SHIP/OTP Questions for my main ships: Cambeck, Lunarie, and Camarie :) (because I am not sure which ships will end up canon y a y)

1. Who is the early bird/ Who is the night owl?

Valerie is definitely the night owl in every situation. She cannot fall asleep before 11pm, but even then likes to stay up. What do you expect? This girl stays up studying fairy tales and magic and then of course has to do all her school work at 1am. She’s a wreck.

Luna and Camden are early birds, and go to bed early. Do not understand Val’s need to stay up. Luna likes to get up early to work out and get ready for her day. She likes to be productive. Cam likes to watch the sunrise and gets inspiration from the early morning crap idk. He likes to be up and awake and ready. They both like to be awake before everyone else in the house and have alone time before they need to put on their ‘masks’.

Oliver is both? He likes to stay up late but can’t sleep in. So when he can, he naps during the day. Which he can’t. Get this poor boy some sleep, he's a mess.

2. Who is the big spoon/ Who is the little spoon?

Cam is usually the big spoon and Val is the little spoon. He likes holding her and feeling like he can protect her, and vice versa. But sometimes, when Cam has had a bad day, he needs to be held. Val likes when she’s the big spoon because it’s when Cam is vulnerable idk words lol

Same thing here. Cam is usually the big spoon. Oliver would never initiate himself as the big spoon, but he wouldn’t turn Cam down if he wanted to be held.

3. Who hogs the cover/ Who loves to cuddle?

Okay so hear me out. They ALL love to cuddle. The most affectionate are Camden and Luna, then Valerie and then Oliver.

Val is a total cover hog, which is fine because Cam and Luna will just cuddle up to her and boom all is good.

Oliver. Will. Steal the covers. And when he’s sleeping he doesn’t care to cuddle. So Camden is lEFT FREEZING HIS LIL FACE OFF AND OLIVER DOESN’T KNOW NOR CARE BECAUSE HE’S ASLEEP

4. Who wakes the other one up with kisses?

Camden. Little kisses all over the face. With Val she’ll smile and return them, Oli will end up a blushing mess every single time.

If Val happens to somehow be awake before Luna? Like they both had a long night?? OOooffff. Luna is definitely that “Affection? Disgusting… Do it again” type of person so if Valerie ever woke Luna up with little kisses Luna would ACT like she hated them but they both know that's how she wants to be woken up for the rest of her life. Might do that to Valerie a few times and then deNY IT THE BRAT

5. Who usually has nightmares?

Honestly? Probably Luna. Her constant fear of wanting affection and attention keeps her up at night (Except not)

6. Who would have really deep emotional thoughts at the middle of the night/ Who would have them in the middle of the day?

B R U H. Valerie and Oliver would stay up late at night contemplating life and Camden would totally go along with it.

Luna does her thinking during the day around people. That's how she realized she liked females and maybe being popular wasn’t really everything and woah no one has ever been inside and empty room….

7. Who sweats the small stuff?

Luna and Oliver when it comes to basic everyday things. They are worry warts, no matter how much they hide it. So poor Val and Cam need to tell them they’re doing okay and just. S t o p.

Cam sweats the small stuff when it comes to his partner. He’s a hopeless romantic and just wants his s/o to feel like the most loved and happy person in the world and constantly feels like he isn’t doing enough.

8. Who sleeps in their underwear (or naked)/ Who sleeps in their pajamas?

They all wear pajamas but if Valerie were alone on a hot night she would not pass up just her underwear and a giant t-shirt.

9. Who makes the coffee (or tea)?

Cam and Luna usually do since they wake up early, but Valerie always makes extra because she's a thirsty gal

10. Who likes sweet/ Who likes sour?

Cam and Oli are wholesome sweetie babies who love sweet.

Valerie likes both. She can’t choose just oNE …. :)

Luna likes sour things. Sour. That’s why she herself is so sour. She doesn’t like dessert-type food either.

11. Who likes horror movies/ Who likes romance movies?

Camden is of course a sucker for romance movies, and so is Valerie. Oliver doesn’t mind them. Luna pretends to hate them and then finds herself up at 1am watching Hallmark movies. whoops

Cam is just a movie junkie and also loves horror. Val will watch them if someone else wants to, but does not go out of her way to choose to watch them. Luna and Oliver hate horror movies. Will not for any reason watch them.

12. Who is smol/ Who is tol?

Based off of energy, Luna and Cam have tol energy and Val and Oli have smol energy. Which works for their actual heights too…

13. Who is considered the scaredy cat?

Oliver and Luna lMAOOOO poopy heads

14. Who kills the spiders?

Camden would kill it, but Valerie would take it outside while Oli and Luna are crying outside and planning on where to move.

Valerie actually is still scared of the dark...

17. Who works/ Who stays at home?

Val, Cam, and Luna would all go out to work. And Oli is the homebody who just stays home/works from home.

Oliver is a dog person.

Val likes both, leans toward cats.

Cam likes both, leans toward dogs.

Luna is not an animal person. Get them away from her. She won’t touch them. Gross.

Val will talk and talk and talk and Luna doesn’t listen unless it’s like a serious heart-to-heart. Luna doesn’t talk about her feelings and Val has to force them out of her.

Ohmygosh Valerie wears everyones clothes regardless of who shes with.

Valerie does both

Luna is in and out. And somehow was able to effectively wash all her hair, clean and shave her entire body, give herself like a full facial and mani-pedi, buy a house, perform heart surgery, and like brush her teeth in like ten minutes.

Cam is only three inches taller than Oliver :) And Cam claims the title as the oldest, being four months older than Oli

Omh Camden is such a hopeless romantic and he’ll do this just so he can turn his head and see his love staring up with the stars in their eyes. Also so he can use dumb star related pick up lines on them

Valerie loves this! Look up at the stars! So pretty! She may not know anything about them, but she loves them!

Luna will join Valerie because yeah, they’re pretty :) And so is the cute girl next to her whoop

When it comes to parenting, Valerie and Cam would be a fun/responsible duo. They are both the good cop and bad cop. They know how to balance it, because they grew up with balanced parents.

Luna would be more responsible. She isn’t exactly a ‘kid’ person, and really didn’t have great parental influences growing up, and doesn’t want to have her child run off and be unsupervised/feel neglected like her

Oliver is in a similar boat.

Omg I swear Camden and Valerie are like the same person it’s disgusing. Anyways. They.

Oliver will gladly accept what Cam wins for him

When Val offers to win one for Luna, she’ll be like ‘ew gross I don’t want one of those’. Valerie gets one anyways, and Luna adores it anyways.

44. Who is active/ Who is lazy?

Honestly none of them are lazy per se, but the most active I think are Luna and Valerie. I mean, Luna is just an active, work-outy person. Valerie just cannot sit still for longer than three minutes.

Camden and Oli like to relax from time to time. Just. Sit. Alone or with each other.

45. Who is more likely to get drunk?

Luna and Cam (poor Valerie lol)

46. Who has the longer food order?

Camden!! This boy eats a lot!! And where does it all go?!

47. Who has the more complex coffee order?

Ohmygoodness Valerie. She drinks so much coffee, and her orders are always different and bizarre.

48. Who loses stuff?

Oliver. Poor boy. Val misplaces things quite often, too.

49. Who is the driver/ Who is the passenger?

Camden is the only good driver here.

Between Luna and Val, Valerie drives but only because Luna refuses to. That does not mean she is good.

50. Who is the hopeless romantic?

The obvious answer here is Camden. He takes the cake for being a hopeless romantic. He loves the idea of love, and being in love. Having someone to love. Love. He goes over the top, stares at them, he’s just in love and isn’t afraid to show it.

HOWEVER

I think all of them, once in their relationship, shows how hopelessly romantic they are for their loves. That’s just what happens when you’re with the one.

Our story

This is gonna be a little diary of my adventures with my girlfriend. I wanted to keep a little journal on how our lives go by this 2020. I hope I make my smol bean happy with this.

So, I’m tol girl and my girlfriend’s smol bean. And yes, I am the giant to my munchkin gf. Lol. I’m currently 29 y/o while she is 25. We are from the Manila, Philippines and we’ve been officially together since Dec 14, 2019. We’re barely a month in and I’m excited for what’s to come this year.

A little bit background on how we started. We met through a comics convention in Manila. She’s a comics creator while I’m a big fan of comics. She has her booth set up for indieket. I was browsing through each booth when I came upon hers. Lo and behold, there she is, a smol bean smiling at me saying hello. Me? I’m struck dumb. She has this cute adorable smile that pierce through my stone cold heart. And I knew I’m a goner there and then. What a fateful meeting. 😌

After I managed to get my soul back, I managed to stay cool and buy merch from her with minimal fumbling lol. I’m that dorky nerd still pretending to be cool. I never did manage to forget her so I started following her socmed accounts. Started commenting on her ig stories for a month til I got the opportunity to swipe a coffee friendly “date” with her. Finally. And then, the rest was history. 😉

Maybe I’d tell some snippets of our backstory when I’m feeling nostalgic. But for now, my stories would probably what’s happening to us in the present.

Have any nicknames for each other?obviously tiger is one for him, but i also poke around and call him old (it’s all in good fun though!) he mostly calls me mordie or syd but also kitty since sometimes i tend to stare off into space and look around like a little lost cat. Where was you and your F/O’s first date at?at my favorite restaurant! i offhandedly mentioned it’s my favorite place to eat and i never get to eat there often because of money, so one day he’ll announce he planned something special for just the two of us and take me there! (there may be a chance of something terrible happening like some weirdo trying to kidnap me but i trust kotetsu to fight em off, even with his 1 minute power)

Who loses their stuff and who helps the other find it?kotetsu’s apartment is messy but i imagine he may have picked up some organization skills from barnaby? maybe? but i’m just hopeless LOL i can’t find things that are right in front of me so it’s a bit of both. sometimes we’ll find things that the other lost months ago

1) Are you named after anyone?

Yes, my rEaL name is Brooke. But I call myself Brewgie on here cuz like it’s cute and no one calls me Brookie anymore really, and I’m shy about liking kpop so I thought sOmEhOw making up a name would save me from people I know knowing? Which is bs I need to get over it. ANYWAYS my mom had a best friend growing up and she died at a young age going rock climbing because her gear was faulty. (This is apart of my lame theory as to why I have a fear of heights lmao) okay this got dark? Let’s move on

2) When was the last time I cried?

I’m not really a crier. I usually get like passionate and shaky and goosebump-y instead. The closest I get usually is tearing up. Last time I cried-cried was probably March / April. I used to be THE BIGGEST crybaby in the world growing up though, like if you touched me I’d cry

3) Do you have kids?

Yes I’m the mom friend in all of my friend groups. If I’m your friend irl I have adopted you. And not irl. I’m very maternal. Want a mom? I’ll be your mom!!!!

Besides the obvious visuals of course, I notice like how they express themselves?

These things are really fun to figure about people and I usually try to figure that out so I can like vibe with them~ and understand them a bit more~

6) What’s your eye color?

Gray / blue. Like unexciting stone, earthy, unshiny bland grey blue😂😂✊🏻 my brothers and sister have BRIGHT blue lol can’t relate

7) Scary movie or happy ending?

I have hEmophobia which is fear of blood, not hOmophobia, I’m not scared of myself lmao.. wait.. So like no scary, no gore. Am babey and will pass out / go into fetal position. Deadass.

First off, talent is bullshit. You have to train to be good at something. Second, uh I’m a mediocre writer and artist / creative- y person and I can read people to interact with them well usually. Training and practice!

No. I miss my puppy and I’ve like serious pet fever at the moment. I see any pet and I’m like 🤩😱🤠‼️💗💓‼️

10) What sports do you play/have you played?

I played soccer and I danced for like two years each. Not for me at all. I’ll watch and cheer instead I guess lmao

Tol. 5’10 ft / 177.8 cm. The extra height really brings out the clumsy. I’m tol but am smol okie

English, French and various art / creative classes I could get my hands on (creative writing, watercolor, graphics design, drawing, greenhouse :’))

This is for the Anon that sent me this ask askin me why I ship the ships that I do. Aaand it turns out. Dee got no chill. So I wrote an extensive set of paragraphs explaining why I ship my OCs with these characters. My first ask rant tho! Yaay! (pls don’t judge how lengthy it is 😅) NOW! Time for the second answer for the lovely anon’s question. I’m just gonna start randomly, not gonna be ranking these in order of which ship I like the most or anything.

Mal & Kai: The two big elf bitches. The smol and tol thicc-ness. (okee that’s enough)

Now for reasons as to why I love this ship: Because it’s a beautiful ship that involves two like-minded women harboring healthy feelings for each other, showing great respect and trust towards their decisions and choices and each other. Despite them being the most fast-paced ship of mine that was forged during their timeline, it’s not just the big flashy steamy moments between them that draws me to this ship. It’s also the fact that despite their different backgrounds and upbringing and race, they’re both two thicc-af, BAMF babes who don’t give a shit what anybody else thinks because they care and love each other enough despite it all. And the fact that Kai still found it in her heart to accept Mal despite what she did in her past and blaming herself so deeply for it, just made the big lovable babe love her belfy all the more.

Another thing with Mal is, despite the stone-cold bitch vibe she gives off to everybody, she’s a total softie for Kai - she calls her nicknames like “honey, gorgeous, babe, sweets”, listens to her, compliments her and ready to fly to wherever she is to beat the fuck out of whoever messes with her smol babe. And the care and affection that Kai gives is just as much! She tries to help Mal out as best as she can, accepts her help when Mal offers it, actively works to make her feel better when she’s down, I can fuckin go on.

Jaz & Trobu: okay no more nicknames cuz...I honestly ran out. xD Onto why I ship this!

Honestly, a big reason for me is their similarities, and how well they are able to relate each other. Both Trobu and Jaz ran away from their homes because they were different and trying to avoid their parent’s expectations for them; I suppose… for Trobu it would be different, ‘cause his parents wanted him to be a Zombie lol, but for Jaz, it was for a sense of belonging and trying to find her own way. They’re both also in a way seeking acceptance from their peers; for Jaz it was more like she wants to feel accepted as someone who is stronger and not limited by what everybody thinks she is. And in a way, she’s grateful that Trobu never assumed or judged her by her surface, even though he’s like twice her size and most brutes she met that were as big as him weren’t as friendly.

Another reason why I ship this ship: they both start off as just friends mostly. The fact that it all started off as them both just messing around and causing havoc but having each other’s backs and being super chill buds, but then the feelings grow later on, is the best.

And yeah, Trobu’s a dumbass and it’s not like Jaz doesn’t notice it right off the bat, but that leads me to my final point; their personalities are well suited to each other. After Jaz’s rather traumatic and emotionally exhausting experience with her last mate, she doesn’t really love as easily as she used to and is afraid that if she does, the same shit would repeat itself. But the fact that Trobu’s just as durpy, albeit quite dumber, and willing to put up with her crazy-ass shenanigans and stories and likes her for herself (and vice versa), made her finally decide to trust him because...I have a feeling Trobu’s too dumb to come up with any backstabbing plan anyways xD. And Jaz definitely needs someone who can love her with just as much loyalty and honesty as she can.

Kersoroe: the most recent one, and the most ‘came-out-of-the-blue’ ship for me. The Cock and Green. The Ketchup and Mustard. The Chocolate and Carmul. (lul i lied i still have plenty of silly nicknames)

The reason I say this ship came out of the blue for me is because at first, Kerso and Roe don’t really get along and me and @flynneware agreed that at first it would probably be a fuck-buddy thing. Kerso thinks Roe is a good lay, and Roe is thirsty for that sexy-voiced orc daddy, so it worked (rubi pls dont hate me for phrasing it like that xD). But then. Then the fluff came in. And if y’all know me, you’d know that Fluff™ is Dee’s kryptonite, and it got me thinking about their parallels. On the surface, Kerso and Roe don’t look like they have a lot in common. Kerso’s much older and mature, he’s wiser, compassionate, patient and his idea of a good time is reading a book or sitting down to engage in a good conversation over a cup of tea. Roe might as well be his opposite; loud, brash, arrogant and always having a problem with Kerso’s sudden authority over him when Kerso comes into the Dragon Squad.

But then you see them interact more often and you see the similarities seep in. They both start to grow and Kerso starts to be more patient with Roe and after catching him in a vulnerable moment and seeing how he had grown into what he was, Kerso only wanted to try and help him. Because at the end of the day, that’s an essential part of who Kerso is. A healer. Was it wise of him to do that even when all Roe used to do was call him racist orc-slurs and threatened to kill him? Probably not, but despite Roe not being one of his favorite elves, he cannot just ignore an aching soul when he sees one.

Next thing you know, they’re both opening up to each other. They find out they’re both loners, that they were both tortured, been through so much, scarred inside and outside, but despite all that they both accept those sides of each other. And you don’t just see it in the big feels-y moments they have (and omg you guys, when I say ‘big feels-y moments’, I MEAN BIG FUCKIN FEELS-Y MOMENTS. I can’t wait to see if we can post the RPs here when they are done), but also in the smaller, yet significant moments where their support and banter for each other is also shown. You’ll get a kind of balanced relationship where they need each other, where they complete each other, and where light and dark come together. If you focus on all these things you get a complex and beautiful relationship.

Raise The Last Flag

[IBO 50]

That was totally a bittersweet, logical ending. It gave me that Crisis Core ending feel on Mika and Aki’s final standoff against Gjallarhorn, and that FFT ending feel on the fates of Tekkadan and McGillis.

Actually, I have made myself think of the worst possible ending (total annihilation of Tekkadan) so as not to get any of my hopes up and to save me from getting too hurt, lol. Thankfully, there were still survivors from Tekkadan who managed to meet reach their goal, and that didn’t put all their dead family members’ death to waste... save maybe for Ride and a few Tekkadan boys who went rogue... Q___Q (but I won’t deny it was satisfying to have Nobliss killed...and while taking a dump) Some people may hate the ending for killing off the MC, but let’s be real. From the start of Gjallarhorn’s siege in Tekkadan’s base, we already know they’re outnumbered and doomed, and what more from just two units fighting off an entire army? What’s more, and painful as it sounds, Mika has already reached the place they belong to. And he did say that once they do, he’ll stop -- and he did. And as Julietta mentioned, the battlefield is the place where Tekkadan belongs, and it’s just so sad... But hey, despite losing some of their family members along the way, Tekkadan still made it towards their goal where they can live a peaceful life, and I’m pretty sure all those who died are happy as well.

I honestly got confused about Rustal reforming Gjallarhorn. I mean, after all the vicious and dirty things he did, he goes for reformation of Gjallarhorn...? Idk, I feel like it was an ass pull. Then again, when you try to look at things from his perspective and ideals, his actions make a point. Still, that doesn’t mean that I like him and that he deserves to live, lol. I mean, Gali-Gali could have been a better leader and he has morals unlike Rustal.

Oh, and finally... F I N A L L Y! Someone who deserved to die FINALLY died! And it was oh so satisfying! Thank you, for giving us that “death by Space Guts’ scissors of doom” death to Iok Kujan, and for showing us how how slowly and painfully he died~ Your plot armor has gone too far.

One of the great things about IBO is that majority (if not all) characters are grey -- there’s no black or white, or good and evil, or hero and villain. Even Iok, villainous as he may seem for what he did to the Turbines, has something noble about him. Iok, Jasley, and Nobliss are among the ones I consider “villains” in the series.

Another great thing about IBO is how realistic it can get. The ending for example. No last-minute miracle shits to save the protags, and not everyone who’s “good” gets a good ending. Also the fact that history is written by victors. It’s sad how Tekkadan and McGillis were forgotten, or if they were remembered by the public, it would be something negative. (see FFT ending) And speaking of this, Kudelia telling Rustal about her Tekkadan family members and how they fought nobly was a big fuck you to Rustal’s face, HAH!

Honestly, IBO S2 had quite a lot of flaws compared to S1. Idk, S2 seemed like it’s all over the place, unlike S1, which has a direct story flow. Despite its flaws however, I cannot disagree that IBO is an epic Gundam series! The story’s great, it’s unpredictable and full of unexpected twists and turns, awesome battles, it tackled social issues in a realistic way, they took a bold move having canon LGBT in a Gundam series and did it in a way that is natural and realistic (it’s a first, too! and yes, it is confirmed that Shino is bi), and the characters are very memorable and well-written (you can love them or hate them to bits!)

I’ve never invested my emotions so much in a series like IBO! It was a roller coaster ride of feels! Thank you, Sunrise, for this amazing series!

On a side note, the timeskip made it look as if almost everyone had growth spurt. I mean, the smol characters became tol and I find it awkward how Atra still sounds like a kid, haha!

Sawamura:

German Shepherd, Captain

@faiyuuhi has the Fireman!AU with all the pets and Daichi with Captain was just perf.

I mean, ever since I had this prompt in my head I’ve always been able to see Daichi with a German Shepherd: they’re dependable, loyal, hardworking, smart. But Faiyuuhi just did it so well with her book, I fell in love with the idea even more ❤

Daichi got Captain in college on a whim because he felt lonely and his neighbor was a really good friend that felt owed Daichi so much

So Daichi got a two-month-old German Shepherd

^which he really didn’t know what to name for a while

^but he really wanted to use the name ‘Captain’, and it just kind of stuck

He and Captain go on walks and morning runs together, play catch in the park, do coordinated tricks, even work out at home together (since pets weren’t really allowed to be in the gym)

until ofc the manager at the local gym he works out in saw him running in that park in gym shorts and black tank and says ‘so that’s where he disappears to’ bc he really loves being with Captain so much

and she allows Captain to go to the gym (considering he’s housetrained ofc) and eventually becomes the gym mascot c:

On the topic of tricks, Daichi once brought Captain to the park to practice tricks, and he got an audience that filmed him and his dog

He went a little viral in Miyagi for his ‘Hot Guy and Amazing Dog!!!! AWESOME TRICKS’ or smth like that, and every now and then he does shows in the park

^ after which some spectators offer money for his time

^ now he sets a small box for Captain’s treat budget for extra effort :)

Daichi hates brushing sessions the most, especially during shedding season.

^and when Captain just shakes his fur out in the middle of the thing omigod

^that is the reason why Daichi hates his carpeted apartment

I didn’t mean to ship Captain with Harper, which came out of nowhere, but why not have some fluff hcs about them

When they’re tired from walks, they snuggle together in a mass of black, brown, red and white fur

Snoot booping. Snoot booping everywhere

Lots of tail wagging, esp when they look at each other

Captain’s pretty shy around Harper, and ducks his head when she runs for him the next time they meet, but really, really likes giving her kisses

They don’t meet when she’s in heat, and they meet on a regular basis when she’s not. Captain looks forward to the meetings and knows what time it is, so when Daichi doesn’t look like he’s bringing Captain to meet with Futakuchi and Harper, he starts barking and howling for her :’(

Oikawa:

Japanese Bobtail, Maenki (maen-ki)

I guess a lot of people would pair his flamboyance with a Persian (which is long-haired and floofy and just screams c l a s s y ) but a long-haired Persian requires daily grooming. Considering this boy’s busy vbc + acads schedule, I don’t think that’s going to work

So I read around since I don’t own a cat, and saw that the Japanese Bobtail would be best over my original idea of having a Scottish Fold

They’re healthy, colorful, and easy to care for, but at the same time affectionate and really great companions.

Oikawa got his at about five months old, a pretty mostly-white tabby calico mix girl with yellow eyes

Her white spots are big, and look like petals dappling her fur, really pretty ❤

He’s wanted one since he saw a Manekineko and read about the folklore too

Later as I was doing this draft I was thinking about my cousin misspelling things, and when she was trying out ‘Manekineko’, she spelled it as ‘Maenkineko’. The Maenki part stuck, since the above hc is that Oikawa likes the Manekineko. :)

He learns that she can ‘talk’, which are mostly chirps and meows strung together

and now when he talks to her, she knows how to respond. Like greeting her good morning earns him her own greeting that, through time, he recognizes as her ‘good morning’ reply

At night, when he can’t call Iwa-chan or Makki or Mattsun, he talks to her, and they have conversations that last hours

She keeps up with his active lifestyle too. Like he does pushups at home and she bats his nose with a paw, or sits on his back

Sometimes he jogs around the street their house is in and she follows

And she’s extra smart too: like she can find the ball in cups, find her ball, etc

She also loves boxes, and will get into anything she can fit into

So he keeps all his boxes closed, and has one especially for her

she doesn’t even touch her furry cat bed, sadly

She scratches him when he tries for her belly too

But she looooves brushing sessions. Like she will try to get those bristles under her chin no matter what, which is problematic since he needs to brush all of her

!! She absolutely loves being pet

And the rest of the Seijou vbc love her to death

Like, she’s the first thing they look for in Oikawa’s home, to Oikawa’s disappointment

Iwaizumi’s really dumbfounded on why Maenki would like someone like him lol

^that’s the running joke of the Seijou 3rd years lol but it’s hella fine to Iwa-chan

Kuroo

Medium-sized Poodle, Sushi; Common goldfish, Neko;Plakat Betta, Aki

Kuroo’s love of dogs over cats is canon, so no cats for this tol

His parents agreed he could have a dog, so they got a Medium-sized cream Poodle. Standard was too big, and Toy was too small, so they got one in the middle. His mother was allergic to fur, so they got a poodle

Sushi was the name the breeders kind of tagged him with because at two months, he looked like a riceball

Why not Onigiri? No idea either

^this lil shit is smart af. Regularly gets out of his crate, leash, collar, whatever

Gets into so much mischief too, but that was only because Kuroo wasn’t walking him; all that pent up energy was directed the wrong way

Now they have 15-minute runs and 15-minute training sessions everyday. Sushi now knows enough to enter an obedience competition

The lil shit is fast af, something Kuroo learned while sprinting. Lots of dogs that was Sushi’s size he’s handled before weren’t as fast as this beanpole of ours, but this literal small cloud of fluff could match Kuroo’s sprint over about 200m

(Even though Kuroo is the fastest of the vbc after Tora and Lev)

Neko he won from the college fair. He had no idea what to name it until it jumped out of the tank. He put it back in the tank and lo and behold: it lives!

^and since the first thing he said was that the thing must have nine lives, the name ‘Neko’ stuck

^ to this day, Kenma thinks it’s weird af (but hella cheesy and ironic)

Come spring, as he was cleaning out the tank, he noticed that the container he put Neko in had transparent little balls stuck to the walls. He ran his fingers along the tank walls, and found more of them

The filter was a bitch to clean too

In the end he did a 100% water change, and cleaned including the stand on which the tank sat on

^ this took up an entire Saturday afternoon

That was the day he realized that, for six months, the goldfish was a fricking girl.

Neko was seven months under Kuroo’s care when Aki came home.

Aki is a Grizzle Plakat Betta

Kuroo knew that bettas couldn’t be put into a tank with a four-inch-goldfish because of their size, and because bettas are literally fighting fish

But Kuroo found Aki not in one of those cups, but in a community tank. this means that Aki was already living peacefully with other fish

So after buying the things he needed for Neko’s tank, he had Aki put in a bag to take home c:

So imagine a less-than-an-inch betta with a four-inch-goldfish

Oddly enough, they get along. Well if by ‘getting along’ means ‘no nipped fins’ then they’re good

The name ‘Aki’ (暁) literally means ‘daybreak’. It’s attributed to his pastel body and blue-and-purple fins, literally looking like the morning sky

Sushi once jumped up on the seat right next to the tank and watched the fish for a good five minutes. He goes there every now and then to bark at the tank, and they greet him with omnom faces. (they’re practically best friends now c:)

Futakuchi

Alaskan Malamute, Harper; Guinea pig, Megumi

His aunt was into raising Malamutes. There was a month-old litter in her house

one of the puppies crawled up to his leg and started pawing his pants. He picked her up, and played with her until he left with his mother that evening. He’s wanted her ever since (although he won’t really admit that openly)

About a month later, he was a proud owner of a smol sable-and-white, blue-eyed Alaskan Malamute

Named her ‘Harper’, even though she’s also called Haru-chan (/ha-ru-pe-ru/, since Harper itself is an English name)

On the way or when she came home, she kept trying to lick his face, as if she was excited he was her new owner

Outside the house, she’ll play pretty vigorously

Once she grew into standard Malamute size, she’s learned she can bowl Futakuchi over. The rest of the team thinks it’s cute

Poor Sakunami is dwarfed by the some-6-foot-tall Harper. he likes it when she flops on him tho, such warmth

speaking of, in the house she likes flopping onto anyone, as in anyone

Sakunami was lying on the couch and he kind of just disappeared under her fluff

^ Aone was looking for him all around the house, the whole team was looking for him around the house until he woke up from under her and his hands popped out, trying to lift the sleeping dog off his small frame

^ which ofc Aone and Kogane had some trouble with bc Harper’s pretty iffy about being moved when she’s comfy

^ Sadly the same thing happens to Futakuchi on the regular, even more so bc he sleeps in his room and she is allowed in his room

^ ofc he knows that dogs aren’t allowed on the bed or to sleep with you but she’s just. so. stubborn

But he has so much fun with her, the team really thinks it’s cute

^ if he wasn’t so invested in the dog he probably would have a gf at that point

Sometimes they go out in the park and share mochi

And he lets her play free bc the kids want to play fetch with her

But at the same time can’t ??? because she runs off c:

Once they were walking and they come across Daichi and Captain

This sweetheart literally just waltzes up to Captain and boops his snoot with hers ❤

To which Futakuchi has absolutely no idea what to do bc she’s never really looked at the ‘how to raise a female dog’ part of the books before

She and Captain sometimes spend afternoons together on the rare occasion that they meet c:

^to Futakuchi’s dismay, since she usually pays attention to him, and now she’s got goo goo eyes on Captain

Ushijima

I don’t really see Ushiwaka having a pet, since he’ll probably think it’ll take up his time

But how about an hc where he keeps a freaking hedgehog

African Pygmy Hedgehog, Quill

^ some idiot tried to give it as a gift (not Tendou, he’s too smart for that) and Ushiwaka just kind of took it in.

^ the note mentioned just how spiky he was, and took it to a literal level.

^ he didn’t have the heart to ‘dispose’ of the tiny ball of spines, so he decided to keep it.

^ his mother was pretty much against it though, but he managed.

The smol stays in a large for-rabbits cage, with furniture of assorted sizes

After the initial introductory period (which includes desensitizing of new owner and environment, plus anting) Quill’s pretty chill

He likes snuggling in Ushiwaka’s huge sweaters, and practically disappears

You know the Hangry to Happy Hedgie vids? Feed this smol some cheese bits while he’s curled up

Sometimes Ushiwaka leaves Quill out of his cage for a while, until the Grand Ace forgets

^ and subsequently finds droppings over his hardwood floor

^ and also subsequently wonders where the heck the smol went

When the team comes over, they don’t really check on Quill simply because it’s Quill. He doesn’t really care

He cares for the treats they give tho

And the snuggles they let him have when Tendou brings him out

Speaking of, Tendou once wanted to pet Quill, but was afraid he’d get spiked

Ushiwaka showed him how, and every time he visits he’s usually got his hands on Quill

^unfortunately the one time Tendou made that stupid pun of ‘spiking’ Quill made Ushiwaka kind of worried that Tendou would actually spike the smol

^ so now Tendou must always handle Qull under Grand Ace Supervision™

Quill also likes cherries (without the skin), but it stains his lips, cheeks, chest, and paws (which leads to Ushiwaka trying to bathe Quill [which Ushiwaka really doesn’t look forward to])

But leave the smol in a bath and he’ll swim for hours

^ which is ofc dangerous but Ushiwaka also has a heart, so he spoils this one sometimes

Bokuto

First of all, HOOT HOOT

Second of all, I’ve read up on the thing about keeping owls, and although it’s a good enough idea for our resident Hoot Captain, it’s not realistic enough

So how about another dog instead?

Labrador Retriever, Choko

Anybody know what a name we could give this one

The Labrador Retriever’s intelligent, playful, family-oriented, supportive

I wanted Bokuto to have one that’s extra playful, but most of them were either small or medium in size. I really didn’t ship something like that for Bokuto

I was thinking of an Australian Shepherd, a Shikoku, Siberian Husky, Dalmatian

^ and subsequently thought, why not four dogs??

^ then I thought of Akaashi and kind of received a fictional bop on the head heheheh

Bokuto went out witih Kuroo to the local groomer/clinic with Sushi, and saw quite a few puppies waiting for their grooming and wandering around playing with other puppies and dogs

And most dogs were small/medium in size

So when a grown-ass black Lab sat in line, he was just so ‘wowed’ out

“Kuroo!! It’s so BIG”

“…isn’t that what girls say when they see your thing??”

“Bro”

But the black Lab was so big and sweet and so very nice

The owner even let him pat her head!!!

And he decided he wanted one :)

ofc Kuroo would let his friend know what it takes to take care of a dog and whatnot, and ofc Bokuto won’t listen to this

So they check the ad boards next to the door for any Lab breeders

and Bokuto’s like, “Why not get from the pet store?”

and Kuroo lists down the hell why nobody should get dogs or cats any pet from the pet store

(says the author who got a betta from the pet store)

aaand Bokuto vows to vanquish pet stores

somehow

aaand Kuroo distracts Bo with a breeder close by

“Oh look it’s a station away”

“WHERE”

and somehow Bo procures a female chocolate brown Labrador Retriever

“KUROO LOOK LOOK”

“AKAASHI LOOK LOOK”

Choko loooooves to play! She literally always brings her tennis ball over

Bokuto can’t stody because of this

But when he does she lies down under his desk as a foot warmer

And she gets rubs too c:

aaaand because Labs love to swim :>

sometimes he brings her to the beach and plays fetch into the water

and all the girls love a man with a dog right??? wrong

he’s just so loud that’s all and it’s such a turn off

also he just freezes but that’s not the point

this baby girl is just sooooo loveable that she’s always getting kisses

and always giving kisses!!!

SO the captains meet up out of nowhere with their pets and guess who she tries glomping first :>

yeahh Captain’s a ladies’ man

so much that Daichi’s pretty irritated about that

BUT get this

the first time they meet is that she’s just so happy to see another dog almost her size that she just runs over and glomps Captain in a head-on collision course

He’s terrified of her after that

But slowly they become good friends

She and Sushi are best friends!!

Sushi has unlimited energy and paired with the big Lab Choko they’re free to roughhouse however they want

so feel free to ship the smol with the big, that’s fine

When they’re all tired, it’s a big pile of multicolored multi-textured fluff that Captain stands lies guard over

Choko likes giving kisses the most, likes getting pet the most, likes playing ball the most

Chewing? She chews on hands and fingers and it doesn’t really hurt bc Labs have soft mouth

^you literally could give her an egg and the shell won’t break

Bokuto finds that weird since Sushi can bite real hard

But finds it adorable nonetheless
