#she is one of the best characters in this fucking franchise and i will DIE on this hill
Text
Oh my god. Oh my fucking god. Liko in Episode 9 knows deep down that the Volteccers will leave her in Paldea, because that was her job, but she wants to stay with them because they are like family to her and she's changed so much since episode 1 and she WANTS to experience and grow more. But she buries that thought and doesn't confront the Volteccers about it because she thinks she'll just be inconveniencing them. Ever since the beginning of her journey she's had the lingering fear that she is nothing but a burden to the Volteccers, that all she is doing is putting them in harm's way, that they'd be glad to get rid of her because in her mind she's not "useful" to them. Liko thinks that she's a burden to everybody, that she doesn't DESERVE to be able to go on an adventure, putting everyone else's needs before her own. That's why she doesn't talk about her interests. She thinks she will inconvenience people with her "rambling". THAT'S WHY, partly, she struggles with connecting to people so much.
Oh my fucking god, please get this girl therapy, I'm going to bite my fucking arm off. 10/10 characterization, 10/10 relatability.
Tumblr media
p.s, this is something very commonly seen in neurodivergent kids, ESPECIALLY girls (and I am speaking from my own experience here too). Which adds to my headcanon that Liko is autistic!

hiii! got so excited by this request! i love enemies to lovers (best trope in my opinion). hope you are having a great day too💖
frustrating, intoxicating, complicated — jack champion
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
word count: 1,723
pairing: jack champion x actress!fem!reader
summary: y/n and jack’s determination to get the part of ghostface creates a little rivalry between them. and when they find out their characters have a kissing scene, jack doesn’t hesitates to tease her.
Tumblr media
IT WAS A KNOWING FACT THAT EVERYONE WANTED THE ROLE OF GHOSTFACE. It was the biggest honor, and Y/N didn’t just want it, she yearned it with all her heart. Her mom had introduced Y/N to the franchise when she was little, and ever since then, the love for the Scream movies was something that they shared with passion. And Y/N wanted nothing more than to make her mother proud—she had to get the role of Ghostface.
But there were two problems; one, the directors decided they won’t tell who would play Ghostface until at least half the shooting (as to avoid leakings). And the second one was Jack Champion—he was also going for that role, and he, like Y/N, was acting his ass off to get it.
This triggered a rivalry between them, which was about to get worse because the directors had just handed in the other half of the script—which contained the answered they had been waiting for: who would have the honour of playing Ghostface?
Taking a deep breath, Y/N opened the script and went straight to the end. The feeling of disappointment invaded her chest, but she understood. Her role was still a major one, at least her character doesn’t die. Though, she was not going to lie, the fact that it was Jack the one who got it irked her. She quickly shook off her resentment and went to read the rest of the script.
“No fucking way” she said aloud when she got to certain scene. The whole group looked at her, surprised by the sudden outburst.
“Don’t be sad, Y/N/N. You’re a great actress, not better than me, but still good” the annoying voice of Jack was heard “It was obvious I was going to get it”.
Y/N rolled her eyes “First of all, you’re not better than me, Champion, keep dreaming. Second, you heard the directors; it was not based on performances. And third, I wasn’t taking about the Ghostface part, turn to page 23”.
The whole group opened said page with looks of confusion. The cast—minus Jack and Y/N—exchanged smirks.
Jack’s eyes widened as he took in the words plastered on the white sheet. “Oh god”
“I know! They don’t pay me good enough for me to kiss you” Y/N said trying to repress a smile.
“Hilarious, Y/N/N” the boy rolled his eyes. “Don’t pretend you’re repulsed by me. I catch you staring sometimes, did you know that?”
Their cast mates’ eyes went back and forth between them, completely amused by the scene in front of them.
Y/N scoffed “As if” she totally did. He was just so infuriatingly pretty “My standards aren’t that low, Champion. Besides, I’m not the one who stalks your Instagram”
“Are you implying I look at your profile? You’re delusional” he totally did. She was irritatingly gorgeous.
“Don’t act oblivious with me, Jack. You accidentally liked an old picture and then unliked it. I still got the notification, genius”
Busted “Maybe I wanted to let you know how much I disliked that picture” no, he didn’t. She looked adorable with her panda pjs and with her dog on her lap.
“But you do admit that you check my instagram?” she sent him a teasing grin. Jack bit the inside of his cheeks, he should stop talking.
“Whatever makes you happy” he tried to brush it off, but he was mentally cursing himself for having been so clumsy. He had one job.
“What would make me happy would be erasing that stupid kissing scene” Y/N muttered.
“I’ve been told I’m a great kisser. I’m sure after it you are going to beg me to take you out on a date” Jack smirked, stretching his arms. He was showing off his muscles and it was completely hot irritating.
“Now who’s being delusional?” Y/N scoffed, rolling her eyes.
“Okay, but when it happens I’m so going to tell you ‘I told you so’”
Tumblr media
A WEEK LATER, WHEN Y/N ARRIVED TO THE SET, SHE WAS MET WITH JACK’S TEASING SMILE AND THE REST OF THE CAST’S EXCITEMENT. The girl scoffed at him, which only made him enjoy it more.
“My lovely Y/N, finally! I couldn’t wait to see you” Jack said energetically.
“God, don’t make this day more dreadful. Just shut up, Champion”
“Always so sweet” he pinched her cheek. “Ready for the big scene?
“Ready for it to be over already” Y/N answered.
“Don’t you think we should practice?” he asked, rounding his lips and leaning towards her.
“Careful, Champion. I have been practicing my right hook ever since I met you”
Jack laughed and raised his arms in surrender “Can’t wait for the scene either, lovely” he winked at her before finally leaving her alone.
Tumblr media
Y/N DRAGGED HER FEET TOWARDS JACK’S FIGURE. Everyone had gathered around, all very thrilled to see the kiss.
“Ready?” the director yelled. They both nodded, Jack sent the girl one last smirk before the director yelled “Action!”.
“So, you’re a virgin, huh?” Violet asked Ethan, as they set up the table in the Carpenters’ sisters living room.
“I don’t know why I said that” Violet acted as if he was embarrassed. He was not, he had said it on purpose to build the ‘dorky, innocent virgin guy’ chararcter. “It was quite uncomfortable”.
“A bit” Violet admitted, stifling a laugh.
“It’s okay, you can laugh” Ethan said, trying not to clench his jaw. The virgin part wasn’t an act, he truly was and that’s why he was a little annoyed at her attempt to laugh.
“God, I didn’t mean to act like an asshole” she said in a apologetic tone. “I swear I’m not laughing at you being a virgin, I just thought the way you said it was very random. It’s nothing to be ashamed of, you know that right?”
Ethan’s demeanour was a bit more relaxed “Oh, it’s okay… can I- can I ask you if you ever had… you know” he blushed.
Violet smiled, as if saying it was alright “Only once, and it was fucking awful” she laughed. “I didn’t get to… you know, and he did”
“Oh” Ethan said, he suddenly saw red “What an asshole” he spitted in anger and disbelief. It was then he realized Violet was looking at him with wide eyes and mouth open. “Shit, sorry. I know it’s not any of my business. It just really pissed me off. You deserved better, especially for your first time”.
“It’s okay” she shrugged. “I’m past the stage of anger. It is what it is. Anyways, I have to confess I was a bit surprised by your confession”
“Yeah, right” Ethan laughed, thinking she was being sarcastic.
“No, for real” she said. Ethan inspected her face, trying to look for any sign telling him she was messing with him.
“Why? Literally no one else was surprised”
Y/N looked at Jack, the determination her chararcter was supposed to be feeling reflected in her eyes. “Because you’re attractive, Ethan” she said as if it were obvious.
Jack let the forks fall to the table, showing Ethan was taken aback by the compliment “W-what? You think I’m attractive?”
“I think you’d be surprised by the amount of girls on campus who think you’re attractive” she said with a laugh.
Ethan shook his head “No way”
“Yes, Eth. Trust me, you might think I’m talking bullshit but I’m not. Lots of girls are into shy, smart guys. Besides you’re fricking pretty”
“It doesn’t matter anyway” he said. Violet looked at him in curiosity. “There’s only one girl I’m interested in”.
“Oh, yeah? Who?” Y/N smiled, stepping in front of Jack. The back of his legs hit the edge of the table. He was much taller than Y/N, yet the one who oozed confidence was her—or her character. Or both. Because Jack had been teasing her about the kiss for days, enjoying the way she got irritated, angry and nervous, but right now, he was shaking like an earthquake. And while it was what Ethan was meant to be feeling, Jack wasn’t acting it at all.
“You” he whispered, nervousness shown by his rosy cheeks and quick breaths.
Violet smiled in satisfaction, and grabbed him by the collar of his blue polo “So is it okay if I kiss you?” Ethan looked at her astonished and nodded quickly.
Y/N pulled down from the collar with force, making their lips collide harshly. They instantly melted, and hummed in content. Jack’s arms tightly around Y/N’s lower back to keep her body pressed against his as she stood on her tip-toes. Their lips moved desperately and fast, and they became oblivious to their surroundings—the detail that they were on a set, shooting a movie, and that people were watching them, was completely forgotten.
The two had complained about the kiss ever since they found out, but it was clear to both of them that, deep down, they had been looking forward to the day of the scene. And it showed.
Jasmine—or Mindy—entered the scene, and coughed. Y/N and Jack didn’t pull away like they were supposed to. Maybe her cough wasn’t loud enough, so Jasmine tried again. Yet, nothing. She looked around to find the rest of the crew completely appalled by the scene.
It wasn’t the watchful eyes that made the two teenagers pull away, but their need for oxygen. They looked at each other in shock, and then smiled. It was a mutual understanding—none of them had faked the intensity of the kiss, it had been their own feelings making an appearance, showing how much they liked each other despite their constant arguments and teasing.
“Um, hi? We’re filming a movie? Remember?” the director said, trying not to smile. To say that everyone had been waiting for that day to come was an understatement.
“Sorry” the two blushing messes that were Jack and Y/N answered, though they weren’t sorry at all.
“It’s okay. Let’s do it again. This time, kiss like you were Violet and Ethan, not Y/N and Jack. Got it?” they both nodded.
“So, about that date I was going to beg you to have after you shocked me with your kissing skills…” she said, with a funny smile.
Jack laughed “I told you so” he teased, and then kissed her cheek “I’ll pick you up at 8”.

Just read a comment under a magireco Madoka's magical girl sequence that said "now Madoka is a badass" and I was like HUH
Like did some of you watched episode 12 blindfolded and with ear plugs? Because I don't think you guys truly grasp the scope of what Madoka did that episode: The Incubator has been on earth for a MILLENNIUM, meaning that has been thousand of girls before Madoka who have tried to outsmart his system and met a terrible fate for their attempts, but only Madoka has been able to beat him, do you guys understand that? The smartest and strongest girls have tried, but something always thwarted their plans—be it their potential not being that high or Kyuubey twisting their words so it would be in his favor instead—But Madoka had something they didn't and it was her circumstances (Homura and the timeloops), Madoka knew her wish would come at a great sacrifice, but just like Homura said in Rebellion "She rose to the occasion" because she knew it was something only she could do; No one would ever have the perfect circumstances to make that wish like Madoka. So, she did it.
When Madoka made her wish and Kyuubey hesitated for the first time in the series because he understood the implication of it, Madoka said to him: "Now, grant my wish, Incubator." When Kriemhild Gretchen was born and Kyuubey thought he had the advantage back again because this witch could literally swallow a planet and Madoka killed her with one shot. Madoka won, essentially. Like her system isn't perfect, Kyuubey isn't dead, and there's still suffering, but it was the best wish for the magical girl kind as a whole, and all improvements are only possible by what Madoka did here. She played within the Incubator's system and rewrote it. She is the most powerful character in the whole franchise and arguably one of the most powerful characters in anime. "But didn't Homucifer defeated Madokami?" Well, sort of. Homura's win is, ironically, also due to extreme circumstances, only Homura could've done that and only within this one scenario: and even when she won it's heavily implied that if Madoka even has a slightly moment of deja vu it's over for her, she can't win against Madoka on fair terms so even Homura herself can't achieve that feat again. That's just how powerful Madoka is.
Do you guys understand that?
And here's the thing: my problem with that statement isn't even that I don't think magireco Madoka isn't as cool as Madokami, I think she's badass too. Is just like, I thought we all thought Madoka was cool as herself?? Like even without being a magical girl or a fucking godess, Madoka was cool as shit. When Madoka risked her own life to save the lives of her friends and strangers at the warehouse? She had no powers, no backup, and had just watched Mami die to a witch and yet she still followed Hitomi. But people only want to see Madoka's character as what the witch showed her afterwards, her own survivors guilt and perceived weakness and cowardice over wanting to live and not be a magical girl despite what she promised Mami, and yet the scene prior to this conflicts with this idea. Madoka not only can risk her life for others and save them when the need arises, but she already has. Even without being a magical girl. It's just who she is. This, to me, is one Madoka Magica's core strenght as a show that Madoka spent the majority of it being the most "powerless" in almost every scenario and yet she still tried her best to overcome things, even when it didn't work It was never worthless, if anything it proved her own strenght of character and without it she would've never gotten as powerful how she is today.
If Madoka hadn't been kind to Homura on her first day of school, if she hadn't done the simple act of reaching out to someone she thought was kind shy, none of this would've have happened. Her kindness did this, not any other power.
My favorite thing about Madoka's character arc is that Madoka starts as a very naive opmitimisc girl and with a somewhat sheltered view of of the world, then she goes throught horrors few can understand and while she could (understably) become bitter with the world and grow to despise it, Madoka comes of it realizing...she was right. Madoka has felt the pain the world could give her in her own skin, has literally died, and she now thinks Hope is needed more than ever. And it saddens me a lot when people don't understand how strong and cool she is because of that, to be hurt and choose to be kinder and more understanding to yourself and the world in return, because the world can be better we just can't give up...
Basically what I'm saying with this that if you don't like Kaname Madoka, fuck you—

PROPAGANDA
CHI-CHI (DRAGON BALL)
1.) okay so to start at the beginning, she was introduced as a young kid but they put her in a super revealing bikini styled outfit. pretty sure it was supposed to be armor too, so besides just being a disgusting design choice even in-universe it’s impractical. but besides that she was pretty charming as a kid, she was cute and funny and pretty tough, and had a cool gimmick in her blade/ laser helmet. even when she reappeared in late Dragon Ball, she was a bit abrasive but was overall rational and kind. she was strong enough to make it into the World Martial Arts Tournament, one of only 16 to qualify.
but come Dragon Ball Z and on, she’s reduced to just a shrill, nagging, aggressive wife and mother. all she gets to do is cook, worry, and berate her husband and sons. her physical strength is only used so she can comically hit Goku. sure its played for laughs, but he’s shown to be afraid of her. I only recall her leaving her house once or twice in DBZ. just the worst mother character stereotype, with nothing left to make her likeable. she’s portrayed as irrational but despite her aggressiveness, half the time her wants are completely reasonable. can’t blame a woman for not wanting her husband to die every other day!! her writing us ass but I still love her and she deserves better!!!
2.) So in Dragon Ball she wasn’t the BEST character to start out with. Toriyama hasn’t ever been the best at writing women or not making stupid fucking sex jokes about them. So she had to deal with that. The outfit she wore as a kid was… NOT GREAT. Let’s say that! Then in late Dragon Ball her entire character revolves around Goku and trying to marry him, which she gets by tricking Goku and getting beaten by Goku in a tournament in one hit. Not off to a great start. Then Z started and Toriyama just… gave her an ENTIRELY NEW new personality, and that new personality was just a stereotype of a tiger mom. Regardless of how correct she might’ve been about letting Gohan fight (and she WAS completely correct, he was 5-6 for a HUGE chunk of Z) the narrative frames her as a hysterical and unreasonable woman nagging at the menfolk and not letting them do things. So naturally people hate her without even considering why she’s upset because the story itself frames her as in-the-wrong. The whole franchise also just forgets that she’s a martial artist and never has her DO ANYTHING.
This is only scratching the surface, there’s a LOT more because the franchise is like 40 years old and we’d be here all day.
Tumblr media
3.) GODDDD okay so full disclosure i guess shonen is such an easy pick but like. out of every shonen wife she was and is THE most hated by the narrative and creator (maybe tied with sakura omfg). shes always made out to be a beast, got her fighting skills shafted after she got married, was always played like she was hysterical for worrying about her kid dying in battle, and not to mention the creator actively HATES her. like toriyama just straight up hates writing her. its bad. its really bad. shes just “bitch wife” but for no reason :(
BUMBLE (WARRIOR CATS) (CW: Domestic Abuse)
1.) Back with another Warriors submission, I bet you’ll be getting a lot from other people too LMAO. Bumble is a kittypet (housecat) who befriends the male protagonist Gray Wing’s girlfriend, Turtle Tail, and lets her stay in her house. This gets Gray Wing all pissy because he’s controlling of Turtle Tail and shares most of the wild/clan cat’s proclivity for looking down upon kittypets. Turtle Tail gets pregnant by another kittypet, Tom, who tries to control her by hiding the fact that humans take away kittens after they’re born. Eventually Bumble comes clean about it so Turtle Tail returns to the forest. Some time later, Bumble is found in the forest seeking refuge because Tom has been physically abusing her, scratching her where the humans can’t see. So, she’s CANONICALLY ACKNOWLEDGED as a domestic abuse victim (unlike Squirrelflight who meets all the textbook signs but the narrative and authors deny it). How do you think our good guy protagonists, i.e. Gray Wing “The Wise” and Turtle Tail, respond to an abuse victim seeking refuge? They tell Bumble to go home, thinking to themselves that she’s fat and soft and therefore would be useless in their group. Bumble stands up for herself and asks to speak with the leaders of the group. One of them asks if Bumble could just get along with Tom better (bro???) and when Bumble says it’s not within her control, the leader suggests being nicer to the humans instead. Another rival leader butts in and verbally abuses Bumble again by ripping into how fat and lazy and useless she would be. Despite Turtle Tail having been friends with Bumble and Bumble had helped her through her own hard times, to Gray Wing’s approval Turtle Tail chooses not to intervene as Bumble is forcibly escorted back to her abuser. But that’s not all. Later Bumble is found in the forest maimed and dying, and it seems likely that Gray Wing’s brother Clear Sky, a male with a long history of violence, is the culprit. Rather than mourn the dying innocent cat, Gray Wing’s primary concern is how other cats might be mean to Clear Sky if they think he’s a murderer, and reassures himself that refusing to help Bumble in her time of need was still the right decision.
2.) I have no idea how she managed to be written so horrifically from an abuse victim and woman (/she-cat I guess) standpoint but here we are. Okay so my memory is a bit fuzzy but basically Bumble was a character in Dawn of the Clans and a close friend to Turtle Tail, a major character, as well as a character who lived close to Tom, an abusive dickhead of a cat. Bumble was largely depicted as just a really sweet cat. Turtle Tail was very briefly the mate of Turtle Tail, but once she got pregnant, he became super violent towards both her and our gal Bumble. Tom actively hid the fact that, once her kits were old enough, Turtle Tail’s kits would probably be taken from her, and made Bumble keep quiet about this too, but Bumble eventually told Turtle Tail the truth, Turtle Tail left and Tom became extremely violent towards Bumble because of this, and was extremely abusive towards her. Eventually, Bumble ran away from him to where Turtle Tail and co were and begged to stay, since the wilderness as a whole was genuinely more safe than being around Tom was. Naturally, this meant kitty xenophobia from cats who had only arrived in that area recently, because everybody was insistent than, since she was a kittypet/house cat, things wouldn’t work out, and even her friend Turtle Tail denied her on this, insisted she was too soft to live in the wild and only sent her towards a cat Bumble wanted to convince because she was absolutely certain she’d be denied. Also our good old protagonist Gray Wing got to spend this scene being all upset about this soft cat wanting to join them to escape an abuser and was all bitter about the fact that Turtle Tail lived with her for a short period of time, and he also got to have a sweet romantic moment with Turtle Tail after denying an abuse victim an escape from her abuser. Also as much as I like Tall Shadow usually she sucked ass in the following scene because she was essentially telling Bumble to go find a way to make peace with Tom as if she was not the one being abused (Bumble pointed out that Tom was the one who would need to make peace for it to happen, not her) and that she should just make life better by going back to being a housecat and being spoiled despite the fact that she was actively at risk with her owners because of Tom. Then she leaves after being threatened by several cats there and is called soft on the way out. The next time she appears she is literally dying, and her death is just a plot device to create a stupid little mystery which is solved in a very stupid way. Also her abuser does continue to be a shithead and for some reason is fully permitted to kidnap his own children but he also gets a heroic death and the only reason I will not rant more about him is because this is too long already. Long story short Bumble deserves the world and everybody who decided not to let her escape her abuser just because they thought she was soft sucks
3.) Is nice to the group of starving, feral wild cats that left the mountains so their friends and family could have more food to eat and befriends one of them to the point of opening her home to her after she leaves the group because the guy she likes is too dumb to notice she likes him and keeps falling for his brother’s love interests.
Unfortunately, because Bumble is a house cat who lives in a house with people and not a Wild and Free cat, this is a grave and horrible crime (luring a wild cat into the safety and comforts of domesticity) and is villainized for the rest of the arc, including for things wildly out of her control
I.E.
Her owners taking in an aggressive male cat that bullies and abuses the two female cats already living there
When Bumble’s friend leaves and goes back to the wild cats, Bumble leaves her home (as the abuse as has gotten worse) to see if she could either get help or have her friend return so the abuse isn’t as bad again)
Bumble eventually dies in the wild because the feral cats all hate her for ‘stealing’ their friend and tricking her into becoming a kittypet for awhile and refuse to help Bumble adjust to wild life or even teaching her how to hunt.
They are littl e to no hard feelings at her death beyond ‘good riddance’ but the aggressive tomcat that chased her out of her home is later regarded with good feelings and regret at such a ‘good, heroic cat’ passing when he dies despite him literally never doing a good or kind thing in his life and actually causing trouble for the wild cats right before dying

TOWL SPOILERS BELOW!!!!!!
enough time has passed and i’m impatient so here it is. episode two debriefing! ❤️‍🔥
danai and andy’s chemistry is unparalleled and has never been executed so well before by any other actors. their words, emotions, and energy into bringing these characters to life in such a tender way is something absolutely so enigmatic and goshshfgshdhsn i just love them. i love their dynamic and their power to create such an immaculate foundation that will always be such a memorable piece for all of us as fans of this franchise. 🫶🏼
michonne and nat deserved more time. point blank period. i sobbed violently and had to pause the episode for ten minutes. i loved his dynamic with michonne and how much impact his character had in under 40 minutes of screen time. missing him forever and ever. and not to be an asshole but their relationship is what the dude-bros wanted rick and okafor’s association to be ! tell me i’m wrong.
dana from a group of 40 people with her sister el. yaaaas go girl! she’s a b your honor please believe her!!! she’s totally not a badass powerhouse wife and mother of two who’s experienced more in her life than the crm ever have!!!
it’s FUCK the crm forever actually. CHLORINE GAS? killing the pregnant lady and her boyfriend???? im distraught. the most disgusting group of people to ever exist apart from the saviors. hoping to see their entire base burn to the ground by the end of this series !!!! <3
RICHONNE REUNITING AFTER CHOOSING TO GIVE UP HOPE TO FIND EACH OTHER 😭😭😭 the universe loves them soooo much they’re like this 🤞 when it comes to fate. i am still actively emotional over all of their scenes. they’re sooo in love with each other it hurts. i’m still on cloud nine just from seeing them kiss (and moan omg!) so excuse me. ❤️‍🩹
michonne cradling rick’s face and rick nuzzling into her hands? THAT IS HER BABY POOKIE SUGAR PLUM CRISP. keep them together! they cannot be separated!
jadis can die with all due disrespect. she ruined everything. it’s been her fault since the start. she separated them. she’s the reason that rj doesn’t know his father and only knows of his legendary stories. fuck her. d*e!
rick asking about jude multiple times :((( his baby. bring him home to his kids PLEASE. must’ve been such a shocker to hear him ask about his daughter and not daryl or negan oh no! abused, kidnapped father finds the love of his life and wants to make sure that their daughter is still okay after being away from her for a decade! SHOCKER! WOW. this is shocking news! 🙀
the scenes of michonne and nat having to rebuild their health after the chlorine gas bomb was so heartbreaking but powerful. michonne working out and continuing to push herself by being reminded of her strength, grief, and love. she is so strong and i’m so proud of her. i hate the crm.
“shoto? shoto?” PUNCHING ME IN THE GUT WOULD HURT LESS. meanwhile judith is also trying to reach out but their signal is too far gone for them to do so. 😭 pleaseeee i just need one future scene of them reuniting. michonne loves them so much she is the best mother ever. ❤️‍🩹
okay!!!!! that’s all that i have for now. still collecting my thoughts after this episode but i love my tv parents more than life. so happy to have them back and i can’t wait for the next four episodes!!!!!!!

Hellooo can I request an Amber Freeman x Reader fic, where both of them are already girlfriends. Skipping forward third act has happened and Reader can’t believe what’s going on. R feels betrayed and scared but when Gale and Sidney are about to shoot Amber, R says f**k it, picks up Amber and runs outside with her. R cleans the hand sanitizer from Amber’s face and drives away while Amber is just sitting next to them like: “you… you still want to be with me??”
Just some angst with fluff at the end, thank you!
Sure! Enjoy
Warnings - angst, violence, character death
You had met Amber when transferring to Woodsborough High. She was the first person you interacted with, asking if you needed some help getting to class.
She was painfully attractive, and you almost stuttered when replying yes - you would indeed like that.
Two weeks later, some guy in the class made a comment about awkward new girls. When Amber punched him in the face - that’s the moment you knew that fell for her.
You easily integrated into her friendship group, being quite a shy person, you were happy enough to sit on the sidelines and let either Mindy or Amber do the talking.
Things felt good, and by the way you always caught Amber staring, you knew your feelings must be reciprocated. Only two weeks later, she invited you around her house for a stab movie marathon and kissed you.
The following week, you were girlfriends and everything just felt right. Amber was everything you’d never had before: caring, attentive.
She drove you to school each morning, fired back sarcastic quips and insults at the frat guys who liked to make fun of your quiet nature.
You liked feeling wanted. How when you would occasionally agree to go to parties, her arm would grip your waist hard enough you wondered if it would bruise.
She was possessive. In ways most people would probably not be able to handle. Always keeping her eyes on you. Not that you minded, speaking truthfully you liked the attention.
A year passed and your relationship was growing stronger by the day. You were too consumed with the happiness to notice how Amber begun to change slightly.
Her obsession with all things dark and violent increased. Most of your movie dates would consist of watching the Stab franchise until you got bored and begged Amber to fuck you. Her only favourite pastime above scary movies.
You weren’t a massive fan of scary movies personally. You only watched them in the first place to indulge Amber’s obsession.
Of course you knew the Sidney Prescott story. Everyone did. But you never actually expected something like that to happen again. Certainly not to you or your friends.
You're with Amber when she get’s the call about Tara. They were best friends, the closest in the group.
Although you got on with Tara too, your friendship was strained because Amber was convinced she had a crush on you.
It felt surreal to stand in the hospital room, to see Tara lying terrified in the bed covered in bandages and various wounds.
She was a sweet girl. No one even gave her trouble at school. The thought that someone warranted enough rage to cause such damage, scared you beyond reason.
You stated over at Amber’s place that night. Your parents were long dead and hers were away at a conference which made it easier.
She held you tight as you wore one of her sweaters and kissed your forehead as she promised that no one would ever touch you.
The sentiment you appreciated, but you thought there would be little your girlfriend could do to stop a relentless serial killer.
Over the following days, Wes and his mother were killed which left you all more on edge. Amber suggests a party, an idea you vehemently oppose.
It seemed like a terrible idea. The chance for more killings to happen in one place. But your girlfriend was insistent, hand clasping your wrist as she ensured you that she would die first before letting anyone lay a hand on you.
There was a dark look in her eye that made you somehow believe her despite the situation, and you caved in - changing into a short dress and letting Amber pull you around the party to drink beer.
Things were going well until they weren’t. Tara and Sam arrived, alongside Sam’s boyfriend Richie who you noticed kept shooting your girlfriend strange looks.
It seems like a blur, gathered in the front room whilst Liv returns sobbing, covered in blood - apparently having found Chad.
The loss of another friend makes you even more terrified, barely giving your mind time to grieve all of the losses as you worry for your survival.
Then Amber pulls out a gun from nowhere and plants a bullet between Liv’s eyes.
Thats when everything changes.
Everyone screams and all you can remember is hiding. Crouching in a closet and sobbing because your kind, protective girlfriend is a serial killer who butchered your friends.
You hear the voices outside, the chaos of objects breaking - people running. You recognise two new voices, who you can only guess to be Sidney and Gale.
The police will come soon, you rationalise. This will all be over. But then what?
You can’t see a way forward. Amber will either be arrested, killed or kill everyone else.
A thought crosses your mind. Would she kill you?
Although you just watched her kill the closest friends she’s ever had, a part of you knows that she’d never hurt you. The dark looks and increased possessiveness seems to make sense now.
You head a loud scream. This time coming from Amber, and your legs move on their own accord. She stands in the kitchen, hands outstretched as she faces Gale and Sidney, brandishing a gun.
Her eyes are wide and she’s scared. You can tell. You don’t know her the way she knows you. Her mind works differently, you see this now.
But she’s scared and she’s about to die. There’s some sort of liquid covering her face, and you recognise her parents fancy jar of hand sanitizer.
The flames of the hob behind her roar, and despite everything - all the death, you can’t lose the one person whose always loved you.
Your legs propel you forward with a newfound energy, and you topple into Gale hard. She groans loud, falling forward with the momentum and landing against the flames.
You pick up the gun, aiming it at Sidney. This isn’t you. You aren’t a killer and you don’t want to hurt anyone. But this is Amber. And she can’t die. You can’t lose her.
“I don’t want to hurt you” you tell Sidney, and hopes she believes you. “I really really don’t”
Amber is watching you. She doesn’t look as scared now, more intrigued. Her eyes are wide, comically so. You ignore her for the moment and focus on Sidney.
”We’re leaving” you explain, grabbing Amber’s hand tight and holding the gun in the other. Your mind is racing and you don’t know what’s happening.
Sidney let’s you go. You don’t know if she believes your words or she’s frightened to be shot again. But she lets you go.
You don’t understand why Amber would do this. Sidney had been through enough so you had to spare her. You half expected your girlfriend to grab the gun, but she’s uncharacteristically silent as you head to the garage.
”Get in” you nod at the passenger seat, climbing in the front and pulling away quickly. It won’t be long before the police are on their way so you have to leave town quick.
”What are you doing?” Amber breaks the silence twenty minutes later. She’s still watching you with that expression, awe perhaps.
You don’t reply, searching around for the sight of a cop car. But it’s late and the roads are empty. “I...” you start, then shake your head.
“We need to leave. Get out of town. The country. Soon”
Her eyes blink at this and she rears her head like a horse bolting. “We?”
You meet her eyes for the first time that night. “I don’t understand why you did what you did. I can’t pretend to. But I can’t pretend that I still don’t love you after everything”
You shake your head, looking back at the road. “Maybe that makes me a bad person. A selfish person. But I love you. So we’re leaving”
She nods. Contemplating your words. “I would have never hurt you”
The words aren’t exactly soft, but you hear the honesty in them. “I know” you reply, and think maybe that’s why you saved her.
The drive to Mexico is quicker than you expect, the roads being empty. You ditch the car - pushing it into a lake and go on foot, waiting to cross through the tunnels.
Amber can’t stop looking at you with that same expression and you notice her face, still a mess. You lift up your shirt to wipe away the sanitiser.
“There we go” you murmur, and she catches your gaze. “I don’t know if I can stop myself from doing it again”
She’s giving you an out, you realise. Acknowledging who she is. Not promising to change, to be better. Truth be told, maybe you’ve always known there was a darkness, a rage inside of her.
You only nod, and tuck her head against your chest, hands stroking her raven hair. “I know” you reply, and release her to link hands instead.
“I know” you repeat, heading into the tunnels without looking back.

Hello everyone, welcome to the Horror Lady Tournament: Video Game edition
Tumblr media
In the previous tournament, multiple fucked up horror movie women faced off to see who was the best, and Carrie White won! (so she will just kinda. Remain the icon.) However, I was willing to do this again but with video games this time.
The roster is full now, but here were the rules for submissions!
Only characters that originate in a video game, please.
Only one character per game/franchise, sorry DBD girlies
They have to be at least a little morally wrong. Fran Bow is basically the moral ground line and it’s mostly because someone submitted her for the horror movie one so I was kinda pressured to include her even though she’s a stretch
No Poopy Pisstime or Painbow Fiends. I will accept Garten of Banban and I don’t really wanna explain why that’s ok but the others aren’t it’s a little complicated
Anyways, the starting 16 characters are…
Lady Dimitrescu, from Resident Evil
Fran Bow
The Nurses from Silent Hill
Charlie/The Marionette, from Five Nights At Freddy’s
Spooky, from Spooky’s Jumpscare Mansion
The Huntress, from Dead By Daylight
Mama, from Tattletail
Six, from Little Nightmares
HER, from IMSCARED
Uboa, from Yume Nikki
The Little Sisters from Bioshock
Amy, from FAITH The Unholy Trilogy
The Queen, from OFF
Karin, from Cooking Companions
Junko Enoshima, from Danganronpa
And Monika, from Doki Doki Literature Club!
And the characters submitted by viewers like you are…
Aya Drevis, from Mad Father
Misao Furukawa, from Misao
Beatrice Ushiromiya, from Umineko
Mary, from IB
Alice Liddel, from American McGee’s Alice
Patient 07/the Jammies Ghost, from phasmophobia
Sue Miley, from Your Turn to Die
Grimora, from Incryption
Lisa, from PT
The Sculptor, from Identity V
Daniella, from Hunting Ground
Venna, from Crowscare
Ellen, from The Witch’s House
Amanda the Adventurer/Rebecca Colton
Alice Angel, from Bendy and the Ink Machine
The Reaper Nurses, from Dark Deception
I hope you all have fun!
…And thank you all, for giving me a chance to compete!

Percy,Miles and Jason are very important to me as the 'los tres amigos' trope because it's exactly a dynamic that fits and benefits all three of them
Miles is a soft sunshine boy who's clearly trans and autistic and a troubled kid so Percy would date adopt him as her little brother within three days TOPS of knowing him like she does every other character like that she meets in canon and Jason and her are the perfect setup for her classic enemies to frenemies due to being forced to work together to ride or die best friends she had with Thalia,Clarisse,Zoe and more and Miles is so sweet but has the same mouth running she does and Jason shares it too but he's got the same mean attitude she does so it's a perfect balance and she's got nothing to do with Bruce because they met straight after Utrh as a metaphor for Jason letting Bruce go for people he actually needs and wants and she ends up being part kryptonian because of old Jackson interdimensional shenanigans so Clark's her new dad instead of Poseidon's deadbeat ass and she can actually enjoy the revelation after processing it because it's a Sally thing
Miles never gets included in crossovers despite his whole franchise being about interdimensional hoping and making platonic soulmates along the way and the most recent installment having him break canon word for word because he knows better and i think we all know WHY the DC fandom obsessively ignores him despite their famous motto and why him and Percy have zero content together despite all their parallels but as someone who's read everything Jason's in and watched and played most of his adaptions and games,i know for a fact he's the only male superhero Jason would instantly like and that Miles would be fond of him back and there's good angst and darker storylines potential with Jason not outright telling him what he does for a living and the leadup and aftermath to the reveal and Percy being willing to kill too from the start makes things all the more interesting and on a lighter note, they'd give him special treatment 24/7 and initially only stick to eachother for his sake and their influence makes him tougher and more self-confident and he gets a Blue Lantern ring and Apollo's Blessing out of pure awe at his sheer artistic talent and love for his craft
And Jason gets an actual legit canon team, something DC has NEVER given him the grace of and yeah that's a pun but fr his and Artemis' dynamic and her lore remixes are literally the only good thing to come out Rhato.Instead of the Roy and Kory fuckery,Jason gets Miles, who he genuinely likes as a person and loves hanging out with and he fumbles sometimes but is good older brother at the end of the day and Miles makes him be good again without even trying just like he does pretty much everybody he interacts with that's got some fucked up shit going on and Percy, who's allowed to be not just a female lead but a trans woman one and is on equal grounds with him because again,he actually likes who she is and loves spending time with her inspite of their bickering and Miles and Percy get powerUPS instead of powerDOWNED and are allowed to be just as their own as him instead of walking talking props that aren't even good for him, much less him them. Also,Spider Mutant Jason that ended up that way because of constant exposure to Miles' spiderperson dna + Lazarus Pit dna + Middle name is deadass 'Peter' and he learns how to make special greek mythos items for backup
It's such a random ass crossover on the surface but there's a reason it's and they're called The Anomalies!!!They're supposed to be weird, not fuckass sanatized fandom tropes, they're supposed to find home in eachother, they're supposed to be stories told in the form of characters and sick as fuck powers and layered jokes and wholesome cheesiness that feels genuine because it IS genuine on my part and everybody else i've gotten into it has the same feelings on them i do!!!!Call me Odysseus the way i care them so much🤞🏾🤞🏾🤞🏾

Godzilla Minus One thoughts (SPOILERS)
TLDW: Godzilla Minus One is easily one of the all time best films in the franchise so far. While it isn't my personal favorite, it absolutely deserves the praise fans and critics seem to be giving it. Outside from some personal nitpicks, I'd say this entry is worthy of standing shoulder-to-shoulder with the best.
10/10
THOUGHTS AND SPOILERS BELOW THE CUT!!! GO SEE IT!!!!!!
Boy does this movies come in swinging! Koichi setting up the main conflict of feeling like he is a coward (he's not, as the movie goes on to point out) and then the whiplash of GODZILLASAURUS
I know its just an unmutated Godzilla but HOLY FUCK the similarities are there and I love the design.
Personal nitpick #1: was hoping the movies would go more in depth with the origin of its Godzilla but the movies isn't really about what Godzilla is but rather what he does and represents to the story. As a result they don't really say what he is other than he is known to Odo Island's folklore. I like that, it gives him a mysterious vibe.
I gasped because I thought he ate a guy be then he yeeted him
Poor Koichi Can't Catch a Break the Movie
Noriko was great. It's clear she isn't used to being looked after and it shows.
Speaking of which, ALL the characters are wonderful. The Reiwa era looks like it is being defined by stronger human characters and stories and I am all here for that!
I'm actually surprised that the trailers (or at least the 2 I watched) didn't show to much Godzilla action. Or at least the final battle.
Godzilla REALLY has it out for folks in this movie. That lack of a clear origin helps actually. His attacks are sudden and brutal. He is REALLY visibly pissed off too.
SPEAKING OF BRUTAL HOLY FUCK!!! For as much damage Godzilla does to everyone, he gets FUCKED UP! Half his face blasted off! It's cool the see his regeneration ability realized in CG
Personal Nitpick #2: I do wish they had made Godzilla a more obviously tragic character. He is just as much a victim of war as he is a symbol of it. Again though, that isn't what this movie is about, and the ending does at least suggest a sequel isn't completely out of the question, so maybe we can still see why Godzilla decided that All Humans Are Bad.
His atomic breath is wild man. Creating mushroom clouds and massive creators is some nightmare fuel shit.
NORIKO NOOOOOOOOO :(
(dont worry she lives)
The plan to kill Godzilla was interesting. Explosive decompression is not really the first thing I would have thought up for a sea monster that brings up deep sea fish but the speed at which it happens is important.
KOICHI NOOOOOO (its okay he ejected)
Personal Nitpick #3:... I don't really like how they defeated Godzilla. I thought it was overkill. Like, yeah I get that Koichi needs to have is moment and all but blowing his head up I thought was a little much. and then he crumbles away? I guess he was frozen? Cool visual though. I imagine it was hell to convince Toho to have Godzilla die that way.
I heard Yamazaki was a big GMK fan, and the last scene really makes it obvious. I wonder if he isn't available for a sequel, Yamazaki would request Kaneko to direct...
Hey Noriko is alive!!!! Hey what's that on her neck? Why does it look like Godzilla's dorsal plate? Oh God Please Let Koichi Be Happy He Has Been Through Too Much.
The overall message of the movie is so goddamn moving, Live. That isn't a request, that's an order, a demand. Live, you should be happy to be alive. You may not think it, but people love you. People can forgive you. You don't deserve to die. Live and fight for the next generation so they don't make our mistakes. It is tough but you and people around you can make it better. You. Will. Live.

Well, it's been a full week since Gundam: The Witch From Mercury has ended, and God, I miss it already.
This was a special show to me, and no joke, it might have made my top five anime of all time. There was just something wonderful about getting invested in a series while it was still running and tuning in week by week and having time to really digest what I've seen before the next episode hit. Granted, I marathoned all of season one and only checked it out because of the SLAP, but even so. It was a wild ride.
And not in the least because wow, a canon wlw couple in a massively mainstream franchise like Gundman, one that ends up getting unambiguously married, and it's not treated like a joke, not played for fanservice, and doesn't portray one of them as a horny molester. That is kind of huge and groundbreaking. And yeah, I am ride or die for SuleMio. They're like number two of my favorite anime couples, second only to KyoSaya, and they actually have the advantage of bursting out of the subtext into undeniable TEXT.
What's funny is that I remember being a little put off by their dynamic in season one. Despite all the hype, there was this weird distance between them, one that was very unromantic, to the point where I started to wonder if they even liked each other in that way, or if it was just a political thing. But then they had their WONDERFUL zero gravity argument, where it was revealed that this was actually a deliberate writing choice, and Suletta and Miorine's differences in backgrounds, ways of thinking, toxic upbringings, and difficulties communicating were going to be obstacles that they had to overcome. And watching them struggle with those problems and make multiple mistakes was honestly far more captivating then a cliched lovey-dovey relationship would have ever been. And seeing them finally come together and get their happy ending was well worth the wait.
But even beyond the main couple, this show fucked. The mech fights were all hype, everything was gorgeously animated, all the side characters were all unique and likeable (seriously, I was making an effort to remember everyone's names, even the throwaway characters with barely any lines), the music was OUTSTANDING (Red: Birthmark still gives me chills) and I still hold that Lady Prospera was not only one of the best and most interesting antagonists in a long time, but she is still one hundred percent Grade A Space MILF.
Still would.
Did it have it's problems? Of course it did. I agree that the last few episodes did feel really rushed, with stuff like the Calibarn and the big space laser suddenly showing up and being super important despite never even being mentioned. All the names of the different organizations were hard to keep track of, even though it was really important to the plot, and there was a lot going on that I felt could have stood to have room to breathe. Honestly, I don't know why WFM only got half the usual amount of episodes for a Gundam show, as it could really used a few more.
And yes, I would have loved to have seen the wedding and a kiss. I know, it's Japan, and Gundam doesn't usually have kissing, but after all that build up!
Still, what we got was still wonderful, and I'm glad that for as shaky as it got, it still stuck the landing.
I'm gonna miss this show. I'm really gonna miss it.

Just saw Thor Love and Thunder and I need to talk about it so read ahead at your own risk.
First of all, i love the fucking goats they are the star of the show.
Okay now onto the movie. I loved it. One of the funniest and most heart wretching films I had ever seen. The casting is always incredible with Taika films and they did another amazing job. I am so happy to see Natalie Portman return.
I will say that her Jane Foster with cancer was not a surprise seeing as though that is what happened in the comics. However I was surprised to see her death at the end of the film. I truly thought that it was going to follow the comics and have Jane become the new Thor and the og Thor would either die or step down. Her death did make me cry but it was nice to get a proper closure for Thor and Janes relationship and even finding out how they broke up in the first place.
Thor in the film was hilarious and I loved to see his growth as a character. To see his struggle with depression and PTSD and even take advice from Peter Quill who is someone we have learned he does not have the best relationship with. Him learning about the corrupt power system in what im guessing was Mount Olympus because i do not remember what it is actually called was incredible. Him learning that he was on his own and would ultimately have to face this fight alone was somewhat sad but seeing him literally rip one through Zeus was amazing.
Valkyrie my true king, I love you. She is the best character in this series and seeing her go one on one with Gor??? Incredible. I literally was about to cry because i thought she was dead but im glad she lived. Also when she kissed Zeus' maid on the hand i was dying because I wanted that to be me.
Korg had mw sobbing. This dude literally almost died and then ended up making a baby with a man named DWAYNE? Adorable. 10/10.
Also fucking Axel??? HEIMDALS SON??? YES PLEASE HE WAS ADORABLE!! Iloved his interactions with Thor and I see him playing a huge part in the future movies.
Christian fucking bale this man scared the fuck out of me. He is the creepiest MCU villain thus far. He does an amazing job portraying the same character with split personalities after being corrupted. His character was complex and really dug into religion as well for it being a marvel film. With it being a controversial topic right now I think that many will not take to it lightly. However his performance was incredible. Another masterpiece for him and another DC actor converted to marvel.
But seriously the ending threw me through a loop. With the way things were going in Eternity, I truly thought that Jane and Thor were going to raise his daughter together. But seeing Jane die in Thors arms like that? I was sobbing in the theatre.
The first post credit scene somewhat confirmed for me that thor was going to die soon. With Zeus still living and calling upon Hercules its kinda a given. Will Herc kill Thor? Most likely. Will Herc live? I doubt it. I think that they will end up either killing each other or Thors new niece will end his life.
The second post credit scene. This had the whole theatre gasping. Imagine it. Everyone is talking, sotting around, waiting to see if the lights turn on or if there's a second post credit scene. Then, the gold sparks appear on screen. Within a matter of two seconds, everyone was back in their seats and the theater was silent. We see Jane appear at the Gates of Val Halla. And who is there to greet her? Heimdal. Literally everyone gasped when seeing him. And sadly, after Jane had lost her battle with cancer, she was allowed into the great hall of gods, who have all lost their lives in their own battles.
Overall this was my favorite thor movie. I love Natalie Portman and Chris Hemsworth on screen together. They have great chemistry and work so well together. Im happy she was able to get a proper farewell for the franchise and got the proper treatment she deserved for her work. I cant wait to see what comes next when Thor returns.

Before You Go // Ethan Landry // Ch.2
Tumblr media
Masterlist Word Count: 1277 Warnings: swearing, depictions of violence and harm, trauma Author's note: I've written so much of this fic already and it's been two days, I am on a ROLL
After moving to New York with your friends after the Woodsboro killings, you try to leave all of it behind you and start over. You become friends with Ethan Landry, but after Ghostface returns, you start to become suspicious of everyone, especially him.
Turns out you weren’t the only one who had an encounter with Ghostface in the forty-eight hours after the frat party. You had gone to the sleepover at the Carpenter’s apartment and decided to skip class the next day, electing to stay in your room watching Golden Girls.
Tara and Sam had barely made it out of a bodega alive after seeing Ghostface on the street. Not only that, your film teacher had been gutted in an alley by one of your classmates.
Mindy and Anika had dragged you out to the quad for a mandatory meeting, but you could barely concentrate on what they were saying. Your body felt numb and your hands hadn’t stopped shaking since your conversation with Ghostface. Memories of your last encounter with the faceless killer kept flooding your mind despite your best attempts to forget.
The three of you were the last ones to arrive. Sam and Tara looked exhausted, Quinn and Chad were bickering about something, and Ethan was scrolling on his phone. You sat next to Ethan, who gave you a small smile.
“Listen up nerds, as terrifying as it is, I’m glad I get a chance to redeem myself for not calling the killers last time.” Mindy stood in front of the group with a determined look on her face. You let out a sigh; it was time to hear the rules once again. “The way I see it, they’re making a sequel to the requel.”
“What’s a requel?” Anika asked. Mindy shook her head.
“You’re beautiful, save the questions for the end.”
“Hold on.” You raised a hand. “Are they trying to copy the movies now?”
“Yes, that makes sense. We are in college now.” Mindy nodded. “Y/N, you know what I’m talking about.”
You stood. “Well, let’s think about this. This isn’t just a sequel anymore.”
“Wait why?” Tara asked.
“This is a mother effing franchise.” You began to pace back and forth. “Bigger budget, bigger cast, bigger EVERYTHING. I mean Tara and Sam just got chased through the streets of NYC and he shot up a fucking bodega. This is more violent, more bloody. They need to make a statement.”
“Yes, exactly!” Mindy clapped. “We’ve got new characters to round out the suspect list or the body count,” she pointed at Ethan, Quinn, and Anika, “and now legacy characters are expendable, brought in just to be killed off in some cheap bid for nostalgia. It’s not looking good for Kirby or Gale. Even…”
Everyone turned and looked at Tara and Sam. “Guys,” You took a deep breath. “Even Tara and Sam aren’t safe anymore. Anyone could go.”
“Wait,” Ethan glanced up at you. “Am I in the friend group?”
“Yeah.” Mindy nodded.
“Am I a target?”
“Mhmm.”
“Am I… am I gonna die a virgin?”
You snorted and Chad gave him a weird look. “This also means that you newbies are automatically on the suspect list.”
“Why am I a suspect? Just because I’m randomly Chad’s roommate?” Ethan looked offended.
“No offense, but the roommate lotteries can be juked.” You shrugged and took a seat next to him. “We’ve just got to cover all our bases.”
As Mindy continued tearing into the others, you tried to steady your hands and breathing. Despite your extensive knowledge of horror films, knowing the rules for surviving a slasher movie never boosted your confidence. You all knew the rules last time and it didn’t make a difference.
“Y/N?” Your head snapped up at Ethan’s voice. Mindy had finished her spiel and the others were getting up to go their various ways. “Are you alright?”
“Yeah, this just fucking sucks.” You let out a shaky sigh. “I really hoped it was over.”
Ethan slowly took your hand and gave it a reassuring squeeze. “I’m sure it’ll be okay. You beat him once before, you can do it again.”
“I just hate that he keeps coming back. I’m just so scared.” You could feel a sob building up in your throat. “I barely made it the last time and I don’t want to be looking over my shoulder for the rest of my life.”
“Can I, uh, can I ask what happened to you, last time?”
It was the night of Amber’s party and you were having a great time. Unfortunately, you were also standing in the living room when Amber pulled out a gun and shot Liv in the head. After that, everything went to shit.
You ran as fast as you could up the stairs and dove into one of the bedrooms, locking the door behind you. You could hear someone on the stairs and you desperately began searching for something to protect yourself.
“Y/N, where are youuuuuuu?” Ghostface called, his scratchy voice filling your body with terror. “I’m coming to kill you first!”
“Shit.” You took one of the chairs and shoved it under the doorknob, then slid under the bed with a pair of scissors from the nearby desk. Time seemed to slow down as you listened for Ghostface, your heart beating faster and faster.
Something hit the door and you slapped a hand over your mouth, trying desperately to muffle your cry. Ghostface kicked the door again and again until the chair fell and hit the ground with a bang.
“I know you’re in here.” You watched as his boots stepped into the room. You began to shake, tears streaming down your cheeks. “C’mon Y/N, come out and play.”
Suddenly, a hand closed around your ankles and yanked you out from under the bed. It was Richie, a sadistic grin painted on his face as he lunged at you with a knife. You let out a scream and plunged the scissors into his shoulder as hard as you could.
“OW, FUCKING BITCH!” Richie bellowed and stabbed the knife into your hip.
Pain washed over your body as Richie continued to stab you over and over. You screamed as loud as you could and tried to kick him off, but he was stronger than you. Finally, you slammed your knee in between his legs, managing to distract him long enough to escape. You pulled yourself to your feet and ran.
“HELP!” You wailed, nearly falling down the stairs. Blood soaked your clothes and skin, pain radiating through you with every step. You could see Sidney in the foyer and she ran to you. “It’s Richie and Amber, he tried to kill me.”
“I know sweetie, it’ll be okay.” Sidney wrapped her arm around you and pulled you to the front porch. “Stay outside, I’ll take care of them.”
When the ambulance arrived, you were lying in a pool of your own blood, barely conscious. You had been stabbed twelve times in the legs, hips, and abdomen. It was a miracle that you and Chad had made it out alive. If they had been any later, you would’ve bled out and died.
By the time you finished your story, your cheeks were wet with tears. It had been a while since you’d told anyone what had happened to you. A twinge of pain radiated from your left side, where most of your scars were. Every once in a while, the wounds would ache.
“Y/N, I’m so sorry that happened.” Ethan wrapped his arm around your shoulders and you gladly leaned into his embrace. “I won’t let that happen to you again.”
“Thanks, Ethan,” you sniffled, “you’re a good friend.”
He smiled. “Of course. Friends don’t let friends get attacked by Ghostface.”
Despite everything, you believed him. Nothing would happen to you while Ethan was around and for once, you felt a little safer.

Masquerade of the Guilty is a fucking MASTERPIECE. The entire Fontaine storyline, and especially Furina’a character — it’s insanely perfect, beautifully thought out. This is easily the best storyline in all of Genshin Impact (in my opinion).
This entire post is going to be a ramble about this, so bear with me haha
First of all — I’m calling the entire quest series Masquerade of the Guilty, because that’s how the story preview trailer refers to Fontaine. Now.
For so long, the Archon quests followed pretty similar layouts and formats — arrive, something goes wrong/investigate issue, meet some characters, boss battle, rinse and repeat. Fontaine introduced such detailed and new game mechanics that were so fresh to the franchise — I didn’t skip through a single part of the quest because they were doing so much NEW stuff that I couldn’t just put two and two together.
The build-up of the Missing Women’s Case prior to Lyney and Lynette’s magic show, the introduction of that woman that seemed so meaningless but came back later, the actual MURDER and process of putting clues together, the picture changing with each new bit of information. From there, how small details became huge plot points and how each character had MEANING. Like, no offense to Sumeru, but half of those characters in the Archon quest just didn’t… do anything… who remembers Dori? I didn’t until I saw a video breaking down the top ten characters with the fewest lines. Lyney, Lynette, Navia, Furina, Neuvillette, etc… even some NPCs had stuff going for them. It was perfectly written.
The Oratrice, Indemnitium, all of these QUESTIONS. And then from the court portions of the quest, jumping to the Fortress of Meropide — we learned so much about Fontaine’s works and people through that. It was one of the coolest aspects of the game.
Overall, Fontaine has the strongest cast of characters. Fontaine did not shy away from backstories at all — there are plenty of dark and traumatic backstories throughout all of the previous regions, but Fontaine played so deeply into the cruel realities of just… people. Lyney and Lynette, for example — their backstories and general characters are one of my new favorites. Their bond, their actions, their personalities; it works so well. The Knave’s role in their lives, their positions in the Fatui. From Genshin Impact, I never anticipated them to go anywhere near the trafficking of the homeless population, but they did.
Tumblr media
And then Furina.
Furina is Genshin’s pariah of writing.
When she was first introduced in the story, I — and I’m sure many others — thought she was… a bit much. She was annoying, childish, couldn’t make up her mind, was constantly going back on things she’d said prior, and the biggest annoyance to me was that she was just… a celebrity in Fontaine. Meetings with her, her acting roles, the way people adored her? I thought it was weird. And then actually meeting her for the first time, she was batshit insane! I didn’t like her! During Lyney and Lynette’s trial, she just wouldn’t shut up and wouldn’t stop making assumptions. And then when it came to Childe’s, the Oratrice deciding him guilty. Her shock and bafflement and then how she played it off — it was so strange. She was such a strange and unpredictable character.
After the conclusion of Masquerade of the Guilty, we know what was going on behind the scenes now. And it’s tragic. She never had powers, never had true friendships, never was anything other than lonely. Her tears at the Fountain of Lucine (or whatever it’s called, I forget) were an out of nowhere thing — but then we got to see it all from her perspective. It was all so cruel, what she had to endure.
Tumblr media
She was a human cursed to be unable to die, who had to play it up and get everybody to love her otherwise Celestia would grow suspicious and all of her people would die. Focalors’s final speech to Neuvillette, her first conversation with Furina — it’s all insane. It’s actually insane how everything starts to slot together. And then as the guillotine falls…
Furina chose to suffer so that everyone could live. She did everything but still had to let herself become hated. She had to mourn the people of Poisson without being able to explain a single thing. She was alone, with nothing but her own thoughts and tears, for five hundred years.
I cried. A lot of people cried. I have to applaud her English VA — Amber Lee Connors — for such a beautiful performance. The balance from uncertainty and nervousness to empowered confidence and unhinged laughter… it was great. Her performance truly had an impact on the delivery of the story.
tldr: Fontaine is beautiful and I love it.

My Thoughts on the FNAF Movie
*If you haven't watched it and you don't want fucking spoilers, ignore this post until you do! It's seriously worth the 8 year wait!*
Mike and Abby are so fucking cute together! Abby is my favorite character in the movie and she's so autism coded.
A DREAM THEORY BOOK... Wow, Scott just loves making fun of Matt, doesn't he? Also damn Mike threw hands with a parent.
OMG ITS YA BOI WILLIAM AFTON! WHY DID YOU HESITATE SAYING "SCHMIDT" STEVE?! THAT'S A BIT SUSSY!
MATPATTTT OMG YOU FUCKER YOU WERE IN THE MOVIE YOU MOTHERFUCKING LIAR! LOL His Character is called Ness. Do you mean Van-NESS-a? Ah? Get it? get the FNAF SB Theory reference? no one? Okay...
So the Aunt of the Schmidt's was the other mystery villain. I hate her already. Thanks Scott for making a character perfect for slander.
Why do you have to bring the enragement child into the movie? Why fucking BB? Gag is funny but come on. it's BB. The most mutually hated character in the franchise.
NGL Max really didn't deserve to die man, Aunt Bitch just roped her into it.
Vanessa got blushing fr with the fucking rizz she doing on Mike...
Abby and the Animatronics are the best fucking thing in the movie. Hands down.
Golden Feddy!!!!!!!1 Also if Aunt Bitch is dead. Good. Stay Dead. You and your Cigarette smelling ass.
Cory's whole cameo is a mood, man. Bro's tired of shit.
Not gonna lie, I didn't expect Vanessa to be William's daughter in this continuity. Like, at all... I was expecting, however, for Vanessa to reveal that her name is a cover (like Book! William/Dave in the Novel Trilogy or Movie! William/Steve) and her real name is be Elizabeth.
"I always Come Back." HE SAID IT!! HE SAID THE FUCKING THING!
*Hears the Freddy Laugh starting in the credits* "No... " We are Waiting every night- *Screaming in FNAF*
FIVE NIGHTS AT FREDDY'S IS THIS WHERE YOU WANT TO BEEEE? I JUST DON'T GET ITTTTTT!
Lol the Smugness that Movie! Cassidy has watching William suffer in the suit in the backroom.

so ur trolls posts got me to watch trolls world tour again. i remembered liking it but i couldnt remember why, but now i know for sure
I FCUKING LOVE TROLLS WORLD TOUR!!!!!!!!!!!!
ALL THE INCREDIBLE WRITERS WERE SECRETLY ON TROLLS 2 !!!!!!’n
I CANT TBINK OF A SINGLE FLAW IN TROLLS WOULD TOUR!!!!!!!
i was NOT expecting a brilliantly written masterpiece about colonialism, but thats what i got, and its going in the greatest of all time hall of fame in my brain forever.
im not gonna sit here and regale you on the message of the movie. they only said fax, no printer, and its an important message to send kids. alot of the messages kids get about races and borders is “we are all the same 😚” but they came in with the “we are NOT the same and that is both good and bad, both exciting and dangerous so you need to be aware of dangerous ideas of “harmony”” and thats so real. kids need to understand differences are OK.
i love how they backed off the “chosen one” vibe poppy had in the first movie and talked about her flaws as a leader. while her stubborness was a good thing in the first movie to contrast branches pessimistic nature, it wouldnt have worked here, and i can see a cheap writer (like m*chael w*ldron) either insisting she gets away with her selfishness and carrying on with the happy ending anyway, or pretending that wasnt a character trait at all (because w*ldron doesnt watch the first movie and writes a sequel anyway)
my favorite scene is the bubble scene and the woods right after they leave funk where branch confronts poppy. do i even need to tell you why?
i just want to mention it because im pretty sure branch sings a cover of “girl crush” by little big town, which is a country band, and branch said he likes country music earlier and that slays. but when poppy comes in, what they sing is definitley not girl crush, and i cant tell if its giving “trolls can mix music” or im completley wrong and its a different song alltogether. but i cant tell if that song is homophobic or is super gay, so if im wrong thats prob for the best.
the only flaw i can think of is the country music, as a midwestern i can confidently say that was an affront to real blue grass country music. i guess born to die “works” but it didnt represent country as well as the other genres did. theres alot of controversy in the country music fandom with alot of singers who sound exactly the same and produced like its a factory line. but even if people still think miranda lambert and carrie underwood arent true country singers, their songs wouldve worked better than born to die. also the country trolls shouldve been on a self sufficient farm instead of the wild west. that wild western jazzy piano and country music isnt the same.
the only bad part about the movie is that it ended and barb ATE. SHE LEFT NO CRUMBS WITH THAT INTRO. send ask.
Lol I love your review. I love Trolls World Tour a lot too and all their other movies. Great stuff.
And yeah I love Poppy and how she can accomplish A LOT but she doesn't make it on her own, she needs character development and help from others just like everyone else. Characters are surprisingly realistic.
Barb really was goat, the best antagonist in the franchise. I love parallels between her and Poppy, how both had different intentions (Poppy wanted to help and Barb wanted to conquer) but Poppy's method was also wrong and both Poppy and Barb and everyone had to make compromises for all tribes to live in harmony because no one has to change their lifestyle for that to happen, all they have to do is accept that they're different and that's perfect. Just be yourself and let others be themselves.
That song in the end (Just Sing) slaps hard (and so does Can't Stop The Feeling btw).
P.S. Tiny Diamond fucking slays 🔥🔥🔥

So I've been on a Gears of War kick lately (obvs).
I played the games when they first started coming out in 2005 (I heard someone refer to them as "old school" and holy fuck, shut up), played through 1-3, and tried to play Judgement, but couldn't get into it. I haven't touched 4-5 at all.
I also read a couple of the books written about the universe by Karen Traviss, because that was really what drew me into the franchise. I'm not really a FPS shooter girl (although these are technically over-the-shoulder shooters), and I failed miserably at multi-player, but the campaign and gameplay were actually fun and engaging, and the world-building was absolutely brilliant. Just a super well-constructed universe, especially if you have any love for urban decay. It's funny how bad the graphics are in the first and second game, re-watching playthroughs.
Anyhow, GoW is probably a very "dude bro" type game on the surface, and that's definitely who got into it the most, but on a rewatch of the games I am absolutely jarred by how completely fucked up the protagonist, Marcus Fenix, must actually be. Like, all of the soldiers in the universe have seen and done some shit, but this goes well beyond "soldier tough guy".
His mother dies. He watches his father die after deserting duty to save him (and goes to prison for abandoning his post.) He watches his best childhood friend die, and becomes the unofficial guardian and protector of his dead-best-friend's little brother. He lives through the death of said little brother's children (of whom he was probably Godfather.) He sees one of his good friends commit suicide directly in front of him, with the weapon he literally just handed him. He helps the little brother euthanize his wife after finding her in a vegetative state. He also lives through the little brother dying in a suicide mission to save him. He realizes his father is alive, and watches him die A SECOND TIME.
And that's not covering decades of blowing up other living creatures and watching various other soldiers and friends die horribly.
The games cover most of these events, but they sort of gloss over them a bit. (Although Dom saying goodbye to his wife before he kills her was A LOT to rewatch.) Karen Traviss was a hell of a writer, even if I fucking hated her Mary Sue self-insert character SO FUCKING MUCH, and she took the whole story and ran with it, writing in a LOT of back story.
But holy shit. This dude was SO FUCKED UP. Like, although I haven't played them, I know he eventually marries Anya and has a son with her... AND THEN SHE FUCKING DIES, and he becomes estranged from his son.
How does nothing good ever happen to him? He's had like 15 minutes of happiness stretched across his entire lifetime, in little drips and drabs, and the rest has just been one horrifying atrocity after another.
Which is why, on the surface, it's so interesting to see Marcus Fenix presented to the average 20-something male gamer as "Oh yeah, such a badass," when -- after you dig into it -- it's like. My dude. No. He needs therapy and a hug. This is the most broken human being you've ever met. Don't glorify that.
