to be clear I am actually having fun with Fourth Wing & Iron Flame despite its shortcomings, and I may joke that "God, even the dragons have a romance going in this book" but that part is actually really good, I really only have a problem with the MC and her love interests (just not for the reasons the book wants me to lmao). Everything else? Fun as fuck! Great world building, amazing secondary characters that are fifty times more interesting than Violet (Rhiannon my beloved I can't believe they sidelined you like this), some really breathtaking scenes, ANDARNA... it's a fun read, just not for the reasons 90% of the online reading community wants it to be.
