It seems like every second person has already drawn this, but I was asked, so okay-

Lilia genuinely liking children made me think he'd jokingly tell his kids(Silver and essentially Malleus at this point) " When am I going to get grandkids huh?" Once they both get into a relationship( with Rollo and Sebek respectively) and they both take it a little too seriously. It's a mad dash against time to see who can be the better son and get their dad the grandchildren he wants first. He was obviously joking and Rollo can clearly see that but Silver, Malleus, and (un)surprisingly Sebek 100% believe Lilia needs grandkid like right now. Rollo is at his wits end, Sebek is conflicted because he doesn't want to beat Malleus but he hates Rollo, Silver just loves his dad and will do anything for him including giving him grandchildren, and Malleus is in a similar vein as Silver but he's also quite competitive so he wants to beat Silver. Lilia is a little concerned at first but he gets blind sighted at the idea of having kids around again that he just kinda gets lost in the possible kids sauce.

Malleus beats Silver by the way. Only because Sebek's family intervenes once they catch wind of the whole idea. Rollo's also a sucker for kids so he eventually caves at the idea of having children so that also helped as well. Lilia is a very happy camper to finally be holding his first grandchild though, and he can finally start pulling out the grandpa fits.
