hes 1 guess away from a 50 state streak ? not if you can do anything about it. especially if he had a penalty set up for getting answers wrong.

he has called you a pest multiple times, but its out of love <3 i dont genuinely think he could ever get mad at you for real, hes very calm all the time.

he also likes to share poetry! on the days you (lovingly) annoy him he likes to write funky lil haikus about how annoying you are <3 isnt that sweet?

pretend for a second that hes not a character in the game, or even better yet, he voice acts one of the characters. venti never shuts up about how good his team comp is and how he always manages to get the characters he wants. (secretly hes just spending a LOT of money.)

character build reviews but hes actually pretty nice about it! sometimes there will be a build that he cannot physically say anything good about and its entertaining, so chat started sending in builds that were purposely bad just to get reactions out of him LMAO.

adventure rank 60, no doubt about it.

the most annoying co-op player. oh you wanted to be that character? too bad, now hes going to play them and hes got a better build too, guess you should switch <3

SOOO many unfinished quests yet he complains he has nothing to do. (guilty)

“go touch grass? im a genshin player… what is that supposed to mean?”

venti loves telling the story of how you two met in genshin co-op. you on the other hand.. well you wish he would stop talking about it every stream you appear in.

lots of streams together! he wont wish for a character without you, he claims youre his good luck charm. (he loses most of the 50/50s.)

will help you do any quest! as long as he wants to, and its one that he knows how to do. so maybe not ANY quest, but hes trying his best.

he may be annoying with strangers in co-op domains, but any character you want to play you can. no questions asked, hell switch immediately.

he does more damage than you but hell still say that you did all the hard work and hes proud of you <3

ITTO - THE FORTNITE STREAMER

“wow you did so much damage just now, you absolutely carried me! thank you, i love you. :)”

the best part about itto being a fortnite streamer is hes not even good at the game.

he tries his best, really he does. but somehow those cracked 12 year olds have got him beat.

has spent an embarrassing amount of money on the game, but you can tell how much he appreciates every item hes acquired.

plugs his creator code CONSTANTLY. hes gotta make that money hes spent back somehow!

whenever he has a really bad loss he just blames it on stream sniping because he can. yeah i basically turned him into ninja, whoops!

“oh my god bro again? you know what, reported for stream sniping!”

you and itto are truly a dynamic duo. youre actually decent at the game and hes entertaining to watch.

chat loves when you play duos games together, and you both do too! (even though hell take all the credit if you win.)

his favorite item is the chug cannon, mostly because he wants to make sure youre full health and shield at all times <3

has made many sacrifices of his characters life in you honor, even if you still dont end up winning, you appreciate it.

lots of moments from his streams have been clipped and put into funny moments montages and they all go straight to his neverending ego.

THOMA - THE VARIETY STREAMER

i couldnt see thoma sticking to one main category, i feel like every stream hes doing something new, and hes somehow pretty good at anything he tries out.

his commentary is really what gets people to stick around for his content, he can make anything sound interesting.

think of him as a steamer like rtgame! hes got really fun sims and hitman series, games you dont think could be made funny, but then he does and its overall a really great time.

hes got so many inside jokes from all the games hes played, youve got to be there for every stream otherwise you miss out heavily.

nobody even knew what he looked like for awhile because he didnt have a facecam, but once he started using one his viewers went up by 100k, no joke.

“where is that from? oh, its an inside joke, you probably wouldnt get it.”

thomas viewers are literally so jealous of you. youve pulled the ultimate man right there.

honestly i dont see you appearing on his steams much other than for the occasional mario party game.

i feel like since you never really appear most of his viewers didnt even know you two were dating until those random streams happen. everytime it does twitter goes wild with “THOMA HAS A S/O?” and half the replies are also freaking out while the other half is like “you didnt know?” its a mess every time.

most likely youre in thomas chat instead of in the room, and you tend to instigate chat into spamming emotes a lot and getting it turned to sub only mode. its honestly pretty funny.

one time you walked into his room to ask if he wanted mcdonalds and he was watching paint dry. this had been going on for 4 hours. you didnt ask questions.

“the hoes gonna love this.”

SHENHE - THE CALL OF DUTY PLAYER

i think call of duty lobbies are the only place on earth that can handle shenhe if shes genuinely angry.

shes a toxic gamer for sure, dont get on her bad side.

shes gotten pretty good at the game too, shes one of those people who buys the new game everytime one comes out instead of just playing the same version.

chongyun will make appearances at times, they played mario party together once and it was hilarious. (for the viewers at least, maybe not chongyun though LMAO)

chongyun won and she 1v1ed him in nuketown right afterwards. (hes never won against shenhe again)

“everybody gangsta til chongyun is in the lead.”

chat doesnt understand how you can handle shenhe half the times, but truthfully she just has her own way of expressing her emotions.

for example, she broke one of your controllers playing once, and she drove her ass to best buy at almost midnight to go get you a new one, along with a note saying nothing but “sorry :(“ in the prettiest handwriting youve ever seen.

sometimes you even make her angry on purpose just because its funny, and you know no matter how much it may look like it, she could never get mad at you.

i know i said shenhe was a cod streamer, but imagine also playing apex with her alright? definitely a loba main, and shes literally just as toxic on here as she is on call of duty.

probably has had 3 xbox accounts banned already.

I thought I'd redo this by giving Harry a huge buff, assuming all his stats are at their maximum efficiency.

Max Stats Harry is an Incredibly Unstable Detective God. He is incredibly smart, able to make complex calculations quickly, act and lie with ease, and call upon random useless facts, but also totally blinded by his genius, constantly side-tracked by art and poetry, and compelled to lie for pretty much no reason. He is a master of his and others' emotions, in control of himself through almost any situarion, excluding ones to do with his ex-wife, feel others' emotions acutely, see the future, talk to the dead, and manipulate almost anyone to do what he wants, though this causes him to seem insane, and feel compelled to abuse this power. He's an ex-gym teacher, fast, strong, able to take any physical pain, excluding exposure to the pale, in touch with his instincts, and really likes drugs, but also really likes drugs, and feels compelled to threaten people and destroy things for no real reason. He has the steadiest of hands, can react instantly, pick up on the most invisible of senses, put up a tough facade, understand machines intimately, and is really, really cool, but is also incredibly jumpy and egotistical, and unable to open up emotionally.

He's really, really not okay emotionally, as the strain of knowing so much, hearing so much, feeling so much is killing him. He can take the pain, and he can force himself to get up and detect every day, but the pain is still there. All it takes is one fuck-up, one reminder of his wife, one crack in his tough exterior, and he'll want to go and kill himself. For the sake of making the fight more fair, Harry is equipped with his pistol and 6 bullets, and the full set of Fairweather T-500 Vitreous Enamel armour.

As for God Tier Vriska, it's Vriska, in all her broken, piece of shit mass murderer glory. Flight via the use of some kind of pixie wings, semi-immortality excluding just or heroic deaths, probability manipulation, and mind control. Outwardly, Vriska appears cold, and like a massive 8itch. She mocks everyone, attacls everyone, kills everyone, all with the same asshole grin on her face. Her persona is that of someone with the utmost confidence in herself, someone heartless and vile, cruel and mocking, someone who enjoys killing, but not before squeezing every last bit of suffering out of her victims. With her mind control also comes mind reading. She is privy to what others feel and why and uses it to her advantage. However, on the inside, if I am understanding her correctly, Vriska is actually a rather insecure and broken teenage girl. She kills first to feed her giant spider guardian thing, and second because its part of her persona, the kind of person she has come to idolize as an Alternian. A cold blooded killer. In reality, she derives no real pleasure from any of her immoral acts. They serve only to drown out her insecurity. She's canonically a rapist, mind controlling the wimp boy into kissing her only to throw him aside when it makes her feel nothing. The most profound experience she ever had was when, shortly before her death, she reflects on the time she killed said wimp boy. She actually felt bad, which was something she didn't understand. She couldn't figure out why she killed someone she actually liked. Vriska is also a horrible strategist. She's impulsive and quick to act on emotion, driven solely by her urge to be in total control, and to appear powerful. This causes her to be tricked by Cue Ball Man into killing someone she was mad at, and into creating an unbeatable foe, simply so she could gain the noteriety of killing him herself. In short, she's a profoundly broken and empty monster, driven solely by an endless pit of insecurity, given unreasonable amounts of power she isnt able to use to the best of her ability.

Elena's main hobby/passion is writing. Literature has always been something that she really enjoyed and an outlet for her emotions. She specifically likes writing poetry!

Narrative writing is also something she enjoys, writing from a POV and telling a story whether it be fictional or non-fictional

So ofcourse, she loves reading. She'll read almost anything you give her and enjoy it. Genres she mostly enjoys are, poetry, fiction/non-fiction, drama and romance.

But if you give her anything she'll more than likely appreciate it

Knitting! She clearly loves creating and making her ideas a reality so she picked up knitting! She still has a lot to learn but she has a good grasp of a few techniques. It's a really relaxing activity to her 🤍

Archery is another thing she enjoys doing! She gets better at it as she gets older but she was taught how to use a bow n arrow from a young age. Her fighting style doesn't really implement a bow n arrow but she atleast has the knowledge needed to use one!

i want to share my poetry...

but i dont wanna be the next Pinterest-no-name when i have already spent most of my life not having an identity of my own or a name to put to a clean-slate face for the strangers that stare at me in inquiry and judgment, silently putting me to shame.

i want to write songs and sing them for bleeding hearts, but im too afraid to make their ears bleed the same pain; with the way my voice breaks in these emotions, those that are better reserved for the bottle i keep inside my head, the one thats overflowing, only opened with the bottle that sits beside my bed.

im a child to everyone. until im the only one who has the voice of authority, and then suddenly im a mother to others emotions when i can barely cradle my own in my arms to calm the palpitations of pressure that i constantly stack upon myself, expecting maturity from a child that i never had the chance to let go of, forced to quickly to be her lover when she was told no one could EVER love her-!

from inside this heart sick, love bled, strangled and wrung out body of mine

i want to share what lies inside, but what of the voices, the opinions, what if im just another tally on someone's decision, what if i cannot atone for the actions i, myself, can barley postpone, if someone else isnt strong enough to pick up the phone!

what if i leave their ears ringing...

when all i wanted was for someone besides a mother to hear me singing, my screaming!

the belting leaves my vocal cords swelling, i cannot help that i haven't had a home beside my own chest, carved out like a cavity, a cell for those who need somewhere dark to hide that isn't inside themselves- i cannot help you!

when i can barely be aloud to help myself.

so i leave the notes app closed, and my name will go unknown. my voice cracks while i read back, no one hears the tone as this drags out the last of my enegy, another entry of someone who's always going to be a nobody..

i wont cry out too loudly, i wont share any more then what might be "just too much", cause im overwhelming, im far too loud! i have a habbit of being too proud, too drowned in it! ive always been told to "keep quiet."

A cracked windshield and a thought to fix

Response

After the incredibly striking and informative talk we had regarding Glasgow's past in relation to tobacco lords and much more. The point of the brief was to see what you could draw upon for inspiration to then develop an idea. For example, it was a very wet day and everyone got soaked by the rain, therefore you could do a series about rain. Or, the guides touched upon Robert Burns poetry and the hidden meanings behind some of his work, therefore you could do a photo series on poetry.

My initial idea is to do something related to the rain as i had previously seen some images from the photographer Christophe Jacrot. His series ‘wet scotland’ was beautiful, he placed a plane of glass in front of the lens and allowed it to get very wet and then shoot landscapes with the glass in front of the lens to create a painterly effect, it was very reminiscent of the artist ‘monet’’s paintings, below i will include a mood-board.

I liked the idea of shooting concrete pavements or floors as you would get a really nice reflection from them whether it be traffic lights, car headlights or even if the clouds if it isnt over cast. But, the tricky part is finding a suitable surface that isnt too textured such as tarmac or tiles. If you look at the top right image on the mood board that is a prime example of the type of surface i would ideally like to find, something with little to no texture and holds the rain well.

Test shots -

I think my test shots came out alright despite quickly shooting them on my phone. But my biggest issue is was finding a suitable road or pavement with the texture i need, i looked around Glasgow’s city centre for a few hours and i couldnt find anything that suited my needs, i think this is reflective upon the engineering and design if glasgows and pavement, As you will know scotland gets very cold, therefore we need surfaces that can stand up to the cold and can stand up to the heat of the summer. Therefore we create textured and hard surfaces that re mixed in with small rock chips like the pavement above so that they wont crack or degrade over time.

But, if you look at the image of paris on the top right of my mood board, since its a hot climate most of the year their roads and pavement's can be smoother and less textured as it does not rain as often, therefore you can get the desired effect.

Idea change

Due to this i’m going to change my idea completely. I was reminded of an article that the bbc posted a while back which was discussing how during the george floyd protests in glasgow that activists had placed temporary street names below the usual large and old street names in the city centre. The temporary street names that were placed were named after famous political figures such as rosa parks and more recently named after Sheku Bayoh after he passed away due to an incident with the police.

The whole point of this activism was to educate people on why some streets were named after people and who these people were. For example, buchanan street was named after wealthy plantation owner and tobacco lord, Andrew Buchanan.

Id like to create an image or a few images that can symbolise peoples lack of knowledge when it comes to Glasgows past history and what it was a part of. For example, when i first read the article i was very surprised and intrigued about the history of these street names. When i spoke to others about this they also did not know about the meanings behind some of the street names or much about glasgows involvement with tobacco exports and plantation owners.

Plan -

I have decided to shoot two images that both show the lack of understanding and knowledge about glasgows past involvement with the tobacco lords and how alot of people dont know the hidden meaning behind some of the street names. My idea is to shoot a long exposure during the day on buchanan street and Cochrane street featuring the street name. I would like to include people and cars in the frame of them moving past the street name, obviously since it is a long exposure people will be blurry and lack any distinct features, this is to symbolise that it could be any member of the public that has the lack of awareness about the history of these streets.

Locations -

As i previously mentioned i will be shooting on Buchanan Street and Cochrane street, but one of the biggest keys is for the image to feature the large street sign thats typically plastered onto the wall of the opposing building. If i dont include the street name it defeats the purpose of the image and turns into a regular long exposure.

Where i have placed my marker is where i plan on shooting. This is because it is a very busy crosswalk which will alow me to capture a lot of people crossing and a few cars going by. But, the most important thing is that on one of the buildings, specifically the apple one it has a large sign that reads buchanan street.

This is the angle i plan on shooting from as on the side of city chambers features a large sign displaying the street name. I did have a walk around city chambers attempting to find other corners with the same streetname but this is the only suitable one i could find as it had a good amount of foot traffic.

Equipment -

Since i am doing a long exposure i will obviously require a tripod and since it is during the day i also plan on getting a variable ND filter from the college store. I do have my own filter but unfortunately it is a cheap one and decreases the sharpness of the image rather noticeably. lens wise i plan on using my 24-70 2.8 as it is variable zoom therefore i wont need to be swapping and changing lenses while im shooting. Im planning on using this lens not only for the variable zoom but for my equipment safety, im always mindful in using my expensive gear in public especially if i have a bag or two with me that i need to place somewhere.

Shooting -

After shooting for just over an hour i was able to gain the images i was after. Since it was such a simple image for both streets that i needed i had to make sure i nailed it. One of the biggest factors for me was making sure the framing was correct, baring in mind the street sign was the biggest highlight of the image. Secondly, i had to make sure i had the correct amount of blur. What i mean by this is that if i shot a 30 second exposure i would see very faint outlines of people if not see any of them at all. So dialling in the exposure time was pivotal to my success. I settled on an exposure time of 0.6s which was the perfect amount of time to get enough blur so that there i sno defining features on the subjects but also enough to still make out they were humans and to add a bit of shape to my image.

It was straightforward picking out what images i wanted, my final submission was going to be two images. What i was looking for was images that made the street sign the highlight of the whole image and for the people to be blurry but still retain some shape.

These are the two images that I have chosen to submit, these are out of camera raws with no edits. Obviously the images need some work such as straightening and cropping.

The reason why i have chosen these two as my finals is that they are both visually similar. What i mean by this is the main wall cuts off on the left of the frame in both images and both street signs are mounted on their respective buildings. I am very happy with how my human subjects turned out with the 0.6s exposure, this exposure time was the sweet spot for creating the look i was after.

Rejected Images -

Image 1 -

This image is a prime example of where the exposure time was far too long, in this case it was 10 seconds. By having the exposure time this long it has allowed unwanted highlights and textures in the road which is a bit too distracting and also the fact the buchanan street sign is too small in the image.

Image 2 -

I was thinking of shooting this series in landscape but the issue was that the street signs are roughly 30 feet off the ground. To get people and have the sign visible enough was near enough impossible, the framing would’nt create the composition i was after.

Image 3 -

This is a prime example of what i meant above, if i got closer to the sign i could fit in less people walking by. If i went further away, you wouldn’t be able to read the sign.

Editing -

So i tested out both of my final images in both colour and black and white and straight away i preferred black and white. This is because since both of the images are in the city centre there are a lot of colours and patterns which take away from the images a whole. By converting them to black and white i am able to shift the focus more onto the blurred human subjects and the street sign.

Conclusion / Evaluation -

Firstly I did find this brief overall quite tricky due to the open nature of the brief and how it comes down to how you interpreted the day. It was the idea that your images did not need to be on the topics that were discussed by the guides but it could also be on certain aspects of the day. In this case, some people concentrated on the rain as it was extremely wet that day and a lot of people got soaked. I was originally going to do my response project on the rain, but with reasons out with my control I was unable too. My rain idea was photographing the streets and roads just after it rained heavily so I could capture the myriad of colours and shadows on the ground, I was inspired by the great paintings of ‘Monet’ and how he captured water and interpreted shapes and colours. My second artist I used for inspiration was ‘Christophe Jacrot’, his often melancholic yet visually striking featured landscapes with a pane of glass over his lens which creates a watercolour painting effect. I then decided to change my idea as I could not get the proper effects and images I was after.

I changed my idea to two images that would symbolise the lack of understanding when it came to the history of Glasgow and what It was associated with. I would deem this idea successful as what I set out to achieve I managed to do. Which was create two images featuring peoples movement with a slow exposure which I meant to symbolise how people pass these streets daily and don’t know what the story is behind them and since the subjects are blurred out due to the exposure time it symbolises that the subjects could be anyone, it could be you or even your friends due to the subjects in the image having no defining features.

Overall I would deem this project to be challenging at times regarding coming up with a suitable idea or response to the brief. I think I struggled to come up with an idea as I previously said was due to how open ended the brief was. If I was to go back and redo the brief I would re-visit where we had the tour in order to visually see the statues and cathedral again to gain an idea of what could be done.

In terms of shooting I am happy with the results I came out with as they for the inspiration I was previously looking at. It didn’t take much time actually shooting in the streets to create two images I was pleased about, I deem this to be due to the fact I did a lot of planning in my online workbook to figure out what streets would work the best, I also went for a look around the streets and surrounding areas for suitable angles and potential compositions.

Random azz headcanons!!

an: in one whole day i’ve been told i may have covid, my wallet got stolen (tho they only took my bank card and id), my car wouldn’t start and i got bad news but honestly this was just a normal day for me!! (i literally have the worst luck it’s almost funny) anyways i thought of stupid social media headcanons.. this is mainly just crack !! :)

•the ADA have game nights and sometimes play among us (rarely because if Ranpo plays he just calls an emergency meeting and calls out the imposter, “Atsushi your leg is shaking..” so it’s only when he’s too sleepy to join.) If Dazai and Kunikida get imposter duo Dazai will accuse Kunikida immediately but not even for the kill he’ll just say he vented in front of him, which then in turn causes kunikida to start yelling that it's him. •Ranpo once found Poe’s myspace from when he was 16 and proceeded to almost bust a lung at all the edgy poetry and how he called his followers his “Ravens” The best part though, was the profile picture. As if Ranpo hadn't humiliated him enough he printed it out and framed it on his work desk. Poe just about passed out seeing the very photo that haunted his memories sitting on his rivals desk for everyone to see-- Poe in a black hoodie, hood pulled up with one eye covered. The word “pain” was edited across the photo in gothic, cursive looking font.

•Mark Twain loves the song Breakeven by The Script. (this isnt social media but so fucking important.)

•If it weren't for opposing sides Chuuya and Mark would be best friends. Chuuya loves his adventurous attitude and thinks the guy is just really awesome. They would have sleepovers where they would sing songs like Fuck You by Ceelo Green and Gives You Hell by All-American Rejects. Chuuya always posts them belting the lyrics on his story on snapchat and when people from the Port Mafia slide up and say something along the lines of “uhhh? This is sus..” Chuuya sends back a huge paragraph on how they are just jealous they don't have an amazing best friend like he does, and that they should be careful, he's still their superior.

•Yosano constantly is fighting with racists and bigots on facebook and will always talk to Atsushi about it for hours. He's awkward but thankful that she keeps him informed. She's very good at arguing and will rip apart disrespectful men when given the chance but has a hard time fighting women. When it comes to fighting a woman she will recruit Ranpo to sit over her shoulder and give her advice on what to say. Some of the things will warrant a light smack to the head.

•Mori’s most used app is Turbo Tax and nobody knows why.

•Oda loves to leave long in depth reviews for items he's purchased, he doesn't even try to be funny but sometimes Dazai sends him screenshots saying “Is this your review?”

•Gin, Tachihara and Hirotsu all downloaded Life 360 and have fun tracking where each other are. All of them have labeled the Port Mafia headquarters as “Hell”. Also Tachi and Hirotsu would get so confused when Gin was always with Akutagawa after hours.

•Kouyou has a blog where she helps people solve their issues. She's rarely on it but when she is she's always giving the best advice. She also reviews soaps and oils.

•Fitzgerald got doxxed and freaked out because he didn't know that was a thing. He immediately replied with “How do you know that ?” Not knowing there could be consequences for bullying for kids online.

•Atsushi accidentally joined a pyramid scheme but when he tried to sell Yosano something she was there, again, to inform him that it was an MLM. “No Atsushi-kun, that one's not good either.” Much better than Tanazaki who didn't know any better (and bought so much stuff) or Dazai who just thought it was funny.

•Poe has a snapchat but has left people on delivered for weeks to months at a time. The only person he actually responds to is Ranpo, but even then sometimes he leaves him on read (very rarely).

•Fyodor always starts his posts with, “unpopular opinion but..” and if he doesn't like someone's statement he’ll end whatever he has to say with, “Spit.” With an eye rolling emoji.

•One time Akutagawa made a bare ass instagram just to dm Atsushi, “I will get you.” The tiger boy just added Dazai to the chat who, for the hell of it, added Chuuya and proceeded to cuss them both out. Not surprisingly Atsushi had to beg Dazai and Chuuya to block one another while ignoring Akutagawa’s threats.

•Dazai is only famous on twitter because his suicidal tweets are “relatable” and because he’s attractive. He actually secretly gets super pissed because he doesn’t think his pain is “relatable” but will tease people with remarks like, “Make way, celebrity coming through!” when he shows up late for work.
