the agencies accomodations weren't exactly a five star hotel but no one complained as they did there purpose. but the most common problem for them was the heat - they weren't exactly well ventilated. most often had to purchase their own or put in a request but not ranpo.

ranpo cared little for the heat. while he disliked it, it didn't bother him that much. but when you began sharing with him it became noticeably warmer inside the small rooms.

and when one particular night became rather humid it affected the both of you. the shared futon was stripped of most bedding and even that didn't really help seeing as ranpo was very clingy. he always said that he couldn't get to sleep if he wasn't cuddling you or you were cuddling him. even if ypu were sweating.

Again, who the fuck knows where Nikolai found a random child but he found you and now he's rasing you with Fyodor.

Tbh they are shit at parenting, like a clown and a manipulative bitch as parents? That child is growing up to be fucked up for real.

Okay, I've calmed down a bit, let's continue.

In this scenario Nikolai and Fyodor live together.

The first time Fyodor met you was when he came home to you sleeping on the sofa and Nikolai making something to drink in the kitchen.

'Why is there a child in out living room?' Fyodor asked, confession lingering in his voice.

'Their name is y/n and they are our new child!' Nikolai explained with a smile while preparing a cup of tea for Fyodor.

'Why?' Fyodor's tone was more of an annoyed one this time.

'Why not?' Nikolai placed a tea bag in a cup before pouring the water in.

Fyodor just sighed and accepted the fact that you were going to live with them now.

Fyodor isn't around that much naturally so you were closer to Nikolai but whenever Fyodor was around he didn't seem as scary as people made him out to be.

Fyodor did try to take care of you properly, educating you if he had the time and when he didn't he told you what to learn and gave you a plan until your next lesson, Fyodor wasn't the best teacher and had a hard time comprehending the fact that you were 10 and 10 year olds (including most of the population) aren't as smart as him.

Does Nikolai try to teach you anything? Nope, maybe some magic tricks here and there but other than that not much. Education is restricting in some ways and doesn't let the mind be creative and learn on its own so they way to be as free as one could get is to not learn stuff which will restrict the person and their imagination, now one should still attend school because you need to learn and stuff.

Since Fyodor is out at work most of the time you are left alone with Nikolai, you're too young to be left alone so Nikolai has to take care of you but he also has work and who else would be a great Babysitter than everyone's favourite: Sigma!

Nikolai said he had to go to work and you couldn't go with him so he took you to a good friend by the name of Sigma.

Without a knock Nikolai burst in through the door and startled a man sitting by a desk doing some paper work. 'Quiz time! Why am I here?' Nikolai announced while you awkwardly stood slightly behind him. Sigma didn't answer and only stared in disbelief at you for a few seconds before practically shouting at Nikolai 'Why on earth do you have a child with you?!'

Nikolai only laughed him off and started to walk up to him. By the time you two were in front of the desk Sigma calmed down and spoke in softer and more calmer tone to you trying to be as nice as he could while not being irritated by Nikolai. 'Is everything okay? Do you need help?'

Nikolai laughed at his questions and asked him to look after you for a while before leaving you there.

Sigma became a regular Babysitter to you and the longer you spend there the more activities became available to you. Sigma get some board games or something so the two of you could play while being there.

But what if Sigma cannot take care of you? Well the only option is bring-your-child-to-work day for Fyodor. He told you to just kinda chill there and stay quiet as he typed away but you cannot expect a child to sit I'm silence for hours and hours on end.

'Fyodor... I'm sorry but I'm hungry.' You were sitting on the floor surrounded by cables and what not. Fyodor stopped his typing and look at you, at the time and back to you, it was (whatever time you eat dinner) so he decided to take you somewhere to eat something.

The most likely scenario is the two of you going back to his house so he can make something for you to eat but if he's in a rush he'll get take out or something.

Since today was more of a busy day for him he told you to get up and the two of you left for town to get something, he wasn't going to call for take out, that would risk people knowing where he lives and that is bad, very bad.

You had a great time out, you did mostly walk in silence to the restaurant and turn back but it was still nice. On your way there you spotted a cat and wanted to pet it but Fyodor was moving quickly ahead and didn't bother to stop for a simple cat.

Once going back the cat was still in its and you ran up to the cat carefully as to not scare it away and started petting it. The cat was woke up but didn't move still enjoying the sun. Fyodor caught up to you rather quickly but instead of moving along not paying attention he stopped and let you pet the cat for a little before telling you that you two have to leave.

You two got back and ate your food making light conversation

I don't believe Fyodor has any other chairs beside his own in his office so you have to sit on the floor or stand.

Overall Nikolai and Fyodor aren't the best parents a child could ask for but not the worst, they care for their child and their wellbeing.

Also Nikolai insists on calling him тато (tato: dad) or pa or something like that.

You stare at yourself in the mirror, the hot water from the shower warming you up from a distance. All you were trying to do was take a nice shower before bed, then go and lay down with Sigma. But per usual, you couldn’t help but critique yourself in the mirror.

You stared at your naked body, pinching and pulling at the skin you felt shouldn’t be there. You groaned, tearing up. You didn’t deserve Sigma, he was so beautiful, ethereal, even. And you felt, for lack of a better word, horrible. You looked down at your legs, tearing up pathetically.

Your thoughts were eating you alive, taking over all your thoughts. You were unable to think of anything else besides your body, and how..unattractive it is. You hated how you were chubby. Your thoughts swarmed your mind until you heard a knock on the bathroom door, and you quickly grabbed a towel before opening it to see Sigma. As to be expected considering you two live together.

“What’re you doing?” Sigma asked.

“Oh, nothing. Just..getting into the shower.”

“And crying over it?”

You stood still, looking at Sigma with confusion. How’d he know?

“How did you find out?” You questioned.

“I walked past to get a drink of water and heard you sniffling.”

Considering how you had the water pressure on quite low, it wasn’t a shock that Sigma could hear you from in front of the door.

“What’s the matter?”

You tightened your grip on the towel.

Sigma gave a confused look at your silence, walking behind you to hold you close. He wrapped his arms around your bare shoulders, holding you close to his chest.

“I don’t feel..good.”

“‘Good’ in what way?”

“..attractive.”

Sigma looked taken aback, leaning his head forward to look directly at your face.

“Why don’t you feel attractive?”

“I don’t know, it’s not as easy to explain as that,” you said. “I don’t have a nice body like you do.”

Sigma looked confused, moving his hand to caress your upper chest that wasn’t hidden by the towel.

“I think you have a beautiful body.”

You teared up more, looking down.

“But do I really? You’re so..pretty, and I’m—well, not.”

“What is it you don’t like about your body though?”

You got a little irritated, unable to put it into words.

“To explain it simply, I’m chubby. It’s ugly.”

Sigma looked shocked at your words (which were blatantly untrue, he couldn’t think of a single more attractive person than you), letting you keep talking. He wanted to fully hear you out. He gave you a ‘keep going’ look, waiting for more detail.

The words flooded out of you like a water bank.

Within about twenty-five minutes, you had your chest against Sigma, crying, sobbing, over all your built up emotions.

“Like..I can’t wear any of the clothes I like..! Or, or..go out in public and not be self conscious. It feels like everyone’s looking at me! And..”

“And?”

“I feel like I’m not good enough for you.”

By this point, the water had run cold, and you were shivering at the cold air in the room from, and from sobbing your eyes out.

“That’s..untrue. I don’t think there’s anyone that could ever be better for me,”

Sigma turned you back around, kissing along your shoulders that were on display and not hidden by the towel. He slowly trailed down, leaving chaste kisses along your body. It was nice to get this comfort and have it not be sexual, it almost felt more real. As Sigma trailed down, intertwining his fingers with yours and reaching your hand up to kiss your knuckles, the lack of pressure against the towel from your lifted arm made it fall, and you squealed a little, leaning down to grab it, before Sigma gripped your shoulder.

“No, don’t..if you’re fine with that.”

You nodded, leaning back up and looking away, favoring the floor instead of straight ahead at the mirror or Sigma’s face. Sigma didn’t make you look at him, not wanting to force you. Instead, he trailed along your stomach, and arms, trailing down to your thighs, gently squeezing them. The tender movements made you look up at the mirror, looking at him.

His face didn’t disappoint you.

He had a look of fondness, a small smile on his face as he looked at you in the mirror. There was no judgment, only adoration and love. He was holding you close, swaying you at this point. And despite the cold shower, you felt warm inside. As much as you were crying earlier, you couldn’t help a fond smile from creeping across your face.

“How about we wait for the shower to warm up again, clean up, and then we can go to bed. Maybe we can go shopping tomorrow. I think we should buy some of those clothes you’re hesitant to wear, prove how good they look on you.

You smiled at the idea.

“Sounds nice.”

I'm on my Siglai brainrot so here. Have this as a little modern AU headcannon.

(If the cannon referenced is wrong shhhh no it's not)

We've seen Nikolai as very touchy and Fyodor as, not disliking it, but not reciprocating or iniating it.

We've seen Sigma openly look concerned or uncomfortable with Nikolai's touchiness, yet when it happens to him he goes with it and doesn't stop it (indicating he doesn't mind when Nikolai does it, since with Dazai he let it go on a little then stopped it)

So give me Nikolai who's love language is physical touch, with Fyodor who doesn't get touched often because he comes off as too indimidating, and since he never reciprocates and often looks indifferent to Nikolai's touches (bar the cannon scene when they reunite), Nikolai stops touching him as often.

So Nikolai kinda floats through with all this touch he feels like he needs to give but can't. He gets by enough by playing with Bram's hair while he sleeps, or Aya likes hugs when she sees him, but it's not enough. It's not the kind of long touch he wants to give.

Then there's Sigma. Who, at first, looks concerned at how touchy Nikolai is, but Nikolai tries his luck and touches Sigma, who doesn't push him away or tell him to stop. But it doesn't go unoticed he looks a little uncomfortable.

Eventually though, after Nikolai backs off from Sigma, residing in shoulder taps, standing close enough that their arms touch, bumping their knees when they sit down, Sigma *leans* on him on the bus home from school. Head on shoulder.

Nikolai keeps it together, but deep down he's ecstatic. When he puts his arm around Sigma though, he notices a tense up and how quiet Sigma gets, almost like the touch makes him lose his voice.

Eventually Nikolai learns that Sigma does like touch, it just overwhelms him a lot and he goes quiet, which can be scary because it means he physically can't say no- but he noticed Nikolai reading the signs back when they met and backing off- he trusts Nikolai.

Hence. Siglai

And Fyodor ig.

General Opinion over said character: lucy get BEHIND ME!!! if you hate her bc 1. she "gets in the way of your ship" (no she literally doesn't??) and/or 2. she's too loud / mean / annoying / brash / stubborn / headstrong / etc etc etc. please take a LOOK at the male characters you are fawning over and you will see that they probably share some of the same traits you are villainizing lucy for. she has literally done nothing wrong and i adore her and i will defend her with my life. thank u
